i think sometimes about how some of the things i love i could've discovered through the context of hearing everyone telling me they sucked and i should hate them and taken that at face value, and i find it pretty saddening to think how much it would've made me miss out on a lot of media i find really compelling and even friends I've met through em

#personal crap #the obvious ones are if I'd heard about sp through everyone saying it was Not Okay To Like for the edgy jokes #or about su through the It’s Cringe SJW Propaganda losers #i never would've gotten to enjoy them as much as i have for years or met lots of really sweet people through them #i mean ffs half my online bffs i never would've met without getting into em #i try pretty hard to give everything a fair shake instead of letting Fandom Cringe (which mostly comes from seeing people have fun #and finding toxicity to cancel them over) poison my view of em
