a/n: reader is gn! back with my drabbles; i just love trying to convey a very specific mood or scene in 200 words or less, it's SO fun and challenging. i already have longer HQ fics drafted but those really help me getting a grasp of those chars (and i don't have to decide on only one boy because there's so many who have my whole heart heh). i hope you enjoy this boquet of sweets from me to you ♡ some additional thoughts at the end of this because apparently i have PLENTY ok bye
word count: 1.3k
𝐒𝐀𝐊𝐔𝐒𝐀 scoffs softly. Of course he got you flowers. He would have bought everything inside the damn florist shop if you had enough space for it in your tiny apartment. This bouquet of wildflowers must do for now; it’s so huge, it makes you vanish behind it completely when he shoves it into your hands the second you open the door for him. He can hear you laugh in surprise and that is enough for him. A few minutes later you watch him from where he sat you down on the kitchen counter, rummaging around the cabinets and searching for a vessel that can serve as a vase because the ones you have are way too small for the size of this bouquet. Under his breath he mumbles something about how you stubbornly refuse to let him buy you a house already, one with endless fields of flowers surrounding it; then he wouldn’t have to waste his time searching for a vase big enough and could just kiss you in a sea of petals. You both know that it’s only a matter of time till that happens.
𝐈𝐖𝐀𝐈𝐙𝐔𝐌𝐈 doesn’t fully remember when this tradition started. Years ago, it must have been in high school, when you were down with a cold and he brought you your favorite snacks and a bundle of flowers from the conbini after school. They were nothing special, wrapped in plastic and close to wilting soon, the price tag still on, but he can never forget the ways your eyes lit up when he put them down on your bedside table. Your voice had been so hoarse that day, you barely managed to get a Thank You out, and Iwaizumi didn’t know what else to say either, so he just sat on your bed and held your hand till you dozed off again shortly after, leaving him with all those buzzing feelings inside of his chest. How many flowers has he bought you ever since, week after week? It must have been hundreds. How many times has he kissed you somewhen between bouquet 84 and 931? Countless times. He won’t stop doing either of that in this lifetime.
𝐀𝐊𝐀𝐀𝐒𝐇𝐈 is overthinking again. One finger rests on your doorbell, the other is nervously fidgeting with the wrapping paper. Should he have read more about the language of flowers before coming here? What if he accidentally picked some that actually say “let’s just be friends” or “I like you only mediocrely” and not “you’re the light and love of my life, and my heart has never been fuller ever since you claimed it as yours, please will you be mine forever–in this life and each one that comes after that, beloved”? His hand clenches around the bouquet and he’s one heartbeat away from turning around on the doorstep and walking back to the flower shop, when you open the door smiling, so bright that Akaashi thinks he must have walked into the burning sun. Your fingers brush over his when you reach for the flowers, and he doesn’t register the words coming out of his mouth at this moment, his mind clouded by the thought of what your future wedding bouquet will look like. He will do some research for that later tonight, after giving you a hundred kisses.
𝐊𝐄𝐍𝐌𝐀 laughs quietly when he opens his mailbox in Animal Crossing. You sent him the Hello Kitty items, including the matching hat and dress for him to wear next time you stream together, paired with a sweet love note that he immediately saves to his favorites. Needless to say that he keeps all of them. Under the thick blanket you (wearing one of his sweaters) rub your cold feet against his, and giggle next to him when you unwrap the flowers he sent you in-game. Lying on top of both of you is your cat named Apple Pie, who purrs and makes biscuits, ensuring neither of you would be able to get up anytime soon. You mentioned once how you liked the in-game flowers better than real ones, because it made you sad to see cut flowers wilt and wither over time and the pixel ones would stay like this forever–just like the two of you, hopefully. Kenma leans down to press a kiss to the side of your neck and wonders briefly how he managed to get so lucky. If he had the magic power to freeze time, he would, but until he levels up he will keep you in his arms like this for a little longer.
𝐎𝐒𝐀𝐌𝐔 is looking proud of himself when he puts your plate on the counter and nudges it towards you. The three onigiri on it are decorated with tiny edible flowers, and your loud complaints about how they’re too pretty to be eaten make him laugh. So are you, and yet he still gets to devour you night after night. You look so ravishing, taking photos of your food from every possible angle to post them on your food blog later, with your tongue poking out between your lips like it always does when you’re focused. Osamu thinks that out of every person in the whole world, he must be the luckiest of them all because only he gets to call you his. He doesn’t have it in him to tell you to hurry and eat up already, knowing there’s some things you just can’t rush–food, love. The latter he learned from you and your incredible patience, and how you molded his heart into the shape of you with time, with gentle hands and stolen kisses, till he was all yours, only yours.
𝐁𝐎𝐊𝐔𝐓𝐎 nearly drops the flowers in fist when he fumbles for his keys, his sports bag almost sliding off his shoulders, one shoe untied. It’s messy, but he can’t wait to see you. You’re probably asleep by now, sprawled out on the couch with the remote still in your hand, re-playing his game on repeat. Seeing you cry earlier because you couldn’t go to watch him play in person broke his heart a little; he simply hates seeing you upset like this (and maybe it was also on him for telling you the leftovers in the fridge were probably still good to eat). He doesn’t flick the lights on, just walks straight over to the couch, a big hand brushing strands of hair out of your sleeping face. No feeling in the world can compare to you nuzzling your face into his palm and mumbling out his name drowsily. Bokuto drops the bundle of dandelions he picked on his way home into your nearly empty water glass on the table before carefully scooping you up in his arms, carrying you back to bed. For once he’ll be the big spoon tonight, making sure you sleep safe and sound.
𝐎𝐈𝐊𝐀𝐖𝐀 insists on facetiming you, even if it’s 2AM for him and you’re still jetlagged, being back in Japan after visiting him in Argentina. By now you’ve found all the little notes he left in your luggage, hidden between your shirts, souvenirs and in your toiletry bag, but there’s still one surprise left now that you’re back home (even though home is when you’re with him, but whatever). You’re busy complaining about the horrid traffic and your shitty boss and Oikawa barely listens, mesmerized by your face and the sound of your voice, and thinking about the ring he’s gonna put on your finger soon. On his screen you look up when your doorbell rings and the camera gets a little shaky when you rise to your feet, opening the door to the delivery of a bouquet of your favorite flowers, so big you struggle to grab it with one hand. For a bit all Oikawa can see is blossoms in the brightest colors and can only hear your surprised laughter, along with some curses because how dare he be so sweet when he’s an ocean apart where you can’t kiss him right now. Soon, he’ll be there again soon.

i REALLY like old money Omi who just wants to spend all his money on you but also kinda enjoys the cramped little apartment you live in. it feels like a bit of a cave and he likes that there's only room for both of you in there
Hajime childhood friends to lovers trope my beloved. how long it must have took you both to sort out your feelings for each other, one boquet at a time
i think Akaashi would write the best love letters
Kenma bullies ugly villagers off his AC island and he's really good at terraforming and will help you out with your island (this is based on me being terrible at terraforming and giving up after ten minutes)
Osamu and you started off as enemies to lovers because you left a bad review about Onigiri Miya once and so he invited you over to prove you wrong, and you fell in love one bite at a time (i really wanna write a SMAU on this but idk if i can pull this off, so if someone wants to grab this idea let me know so i can kiss you)
LITTLE SPOON BOKUTO AGENDA 🗣️ listen just imagine snuggling against this broad back, kissing the back of his neck, his butt wiggling as he gets comfy...
Oikawa idk what to say. i love him dearly but he feels the hardest to write to me

alright it's time! without further ado i present to you, the premise of the timkon and clois mermay fic i probably won't write.
in a world where mers are known to exist but are extremely rare - hunted to near-extinction in the past, perhaps, and mostly very reclusive - cadmus labs manage to get a tissue sample from a mer sighted in the sea nearby, although he evades capture and is never observed in the area again. it's enough for them to make a few attempts at cloning - the first twelve are unsuccessful, but the thirteenth... the thirteenth grows beautifully.
tim drake is an intern working directly under lois lane at the daily planet. he's only recently started his job, but he's great at it and he's thriving, and he really likes lois. her husband is nice, too, even if he privately thinks the man kind of lacks personality - he's just not as much of a go-getter as lois. his columns are great reads, though. tim just thinks lois's are better.
as usual, clark kent has a secret. a sea-cret, in this case - he came from the ocean. he was a little baby mer, tacky with the blood of his dead parents, who washed up ashore by the lighthouse the kent family has kept for ages. of course they took him in and raised him as their own, as best they could. he disappeared to sea again for a while when he met lori lemaris. though their romance didn't pan out in the end, they parted as friends, and she gave him a gift: a magic spell to let him transform into a human while on land, to have legs, but to always return to his true form in the water.
lois lane, of course, knows her husband's secret. lois lane would do anything to protect her husband and his secret. she nearly lost him once, a few years ago, when he tried to go for a swim to meet his old friend lori but was nearly caught by hunters. he escaped, but was injured; his tail still bears the scar. she still has the occasional nightmare about finding him on the docks, bleeding, mourning.
the thirteenth experiment - the cloned mer - escapes.
he doesn't know where to go - he doesn't have anywhere else to go - but he's never been in the open ocean before, with no tanks or barriers or nets to hold him back, and he revels in it. he's free! he has so much space to swim, he can leap from the water and twirl in the air! there are so many stars in the night sky, and the sun on the rocks is so warm and nice, and there are so many new kinds of fish he's never eaten...
...but mers are social creatures, and he's lonely. so he starts sneaking back towards the shore of the city he escaped from. he knows it's dangerous, but he just wants to see people. he's never met another mer. he hides near the docks, he swims by the beaches, he explores the marinas. he observes. he sneaks a little closer and closer day by day, growing braver with every venture that doesn't get him caught.
tim drake is eating a leisurely lunch by the waterside one day when he notices a creature in the water, staring at him.
"uuhhhh," he says. "hi?"
the creature ducks back into the water with barely a ripple and vanishes. but he's back, a minute or two later, and staring at tim's lunch. "...what's that?" he asks.
"this?" tim looks down. "this is some sliced mango. do you want some?"
he tosses a piece into the water. the thirteenth experiment takes a tentative bite. tim witnesses a being experience true bliss for the first time in its life, in real time. the next thing he knows, he's promised to come back tomorrow with more land fruits for the mer to try - and he's promised not to tell anyone. and there's a little thought in the back of his mind telling him that he really needs to look into any facilities in the area that might have the capacity to house a secret captive mer.
clark kent hears rumors that some people are claiming to have seen a young mer in the area recently. of course he has to investigate. of course he finds the thirteenth clone, swimming around the mouth of the river and playing in the currents. of course he looks into his face - his own face, years younger - and knows, deep in his bones, what has happened. of course he calls him family. gives him a name. offers him his home, as well, but kon-el declines; he's too in love with the ocean to want to abandon it to hide on land just yet.
clark is a master of keeping secrets. never from lois, but from the rest of the world? always. he tells lois about the boy in the water, about the facility that created him, about the scientists who kept him from the sea. lois swears that she'll stand by him no matter what, and that they'll do whatever they can to make sure this kid is safe.
what follows is a series of more and more ridiculous scenarios as tim and lois both attempt to keep the mer secret from each other, unaware that the other knows about kon because they both believe they can't tell anyone about kon for kon's own safety. kon, unaware that tim and kal-el's wife know each other either, is just having the time of his life swimming around and stealing bits and pieces of tim's lunch.
of course, the peace can't last. cadmus hears the rumors, too, and they want their prize back. early one morning, tim and lois see reports of a flotilla of strange, private fishing boats with unusual equipment and no markings, and they both know what that means.
kon is being hunted.
tim scrambles to get to their usual meeting spot, to tell kon to get away, to hide, but kon never comes. hours pass. the sun sinks below the horizon; the moon glimmers on the water. sick with worry, tim finally has to retreat. they must have found him already, he thinks. he has to find a way to get him back. he has some leads, about facilities that could actually hold a mer, and about those boats. he'll follow up on them. he will find kon.
(what tim doesn't know is that clark moves fast. clark knows all about being hunted. kon is safe, luxuriating in a bath bomb in clark and lois's apartment. he's got clark's laptop on a plank across the tub, and he's watching wendy the werewolf stalker with rapt attention. clark has gotten him some sushi. he's having a great time.)
lois, however, isn't home. lois followed one of those suspicious boats back to its dock, and lois is going to get some answers.
what follows: tim and lois both break into cadmus marine research labs and proceed to do a spiderman pointing meme at each other over a computer full of records about the mer-cloning experiments.
what follows: lois is so proud of tim. he's breaking and entering and getting to the truth without her lead at all! he's doing so good! good job tim!
what follows: lois puts tim in her purse and brings him home with her like a little dog.
clark, upon seeing tim with lois, is initially like ?!?!!?! why did you bring him here when you know kon is here?!?!? but then kon sticks his head out of the bathroom and goes "tim!!!!!" and clark is like. wait. you... the human friend you mentioned is tim???? and kon is like. you know him???? my mango dealer????
and then the falling action. lois spearheads cadmus getting shut down, and kon gets to splash around without fear. he gets clark to come splash around with him too. and he kisses tim :)
#rimi writes#the epilogue is that clark contacts lori lemaris about that magic stuff#and kon also gets the leg option spell#so he marches into the planet one day with IMMENSE delight and only a little wobbliness. sticks his leg out across tim's lap. TIM!!! LOOK!!#and tim is just so shocked he falls out of his chair#y-you--you--your--you--LEGS????!?!?!?#jimmy (thinking tim is in shock because his boyfriend is wearing short shorts) cracks up laughing#timkon#clois#tim#kon#the sushi and the goldfish jokes didnt even make it in. and this is already so fucking long#long post

(slight warnings ahead for death and murder and implied harm to children, nothing graphic or specific, but please take care of yourselves)
*.*.*
The young god was born cradled in the colors of the sky, with long flowing hair that was studded with countless of stars. An entire galaxy drifted and wove in and out of his hair and the sun and moon loved him immediately, claiming him as theirs.
"You are the guardian of stars," the other gods told him. "Guard your powers well."
The other gods taught him everything he had to know with love and care and great wisdom. They told him what it meant to carry all the stars in the world in his hair and to usher the sun and moon along when they liked to tangle themselves into his strands for too long, giggling mischievously.
The little god was happy up in the eternal world of the divine, but soon his gaze was drawn down to the mortal world. It was just so curious, so wild. Untamed and full of possibility and potential. He found himself watching the mortal world the same way mortal children watched the passing of seasons, a quiet awe for things no one could truly control.
"Do not let them lure you into giving up your powers," one of the other gods warned him with a serious, solemn voice when they caught him watching. "You will lose pieces of yourself until nothing is left."
"Has that happened before?" the boy-god asked and the others around him grew grim and solemn.
"Two of us vanished," the goddess of the ocean, admitted quietly. "We asked Life and Death, the oldest of us, the ones watching over fate, if they knew anything but they hadn't seen them."
"We looked everywhere we could," the goddess of crafts said, who had built the eternal palace with her own two hands. "But they could not be found."
"Who were they?" the young god asked softly, almost afraid of the answer when he realized just how keenly the loss of the missing gods was felt by everyone. A heavy moment of silence followed his question.
"The goddess of love vanished first," the god of war answered, his voice solemn and heavy with old but not diminished grief.
"And then the god of celebrations and joy disappeared," the godling of remembrance, of yesterday and today and tomorrow, answered, soft like speaking any louder would further hurt their aching heart.
"They loved the world and it cost them everything," the goddess of storms and lightning added. "If you give up too much of yourself, we will lose you forever as well, little one. So don't listen to the mortals, they steal everything and give nothing back."
The little boy-god nodded seriously and promised to be careful so he could stay where he was. At home, safe with the others. Where he could learn more about his powers and how to control them. Where he could grow to be as tall and impressive and beautiful as all the others.
He combed out his hair dutifully and ushered the sun and moon on when they got tangled in the strands for too long and he let the stars shine bright every night. Every dawn and dusk his stars were the first to appear and the last to leave, connecting day and night as surely as the tides let the ocean kiss the land.
Until he heard a terrible cry and couldn't help but peek below. A girl was kneeling in the grass and thick plumes of fire were rising from somewhere behind her. A village burning and plundered, many bodies slain in the dirt. She held a little boy in her arms, who was bleeding heavily.
"Please," she begged and the boy-god realized she was talking to the stars, for the moon was asleep that night, held securely in his arms. She spoke to the stars, for there seemed to be no one else she could turn to. "Please let me save my brother. Somehow. Please, anything you want, anything I can give you is yours!"
The little god felt terrible for the girl and the boy, but he could not make or accept deals. That power belonged to one of the other gods and was carefully guarded and these days it was never used, kept far away from the mortal world lest another god vanished without a trace.
"Please," she whispered on a broken sob. "Please, if anyone is listening."
The little god's heart broke, splintering with an ache that he had not felt before, coddled and protected as he was in the eternal palace. He was listening, he thought as the girl sobbed, holding the bleeding boy with infinite care and a terrible, looming loss.
He was listening and he couldn't make deals, but...he looked at his hair. Stars were made of something special and there were only so many. But, he reasoned as he reached out and gently plucked one from his hair, there were so very many. Surely. Surely he could give one away.
So he let the star drop down, watched as it streaked across the sky and towards the girl, who looked up with a gasp, instinctively reaching out. She caught the star, holding the drop of white-gold, glowing power in her hands and she immediately pressed it to her brother's chest, whispering fervent prayers under her breath.
The boy's wounds closed and he gasped for air and the girl laughed and cried as she hugged him close and the little god laughed and cried with her, clapping his hands in delight.
As the girl at last let go of her brother, she looked up at the sky. "Thank you," she whispered with such heart-felt gratitude that it echoed in the little god's chest like a second heart-beat. "I will never forget this."
With those words she climbed to her feet, helped her brother onto her back and rushed away from the burning village. Away from the horrible people with hearts of soot and ash, towards the safety of the horizon.
The little god ducked away from the edge of the palace with a smile and he told no one about his little misbehaving, but none of the gods noticed one little star missing. No one noticed what he had done, but that didn't matter, because that little star had changed the lives of two people entirely.
The little god went about his life, caring for the stars and never letting the sun and moon tangle in his hair for too long and he held them only when they needed to sleep. As sweet as they were, the world needed them, though he made sure to always send them moving along with a little kiss, which made them giggle and glow brighter.
And then he heard another desperate voice one night. Most of the other gods were asleep, only a small handful were awake, whose domain either crossed into the dark or was the dark, so he could sneak to the edge of the eternal palace unnoticed.
It was a couple, weak and thin and unable to go on any further. And they prayed and begged for anyone to listen. Anyone at all. Just a little help, they said. Just a little miracle.
"We need to get this medicine to our families," the husband said with tears streaming down his face, his wife and he clutching bundled bottles to their chests. "Please, we walked so far just to get it. Take our souls after, but please, let us save them first."
So the boy reached into his hair and plucked out one of his stars. He dropped it over the edge, watching it streak across the sky and the husband and wife gasped and caught it, almost dropping it as they fumbled to keep hold of the bottles at the same time. The moment their hands touched the star, it soaked into their skin, briefly making their bodies glow.
When the glow faded, they were strong and recovered and they leapt to their feet, deeply grateful, before they ran on. The boy peeked over the edge and watched as they ran and ran until dawn crested and they reached a cute little town. And he watched with a relieved smile as they gave everyone the medicine they had risked their lives for, saving their people from a terrible illness.
With a giggle he went to bed, curling up among the strands of the aurora and he cushioned his head on all the colors of the sky as he drifted off.
Once more, none of the other gods noticed a star was missing and as time passed, the boy found himself growing bolder and bolder. He never forgot the faces of the girl and the couple, the relief and gratitude and how they used his gift, their wishes, to help those around them. To rescue the ones they loved.
More and more often he found himself wandering the edge of the eternal palace and more and more often he heard voices, calling out. A plea for help that was heard by no one, for the palace walls were thick and the gods were busy caring for their domains.
Not only that, the little god realized as he watched the gods go about their day. They were hurting, still, over the loss of their own. They upheld the balance, they ensured the seasons came and went, that crops grew and water flowed and the world kept moving forward, but their hearts were heavy. They grieved what the mortal world had taken and could no longer love it as they once had. Could no longer listen to it as they once had.
But the little boy did. He did not remember the missing gods and he always took care of his tasks swiftly. So he listened and sooner or later, he found himself helping. He didn't always give stars away, for some wishes were made during the day and the stars in his hair evaded his fingers like flowing water.
But he found he could ask the sun for help, could shine guiding lights with a gentle touch, illuminating protective caves to shelter travelers, guiding the lost and terrified out of deep forests and sometimes he used the sun to blind pursuers to allow defenseless people their escape.
It filled him with great joy to help and every star he sent down to the world at night to fulfill a wish was given with nothing but the hope that it would do good. That it would give the people what they needed and had asked for.
But as the other gods had warned him, the stars in his hair did not regrow. They became less and less to the point where the other gods noticed at last and they scolded the boy terribly, fearing for him, before telling him he was no longer allowed to leave the palace walls.
"Do not fall like the others," they warned him. "Guard the rest of your powers fiercely, little one. Or nothing will be left."
And, for a time, the boy did as they asked. But as the days passed, he noticed that more and more often he heard people call out. They were talking to the stars now, putting wishes on them and while many made him smile and clap his hands in joy, some made him feel rather fretful.
He worried, for the people who had no one else. He understood that the other gods didn't want to share more of their powers, that they had already given much of themselves when they had made the world and in the end, there was only so much to go around.
He was scared of falling, too. Of losing the home and family he loved so very much.
But in the end, he heard a child cry, helpless and small and all alone and he slipped outside when no one was watching and quickly dropped a star over the edge. He couldn't have ignored the little one, nor could he have ignored the quiet prayers of an old woman which drew him out of the palace once more after that.
The galaxy of stars in his hair had shrunk down to a glittering net and yet, he reached up and plucked another one, letting it drop to fulfil the old woman's wish that her children and grandchildren may survive the plague safely.
"Sweet little young one," the goddess of storms said when she found him a moment later, great grief in her voice. "Do you not wish to stay here with us? Do you feel unsafe or imprisoned? Are you unhappy?"
"No, of course not," he promised, reaching out and she picked him up, wrapping his arms around her. "I love you all so much."
"But?" she asked, quiet and gentle and still so very mournful.
"But I am loved and safe and happy," he said. "You all are here for me no matter what." He peered past her to the edge that she carried him away from. "But they don't have anyone."
"I understand, sweet child, but your stars will never return to you," the goddess said. "We cannot do anything to stop you from falling once you've given too much of your godly powers away. So please, keep the last few and save us and yourself the grief of loss."
The boy promised and she pressed a kiss to his temple and set him down to go play, but deep down, the boy was worried he could not keep that promise, even if he wanted to.

Hunted Heart
(Fae! Wanda x reader)
Tag warnings: CNC elements, dubious content
Word count: 2102
Running. Panting. Every other moment, one look back. This was what you knew in these moments, moments before you certainly would meet your demise to the beast chasing you. Father had always told you never to cross the boarders of the Fae woods but you just wanted *one* little peek. But you had been too foolish and wandered too far, and something had seen you. And was now running closer and closer to hunt you down.
You hike your skirts up further, determined to make yourself run fast enough to take flight; but half a second later you crash, running into the very thing you were being chased by. A woman, taller than you by several inches, a catlike grin upon her face, pointed ears and huge, batlike wings spreading from her back. You back up instinctively but before you can run again, she’s tackled you to the ground, pinned to the forest floor like a pig for slaughter. “Caught you, little lamb.”
“L-let me go!” You can do nothing but struggle against the might of the woman. You’ve heard of the might of the Fae that wander these woods, powerful as gods, beautiful and terrifying as the sun.
“And let my next meal go? I don’t think so, little one.” With one flip you’re facing upward, back on the forest floor and arms pinned above your head. You feel suddenly very exposed, vulnerable even as the red headed woman looks you over like a cat with a bowl of milk. The Fae woman strokes your cheek, one long nail scraping over your lip as she stares at you. A whimper of fear escapes your lips, but the woman doesn’t look at you with malice as much as it is…a hunger you can’t place. “Poor little thing, all lost in the Fae woods. Such sweet innocence to think she might be spared…not by Wanda, no, I think not.”
“Please…” you weren’t even sure what you wanted to beg for first, to be spared or to be freed. But Wanda simply smirked. It then quite suddenly occurred to you that your skirts were *far* higher than you realized, and that Wanda’s other hand was lazily playing with the hem of your underskirt. “What-“
“Shh.” A phantom finger was placed on your lips; Wanda’s hand had not moved from under your stomach. “We’re going to play a little game, you and I. You win, and you walk away unscathed. I win, and you belong to me.”
There isn’t a way in the seven Hells you can say no to the creature in front of you. “What…kind of game.” Less of a question and more of a statement, though by no means any assertive one. You couldn’t deny the beauty of the Fae in front of you, and the growing fear in the pit of your belly you suspected to be less fear and more arousal by the second. But you couldn’t be, not when your safety was on the line.
“It’s very simple. All you have to do is say one tiny little phrase. I submit.”
Before you can even say yes or no, your underclothes have been torn off and your legs wrenched apart. Swirls of black magic, ticklish as a cat’s fur creep up your legs. Any thoughts of compliance vanished. You struggle against Wanda, fruitless as it is to do so. “What are you doing?! Let me go!”
“And here I thought you were going to be a cooperative little whore.” Wanda’s one powerful hand was still keeping your hands above your head, but her other was now tearing through your bodice, skin unharmed but your breasts were now exposed to the chilled autumnal air. Even you can feel the pebbling of your nipples as that curved fingernail scrapes over them. “Don’t you know what happens to girls who cross into my territory. They get treated as the thoughtless sluts they are.”
“Please don’t…” Tears prick your eyes but it seems to matter little to the woman who lowers her fanged mouth to your neck and sucks a deep red mark there, as if claiming you for her own. The shadowed tendrils have reached halfway up your thighs now. Yet as terrified as you are, you can *feel* the wetness growing between your legs. In the deepest part of your soul, you want those shadows to climb higher, to claim you as their own.
Before you can process the depravity that just ran through your mind, more tendrils drift up and hold your hands in place. Wanda’s mouth has gone from biting marks on your neck to your collarbone, to the top of your chest and very quickly onto your breasts, licking gently but still sucking those deep red marks wherever she can. A moan escapes your mouth and your hips involuntarily buck forwards. But the shadows hold you firmly in place as those accursed fangs scrape your nipple, only making your moans louder and whinier.
“Such a needy little thing I’ve captured here.” Wanda purrs the sentence between markings, still never going *right* where you need her. “This could all be over if you just say those two little words, dear.”
“Never.” You hiss. Your composure is hair-thin at this point, but you cannot, *will* not break to this creature. But one lick on your hardened nipple and that hair threatens to snap. Wanda’s tongue may as well have been a bolt of lightning with the way it wracks your body with pleasure. Her mouth latches on and sucks as if it were her last dying breath, and you could swear your moans echo the air of the woods around you. Her unoccupied hand now rolls your other nipple between her fingers, pinching every so often. You swear the coil in your lower stomach grow tighter the harder she plays with you. “Ff-fuck…”
“That’s a dirty word, little lamb.” Wanda’s mental voice is almost more honeyed than her real one; that didn’t make it any harder to ignore the truth of her statement. You couldn’t be enjoying this, yet the drip down your thighs absolutely suggests otherwise. Your struggles against her have turned more into thrusts up against her thigh, a thigh that has conveniently shifted between your legs for you to rut on as if you were a bitch in heat. It only intensifies the arousal you feel; the urge to fight and run is ever present, though it is swiftly being drowned out by the growing need for release. But the last bit of stubbornness is still stuck like something between your teeth. You want to scream, cry, do anything but feel as turned on and usable as you currently do.
As if sensing your mental retaliation that still lingers, the shadows force your legs apart. Cool air hits your cunt like a smack to your face and you groan at the sensation. Wanda’s mouth leaves your chest and she settles on the soft forest floor, sitting almost like a maiden picking flowers. She peppers tiny kisses all over your thighs in an almost loving manner. Yet, she still holds your hips down (as if you were able to run away at any point now). The beating in your heart has turned into a drumming so loud it could echo across the forest. Your arms were now free, yet the only place you want them is tangled in her soft red hair. Any previous lovers you had taken were never inclined to pleasure you this way and it had never bothered you much; but now the only thing on your mind is Wanda’s mouth in that very special place you only touched between the sheets. The “please” that you were thinking almost left your mouth, but you bit it back just in time. You wouldn’t break now, not after all the effort you put into standing strong all this time.
“Oh, but you have very loud thoughts sweetheart, I could swear I almost heard you start begging me…” Wanda murmurs from between your legs. One finger is lazily drawing circles up your thigh while her kisses draw closer and closer to the need gathering in your cunt. “Two little words and you’ll get what it is you’re craving most.” Her words ghost over your core and make you shudder; if her muscles arms weren’t holding your hips in place you’d kick your legs in frustration. But your composure cracks just enough for the whiniest “please…” to ever cross your lips.
Wanda smiles, an almost catlike grin, and murmurs, “What a good whore…” as one long lithe finger slides into your core. Your hips buck and a pitiful wail crawls from your lips. The Fae’s finger crooks in a motion that makes your cunt drool and your cries become whimpers as you fight the finish that’s slowly creeping closer. A second finger joins the first and before you can put it together, Wanda’s fingers are pumping in and out, playing with a spot so deep and secret it threatens to break you apart. Your release is so close…and then all movement stops and Wanda is retracting her fingers and licking them clean. “Oh poor lamb, you didn’t give me what I wanted so you can’t have what you so desperately need. I told you, those were the rules.” The pout and whine you make in retaliation must have been quite impressive as Wanda laughs, a clear and sweet sound amid the quiet of the forest. “Oh dear, what a pickle you’re in. I could smell how close you got to tipping over the edge, how much you *needed* it. But you’re still too in your head…just let go. Two little words, remember? Just two little words.”
The trigger snaps. The tension between your legs, the fog in your head, it all becomes too much. Tears you didn’t even realise were gathering in your eyes trickle down your cheeks as you finally let loose the breath you were holding. “I-I submit. Please finish me, please…” Wanda doesn’t hesitate a second longer; her fingers are instantly deep inside you again, while kisses are planted up your thighs.
“Good pet, doing as she’s told…” Wanda’s voice echos in your mind, as her mouth moves closer and closer up your leg until her mouth hovers just over your cunt. You can feel her ragged breathing ghost over you like a breeze on a hot day; you thrust your hips up to get the touch you so desperately crave. Wanda gives another feral grin and slowly wraps her mouth around her prize. The first lick nearly finishes you, her tongue so gentle yet demanding on your clit. Wanda works in earnest now, alternating sucking and licking and thrusting her fingers deep inside you.
It’s too much, and your release is approaching even faster than before. “Ah-ah, Wanda…”
“Yes, lamb…something you’re after?” The mental voice wraps over your brain like liquid gold, even as her mouth is busy flicking and sucking the bud between your legs.
“I need it, please!”
“Need what, dear?” You can feel yourself tipping ever so close to the edge, almost there, but something is keeping you from getting what you so desperately need. The pants and moans, the grabs into that scarlet hair, even the thrusts against her mouth, none of it conveys what you crave. You know Wanda is holding you on the edge like a dog on a leash, and there’s only one thing you can say to break the chain.
“I submit, I’m yours, please Wanda…let me finish, please…”
It’s like a dam breaking; the release is a tidal wave, pleasure washing over you as you tip over that edge. Wanda rides the wave with you, savouring every drop of your release on her tongue while fingers and tongue milk every scrap of pleasure she can get at. Your screams could have woken titans or rattled the very trees of the forest.
It feels like hours when you finally come down from your pleasure high. But when you do collect yourself and your bearings, you find yourself…alone. Disheveled and fucked senseless, but alone. As you pick yourself up and try to make your skirts and bodice tidy, something catches your eye. On your wrist, plain as day and as black as night, is a mark, shaped almost like a crown. Little swirls of shadow creep from it, up and around your wrist to your fingers. Suddenly that honeyed voice is in your head again, whispering, “Remember pet, you submitted…you’re mine now. And you’ve got a debt to repay.”

Stars in the Evening
Hello everyone! Just felt like writing a little something for our dear Obi, so here we go! (Quite proud of this one, btw, ngl...)
I hope you all like it! Tell me what you think about it!
****
Pairing: Obi-Wan Kenobi x reader
Warnings: Mentions of warfare and grieving, sad, hurt/comfort
Summary: This war has taken its toll on you, but Obi-Wan is here to help.
Word Count: 2199
Obi-Wan Kenobi’s Masterlist – Main Masterlist
You know that it shouldn’t hurt so much anymore.
You’re at war. It happens. Dying. Killing. Surviving. Death and life mingled like never before.
It’s everywhere, in every corner of the Galaxy, around every sun in the sky. It’s everywhere, after years of fighting, you should be used to it.
You’re not. It hurts. A lot. It hurts to see your friends dying, to see hope slowly vanishing from their eyes, to take lives after lives because it’s the only way, or so they say. You’re not sure anymore. You’re not certain of anything.
You were not trained for this, though. Jedi, these are keepers of the Peace. No generals. No commanders. No soldiers at all.
And now there you are, in the gardens of the Jedi Temple on Coruscant, sitting on your own on a bench, and you’re not sure of anything anymore. When you look down at your hands you’re surprised to not find them reddened with blood. When you look up at the stars above your head, you wonder if they’ll still be there tomorrow evening.
You did not expect this life, but there’s no choice, not any real one, at least. There’s the Force. There’s Life. There’s Death. And in between there are innocents to protect. That’s what you keep repeating to yourself; these are the words you believe less and less these days…
There’s one thing steady though, through the tumultuous current. One constant, as unwavering as the speed of light. A shame it’s a forbidden one…
You feel his presence before he appears. You always do. For a long time, you thought it was because of the Force, because of the peculiar way It moves around him. You’re no such fool now, after so many years.
You love him, it’s as simple as that.
When you look up, Obi-Wan is walking towards you, in his brown robes, in his beige clothes and his leather boots. He’s worried, you can tell. He’s got this frown of his, the one he wears when he is saddened or afraid. His beard and hair glimmer in the soft yellow lights of the garden, it’s warm and reassuring. You’re almost ready to smile at the mere sight of him.
Almost… not quite…
His pace slows down as he approaches, blue eyes fixed upon yours, like he’s afraid you’ll run away and disappear if he comes too close. And maybe he’s right. If he approaches, maybe you will flee. It’s easier than to face the truth.
You want him to hold you tight though. You want him to lie to you, lie to you with all he has in him. You just want him to claim that everything will be alright, just for a moment, before the world crumbles down for good.
He stops a couple of steps away from you, head slightly tilted to the side. You want to crumble. You want to let it all out, but you shouldn’t. You can’t. You’re a Jedi. You can’t let your emotions get the better of you…
He’s standing still, wrapped in his warm cloak and silence. No sound of pebbles rolling under his feet anymore. Just the distant buzzing sound of speeders crossing the gigantic city. The quiet whispers of the night. Your breathing, and his.
He lifts his hand to his face to run his fingers through his beard, his other arm crossed before his chest. He’s worried, thinking, weighing his options. You recognize the obvious sign.
“Can I do something for you, Obi-Wan?” you ask him, breaking the silence first.
He stares at you for a moment more before letting out a sigh, and letting his hands fall idly by his side.
That’s how he feels. Idle. Unable to help. He hates it with all his might.
“May I join you?”
You merely nod, scooting over to make some room for him to sit by your side. You look at him as he does so, movements slow and reassuring, soothing. You stare for a moment at his profile as he looks at the gardens before him. Dark blond hair and beard, blue eyes that seem sadder than they should be. When he looks at you and finally speaks, his voice is deep, warm, soothing. Not quite like a friend. Not like a Jedi. He speaks more like a man in love.
Is it so surprising, after all?
“I heard about what happened during your latest mission. I’m sorry.”
“It’s war.”
“Master Lios was a dear friend of yours. I’m terribly sorry.”
You don’t say anything. You can’t. Because there are too many conflicting thoughts in your mind right now, too many feelings you should suppress but you can’t.
You’re grieving a friend. You feel guilty for making it out of this mission alive when your friend didn’t. You feel relieved because Obi-Wan should have come with you to Tattooine, but he was called away to help Anakin at the last minute. And you feel so terribly guilty for being relieved, but you’re glad he wasn’t there, that it wasn’t Obi-Wan who came with you and died.
You shouldn’t feel like that, and yet you do. Because Master Lios was your friend, but Obi-Wan is…
You look up at him again, blue eyes catching your gaze, and the truth is engraved all over your heart.
Obi-Wan is everything.
He looks sad. Filled with pain. Infinite eyes to host a never-ending sorrow. You wish you could make it disappear, but then again, how could you? You feel just the same…
Because you’re at war. Because you’ve killed, because you saw your friend dying, because you love Obi-Wan with every fibre of your being and you’ll always be apart…
You’re a Jedi. But you’re human too. How much pain can a human take before it kills them?
Only when Obi-Wan brushes the tear falling down your cheek with his thumb do you realize you’ve been crying.
“I heard you were wounded,” he goes on, but you shake your head.
“Nothing serious. I’m fine.”
But you’re still crying, you can’t seem to be able to stop. Silent, salted tears you can’t bite back this time.
Before you can say anything else, Obi-Wan wraps his arms around you, holding you close.
He smells of candles, of leather, of warm tea. Linen. Quiet nights. Early mornings.
He smells like home.
You feel safer, all of a sudden. The lie works, and for a moment more, you believe everything will be fine. As long as he holds you close, you’ll be just fine.
He shouldn’t let himself run his fingers through your hair, shouldn’t hold you so tightly, but he can’t help it. Your eyelashes tickle his cheekbone as you close your eyes, your hair feels so smooth between his rough hands. You smell of candles, of koyo melons, of sweet soap. Cotton. Hidden whispers. Quiet dawns.
You smell like home…
“I’m not sure I can do this anymore, Obi,” you confess in a breath, shaky and fragile, words swallowed by the night as soon as they pass your lips. “It’s too hard. And I… I’m so tired…”
“I know. I know…”
“I wish we could run away,” you admit.
You feel him sighing, feel the warmth of his breath against your temple, the movement of his chest as he empties his lungs. When he kisses your forehead, you both know he shouldn’t.
None of you truly care though.
“I wish we could too,” Obi-Wan whispers against your skin, his beard tickling you as he moves his lips. “But we can’t. None of us could live with the guilt if we did. Not now, at least. Not when we are so desperately needed here.”
You nod, although you’re not as convinced as you usually are. You’ve had this talk before, the wise resolution is always the same. This time though, you wish he could change his mind, gather his things, and leave far away…
But then, the war is everywhere, in every corner of the Galaxy, around every sun in the sky. It would be useless. There are too many ghosts to leave behind. They would always end up following you. Besides, if you left, how many more ghosts would be born out of your absence?
He’s right. You know he is. It still hurts all the same.
You tighten your hold on him, fists grasping at the smooth fabric of his clothes. As if holding onto a lifeline.
“What if you’re the next one?” you ask, voicing this fear that’s devouring your heart, that’s keeping you awake at night. Your voice is so drenched with tears, so tight in your throat, you barely recognise it as your own. “What if you leave me? What would I do then? Obi-Wan, what would I do if you died?”
But he shakes his head, holding your face in both his hands, thumbs grazing across the smooth skin of your cheeks in a delicate caress. He smiles.
“I will not pretend that there are no risks at all. But it doesn’t matter, Y/N. I’m here. I'll always be here for you. Don't you know that by now? That I'll never leave? Not really, at least. Not the way it matters."
He takes your hand, guides your palm to rest on his chest, right over his heart, so you can feel its steady beating.
“I should not give it away,” he breathes, words that he shouldn’t say but they’re true all the same. “And yet, it belongs to you. Always have. Always will. Even if something happened out there, I would always look after you. Through the Force. I would always be there.”
You nod, and you don’t need to speak the words for him to know that you feel the same. That your heart belongs to him, that it has for what seems like forever, that it will always belong to him.
“I’m so scared,” you let out in a murmur. “And I know it’s not the Jedi way, but I can’t help it. I’m just… I’m so tired…”
“I know. I know…”
“And this… the way I feel for you… I simply cannot… ignore it. It hurts. It’s painful and maybe… Maybe I love you a little too much, and that's why it hurts sometimes."
You let out a trembling sigh, before leaning to rest your head on Obi-Wan shoulder. He rests his cheek against your hair.
“Do you think I’m weak, for feeling this way?” you ask him.
But he shakes his head, voice hoarse, his throat too tight.
“No, of course not. I think… this is war. And we were taught to love all. How can we fight a war if we’re meant to love and protect even those we must destroy? And we have lost so much already… I do not think you are weak. Not at all. I simply think you’re tired, and in pain. After all you’ve had to live through, it isn’t that surprising. But I also know that you are brave, caring, generous, and loyal to a fault. And I know that no matter how you feel now, tomorrow, when your help is needed, you will answer. Because you were born for this, just like I was. And it is not our way to let others suffer when we can help, even if just a little, even if we can’t save them all.”
You nod, because he’s right. Tomorrow, after a sleepless night, you know perfectly well what will happen. You’ll meditate in your chamber as the sun rises over the skyscrapers, setting their windows on fire. You’ll get dressed. Head for a breakfast you’ll barely touch at all. Laugh at Ahsoka and Anakin and their everlasting banter, because you always do. You’ll talk with Obi-Wan, trying to hide the way you want to kiss his lips every time they move. You’ll train for a while. You’ll wash up and you’ll head to the Council Meeting, and you’ll listen to the reports and you’ll tell about what happened to Lios. And then Master Yoda and Master Windu will turn to you with a new mission, a new village to protect, a new base to evacuate. And you’ll accept, with a bend of your head. Silent. Obedient. Because you know that if you don’t help, no one else will.
“I wish we could be selfish, just for once,” you plead. “I wish you could stay. Just this once. I wish we could both stay and be as we were before all this: a little more innocent; a little more carefree.”
“These times have passed. They are only memories now. But I am still here. I am still here.”
You let him hold you for a little longer. And you wish he would kiss you, but you know he won’t. Because you are both Jedi. Because it would hurt too much to believe in love when dawns are bathed in blood rather than hopes. Because it would hurt him too much if he let himself love you the way he craves to.
Instead, it’s better to hold you tight, and to pretend it’s enough; as if he were certain that the stars above your heads would still be here tomorrow evening...

The Call Of Fate, Chapter 12
Note: Rather short chapter.
Jade was bored around the base for most of the day since the team were all out on a mission. She’d spent some time playing bass and then had a walk around outside in the sun, but then she found herself just mindlessly flicking through the TV channels until they got back.
When the team finally arrived home, everyone was a bit beaten and bruised. But Loki and Thor were healing quickly as usual. But they were all triumphant and riding high on adrenaline as the mission was successful.
‘Party tonight, everyone’s invited!’ Stark announced before going off to shower.
‘I swear he just looks for any excuse to throw a party.’ Loki commented as his armour vanished and he was now in a dark green shirt with black jeans.
‘A party sounds good though.’ Jade shrugged.
Loki chuckled as he walked over to her and draped his arm around her shoulder. ‘What do you want to wear to it?’
‘Uhm, not sure yet. Why?’ Jade raised an eyebrow at him.
‘I’ll change you, so we can get a head start on drinking of course.’
‘Ok, why don’t you surprise me then.’ Jade crossed her arms over her chest.
‘Alrighty.’ Loki grinned and stepped back a little as he waved his hand on front of her.
She looked down and was surprised, yet impressed with his choice. It was a black dress, casual but on the slightly dressier end of the scale. Ideal for the party.
‘Well, that’s definitely better than taking all the time to choose an outfit and getting changed.’ She grinned back at him.
‘Exactly. More time for drinking.’ He winked at her.
They did get a bit of a head start on the rest of the team, but it meant they were in good spirits when the party got into full swing. Music, dancing, games and lots of laughter.
Jade was having a blast, it was nice to let loose again and just enjoy herself. With good people around her that cared about her.
‘Let me guess, Loki conjured up that dress for you?’ Natasha asked her at the buffet table.
‘Yeah, he did. So we could get extra drinking time in.’ Jade laughed.
‘I thought as much. The touch of green on the back is nice, but clearly Loki.’
‘What green?’ Jade raised her eyebrows.
Natasha laughed and snapped a picture of the back of her dress. She showed Jade the picture, and low and behold there was indeed some dark emerald green strips through the back.
‘Typical Loki.’ Jade laughed. ‘Though it does look good.’
She locked eyes on Loki and moved through the crowd towards him. When she reached his side, she elbowed him playfully.
‘Are you trying to lay your claim on me or something?’ She teased, narrowing her eyes at him.
‘Whatever do you mean?’ He asked innocently.
‘The green on the back of my dress.’ Jade said knowingly.
Loki chuckled. ‘You can never go wrong with a bit of green in your life.’ He winked at her.
-
As the party came to an end, Loki walked Jade back to her room. While they were drunk, they weren’t completely out of it.
‘Tonight was pretty fun.’ Jade laughed as they reached her room. ‘Thanks for walking me back, it is such a long way to go.’
Loki chuckled and leaned against her door. ‘It certainly was. Far too far for a beautiful young woman, such as yourself, to walk alone.’
‘Yeah, very dangerous too. You never know who’s lurking in these corridors.’ Jade grinned.
‘Very true. Some really unsavoury characters here.’ Loki said with shifty eyes.
They both laughed.
‘Well… thanks, Loki.’ Jade smiled up at him.
‘What for?’
‘Just for being you. Tonight was just what I needed, and it wouldn’t have been good without you.’
Loki smiled and cupped her cheek. She closed her eyes and leaned into his touch. But when she opened her eyes, he was leaning down closer to her. Her heart began beating quicker and she could see his eyes glazing over a little.
He brushed his thumb against her cheek and then slid his hand down to gently hold her chin. Jade looked deep into his eyes and found herself closing the distance between them as she reached up and wrapped her arms around his neck.
Then their lips collided, softly and tentative at first. But when they both knew it was what the other wanted, it got more heated. And their hands began roaming down over each other’s bodies, pulling each other closer. Their breathing became heavier and Jade felt like her legs were about to turn to jelly.
When they leaned back, Loki glanced down at her slightly puffy lips and her cheeks were red. He engulfed her hands within his.
‘Do you uh… want to come in for a nightcap?’ Jade asked shyly.
Loki gave her her answer by kissing her again, then backing her into her room and kicking the door shut behind them.

IV- Space Between Pt.2 - Pillow Talk
-----------------------------------------------Sleep Token fanfiction exploring lore and a few things between. I will TW scenes/chapters as needed, if I miss something please DM me.
Previous Chapter - Fields of Elation
Edited: 8/2/24 Word count: 993
-----------------------------------------------
"It's almost dawn," Sleep said quietly, tracing shapes on Vessel’s chest.
"Don't remind me." He sighed, feeling her head rise and fall from where she rested between his legs, her bare torso laying over him.
She wasn't as heavy as a human would be. There was a lightness to her that was disheartening in a way. He feared he might breathe too hard and she would vanish into the mist that settled low over the fields.
His skin was damp from dew. They'd reveled in one another for hours. Days it seemed. And yet even in this dream world, reality lingered. Sunlight was beginning to taint the tops of the grasses and flowers around them, revealing their true colors. Rich golds, pale reds, a strange shimmering violet.
And Sleep.
Who remained pale as moonlight, her pink eyes shining through white eyelashes. She was untouched by the sun, her hair a blanket over her naked body. Perfection.
Vessel drew his thumb across her cheek and guided her to look at him. For a moment she locked eyes, then let her gaze fall.
"What's wrong?" he asked.
"It's nothing."
"Please tell me. I'll do anything to make it right."
Sleep folded her hands over his heart and propped her chin upon them. "Tell me about the shadow."
Vessel's smile faded. "What about it?"
"Her," Sleep corrected. "I cannot see her, but I can feel her lingering out there. In the waking world. I will not allow her to enter this place.”
"She claims to be a part of me, but I don't know what that means. I never saw her before I met you."
"That is correct, yes.” Sleep rested her ear on her hands, looking away from him. "Has she told you what she wants?"
Vessel sighed, laying his head down on the grass to stare at the lightening sky. "All she said is that she wants to devour me."
"And you would allow her?"
"Why would I want that? All I want is for her to go away. To leave. I just don't know how to make her. Please don't be upset with me."
"Hush love," she said. "I'm not upset. Only concerned. I don't want her to take you from me."
"No. Never. She could never be what you are to me. She's an annoyance. A strange, unsettling whisper."
"Whisper..." Sleep mused. "Be careful around her, my love. Whispers have a way of becoming louder. I'll see what I can do about getting rid of her, but I cannot promise the means will be pleasant."
Vessel hesitated only a moment. "Have you delt with beings like her before?”
A strange glimmer flashed through Sleep’s eyes but when she blinked it was gone. Still, the hint of a smile played on her lips. “I have encountered them, yes.”
“What is she?”
“You distract from the topic love. Will you stand with me if I find a way to… banish the whisper?”
“Yes. Of course. I said I would do whatever it takes. I mean that. Just give me a chance to prove it,” Vessel said.
"You will, my love. In time." Sleep kissed him gently. "In time."
-------------------------------
Vessel rolled over and Sleep was gone, taking with her the scent of gardenia, the warmth of the sun, cool dew on his skin, fields of flowers.
He was in his bed.
Alone.
But not...
He lifted his head and peered into the hallway where the shadow stood, peeking around the doorframe. All he could see was a single glowing pupil and he shuddered.
"She has returned," the whisper said, matter of fact.
Vessel could feel an ease to his anxieties. A spark of creativity and the drive to write. To put life into music. Emotion. Love.
Sleep had returned to him and given him pure elation. He sat up and stared at the Whisper.
"She's here to stay," he said confidently. "I don't know exactly what you want or where you came from, but if you don't like that she's around, you should leave. I'm dedicated to Sleep. She is everything to me."
"Already?" Whisper asked, her voice barely louder than a sigh.
"From the very first day," he replied, fists balling up in the sheets.
Whisper remained silent, staring at him with one unwavering eye. She didn't blink. The back of his neck prickled.
“So will you leave?" he asked, uncomfortable with the silence.
"I will never leave you. Someday I hope you will understand."
She vanished as quickly as Sleep had and Vessel paused, listening for her. After a few moments he stood and went to the door, half expecting to peer into the hallway and see her standing there, but there was nothing.
Vessel rubbed his face. What were the chances he was hallucinating, and the being wasn’t real? In a way, he didn’t want to come to terms with the thought that he might be imagining all of it. If Whisper wasn’t real, did that mean Sleep wasn’t as well? Were they so connected?
There was a presence. A strange sensation in his core that he was not alone and yet it wasn’t the same as being threatened. It simply existed. Did that mean Whisper was near though he couldn’t see her?
His head ached. Vessel closed his bedroom door and locked it though he knew it was foolish to do so. Still, there was the hope that Whisper would understand the implication.
He slid back into bed. Whisper’s presence didn't matter. Sleep would find a way to rid him of her. He trusted it to be so. To end this strange spirit's residence in his home. In his life.
Deciding not to dwell on it was easier said than done, but he rose from his bed and set out to the spare room in his flat, straight to the keyboard. His muse had blessed him. He must compose. He must create.
He must ignore the shadow in the hallway.

Favorite Musical #9: Passing Strange
Passing Strange- This is, forgive the term, a strange one for me to claim as a favorite. I honestly don’t listen to it much, but I think about it a lot. It’s one of those shows that just absolutely changed my worldview on what musical theater is and can be.
It wasn’t a show I had planned on seeing. I didn’t choose it. I went to a conference on Lighting Design in New York City for a few days and attendance at this show came with the conference. We got a backstage tour, and everything was great.
This isn’t my subject matter. This is a show about a man, a black man, growing up in the 70s. He breaks away from his home life (which isn’t great, but not abusive,) and experiences the counterculture of West Berlin. This is a boy not becoming a man but becoming an artist. Finding himself in drugs, sex and rock and roll. He struggles so hard to get away from who he was and never really finds himself…until his connection with who he vanished, and he’s left at a crossroads to mature and reconcile or drift further…
It’s a rock show with a small cast and minimal sets. It is a minority cast. The technical aspects, why it was chosen for us to see as part of a lighting conference, were spectacularly creative. The back wall of the set was lights. All kinds of lights in lots of different colors. In the first act they were muted behind a white curtain. When Youth gets to Berlin, the curtain is pulled to reveal all the lights in the glory…and at the end, they are covered with a scrim to be muted again, not in a color of promise and hope, but of sadness and maturity. It’s…it was phenomenal.
…and why does the show sit with me? The author of this autobiographical show put himself In a position to come face to face with his greatest mistake, his biggest regret in front of an audience of a 1000 and some people every performance. He stands there and seeks an absolution in front of strangers for the crime of not understanding his mother’s love 8 times a week…an absolution that can’t come. And when you’re sitting there in that audience watching a show about finding out what’s real in life… I don’t think a moment like that will ever happen for me in a theater ever again. Ever.
I loved my mother. She’s been gone for 12 years now. I was with her when she passed. His story is not my own… but dammit. It’s even more heartbreaking looking back at it now. Stew was 46 when the show was playing. That’s how old I am now. I…just…I can feel a connection with this show that I just don’t feel with others.
I do like a lot of the music in the show. It’s not my style in some cases… but it’s solid. Lyrically appropriate. It’s fun where it needs to be. The show holds together and while I am not a person of color, I feel like I was able to see this life and understand it. I could relate to some of it in a way I didn’t expect.
I’ve seen that some theaters have done this show. A casting notice somewhere near me (outside of my normal range,) for the show appeared sometime last year. I’m skeptical it can be done effectively without Stew at the helm. I didn’t see the show advertisement, I might have made the trek. I know Spike Lee did a pro-shot of the original production in it’s final weeks. I’ve seen it. I should have bought it (might still,) so I can share it with others and so I can see it again…
I’ve bought the script for this one as well as the recording. So, I’ll leave you with my favorite lyric from my favorite song (Love Like That):
I remember when I owned everything,
The sun and the moon and the rain,
And my domain
Stretched and yawned along the astral plain.
The universe is a toy in the mind of a boy,
And life is a movie too, starring you.
Your whole family’s the cast and crew,
That’s a little secret between God and you.
But ain’t it strange how it all makes perfect sense,
When your life becomes evidence
Of the need to feel
Love is more than real.
Because your mother’s love may feel insane,
That’s cuz she really knows everything.
Too bad it takes so long to see what you’ve been missing.
…and I did about 50% of that from memory.

A Review of Exaltation
They hate each other so much, lmao.
The loss of faith in Ladybug is really emphasised, I’m glad that the plot didn’t just go forward without mentioning the social ramifications of losing the Miraculous Box. The masses of Paris never had much of a role before, aside from being fearful civilians or supporters. In this season, however, they have gone from side-characters and scene-fillers to having voices of their own. Realistically, of course, people will have contentions with Ladybug. Jalil’s own little sister risking her life for what appears to be a foolhardy mission for Ladybug would irk his nerves. I didn't expect this, but I'm glad the writers wrote this in.
It’s symbolic that Lila’s avatar is the one reading the criticism.
Again, Chat Noir seems to have vanished.
Napoléon.
All the past Ladybugs are here.
This Jeanne d'Arc design is very eye-catching, but she looks far too old here. Jeanne d’Arc died at 19, and she’s immortalised as a fourteen-year-old. This Jeanne looks middle-aged. Far too grisly.
“She’s afraid of her feelings and running away by inventing new ones for someone unavailable.” There you go, they acknowledge it in the show, twice.
Doom-scrolling. This is a criticism on social media.
“If you ride horses, you would know it’s a trap.” This suggests that Adrien rides horses.
Scene of Félix and Adrien playing polo in London, when?
Oh, that is terrifying. Reminds me of the nightmare 2D sequences from The Prince of Egypt.
There a scene in the second Origins episode in Season 1 where Adrien is asked who was the first president of the 5th French Republic, and Adrien answers “Everyone thinks it was de Gaulle, but it was actually René City before the first elections.” A repeat of that happens here, where Adrien, or Chat Noir, is asked a question and he answers it while disapproving the common myth. Reminds the audience that no matter how he acts, Adrien is smart.
A lot of Season 1 callbacks, from villains, action sequences, to little moments like these.
Pharaoh is held in constraints of his own powers. He doesn’t control the truth either, the Book of Ma’at does.
This is a pretty cool sequence. I don’t know it its true or not, but the animation style is pretty neat. Looks like a moving tapestry.
“Missed again! How did they do it?” By attending their history classes.
No matter what else changes in Future Paris, I’m glad they kept the Louvre.
Bunnyx cameo.
Whoa, the new Cataclysm music? It sounds neither triumphant nor villainous. Just - here and ready to blast.
Since when did powered-up Ladybug have extra hair ribbons?
Monarch knows clearly that he’s the villain, no matter how well-intentioned his motives are.
The fact that Ladybug is a good person and does good things is an ultimate truth.
At least Jalil is willing to admit to his mistakes.
Might this be the first time that Gabriel leaves his lair without a single word of taunt or swearing revenge. He approaches Nathalie’s bedroom, and simply apologies. That single statement packs quite a lot of heat and history behind it. Despite gaining so much ground, winning so many new advantages, Gabriel doesn't feel an inch closer to victory.
This is a sweet story, touching on France's history of contention with the English, the idea that love and understanding can overcome differences. The oil paintings used to illustrate the story is inspired. But I really hate it whenever any media tries to absorb some real-world figures or mystery into their lore. George Washington was actually a child of Athena, the Stonehenge was created to fight aliens, Jack the Ripper was actually a demon slain by our hands. The Hell they are. I cannot accept that Sun Wukong was a normal man using a Monkey Miraculous, or that Mulan used the Dragon Miraculous to win her wars. Jeanne d’Arc is the only past Ladybug Holder that is an actual person, I think, and it’s just very strange to claim that her power came from Miraculous jewels. Pushes the suspension of disbelief even further.
Adrien gets his own Kwagatama, finally.

writing my intro after two beers is a fantastic idea, there is absolutely zero possibility of me just falling into emotional, polemic rants about anti-scientific reactionaries and other transphobes being dickheads AND stupid

Sweet Almost Goodbye
Xiao x Fem!Reader
Tags: Angst to Fluff
Sumary: Xiao had no plans to ever have a family of his own. Finding out that you are pregnant with his baby set him on edge, unsure. He's not ready.
~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~
How are you suppose to tell him?
The news brought shock and surprise to you, it made you a bit excited and nervous.
What would Xiao think?
How will he take the news?
The thought of what his reaction may be formed a pit in your stomach. There you were, going up by the elevator of Wangshu Inn, as the sun was setting.
The closer you get to your destination, the uneasiness grew. What would happen if he lashes out? What would happen if he asked you to leave?
With a sigh, you walked up the stair that would lead to where your lover usually stays.
As you looked upon the view that the balcony provided, you saw that the sun was no longer visible, the stars starting to show up.
"You've arrived." Your heart swell at the voice of your lover, a smile forming on your face. Looking back at him, he eagerly walked up to you and greeted you with a gentle hug.
The first few weeks of your relationship was quite awkward, back then he could not even hold your hand without being as stiff as a board.
"Can I hug you?"
"I don't think that's necessary."
"But... I really want to."
"I am... not familiar with mortal rituals. I would not be the best for those kind of activities."
"Pfft... It's just a hug, Xiao. Plus you do these 'mortal rituals' with people you love. Now come here, silly Yaksha."
And surely enough, your first hug was not very comfortable, but it was a moment you would never forget.
Pulling away from the hug, you sighed heavily. Xiao did of course noticed the change in your attitude.
Where is that bubbly, cheerful, all smiles Y/N that he has grown to love?
Something must be off.
You looked down, how do you start off?
The silence filled the atmosphere with tension. Your hands started to shake.
"You seem like you're not yourself today." Xiao had broken the silence, something he usually doesn't do.
Looking up into his eyes, you grabbed both his hands in yours. "There's this very important thing that I need to tell you." Your grip on him tightened, hoping for him not to disappear.
His face showed confusion and somewhat worry, the look on your face told him that the matter was serious.
"You know how lovers would slowly grow? How they would be faced with many things and challenges in life together?" You started, not knowing exactly what to say. Through his confusion, he nodded.
"Well.... we may be going through one of those things." You whispered in a hushed tone. He didn't get it.
Was something wrong?
Has something happened that would affect your relationship?
"Xiao..." You silently called out his name.
"I'm... well..." You felt his hand squeeze yours, silently telling you to just say it.
"I'm pregnant."
He let go of your hands immediately, and your heart ached at his action.
Oh no...
He let out a chuckle. Slightly backing away, looking at you with an expression that had your eyes swelling with unshed tears.
"S-surely this has to be a joke." Xiao said in a quiet voice.
'What was that supposed to mean?' His words sent needles to your heart.
"We're gonna have a baby, Xiao." You said stepping closer to him, but he raised his hand, telling you to stop.
You held your hands to your chest, your heart pounding so fast. "It means that our love has blossomed."
"No." Xiao turned his back on you. "I didn't.... I didn't want this."
"X-xiao?" You stuttered, he surely didn't mean that right? He loves you, you loves him. Sure it wasn't expected, but you promised yourself to welcome your baby with open arms, teach them, show them the good in the world, love them with all your heart.
"I never wanted to start a family." He looked back at you, frustration in his eyes. "I thought that it would just be you and me. I didn't want a... a burden!" His words shocked you, a mix of emotion swirled inside you, pain, frustration, dissapointment.... anger.
How dare he say that about your baby?!
"Xiao, this is your child your talking about!" Tears started to fall from your eyes, staining your cheeks. "Why would you say that?!"
No, it doesn't matter how much you love him, he doesn't get to say those things about your baby. You believed that your baby is special, and you're not going to stand for the bastard you love to tell you that they are nothing but a burden.
"How could you?!" You stomped closer to him, your hands balled into a fist. "Here I thought that you are so amazing. That you're not the murderer that you claimed yourself to be."
You let put a sob.
"But no!"
You punched his chest.
"You don't deserve to be loved!"
Punch.
"You don't deserve to be happy!"
Punch
"You don't deserve a family that will love you."
You throw a weak puch at his chest, letting more of your tears fall as you sobbed.
He held you wrists pushing you back a bit to look up at him with your glossy eyes. What hurt even more is that he seemed unfazed, unaffected.
"I don't need you to tell me what I don't deserve. You're right, I don't deserve those things." He calmly said, letting go of your wrists. "And I... would feel at ease if you just leave." Before you could even respond, he vanished, leaving you to break down onto the floor, covering your mouth to silence your sobs.
He left you with tears and a broken heart.
2 Months Later
Your mother has been very helpful in taking care of you and your baby. Giving you tips and advice for a healthy pregnancy. You now stayed your parents' house in Qingce Village, a more quieter place than the Harbour.
You had told her of what happened between you and your 'previous lover' two months ago, crying into her arms as she saw you on your heartbroken state. Your father was not at all happy with Xiao's wrong doings towards you.
But you reassured your parents that it no longer matters, what matters now is your baby being well taken care of. And with that, you must take care of yourself as well. So no thinking about that Adeptus bastard.
In Wangshu Inn however, Xiao has felt that your departure has left a hole in his heart, everyday, every night alone on the balcony of the Inn, the place that you two once shared as a place to openly be together and express your love towards each other.
He would sometimes look at the guests of the Inn at the ground floor. He would see families spending time together, all smiles and happiness. Is that what it's like to have a family?
Sure, family comes with it's problems and such. But... it's family, people that will be your home and happiness.
Verr Goldet has noticed that you no longer go to the Inn and the Adeptus has grown more melancholic than usual. Something was definitely wrong between that two of you, she would think.
Xiao would look at the view provided by the balcony. He admits that he was looking for you from there, maybe you would come back to him. But he caught no sight of you.
Every time he would go out, he told himself that its to "scare off evil and cleanse the land", but he just used that as an excuse to look for you.
He found you, of course, since you aren't really hiding from him. But, even then, what would he say? Of course he should apologize, but how? He doesn't know any of that stuff.
But he has to make a decision....
"Alright, Y/N. Why don't you have a little rest while your father and I go to the village square?" You just nodded as they exit the house. Some alone time would be nice.
You were standing in front of a full body mirror in your room, shirt rolled up to show your baby bump. You were thinking about names for your baby just earlier. Even though it's gonna be a few months till they're ready, you just find naming them makes you smile.
"How about, if your a girl, I'll name you... Crystal? Or maybe Rose? Or Amethyst!" You laughed a little, seemingly having a conversation with your unborn baby. " But if your a boy... Hmmm...." You caressed your baby bump.
"I haven't thought about anything yet, but I'll tell you when I do, baby." You whispered with a smile.
Then, suddenly a green and black smoke appeared and revealed a person that made your smile drop.
"Y/N" Xiao quietly called out your name, looking at your eyes through the mirror. Sighing, you pulled down your shirt and turned back to face him.
He looked down at your stomach, his heart swelling at imagining that a baby is inside you, your and his baby is inside you.
"Didn't think I'd see you again." You let out a bitter laugh, making the man in front of you wince a little. "What are you doing here?" You asked with a rather harsh tone.
"I mean no harm." He started looking at you with a sense of nervousness within him, your unexpressive gaze made him feel crushed.
"I just want to apologize. And see how you and our baby are doing." He seemed to be hesitant in reaching out to hold you. But you, you were seething, did he just say 'our'?
He acted so childish, so cold and now he came back to apologize and immediately think that all will be fixed.
"Y/N..." You were pulled out of your thoughts by his call, you looked back at him with a glare. "I... love you. So so much." He stepped closer but this time, you raised your hand up and stopped him. "I wasn't ready, I was scared of what's gonna happen." Xiao added.
"I was scared too." Your eyes started to become glossy. "But I thought that you would be there." You looked up to him with your teary eyes, showing him your vulnerability once again. "I was wrong." You shook you head, his features softened and you notice the tears start to form in his eyes as well. "I shouldn't have expected too much. It's for the better we split up rather than stay in a relationship that will no longer contain love."
"If you're here for closure, Xiao. I can assure you that me and my baby will be just fine." You smiled despite the tear that managed to fall out of your eye.
He shook his head, quickly taking a hold of your hands and kneeling onto the floor. "Xiao, what are yo-"
"Please..." He brought your hands to his lips kissing them gently, you felt a few of his tears fall onto your hands. "Please forgive me. I'm truly sorry, my love." He was full on crying. You tried to take your hand back, but he didn't let you.
Still, the thought of you wanting to pull away from him made his heart ache. He didn't wanna let go of your hands. "I'm sorry about everything I said about our baby. I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I'm sorry." He kept repeating over and over. "I'm so stupid! I can just never treasure things that are important to me!" He felt frustrated of himself.
"Xiao, stop!" You demanded, pulling him back up to his feet. Once he looked at you, your heart clenched at the sight of his tear covered face, his hair messier than usual, his eyes held pain and regret.
"W-what exactly do you want?" You stuttered, rubbing your thumb along his knuckles. "D-do you want me to just forgive you... and then you'd walk away?"
He shook his head. "I-i want you." He whispered, coming closer, he hugged you, resting his chin on your shoulder.
"I want our baby." He pulled away, kissing you forehead.
"I want my happiness." Then his kissed your nose.
"I want my family, my everything." He then kissed your lips, the feeling of his soft lips on yours felt refreshing, something you didn't know you missed due to all the other emotions inside you. You both pulled away to catch your breath.
"Please, let me have my family."
"Oh, Xiao..." You caressed his cheek, feeling the wet tears that had fallen from his amber eyes. "We're here, we're your family." You both looked down at your baby bump, both of you smilling.
One Hour Later
As you and Xiao cuddled on the couch together and silently whispered sweet words to one another, the door opened, your parents walking in and were shocked to see the Adeptus and you snuggling.
"Aha! I see that you're the one who broke my babygirl's heart!" Your father exclaimed, much to your surprise.
"Xiao was it. Now I don't care if you two already made up. I'm still gonna talk to you about how to properly treat my baby." You laughed when Xiao let go of you and sat up straight.
You were surprised that he didn't pull the 'no respect for the Adepti' card.
"Papaaaaa." You whined as your father led Xiao into the kitchen to talk.
Your mother sat beside you and looked at your face. "I see that you two have been crying." She caressed your cheek.
"I'm just really happy right now."

Hey, bub. I'm so glad to hear that you've been enjoying my works. Here's your request for the part 4 and final (as of now) part of the rejecting and regretting you series. Have a good day and stay hydrated! ♥️
genre: angst to fluff
warnings: semi-rude behavior (resolved), no cursing in this one because these men drink their respect women juice daily
ft. ushijima wakatoshi, kita shinsuke
title says it all
Kita Shinsuke
Kita is your childhood friend
The moment the two of you were introduced to each other by your grandmothers, you instantly clicked
Same as through with him, you loved spending your time being productive and following a certain routine so it's no question that as you both grew up, you started gaining romantic feelings towards him
You've been thinking of confessing but never really had the chance because he was always busy with volleyball practice
So when you finally managed to get some alone time, you didn't hesitate to voice out your feelings, not knowing that the answer you're hoping for isn't the answer you're going to get
"You're staring again."
You snapped out of your thoughts when Kita stopped infront of you, his eyebrows furrowing as he studied your face.
"Are you alright?"
"Oh, uh, yes! I'm sorry. I was just thinking," you answered sheepishly while scratching the back of your head.
You mentally cursed yourself for spacing out on him. This is the only chance you're getting and you can't afford to waste it.
"About what?" Shinsuke asked as you both continued your walk on the way home since you only live apart each other. Plus, his grandma had always told him to never let you walk home alone especially at night.
"Huh?"
"You said you were thinking. About what?" Shinsuke gently tugged at the sleeve of your jacket, changing your positions so that he was closer to the road than you are.
You felt yourself blushing at the small gesture and looked at his hand that was still holding your jacket.
You swallowed the lump forming inside your throat and stopped walking, the act stopping Kita as well due to him holding you.
Kita looked at you worriedly and placed both hands on your shoulders, his head dipping slightly to get a closer look at your face. "Are you oka-"
"You," you answered without focusing your gaze to him. "I've been thinking about you."
When you felt him taking his hands off your shoulders, you immediately looked up. "Sorry, did I make you uncomfortable?"
The look he had is something you can't decipher but if you were to analyze it based on what you can see, it's a look you never wanted to see again.
Silence reigned the two of you, eyes staring at each other as if you're both trying to figure out what the other was thinking.
"No," Kita said, breaking the silence. "But it's best if we don't discuss the issue any further."
At that, he faced forward and continued walking as if nothing happened but as you stared at his back, you realized that somehow, he knew what you were trying to imply.
And the sad part is that he chose to ignore it and act unbothered as if he didn't just indirectly broke your heart.
Once you reached your destination, you faced him with an anxious smile and Kita didn't fail to notice this, as well as your habit of shifting from foot to foot whenever you wanted to say something.
"I like you, Shin," you blurted out nervously, your heart beating erratically and your palms becoming sweaty. "I don't know when it started but suddenly, I just woke up and realized that what I'm feeling towards you is no longer within the range of friendship. It's something more and I just wanted to let you know."
"I am well aware of that but I'm sorry, y/n. I can't return your feelings."
You bit your lower lip to hold in your tears and as much as you wanted to shout at him to accept your confession, you can't just force someone to love you back because it doesn’t work that way.
"Geez, can't you even say it gently?" you said with a forced chuckle. "Don't worry, I won't hold any grudges."
You let out a sigh before looking up at him and Kita was surprised to see that there are no traces of anger. He expected you to lash out but it seemed like he was wrong.
"I'll see you tomorrow then. Don't overwork yourself, okay?" With that, you stood on your tiptoes and pressed a kiss on his cheek before turning around to cross the road.
Kita could only stare at you as he watched you enter your household, your figure vanishing from his sight as the door finally closed.
Kita is a practical man.
He knows how to separate what is right from what is wrong.
Because of this, people often see him as someone who's perfect, sometimes even being compared to a robot due to his nature. But Kita is far from perfect, and he knew that.
Because as he laid in his bed that night, he realized that he just made a big, wrong decision, and he had nobody but himself to blame.
-
Kita didn't know if he should be happy or not. Actually, he should be happy. After all, he just rejected you and still, here you are, walking beside him as you made your way to school.
He kept glancing at you, observing wether you were pretending or not but he knew that it isn't in your nature to be a pretentious person. You've always worn your emotions on your sleeve which made it too easy for people to read you.
"Ah, Shin. You don't have to walk me home later," you said with a sheepish smile. "My friend is actually going to walk me home so.."
"Alright. Be sure to send me a message when you're on the way home." Despite how 'normal' it sounded, Kita was actually feeling something unpleasant inside him. It was a feeling he was well aware of but had never experienced himself.
The day progressed fast. One moment, he was entering his first class and the next, he's already checking wether all the sports equipment were put back in their proper places.
As he walked out of the gym, Kita instinctively brought out his phone to check for any messages, yours to be specific.
"Ya alright, Kita-san?" came Atsumu.
Kita simply nodded and glanced at his phone again before keeping it, disappointment filling him as he realized that you're not planning to message him at all.
Without you to walk home with, Kita decided to join his team mates, yet despite the noise his team naturally carried, Kita's mind was still preoccupied.
He thought of how you must be doing or if you arrived home safely. He thought of how different the things would've turned out if he hadn't rejected you.
He thought of you.
"Isn't that y/n-san?"
Kita's attention immediately went back to Earth, his eyes following the direction Atsumu was pointing at and just like he said, you were indeed at the other side of the road, walking alone while hugging yourself as you shivered ever so slightly.
Without any words, Kita headed towards your direction and his team mates knew better than to interfere. After all, they knew their captain well. It wasn't that hard to notice how off he was today.
"I thought I told you to message me."
You gasped as Kita suddenly appeared beside you, draping his jacket over your shoulder which immediately surrounded you with his familiar scent.
"Sorry, I forgot," you said while tugging at the end of his jacket sleeves.
"Mhm, and you also said that your friend is going to walk you home yet I don't see anyone beside you." Kita said with a serious tone.
"About that..." You scratched the back of your head as you tried to think of any excuses but you knew that lying would be pointless.
"What if someone kidnapped you? Or worse, took advantage of you? You know I don't like you walking alone especially when the sun had already set yet you still did it. Why did you lie?"
You felt like a child being scolded by your mother but instead of taking it the wrong way, you knew that Kita was only looking out for you. It was just ironic that he broke your heart yet still showed his deep concern for your being.
"It's because I didn't want to make you uncomfortable," you finally admitted. "I just confessed to you yesterday and I thought thay maybe I might make you uncomfortable if I kept sticking beside you. I didn't want to be an inconvenience."
"What are you talking about?" Kita stopped walking and turned towards you. "You were never an inconvenience and will never be one."
"Sorry, Shin."
"No. I should be the one to apologize. I made a very rash decision yesterday and ended up rejecting you. I thought that having romantic feelings towards someone would just be a waste of time but I came to realize that it isn't a waste of time if its with you," Kita said with a gentle look on his face.
You didn't speak for a few seconds and just let his words sink in, a feeling of hope igniting inside you when you realized what he was trying to say. "Do you mean that?" you asked hopefully.
"Have I ever lied to you?" Seeing you shake your head no, Kita leaned in to press his forehead against yours. "I like you, y/n."
You felt your heart beat picking up with those simple words and without waiting for anything else, you pressed your lips against his.
Ushijima Wakatoshi
Being the cousin of Tendou Satori had its perks
And one of those perks is the opportunity to see Ushijima everyday
You are only a year younger than them yet despite that, you get along with the team very well
After all, it had been a part of your daily routine to always visit the school's gym
What you didn't expect, however, was to fall for a certain captain
And you, being one of the most open and honest person, confessed the moment you realized your feelings towards him
And despite being turned down several times already, you still persisted, claiming that you'll do everything to make him fall for you
But sometimes, no matter how hard you try, it just isn't enough
"Where's 'Toshi?" you asked Satori when you entered the gym, flashing a small smile to the others before sitting down on an empty bench.
"Talking to the coach." Satori looked at the plastic you were holding and grinned as he noticed what was inside. "Really, y/n-chan? You know that won't work on Ushiwaka, right?"
You just shrugged and placed the item beside you. "It's worth a try, 'Tori. Who knows? Maybe I'll finally be able to get a reaction out of him."
"Y/n."
You looked behind you upon hearing Wakatoshi. "Hi, Toshi. Did you miss me?" you said and flashed him a bubbly smile.
"You always come here everyday. I do not see any reason for me to miss you," he simply answered before taking a seat beside you, eyes glancing at the carrot stuffed toy before focusing on the court.
Satori, who witnessed the whole exchange, just laughed at you, his eyes squinting as he clutched his stomach in tears. "Well, there's your reaction," he said while still catching his breath.
"You don't have to be so mean, Toshi." You pouted and handed him the stuffed toy you brought.
"What's this for?" he asked in slight confusion while examining the carrot you gave him.
"That's a gift. Haven't you noticed? Its been 8 months since I started courting you." You grinned at him.
"Oh? Y/n's courting captain?" came Tsutomu who was wiping his sweat with a clean towel, eyes glancing at the carrot before he exclaimed, "I want one too!"
"Have it." Your eyes widened when Ushijima handed the carrot stuffed toy to Tsutomu. "I don't need it, and please stop giving me stuff from now on. They are irrelevant."
"I worked hard for that! You don't know how much token I spent just to get that from the claw machine!" You frowned at Wakatoshi and took the toy from Tsutomu who's now obviously confused with what's happening.
"Then I'll pay the amount you spent. Just stop giving me random stuff from now on. I don't need them and I don't have any feelings for you," Ushijima said with a passive voice.
You bowed your head and Satori immediately panicked, his arm reaching out to you but you only recoiled. "You're the worst, Toshi!" you yelled at Ushijima before dropping the toy on the floor and running out of the gym.
All three of them were in shock at your outburst, completely not expecting you to say such thing. You've always been bubbly around them so hearing those words from you was something they never expected coming.
"I think you made y/n mad, Captain," Tsutomu said while picking the carrot and dusting it off.
"But all I did was say the truth," Ushijima reasoned out, eyes focused on Tsutomu who was now hugging the toy that was supposed to be his.
Satori just sighed and turned around to go back practicing.
"Captain?" Tsutomu muttered with a confused look as Ushijima suddenly took the carrot from him.
"It's mine."
-
For the sixth time of the day, Ushijima glanced at the closed door of the gym.
It had been almost a week and he haven't caught a single glimpse of you. No visits, no 'coincidentally' bumping on each other despite having different floor levels, nor surprised bentos. Nothing. It basically felt as if you don't exist anymore.
He doesn't even know why he seemed bothered with it. Wasn't it him who pushed you away? He should feel relieved now that you were no longer bothering him, right?
Then why did it felt like he was missing you?
"Y/n's not coming," Tendou said beside Ushijima.
"I know. They haven't been visiting lately." Ushijima stared at Tendou seriously, making the red hair chuckle before raising his hands up in surrender.
"I don't have any idea where y/n-chan is. Even if I do, my lips are sealed," Tendou said before making a zipper motion.
Ushijima sighed and looked down at the ball resting between his feet. "I don't like it when they're avoiding me."
"Hm, I can't blame my cousin for doing that though. They've been pining over you for quite a while now and each time they confess, you end up rejecting them. I guess yesterday was their breaking point," Satori explained with a shrug, "Maybe you got used to the feeling of them coming back everytime you reject them that you don't know how to feel now that they stopped chasing you."
"I..like y/n."
Just as he said those words, the gym doors suddenly opened. You entered with your usual bubbly expression, a wrapped bento in hand as you made your way to them.
"I noticed that you weren't carrying your bento awhile ago so I brought it with me," you said as you handed the bento to Satori, not even bothering to spare a glance at Ushijima who was intensely looking at you.
"Y/n," Ushijima said making you turn to him.
"Yes Ushijima-san?"
Ushijima blinked at the mention of his surname. He knew that it was normal for people to call him Ushijima since it was his name but hearing you say it seemed bothering for some reason. He was used to you calling him either Toshi or Waka-kun.
"I like you, y/n," he said without hesitation.
Satori facepalmed at Ushijima's straightforwardness. Deciding to give you both some space, he stood up and walked away with his bento, leaving the two of you to talk.
You sat down and crossed your arms over chest, body facing Wakatoshi as you waited for him to explain and apologize properly.
"I'm sorry for how I acted a few days ago, I was merely being honest that time, but now I realized that I like you too... and I also did not mean to disregard your efforts just to get Mr. Carrot," Ushijima said while slightly scooting closer to you, his hand obviously trying to reach for yours.
"You named the stuff toy Mr. Carrot?" you asked with a raise of an eyebrow. "I thought you didn't need it.."
"That was a mistake. Mr. Carrot is actually sleeping in my bed as of this moment." The side of Ushijima's lips curled up when you giggled, the sound making his heart race.
"I appreciate you trying to be nice to me, Toshi, but you really hurt me back then, you know? I even had to stay away for a couple of days," you said before looking down at your lap to play with your fingers.
Panic started bubbling up inside Ushijima at your sudden silence. Swallowing the lump inside his throat, he asked you carefully, "Do you still like me? I'm really sorry, y/n. I missed your presence inside the gym. It's not the same without you. It's been too... quiet. Please give me another chance."
You lifted your head upon hearing that, clearly not expecting Ushijima to say those words in almost a pleading manner.
Ushijima took your surprised reaction as a cue to continue. He carefully took your hand in his, his hand completely engulfing yours as he intertwined your fingers. "I won't be aggressive towards you anymore. I know you said you hate me and I'm not the best at this kind of things but for you, I'll try."
You pulled your hand away from him, only to quickly wrap your arms around him, the action obviously catching Ushijima off guard. "I never hated you, 'Toshi," you mumbled with your face buried to his chest.
"Does that mean you still like me?" He said as soon as he composed himself, an unusual soft expression forming on his face when he felt you nodding.
You felt yourself melting even more to his touch when he secured an arm around your waist. "I like you so much, 'Toshi," you said as you looked up him.
"I like you too, y/n." With that, Ushijima leaned down to press a lingering kiss on your forehead.

HOLY SHIT RIVALRY WAS SOOOO F@&KIMG GOOD OH MY 😮💨😮💨 I was wondering you would be open to doing a jealous draco smut with breeding kink? Maybe you’re wearing a short sundress that’s riding up and getting looks from the guys and he pulls you aside 🥵
very glad to hear you enjoyed rivalry! read this request and wrote it in like two hours. here you go, anon, hope you like it too ;)
Contains: Breeding kink, jealousy, possessiveness (like... kind of a lot of that), large amounts of dirty talk, themes of exhibitionism (only mentioned)
Word count: 1.6K
-----
Of course you didn't purposely choose the smallest sundress you owned to wear that day. It was the only sundress you packed to bring to Malfoy Manor for the summer. You'd never intentionally wound up Draco—you aren't a brat or anything... on most days.
But maybe. Just maybe. You enjoyed seeing how his eyes had widened when you'd revealed your outfit. Maybe you liked how his eyes were constantly on you, your exposed skin, the deeper-than-necessary neckline. Your thighs.
And, alright, maybe this sundress was less a dress than a gratuitously long shirt.
But still. You never meant to get him so bothered.
You're also decidedly not complaining.
The day is truly hot and bright in the "backyard" of Malfoy Manor, the sun heating up your skin so much you're coated in a light sheen of sweat, despite your lack of clothing. You, Draco, and a couple other friends are about a three-minute walk away from the Manor, lounging by the beach.
You weren't even aware the Malfoy Manor was near a beach, but the more you know.
The other boys have unbuttoned their shirts in the heat, currently in various stages of modest undress—Blaise Zabini has his shirt fully off, while Theo Nott's is unbuttoned but stayed, reluctantly, on his body. It's soaked, though—you don't count on it staying on for much longer.
Draco, on the other hand, has his shirt fully buttoned, and his black outfit cuts a stark, imposing figure in the bright day. His gaze lingers on you as you stretch in the sun, the sundress riding up with your movements until they barely reach mid-thigh.
He hasn't said much since you emerged from your room in that dress, but he looks as though he's about to say something now.
"Hey!" Theo calls your name and you turn, the Slytherin boy tossing you a chilled glass bottle filled with lemonade. "I brought some along. You look parched."
"I am," you say gratefully, taking the lemonade and uncorking it. It's delightfully cold, and the lemonade tastes heavenly, sweet and sour perfectly balanced. "Bloody hell, Theo, what'd you put in these?"
"It's so bloody good, isn't it," Blaise says, chugging his own bottle before giving a satisfied sigh. "I'm telling you: Drugs."
"A dash of magic," Theo replies to you, grinning. You laugh. Beside you, Draco tenses.
"C'mon, Draco, try some," you urge him, holding the glass bottle out. "It's so good."
"I'm good, thanks," Draco declines, and you shrug.
"More for me, then." You tip the lemonade back, exposing your neck and collarbones as you lift your head, and you finish the whole small bottle in a few large gulps. Your throat bobs as you swallow, and you feel Draco's unrelenting stare on you.
Lowering the empty bottle, you feel a rush of euphoria as the sugar hits your system. Combined with the relief from the pressing heat, you can't help but let out a groan of pleasure.
Draco stiffens next to you, but you only turn to offer Theo a large pleading smile. "Tell me you brought more."
Theo looks like he's been caught in headlights, and takes a moment to unfreeze before he can register the sentence. His gaze trails down your body playfully, lingering at your neckline, how you're breathing harder than usual from drinking. "I might've. What's in it for me, doll?"
"Huh?" You blink in confusion.
"I could be persuaded to give you more," Theo says suggestively, winking, and then Draco is grabbing your arm and Apparating away from the beachside.
"Going to grab sunscreen!" is the only explanation he yells at his friends before the two of you vanish.
The two of you appear in Draco's room, you stumbling with the force of the arrival.
"Draco, what—"
"Don't," he warns, and kisses you without warning. The force of it takes you by surprise, and you fall backwards onto his bed, bringing him with you.
Draco nips at your bottom lip and trails down your neck, biting into the delicate skin there. You yelp, then moan, and your fingers clutch desperately at his shirt.
"Gonna hex him," Draco mutters, before sucking another hickey into the skin around your collarbone. You whimper from the feeling.
"What—what do you mean—Theo?"
"No, bloody Hagrid," he drawls, and pushes you into his mattress. He pins you down, and there's a light in his eyes that's almost—possessive. "Yes, Theo."
"Why?" And then you realize. "Oh—no, Draco, he was just joking."
"I don't bloody care." The blond tugs at your sundress, almost too harshly. "He wanted you. I could tell. Blaise did too. I can't blame them, with you looking like this. Bet they wanted to rip this dress off your pretty body and fuck you in the sand."
"I—"
"I'm still wondering what to do with it," Draco continues, cutting you off. "Should I let you keep it on while I fuck you? So we can get it all dirtied and wrinkled, for when we return to the beach?"
Your face flushes at the idea of Theo and Blaise seeing you in freshly-fucked apparel, dress all uneven and stained with sweat and Merlin knows what else. They'd know—oh, they'd know, alright.
"Or," Draco muses, his voice darkening, "should I tear it off of you? You could wear one of my shirts back. Just the shirt, though."
"Draco," you whine, clamping your thighs together to get some friction. He's talking too much, not touching you enough, and you grind upwards into his leg to try and get his attention.
"Slow down now, or I'll tear this dress off you and not let you dress properly before I Apparate us back," Draco warns, and you still your motions. "There we go. Good girl."
He seems to be impatient as well, though, as he shrugs off his shirt hurriedly and kicks off his trousers. "I think I'll fuck you with the dress on. Let it be a reminder, hm?"
"Yes, please, just—" And then he's pushing your sundress up roughly, exposing much of your abdomen and a sliver of your bra, and tugging your panties to the side roughly. He doesn't even have the patience to take them off.
"Gonna show them you're mine," Draco growls, sinking two fingers in at once deep into your cunt, and you let out a loud, surprised moan. "Good thing no one's home, love. I'm going to make you scream."
He thrusts in and out, fucking you roughly with his fingers, until he's deemed you loose enough to curl his fingers in. They brush against the spot that makes you see stars and you moan his name loudly, the end of the moan tapering off into a desperate whine.
"Draco, fuck, fuck me," you babble, and he seems to agree, kicking his boxers off and giving his cock a few rough tugs with his free hand before drawing out his fingers.
You don't even have time to process the loss before Draco's pressing in, your cunt tight and wet around him. He groans out a stifled curse, bottoming out and bumping against your cervix, and you whimper from the stretch.
"After I'm done with you, love, no one will touch you," he murmurs, and then he starts to move. He fucks into you slowly at first, keeping a steady rhythm, and then he's pounding into you with a vengeance, hitting your sweet spot with every few thrusts. "They'll know you're mine. Mine to love and fuck and keep."
"Yours," you repeat, although he could've said anything in that moment and you would've agreed wholeheartedly.
"I'm gonna fill you up, love," Draco pants, his rhythm unrelenting. He has a hand on your bared abdomen, and he grips you so tight you think you might bruise. "Gonna fill you up with my cum 'till you're dripping, gonna fucking breed you so you'll always be mine—"
You clench involuntarily around him at his words, a fresh wave of arousal making you drip around his cock. "Oh, bloody hell—Draco!"
"Yeah? You like the sound of that?" You can hear the smirk in his voice as he fucks you fast and rough. "Good."
"Please," you whisper, "please, fuck, come in me, fill me up, make me yours—"
"Mine," Draco echoes, and one of his hands reaches to your clit, circling it playfully, flicking it occasionally so you lurch and clench around him in pleasure. "I'll fuck you over and over until we get there, love, don't think I won't—gonna make you carry my heirs, then you'll wholly be mine."
"Fuck, Draco!" you moan as you come, and Draco groans lowly when you clench and tighten around him in your orgasm. "Oh, fuck, yes, please, make me all yours, pump me full and claim me—"
With a strangled moan, Draco comes inside of you, and you feel him filling you up as he'd promised—painting your insides with his release and pulling out after he's emptied himself. He admires his work: You, well-fucked and blissed out, the sundress rumpled and soaked in sweat.
"Good girl," he praises, Summoning a washcloth from his bathroom and pressing the cold, soothing fabric to your face. "You did so good."
"'m yours," you murmur, smiling delightedly at him. "Aren't I?"
"Yes, love." Draco's eyes gleam with a sudden idea, and instead of leaning over to clean your oversensitive, dripping cunt, he tugs your panties back into place. Your brows furrow in confusion.
"So we can make sure you're truly filled up, hm?" He tilts his head, as if to ask if it's alright with you, and you nod, heat pooling in your abdomen at the idea of walking around all day with Draco's release still inside of you, dripping into your panties, maybe even soaking through them.
A thought occurs to you. "But—they might see!"
Draco smirks at you lazily, raising an eyebrow.
"So?"

For the final day of @themiserablesmonth and the prompt “Dawn” here’s another story! Enjoltaire as always, can be read as canon or modern era, minor warning for implied smut (because I don’t know how to write real smut.)
The Next Morning
Light streamed through the window as the sun rose.
Grantaire was used to waking up in the café. Usually it was because he had drunk too much and passed out on one of the tables. Even at a quick glance, his surroundings were familiar. He was used to waking up here.
What he wasn’t used to was the arms of a still-asleep Enjolras tightly clasped around him.
…It hadn’t been a dream, then. They’d really -
They really had -
Grantaire tried not to think about it. He tried not to wonder why Enjolras would ever have willingly done this with him. Instead, he focused on how to get out of this position before Enjolras woke up. He was sure it was just a one-time thing, and he didn’t need to wait around to be told that. Besides, he doubted that Enjolras would be happy to see him. It would be best for both of them if he just left.
He could come back to the next meeting as if nothing had happened, sit in his usual corner, drink away his feelings as always, and Enjolras could go back to ignoring him. Everything would be fine.
Grantaire struggled slightly, trying to release or at least loosen Enjolras’s grip without waking him up. He was very careful not to make any noise, not to move too suddenly. After some time, probably a few seconds, that felt like hours, he was free. At least both of them had dressed again before falling asleep, that saved some time now as Grantaire made his way towards the door.
“Grantaire?”
He froze, turned around. Enjolras had sat up on the sofa they had both slept on - and not just slept - and was looking at him.
“You’re leaving?” he asked, something unfamiliar in his eyes.
“It’s fine. We don’t have to talk about it.” Grantaire tried to sound calm. “I’ll just come back for the next meeting, everything can go back to normal. It never happened.”
He had tried to say what he thought Enjolras wanted, but seemed to have failed in that. “Is that what you want?” he asked. He sounded… sad? “Forgive me, I thought…” he broke off.
“What?”
“It isn’t important.”
“If it’s important to you, it’s important.”
Enjolras sighed. “Well, I… I thought last night meant something to you…”
“It did. It meant more than I can say.” Grantaire said honestly. “But I don’t delude myself into thinking it meant anything to you.”
“What is that supposed to mean?”
“It means… just look at yourself! You could have anyone you wanted! You would never choose someone like me…”
“What makes you so sure you know what I want?”
“I don’t know what you want.” Grantaire admitted. “But I know, whatever it is, it can never be me.”
After a while, Enjolras said, “You really are infuriating sometimes, Grantaire…”
“You see?”
“No. Listen to me. It’s infuriating how you doubt absolutely everything good! Someone you’ve claimed to love shows signs of feeling the same about you, and your conclusion is that it can’t be true, or it was only for a night, or whatever it is you think is happening here!”
Grantaire stood in shock. “But you don’t - I mean you couldn’t - ”
“You’re doing it again. Just think for a moment! Do you think I’d lie? You say I could be with anyone, so what do you think I’d have to gain from lying to you about how I feel?”
Grantaire tried to come up with a sarcastic response, but all his usual wit vanished under Enjolras’s gaze. “…Not much. But… why?”
“I love you. I should have realised sooner. I was always annoyed at you for being such a distraction, until I stopped to think about why exactly I was distracted…”
Dawn was well on the horizon by now, and its light flattered Enjolras. (But then, what didn’t?) Grantaire had never seen him at this time of day before, bathed in the golden rays of the early sun.
“You’re blushing again, Grantaire…” Enjolras said, and Grantaire instinctively turned away, hiding his face. “Hey, don’t try and hide it from me. I like you, remember?”
Grantaire turned to face Enjolras again, and realised how much closer to him Enjolras was standing as he gently took hold of Grantaire, just as he had done before, and whispered “We still have some time before the café opens…”

41. “Dance with me.”
59. “I’m still sore from last night.”

Yoongi loved mornings.
Yoongi loved mornings more, now that the two of you had finally moved in together after years of dancing around the subject. He loved waking up next to you, with your face buried into the side of his body and your tiny snores escaping your dry chapped lips, echoing against the eggshell walls of the room. He loved the way the thin rays of the morning sun peek through the slits of the blackout curtains. The light dancing against your body, illuminating all his favorite features. Which was all of you. He loved the way you would stir, and he would race against time to shut his eyes before you could catch him starring at you.
You always did.
You will never let him know that you knew he always woke up first to love you silently without you or anyone in the world there to interrupt him. It was his most valuable and cherished secret, the only one he kept from you. So, you vowed to take the fact that you knew about it to the grave.
Today though, you had beat him at his own game. You had woken up first, silently watching as his breath was calm and concentrated. The minuscule stress lines that had appeared throughout his face over the years of overwork, nowhere to be seen. He looked peaceful, younger; like he didn’t carry the entire weight of the world on his shoulders.
Despite cherishing his sleep more than anything in the world, you understood now, why he always woke up first. He looked so beautiful, so raw, so intimate, so vulnerable, like a work of art. And you could hope that he felt the same way.
You found yourself never wanting to take your eyes away from his sleeping form, afraid you would miscount the intervals between his inhales and his exhales. Afraid you would miss the way his lips parted in inaudible snores or the way he would pout whenever he moved. Yet, the clock on his bedside table thought otherwise.
8:30am
Last night, you had made a promise to yourself before falling asleep, that you would wake up early to make him breakfast. It was his day off, the office didn’t need their big bad CEO that never once seemed to crack a smile, even if he was impressed or excited. You never understood why he kept such a fake front for his employees when they knew that he was the biggest softy on the planet, especially when it came to his loved ones. He would turn heaven and hell over if it meant he could protect everyone he loved. He would even sacrifice himself to ensure that nothing ever happened to his friends, family, and you. But you supposed that his fleeting image was all part of his job, so you let him be.
You took one last look at your sleeping boyfriend, biting your lower lip, contemplating on whether you should just stay in bed until he woke up. Or get up to prepare him a whole breakfast feast just like he deserved. You almost picked the first option until your stomach grumbled lowly, indicating that the second option was the better option, unfortunately. So, you got up silently, and carefully, afraid that any wrong move would wake him up and ruin your surprise.
The air in your lungs got caught in the back of your throat as you saw him stir slightly. Sleepy incoherent mumbles fell out of his lips. You froze in fear, your robe midway on, watching as he tugged the sheets up to his chin and sunk further into the bed. When you realized he wasn’t getting up anytime soon you finished putting on your robe and quickly made your way into the kitchen.
“You know it’s my day off right?” Yoongi mumbled as he walked into the kitchen, sweatpants low on his hips, his messy hair sticking up in all different directions. A slight blush appeared on your cheeks when you remembered how your fingers had been tangled up in it, as you screamed out his name like a mantra, while he made love to you until the late morning hours.
“And you don’t have to be at work for another three hours.” He wrapped his arms around your waist and gave your temple a sweet kiss, “good morning honey, how’d you sleep?” He rested his head against your shoulder, clinging onto you like he was afraid you would vanish.
“I slept like a baby.” You smiled cutting the last stem of the strawberry you had diligently been working on before he walked in. “Morning to you too sleepy head.” You turned your face, leaving a delicate kiss against his bed head. Yoongi smiled, he loved waking up next to you, admiring you silently as you slept. But he also loved being wrapped up in your warmth as you went around doing your daily morning routine. You always complained about how he never let you get things done. That the extra weight clinging onto you like a koala was only slowing you down. He knew you secretly loved it and would not be able to go about your day peacefully if he just stopped.
In fact, he had tested it out once after the two of you had gotten into a petty fight. You had called him that day at lunch time in tears, claiming that everything had gone wrong because he had ignored you all morning. Truth be told he had felt the same way. That was the day he truly realized that he could never live without you.
“I was hoping you would wake up after I finished making breakfast.” You pouted putting your knife down and gathering all the strawberries you had tentatively cut up putting them into a bowl.
“And I was hoping we could spend the entire morning in bed, but we can’t always get what we want in life can we?” He mumbled against your clothed shoulder. His fingers cheekily playing with the knot of your robe.
You turned in his arms, “all morning? Doing what?” Your arms made their way around his neck pulling him closer.
Yoongi smirked, his fingers itching to untie your robe praying you weren’t wearing anything underneath. “I have a few ideas, some good, some bad. But I mostly just wanted to keep sleeping with you in my arms.” He shrugged, running his tongue along his bottom lip, wetting it before closing the distance and planting a soft, intimate kiss against your lips.
It was savory, enough to keep you on your toes, wanting for more when he pulled away. “Good because I’m still sore from last night.” You said pointedly. Yoongi threw his head back laughing, his chest swelling up with pride as he remembered how you didn’t want to stop after three rounds. Even begging him, getting down on your knees for him in the shower. The two of you still hadn’t christened your newly shared apartment but he was positive that last night would’ve been the night if you hadn’t fallen asleep.
“That’s on you my little minx, you didn’t want to stop, I just fulfilled your desires.” He winked, kissing your cheek and moved aside, an arm still around your waist as he reached over for the Bluetooth speaker he kept in the kitchen.
“Hey!” You scoffed, hitting his chest lightly, “this isn’t completely on me, you came home and didn’t even let me greet you properly before you were carrying me off to our room.”
“Honestly babe, I don’t know what you’re talking about.” He smirked as he scrolled through his phone. His eyebrows furrowed in concentration as he looked through his music selection.
“We’re going to have to work on that memory of yours. It's starting to worry me.” You said in fake concern and circled your arms around his waist pulling him close, “I can help.” You whispered before planting a small kiss on the blooming flowers you had left on his chest last night. You could never get enough of him.
“Mhm, I’ll take you up on your offer later.” He set his phone down on the kitchen counter, the soft melody of an unfamiliar song sounding through his Bluetooth speaker. “Right now, dance with me?” He tilted his head to the side. He didn’t give you enough time to answer when he was already leading you to the middle of the kitchen, his arms finding their perspective place around your waist as he started swaying the two of you in place.
You wrapped your arms around his neck, giving his nose a tiny peck, earning a boyish smile from Yoongi. “What is this?”
“A song Namjoon and I are working on...for our wedding.” The afterthought falling out his lips before he had time to stop it. It wasn’t until he felt your body go rigid in his arms that he realized what he had said. “Um, forget I said that.”
“We just moved in together and you’re already planning our wedding playlist, I didn’t think you would be the type. What’s next you’re going to show me the Pinterest board you created?” You joked ignoring the way your heart was racing, hoping he couldn’t feel it through the thinness of your silk robe.
He groaned, annoyed. So what? Maybe he did have a Pinterest board with ideas for your wedding. He had been adding pictures to it since he met you five years ago at Junkook’s grand opening for his art gallery. The second he spotted you laughing along with his best friend, hard enough for champagne to come out of your nose. The ice around his heart melted and he knew he would be spending the rest of his life with you. He’s been writing songs about it ever since.
“Maybe another time, we have enough time for that, right now we have two hours before you have to go to work and I plan on milking every second of it.”

kirishima had broken the skin on his lower lip with how hard he was biting it. he stood in the bathroom, rinsing his mouth, ignoring the slight sting the water brought.
y/n was currently being blasted by bakugou, and they were fighting back.
jealousy panged in his chest.
bakugou had never let him know about how he felt about you, however kirishima was sure he felt something for them. you and bakugou were both a jumble of prideful and longing stares towards each other from across every room. the tension was thick enough to slice through. and while kirishima would never make a move in fear of ruining the friendship between him and bakugou, as well as him and y/n, gosh it didn’t stop him from wanting to.
he’d stood on the side, cheering you on to no end. the sports festival last year, the year before that, training exercises, he was always there. kirishima was always there.
whenever you needed him, whenever you wanted his company. so what did bakugou have over him? sure, the blond was strong and had bigger goals than kirishima, but why should that matter?
what did bakugou have? why would you want him more when he was never near you? never made an effort to see you to be there when you asked for help.
it was popular belief that bakugou was a noisy idiot, but he was actually quite a quiet boy. he didn’t bother to raise his hand in class, however he always knew the answer. he spoke rarely and only made conversation with those he was close with if they were the ones to make the effort to converse with him first.
jealousy, jealousy, jealousy. kirishima despised it.
whenever did he begin wanting to beat bakugou at something?
the cloud of guilt welling up in his chest was going to become unbearable, and soon everything he ever wanted to say was going to come up like word vomit at the worst possible time.
-
you swiped at your cheek, brushing off the crumbling dirt. your timing had been off, and their flip backwards had landed you in an awkward position. a vulnerable one.
honestly, though, it wasn’t like it really mattered. bakugou was a bit transparent himself. he wore a smug look like a golden medal, and held back his power just enough to keep you on your feet.
his cocky attitude was irritating and it drew you in like a moth drawn to a lamp.
sweat was beading down your temple. the day was exceptionally hot, the sun beaming down on your back like a proud child.
you and bakugou had been at it for a while. with anyone else, you would have quit by now. it’s not that you gave up easily. no, not ever. but fights could get boring, especially if you were just smashing away at them with your quirk and they were acting like they could take it.
perhaps you were being cocky.
this fight, though. this was interesting. not only because it was bakugou; also because you knew so little about him.
it was likely he never shared anything important to anyone. he was quite introverted.
it was interesting for another reason.
it was hot, bakugou sweats a lot. gosh, he looked delicious without a shirt on. he had a built figure accompanied by strong arms and a broad chest.
he’d filled out quite nicely the past few years. you hadn’t noticed until now how much he’d grown.
“don’t get distracted.”
your eyes snapped up from his chest to his eyes. bakugou became a blur, shooting himself off the ground and flipping once in the air before propelling himself back down.
before you could do anything, bakugou had you pinned, one leg pinning yours, both his hands wrapped around your wrists. he’d ditched his gauntlets, leaving the metal assistants in the sweltering heat, claiming he wanted to give you an equal fight.
he panted atop you, hands tightening.
tokage didn’t bother to leave her dorm today, thank goodness. it had just been the three of you. you, bakugou, and kirishima.
the red head had suspiciously vanished halfway through the fight, though.
bakugou’s crimson eyes bored into yours. neither of you blinked for a moment. perhaps just a small eternity each of you silently reveled in.
his erratic breaths slowed, and so did yours, although you stayed the same. unmoving, faces neutral but eyes giving away long-held secrets.
your ears flushed, and butterflies came rising up uncontrollably. you should have pushed him off. instead you gave him a wicked grin, which earned a look from him and you couldn’t tell if he was confused or annoyed.
“your big ass forehead is blocking the bright-as-hell sun. stay like this,” you mocked, wrenching your wrists from his grasp and snaking your arms around his neck.
his cheeks burned red. “w-what?”
“you heard me.”
he scoffed, tugging you off his neck and standing. “shut up, shitface. we aren’t even done yet.” he readied himself in a fighting stance once more.
“i thought you said you wanted to stop when you won?” you brushed yourself off as you stood.
“i know what i said. you probably weren’t even giving it your all.”
“’course i was.” you cocked your head. “why wouldn’t i?”
“you’re strong, damn idiot.”
you feigned surprise, pressed a hand to your fluttering chest. “the bakugou, dynamight himself, complimenting a humble soul like me? oh, i really must be good, then.”
“not as good as me.” his face dropped from a smile. bakugou never got enough training no matter how early or late he stayed up, or how many hours on the weekends were spent kicking a bag or sparring with friends. hard workers did all of the work there was a still wondered if they were doing enough. the number one spot wasn’t empty, but it was still reserved for dynamight.
-
y/n had collapsed on their bed. kirishima was itching to tell them how he felt, however he was stuck at the doorway.
they weren’t even dressed for bed, nor were they showered.
he settled with leaving his friend alone, and shut the door softly to find bakugou standing right behind him.
kirishima jumped back, closing his eyes in relief. “bakugou. what the heck man?”
“you’re creepy as shit.”
“i- what? you were the one staring at me while i-”
“while you peeped in on y/n?”
“i wasn’t peeping. i walked them back after the fight and they just collapsed. you were off doing something else and you worked them too hard.”
it wasn’t a shock that bakugou was still riled up from the duel. this boy had the energy of a mad man.
when bakugou didn’t say anything, kirishima said once again, “you overworked them.”
bakugou swat away the comment. “only because they’re not working hard enough.”
kirishima raised an eyebrow. “they work hard. they’re perfectly fine.”
“fine?”
“they’re amazing.”
“i know that, shitty hair. you think i’m blind?”
“everyone can make improvements at their own pace.” kirishima’s voice dropped.
“you train with me.”
“it’s an hour before curfew.”
bakugou jut a thumb in the direction of the door. “so? maybe you need some more practice, too,” he joked.
“you’re an ass, bakugou,” kirishima released a breathy chuckle.
the two wandered off to one of the training grounds. it was open, a wide court where they’d both kicked someone else’s ass.
the sun was just setting, a new cool breeze coming to fill the spot of the violent sun rays.
it was routine to fight each other out of nowhere. kirishima was usually quite playful, spewing jokes once in a while and taunting his friend.
this fight was different. his face was stone-cold. kirishima often took the defensive role, as his quirk didn’t allow him to project any direct attacks to bakugou.
it wasn’t like kirishima was angry at bakugou, but as soon as they started charging towards one another, he couldn’t hold back. his chest tightened, arms hardening and joints becoming strong and stiff.
with one clean sweep of his arm, bakugou was backing away from kirishima, propelling himself to the edge of the arena with a small blast. he’d always been up for a challenge. kirishima was willing to give him one.
his sudden competitive demeanor seemed to be egging on bakugou’s. the blond tongued the inside of his cheek, grunting as he shot forth, hair flying wildly.
swiftly, kirishima dodged, just barely missing a blast. his torso wasn’t hardened, so if he’d dodged any later, his stomach would have been scorched.
bakugou always took their fights seriously. he knew better than to underestimate the boy who had put together his very own rescue mission.
kirishima’s opponent stumbled from the momentum. he took his chance and brought a hardened elbow down on bakugou’s back, hearing a satisfying crack.
bakugou was crushed to the ground with the hit. his face smashed into the sandy ground. he coughed, turning over and spitting dirt to the side.
it took a moment for him to register what he did, but kirishima was at bakugou’s side within seconds. the sun was nearly gone, a pale blue sky flickering with the first sights of stars.
it was hard to make it out at first, but not impossible. kirishima saw the blood dripping and smeared just above bakugou’s lip. he groaned, cupping his face in both hands as he sat upright.
“argh” bakugou gasped. “shit, kirishima. what the hell?”
“i...i’m sorry dude, i didn’t mean to.” i wanted to, but i didn’t mean to.
bakugou raised an eyebrow and let a smile seep through his pain. “you’re improving, though.”
“are you alright?” kirishima traced the small cut on his lip from earlier with the tip of his tongue.
“i’m fine, i’m fine.” bakugou swatted his hand away. he struggled to get up, refusing kirishima’s help.
“we should head back before this gets any worse.”
bakugou kept his large hands hovering under his chin to catch the dripping and occasional chunks of blood.
although he wanted the duel to continue (it was finally interesting) bakugou wasn’t stubborn enough to keep going. so he nodded, once again denying kirishima’s efforts to help him out.
-
you were in the common area, fiddling with a rubik’s cube. it was just you, as everyone else was spending the night among each other. ashido had invited you to her dorm a while ago, but you’d denied, wanting to spend a few more giddy moments to yourself.
the door rattled, and in came your two friends, one with furrowed brows and the other with blood drenching the front of his shirt.
bakugou’s head was tilted up in an attempt to stop the blood from flowing down. his adam’s apple bobbed as he swallowed the blood trailing down the back of his throat.
“oh my gosh,” you gasped out, racing to the bathroom. you came back with sanitary wipes in one hand and tissue in the other. “what happened?”
“we were training,” kirishima started, taking a few tissues from the box and handing them to his friend, “and i accidentally hit him too hard.”
“you didn’t hit me that hard. you barely did any damage!” bakugou objected. you approached him, and through his fingers, bakugou peered down at you.
you asked him with your eyes, and he gave you silent permission to pry his arms away from his face. “are you okay?”
“i’m just dandy,” he scoffed.
“dude, i’m really sorry—”
“shut the hell up kirishima. i don’t want your pity. i swear this is the only time i’ll surrender to you, you asswipe.”
you didn’t laugh, not even a chuckle. “bakugou, you need to see recovery girl.”
“what the hell? no way. all she’s gonna do is give me one of those shitty slobbery kisses and scold me for being careless.”
“your nose is broken,” you said gently.
“so? can’t you fix it?”
you raised a questioning brow. “you want me to help you?”
“can you or can you not?”
“i can try to set it but you’re better off going to recovery girl instead of settling with―”
“all i need is possible. i don’t want to deal with that old lady’s shit right now.” using the tissues kirishima had stuffed into his hand, he caught the remaining blood dripping down his nose. “let’s go.”
you were more than unsure. he would end up with a crooked nose if you made any small mistake, but he didn’t think twice as he grabbed your shoulder and led you in the direction of your dorm.
-
kirishima wished he hadn’t broken bakugou’s nose. not because he felt bad, though.
