Ryoichiro's flower symbolism

He sees Aiba as an arrange of Flowers, most prominently roses and daisies.

In Hanakotoba (a Japanese flower language) Roses mean love (like many other cases). Though depending on its colour changes the type of love (but since manga isn't coloured we'll just go with the default love). But having roses for his sister makes sense, as he would have loved her. Though this also could be the fact that she is a romantic herself, as these flowers are representing her, not for her.

Daisies in Hanakotoba is linked to beauty, peace and hope and are often used in arrangements or bouquets to represent happiness and friendliness. And Aiba is all of this too. Though the hope aspect would be more how Ryoichiro views her than her herself.

None of this is revealing though, and they are common flowers, so it makes sense Ryoichiro would represent his sister as an arrange of common and familiar flowers. She knew her well, so wouldn't give her just a single flower to symbolise her. But by using familiar flowers it gives the sense that they were close, a constant in his life like how constant it would be to see roses and daisies.

But it's interesting that he ascribes himself a single flower.

Ryoichiro represents himself as White Lilies.

(Though I am assuming they're white (like how I assumed the daisies are white).)

In Hanakotoba they symbolise purity and chastity. It's odd that we would align himself with such a flower when he recognises his own intrusive thoughts of murder, which isn't considered very pure. It also can represent rebirth, which is interesting with the line "I don't know if I was born this way ...or if it's because I lost my sister and went crazy." as a sort of change/rebirth. But he is only seen with these flowers before he murders.

White Lilies are also commonly used for both weddings and funerals, which is funny to think about. But in this case the link to funerals is most prominent, for his sister, for himself, and for the serial killer. The death of innocence is coming. or something like that. As this is his own view on his past.

Anyways, flowers for the win.

I once had a pet baby drowned in Minecraft. And it was very interesting.

Because, incase you didn't know, while drowns are hostile at night, they are passive to you in the day as long as you aren't wet.

I lived in a ravine where I closed off the top, it was dark in some places cause I would forget to light it. I used a water elevator to travel up and down. One of them was in the dark, and so a baby drowned spawn in. I decided to trap it in a large glass cage, cause I thought "lol I could get a baby drowned as a pet". I gave them a lot of space.

But then I did research and learnt if you weren't wet it was passive in the day. And it also didn't need water to survive. And so I made a clock to know the time, (cause I was underground,) and I would just spend time with them. They became less of a pet and more a child, (I named them Zob,) and they would skip and jump around. And after I made sure I was dried, I would just stand there and watch. It became one of my favourite pastime of that SMP. I love showing my child off and being like "They don't bite".

It almost reminded me of those stories were one character would become dangerous or hostile to their friend under certain conditions, like werewolf for whatever. And I can't blame them for hurting others in that state, cause that state wasn't made for love and kindness and for friends. Like how I couldn't get upset at Zob if I accidentally stayed until night, or I was wet when I went in. It was apart of Zob's code and nature to hurt me when like that

It made me a lot more sympathetic to characters like that in stories. It also helped understand why someone would want to be around a character like that. Cause I was that someone here. And I wouldn't want to leave Zob.

But then someone accidentally mined into the ravine where Zob home was and they escape when I was offline.
