i’ve read the poppy war, tender is the flesh, a certain hunger, all fairly violent books but american psycho is definitely way too much for me 😭 he’s so CASUAL about these atrocities and maybe it’s cause i’ve never seen the movie but jesus christ i’m too weak for this

#just read the scene where he ummm how do i put this delicately #stabs a homeless person and their … furry friend #and i CANNOT DO THIS #he’s so blasé about it too #tender is the flesh was fkn out there violent and yucky i thought it would of prepared me #it did not #and I KNOW THE POINT of the book is to be disturbing #but motherfucker i am DISTURBED #mine #natasha reads #american psycho #don’t get me wrong i’m 140 pages in and its been 2 days #like its a good book but it’s also horrendous #and it only gets worse from here 😭 i’m just reading to find out what happens to him tbh #remember That Chapter from the poppy war #i thought that was horrid and it’s a fkn cake walk to ap
