“Intrude?” Lena questions, genuine surprise taking over her features. “Nonsense. If I didn’t want you here, you wouldn’t be here.” She arches an eyebrow, as if daring Kara to argue with her.

“I know how much you value your privacy and space, so I just.” Kara flushes, licks her lips. “Never mind.”

Lena taps her index finger on the countertop slowly, eyes studying Kara carefully. 

“Sometimes I think I have you figured out, but then other times I think I don’t know a thing about you,” Lena says quietly.

“Huh? I’m an open book. A little too open, I think. You’re the one I have trouble reading,” Kara responds with a smile, and Lena turns quiet.

listen. i’m gonna be honest, i didn’t pay any attention to villa during the summer break and pre-season, and i don’t really know the details but… i really don’t like the way villa is treating tyrone after they stripped off his captaincy.

they have 4 captains now and tyrone isn’t one of them. ok, i understand, maybe he can be fully focused on his game now and get back to his best form. (god, i don’t even want to think about how he’s probably gonna spend some time on the bench.)

but it’s just been so weird. how villa hasn’t even posted a single photo of him in their socials? (well, maybe i missed it and i know he was injured and maybe wasn’t training with the team but,, there’s barely anything??????) it’s like they doesn’t even mention his name now. i understand if you’re trying to give him a little bit of privacy, but maybe a little bit of support, guys? and those comments gerrard made? i just have a lot of questions.

i haven’t been supporting him for long but from what i heard, he’s done some things for villa on and off the pitch. i feel like he deserves a little bit of respect, definitely better than this, or at least what it seems like.

come on now. i know he’s not the best player or defender. but he was surely a leader. wasn’t he at least a good ambassador for the club?

god i hope that he’s putting himself first, taking care of himself, surrounding himself with love, and spending time with his family and loved ones.

The fact that at the end they woke up and still had the chain around their ankle means one of two things:

Marc’s still thinking of his blackouts (ofc we all know it’s our king Jake Lockley) and Steven’s wary of it too

Jake doesn’t know about the reconciliation (or more accurately co-fronting) between Marc and Steven and is thus still working under the impression to protect Steven

Although I’m more inclined to believe the second because otherwise I’m pretty sure Steven/Marc would’ve communicated to each other that they’re tying the chain again

i’ve been thinking about this poem a lot lately and i think it’s so nice. when you’ve spent most of your teenage years deeply unwell with depression, then going against the odds and making it to your 20s, it feels so powerful when you can start to appreciate little everyday things like walking through nature, feeling cosy inside during a big storm, and abnormally large oranges. joie de vivre is really something i’ll never take for granted again !
