#i think you might like Legend anon lol

Hey! I ahev some rambled about the opera house au and just things with the chain in general.
First.
Hwo do you think legend would react to having to play a lead character for the opeing of the show and the main character he played love interest was one if the dives? Like maybe lullaby started panicking because dusk dropped out on opening night and she got sick and lullaby panicked and told legend he would play the lead daisy Buchanan (i'm just using the great gatsby musical characters bc i'm in love with it right now) and one of the dives played jay gatsby and he had to kiss them and sing powerful songs?
Second.
I don't know if it is Canon but in the linked Universe, legend is times descendent or direct successor. How do you think tike would react to finding out he had one more descendent under his nose and it's the veteran who is prickly and cold nothing like twilight his descendent or wind I think wind is his successor who is goofy ans child like but also put. Off even though in recent update we saw legend is an aboustle gremlin...well live that though.
Third
Do you think legend would ever yell at twilight? Like maybe legend is having a bad day snd twilight says somting like "time left the master sword in perfect condition I didn't have to save Mt world until I was 17" and so on just really boasting about it to legend maybe because legendhad been mean or snsrky to wild and twilightwas trying tk get back for wild. Snd legend snaps "yeah really?! Good for you well time didn't leave the master sword in good condition for me! When I found the master sword it rusted beyond belief I had to build it back up with my own 9 (or who ever years old legend was) old hands with times blood on it because time died! Well fighting ganon making my world fall apart leaving a nine year old to save it!" Had legend just yells at twilight dumping all of his trauma on twilight even bring marin into to mix, and the whole chain stands there watching their veteran yell at the ranch hand with tears streaming down his face. Well time feels horrible for birnf inccont legend into the cruel world of being a hero, and giving him that trauma.
Alright bye enjoy your day and be safe!
Legend can and has filled in for leading roles before, but he's also been cast in them! His major starring role is actually one of his more iconic (there's nothing more iconic than that, fight me) and does feature a bit of a "love story" between himself and the character that Warriors plays. Granted, Legend's character is faking the whole thing, but it's still a lot of flirting on stage. They both know how to be professional about it and behave themselves though, and anything like kissing is usually faked for the sake of the actors (when and if they can, there's no actual contact made, as long as they can make it look like there is. He's also ended up having to play a love interest (unrequited, but still) for Wild's character! They had a good laugh about it honestly and yeah, there was a moment there where people had questions, but it just turns out Legend's a good actor and very convincing :)
Honestly, I think Time would be sort of shocked to find out that Legend is also his successor, but also sort of horrified. I mean, Legend comes from a world where Time not only died, but also failed in his duties as a hero, leaving them to fall on the shoulders of another child instead. Granted, that's not his fault, but if you look at their timeline talk and all, you can't deny Time wouldn't blame himself at least a small amount. Would that guilt make it harder for him to be around Legend? Would he treat him differently, knowing that Legend might never have become a hero if Time hadn't fallen? I think he would. I think the guilt would eat at him, because while he does know there will always be heroes who rise to face evil, the fact that Legend had to rise specifically to clean up after him would devastate him. All the more so because Legend's the guy who's done the most out of all of them and is the only one to repeatedly have to fight Ganon, because the pig gained immortality as (again) a result of the Hero of Time falling.
I don't know that Legend would trauma dump on any of his brothers intentionally. he's very guarded, an people like that tend to not be super eager to drop truth bombs that big in a moment flat. Over time though? Sure! Someone makes a comment about the Master Sword and Legend ends up revealing that he had to reforge his before it was actually fit for use, because it was left in ruin. Something else later lets them learn that it still had Time's blood on it when it was left in the forest, and that Legend, while reforging the blade, had to clean the blood-rust away, smelling the blood of his predecessor as he worked. Maybe this or that comes up and they slowly start getting the puzzle pieces of the vet's life; nothing seems to fit together one way or another, and they're not sure how much is true because there's so many things, how could this much happen to one person? But then they realize how many adventures there have been, and how long it took, and when the final nail in the coffin comes with a tired "I was eight", it really hits them all. Legend wouldn't dump it all at once, but I think his brothers are smart enough to put together what he does say to find out the truth, and I think it would devastate them. Twilight would absolutely feel guilty about having it "so easy" in comparison (no such thing, they all suffered, but hey, they all think their pain is lesser than the rest) but I think Legend would shut that down in a heartbeat, if he knew. Now, if Legend inhibitions were lowered in some way and someone set him off? We might get it all at once, with the drama you described. Legend would have to be pretty out of it to be so honest about his past, but hey! Whatever works to make fissures and pain, no?

Friends and friends of friends a network make
Boys are back in town, no rings (Real Life, not Instabuzz) and active networking:
Tumblr media
In this case, those who are missing from the pic are as (if not more) important as those who made it, riding in the rain.
Let's unpack:
John Laurie, Managing Director at the Glenturret distillery, where my personal favorite blend (oh, well, The Famous Grouse - I know, really LOL, but it is what it is) is made. A long, interesting career that started in 2000, as General Manager of a fitness club network headquartered in Irvine, California (LA Fitness) and got him more and more involved in whisky business since 2014, as General Manager of Edrington, the Macallan distillery. If it sounds familiar to you, well... always remember that #silly old slogan on the Pall Mall cigarette packs: 'wherever particular people congregate'. I know I do 😎.
Tumblr media
Something immediately piqued my interest in this short bio: 'opened a fine dining restaurant that achieved a Michelin star inside 7 months'. And it is, of course, true: part of the reasons I am always using LinkedIn to place people, is that it would be counterproductive to blatantly lie, there. Or childish: even McSideburns knows that, with his very empty page and 1 contact - but what the hell do I know, though, he's more private than if he worked for the MI-6.
The one starred Michelin restaurant who got 'le macaron' in seven months is The Glenturret Lalique Restaurant, that opened in July 2021, on the distillery's premises and got it by February 2022. The first time a distillery wins a Michelin star, by the way:
Now, where did I read a similar business story, not so long ago and wrote about it? Oh, that's right, Tom Kitchin's first restaurant in EDI apparently followed the same yellow brick road to instant success, back in 2007:
Again, I am sensing a theme, here. Associating with young, dynamic and daring entrepreneurial voices in the whisky business. Not exactly the manwhore, closeted gay, peasant and crook some hypocrites would like to portray. I have to say, I am always, always over the moon glad to see the real thing showing up from time to time: a consistent effort to get things done, properly.
But sure, you believe what you want. I cannot force anyone to go beyond a sometimes very limited world view.
Second person being missed is David Coulthard, F1 legend, but also...
Tumblr media
Company Director at Whisper Films, one of the most dynamic, fastest growing UK media groups. He founded it in 2010, along Jake Humphries, BBC F1 commenter extraordinaire and Sunil Patel, a former BBC producer, but also a Board Member of the Edinburgh TV Festival:
Tumblr media
And for those who might not know it (I didn't), Coulthard hails from Dumfries & Galloway. Mmmhm. Well done, S. Well done.
S knows exactly what he's doing, where he's going and when and with whom he is seen. By this point in time, I think we might safely think his somewhat lackadaisical recent Insta follows (Romanian female MMA athlete? ROFLMAO, really and I howled) as gently trolling this very obsessed invested fandom. As I wrote it many, many times already, the Scottish Mafia is a reality - and good for him, really, to use what is readily available. And if you still had any doubt that was a business informal meeting, The Highland Chieftain tagged SS in his story.
He's going to laugh all the way to the bank, this one. You'll see. Great news and I will always be here to put it in context. Some of the things being heavily peddled around in here might not be very interesting to me - but this yes: this is exciting.
Also, many, many thanks to the two of you who immediately keep me up with these: you know who you are and you are loved, of course, why even ask?😘🙌

hello..👋👋
as someone who wants to get into arthurian legends.. where do you think I should start? is there a precise canon to follow? oh and.. this might be a stupid question but.. how would you describe guinevere's and lancelot's relationship...? i personally really like them because of what I've heard online, but i got shamed for liking it a while ago from people who really hated guinevere and said gawain or galehaut(not sure if i spelled it right) would be better for lancelot..
Hello anon!
I have a Beginner’s Guide to Medieval Arthuriana pinned on my blog. There’s no precise canon to follow, but you’ll get the most bang for your buck reading the works of Chrétien de Troyes and the Vulgate Cycle. Much of what Chrétien developed ended up in the Vulgate, like Lancelot rescuing Guinevere from kidnapping, but there are more elements added from other stories, such as Lancelot’s upbringing in the lake which originated from Lanzelet by Ulrich von Zatzikoven. On the other hand, Yvain’s journey as Knight with the Lion doesn’t make it into the Vulgate, so that’s worth reading on its own.
Regarding the part about people shaming you: block them if you haven’t already and anyone else who does so in future. I’m terribly sorry those people were unwelcoming as you begin to read and learn about Arthurian Legend. Let that not reflect on the community as a whole—there’s many lovely people here that’ll be happy to help you along. I hope you’re able to cultivate a positive online experience to the best of your ability and start enjoying the legends with us! :^D
But back to the fun stuff—I also really like Guinevere/Lancelot! My favorite dynamic is when Arthur is included too, but Guin is my number one pick for Lancey. ;^) It’s hard to describe them in so few words but I think it’s important to establish that they’re friends. This is an oft overlooked aspect that really deserves attention. They care for each other deeply. She helps him out of his madness and he helps her out of danger. This is something Arthur couldn’t do for either of them, much as he wanted to. That’s what makes the pair special, to me.
As for shipping wars about medieval characters….kinda ridiculous! And shaming other people over it is just abhorrent. I’m sorry you had to deal with that! Personally I enjoy Arthur/Guinevere/Lancelot and Galehaut/Lancelot. I think it’s obvious I favor Gawain with his wife Ragnelle lol but Gawain/Lancelot is fine too. Gawain can have a little Lancelot. As a treat. I even enjoy “crackship” type pairings, like Bedivere/Lancelot or Kay/Lancelot or maybe a little [unrequited] Agravaine/Lancelot, and if the author or filmmaker chooses to write her in a positive light, Elaine/Lancelot as well. But that’s just it—there’s certainly no such thing as a “better” person(s) to couple with Lancelot. It’s literally fake. It’s fiction. It’s for fun! Doesn’t sound like the people you’ve encountered were having very much fun and put that on you, which was wrong.
Here I’d like to mention I run a discord server called the Arthurian Theater Server. Every weekend I stream TV shows and movies, mostly Arthurian, sometimes random fantasy. But it’s more than visual media—my friends and I share resources, character playlists, art we made, stories we wrote, we’ll liveblog retellings or newly discovered medlit translations, and discuss anything else Arthurian! We have custom made emojis for all the knights and ladies, a variety of original art stickers of the characters provided by several members, and an array of sounds bites ripped from films and TV for the soundboard to be played while streaming. Tumblr can be a little hard to navigate with the unreliable tag system, so this server is dedicated to an organized and moderated exchange of ideas and content. You’re welcome to join us!
Let me know if you have any other questions, it’s never a bother. Take care!

I saw your delinquent Deuce art and suddenly thought of this. Do you have any headcanons for the bad boy? I'd love to hear them if yes
+
Anonymous asked:
how many piercings do you think deuce has? i can imagine when they finally get intimate, ace is surprised by a tongue piercing and nipple piercings
Since our yesterday's post has opened a conversation about delinquent Deuce and you want some thoughts/headcanons, let's talk about it!
To answer the second Anon while we’re at it, I think Deuce used to have his tongue and his ears pierced. The tongue one Deuce did to impress his senpai, and it was exactly that senpai who poked a hole in his tongue. It wasn’t all that professional or sanitary, it happened behind some combini store, so Deuce was super nervous, but senpai did a surprisingly good job so Deuce didn’t even catch any infections. Deuce still remembers the tingles and the adrenalin he felt while trying to stand still while the guy that he respects a lot handled his tongue.
The other guys actually did ask him if he was going to have his nipples pierced, but Deuce got defensive and kinda mad about it and refused. In actuality he was embarrassed and kind of scared that it’d hurt a lot more than his previous piercings… So he didn’t end up doing it. Ace however, when he learned that Deuce used to have piercings (yep he felt it on his tongue), immediately asked if he had anything done with his nipples. He said is as a joke just to tease Deuce, but Deuce looked at him so seriously, in a “who told you?” way.
Deuce also almost got his shoulder blade tattooed; he was anxious about it but wanted to do it quite badly to spite everyone in the world. But then that situation with his mom happened, and Deuce’s attitude towards his own life changed overnight, so he ended up not getting that tattoo. The guys from his gang probably thought that he chickened out.
Delinquent Deuce used to be especially mad at teachers and straight-A students; to him it always felt like they were mad at him for existing and mocking him for being stupid, so he lashed out at them a lot. Sometimes he got so mean and wicked that even his senpais were impressed. This is actually a reason why despite not being the oldest, Deuce kind of had his own minions who respected him: the guy was a legend lol it was very bad. But he did respect his senpais..! They taught him how to drink and smoke!
Yeah, Deuce used to drink and smoke. He didn’t really like it, but he got used to the taste rather quickly. And yes, he did finish other people’s cigs and let others drink his beer. They didn’t mind sharing at all, so Deuce indirectly kissed a lot of guys lol … but he also kissed some of them directly when he got drunk.
I can actually see two routes when it comes to Deuce and all the boykissing stuff that occurred during his wilder years. One way to look at it would be to assume that Deuce, while being aggressive and constantly angry, is still our naïve and oblivious Deuce, who doesn’t necessarily think much about these things, but gets pressured into making out when he gets drunk. He might even get carried away and end up letting the other guys touch him/touching them in return, but it would be the result of Deuce not thinking/being drunk/being kind of taken advantage of. In that case, Deuce might not even consider this something serious these days…
Another way to look at it would assume that Deuce’s sexual awakening occurred during his rebel phase, so he ended up being quite active with the guys he was surrounded by. Of course, he’d still have sloppy drunk makeout sessions, but they would feel more intentional and probably driven by his desire to just piss the world off. Plus, Deuce is very eager to be good at _something_, and this could be that _something_ that Deuce gets praised for doing by his senpais. Both scenarios could work depending on how you look at it I guess lol
To Ace, Deuce’s delinquent years’ stories feel like pulling a never-ending scarf out of the magician’s hat: whenever Ace feels like he has heard all the shocking details, Deuce suddenly blushes and reveals something else. And the shock on Ace’s face makes Deuce even more embarrassed. Ace, however, kind both amazed (wow, another excuse to tease Deuce!), pissed (no way, you’ve done this too?!) and turned on (…).

Honest self-reflections
Tumblr media
After much self-reflection, I've realized that being on here has now become an activity of ego indulgence in some ways. I started @4dbarbie-archive initially to sort & organise all of Ada's content in a way I liked as well as learn & make sense of her teachings, which creating the 4dbarbie remix posts have been most pivotal in. Then there were some thoughts I wanted to share and I created this blog and shared some of my experiences and thoughts with my writings and journal entries. I came here with some objectives and accomplished that; it was most rewarding and enlightening.
It's only been a week and a half since I first created @4dbarbie-archive and just over a week since I created this blog (feels a lot longer though lol) but now I feel like I ended up becoming too involved in this community and my ego feels a bit addicted & attached and almost obligated to continue being involved in order to help others out. This is counterintuitive to the journey of self-realization; the opposite of letting go of identity/thoughts/ego/externals in order to realize Self. It's hard to completely detach from all that while being on here.
I have really enjoyed my time here and am grateful for the experience but now I've realised it has become more of an obstacle on my path to self-realization. Of course, I'm sure others are able to continue being on this platform in a healthy way while still progressing on their own journey and not attach identity to it but personally for myself, it would be easier & better to step away for a bit and take time to just be in silence and focus inwards on Self.
To help others, I want to first know my Self completely. As Nisargadatta Maharaj said, you need not know to be, but you must be to know. To know is to be. Meaning you do not need to read a ton of information about non-dualism to realize your Self, it is not necessary at all and at some point after you have gained adequate understanding, it is just feeding the mind and ego. You need to experience your Self in order to truly know who you are. This is something that no amount of reading will accomplish (if only!!) because our Self is beyond the mind and not something that can be truly understood through words and intellect alone (which are just concepts). At some point, you just have to dive right in and do it yourself, and going all in is sometimes the best way to do it instead of having one foot in and the other foot out. This is something that success stories have all taught me and I want to thank all who shared their experiences, it most definitely does teach things that theory alone cannot. 🤍
As Lester Levenson said "If anyone of us could stop thinking right now and remain that way, he would be an unlimited Being from this moment on. It really is that simple, though not necessarily an easy accomplishment." Session 4: Happiness of The Keys to Ultimate Freedom
This is not goodbye but more of a see you later. This blog will remain up but I will be taking a pause from Tumblr to let go and go within. How long? However long it takes. I have no expectations or idea on that nor do I care. Though when I do come back (whenever that may be), I hope to see many more success stories of others who have also gone within, realized their true Self and are experiencing beautiful dreams. 🩷
It's going to be a bit hard to go cold turkey cos there is some attachment to this community so I might linger for a bit but again I know this is my ego and mind grasping on and I want to let go of this (the quote "Let go of your earthly tether" from Legend of Korra comes to mind and I love that). I know Ada would agree with what I'm doing too.
Special shout out to @adadisciple for creating her blog as a hub for all of 4dbarbie students to come together and share their experiences! Without your blog (and the anons!), I could not have had some of the realizations I have now so thank you! And it was nice working with you as a team at times over the past week to answer some asks. Don't forget to take care of yourself and don't sacrifice your own personal journey for the sake of your blog! And this goes for the other ND blogs too! You guys are all amazing.
Take care, everyone! Do what's best for you first and remember that this is all just a dream. There is no "must" in anything. It's all just a dream so make it beautiful 😌
May we all realize our Self.
--- Kelly out ♡

Macaque Book Club AU
He’s the only one asides from Tang probably who has read JTTW. So in his little book club because let’s be honest, between the theatre and the graffiti lego set, he seems like the kind to have a couple modern day hobbies in the arts like your grandma who has a bunch of friends to gossip with at the knitting meet or the greenhouse. He’s the only monkey actually using his human disguise actively so, I imagine they get together at the local library, someone brings refreshments Macky is allergic to by virtue of being a monkey but they get him addicted to (insert snack/drink of your choice) and he gets into fandom discourse at the book club with someone whose like “the 6EM from the book was a one off villain who died ages ago, get over it” but to him, on the worst nights it all comes back. (And maybe this is recently right after Shadow Play so.) oh wait pff, we’re going to need a new recent trigger I forgot he gets kidnapped right after 😭 okay so maybe this person is what pushes him to write the play. I hope you know the exact like of fandom discourse I’m talking about bc I’m really pulling from people who are like??? why are you hyperfixated on this one thing? And maybe Tang eventually puts the pieces together about who this guy is. I also can’t help but start thinking about how lonely Macky might actually be, because you’d THINK he’d be the anti social one but Wukong is the one isolating himself for a thousand years with 13 cats, I mean a bunch of baby monkeys. Meanwhile, Macranberry is out there in Six Earred Hearing Hell in the city and super chatty whenever we see him. He wasn’t as chatty around the Brotherhood. Only with Wukong as needed who was full out dancing on the tables lol, things change eh? Even defeating the smoke monster feels like an attempt at catching up to your friend who got a real job while you’re just starting college. (Aka when Wukong and his shiny new hero legend status sealed the Bull King.) He says there was nobody who could stop the two of them in the Celestial Realm or on earth but we know that 1) Macky doesn’t like the Celestial Realm. 2) They definitely weren’t spending all day there back then with the overthrowing plotting and also got defeated hard. 3) They weren’t actually vigilante heroing back then if Wukong picked up his demon defeating status after the journey. 4) Would Macky ever do that on his own or was it always with Wukong until he tried it out post-resurrection like everything else presumably new about him. He probably meant “nobody could stop Wukong’s mischief that I helped him out with but he mostly did all the big things like immortal peach stealing and the book of the dead himself and I was there for uh, moral support. And baffled that he did that. But I’m going to pretend to MK that we were a cool team and equals and this wasn’t just a precursor to our eventual fall out. Sorry Mr. “yeah you always did have a sidekick kinda vibe.”
careful, anon, he could hear you 👀
but lmao i love this au!!!! also, since Tang is in the same book club as Macky (and i kinda want them to always get into “scholarly” debates when it comes to jttw because it’s Tang’s favorite book and….well, Macky has a monkey problem…..), Tang is invited by Macky to the shadowplay, so end of 2x07 is basically
MK: uh…so that’s Macackle— Tang: MY BOOK CLUB NEMESIS WAS FHE SIX EARED MACAQUE THIS WHILE TIME??? MK: yeah, he— sorry, book club? Tang: THAT BITCH HE FUCKING LAUGHED AT MY ANALYSIS ON THE MONK AND WUKONG!!
and then you’ll just have Tang screaming at Macky throughout s3 about how he must answer for his “crimes” of withholding valuable academic information (3x08 is just them arguing about the content in jttw but it’s not actually about jttw rather about Macky himself and his blind anger obscuring his memories. they just use the book as a cover for the true conversation)

(synthpop anon) to be more specific i'm looking for more stuff in the vein of depeche mode, new order, pet shop boys, soft cell, etc. the type i can best describe as "fun music with jaded lyrics". speaking of yaz(oo) i already really like upstairs at eric's!
hmmm. I worry that I might not have the best recs for you then because I'm one of those people who doesn't pay THAT much attention to lyrics... it took me a full decade to realize that tryouts for the human race is a song about sperm. sung from the perspective of a sperm lol. I just hear a moroder synth line and black out
so forgive me if any of these are (1) songs/bands you already know or (2) don't quite fit the ticket, but let me try to suggest some stuff based on vibes...
sparks, actually. I still haven't listened to most of their 80s discography (one of these days...) but I adore no 1 in heaven, which is 100% synthpop, and kimono my house, which isn't. but those boys are insane lyricists so if you like fun music about crazy shit you're in the right place.
if you already like yaz (I specifically said yazoo in my last response in case you hadn't heard of em, since when you google "yaz" the first thing that comes up is the birth control pill... but as a yank I admittedly never call them yazoo lol) then you know that vince clarke is a fucking legend. and as one half of erasure I think some of erasure's lesser-known hits fit the bill. love to hate you, who needs love like that, oh l'amour...
bronski beat for more gay synthpop. oh shit marc almond is here?
I only know a handful of devo songs, so if you want better recs you'd need to ask my dad lol, but i like love without anger and freedom of choice
XTC!!!
prefab sprout has some bangers across the board but the king of rock and roll is a song about a washed-up music star with thomas dolby in the production seat. so pretty much exactly what you're looking for.
tears for fears? broken, change, mothers talk... plus the US mix of mothers talk that I mostly don't like but I adore the intro (it's not that you're not goooood enough... it's just that we can make you bet-taaah...)
OMD is good. check out dazzle ships
midge-ure era ultravox is maybe too on the nose. literally dancing with tears in my eyes, lol. plus reap the wild wind, the thin wall, and of course vienna
not necessarily jaded lyrics but aztec camera is really moody and good. I love high land, hard rain (and this extended version of walk out to winter...)
jaded but not synthpop: the english beat. seriously, hear me out
it's less synthpop-y than some of this other stuff, but these gary numan solo albums are my fave: dance and I, assassin
if you don't already like japan you gotta go listen to gentlemen take polaroids front to back. then try titles by mick karn
some random one-offs: happy hour; promises, promises; the politics of dancing
and then, of course, the all time legend

hey there!
this might be like a weird ask, but i've seen you post a lot about the legend of korra, so.
do you think it's worth watching the show? i've been avoiding it for a while now simply because i'm afraid it's gonna disappoint. i know it is a separate narrative with entirely new characters, but from the few scenes i've seen it just looks sooooo different from the gaang's story that i'm just afraid they've butchered the original universe. plus, my favorite character from atla is aang, and i do not know if any character from korra will have that same kind of charm.
on the other hand, i know it attracts a lot of fans. what do you think?:)
(btw, amazzzzzzing job on both your zukaang fanfic and the artwork for it !!)
Hi anon! :) This isn't a weird ask at all, I'd be happy to help!
So the short answer is: yes, I think it's worth watching! I know exactly how you feel - Aang is also my favorite AtLA character, so I was also very apprehensive when LoK was first announced way back in like 2011. But my apprehension didn't stop me from looking forward to and eventually enjoying it, mainly because AtLA was/still is my strongest and longest running hyperfixation to date, and I (especially at that time) was willing to consume any scrap of media related to it lol. We were very starved for content in the olden days :')
I'll go ahead and give you a spoiler-free breakdown of the four LoK seasons - this might help you decide:
Book 1: Air is definitely is quite a bit different from AtLA (which was done on purpose by the creators to differentiate it so it wouldn't just feel like the exact same show). Book 1 is still my least favorite of the LoK seasons for this reason (as well as for questionable writing decisions), but there are still some great moments. You may notice that Book 1 ends very "neatly" - this is because LoK was originally supposed to be a miniseries before Nickelodeon picked it up for 3 more seasons (which I think was a large part of why the writing suffers a lot in the first half of the show as a whole).
Book 2: Spirits also starts out pretty rough (with more questionable writing decisions), but it picks up about halfway through. Some people say this is their least favorite season, but I've always enjoyed it overall a ton more than Book 1. While some of the additions to the lore of the Avatar and the Spirit World are polarizing amongst the fandom (and there are some things I wish they'd done differently), I still ate that shit up when it first aired lol.
Book 3: Change is where, in my and many others' opinions, the show suddenly rises to the same level of quality as AtLA. There's a lot of traveling, we get to see some familiar faces and several classic AtLA locations from Book 2: Earth, the villains are the best villains in any Avatar media, and the plot and emotional core of the season are just so, so good. I can't say any more because I don't want to spoil even a little bit of it. I personally think LoK is worth watching just for this season alone.
Book 4: Balance is not as good as Book 3, but I enjoyed it a lot more than Book 1 and Book 2. It does a really good job of exploring trauma/PTSD and the relevance of the role of the Avatar in a modernizing world, and is a decent followup to Book 3. What happens at the end of Book 4 is also SO culturally impactful (not sure if you know why, but I won't say anything specific), especially for queer AtLA fans such as myself.
While LoK definitely isn't perfect, I still accept it as canon for the world of Avatar, and it's still a show I've rewatched several times (though I tend to skip a lot of Book 1 and the first half of Book 2 when I do lmao). If you decide to watch it, go in with an open mind knowing that it is not going to be exactly like AtLA. Even in the not-as-good seasons, there's still some gems to behold. And what's also nice about LoK is that each season is about 12ish episodes, so you'll get to the really good stuff (Book 3) pretty quickly if you binge lol.
Feel free to send me another ask if you have any more specific questions about LoK! :)

I’m a chameron is T4T truther and I need someone else to see my vision. Pls tell me u get it lol
ABSOLUTELY. any and all chameron T4T headcanons are food for my soul. cameron is so deep in the comphet and... is compulsory cisgender-ness a thing? 'cause i can see her being in it. she tries way too hard to be a cis girl to actually BE one (from someone who also tried way too hard to be a cis girl and was, in fact, not one). my first t4t headcanon for them was transmasc chase and nb lesbian cameron, but Chase is like Link (legend of zelda) in that literally any trans headcanon for him is phenomenal and plausible. Transmasc Chase? hell yeah. Transfem Chase? FUCK yeah. Chase can have all the gender! Or no gender at all!!! It just works.
NB lesbian Cameron has my heart and soul (as an nb lesbian myself #shameless projecting) BUT now I'm thinking about transmasc Cameron... I think canon Cameron would have an absolute meltdown if she realized she were trans during the show because... well, because she's Cameron. but now I'm thinking about t4t Chameron with transmasc Cameron and transfem Chase and them transitioning together, and y'know what? all the self-awareness and patience and understanding that takes would probably make them closer and mean that their relationship might actually LAST.
also anon, i think you are going to enjoy a certain part of my crack video that i'm posting in a few weeks lol (it may or may not be chameron related)

Hello! Just wanna say thank you to you & kyogre-blue (and the anons) for being like the only people I can find that agree that Genshin's storytelling is wack lol I'm surprised how many people praise the writing when it's so confusingly paced and conflicts they bring up don't really go anywhere or the payoff is lackluster. There so much unnecessary dialogue & the last acts of the main story are always such a big rushed mess!
That being said, I wanted to ask if there's any series(game, anime, manga, etc) you'd recommend that does the things genshin wants to do but better, or even just series you'd recommend in general or wish more people knew about!
Hi anon! Sorry for the late response, I have been adding and removing stuff from this list for a few days. I genuinely don't know why people think Genshin is well written - I can understand people thinking it's good in concept and that some of its high concept ideas are interesting, but the actual story itself? Beyond me.
Thank you in return for the validation - the more I see people go on about how great it is the crazier I feel...
As for recs...
The real issue is that Genshin tries to do a LOT of different things, but there aren't a lot of games that do ALL the things Genshin tried to do. That's what makes Genshin stand out, though obviously a lot of what it does do leaves a lot to be desired... I am mostly going to stick to anime/manga/games per your request, but if you like fantasy worlds with lots of lore there's a lot of western high fantasy that might also be your thing.
And you know, these are gonna be subjective recs.
In general, if you're looking for more JRPG fantasy games - Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest and Tales of Franchise are good places to start. They're all self-contained stories and you can easily jump from one entry to another. My experience with anything except Final Fantasy is really spotty, but narrowing it down a bit;
Tales of Vesperia and Tales of Symphonia are generally the most well-regarded Tales of games; they're on my 'to-play' list so I can't rec them personally. I am playing Tales of Berseria (very slowly) and quite enjoying myself, but it's supposed to be pretty different to the rest of the series.
Dragon Quest XI is a very well-regarded entry into the series, and the most recent. It's a fun game with a cute cast; it doesn't do anything particularly exciting and is a very standard 'save the world from the forces of darkness!' plot, but it's very cute and I had a good time.
As an generally well-regarded MMO Final Fantasy 14 probably comes the closest to encapsulating what Genshin offers, though I never got far (no shade to 14; I just don't like MMOs). Apparently the guy that wrote FF16 is also a 14 writer, but I thought FF16's writing sucked so take that with a grain of salt. Actually, FF16's combat reminded me a lot of Genshin too lmao. Lots of waiting for skills to cool down.
Final Fantasies 6, 7 and 9 are generally pretty safe jumping-on points - 7 being the most well-regarded for a reason, though arguments on the 'best Final Fantasy' can get vicious. 15 is also open-world but, uh, I got bored and couldn't finish it.
Final Fantasy Remake, Intergrade and presumably the upcoming Rebirth are very good, I just disagree with some choices made (and every they're not ALL bad choices.) Rebirth will apparently be open-world, but it's not a cheap investment to get them all.
Games that have elements similar to Genshin's;
Legend of Zelda; Breath of the Wild inspired Genshin's open-world and though it's not as pretty, it's certainly more engaging. It's not as story-heavy as Genshin. It handles exploration a lot better in almost all regards, imo.
Bravely Default and/or Octopath Traveller (party-based RPGs with HEAVY party customisation options - if you wish Genshin allowed for more variety/options there. Very different experience, BD is a 'complete party' and OT is '8 separate storylines')
Similarly, if you like character/party building and strategy games in general, while I didn't love the story Fire Emblem Engage was really fun to play. If you want a cute party and story, Fire Emblem Awakening is a pretty solid entry too.
Ace Attorney, if you need to detox after Fontaine's attempts at writing trials. Ace Attorney vs Professor Layton has a batshit ending, but its about witch trials, which is cool.
I'd also tentatively recommend Kingdom Hearts. A game about traveling to different worlds, meeting new people, searching for people that you've lost but still care about despite everything. Very fun hack and slash gameplay from KH2 onwards; iconic villain squad and some of the best (bonus) boss fights in the business, incredible soundtrack and plays around with identity and personhood as concepts in more interesting ways than Genshin does. Clunky and cheesy, but still close to my heart. But yes the worlds are mostly Disney.
Fate/Samurai Remnant is both probably currently the best introduction* to the Fate universe and a good game in it's own right. And if you like series with a fucktonne of lore and world-building that take their own spin on history and mythology, you'll probably like the Nasuverse. The original Fate/Stay Night will be getting an official english release later this year, along with Tsukihime. Witch of the Holy Night is also already out - they're meaty visual novels. FGO walked so that Star Rail could faceplant into the ground, etc etc.
Some general adventure anime/manga;
One Piece Live Action: Surprisingly, I really enjoyed this. You might also enjoy actual One Piece, on the off-chance you haven't already seen it. (maybe that's the more sensible recommendation? I really wish I liked One Piece more than I do) After all this time, Romance Dawn is still my favourite One Piece saga.
Hunter x Hunter is generally just good and fun, though its a bit of a slow start. Finally finished 2011's anime adaptation. It made me cry. Also, the Phantom Troupe are just. So fun. Chrollo my beloved scumbag
Frieren: Beyond Journey's End and Delicious in Dungeon are two adventure anime with extremely different vibes. Though you might already be watching those. Frieren has themes of living longer than your friends and companions, and watching people you care about vanish while you stay young - what it's like to experience that, and how to move on. Delicious in Dungeon is a comedy in a well thought out fantasy world.
Trigun's anime, Trigun's manga and Trigun: Stampede are all very different but similar narratives about a semi-immortal inhuman character traveling across an apocalyptic planet humanity failed to properly settle. I haven't watched the original anime, but the manga and Stampede were both fun.
If you haven't seen Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood yet, rocket that to the top of the list.
I'm currently watching a mid-2000s shonen isekai - Marchen Awakens Romance - with a friend. We're enjoying ourselves so far... at ep 40/ out of 100ish. If it gets bad it's not my fault.
Classic old-school isekai I haven't seen in ages are Inuyasha and Magic Knights Rayearth. Didn't finish InuYasha, actually. Fushigi Yugi is on my to-watch list.
Tsubasa Resevoir Chronicles is a mid 2000s adventure manga that involves a LOT of dimensional travel and found family feels. It gets very mind-screwy by the end and has a sister series partially needed to understand what's going on - xxxHolic, which I also remember liking though it has been a hot minute (over a decade) for both of them. Go manga, not anime. More of a 'alternative to Star Rail' rec, tbh.
I think if you mentioned some specific characters or potential plotlines in Genshin I might be able to offer alternatives? Like, if you liked the House of Hearth as morally grey found family trying to protect Fontaine, I could say you might like Moriarty the Patriot or Bungou Stray Dogs, but a lot of that's gonna be way more subjective than broader fantasy/adventure story recs...
(If you wish Scaramouche had ever been able to confront his creator and his vague allusions to 'having a heart' and personhood/identity were more of a thing - Lies of P! If you liked Diluc but wish he still did anything vigilante-like, you'll probably like... some... Batman media! Depends why you like Diluc! Stuff like that.)
The thing I've watched most recently that I really, really liked was Scott Pilgrim Takes Off. I read the books in high school and revisiting it (and it revisiting itself) was really interesting. The show has some extremely interesting animation choices and generally looks incredible - it's also pretty funny, so there's that. I'd recommend either reading the books or watching the movie first (the entire movie cast returned to voice act Takes Off, actually - and do an incredible job).
I've also been playing a shitton of Castlevania lately. I didn't like the shows very much, but I found myself enjoying the games I got on the Switch store.

Thanks for tagging me, @orangepanic!
20 Questions for Fic Writers
1. How many works do you have on Ao3? 58 and counting!
2. What’s your total Ao3 word count? 177,456. Not a whole lot, but I suppose it makes sense since I usually write shorter fics.
3. What fandoms do you write for? Currently, I write for Legend of Korra and occasionally Avatar the Last Airbender. However, prior to my Ao3 days, I wrote for a few other fandoms (mostly anime related).
4. What are your top five fics by kudos?
1. Her Caldera Sunrise - A fluffy little oneshot about Ty Lee taking care of Azula when she gets sick while they're tracking the avatar.
2. Friendly Fires - Another fluffy little oneshot (I'm beginning to see a trend here) about Azula comforting Ty Lee after she gets stung by a flaming man-o-war on Ember Island.
3. The Successor - A fic centered on all the messy mother-daughter, mentor-protege, and not-quite-sister dynamics between Opal, Suyin, and Kuvira leading up to Kuvira's departure from Zaofu. It follows the timeline and events of books 2 and 3 of LOK, but it's really character and relationship driven.
4. The Weight of Empire - A collection of oneshots about Kuvira, Baatar, their relationship in all of its stages, and to a lesser extent, the Earth Empire.
5. House of the Flaming Boar - A multichapter AU about a happily married Lin Beifong and Lightning Bolt Zolt taking in young Mako and Bolin after their parents die. It's a mostly lighthearted family fic, with some splashes of angst.
5. Do you respond to comments? Yes! I'm a little behind on them right now, but I try to respond whenever I can!
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? Probably Suitcases, in which twenty-something year old Lin tries to break things off with Zolt, even though she doesn't really want to.
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? Hmm...I do write a lot of fluff, so this is a bit difficult. I think I'll go with The Road to Zaofu, my Suyin/Baatar Sr. origin story, because Baatar Sr. gets his happily ever after.
8. Do you get hate on fics? Not really. I don't think I'm relevant enough in the fandom to get hate lol. However, I did once get a very angry tumblr anon accusing me of fascism because I portrayed Kuvira as a sympathetic character.
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind? Occasionally. More so for certain ships than for others. When I do write smut, it's generally unremarkable, and pretty vanilla. But I'm proud that I can write it at all now without feeling so embarrassed that I think I might faint.
10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written? Not typically, and never for my current fandom. When I was in high school, though, I wrote a Naruto/Fairy Tail crossover where Natsu and Sakura were distant relatives.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated? You know, someone asked for my permission to translate one of my older fics years ago, and I said yes, but I don't remember if I ever saw the translated work.
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before? Not yet, but there may be something coming up in the future!
14. What’s your all-time favorite ship? All my ships are dear to me in different ways, but I think I have to say Linzolt!
15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? I am determined to finish just about everything I have on Ao3...it just might take a while. Please be patient with me lol.
16. What are your writing strengths? Hmm...I think dialogue, concision, and interiority are my biggest strengths.
17. What are your writing weaknesses? Description, description, description. Also, endings and managing conflicts and complex plot events in the story.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic? I think it's really cool whenever I see it in other people's fics, but I don't believe it's something I'd try in my own.
19. First fandom you wrote for? My first ever fandom was Kim Possible back when I was like ten.
20. Favourite fic you’ve written? Hmm...I am a little fond of all of my fics, having written them and all. But if I had to choose, I'd say either The Matriarch (because Suyin is a lot more fun if you let her be ruthless) or Black Sun (because I love the concept of politically savvy Ty Lee).
I'm tagging @linnorabeifong, @nyamadermont, @chiefbeifongcanrailme, @oldandirrelevant and anyone who wants to participate!

i know that barça screwed m/ssi over and that his fans have every right to be pissed at that but i can't help but feel that the number of m/ssi fans and the number of barça fans is so disproportionate.
i love him but a part of me didn't want him back because of his fanbase, particularly the ones who hate barça. our youngsters are already under so much pressure and i don't want them being blamed and hated on for not being like the prime teams that m/ssi had in the past.
I believe you're far from being alone in this stance, anon! The sheer number of internet crowd that Ronaldo or Messi can drain is akin to the swifties or other internet phenomenon : it's lot of users that can together act quite dumb. Any crowd existing erases any nuances the people composing them, as individuals, could bring to discussions. I myself consider that what happened in those years is nothing less than disgraceful - from Luis Suarez's treatment and how Neymar's millions have been handled by Bartomeu, to how one of our biggest club legend has been fucked over by the board, and more specifically Laporta - who remains first of all an ex-lawyer and a politician - in an utterly shameful manner. Meanwhile, I believe that Laporta genuinely cares about the club (I might be wrong since as mentionned previously, he's a politician, but being from the city itself and everything, for now I do believe a genuine care to exist, mingled amongst politics, personal ambition and co) and most probably saved it from a dire wreckage ; so there you go.
Essentially 1) indeed that'd have been a problem, esp with the youngsters being more connected online and more susceptible to stumble upon those senseless criticism springing out of twitter 2) the outweight of what he could have brought to the team, being an experienced football player, having grown up within the club and knowing it as well as he does, good relationship with the coach and being the at the level that he is. Thinking specifically about the passes/vision dev. with Pedri, relationship with Gavi whose rage/energy about the club/on the pitch reminds me a lot of young Messi, Yamal, etc.
So yeah, valid thoughts! At the end of the day though it's chill, a done deal : he's not coming back as a player, probably will for a farewell match and later on as a board member, and eventually all that "true culer" vs "solo stan" discourse (it bears repeating that this is a majorly online discussion - cf the chants for him all throughout last part of the season - and that, as we know, the contrast between online and reality is a crude one lol) will mean nothing down the line as time erases those asperities. At the end of the day whenever there's talk about Messi and Barça, I always like to step back and hightlight that beyond the brand the name "Messi" has become and all the anger/frustration/annoyance that can legitimately spring out of culés/others from the massive cult-like following that gravitates around it, there's a guy who, like Iniesta, Xavi, Puyol, Guardiola and other beloved players, came from our very own academy, repeatedly chose to gave said club - not without rocky moments btw, let's not romantize there - 95% of his career/talent, while standing at times surrounded by "prime teams" and at others seemingly utterly alone in shameful XI sides hanging on by a thread. His coming back could've been beneficial on some plans ; it could've been a disaster on others ; and honestly, talking about the multiple issues there comes with being associated to such a worldwide persona and the consequences it has on his relationship with the club/its fans is quite interesting and unique, since it's a phenomenon that I believe spawned from the social media age, and of which the only equivalent to Messi in that cult-following is CR7, who changed clubs quite regularly and didn't forge such a special connection with one. Thus LM10 really seems to be a quite specific case. Messi's stay at Barça was far from being a steady, quiet journey too, and I think it's always healthy to critize it as it's never alright to idolize anyone, as long as the bottom line - which is why I have a slight irk at some self-proclaimed "true culer" - remains : this guy is as much a culer as anyone sitting in the stands or watching on the TV, and for the amount of things he gave that club, probably more.

What's the hottake 😶‍🌫️
Hello hi. This post will be very long. I'm assuming you mean my hot take(s) on fandom popular fics and why they are worse? If so you have come to the right place because I don't have any fear lol. And frankly, the fandom these fics are from lowkey kind of soured on me months ago so I got myself out of active fandom creation.
I should preface this with all opinions are my own and none of you are entitled to think the same way. I'm telling you my hot takes. You folks (Not necessarily you anon. This is a blanket statement.) however, will not, and I repeat will not come into my DMs, inbox, or other forms of contact trying to attack me after this. If you do so, you will get a big fat block.
Now we begin. I have been in many fandoms, but the fandom I have been in the longest and have been active in the longest is the Avatar: The Last Airbender/The Legend of Korra fandom. So, the two fics I mention are from there.
I am not linking these fics and I am not mentioning authors. That's for you to discover on your own.
I. Embers
The ATLA fandom has a weird obsession with putting Zuko on a pedestal and making him the end-all, be-all for well-written characters to the detriment of both his actual character and the characters around him. I attribute this weird obsession to this fic.
Embers is 700k written from 2009 to 2014 and the author started out fine. That's what makes this worse.
Zuko is a well-written character in the show. Full stop. He is a very good example of what a redemption arc should look like. So, this is not coming from a person who dislikes Zuko as a character. However, I end up disliking Zuko-centric fics because most of them end up like this one: tearing down what ATLA is and who Zuko is just to make Zuko a completely different person. He never owns up to his mistakes and he's so perfect that he might as well be worshipped. Zuko is not perfect. That's what makes him such a good character. To see Embers kind of just make him the wise old man at 16 is very strange to me. Zuko is not Iroh.
Let's start with a smaller bit even though this is a big one lol. The Mai and Zuko relationship (Maiko) is presented as incest in this fic. I mean. Ok? Sure? NO.
There's also a trend in some fics where characters can bend more than one element even when they aren't the Avatar. This started pretty early on in the ATLA fandom, I'll admit, but it became even more popularized in this one. "Dual element benders" cannot exist in the Avatar world. What would the point of the Avatar be then?
The idea that the Fire Nation was actually justified to start a world war and commit the act of genocide toward the Air Nomads can also be attributed to this fic. That's right. You read that right. According to Embers, it was also all Avatar Yangchen's (an Air Nomad) fault. She did something messed up to the big volcano spirits and Zuko as one of the super duper special "dual benders" had to fix it.
Embers is a fic that is written for apologists of imperialism and genocide. It has a lot of Aang bashing in it and it makes the Fire Nation look like the good guys for wiping out an entire race of people. Since Aang is so reduced and belittled by the fic, Zuko 'has to step in' because he's weirdly competent, even though at most he's been out of the palace for three years, and becomes the leader almost immediately. This is an assassination of Zuko's character.
Special Zuko gets redeemed early and he gets special adventures because he's the protagonist and he and his people were totally right all along and everyone else is just so stupid oh no let's murder more defenseless Air Nomad children.
What makes it worse is that these ideas stuck, even the less harmful ones like Zuko's ship being named the Wani.
This fic is the epitome of being tone-deaf, of underlying racism, of the imperial being "superior", and justifying colonialism to "save" the "other".
II. When It's All Over (WIAO)
This fic is particular to the Kataang part of the fandom. I know there are those of you out there just waiting for me to mess up here because I was/am a Kataang writer. Guess what? I don't care :)
WIAO was written during the ATLA Renaissance when ATLA was put back on Netflix while we were all twiddling our thumbs at home hoping we'd survive a global pandemic in the infamous year 2020 till 2021. Like Embers, it started out fine. Then it started devolving. I should probably cut it some slack since we were at the peak of a pandemic and all, but considering there were more fics that came out during that time, I won't give it that.
This fic falls prey to what Embers started, and that is that this version of Zuko does not at all resemble Zuko in the show. He's an amalgam of personality traits from Aang and Iroh. He's suddenly so wise and so all-knowing that the characters come to him for advice, even advice on relationships. Yeah, we're talking about the same guy who didn't even know what to give Mai as a gift, or even how to handle jealousy.
Toward the beginning of the fic, Katara goes to him for advice on Aang, and...I think I should have seen the red flag there but I was too engrossed in a multichapter fic that tackled what happened after Ember Island Players and how Katara and Aang might have felt afterward that I was blinded to the fact that Zuko would not do that. I think on some level, this is why fics like these become so popular. It's long, it's ongoing, and readers are desperate for any and all content as long as it masquerades as their ship. If anything, Katara should have been going to Suki for advice. She was right there lol.
But I digress.
Remember how I said, "readers are desperate for any and all content as long as it masquerades as their ship"? Well, let's delve into that, shall we?
WIAO is supposedly a Kataang fic and starts as that very much. However, the author got it in their mind to keep going. While that isn't necessarily bad, they started to crave the drama that Zutara as a ship has, and that doesn't belong in a fic like this.
We got a take that said, "Kataang is the best! BUT FIRST, let's show the other ships for senseless drama! Just as a treat!" Aang had a brief moment with Toph and the writing described his thoughts a little weirdly and sexually. Then he was suddenly like, "LOL JK."
Then we have Katara checking Zuko out as a "sibling." I could go off on this one. First of all, wondering what someone looks like naked is not sibling behavior. She also imagined kissing him while Zuko was still in a relationship with Mai.
Not to mention there is a whole actual storyline in which Katara doesn't trust Aang anymore when he has to go on surprise Avatar adventures (even though that's his job) and breaks up with him. Also, Aang gets trapped in the Spirit World or something and can't cross a bridge unless he has relations with someone. So. The fic ends with a strange, out-of-place, rated E scene if you catch my drift. So, he and Katara do the deed to cross a bridge and for him to unlock the Avatar State or something idk.
Then you have the Easter eggs which are the least of its problems. It's fine to nod to certain other fandoms and things you like writing, but when it's so obvious that it's jarring and it doesn't make sense in the world you created, why have it in this fic? It was really strange reading Pokemon in the Spirit World, but...that might just be a "me" thing. You be the judge.
Katara is super out of character. She is not the nuanced character from the show who trusts Aang with all her heart to come back. She literally said this in the finale by the way. She checks out Zuko for some reason even though they are "siblings."
Then you have Aang who might even be the worst interpretation of him I've seen especially in a Kataang fic. He is weak-willed, boring, and so dependent on doing what Zuko and Katara tell him to do that he might as well not be the main character.
This fic perpetuates the "Zuko is the only character basically" and became a Zuko fic even though this was supposed to be Kataang, and didn't even do Zuko justice.
And the Kataang in this fic? WOW. This is why other ships hate the Kataang fandom lol. The relationship here is toxic. Katara basically sees Aang as childish. You know how Katara doesn't trust Aang and how Aang listens to her always? That's a toxic relationship.
Katara is needy and insecure and Aang just wants to please her. Katara "fell out of love" with Aang, and that was weird already, but honestly, once they got back together in the fic, I didn't even want them to get back together at that point. I was reading it trying to see what other people saw in this fic and truthfully to this day I do not understand and I don't think I plan to.

I have a couple of older asks that need longer replies, and I’ll try to answer at least one of them tomorrow… but today we have a bunch of shorter ones!
furubatsu asked:
In an ask you answered ages ago, you mentioned how Malleus threw off your Top/Bottom radars at first and I was curious, are there any other characters that made you go "their x! No, wait, y!"
Ooh, good question! The only other character I can think of is Lilia, but he wasn’t as confusing as Malleus: his design threw us off, but the moment Lilia opened his mouth, we figured him out lol
We really very rarely have problems with that, because it’s more about feeling the vibe of a character than anything else.
But Malleus really did confuse us for quite some time…
Anonymous asked:
are you two aware of league of legends? maybe the jhin x hwei dynamic would be interesting…
We know of it, but we aren’t even remotely closely familiar with the lore and stuff, but we actually went and read a bit about Jhin and Hwei after receiving your ask and YEP WE GET IT LOL to be honest we’re flattered that you thought that we might like them… they really do have an interesting dynamic, and the fact that it’s rooted in deep feelings about art and has some much despair and inner and outer conflict honestly makes it very spicy.
And Hwei’s design 👌💖💖💖 instantly love him.
Anonymous asked:
Even though Regina George isn't really fitting for Vil, I bet the in universe rps/rpf community loves casting him as her in Mean Girls AUs and frequently make comments about how Vil should've been cast as her in the musical version and/or remake.
Anon, I 100% agree that the in-universe fandom fancasts him as Regina all the time. He should start asking Mira who is the most “he should’ve played Regina in the musical omg” person in the world lol
But at the same time I feel like this is the reason why Vil doesn’t read comments under his posts sometimes…
Anonymous asked:
One of my favorite 'Kalim Overblots' I've read, we don't even get to see him Overblot.
He overblots after an enemy tricks him into thinking he murdered a comatose Jamil right in front of him, leading him to attacking the 'culprit' in a rage with Oasis Maker and then-
Cut to the aftermath.
There you go, another interesting way to make Kalim overblot! I like how it’s still related to him feeling responsibility + despair because of Jamil’s death, it seems like this is the main trigger for Kalim to get an emotional reaction of this magnitude.
Anonymous asked:
Najma and Jamil are basically siblings who like to mess each other but still love each other. I mean Jamil has a better family relationship to her than his parents. That doesn't mean he doesn't like how she often annoyed him.
Azul will likely try to win Najma over for her to accept her brother's relationship to her. I mean having inlaws together is worst.
Aw this is very sweet. I’m glad Jamil has a sister like that.
God I didn’t even think about the Azul-being-into-Jamil aspect of all of it, oh god this guy is going to annoy Najma too, although for some reason I get the feeling that she’s only going to be nice to Azul to annoy Jamil.
But then again, I can’t say anything concrete about her – haven’t met the girl yet.
Anonymous asked:
IDK why but I really like the idea of Ruggie unintentionally 'stealing' Azul's 'boyfriends'. Like Azul is already upset that Jamil prefers Ruggie over him and then finds Ruggie on top of Idia when he arrives at the Board Game Club room (in reality they fell over and accidentally landed in a compromising position).
Poor Azul, this is going to make him overblot again lol  I like how this is turning into a weird romcom, although with how petty Azul is, it could end up turning into an entirely different kind of anime.

Hello to the anon who sent me this:
Tumblr media
Thank you for your feedback!
I'm very glad you would like to see mroe Legend content and will do my utmost to provide!
also....
I'm afraid you didn't quite get the ask thing, which is okay! What you sent me was a submission instead! Unfortunately, I can't answer submissions, only post them as though they are something of my own, which...I think might have been confusing in this case LOL /pos
My ask box should be a button on my blog that says "Share Your Thunks!" and to use anon, you just have to hit the toggle at the bottom of the ask box
Tumblr media
or if you're not directly on my blog
Tumblr media
(it's blue when you're on anon!)
I hope this helps in future! /pos

Have you ever watched Legends of Oz. If you haven’t it’s fine (literally no one either knows what is is or likes it). But there is a character called the Jester in it that I think you might take a liking to. Idk kinda seemed like your type lol🫠

i haven't had the pleasure of watching the Legends of Oz movie, but with this fella right here, i may well have to 👀 after he's voiced by the legendary Martin Short, AKA Preminger!! i'm very charmed by how goofy and evil the Jester is...doesn't hurt that he's tied up a beautiful lady...thank you so much for sending this f/o suggestion my way, i'll update you once i've watched the movies!!! 🥰💖
