feeling insane. the best way i can possibly describe how i characterise hari and why i hate how canon made him so inactive and prioritised love as the greatest strength etc. is that hari tried that, tried to do it by the book and get traditional justice an doing everything properly when he stopped sirius and remus killing wormtail. and that choice singularly led to him losing everything including his surrogate father. and i truly don't think he could ever let himself forget that.

#i went on tik tok and now i feel insane bc. im sure voldy woulda come back somehow.#but it would have taken far longer. it would have been different. sirius wouldnt have been trapped in grimmauld #i simply fundamentally think that. maybe it didn't jade him right there and then. but by the time the war is in full force???#tbd.#i think there is always an element of relative morality to hari. hes fine w lying and stealing to the dursleys bc its how to survive #but the result of letting wormtail live just bc it's technically good even though it wasn't right changed everything
