I think it’d be really funny if before he became Robin, Tim saw Batman doing some shit he didn’t like and was like, “Hmm, gotta fix that.”
Then went about it in the most-annoying-kid way possible.
Like, Tim sees Batman send Robin home even though Jason wasn’t sick (he would know) and didn’t have a test (he’d know this too). So the next morning, he skateboards up to Wayne Manor when he knows Jason is at school, Alfred is doing a grocery run, and Bruce is most likely trying to catch up on sleep.
He rings the doorbell seven times.
Bruce watches on a security monitor after being woken up as his neighbor’s kid ding dong ditches him and then takes off down the driveway on his skateboard. He’s so baffled by it that he doesn’t even ask himself why the kid isn’t in school.
This happens four more times before Bruce makes the connection and thinks, “This has something to do with Batman.”
#Bats has a ‘fight’ with Nightwing to test a theory#and then the next day Tim’s entire soul leaves his body when he goes to ring Bruce’s doorbell#and Batman answers the door before he can touch the button#I think the idea of pranking your neighbor and then having to run down two miles of driveway is endlessly hilarious#Tim drake#Bruce Wayne#Batman#batfam

Rediscovered
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Pairing: Levi x f!reader
Content: Modern AU, SFW
Content Warnings: None, they’re just two people who love to spend time with each other.
Description: Levi rediscovers love and all the things that make it so special. He gets to know you, his new next door neighbor, and you help him see what causes lovers to do so much for one another.
Word Count: 3.7k
A/N: I’m sorry I made you wait so long, if you even stuck around this long lol. I was burnt out and I ran out of ideas to write. I couldn’t think of what to write for my series that I started then dumped, so I went on a break. This is what i’ve been working on for a little and it’s not the best if I’m being honest, but I did want to put something out for the first time in a while. Enjoy! :)
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Levi who thinks love is a waste of time and money. He thinks, what the hell is a month-iversary? And why is it even a thing? He would never spend more than three dollars on chocolates, and that’s a stretch already. What kind of person needs an enormous stuffed bear on their bed in addition to just regular pillows? Why does everything have to be so physical? Personal space is sacred.
That is until he experiences the strongest sugar rush he’s had in almost two years. It seemed like some vicious prank played on him by the universe.
You walked into the apartment next to Levi’s, carrying a box that was a little less than half your size. The moving van you rented was parked nearby so that you didn’t have to travel long distances to move your boxes. Levi noticed that despite you having an entire moving van, there wasn’t much loaded into it. Maybe another four boxes, but that’s all he could see. Maybe your stay was only temporary.
It took you some time to introduce yourself. Not because you were trying to be antisocial, but because you didn’t know if it was normal to knock on your neighbor’s door and introduce yourself, instead of doing the usual run-in quick introduction.
Levi was nice enough. He didn’t say much, mostly listened to your quick presentation. The handshake was what got him, though. His formal façade almost cracked when you extended your hand to him. He held it together for the sake of professionalism, but deep down he felt like a father meeting his daughter’s boyfriend for the first time.
“Well, don’t be a stranger,” you said, a lovely smile on your face as you turned and went back into your new home. It was such a corny thing to say, but he couldn’t find it in himself to be annoyed when you smiled at him like that. It would be a crime in some other universe.
It had been a while since Levi had a next-door neighbor. The apartment was vacant for a good six months before you. Now, he could hear life just a few feet away. You blasted music really late into the night, and in all honesty, it got on his nerves.
On one night when work tore down his thin wall of patience, he came home hoping to get some much needed rest. By the time he reached the stairs that led to your and his apartment, he could hear your music fighting the walls. He rung the doorbell, hoping the sound would get to your ears despite the loudness surrounding your home. He was fed up with everything and couldn’t handle another night of this. You must have heard the doorbell because your music paused a few seconds later.
You looked cozy when you opened the door. “Hi, Levi.” You smile that smile that continues to flatter him. “Is there something I can help you with?”
His mind is racking up a polite response. He just wants to be in bed already.
“Yes, actually. The walls are surprisingly thin on these apartments, and i’m sure you aren’t really playing your music too loud, but I was wondering if you could turn it down a bit.” He puts his hands in his pockets, suddenly feeling like an old man interrupting a high school party.
Your face drops and you look like you just disturbed a sleeping puppy.
“I’m sorry about that.” You sounded sincere— adorably so. “I’ll turn it off. I wasn’t aware of the thinness of the walls, but i’m so sorry you had to ask.”
Your kindness was refreshing. You weren’t like his last neighbor. Levi and him didn’t interact much, but when they did, it was a mutually awkward ‘hey’.
“Don’t worry about it.” Levi sighs. “Sorry i’m here wasting your time. It’s just been an especially… testing day for me, and I just want to get some rest.”
“Don’t apologize. I completely understand.” You open the door more so that not just half of your body is peeking out of the doorway.
Levi gets a look at your full outfit. You looked like a bear with your oversized wool hoodie and your baggy pajama pants and your dog slippers. Oh. You have dog slippers on.
“Well, I should be going now. I don’t want to stand in the way of whatever you were doing. Thanks for understanding.” Levi was trying so hard to get out of there. There was a poking in his chest that he had to look into.
“Do you like tea?” You asked. Levi seemed distracted to you, but you thought maybe it was the tiredness taking a toll on his ability to think.
“I do. Why do you ask?”
“Would you like to join me for a cup? It usually helps me relax when I come home after train wrecks of days.”
He didn’t need a reason to get closer to you, but he definitely was not going to turn you down. Especially when you’re giving him a regimen for the stress.
—
You both sat on lawn chairs, sipping on a steaming cup of tea. Levi knows only one person who knows their way around a cup of tea and that’s himself. That night, the number went up to two.
“I know it sounds bad when I don’t give you context about the people they are, but you just have to trust me on this one.” You talked Levi’s ear off about your reason for moving to a whole different state to get away from your parents.
“Whatever they did to you, it must have been terrible if you had to move so far,” Levi takes a sip of his tea. He had no bad judgement towards you. Even though he gets along with his mother and he’s never met his father, he’s human enough to understand that not all relationships with parents and their children are good.
“Yeah.” You stare straight ahead into the nightly activities going on in front of you. You didn’t mean to trauma dump on this man you haven’t known for long enough. It happened, though, and he didn’t run or tell you he was uncomfortable. He stayed and listened through and through.
“So, what was so awful about your day that you had to shut down my solo party?” You smiled. It let him know that you were just teasing when you laughed a little.
He rolled his eyes, the frustration returning to him in a short burst as he recalled his irritating day.
“The people I work with are annoying and lazy. They need constant delegations. I understand that I’m supposed to manage the team, but how will they grow if I always have to tell them what to do?”
Your eyes widen in disbelief. You sympathize for Levi. He seems like he really cares about his job, but also like he needs a vacation.
“I get that. Have you thought about working with another team?” You chuckle. “I swear that’s not me telling you to give up on the one you have, but at some point you have to put your own sanity first. Maybe a change in leadership would help them, and a change in teamwork would help you.”
There’s a moment of total silence, and you think what will follow is him telling you that you overstepped. The silence is broken by the sound of a quiet breath leaving his lips as a chuckle. You never noticed how little Levi smilesd until now. It’s actually a really warm sight, and his eyes crease at the corners, which makes your heart flutter.
“I don’t think that was too helpful.” You chuckle, setting your empty cup down on the floor.
“No, that was some really good advice. Thanks.”
You nod, glad to know that he wasn’t going to insult your thoughts.
The silence returns again, both of you just staring out into the abyss. It wasn’t awkward, even thought both of you had already finished your cups of tea and it was getting later. Stores were closing down for the day, their neon signs powering down to let the night grow.
“I should go home. It’s late,” Levi says, once again breaking the welcomed silence. He starts standing and offers you your cup back, empty. “I appreciate your time and the tea.”
“Ring my doorbell anytime, please. I’m happy to tell scary stories over a cup of tea.” You pick up your cup before standing.
“Well, goodnight,” Levi says, a shy smile on his face. His hands return to his pockets as he heads over to his house.
“Sleep well,” you respond, before shutting your door.
Levi laid awake for longer than he hoped he would. He could still feel that pokey feeling in his chest and it was no use looking it up like he set himself out to because he knew exactly what was it was. He mentally cursed himself for feeling this way about you so quickly. You were kind, and pretty, and you said sorry and meant it.
Levi rolled onto his side, a heavy sigh leaving him as he attempted to sleep.
—
It became a habit of yours to check the mirror thoroughly now before you left your apartment, a similar routine for Levi. He would smell the collar of his shirt before leaving. Your hello’s were almost synchronized every time you ran into each other, shy smiles decorating your faces. Your ability of not knowing when to stop talking greatly developed over time.
Sometimes your anticipation got the better of you. You would doll yourself up a little more than usual, only to be let down by his absence. It made you feel like an idiot, and you almost always went back in and dressed down.
Then, it finally happened.
Levi was coming home after another long day at work. You sat outside staring at the chaotic traffic down the street, a warm blanket on your lap.
“Hey, did something happen over there?” You ask, pointing at the line of red taillights.
“There was a car accident. Someone crashed into a fire hydrant and it’s currently a fountain that hasn’t been fixed. People are nosy so it’s taking a while to kill the traffic.” He climbs the last stair and stands next to you, his back against the windows of your apartment. You were watching the angry drivers as they tried to swerve into faster moving lanes.
“What are you doing here on a Friday night? No plans with friends or anyone?”
You shake your head. “Nope. My friends wanted to go to a club, but I don’t think I can handle the auditory overload tonight.”
He nods, acknowledging the truth in your statement. “What about dinner?”
“They didn’t mention anything about that. They usually go to whatever is open and nearby once they’re drunk off their asses at four in the morning.” Your hands ball up in your sweater’s pockets in an attempt to find warmth for your icy fingers.
“I’m asking you. Have you had dinner?” He directs his gaze towards you, meeting your eyes.
“No, I haven’t. I was just gonna heat up some leftovers.”
“Would you like to have dinner…” he hesitates for a second or two, “…with me?”
“Yes.” You think you answered too quickly, but your justification for it was not wanting to waste any more time. “I’ll be back out here in ten minutes. No more no less.” You stand and wrap your heavy blanket around you like a cape and turn your head to the right all regally as you head into the direction of your home.
Levi thought that was easy enough, but he wouldn’t get his hopes up. It wasn’t brought up as a date, so it’s just dinner.
Like you said, you were out in exactly ten minutes and you now donned something that matched Levi’s formal wear. You knew at some point you would get uncomfortable in the dress you chose, so you brought a backup outfit. A much comfier one.
“I stay true to my word, but I’m also very considerate. I won’t let you walk around looking like a penguin without looking like a tablecloth myself.”
You looked nothing like a tablecloth in Levi’s eyes. You were amazing, glowing in the midst of darkness. He had to look for the calm, stoic man inside him in order to stop himself from saying something stupid.
“I hope I didn’t make you feel obligated to dress up.”
The calm and stoic man was no help. He feared he made you self conscious when you started second guessing your outfit.
“Is it too much?” You looked for you jacket in the folded pile of clothes you held.
“No. You’re fine. I-It’s fine.” Thank the stars for the low amount of visibility, because Levi couldn’t contain the rouge spreading throughout his face. “I know a really nice place. It’s about a twenty minute drive, but it’s worth it.”
“Dealer’s choice. I’m up for anything with you.” That could easily be read differently. “I mean, anywhere is fine is… what I mean.”
What kind of malfunction was happening between both of you?
“After you,” Levi said, his hand aimed at the stairs.
You smile and lead, not having a clue where his car is.
—
When you got to the restaurant, you saw how luxurious it was. It was glowing brightly, and there were chandeliers that had both tiny and large crystals on them. You turned to Levi, a nervous look on your face. “Levi, we can’t eat dinner here.”
“Why not?” He asked.
“I can’t afford something this fancy.” It was kind of embarrassing to admit, but you figured he knew this already by the clothes you wore in contrast to his.
“You really think I’m such a trash person to make you pay?”
“I don’t know, but I didn’t want to assume you would be paying for my food. That would make me a trash person.”
He shakes his head, turning his car off.
“Come on. We’re going.”
“But-“
“We’re going,” he repeats. “Plus, I think it’ll be amusing if you go in wearing that nice dress and then leave wearing those pajama pants.”
You chuckle at his insistence, finding it hard to keep the argument going when his reasoning was so strong.
—
Dinner was what you expected. Not totally awkward, but there were times when you had to look around at other people or things because you ran out of things to say. You felt especially nervous because you had to sit right across from Levi. He constantly watched you, wanting to know what you thought of the food, and how you felt about this time you were spending together.
“How was your meal?” Levi asks. You felt like his eyes were luring the answer out of you, the way they held contact with yours.
“It was so fuckin’ good.” You laugh. “I mean, it was really good. Thank you.”
“I believe you. Didn’t I tell you it was good?”
You nod, fiddling with the fork sitting on your empty plate.
“Let me know when you’re ready to go. I’m ready when you are.”
“I’m gonna go change. I’ll meet you in the car?”
He nods, standing when you do. You notice that he leaves a huge tip in the booklet holding the check before he heads out. It really makes you wonder what Levi does for a living to give him that privilege.
—
You knew you would be judged by everyone for what you were wearing. You received stares left and right, even some double takes as soon as you left the restroom. You had to hold it together, hold back the laughter when you saw a whole table simultaneously look at you.
Once you got out, Levi popped out from beside the door in time to watch your laughter explode.
“Everybody was watching you, huh?” A smirk creeps onto his face, like you both just pulled off the ultimate heist.
“Jeez, Levi! You can’t just pop out of a corner like that in the middle of the night.” Your heart pounds in your ears, your breath slowly making its way into your lungs again.
“Sorry. I wanted to make sure you got to the car safely.”
“Well, I guess I can’t be mad at you for that. Let’s go back. I’m exhausted.”
Your heart races at the thought of him staying back to make sure nobody hurt you. It’s like he cares about you. He doesn’t want you to die. That’s nice.
—
During the car ride, you introduced Levi to some of your music. He was much more into the calmer picks, deeming the random scream-o songs you have too aggressive. You told him that one day you want to go to a rave, and he said you were going to get trampled.
Once you got home, you both climbed the stairs that led you to your apartments. Levi didn’t want to end the night without giving you something to think about, but he wasn’t ready to admit that he liked you. A lot.
“Levi, Levi,” your smile grows. “Do you always take random girls out for dinner like that?”
“No,” he answered, simply.
“Okay, what I meant to ask is, do you always take random girls out for dinner at super high-end restaurants? Feel free to answer honestly,” you chuckle.
Again, “no.”
“Then what? Did you just see that I was starving and pitied me enough to buy me something to eat?” You’re pulling questions out of your ass to sway your mind from the idea you’re getting based on his responses.
“I don’t pity you, and no.”
“Then why did you buy me dinner?”
He can feel the blood pumping in his veins. His hands and feet feel staticky, like they’re numb.
“Did you not want me to buy you dinner?”
“You can’t answer a question with a question.” Your arms cross, impatience surfacing your mind.
“I just did, didn’t I?”
He was being annoying, in a rather attractive way. Levi could tell you just wanted an answer, but he didn’t want to tell you. He didn’t want to, but he couldn’t stand the thought of there always being tension between you and him.
“I think you’re nice.”
It was cute, the way he was unable to look at your after what he said. It was such a simple sentence. Four words that had you feeling fuzzy.
“You think i’m nice?” You can’t say it seriously, an uncontrollable smile playing on your lips.
He can only nod, scared that he’ll elaborate on how nice you are if he says a word.
“Well, I think you’re weird and annoying.”
This had him wondering what he did wrong. What made him weird? He knows that not answering your question must have been annoying, but really, you had him stunned with that one.
“You’re also very nice, though. I’ve enjoyed our little encounters and your company tonight.”
Now that, that made him feel like he was bathing in the sun. Would he have preferred you not call him weird and annoying? No. It was so like you to say something like that.
He finds himself getting drawn in by you. You’ve bewitched him. It’s the only explanation for why he’s getting closer.
“I think you’re nice.” He takes another step.
“You said that. You must really believe it,” you reply, getting more nervous by the second.
“I do.” He takes one of your hands in his. You see him look down at it, a sly grin on his face.
“What?” You ask when he continues examining your hand.
“Your hand is so sweaty.”
You pull it back a little, not expecting him to hold it firmly.
“Why are you still holding it?”
“It only seems right that I hold your hand before anything else. Even if it’s sweaty. Am I making you nervous?”
You felt like screaming through the silence. Your heart was racing like it was going to beat out of your chest and your hands were shaking in his hold.
“I had a good time, too. I wouldn’t mind being your backup plan again, and taking you out for dinner is something I would like to do again in the future.”
“I want you to kiss me.”
The words sounded so wrong outside of your thoughts. You thought there would be a drumroll for them. Maybe you telling him that you think he’s beautiful, or even roughly telling him he’s attractive. But, no. You dove right in because you wanted to see what he would do with this information.
“You’re pretty straight forward, huh?”
“I’ve been waiting. Days, weeks, months, years.” You laugh, realizing how ridiculous you sound.
“We’ve only known each other a little over two months. How could you have waited years?”
“Did you not hear what I said? I want you to kiss me.” You look him in the eyes, trying to read the wonderful look on his face. “Kiss me or say goodnight.” It was an ultimatum for the end of the night.
“I don’t want to say goodnight,” he says, his voice quieter.
That gave him one other option, and he immediately went for it. It was a kiss that brought the stars in the sky down to your eyes. His hands rested on your waist, while yours went up to cup his face. You would be lying if you said you were going to sleep afterwards, because this is what you’ve been dreaming of. It’s happening, and you don’t need to dream about it anymore.
“Goodnight, Levi,” you mutter, a hazy smile on your face. You put your hand on his chest, feeling his heartbeat to see if this kiss invoked the same feelings for him as it did for you.
“Not yet, please.” He pulled you in for another kiss, this one being longer. He had you running out of breath every time he brought you close. You loved seeing that sparkle in his eyes every time you pulled away.
“Goodnight, Levi,” you repeated, this time escaping his hold.
“Fine, goodnight.”
You waved as you headed into your apartment, Levi walking the couple feet it took to get to his apartment afterwards.
That night he went to sleep with you on his mind until his eyes shut for good.
Levi was starting to get it. He saw you and finally understood why things are so love-filled in relationships. Why you go the extra mile to please your partner, even if it’s something small like buying them chocolates. He finally got to experience the satisfying feeling that came with kissing you goodnight. It was a rush of emotions that laid dormant in him for a while, and the rediscovery of them was amazing, especially with you.

Mari's Home
Your name is Sunny, and you are home alone. Two years before, your sister Mari passed away. The official story is that she commit suicide. You know the truth though. You pushed her down the stairs, and your friend Basil suggested setting it up as a suicide, so you wouldn't get in trouble.
It is late at night, and you are home alone. Your parents are out of town for councling. You are a big boy though. Fourteen is a good age to stay being on your own. That's what you're dad told you before they left, at least.
You are sitting on your bed, just thinking, or more like trying not to think. Your room is dim. Only lit by your yellow nightlight across the room. It's of an old yellow cartoon cat from your childhood.
Suddenly, the nightlight blinks out, and the whole house goes still. You freeze.
What could have happened? Your nightlight never just blinked out like that. This was definitely out of the ordinary.
You get up off your bed and step out of your room. The only light is the pale light of the moon, filtering through the window. Great. Must be a blackout. Usually, lights from the neighbors house would be filtering in, along with the moonlight.
Suddenly, you hear a knock at your front door. You turn slowly, looking down the stairs at the door that separates this room from the living room. You dread going down to check who it is.
As you hesitate, there is another knock. Whoever it is, they knock three knocks and then go silent. Just like everyone in your neighborhood. Almost like it's a custom or something.
Dread wells up in you, but you try to push it down. You slowly creep down the stairs and entere the living room. Another knock. They must have heard you. This time though, whoever it is called out, and your blood runs cold.
"Sunny! It's me, Mari! Hurry up and open the door. It's cold out here. I forgot my key, too."
You freeze and start to cry. It couldn't possibly be your sister. She died. Is this someone pulling a cruel prank on you? You inch closer and try to look into the keyhole.
You quickly realize that was a dumb idea. Modern doorknobs don't have keyholes that you can peer through.
There's another knock. "Come on Sunny. I know you're there. Let me in."
You reach for the doorknob, and then your hand drops from fear. You are now hyperventilating. This can't be real.
Suddenly there is another, much more forceful knock. Whoever it is knocked so hard that the door shook on its hinges.
You are afraid that the person on the other side of the door might damage the door, so you try to steady yourself, and you reach out for the doorknob, hand trembling.
There is another extremely forceful knock at the door. You feel the door shudder this time. You close your eyes, and you turn the doorknob and fling it open.
You open your eyes to see...nothing. No one is there.
You close the door, and turn around.
There, standing before you is Mari. Her head is cocked to the side, only one of her eyes showing through her hair. She is wearing the white dress she was wearing the day of your argument.
You freeze, unsure what to do. You feel the front of your pants grow warm, as Mari looks at you.
"Why Sunny? Why? Why did you kill me? Why? Why? Why?! WHY DID YOU KILL ME?! I LOVED YOU AND YOU KILLED ME! WHY! WHY! WHY! WHY!" Mari's mouth opens wider as she screams at you, opening unhumanly wide.
You sprint towards your room, whispers filling the house. You can't see anything. It shouldn't be this dark. There's no way it could be this dark.
You continue running. Much longer than it should take you to get to the stairs. It feels like you've been running for hours, pounding footsteps following you.
As you run, you suddenly fall. Down you go, tumbling over and over. As you fall, there is a red glow around you. Hands reaching out towards you, from...Mari...
Her head is still tilted to the side, her mouth and eye a gaping holes. A silent scream coming from her mouth. There is no sound, though. Not from her, no rushing wind, nothing.
As you fall, you look down and see stairs. You hit them and start tumbling down, feeling immense pain. You get to the bottom, only to land on shards of broken glass. You lay there, your body broken and bleeding, your consciousness fading, when you wake up.
You are sitting against the wall, sweating profusely, and you wet your pants. You sit there in disbelief, afraid not to move.
When you finally do move, you don't feel the expected pain. You look down, expecting to see glass and blood everywhere, but all you can see is the stain on the front of your pants.
Was it all a dream?

KHR Questions for OCs and Muses:
H, A, R, U
From meme: [x] ||Accepting|| @arealmunited
H: how well/decently/poorly would their life go if they were genuinely lambo and i-pin's age.
I think Haru's life would've been fine, because in that case she's just a little kid probably doing chaotic lil Haru things. She's probably running around playing and having fun and would stay out of the Vongola trouble. Though... if she were to become friends with Lambo and I-pin? Then there is a chance she'd get involved then, but I do think she would've been mostly safe.
Bonus, my fc for young Haru.
A: what happens if they get shot in the forehead with the dying will bullet?
We've seen in canon that she went and ate her fill of cakes, but as I write her currently... hm... a part of me feels that her dying will resolve would be something involving that she wished she had actually point blank confronted Tsuna at least once about her feelings and how she never really got closure for anything. (At least, in the way that I right her, I have it set that she moved on and didn't really say anything so she never got true closure).
[R I moved to the end bc I simply wanted to put it under the readmore bc Haru demanded it and otherwise I may shrivel up]
U: would they also keep non-mafia people they care for/are close to aware of anything major or dangerous happening?
None of her school friends would know anything much, because it's not her place to speak on anything. The only ones who are liable to find out anything would be her parents. Now, from the TYL arc, it does seem to be implied that Haru and Kyoko led mostly normal lives and had no real idea about the whole Mafia thing- so in that case, there is a very strong possibility that if there was no real reason for her to become more intimately aware of the Mafia, there would be no one for her to tell.
However, is she were to become more intimately aware of the mafia either from becoming more involved herself (post canon after TYL arc) or because she started dating someone within the mafia... then she would tell her parents eventually because they deserve to know. It would certainly be a tough conversation to have, but this stubborn bean will somehow come out victorious.
R: if they got Skullitis... what deep, dark secrets come out... ?
Hm... because I understand it to be that the skulls will blurt out things consciously and subconsciously she's ashamed of-- for a few examples
[A boy snuck a caterpillar into my food as a prank once. Haru fainted and her mom had to pick her up.] <- Why she doesn't like caterpillars and why I like to believe she goes to an all girl's school.
[Haru once woke up from a dream to find herself kissing a stuffed lion doll.] <- She was mortified by how embarrassing that was. Yes, implies it was a dream of Tsuna.
[Two times, Tsuna-san has seen Haru's underwear and they were not cute underwear days, so she started wearing shorts underneath her skirt] <- Haru said 'third time is not the charm here'. She needs to be smarter about climbing down a cliff side or climbing up a pole. Just lil young teenage girl embarrassing moments, yanno?
[When I was young, I ran away from home, in the bush of one of the neighbors and got stuck.] <- My silly headcanon for why a realtor lady was like wao okay, let's find you a place to 'run away' to when you need to.
[One time, while out with her friends, Haru saw Tsuna-san and Kyoko-chan on the streets. A friend asked 'isn't that your boyfriend'? I lied.] <- I mean- that's not an easy thing to admit, hm? Weighs on her that she lied and I think that should count for a Skullitis thing.
The examples of Skullitis show that the skulls speak in first person, but Haru has the tendency to speak in third, therefore I chose to make them speak in third.

childe scenario – after the golden house
you, an ex-fatui executive, decide against your better judgment and tend to the wounds of the near-dead 11th harbinger following his duel at the golden house. spoilers for the 1.1 archon quest.
gender-neutral reader. enemies to lovers soft spot syndrome. sfw, but contains mentions of blood/injury. also childe briefly in foul legacy armor. canon-divergence. 2669 words (nice).
with the fatui’s nails so deep into the city, staying in liyue probably wasn’t your brightest idea in retrospect.
you blame your sentimentality of liyue on the exact same thing that caused you to leave the fatui in the first place: wanting to live without fear. while the fatui treated you well enough, as you were considerably efficient in your ranks, being part of a partially underground, partially illegal business wasn’t exactly the most liberating practice either. it didn’t take long for you to realize that, behind their scheming and pretenses of fair economics, the fatui would have their underlings wound so incredibly tight around their fingers that their violent tasks would rapidly become suffocating.
that is, once you were in the fatui, getting out would be akin to scaling qingyun peak with one arm tied behind your back.
the only reason you were able to? because you ran. you were desperate for a new life, sure, but also you weren’t below realizing when something was out of the question. it took a few months to shake them off your trail, having to move constantly between fontaine and mondstadt, but you finally settled in liyue.
it was a quiet, peaceful city. the governing body was fair enough with its jurisdictions, and after a year of hiding, you were able to enjoy the lantern rite festival without fear.
that is, until the northland bank sat its obnoxious ass down the street.
archons, really, once you found a place you thought was safe enough, you’d have to start moving again. initially, you reasoned that it had been over a year, and that the fatui surely wouldn’t go hunting for a runaway executive. hell, you weren’t even that high on the ladder. however, a few run-ins with scaramouche and pulcinella had left you paranoid enough that, if they spotted you, they would surely put an end to your traitorism.
honestly, you should’ve ratted them out to the knights of favonius while you were in mondstadt. make a quick bargain, have jean toss a few coins your way, and you would be set. it would’ve definitely been worth the trouble, now with the knowledge that the fatui were your neighbors.
now, there’s no time to dwell on what you could’ve done. it’s either run again, or hold your ground right under the fatui’s nose. you might, sort of, maybe, probably do not have the funds to move for the third time in a row, but maybe counting couldn’t hurt –
no, yeah, it hurts, you grimace as you slide the coin bag back in your bedside drawer. outside, it’s dark, and the sky seems a bit more disturbed than usual. it isn’t usually overcast in liyue, and the blue lightning does nothing to quell your unease. the streets are also empty, but lights illuminate each building.
from your window, a quick glance towards the northland bank reveals to you that it is uncharacteristically dark. no lanterns, no lights. you frown, troubled that the individuals you were so alert to monitoring, had a lifeless stronghold. not typical of them at all.
so, you decide while your long-time enemies are plotting (or whatever they’re doing that prompts them to close an entire bank for), now might be the best time to potentially make a run for it, light coin bag be damned.
hastily, you rid your apartment of personal belongings by unceremoniously shoving them into your bag. if it’s one thing you were grateful for in this world, it’s archon magic. you don’t fuss over the science behind it, but whatever made your bag feel like a bottomless pit was an actual life-saver. packing is extremely efficient with it, and in less than fifteen minutes, you’re ready to go.
all that’s left is to write a thank-you note to the liyuen couple who let you stay while their son was out exorcising. at the time, they assured you that you would be no trouble for you to take up a guest room, but nonetheless you tried to pay them with whatever you had left over after commissions.
you grab a writing utensil, still feeling a bit rude to leave on such short notice, and swear to yourself that you’ll visit in the future. for good measure (after sullenly looking into your coin bag), you leave an acceptable(-ish) amount of mora on your former bed.
all right. now, time to leave, with your foot out the door and wind scratching at your face, as if the odd overhead weather wasn’t already an omen.
you’re barely past liyue harbor, headed towards the luhua pools, when a comet shoots above you past mount tianheng. no, not a comet, you realize as it dips from the sky, headed for landfall around a kilometer away. a comet of water?
if a dead northland bank wasn’t the nail in the coffin, this surely is. you’ve been around enough in the fatui to know that whatever fell from the sky has to be the work of a vision user, or some more powerful being. turning towards where you estimate to be the crash site, you weigh your options. you’re already outside of the city, and the fatui are probably preoccupied. you can manage a detour for now and inspect the hydro-apparition. regardless, you deem that the farther away you are from the water you are, the safer you might be from what’s about to happen – you look back towards liyue harbor, and nearly shudder at the rising tide and choppy waves.
after about fifteen minutes of walking in the rain, you find yourself between the slope of the dunyu ruins and mount tianheng. it’s vacant, save for the weathered ruins, and a sizable crater meters wide. cautiously, you approach the edge, summoning your sword with one hand and conjuring your vision in the other. you’re not going to let curiosity kill the cat, especially not if this turns out to be a prank by the archons.
in the center of the mess is, well, another mess. you blink a few times, wary, as you discern that an individual lies in the rubble. they’re actually conscious, you soon find out, as they righten themselves from the fetal position into a kneel, supporting their body weight with their arms. their body is covered head-to-foot in dark, purple armor, and a red mask with a broken, center orb gleams faintly in the night.
it is only when you the individual looks up at you, straight at your head, do you realize that you should not be here this was a bad idea –
and then they collapse.
“shit,” you murmur to yourself, vision still pulsing in your palm, which has become increasingly sweaty. you step back from the edge as an orb of water surrounds the armored-being, encasing him like a cocoon, before dissipating to reveal a much more vulnerable, tired man underneath. his hair is matted to his face from the rain, yet a much smaller mask rests on his eyes; his clothes are somewhat torn (you suspect that whatever had happened, his armor absorbed most of the damage), and you can very faintly see his chest heave.
but, ah, speaking of his clothes,
they were the colors of the fatui.
“no, no, bad idea,” you tell yourself over and over again, sword put away yet vision still bouncing in your hands. you walk away from the crater briefly, before walking towards it again, peaking down to check on the fallen man, and then scamper back. the whole idea was to run away, not go straight to them, as if you had managed to doom yourself after all.
pacing back and forth, you contemplate for another minute. he’s clearly injured, with how he’s laying on the ground and not moving, so the nice, not-so-hardened part of you wants to help him. if he was a regular civilian, surely you’d already be down there and trying to take him back to liyue and patch him up, but he’s with the enemy. no way someone who can transform into armor is just an underling, so he’s probably someone exceptionally powerful –
“i see you,” a voice comes from the crater, and your vision nearly explodes in your hands from your nerves. summoning your sword quicker than you ever have in your life, you steel yourself towards the bottom of the crater.
except, he’s not holding a weapon to your face, or threatening to skewer you into a million pieces. except, he’s not scowling at you, or demanding you assist him at once before he blows something up.
instead, he’s on his knees. looking up at you with the desperation of a man completely robbed, crippled from something he can’t speak of yet wants to scream about. his eyes, now free from the mask, pierce into you with a vividness that could rival the richest hues of luhua, and archons damn it do you melt.
you melt, and realize you should run away. you melt, all while cursing yourself, that this man might not be so kind as to spare you in the future, when he’s back at his full health. you melt, thinking that, well, you haven’t seen him before, so maybe he doesn’t know who you are either. you melt, even as you extinguish your vision and put away your sword, and slide to the bottom of the crater to lug his limp body back to the top, to the shelter of the ruins, and rummage through your bag for medicine.
he hasn’t said anything for the past ten minutes, and you’re thankful that there’s finally someone from the fatui who can keep their mouth shut, even if this is half-beaten to death. “you’re not dying on me,” you insist, as if your words could will him back to full consciousness. “not when i’m risking my life for someone like you.”
as you work on bandaging his arm, out of the corner of your eye you swear you see his mouth twitch. is he trying to speak? no, you want some silence for a bit longer, but pause as you notice a gash on his torso.
“this is medically consensual, okay?” you wait two seconds to see if he objects, before unbuttoning the lower part of his coat and applying pressure on the wound. the blood has soaked through his clothes, and just as eagerly, seeps into the cloth you’re shoving against it. the man stirs as you continue to clean his wounds, and when his eyes open, you’re too preoccupied with your short supply of towels to notice.
when you’re aware of a gaze on you, however, you turn towards him with a hardened face. you already know what you’re going to say. even if he doesn’t know who you are, you’re going to make it clear that, for your own satisfaction, you won’t help him back to liyue and he’ll have to make the walk himself.
“you were out there,” you say simply, motioning towards the crater with a nod of your head. “i’ll patch you up, but you’ll have to get further help yourself.”
the man with eyes of the deep regards you, but you busy yourself by applying gauze. he’s propped up against a pillar, and you’re crouching at his side. when you’re about finished, only then do you meet his eyes.
he beats you to whatever you’re about to say. “i didn’t think,” he starts, and you’re already frowning, “that you’d come back.”
ah, referencing when you practically left him in the crater. his words are vague enough when he says that you ‘came back’ that you aren’t too tense, and you indulge him in a bit of silence before responding. “not like i’m used to rescuing people who fall from the sky.”
despite his injuries, the man manages a laugh. he seems almost flustered at your statement, although you can’t understand why. underneath his soaked bangs, his eyebrows rise, and he seems almost . . . nervous? you can’t possibly fathom as to why, but dismiss your curiosity. the more small talk he coerces you into, the longer you’ll spend with him.
you finish sealing the gauze, tossing the roll back into your bag before commanding it to disappear. blood has soaked into the ground at his sides, also you’re sure that it’ll was away with time. you’re about to stand up, satisfied with your good-samaritan duties for the day, when he stops you by locking his fingers around your wrist.
he’s in the middle of saying something, but you refuse to let him, drawing your sword and pointing it directly at his throat, his mouth agape as he releases his hold on you. you consider each other, and when you’re certain you have the upper hand, you draw your line.
you spit the words like venom. “do not touch me, fatui. i’ve done what i can for you, and you won’t be getting anything else from me.”
your blade doesn’t lower from his form, and as you stand above him, you regard his hands, as if he might summon his own weapons in an instant. if he’s smart (which you think he is yet simultaneously pray he isn’t), he’s probably plotting how to get out of your sword’s reach. you’re not going to let him, after you’ve been so self-sacrificing, putting your life on the line for someone affiliated with the organization that suffocated the life out of you.
a tilt of the head, yet silence from his mouth. he seems surprised that, while you allowed him to laugh mere moments earlier, you’re now pointing your weapon at him, although something in the ease of his facial features tells you that he’s not concerned in the slightest.
“i wanted to say thank you,” he breathes finally, and you look as if he’d just punched you in the gut. “being in your position probably isn’t easy, and i’m the last one you wanted to see, but you still . . . ”
fuck, no, not this. you don’t know if he’s a prophet, if he knows who you really are, or the ‘i’m on the run’ stamp on your forehead is that obvious, but you aren’t going to fall for the fatui’s words. your fists clench, and you once more prepare to denounce his organization,
and you’re disarmed in an instant, sword thrown to the side and fingers restricted by his larger grasp. archons, you couldn’t even see him move, what a deceptive bastard, feigning injury –
“stop,” he hushes, and despite your fury you register it as a plea, not a command. the man repeats himself, before continuing, “we won’t haunt you any more; i’ll make sure of it.”
five seconds, then ten. you had determined that his grip was too strong to break free of, and are left in no position to move unless he releases you. he holds your gaze without a hint of malice, even though you try your hardest to find any in his eyes.
when he does let go of you, fingers skimming past your flesh, you run faster than you ever have before.
you run, past the ruins, past the harbor, and until you can’t see liyue behind you any more. you run, unable to see a palace fall from the sky and crash into the ocean, and until you’re surrounded by mountains and there’s not a ginkgo tree in sight. you run, unsure if his words are true, but certain that he knows who you are.
you won’t trust him. as you lay on the ground, wheezing to catch the air that’s left your lungs, you once again swear to yourself that you can’t trust the words of the fatui.
as the northland bank lights ignite themselves in welcome of its master, childe presses a hand to his bandaged torso. a spark of your vision lingers between his fingers, and he observes it before it disappears.
he’s already hurt enough people. he heads to the second floor, and erases your name from the fatui files.

pairing: prince kaeya x prince reader
2k event | wc: 1.12k | cw: angst-ish, mentions of war and murder | forbidden love, royal au
anon: ooo ok ok! male!reader x kaeya in the forbidden love trope? like they’re princes of two kingdoms who hate each other and they sneak out to see eachother and plot about running away from the kingdoms to be with one another?
a/n: for the record, I have not read Romeo and Juliet nor any of its iterations. this fic is not themed that way either, i’m only stating such because i believe the Romeo and Juliet plot is like this (is it?)
The life of a member of the royal family was full of delicacies. Servants that obeyed your every word, lavish parties full of gullible nobles, expensive wines to taste, such was a royal’s life. It was quite easy, to tell the truth, counting that you weren’t king, queen or immediate heir.
As the last prince, the monarchs’ last son, nobody had any expectations of you whatsoever. It wasn’t to say that you were neglected, but they surely didn’t care when you were last in line for the throne.
You were quite lucky, really, to be born to the royal family. You had your needs at your fingertips, after all. However, it was quite boring. Having little to no classes, no contact with common folk, and nothing to work towards meant that you wanted to do nothing and everything at the same time.
That is until you met him.
Kaeya was the prince of a neighboring kingdom, not the last in line but certainly not the first. For a long time, he was the only person that could ever entertain you. He was your best friend all throughout childhood and your younger teenage years, your partner in crime, and your only source of fun. Together, you pranked all your siblings and all of his, each poor butler and every pitiful caretaker.
“Kaeya, will you stay with me forever?” You held out your pinky, a childhood promise.
“Of course!” He wraps his pinky around yours, smiling widely. You were so young, in fact, that the both of you still had gaps in your teeth.
At the time, you had no idea what that meant, and as you grew older, you began to realize. It wasn’t like you despised the thought of it though. If he was the light of your day, why would you stop spending time with him?
“Kaeya, will you stay with me forever?” Under the dark sky of the night, you asked the same question. It had no meaning behind it back then, so it would certainly have more now.
The prince chuckles, “Didn’t you ask me this before?”
“I mean, yeaah-” You huff, glaring at him playfully. He simply shrugs in reply, going back to staring at the stars of the night. “but we were just children!”
“Why would my answer change?” He laughs again, offering you his hand. You gladly take it, though this was another gesture with a meaning you had not known in your youth. “Now, do you think that’s a constellation or a normal group of stars?”
His hand was cold back then. Nights were often cold, as were most people that stood outside in its darkness. However, even when you stood on the same balcony on the same day several years later, his hand wasn’t cold.
“(y/n)?” He squeezes your hand, though when you turn to look at him he still stares at the sky.
“Yes?” You squeeze back, hoping to catch his attention and therefore his gaze. For most, eye-contact with your… crush was nerve-wracking. But you weren’t most since you actually enjoyed it. Kaeya’s eyes are blue, periwinkle blue. Sometimes, you just wanted to be surrounded in the color, as it reminded you of him.
He turns to you, “Will you stay with me forever?”
“I’ve asked you this before.”
“Well, it means something different now.” He turns his whole body to you, subtly shuffling closer to your warmth. As subtle as it is, you catch onto it quickly. “What’s your answer?”
“Of course I will.” You reply with certainty. “What’s the difference?”
Kaeya leans his face even closer towards you ever so slowly. Your gaze trails down to his lips, ones that look incredibly kissable. “You’ll see.”
Because of your many years of alliance, you did not expect the kingdoms to turn on each other. Your parents had paid an assassin to eliminate one of the kingdom’s most important sergeants, while his parents had waged war on one of your weakest duchies.
Just as quick as news broke out, the two of you were separated.
The only thing you ever wished for these days was to be with him once again, no repercussions and no risks.
Being the mischievous people you were, you analyzed your royal guard’s patrol routes and planned times to see each other. There was only one certain day of the week where you could sneak out to meet up, and even then you could only spend so much time together before someone came to check up on your rooms.
That day was always the highlight of your week and the only thing you looked forward to. By the look of his face when he saw you again, it was the same situation for him too.
Upon starry nights and the cover of forests, under the darkness of the night and the miniscule light of the moon, you met again. “Kaeya.”
He smiles warmly, “(y/n).”
You take him in your embrace, wrapping your arms around him as if your life depended on it. “I missed you.”
“It’s only be-” As much as he wants to joke about it, he can’t deny the aching of his heart. “I’ve missed you too, my love.” His hold on you is just as tight as yours.
The night is always cool, but within his warm embrace, you don’t have to worry about the cold. He cups your cheeks, giving you a chaste kiss. “You won’t believe what I have planned this time.”
You snicker, “What is it?” He always has plans to escape your families. For a bright man such as himself, they’re always a little far-fetched. Well, ‘a little’ was an understatement.
His plans ranged from “We’ll defeat both armies together!” to “We’ll walk to the next kingdom.” by foot, no less. However, he himself knows how unlikely they are. For your sake, and for the sake of his hope, he manages to think up these crazy ideas just to lighten the mood. Though this time, his plan was actually probable. He hoped you’d accept.
“This time, we’ll run…” He states his plan, and to your surprise, it’s not the worst thing in the world.
“What if they catch on to the missing rations?” Under the star speckled sky and canopies of trees, hope resounding in your hearts, and within bonds of your forbidden love, you form your plan.
You did not care for lavish parties or polished gold. All you desired was to be with him for the rest of our life.

Summary: The local video game arcade owner is in love with the local barista who is also in love with the local baker. What could go wrong?
A/N: Third Kinktober fic, day 5: foodplay
Friendly competition was healthy, normal, and expected from successful business owners with shops near to one another. It only made sense that the two best coffee shops on the same street would have a friendly rivalry, or that the local bakery would compete with the nearby diner serving fresh cakes. What wasn’t normal, and not expected, was the local bakery in such a cutthroat competition with the local arcade.
It wasn’t even really about the products, of course. Individuals routinely purchased snacks or lunch from Seokjin, the owner and baker at History in the Baking – the best bakery in town by any local’s standards, then stopped in two doors down to play a few video games, often with Jungkook, the owner of the Golden Closet; a newer, but booming arcade. There was no loss in business and nothing forcing the rivalry.
Nothing, that was, except Deja Brew, the small café and coffee shop nestled directly between the two businesses. Really, it was because of the owner of the shop, one Min Yoongi.
Yoongi was everyone’s favorite. He liked to put on a grumpy front, often standing out in front of his rather adorable little shop as it opened at 6:37am sharp (he said, because 6:30 is too damn early, and what person wants coffee as late as 7:00am, really?) But it wasn’t real. No, the short, sweet faced grump was really as gentle as could be. He gave the bleary-eyed children of busy moms small sweets and volunteered with local charities. He often worked with Seokjin to make sure no product went to waste; every few days he and Jin would gather up near expiry products – Jin’s baked goods and breads and coffee beans that hadn’t sold, and Yoongi would drive them over to the nearby homeless shelter for breakfasts for the needy.
This was where Jin first realized that he’d fallen truly head over heels for the barista. The only problem he had was that he wasn’t sure if Yoongi liked him back, or if he was even into men. And the idea of ruining the both friendship and business cooperation they had was more terrifying than keeping silent.
Jungkook, on the other hand, knew almost immediately that he wanted to ask Yoongi on a date. The first week he’d moved into the empty space next to Yoongi’s shop, he’d wandered in, exhausted from an all nighter getting things up and running and just needing a quick pick me up. He’d expected something like a fancy Starbucks – in and out and perhaps a misspelled name on the cup to boot. What he’d gotten instead was a very concerned Yoongi herding him to a booth and a warm breakfast; the most delicious oatmeal he’d ever tasted, along with a rich, sweet coffee that made his toes curl and his heart skip. Though, maybe the heart skipping was more Yoongi’s doing than the coffee. Yes, Jungkook knew he’d been swept off his feet. His problem however was that despite being told he was handsome and being quite boisterous and loud in regards to his friends… Once someone he fancied came near, he clammed up; closing himself off and barely speaking more than a few words to the person. Which was what happened with Yoongi.
And Yoongi – for all his attention paid to customers, bills, and the local news – had no idea that he was being courted after by his two neighbors. When their rivalry picked up, Jungkook had blocked Jin’s back door for nearly three hours with a large truck first off; then Jin had had a whole pallet of flour ‘misdelivered’ to Jungkook’s door – he assumed they were old friends, or old enemies. Perhaps exes that were out to get one another. It wasn’t his problem, and he had no care about how they handled their rivalry – just as long as he wasn’t dragged into it.
Seven months, it went on. Seven entire months of petty pranks and murmured name-calling and generally annoyed glares between Jungkook and Jin. And then it happened.
Jungkook was early in to the arcade. It was nearly 6:15, but the sun was shining and he was feeling particularly good. He’d spent the evening out with an old friend who had encouraged him to ask Yoongi out before someone (Jin) did.
He walked past Jin’s shop, glancing in. He could see a few lights on in the back; Jin was always in early, working on his day to day treats. Despite his annoyance with Jin, he had to admit, the man was an excellent baker. And what was more, he was frankly stunning. Tall and broad, slender, with the face of a God – if Jungkook wasn’t so taken with Yoongi he may have gone after Jin. His custom pastries and cakes were stunning and elaborate, and his simple day to day cookies and pastries were always a hit. Rivalry or not, Jungkook knew good sweets, and that man’s were to die for.
He passed the bakery without lingering too long and glanced into the front window of the café. Much to his surprise, the main lights were on; Yoongi normally kept them off until opening time. He looked a little closer, and his stomach did a tight little flip. Yoongi was sitting at one of the tables, sipping coffee… With Seokjin.
They were laughing, and Jin reached over, brushing the tips of his fingers over Yoongi’s cheek. Jungkook saw red. It wasn’t fair. He reached up, ready to tap on the glass, draw Yoongi’s attention, anything. He froze though. What right did he have? He hadn’t made his move on Yoongi fast enough – that was on him. He sighed softly and shook his head, hurrying past the café before one of them caught him peering in like a pervert.
Jungkook tried to ignore the ache he felt as he worked, but every time his mind drifted, it went to what he saw that morning. Was it what he had assumed? Were they just friends? He had to find out. He slipped out under the guise of an early lunch break, entering Deja Brew.
Yoongi was behind the counter, looking stunning as always. He looked up and grinned. “Afternoon, Kook. What can I get you?”
“Whatever you think is good,” Jungkook said, settling in one of the tables. “You know I trust your opinion here.”
“Coming up.”
The shop was empty; Jungkook knew it wouldn’t start getting busy again until about noon. It was nice; he could watch Yoongi working without others wondering what was wrong with him. Yoongi circled around to the table with a tray, setting a sandwich in front of Jungkook along with a coffee.
“Mind if I join you? Grab my own lunch before the real lunch rush.”
“Of course not,” Jungkook grinned, trying not to sound too excited at the prospect.
Yoongi set a similar meal down on the other side and hurried the tray back to the counter before sliding in across from Jungkook.
Jungkook took a bite, groaning happily. “This is amazing.”
“Apple sausage with fresh veggies. I managed to get some really great products at the farmer’s market this weekend, and Jin gave me a deal on the bread. Nobody does these little sandwich loaves like he does.”
The smile slid from Jungkook’s face. He tried to replace it, ignoring the twist in his gut. Well, this was what he came for; might as well rip the bandage off. “You and Jin are pretty close, huh?”
“I think so,” Yoongi said casually, taking a bite of his sandwich.
“How long have you two been…” He drifted off. Yoongi’s brows furrowed for a moment. He swallowed the bite in his mouth.
“Been friends? About a year. We met a few months before you joined our little shop front.”
“No… Dating,” Jungkook clarified.
Yoongi coughed, laughing after taking a swig of coffee. “Dating? No, no. Jin and I aren’t dating. I’d love to but… He’s not into me that way.”
“Are you kidding? He’s obsessed with you,” Jungkook said without thinking, wanting immediately to kick himself. “I saw you two this morning when I was walking to my arcade. I figured… You know… It was a date.”
Yoongi chuckled and shook his head. “I’ll take your word for it, but no… We were just having breakfast.” He hesitated. “Do you really think he likes me?”
Jungkook snorted. “He adores you. I mean, why wouldn’t he? You’re funny and smart and one of the most caring guys in this town. Plus you make amazing coffee, you’re independent. And you’re handsome as hell and I—” He froze, realizing Yoongi was staring at him, eyes wide.
“I—I just mean you two are a good match,” he mumbled.
“I appreciate the plethora of compliments, but no we aren’t.” Yoongi chuckled. “Jin’s damn near a model.”
“He really is. I’ve never seen someone with such broad shoulders that doesn’t look weird. And his smile…” Jungkook shook his head, smiling a little. “He’s stunning. But you are too.”
“Well, maybe I’ll ask him out. But… I don’t think he’d be into my lifestyle.”
Jungkook’s brows raised. He twitched his head to the side, mouth pursing. When Yoongi didn’t continue, he nudged him with his foot under the table.
“Lifestyle?”
“It’s… Very hard to explain.”
“If it’s not comfortable, I didn’t mean—”
“No, it’s not that. I am comfortable with it. I just wish others were,” Yoongi mumbled.
“It sounds intriguing… I’ll listen without judging, you know me.”
Yoongi smiled softly. “You do have a knack for that, don’t you?” He sighed. “I’m not… Comfortable in traditional relationships. I never have been.”
“Like sexually?”
“Oh no, no. I’ve always been very sexual being. No, I mean traditional monogamy. I believe in faithfulness and I abhor cheaters… But for me the traditional two-person relationship is dull and unfulfilling. It’s like… I feel like I have so much love to give and no matter how much I give to the other person there’s this space missing.” He sighed again. “It’s very hard to explain to folks.”
“You feel like the true way to be happy in a relationship is to have more than one partner?” Jungkook clarified.
“For me, yes. I’m not disparaging traditional relationships, I just… When I date someone, I feel like there’s still this gap there, waiting to be filled by a third party. And it doesn’t matter to me whether that third is dating my first partner, or if they’re just dating me, or even if they’re dating someone else that I’m not dating, I’m okay with any combination, I just… I need to have more than what traditional monogamy can give me.”
“I get it,” Jungkook said, nodding. He sipped his coffee as he thought, processing the information. “I don’t see anything wrong with what you feel. You still love and believe in being faithful; I’m guessing seeking a third partner, or a fourth or however many would be something that you’d discuss with your partner originally.”
“Oh of course, but therein lies the problem. The majority of people don’t understand this mindset. They hear something about wanting another partner and insecurity crops up. Are they not good enough, do they not satisfy, am I falling out of love with them and there’s really no way to explain to a person who sees things in the traditional way.”
Jungkook nodded. He scowled at the remnants of his sandwich in thought, trying to put himself in Yoongi’s shoes, or in the shoes of someone Yoongi might be dating.
“It’s gonna catch fire if you laser focus any more on that bread,” Yoongi joked, his voice a little tense. Jungkook looked up. “Oh, sorry.” He laughed. Yoongi looked as tense as he sounded, and Jungkook wondered if he was waiting for a sort of negativity about what he’d just confessed.
“I was thinking about the type of relationship you described.”
“Oh?”
“Yeah, trying to put myself in that place – the mind of someone you might be dating who you told this to.”
“What’s the verdict? Would you dump me?” Yoongi laughed as he spoke, but it didn’t reach his eyes. Jungkook shook his head no.
“When I think about it, I don’t deny my initial thought would be to ask if you were happy – I feel like that’s everyone’s gut response. We were raised in a monogamy preferred society, so it’s just… Natural to think that way. Not right, of course… We were also raised in a heterosexual society and I think it’s pretty clear that’s bullshit.”
Yoongi and Jungkook both chuckled at that. Jungkook continued.
“But I think if you explained that you were, and how you just told me about it, I think I’d get it. I would want to be with you in the process though. I don’t think I’d be comfortable with my partner seeking out another person without me. That would feel too much like hiding or cheating. But I think if we went together and met folks, or even had a person in mind that you wanted to ask, I’d want to like them too. Maybe not as much as I liked you, but some sort of friendship or agreement that you’d be good together, if that makes sense.”
Yoongi was silent for a long time after Jungkook spoke. He couldn’t figure out his expression. There were subtle shifts in it, and sometimes Yoongi looked close to tears, other times happy, and blank. Jungkook wanted to ask what he was thinking, or if he’d said something wrong, but didn’t want to push Yoongi into answering if he was still processing.
So he went back to eating, finishing the last of his sandwich and sipping the sweet coffee while he waited. He looked outside, watching the traffic pass through the window. Some familiar faces passed by, likely heading into his arcade next door. He should head back at some point soon, he’d left Taehyung in charge, which was fine in the short term, but Taehyung had a way of getting too up in his head or too hyperfocused on one thing – so it was best to have a second person there to bring him back to reality.
Jungkook was just about to clear his throat and call it a meeting when Yoongi looked up suddenly, meeting his gaze.
“Jungkook…”
“What?” Jungkook laughed a little, the intensity of Yoongi’s gaze startling. Not to mention, arousing; he’d never been looked at like that before. At least… Not by anyone he liked back.
“I’m in my late twenties,” Yoongi began, finally breaking the gaze to gather their plates. “And I’ve known this about myself since I was very young… Thirteen, fourteen maybe?” He rose, holding the plates and his empty cup. “In all that time I’ve never had someone respond how you just did. Taking the time to process and try to understand and… Get it. Maybe not think the same way as me but… Be able to offer me an answer that wasn’t going to break my heart. That would let me and them be happy.”
“I—”
Yoongi shook his head, his mouth curling up into a bright, gummy smile. “You asked about Jin because you’re jealous, didn’t you?”
Jungkook felt his cheeks burn with embarrassment. He lowered his gaze, nodding softly. “That’s weird, huh?” He mumbled.
“I think it’s cute.” Yoongi leaned down, his breath warm on Jungkook’s ear. “And I think you’re cute Jeon Jungkook.” He shifted, pressing a quick kiss to Jungkook’s cheek before standing upright.
Jungkook’s head snapped up when Yoongi rose. “What?”
Yoongi smirked. “I don’t mince my words. You heard me.” Yoongi glanced at the door, nodding to a customer approaching that he must have recognized. “My lunch rush is about to start,” Yoongi said as the bell dinged, signaling the customer’s entrance. “Come by when I close. I want to talk to you more.”
Jungkook grinned brightly, his nose crinkling up. He rose quickly and nodded even as Yoongi walked away. “I will,” he said, not wanting to turn his back as he watched Yoongi walk behind the counter. “I’ll see you—” He winced when his hip bumped the corner of a table hard enough to sting. He moved out of the way, nearly running into the customer.
“Sorry!” He cried, bowing low. He glanced up, his cheeks warm as he spotted Yoongi watching him, an amused smirk on his face.
Jungkook made it out of the café and over to his arcade without any further accidents. His mind was whirring over what had just happened. Yoongi had said he was cute. Yoongi had kissed his cheek. And asked him to come over. Was this happening? Was he going to win the guy?
The other information Yoongi provided him also crept back in. Now that Yoongi dating him might be reality, rather than theory, would Jungkook really be okay with sharing him with another partner? The more he thought about it, the more he realized he would. The idea of sharing Yoongi with someone else was intriguing. He wondered how date nights might look, if Yoongi would call them both boyfriends – if the other partner would even be a boy. What if he fell for that one too? It was something he’d never considered before; being in love with two men at the same time, but it was something that he was very interested in exploring. What was Yoongi’s type too? Would it be someone else similar to Jungkook? Or totally opposite? His mind wandered through all the possibilities, making the day pass easily.
Shortly before closing time, the front door opened. Jungkook glanced up from where he was sanitizing one of the game systems. His brows rose, disappearing into his shaggy hair when he saw none other than Jin standing in his doorway.
“Good afternoon,” he said politely, bowing. “You looking for something specific? We have some open computers at the internet bar, and some other game systems. I just cleaned this one, so—”
“I’m looking for you,” Jin said bluntly. His jaw was set, giving him a stern look, but there was something unreadable in his eyes. “Can we chat?”
“Of course.” Jungkook nodded, heading behind the small counter that housed a few mini fridges worth of snacks and books filled with codes and game information. He tucked the sanitizing supplies on the bottom shelf and waved Taehyung over. “Keep an eye on the front for me, okay?”
Taehyung glanced at Jin before nodding to Jungkook. Jungkook motioned for Jin to follow him, unlocking a nondescript door that led into an “office” – really it was a gutted storage closet, but it worked to keep the fancy and important stuff out of sight of customers… And for private meetings. Jungkook leaned on the small desk.
“What do you need to talk about?”
“When did you start dating Yoongi?”
Jungkook blinked. “Who said I was dating him?”
“I saw you two this afternoon. He kissed you.”
“He kissed my cheek,” Jungkook corrected. “And you’re a snoop.”
“The shop’s windows aren’t exactly hidden away. I was walking past and saw.”
Jungkook nodded. He sighed and went around, slumping into the folding chair he’d set up to sit in while dealing with bills and other business things. “Well, we aren’t dating. I assumed he was dating you… I saw you two awful cozy this morning.”
“Oh, now who’s the snoop?” Jin grumbled, leaning on the door.
The two remained silent for a long time, staring each other down across the small space. Jungkook couldn’t help but notice how the fabric of Jin’s shirt stretched across his broad shoulders. Though it was a well fitted, button up shirt, it still seemed tight with his body. His belt was cinched around his waist, making his slender hips all the more obvious as well. Jungkook couldn’t help but wonder what it would feel like to hold onto those slender hips, or wrap his arms around the broad shoulder span. And the more he looked, the more he noticed Jin’s mouth and neck. The curve of his throat, ridged with muscle, his full, pink lips that looked just a little chapped – but still oh so soft. The gentle curve of his nose and the smooth, shiny glow to his skin. Despite working in a bakery all day, not a hair was out of place, bangs parted just so to show a broad, smooth forehead that was begging to be kissed.
It was Jungkook who broke first, laughing in the silent room. He shook his head. “This is so stupid,” he said through bursts of laughter. Jin tried to remain stoic but broke as well, laughing along with Jungkook.
When their laughter faded, Jungkook shook his head, wiping his cheeks. “Look, I do like Yoongi. That’s no secret. And yeah, he did kiss my cheek – he was flirting. So, if you like him… I encourage you to tell him.”
“You just said he likes you.”
“And he likes you too. He told me today.” Jungkook hesitated. He didn’t want to say too much about what Yoongi told him; it wasn’t his place to tell. “You should talk to him. His answer might surprise you. But either way – we’ve been fighting over him for months, when in reality this is his choice. He deserves to know the truth so he can make that choice.”
Jin’s shoulders sagged just a little. He nodded. “I know you’re right. But I don’t want to make it harder for him if he has decided to date you.”
“I know you don’t, but you won’t know what he decides until you tell him. He’s a big boy – I’m sure he can handle it.”
Jin chuckled. “True… Thanks, Jungkook.” He turned to go, then turned back. “I’m sorry I’ve been such a dick these past few months.”
Jungkook grinned. “I’m not. It’s been fun. I’ve kinda enjoyed our pranking.”
“Is that so?” Jin smirked. “Well, maybe I won’t stop then.”
“I’ll be waiting.”
Jin turned and walked out, leaving Jungkook to wrestle with far more internal questions than he had answers for.
That night, Jungkook headed over to Deja Brew as soon as he closed things up. The lights were mostly off, save for a few near the back and behind the counter. Assuming it was locked, Jungkook knocked gently. He saw movement from the back, and Yoongi came rushing out. Even in the fading sunlight, Jungkook could see he looked a little flushed and surprised. He opened the door, smiling brightly. “You came.”
“Of course I did… You okay?” Jungkook could see his cheeks were mottled and his hair was a little mussed.
“Yes. But… I have to tell you something.”
Jungkook stepped into the café, letting Yoongi close and lock the door behind him. He shouldered his bag a little higher onto his shoulder. “What do you have to tell me?”
“There’s been… A bit of a development. That I didn’t expect… When I told you to come by.”
“Oh?”
“Evening, Jungkook.” The voice came from the back room, where Yoongi had rushed from. Jungkook looked over Yoongi’s shoulder, his eyes widening. Jin was leaning against the doorframe. He was wearing the same shirt as he had been when he met Jungkook, but now it was hanging open save for two bottom buttons, his firm, broad chest exposed. It was damp with sweat and flushed red, as was Jin’s face and ears. His hair was a little mussed and his mouth – if anyone could believe it – was just a little plumper.
“Oh!” Jungkook backed up. “I am so sorry. I didn’t realize—”
“Don’t go,” Yoongi whispered.
“But you and Jin—”
“He came over,” Yoongi nodded. “But I want to talk to you still. I don’t want you to go, please.”
Jungkook nodded. He met Jin’s gaze, a little surprised to see a gentleness there. He’d won – he expected Jin to look smug. He followed Yoongi back into the back room, and Jin followed as well, leaning against a nearby wall.
“Jin came over earlier,” Yoongi began. “He said you encouraged him to.”
“I did. He came to me and I said it was only fair to you. To tell you how he felt and let you choose. I guess he did and… You did.”
“How do you mean?” Yoongi asked.
“Well, you two…” Jungkook motioned to Jin’s open shirt.
“Oh, yeah. We did. I mean, we are… But… I told you earlier today. How I felt,” Yoongi said. “You said… A lot. About how you’d feel about it. Was that true?”
“About the… More than one person thing?”
Yoongi nodded.
“Yeah, I meant it all. I wouldn’t mind. If I knew you cared and were happy, I’d try.”
“Well I told Jin too.”
“And I said the same thing,” Jin added.
Jungkook smiled softly. “I’m glad. It’s good to find similarly minded people.”
“Jungkook,” Jin stepped forward. “You’re kinda dumb, aren’t you?”
Jungkook pouted. “No,” he mumbled. “I was just trying to be fair, I didn’t—”
“Jungkook, you and me and Yoongi all say the same thing. We’d be happy to try a relationship with more than one person.”
“Yeah, I got that…” Jungkook said, glancing between the two.
“Right… And we both like Yoongi,” Jin continued. “And… Considering the way you were eye fucking me in the office earlier…”
Jungkook’s eyes bulged. He opened his mouth to argue, but Jin shook his head. “I know when someone is giving me that look. I would’ve told you to stop if I didn’t like it.”
“You…”
“Think you’re kinda… Annoying.” Jin laughed at Jungkook’s expression. “And really attractive. Plus you’re competitive and stubborn and loyal…”
“You didn’t lose anything, Jungkook,” Yoongi said. “If you don’t want to lose, that is. If you want… You can both have me.”
Jungkook’s eyes bulged. Comically, if the laughter of Yoongi and Jin meant anything. “You mean—I—I could be with you both?” Jungkook stumbled over his words, wanting to kick himself.
Yoongi nodded. “Why should I choose between you when you both want me and I… Want both of you. And since you’re both okay with sharing me, then… It only seems fair to do so.”
“I was simply getting started a little early,” Jin teased, pulling Yoongi back to him. He kissed him hard.
Jungkook wasn’t sure what to do. He’d just been given the okay – he could date Yoongi – and Jin. He stepped forward, setting his backpack on the ground. Cautiously, he reached out, touching Yoongi’s wrist.
Jin broke the kiss. “Don’t be shy,” he murmured, nuzzling Yoongi’s neck even as he looked up at Jungkook.
Jungkook took a deep breath. He stepped forward, pulling Yoongi to him and kissing him. The reality of what was happening seemed to hit him suddenly when their lips met. He grabbed his cheeks, holding him close even as Yoongi laughed into his mouth. Jungkook felt a warmth behind him and hands on his hips. Jin.
“Can I share you too, Jungkook?” Jin whispered in his ear. Jungkook broke the kiss with Yoongi, looking over to meet Jin’s gaze.
“I—I guess so.”
Jin smiled softly. He stepped to the side, wrapping one arm around Jungkook and pulling him into a deep, needy kiss. His mouth tasted of warm, sweet vanilla and a hint of spice, while Yoongi’s had tasted like coffee beans and chai. It was the perfect blend.
Yoongi’s mouth landed on his neck, his hand sliding Jungkook’s front as he and Jin kissed. He felt hands on his jeans and gasped, breaking the kiss. He glanced down. Jin was undoing Jungkook’s jeans.
“You can stop me,” Jin said softly.
“And me,” Yoongi added.
“No,” Jungkook leaned back, sliding his hand up Yoongi’s neck and through his hair. “Wouldn’t dream of it.” He reached forward, touching Jin’s bare chest before sliding lower, his fingers tracing the firm muscle of his abdomen. He undid the other two buttons of his shirt and pulled it open just as Jin opened his jeans. The slid down a little, and Yoongi helped, pushing them the rest of the way down to his ankles. Jungkook toed his sneakers off and kicked the jeans off. He let go of Jin’s chest to turn, grabbing Yoongi’s belt. “I’m not gonna be the only one with no pants,” he said.
Yoongi laughed. “I’ve already had my pants off. I put them on when you came in.”
“Oh, is that so?” Jungkook undid his belt and unzipped his jeans. “What were you two doing in here?” He looked back at Jin, who smirked.
“I was showing him just how… Versatile my food can be.”
“Is that so?”
Jin nodded. Jungkook pushed Yoongi’s jeans down and turned. “Well now I’m envious… Can I get a lesson in that diversity too?” He pouted.
Jin smirked. “I’m sure that can be arranged. He circled around the two and opened a small fridge under Yoongi’s desk. He pulled out a small cheesecake and a can of spray whipped cream. “Mind if I get some things from up front, Yoongi?”
Yoongi shook his head no, busying himself kissing along Jungkook’s neck. “Bet this isn’t at all what you expected tonight,” he murmured.
“Not at all,” Jungkook leaned into his touch. “But I’m not complaining.”
He turned, pulling Yoongi’s shirt off over his head. He took a moment to stroke his hands over Yoongi’s soft skin, tweaking his nipples just a bit and giggling when Yoongi hissed. Yoongi moved forward, forcing Jungkook to walk backwards until his back hit the wall. He moaned openly, grabbing Yoongi’s hips.
“Don’t come in your shorts now, I have some fun for you two,” Jin teased when he re-entered, holding a cup of coffee and a bowl of what looked like ice. He set them on the table next to the food and beckoned the two over.
“Yoongi… He smirked. He scraped a small chunk off the cheesecake and brought the fork toward Yoongi. Yoongi opened his mouth for it, but Jin moved the fork at the last second, smearing the cheesecake over Yoongi’s bare collarbone. He looked at Jungkook. “Go on.”
Jungkook grinned. He moved forward, gently licking and sucking the cheesecake from Yoongi’s collarbone. He let his teeth graze over the area, enjoying the squeeze of Yoongi’s hands on his waist.
“Take your shirt off now,” Jin whispered when Jungkook had cleaned Yoongi’s skin, and left an array of delightful red marks in his wake. Jungkook obeyed, stripping his shirt off and tossing it to the side. Jin did the same, and stripped his jeans off as well, leaving all three in their boxers. Jin grabbed the can of whipped cream, looking between the two. “Who wants a treat?”
“Yoongi,” Jungkook said. “I stole his cheesecake after all.”
Jin stepped forward and reached out, palming Jungkook through his boxers. Jungkook gasped, his eyelids fluttering shut.
“Lets get these off then,” Jin whispered, pressing a kiss to Jungkook’s jaw. Yoongi stepped forward, sliding them down his hips. Jin made a low noise of appreciation when his cock sprang free. He shook the can once more.
“It’ll be cold,” he warned before tipping it upside down. He pressed Jungkook’s cock down a little further so it was more parallel to the ground and sprayed a few lines of the creamy dessert whip over his shaft.
Jungkook forced his eyes open as Yoongi sank to the ground, licking his lips. He grasped Jungkook’s cock gently behind the tip, careful not to disturb the whipped cream, and looked up at him. Slow and steady, he began to lap to Jungkook’s cock, catching the cream with his tongue. Each inch slipped into his mouth, hot and warm and slick, Jungkook gasped, reaching out for anything to brace himself. Jin caught him, holding his hips to keep him upright as Yoongi sucked his cock.
“That’s it, feels nice, doesn’t it?” Jin murmured in his ear, reaching up to pinch Jungkook’s nipples gently. Jungkook moaned, stroking his fingers through Yoongi’s hair.
“Wanna repay the favor?” He asked softly when Yoongi had sucked all the cream from Jungkook’s cock.
Jungkook nodded. “But—What about you?” He asked, sliding his hand down to palm Jin’s cock.
Jin smirked. “Oh, wanna see what I have too?” He teased. Jungkook nodded.
“Only fair,” Yoongi said as he stood. He slid his own boxers off and they turned to Jin, shedding the final article of clothing he wore as well.
Jin handed Jungkook a piece of ice. “Put it in your mouth… And suck my cock,” he instructed. He took a mouthful of coffee and knelt in front of Yoongi. Glancing up, he winked. He grabbed Yoongi’s cock and gave it a few strokes before slowly sliding it past his closed lips. Yoongi groaned and jerked. A bit of the warm coffee dribbled out, down Jin’s chin and chest. He began to bob his head, and Jungkook could hear the slosh of the coffee in his mouth as he sucked Yoongi.
Jungkook dropped to his hands and knees and placed the ice chip in his mouth. He grabbed Jin’s cock and gave it a few strokes, blowing first gently on it. Jin shuddered and grabbed the back of Jungkook’s neck, squeezing just enough to be known. Jungkook watched goosebumps appear on his thick thighs. He leaned down further and sucked Jin’s cock into his mouth. He flicked the slowly melting ice chip over and around it, using Jin’s grip on the back of his neck to guide what felt the best. Yoongi’s moans were filling the air, as well as the heavy breathing of all three and the wet noises of the two sucking. Jin pulled back and swallowed, gasping and moaning Jungkook’s name. Yoongi sank to the ground and grabbed another ice chip, tapping Jungkook on the shoulder. He moved back, allowing Yoongi to take over.
Jungkook stood and grabbed a forkful of the cheesecake. He slowly streaked it down his belly and over his cock, leaving a little bite on the tip of his cock. Jin smirked, his mouth open already. Jungkook guided him to his cock, moaning when Jin took his tip into his mouth. He sucked hard, flicking his tongue over the top of the head to get the remnants of cheesecake. He moved up then, shifting as much as he could with his cock in Yoongi’s mouth, and licked and nibbled at Jungkook’s belly. Down, over his cock, firm licks and daring grazes of his teeth that had Jungkook tensing in preparation for pain – and moaning in disbelieving arousal when it didn’t come. He was dribbling precoma freely, and knew he wouldn’t last long. Jin pulled back and moaned, tugging on Yoongi’s hair gently.
“Stop, stop—I’m gonna come,” he whined.
Yoongi pulled back, looking up at him. “Isn’t that the point?” He teased.
Jin chuckled. “I suppose. But it wouldn’t be fair of you to hoard it to yourself, what if Jungkook wanted a taste?”
Jungkook smirked. “He could share with me after it’s already in his mouth, I suppose.”
Jin’s breathing caught, just a bit, and he nodded. “I suppose he could.” He and Yoongi rose and Jin grabbed a small bowl from the fridge. “My homemade frosting,” he explained when Jungkook twitched his head at it. He uncovered the bowl and took a spoon, stirring it. “Yoongi. Come here.”
When Yoongi approached, he slathered the frosting over the length of Yoongi’s thick cock, adding a playful swirl to the dollop at the tip. He looked to Jungkook. “He’s the only one you’ve not tasted yet. Go for it.”
Jungkook sank down and took him into his mouth quickly, moaning around his length. The rich, sweet vanilla cream blended perfectly with Yoongi’s salty precome, dribbling in and teasing him with the promise of more. Jungkook bobbed his head quickly, eager to swallow down both the frosting and Yoongi’s unique taste. Yoongi held back no sounds, tugging softly at Jungkook’s hair as he moaned happily.
Jin dropped down next to Jungkook, shifting to suck and lick at the part of Yoongi’s cock not in Jungkook’s mouth. They switched, taking turns lavishing attention over Yoongi’s cock. Their mouths often met in wet kisses, his cock slotted between their lips. He whined, his hips bucking.
“Please—” He panted. “It’s okay, you can come,” Jin purred, swallowing his cock down. He backed up, letting Jungkook do the same. They kept at it until Yoongi’s cock began to throb. As it did, Jungkook pulled back, holding it towards them and stroking quickly. The ropes of come erupted from his cock, hitting both on the cheeks and open mouths. Jungkook whined softly, feeling a rope shoot over his tongue. As his orgasm faded, Jin grabbed Jungkook’s face, kissing him hard. They cleaned Yoongi’s release from one another with kisses, sharing the salty treat between them.
Yoongi sank down, his legs shaking visibly. He grabbed for Jungkook and Jin’s cocks, stroking one in each hand as they made out. Jungkook pulled back in time to see Yoongi leaning forward, swallowing Jin’s cock down as he stroked Jungkook’s. He switched after a few moments, wrapping his perfect lips around Jungkook’s cock and stroking Jin’s.
“God, I’m already close,” Jungkook whined, holding onto Jin as Yoongi bobbed his head along his shaft.
“Come in his mouth,” Jin murmured. “You can see how much he wants it.”
Yoongi whined in agreement, his breath hot around Jungkook’s cock. He began to bob his head a little faster, reaching up to play with Jungkook’s balls as he did.
“That’s it,” Jin praised, stroking the back of Yoongi’s neck. Jungkook let his head fall onto Jin’s shoulder, his fingers biting into his side as Yoongi’s mouth dragged him closer to orgasm. He grunted, biting his lip. Jin slid his hand down, squeezing Jungkook’s ass. He brushed his finger teasingly over Jungkook’s hole, smirking when he jumped.
“Sensitive,” teased.
Jungkook moaned, pushing his hips forward, pumping into Yoongi’s mouth, and back toward Jin’s hand. The hand disappeared from his ass for a moment. He heard Jin spit and it was back, one finger slipping into his hole. Jungkook shouted in surprise. His hips jerked forward and back, gagging Yoongi.
“Sorry,” he panted, laughing breathlessly as Jin began to finger him. Yoongi gave a thumbs up, shifting to adjust his movements.
Jin found Jungkook’s prostate easily and began to rub and press it, murmuring soft praises in his ear.
Jungkook whimpered. He tugged Yoongi’s hair gently. “I can’t hold back,” he gasped in warning. Yoongi nodded as well as he could and pulled back, focusing his oral work on Jungkook’s tip. He rubbed and pressed his balls gently at the same time Jin pushed a second finger up his ass, scissoring them and rubbing against his spot. Jungkook swore, his legs beginning to shake. His cock jerked as his orgasm hit, spilling ropes of come into Yoongi’s mouth.
Jin slowed his fingers but kept them buried inside Jungkook, rubbing just enough to keep a low level orgasmic buzz running through Jungkook as he milked him dry.
Yoongi rose, his mouth open to show the come in it. He winked at Jungkook before pulling Jin into a deep kiss. Jungkook struggled to stay upright, watching them share his come.
When Yoongi pulled away, Jin withdrew his fingers momentarily.
“Can I keep fingering you while I come?” He asked.
Jungkook smirked tiredly. “Of course.” He bent over the desk, wiggling his ass playfully.
“Wanna finger mine too?” Yoongi teased.
“Well, I’d like to do more than that,” Jin murmured, kissing Yoongi once more. “But I’ll settle for rubbing off on it… If you’ll let me.”
Yoongi immediately bent over the desk next to Jungkook, kissing him softly. Jin added more spit to Jungkook’s hole, going back to fingering him lazily. Jungkook whined, his soft cock still dribbling weak ropes of come at the right pressure on his spot. He glanced over, watching Jin spit on his other hand to slick his cock. He slid it up, along Yoongi’s perky ass, and moaned, immediately beginning to hump against it.
After a while, Jin pulled his fingers free from Jungkook’s hole and squeezed Yoongi’s ass, swearing softly.
“Spread it,” he panted. Yoongi obeyed, spreading his ass open for Jin.
Jin spat against his hole, and Jungkook watched him slide a finger in gently. Yoongi moaned, deep in his chest as he did. Jin removed his finger and lined his cock up, poking the tip gently against Yoongi’s tight hole. He paused, jerking his cock quickly.
He moved over to Jungkook, squeezing his ass.
“Spread,” he panted. Jungkook obeyed, blushing darkly when he heard Jin spit and felt a glob land on his hole. Jin went immediately with his cock, spreading it with the tip and nudging Jungkook’s hole. Slightly more relaxed from the earlier fingering, Jungkook felt his hole give a little, and he moaned.
“Goddamnit,” Jin panted. Jungkook could hear him stroking his cock, the nudges against his hole becoming more persistent. “I wish I could fuck you both,” he grunted.
“Next time I’ll have lube,” Yoongi murmured. “I’d particularly like to see you take Jungkook and pound him against the wall… Looks like you make such pretty sounds with a cock up your ass, Jungkook.”
Jungkook laughed breathlessly, moaning softly. “I think I do… I love begging for it,” he admitted.
Both Jin and Yoongi made appreciative noises.
“I’d like to fuck him after,” Yoongi continued. “Lay him on his his belly right over there… And fuck him after you gape his ass. You could fuck me while I was doing it.”
“Jesus Christ,” Jin swore. He moved between them and grabbed the plate of cheesecake, setting it on the table. With a soft groan and a series of rhythmic grunts, Jin came, thick ropes spilling from his cock over the dessert.
Jungkook met Yoongi’s gaze and smirked, understanding the intention. They both grabbed forks and began to cut into the cake, feeding one another the come covered bites over Jin’s cock. He moaned softly, seeming to shudder and relax as they ate. Jungkook scooped up the last bite and stood straight, holding it out for Jin, he took it gladly, meeting Jungkook’s gaze as he chewed and swallowed. He leaned forward, kissing Yoongi and then Jungkook. Jungkook returned the kiss, pulling back to kiss Yoongi as well.
The three redressed and cleaned up the office in relative silence, each seeming to be going over what had happened.
“So… That was… Admittedly a little unexpected,” Yoongi said finally, settling into his chair behind the desk. Jin, for all his gusto, looked a little shy, and Jungkook was worried.
“Was it too much?” Jungkook asked.
“I don’t think so. Not for me, at least… What about you two?”
“I liked it,” Jin said. “I had fun and it was a good way to… Try out this dynamic, of all three of us. I’ve never… I’ve never dated more than one person at a time, but I like Jungkook, and I want to try it. And I know it’s where you feel comfortable. So for me, it was nice to sort of… See where we all stood and get close in a new way.”
Jungkook nodded. “I agree. I had said earlier today that I’d be fine with my partner dating someone else, and I kept thinking about that during the day. My mind did wander to Jin a few times, I won’t lie. I think he’s the best match for both of us. He and I have always had our…”
“Rivalry,” Jin filled in, laughing a little, and Jungkook nodded.
“Yes, rivalry. That I have enjoyed. And I obviously care a lot for you, Yoongi… I’m happy with tonight and… I hope we can move forward as a … Well, not really a couple, are we?”
Yoongi laughed. “Not exactly. There’s a lot of words that people have come up with for folks in our dynamic, we can figure it out later. For now I’m content just knowing that there’s no regrets. And that we all want to move forward into… Dating.”
Jungkook and Jin both nodded eagerly.
“How will dating work?” Jungkook asked. “Do the three of us go together? Two at a time? I mean… Since Jin and I, I figured… You are okay with… Wanting to date me too?”
“I’d like to try it,” Jin said, nodding in agreement.
“I’ve never actually had this kind of relationship,” Yoongi admitted, “despite wanting it for so long. I think we’ll have to sit down together and really hash out what each of us need in a relationship, and how the other two can best provide it. I do know that for this sort of thing… We need to be open with each other.”
Yoongi rose as he spoke, going over to Jin and Jungkook. He took each of their hands in his own. “Communicating is the only way this can work, okay? No more secrets, no more unspoken words and passive aggressive pranking.”
Thy all shared a chuckle at that. Jungkook shook his head. “I think pranking has really become Jin and I’s love language… You’re not gonna stop the pranks, Yoongi.”
Yoongi sighed dramatically, grinning. “And here I was hoping I’d get to avoid Jin shouting at seven in the morning when you’ve stolen his mixer yet again.”
Jungkook grinned brightly as Jin laughed.
“Look, that was a good prank!” Jungkook defended.
“Yeah, only because I returned it shutting down your fuse box the next day.”
Jungkook glared, but grinned as he was doing it. “We’ll keep you out of the pranks,” he promised, looking back to Yoongi.
“I don’t mind. Just don’t prank me.”
“It’s late,” Jin said. “Why don’t we all have a light dinner together tomorrow after closing? We can meet here, I’ll bring some stuff from the bakery too, and we can have some of the leftover sandwiches from your café. We can all sit together and really talk about what we need and what we’d like from this sort of relationship.”
Jungkook and Yoongi nodded. “I like that idea. I’d like to think more about it anyways,” Jungkook admitted. “I know I want this, but I’ve not been in a lot of relationships, so… When someone asks me what I want from even a traditional two person… I don’t think I could answer. I need to really think and figure it out.”
“I feel like that’s a fair assessment,” Yoongi said. “I’m in a similar boat. The idea that you’re both… Mine… It’s a lot. I’m happy. I’m just overwhelmed.”
“You never thought you could have this,” Jin said. Yoongi nodded.
“Well you do,” Jungkook stepped forward and hugged Yoongi tightly, pressing a kiss to his cheek. “And we might have to figure out the fine-tuning stuff, but you have us. It’s not a dream.”
Yoongi hugged him back, nuzzling his neck. “Thank you.”
“We care a lot about you, Yoongi. No matter what. I think I can speak for Jungkook too when I say that this is a good move for us all. We’re happy, and we’ll be happy like this,” Jin said. He wrapped his arms around them both, enveloping them in a tight hug.
They separated after a moment and Jungkook grabbed his bag. “Come on, we should get going. Do you have any last-minute things to do?”
“No, I’m all closed up here, just have to shut off lights.” Yoongi headed to the back of the office and grabbed his jacket, flicking off the lights and basking them in darkness.
The trio walked to the doors and stepped out into the cool night air, letting Yoongi lock his door. They stood for a moment, all looking at one another in the streetlights. “Well, I go this way,” Jungkook said, jutting his finger in the direction of his bus stop.
“I’m that way too,” Yoongi said.
“I go the other way,” Jin said. He glanced around then stepped forward and kissed Yoongi long and hard. Jungkook chuckled a little at it. It was cute, if he was being honest. Jin glared playfully at him. “What’re you laughing at, punk?” He joked. He grabbed Jungkook’s shirt and pulled him into a kiss as well.
He stood straight and fixed his shirt. “I’ll see you two tomorrow.”
“Get home safely,” Yoongi said. They watched Jin walk down the street before turning and walking up it.
“How far up do you go?” Yoongi asked.
“My bus stop is about two blocks away.”
“Do you live very far?”
Jungkook shook his head no. “Only a few miles. Just a little too far to walk or ride a bike in, so I have to do the bus.”
Yoongi nodded. “I only live about half a mile up, so I usually walk it. Do you have a car, for the winter?”
“No, but the bus stop is right outside my apartment so it’s not so bad. The city keeps these streets shoveled well.”
“Hm… Well, we’ll see when winter comes. I have a car, I just don’t bother using it except winter with how close I live. I wonder how far down Jin lives.” He glanced back.
“We can ask him tomorrow.”
They reached Jungkook’s bus stop. Yoongi sighed softly. “I wanted to thank you.”
“For what?”
“The conversation we had this afternoon gave me so much joy and confidence… Just hearing someone support me and give me hope that I could be truly happy… And then I know you sent Jin to me. Even though you knew it might mean losing me if I didn’t want you as a third, I… Your care means so much.”
Jungkook smiled softly. “I fell for you the minute I saw you, Yoongi. I want you to be happy, no matter what. And getting to be with you… And with Jin… It’s perfect. For as much as he and I argue, he’s an amazing man.”
“He is… And so are you.” Yoongi took Jungkook’s hands and squeezed gently. “I’m so happy that this happened.”
Jungkook grinned, his heart skipping a beat. He leaned forward and kissed Yoongi gently. “My bus will be here soon,” he said, not stepping away from Yoongi. “I’ll see you tomorrow.”
“See you.” Yoongi kissed him once more before letting his hands go and heading down the street.
Jungkook sighed heavily, a grin on his face as he did. Though he’d been hoping for a good result from finally confronting his feelings, this was a better one that he’d ever imagined. He knew that their future would be a sweet as the coffee and pastries his new boyfriends created.

Lonely
Pairing: Rick Grimes x F!Reader
Summary: After the fall of the prison, the reader finds herself alone with baby Judith mourning her family while trying to survive.
Warnings: angst, fluff
W/C: 3360
Ao3
A/N: Yes, I am writing this while there is a HUGE list of assignments that I am currently ignoring. Please enjoy my attempt of failing college. If you like it, please reblog and leave a comment. This is my first time writing fanfiction so I am open to criticism, but I am also a sucker for compliments. English is not my first language so if there is any mistakes please let me know.
--
She doesn’t remember ever feeling so lonely.
Of course, before all this she was always alone, living in her small apartment in the city and working in her cubicle.
But now, as she sits in an abandoned car in the middle of the desert road with the baby in her arms, she feels lonely.
Before, she didn’t know what was like to have a family, to care and rely on someone, to share your fears and joy and journey with people that care deeply about you.
So yes, before she was alone. But she wasn’t lonely. She wasn’t missing anything.
You can’t miss what you never had.
Now, while she is scare and hungry in the middle of the apocalypse holding an already asleep Judith, she feels lonely.
Now she misses her family.
She misses Carl’s laugh and jokes, and the way he would always come to her when he wanted to talk about his fears or when he wanted help to prank his father.
She misses Maggie and their late night talks in the guard tower while they were keeping watch (their apocalypse sleepover, as they like to call) when they would just pretend to be two friends in the normal world gossiping about the neighbors and boyfriends with Beth.
She misses Daryl and his shy demeanor, how he always would hunt for them even when they already had food enough as a way of showing he cares without having to say it.
She misses Glenn and his sweetness, the way he would always make sure she ate something before taking shifts clearing the fence. The way he took care of her as she was his little sister, since he found her in one of his runs back in Atlanta and toke her to the camp without questions.
She misses Michonne and her sass, they afternoon training and how she never lets anyone touch her katana but agreed in showing her how to use it.
But most of all she misses Rick.
God, she misses him so much it hurts.
Their relationship was complicated at first.
Back in Atlanta, they became friends. When he showed up, she had already formed a strong bond with Carl, so it made sense she would also become close to his parents. Lori had always trusted her with Carl when she was not around (a.k.a in the woods screwing Shane) so the boy started seeing her as a source of comfort and protection.
When he was shot back in the farm, she was by his side every day, reading and playing games until he was strong enough to leave the room.
She held him when they found out about Sofia. Dried his tears when he cried at night. She was always with him while his parents were dealing with their broken marriage.
When they lost the farm and went back in the road, she would take care of him, giving him her food and coat at night. With Lori pregnant, Rick was always looking after her, giving her his food and making sure she and the baby wore the safest they could be in the apocalypse, with monsters everywhere, so she took upon her to worry about Carl.
Rick was constantly worried about the baby, starting to lose his mind trying to find a solution to keep everyone safe. But there is so much a man can do at the end of the world.
So, one night when everybody was sleeping and he was up keeping watch, he broke down.
--
She was laying next to Carl, holding the boy, and trying to keep him warm the best she could. The others were already asleep, but she could never keep her eyes close these days. Always worried she would never open then again.
So when she heard sniffing noises she knew it was Rick, the only one awake besides her.
Carefully not to disturb the kid sleeping next to her, she stood up and when to sit next to him.
"Hey"
Rick look at her and gave her a small smile, too tired to try and hide his tears from her.
"Wanna talk about?"
He just kept looking at her and sigh. Looking at him up closely, she saw how exhausted he looked. He was thinner, his hair and beard were longer, and his eyes had dark circles around. She knew she didn’t look much better.
"I’m scared." he whispered so quietly that if she weren’t so close, she wouldn’t be able to hear it. "Everybody is counting on me and I just.. I don’t know what to do. I’m disappointing everyone."
In that moment she looked at him and she swore he never locked so small. So unsure of himself. The strong and forceful leader of the group was nowhere to be seen.
"Hey, that’s not true. We all know that you are doing your best." she told him, eager to comfort him, to take him away from those demons that was starting to craw up on his shoulders.
"What do you do when your best is not good enough?" he asks her looking so lost, hoping that she had the answers to all his questions and could fix him somehow.
She then took his wands and forced him to turn and face her, to look her in the eyes, hoping that what she had to say next could penetrate his skin and comfort him best if he had all his attention fixed on her.
"We are going to be okay, Rick. As long as we are together, we are going to be okay. We’re going to figure it out. I promise."
He just looked at her and smile, squeezing her hand but didn’t let go.
"Plus, you are going to have another baby soon. Can’t go around losing all hope now, right? If anything, we have to try harder." she tries to bring his mind in something to look forward to, something to keep going.
"Is not my baby." he says and she is more confuse than ever.
"What?"
"Is Shane’s baby." he says and his voice is so small that she thinks that she heard wrong, but the look in his face tells her she didn’t.
"Oh, Rick.."
She then takes his face in her hands and he cries harder, letting his face fall to her shoulders while she holds him.
She holds him until his tears dry, then his head movers from her shoulders to her lap and he closes his eyes while she plays with his hair until he falls asleep.
They found the prison two days later and he hugged her so hard she thought her ribs were going to break.
--
After that night, they became closer and closer. Like Carl, he starts to look for her when in need of comfort and reassurance. They would be constantly talking and making plans for update the prison, going on runs together and always having each other’s backs.
When Lori died giving birth, she didn’t allow herself to cry. The moment Maggie show up with the baby in her arms and Carl with that devastated look in his face, she knew she had to be strong for them. The tree of them.
So while Rick was grieving, she was taking care of his kids. Judith would be in her arms constantly and Carl was always on her toes. She notices that the boy was trying to hold back in front of everyone, so at night she would always bring the kids to her cell and hold a crying Carl while Judith was sleeping.
When Rick showed up looking like himself again, he came to her while she was feeding Judith. He sat besides her and watched the baby girl like she was some sort of angel in the middle of a battlefield. Too pure for this world. He then looked at her and she smiled at him and told him that it was going to be okay.
And he believed her.
After that it was natural that they would gravitate towards each other. She was taking care of his kids after all, and he was so lost that it was disorientating. The whole world was a blur, and she was the only thing keeping him grounded. She became his rock.
Every time he saw her talking with Carl, making sure he was eating, playing with him in at attempt of bringing him some sort of childhood, he felt like he could breath again. When she was holding Judith, feeding, and singing to her, he felt the ache in his chest decreasing.
Every time she would hug him, smile at him, or do anything as looking at his direction, he felt like she was the only thing holding his head above water, the only thing keeping him from drowning.
Piece by piece she collected him.
So it wasn’t a surprise when one day their hugs started to last longer, when the kisses on the cheek moved closer and closer to the mouth, when the gazes became silent conversations.
Everyone notice they pinning around each other but they knew that it was all that was going to be. Both too afraid and feeling too guilty to act on whatever was going on between them.
They needed to take things slow. It wasn’t fair to any of them to jump into something so soon after Lori’s death. It wasn’t fair to Lori, Rick, Carl. It wasn’t fair to her. So they needed time.
But that’s the thing with living in the end of the world. Time is a luxury. A privilege that you can’t really count on.
When the prison fell the only thing in her mind wore the kids. She couldn’t remember who had Judith, where Carl was, she couldn’t find anybody. She was starting to panic when she saw Judith placed on the baby chair on the floor, seconds from being eaten by a walker.
She quickly picked her up and ren as fast as she could. She ren so much until her legs started to give up. She didn’t have time to think about anything else. She just had to take her out of there.
Now she doesn’t know where she is. She doesn’t know how long is been since she left the prison. She doesn’t know if anybody else is alive, and if they are, she knew she will never find them again. She is scare and have no idea how she is gonna keep her and Judith safe.
Up until this moment, she been living from fruits and some cans she found in some abandoned cabins she crossed along the way. But she is getting weaker. She can’t really hunt without a proper weapon and a baby in her arms. She tried going in the city to scavenge some stores for food to Judith, but she was only able to collect a few things before the baby started crying and attracted walkers from every ware. After that she gave up on that idea and started looking for some place safe enough to spend a few days so she and Judith could have a proper rest.
She never allows herself to sleep when she stops to rest, afraid to wake up surrounded by walkers. So when Judith wakes up, she feeds her with the formula that is left and starts walking again. At this point she doesn’t even feel the pain in her legs anymore, is like her body is moving by himself, she is numb.
Judith seems to understand that something is wrong, never complaining, even when she is tired of being carried all the time, and when she is hungry she just pulls her hair, seeming to understand that making noises is too dangerous. Being a baby born in this world, Judith sems to have a different way of behaving that any other babies that she was ever seen. She is still to young to speak, but she makes the cute little noises as if she were trying to communicate, making the woman smile every time and pretend that she is understanding every “word”.
She is immersed in one of her conversations with Judith when she sees the sign. Stopping suddenly, she reads again and again, as if the words would change the minute she looked away and it would be all a projection of her imagination.
But it wasn’t.
So she starts running.
Even though she has her doubts about the existence of an actual sanctuary in this new world, she must check. Is the only scrum of hope after so long. And even if the said sanctuary exists, there is no guaranty that is run by good people. At this point, she has already learned to not trust the living.
So as she starts to get closer and closer to Terminus, she slows her pace not to dry attention before she has the opportunity to check the place.
But then suddenly there is an explosion and gun shots.
She holds Judith closer and tries to hide in a place that allows her to see what is happening but there is too much smoke, so she decides to stay there until is over. Even if there are good people in this place, there is not much help she can provide in this situation with a baby in her arms, and no gun. So she waits and waits until there is no more gun shots.
Judith is surprisingly calm during all this, so she decides is safe to get out of the hidden place and try to see what is going on. All kinds of things go though her mind as she walks towards a little commotion of people walking in direction of the woods, away from Terminus. She is mostly scare of crossing the way of bad people, but she has to see, the seed of hope never living her chest as she goes in direction of the first group of people that she encountered since the fall of the prison.
Maybe they are good people. Maybe they will welcome the lonely woman with the baby in her arms and offer her a place in their group. It will never be the same as being with her group, her family, but at least she would be safe, Judith would be safe.
Or maybe they are awful people and she is about to face another nightmare, another demonstration of what hell is like in the hands of the living, and all hope will be crushed again in front of her eyes.
Of all the things passing trough her mind, finding her family was definitely not one of them. Not once she thought that they wore alive and she would see them again.
At first, she thought that she was seeing things, maybe she was delirious. After all, how long can a person live without enough among of water, food and sleep and still expect to have a healthy function mind? She was going insane, that was definitely it.
But then she saw Daryl running towards Carol and everyone’s faces of surprise and relief and there was no way her mind could create that. Daryl running to hug someone? Not even her delirious mind could made that up.
She stood there paralyzed, trying to ground herself into believing that this was actually her family standing in front of her, when Judith cries draws everyone’s attention to her.
Next thing she knew Rick was running in her direction with Carl in his toes and she was being engulfed with the tightest hug she ever received in her life. Suddenly she was overwhelmed with all kinds of emotions and everything around her was Rick. The smells, the touches, she couldn’t see or think about anything that wasn’t him. After so many days, weeks (was it months? She stop counting so long ago) without knowing if he was dead, alive or something in between, she didn’t know which emotion was stronger. Relief, joy, surprise, love?
When Carl join them in the hug, she starts crying and they all fall to their knees on the ground. It was too much. Knowing that both kids were safe and in her arms was more than she could ever wish for. Her main goal during all this was to keep them safe, and to spend all this time in the road thinking that she had failed, that Carl was gone and she didn’t do anything about it was killing her more quickly than the lack of food or water ever could. Knowing now that he was alive was like receiving a tank of oxygen deep in the ocean, she could suddenly breath again.
When Rick pull back to look in her eyes her smile couldn’t be brighter.
"Sweetheart, is that you? Is it really you?"
When did she became sweetheart?
He starts to caress her face and kiss her tears away with such tenderness that she starts crying even harder. He then smiles and takes Judith of her arms as Carl takes his place, hugging her like she was the last parachute in a plane crash.
"Oh, my baby.. I thought I lost you." she says in the most maternally way there is, while caressing the boy’s hair. "You are never leaving my side again."
The boy then laughs, and her smile grows because oh, how she missed that laugh, and everything falls into place.
"Yes, ma’am." the boy says full of joy and hints of laughs on his smile. "I missed you."
"I missed you too, honey." she says. "So very much."
They get up when the rest of the group starts to approach them, each member with smiles bigger than their faces, hugging her tighter than ever before.
Then Carl take Judith in his arms and Rick starts walking towards her again, holding her face with both hands and pressing their foreheads together. He closes his eyes and smiles before pressing a kiss in her lips and she is suddenly seeing stars.
Nothing could prepare her for this moment, not every novel she once read or the songs she used to listen. There was not one thing that was ever written about love that could describe this feeling. She wasn’t even sure if she could call it love.
It was stronger.
It was the kind of thing that would get you through anything, this feeling was the most powerful thing on earth, she was sure of that. With their mouths pressed against each other, she was sure that the only thing allowing her to breath was his lungs and his blood was only circling in his body due to her heartbeat.
They were one soul in two bodies.
She entangles her fingers in his messy hair and smiles in the middle on the kiss, making him smile as well as they break the kiss.
"I can’t believe this is real. You are here, and.. and Judith is here." he then looks at her with so much admiration in his eyes that she feels shy all the sudden. "You kept my daughter safe."
"Of course I did." she’s mine too.
"I guess I should have known." he than laughs. "You’ve been protecting my kids since day one. You are like the mama bear of the apocalypse."
She than laughs and shoves him playfully.
"I am not!"
"You are, you totally are." they laugh together as she shakes her head.
"He’s right, you totally are." Carl says and she is suddenly remained that they are not alone, and that he saw her kissing his father. But she doesn’t have time to be afraid of what he might think because when she looks at him, he has the biggest smile on his face.
Rick then takes her hand and kisses her knuckles; love is his eyes and she know that her face must mirror his.
"What now?" she asks him.
"Now.. we survive."
In that moment she knows she will never fell lonely again. She found her family, her kids, her love. She was home.

Tik Tok Tyranny (Marcus Moreno x f!Reader)
Part of the Making Moves universe
Summary: Missy has become obsessed with Tik Tok. Luckily for her and not-so-luckily for you, her mini-mom adds many likes to her posts. Marcus gets roped in too.
W/C: 2.6k
Warnings: Language, Missy gets The Full Name when Marcus gets mad. otherwise it’s rlly tame.
A/N: PSHSHRHTS guys this idea has been rattling around my head and I thought it was super cute so I had to do it!! Lots of love to @leonieb for inspiring the first fic in this universe (who knows, maybe there are more to come?), @theteddylupinexperience for helping me out with all of my plot and helping me come up with this idea in the first place, and my babe @softly-sad for simping over Marcus with me and giving me some ideas!!
Missy’s Tik Tok page has been blowing up lately, and most of it is due to you.
It all started when she downloaded the app, showing you and her father the funniest ones she’d found. Many of them consisted of cute animals and bad jokes, since she inherited her father’s sense of humor. Your phone constantly dinged with new messages from Missy, sending you funny videos and recipes.
This morning, you wake to big brown eyes in a tiny head above your bed. “Good morning,” Missy sings. “We’re making a Tik Tok. Up and at ‘em!” She shouts, pulling back your covers.
You groan and roll over, finding Marcus’s side of the bed empty. “Where’s your dad?” You ask with a gravelly voice, eyes fluttering open.
“I don’t know. Doesn’t matter, he’s not gonna be in it. Actually, we do need a cameraman- Dad!” Missy hollers into the hall.
You groan and rub your eyes, reaching for your glasses. “It’s like 7, kid. How do you have so much energy? You don’t even drink coffee,” You ask her, a yawn overtaking your face.
“Because I’ve been planning this since last night,” she says with a grin, ripping the covers back once more. “Come on, please.”
Another yawn. “Fine. What are we doing, hm?” You ask her, eyes opening as you stretch out in bed.
“I’m dressing you for the day,” she sings. “You know those videos?”
“No,” you groan. “There are a lot of videos, kid.”
“You’re annoying,” she pouts and plops next to you. “Your Gen Z bestie dresses you for the day!”
Marcus walks in with two mugs of coffee, and he hands one to you. You smile and thank him and he looks at his daughter with a furrowed brow. “You’re not making her regret moving in, are you?” He teases her.
“No,” she rolls her eyes as you sip your coffee. “We’re making a tik tok. I’m gonna dress her for the day and you’re going to be our cameraman,” she tells him with a grin, handing him her phone. “Alright, let’s go,” she says and stands, hauling you up and almost making you spill your coffee.
“Damn, Missy,” you laugh and stand with her. “Okay, what do you want me to do?”
She shrugs. “Uh, wave at the camera. This will be the before shot.” Your hair is messy and tied up, your glasses perched on your nose. You’re wearing a large t-shirt belonging to Marcus and a pair of shorts. You sip your coffee and wave as Marcus records it. “Good, all is going to plan,” Missy grins and leads you along.
-
That video got a fair amount of likes; it didn’t go completely viral, but you were popular. It made Missy excited beyond belief and she insisted that you make another. “How good are you at dancing?” She asks casually over lunch.
“Oh God, Missy,” you chuckle and shake your head. “Not great, but I can move somewhat easily. What did you have in mind?”
She beams at you. “The scene from Mamma Mia where young Donna is on a boat Bill and they dance around on it!”
You both adore the Mamma Mia movies. They’re what brought you together; Missy needed a female presence in her life besides her grandmother, and one night, after being ditched by her friends, Marcus suggested she text you. You brought her to your house and the two of you watched Mamma Mia while eating pints of Ben and Jerry’s, singing along at the top of your lungs and making jokes at the movie’s expense.
It turns out that the dance isn’t overly complicated. You’ve both watched the movies so many times that it’s almost like second nature to the two of you. You’re practicing the dance to the blasting speakers in the backyard when Marcus finds the two of you. “Hey ladies,” he calls out, but you can’t hear him. The two of you are spinning each other around and laughing as you practice, Missy bonking into you and making you both stop, beaming laughing.
Marcus pulls out his phone and records it for a moment, grinning as he watches it. His two girls having the time of their lives, dancing to the Mamma Mia soundtrack in their shared home. It’s wonderful.
The dance segment ends and you both stop, catching your breath. You grin as you see Marcus and rush over to him, throwing your arms around him. You kiss his cheek before burying your face in his neck. “Hi, snuggles.” It’s your favorite name for Marcus: he’s tall and strong but so cuddly and unbearably soft. You want your arms around him at all times. “I missed you all day, stupid work,” you chuckle.
He wraps his arms around you too. “Missed you too, baby. You and Missy are two great dancers,” he chuckles.
“Please. I look like I’m dying,” you snort, lifting your head and kissing him softly on the lips.
-
That’s your second Tik Tok video to earn a favorable amount of likes: the video of the dance that Marcus took while you practiced.
The two of you make a new joint account: @missyandminimom. Mini-Mom was her new favorite term for you: you weren’t quite her stepmom yet, not married to Marcus and not a legal guardian to her. But you were like her mom. Thus, Mini-Mom was born.
The video was posted again there and got likes in the thousands, sending you into relative fame. Missy screamed every time she checked the app, her new followers exciting her far more than it excited you.
The next step, Missy decided, was that Marcus needs to be a participant. But not a willing one, or at least not a participant that appears as willing.
“Please Dad, you just need to walk through the background!” Missy begs of Marcus with wide eyes.
Marcus shakes his head but smiles. “You’re not making me dance.”
“Nope! It’ll be just the two of us dancing, and you do whatever you need to in the background. It’ll be funny!”
“Isn’t the point of those things that the people don’t know they’re being recorded?” He asks, raising an eyebrow.
“Just act like you’re not! People will think it’s hilarious, us dancing and you just walking in the background. Everyone will recognize you and we’ll get famous!”
“Fame isn’t the goal,” you clarify to Marcus and to Missy. “We just think it would be funny,” you offer up.
Marcus can’t say no to you. “Well, I suppose,” he groans, and Missy cheers and throws her arms around him.
“You’re the best! I love you so much!” She squeals, letting go and running over to where you stand. “Okay, we’re gonna count down then do the dance, you just walk through the background, stop and look, whatever.”
Marcus nods and you give Missy a high five. “Nice going,” you tease and nudge her side. “Alright, you ready?” You and Missy have been preparing the dance for the past couple of days, and you’re wearing matching outfits now.
“Yeah, here we go,” she squeals and presses the record button. She backs up next to you as the timer beeps.
You start the dance, and Marcus walks dutifully through the background a few seconds in. He stands there for a second, staring at your ass, before wandering out before you complete the dance.
“Woo!” You and Missy both shout as you walk to the camera and check out the video. The dance goes perfect, and you widen your eyes as you look back at Marcus over your shoulder. “Jesus, Marcus,” you tease.
“I got distracted,” he murmurs, blushing, and you run over to him and wrap your arms around him, jumping up and wrapping your legs around him too. He holds you up and kisses the side of your face. “You’re so good with her.”
“She makes it easy,” you laugh and bury your face in his neck.
Missy whips around with her phone and records the two of you, where you stand koala-wrapped on Marcus. “You’re so gross,” she groans and heads off to edit the video.
-
The video does, indeed, go viral, as people recognize that that’s Marcus Moreno in the background, so that must be his daughter and does he have a girlfriend now? You even found you and Missy on the cover of a digital tabloid, in a shot of you hugging. At least they were kind about you.
The next video is a prank on Marcus. You and Missy spent the day planning it, giggling nefariously as you set everything up. You replaced Marcus’s katanas at home with a pair made of plastic, meaning he can’t summon them with his powers. When he returns home, the trap is laid, and you and Missy follow a loose script.
As you cook dinner side-by-side with your boyfriend, you smile up at him. “You know, you’ve never given me a demonstration of your powers, baby,” you murmur to him and kiss his cheek, continuing to stir the ingredients you’re working on.
“Because at home, I’m just your man,” he says and kisses you softly, cupping your face with one hand. You smile into his lips, and you have to admit that you appreciate it. You didn’t realize he was a Heroic until a few weeks of being his neighbor, when it finally clicked that he wasn’t just Marcus, he and Missy weren’t just the Morenos, he was Marcus. Moreno. He always leaves his work at work and you appreciate it.
“Why are you so fucking cute?” you coo and kiss him again. “Still. Just… do the thing, please, whoosh those katanas over here?” You ask, wrapping your arms around his middle and looking up at him with big eyes.
He sighs and nods. “I suppose.” You can see Missy shooting from around the corner and you sneak her a thumbs up. He stares in concentration, holding out his hand to summon them. Damn, he must be out of practice, he thinks, focusing harder. His lip twitches in frustration as it doesn’t work. “Fuck!” He ends up shouting after a few moments where nothing works, and Missy claps a hand over her mouth.
“Dad!” She exclaims with a laugh. Marcus very rarely curses, if ever, and his eyes widen as he realizes she was filming it.
“Melissa Angélica Moreno, don’t you dare-” he threatens as he realizes what she wants to do with it. It’s going on Tik Tok, whether he likes it or not. He lunges after her and Missy squeals, launching off a chase through the house as Marcus pursues her.
-
That video got the most likes of all of them. Glimpses into celebrity lives always do, and you knew from the start that Marcus’s videos would garner lots of attention. Lots of people thirsted over him in the comments. Many duets were made of people saying they wished they were you. You only supposed it was fair; who wouldn’t want to be with Marcus?
“Baby?” You mumble late one night in bed.
“What is it?” A sleepy Marcus murmurs next to your ear.
You sigh, rolling over in his arms to face him. “I know you’re famous, and Missy’s Tik Tok isn’t helping either, but you love me, right?”
His eyes open and he frowns. “Where the hell did that come from?” He asks, pulling you closer and wrapping his arms tight around you. “Of course I do.”
There’s still a small frown on your face. “You’re a superhero. You have a ton of people who would line up to date you. Lots of options.”
He chuckles and kisses your forehead. “Baby. I fell in love with you when you were wearing a fuzzy bathrobe and drinking coffee on your porch. How could you ever question how much I love you?” He asks, voice tinged with sadness.
You feel warm inside at his words, scooting closer. “I know. I just… get insecure about it sometimes.”
“You never have to be,” he assures you and kisses your forehead. “I have never and will never love anyone more than you, except Missy. That’s a tie.”
You giggle softly. “I love you so much, baby,” you murmur into his skin.
“I love you too, cutie. Now please go the hell back to sleep.”
“More like a grizzly bear,” you grumble but smile. You fall asleep just like that, your arms around him tight and face nuzzled in his neck.
-
Two days later, Missy comes flying into your bedroom on a Sunday morning, nearly making Marcus spill his coffee. “You guys!” She squeals. “I just posted a Tik Tok that got the most likes ever, and it’s only been up for like ten hours!”
You groan and scoot away from Marcus so Missy can cuddle in between the two of you. “What did you make now, huh?” You ask as she nestles in.
Missy projects her phone to the screen. She takes your left hand and Marcus’s right, joining them and grinning. “Let me first just say… you’re welcome,” she giggles.
The video starts. my simp-erhero dad and his love🧸✨ flashes across the screen over an image of you on Marcus’s shoulders in their backyard pool.
The video rolls, and it’s about 40 seconds long. A popular love song plays in the back over clips of you and Marcus. You kissing Marcus’s cheek after he found you and Missy dancing to Mamma Mia in the backyard. You, cuddled on top of Marcus on the couch, the both of you napping. You koala-clinging to Marcus after he stared at your ass in that dancing video. Marcus kissing you softly as you cooked dinner and asked him to demonstrate his powers. The last video is of you, Marcus, and Missy at a theme park. Both you and Marcus kiss one of her cheeks in sync, making her giggle. The music fades and the video starts again.
Marcus turns to the two of you, eyes watering. He looks into your eyes first. “Did you help her make that?” He asks.
Your eyes are watering too, grinning. “No.”
He grins down at his daughter, the tears slipping from his eyes. “Missy. That is the cutest thing I’ve ever seen. What inspired you to make it?”
She has a real answer: it’s that she wanted the two of you to see your relationship the way she did. She wanted to reassure you. She’d heard you that night when you told Marcus you felt insecure.
But Missy is a snarky little preteen, 4’4” of prepubescent rage and glitter. “The likes I knew I’d get,” she shrugs and skips out of the bedroom happily.
Before you can say something loving to Marcus, he takes your face in his and kisses you slowly. You both chuckle into each other’s lips, you breaking away and looking at him with big and happy eyes. “I love you so much.”
“I love you too,” Marcus grins, pushing his glasses back up his nose. “Hey, I have a question for you. Well, it’s more of a statement.”
“Go for it,” you nod.
“We should get married,” Marcus says plainly with a smile. “I’ve already asked Missy about it, she thinks we should too. Of course, if you don’t want to, I get that. I know we haven’t been dating as long as other relationships do before marriage, and-”
“Yes,” you grin. “Let’s do it.”
He grins and kisses you, holding both sides of your face in his hands. “You know, the two of us seem to really like rash decisions.”
“They always work out in the end, don’t they?” You ask with a grin.
Marcus kisses you in response. They do, they really do. He breaks away a moment later, grinning and watery-eyed. “I still don’t know what a simp is,” he sniffles.

6 & 7 + GenGeal?
Ignore my inability to read last I requested bc I didn't realize I was supposed to send two of the prompts, whoopsie
Rules: Send me two (2) tropes from this list + a ship and I’ll describe how I’d combine them in the same story.
6. Bookshop AU
7. Florist AU
No problem with that. I misread stuff all the time.
Angeal and Genesis were childhood friends. Emphasis on were. They did everything together for years. Then it changed. It was a combination of multiple things. Genesis's parents didn't really approve of Genesis being best friends with their gardener's son. They started pushing the two apart. Then Angeal's father died very suddenly...and it changed Angeal. Genesis didn't like it. He wanted things to go back to the way they were. Later he'd realize he was an ass and had no idea what death or grief really meant. Angeal broke off the friendship, telling Genesis he was mean now and he didn't want to see him anymore. Genesis was infuriated by that and swore he'd never forgive Angeal. He lied about that. When he heard Angeal and his mother were moving he ran over before they left and told Angeal he was sorry and please not to go. Angeal smiled and said he forgave him, but he was leaving because he was going to school somewhere else. They hugged goodbye, but Genesis still felt betrayed for some reason.
Genesis spent a lot of his teenage and young adult life being a "disappointment" to his parents. He didn't like business, had no interest in being a doctor, and hated the idea of practicing law. Those were his three options. Instead he lost himself in his school library and began to believe in the power of books more than money. Books told truths and lies, stories and histories and each had a power for a different person. He loved them, he wanted to share that. His parents completely cut him off when he said he was opening a bookshop. He didn't care. He lived above it for three hard years, barely making ends meet, but he had the books and he felt happy for the first time since he lost his friend. But through enough hard work, his shop starts to have some success. He gets very proud of his shop, especially when he expands. Then again when he adds several tiny libraries to the front.
Genesis was eyeing the lot down the road when it was suddenly snatched up. He was only a little bitter about that. At least it wasn't a rival bookshop. He grumbled when he saw a good half get dug up and some plants starting to come in next to the building. It was a some sort of greenhouse. He'd have to close a lot of his windows now or he'd get infested with bugs. He feels like a snoop watching the building and garden go up. Once the sign is there Genesis has a pretty good idea who his neighbor is: It's a flower shop, they grow and sell their own flowers. Not really competition. Genesis even thinks maybe they're get more people on the street for his books. But he pretends he's not happy about it.
He gets more pissy when a help wanted sign goes up about the same time as he's putting his up. He just now is getting enough to get some help and now the flowers are getting more takers than him. Luckily, Genesis does get his help with a young Tifa Lockhart, wanting out of the bartending business. She's tough and strong and is just great with customers. The flower shop gets some girl to really tend the garden. Genesis still doesn't know who is the real owner, at least not until he gets bumped into restocking one of the libraries out front. He's carrying some boxes when he nudges into Genesis on accident. He apologises and Genesis sees...someone really familiar. "Angeal...Hewley?" he says, not believing his eyes. Angeal smiles and nods, but doesn't seem to recognize Genesis in turn and keeps going. Genesis is super pissed about that.
Genesis ire doesn't really fade when Angeal steals his tiny library idea and put out little baskets of his flowers for people walking by to just take. Genesis sends Tifa out to take some. She does a great job making a pretty floral arrangement on the libraries. Unfortunately, Tifa keeps running into Angeal's helper...and the two hit it off almost immediately. How is Genesis supposed to keep this petty war alive if Angeal and Aerith are so goddamn nice? He really admits Aerith is nice, she brings a bunch of flower books for the libraries and it really adds a nice touch. Angeal keeps giving Genesis friendly waves, though never really greets him. That just steams Genesis. How dare Angeal forget him and then just pretend it's not a big deal.
Genesis goes out to refresh the flower displays for the tiny libraries...when he notices a new book is there. Some passages are marked. He looks up at his flowers...then at the book, then back at the flowers. His temper flares up. He stomps over to the flower shop and bursts in interrupting Angeal and Aerith. "If you wanted to tell me something you didn't have to use your dumb secret flower language." Angeal smiles, "well I wanted to get your attention properly Genesis." "I KNEW YOU REMEMBERED ME YOU LIAR," Genesis explodes. Angeal laughs. He and Genesis hug, one to make up for almost ten years apart. Angeal is so proud of Gen's bookshop, it's exactly what he hoped Genesis would be up to. Genesis demands he come over often enough to make up for this god-awful prank. But he seems happy when Angeal agrees.

i remember thinking i had you
Summary: Based on the request sent in by @peter-maximoffsbitch “Hey! I saw your requests were opened and I wanted to ask if you could write a Peter x reader on a lazy Sunday morning? Ya know just some sweet domestic bliss ♡ Thank you!”. I started off doing the domestic bliss/lazy Sunday thing, then I ended up getting carried away because I couldn’t help myself. So this has that sweet domestic bliss side, but it also has a touch of angst and then back to happy bliss.
Warnings: Spoilers for WandaVision
Pairing: Evan Peters!Peter Maximoff/Quicksilver x Reader
Word count: roughly 4,537
A/N: Was I totally listening to August by Taylor Swift while writing this first half? Yes. Yes I was. Also, your powers in this are supposed to be like Rouges, but it was sort of hard for me to describe them without saying her name as an example lol. Also this is my first time writing for Peter Maximoff/Quicksilver, so sorry if it is a little rough in some places. I hope this is what you’re looking for and a little more! Let me know what you think, feedback is always welcome!
Peter woke up laying almost exactly how he’d fallen asleep. His head resting on you, arms tucking behind your back. Only this time, instead of singing a soft melody in his ear as you brushed your fingers through his hair, you sat reading a book. Peter rolled over so he could look up at you,
“Morning.” He said through a yawn.
“Morning.” You smiled down at him, peaking past your book, only briefly. Putting your free hand back into his hair, causing him to melt into your hand and let out a content hum.
“I love it when you do that.”
“Oh, trust me, I know.” You let out a small giggle. He reacted the same way every time you went to touch his hair. A simple sigh of relaxation, a content hum, and a visible relaxation in his body.
“Whatcha reading?” He asked, eyes closed so he could fully appreciate your presence.
“A Tale of Two Cities. It’s for the literature class I’m taking.”
“Is it any good?”
“I think so. It’s pretty interesting, especially considering it’s partially based on real events.”
“Will you read it out loud?” He requests, you nod and pick-up where you left off. He lays patiently while you somewhat stumble your way through the book. It’s written with some older slang terms, making some of it hard for you to read quickly through, but Peter didn’t care. He cared about listening to the fluctuation in your voice telling him how you were reacting to a certain event, cared about your breath going in and out, cared about your steady heartbeat under his head. These were the only moments he could be completely still when awake. When you grounded him, allowing him to take things slow and appreciate every single moment of life. The sun was shining in on your skin, lighting you up in a way that seemed almost angelic. It was pure bliss.
The warm memory of that delicate August morning helped you wake with a smile on your face. The first time you’d genuinely smiled in weeks. It has been too long since you felt the warmth Peter brought to you, too long since you woke to his snoring vibrating through your chest, too long since you got to run your hands through his hair and hear his sigh of content. It’s been about three weeks since he disappeared. No one knows where he is still and how to get in contact with him. The last time you saw him you were sitting out in the front lawn of the school with his head in your lap as he listens to his music through his headphones while you worked on homework. You’d taken a break to stare at a nearby bumble bee landing on a flower. It was calming.
“I’ll be right back” Peter said, getting up with a confused look on his face.
“Where are you going?” You started to ask but was cut off by him zooming away. You shrugged and went back to looking at the bee, he wouldn’t be gone long. You were wrong though; he was gone long. He never came back.
You wiped away the tears forming on the brim of your eyes. You thought you had all the time in the world with Peter. You never thought he would leave you, especially not like this.
“Y/N”
You jumped, scared out of your mind. Sitting up and looking around like a madwoman. It was his voice.
“Peter?” You called out to him. “Jean? Is this some sick prank? Because I can tell you it’s not funny.”
“Y/N help me.” Peter called out to you.
“How? Where are you?” You asked quietly, realizing the voice was definitely not Jean, she could get into your head, but not like this.
“Come to me. I need your help.” Peter’s voice started to fade.
“No… Come back, tell me how to find you!” You start panicking. But just as quickly as the voice came, it was gone. You frustratingly fell back onto your pillow, almost trying to slam yourself into unconsciousness. At least there you would be with Peter. But what was that voice? You ran through the obvious thoughts, ‘I’m going crazy. It couldn’t have been him. Simply me imagining things because I was dreaming about him.’ But something about those excuses didn’t sit right with you. ‘Maybe Peter was reaching out? Maybe he found a way to contact me, like cerebro? Maybe that’s the key!’ You quickly jumped out of bed and ran to the long hallway where the device is kept. Your powers were confusing, in the way that you had no idea what the limit was. You were able to “absorb” other abilities. You wouldn’t take them from them, but you were able to use them if you touched the person and concentrated. At this point you were able to do a lot of the basics that could help you get to Peter. You had Jean’s telepathy, Kurt’s teleportation, Peter’s super speed, and your own strength and skill from training, you could get to him and save him. In your rush, you hadn’t even realized you bumped into Beast.
“Hey kid, what’s the hurry?” He asked you, startled.
“I have to find Peter.” You said, a wild look had over-come you, in your right-out-of-bed look.
He began to question you further, but you just began running. With Peter’s speed, you got there in a matter of seconds. Students weren’t really allowed in this area unless with Charles, but you could care less right now. You were getting Peter back. You broke into the room and quickly put on the helmet, homing in on his voice in your memory. You searched and searched when finally, it became clear again. He was calling out to you again.
“Come on Pete you gotta give me something to work with.” You searched his distant and fuzzy mind for anything that could give you a location. You saw that he was currently talking to a woman named Agnes. You couldn’t hear what she was saying but based on the worry pressing in on you from his mind, you figured it wasn’t too good. “Pete, I need you to look around the room for me. I have to be able to clearly visualize where I’m going.” Through Peter’s eyes you saw the room as he quickly looked away from the woman. It wasn’t much, but it might just be enough. You took cerebro off and clearly visualized Peter, that woman, and the room they were in.
You landed with a cloud of blue hanging in the air. Right in front of you was Peter and the woman you assumed was holding Peter hostage in some way.
“Peter!” You ran to hug him, but he just stumbled backwards.
“Woah there toots. You don’t waste any time, do you?”
“Who are you?” The woman Agnes asked, grabbing your arm.
“My name is Y/N and I’m here to take my boyfriend home, even if it means I have to kill you.”
She began cackling, “Kill me? Honey I’m hundreds of years old. You couldn’t kill me in your dizziest daydreams.” She still held your arm, you began concentrating, seeping her power into your body. Allowing you to feel how powerful she was. But at least now the fight would be even.
“So, what are we gonna do with you? I can’t have you running around telling people who he is. No, I need him to play his part well.”
“What did you do to him? What do you mean play his part?”
“Well, you see honey, I need your little boy toy here to be my eyes and ears.”
“He’s under your control? So, he doesn’t remember me?” Your heart cracked a little at the thought. You didn’t even need her to confirm this, you could see into his mind and see the haze over his memories from home.
“Mhmmm, how about this. I could use you both if we go about this the right way. So, Pietro dear,” Peter’s eyes flickered away from you to her. “Stick to the plan, introduce yourself on the show tonight. And you little lady are going to be the new neighbor in town, introducing yourself tomorrow, so you can keep a watch from a distance, and if Pietro here were to fail, you could swoop in and take over.”
“What am I supposed to be watching for?” You asked.
“I need some information out of his sister Wanda, and you two are going to help me get it, or you’re never going home.”
The next day you woke up in an unfamiliar bed. Looking around, you saw Halloween decorations everywhere, and in your closet a single costume. You were going to dress up as a cowgirl. You rolled your eyes, “how original” you muttered to yourself. While Agnes thought she had put you under the same spell as Peter, she was very wrong. You were able to block her out but played the part of brain-washed zombie well enough she let you and Peter go. You didn’t dare say anything other than a good night to Peter as he went to this Wanda’s house and you went a house over from Agnes’s. You got ready and went down to the first floor of your new home to find a snoring Peter laying sprawled out on your couch. ‘This is it’ You thought, my chance to take him and never look back. But what would stop Agnes from following you? She found Peter once. You knew if you planned on making it out of here, you had to make it through today like she planned. Then you might be able to bargain yours and Peter’s freedom or even just make a break for it. You walked around to the front of the couch and sat cross-legged in front of Peter. You missed him so much, but it seems he’s been unable to even think about you other than the subconscious plea he called to you with. You ran your hand through his hair and saw a small smile tug at the corner of his mouth. He released a soft sigh and you saw his visibly tense shoulders relax.
“You found me” He muttered.
“Peter?” You gasped; does he remember?
“Who else would it be? Jesus?” He laughed at his own joke and you let out a sob that you’d been holding in for way too long. His eyes shot open and before you knew it, he was up and pulling you into his lap on the couch, holding you close. He began drawing shapes on your back, trying to calm you. “Shhh… it’s okay. I’m here now, and I’m not leaving your side until we get out of this hell on earth.” Your shoulders shook with the force of your crying. After a couple minutes, you were able to calm yourself and wipe your eyes dry. “Better?” He asks, pushing your hair back from your face. You nod your head, “Good, because we have a big day ahead of us. Playing along with Agnes’s little game, then getting the hell out of dodge.”
You and Peter headed over to Wanda’s house together. On the way, he caught you up on the things he was supposed to do, pretending to be Wanda’s brother and convincing her to tell him how she created this fake little world. You were holding his hand up to the point of Wanda’s front door. Peter dropped your hand and you felt he warmth slowly seeping out of you again as he turned around and said “showtime” to you.
He rang the doorbell, and it was answered by a small child, probably the age of 10. “Uncle P!”
Peter ran into the house, throwing the boy and the other one nearby over his shoulders. He ran them round and round in circles as they playfully screamed and laughed their heads off.
“Someone better be bleeding or dying.” A woman came down the stairs dressed in a red costume. She stopped when she saw you awkwardly standing in the doorway. You could feel her trying to get inside your head, so you gave her slight access. Enough to see you were new in town and Peter was helping you meet new people after he bumped into you on the street.
“And who is this?” Wanda referenced you, as if she didn’t know.
“Oh, this lovely lady here is Y/N. I met her on my way to your house this morning and she’s new, so I thought why not introduce her to some neighbors.” Peter said as he put the boys down and zoomed next to you, putting a hand on your back to slightly push you forward to greet Wanda.
You felt a blush rise to your cheeks at the ‘lovely lady’ comment, ‘good, she’ll believe our story of being strangers’ you thought in the back of your mind, somewhere you weren’t letting her gain access to. You held you hand out to her and she took it with slight hesitation, but when you showed her you meant no harm, she relaxed slightly. In that brief moment though, you were able to gain even the slightest access to her powers, and you took the oppourtunity.
“Wanda” She told you.
“It’s nice to meet you Wanda. I just live two houses down actually, so we were bound to bump into each other at some point.” You let out a small innocent giggle, “But Pietro here was just bursting with energy at the chance of bringing me to meet you.” Wanda gave a smile to Peter and quickly noticed his hand still resting on your back. You could see in her mind that she was picking up the idea that Peter thought you were cute and wanted to impress you.
“Why don’t you join us for trick-or-treating tonight? You could meet more people around town, and by the looks of it you’re already dressed for the occasion.” She waved at your cowgirl get-up.
“Yeah, I was hoping I wouldn’t be the only one dressing up all day. Love that costume by the way, so cute on you!” You complemented her.
“What are you supposed to be mom?” One of the boys asked,
“Old red riding hood?” The other one seemed to finish the thought.
Peter snickered, “I’m actually a Sakovian fortune teller.” She said forming an invisible crystal ball with her hands.
“That’s so cool!” One of the boys said at the same time that Peter seemed to say “Lame”, the boy quickly fixing his previous statement, and copying the “lame”.
“It’s worse than the costumes mom made for us the year we got typhus.” Then the strangest thing happened. It was a flashback, that all of you could see, playing in your head. Peter did mention that we were on some sort of TV show Wanda created, so maybe it was supposed to be a character flash back?
“That’s not exactly how I remember it.”
“You probably suppressed a lot of the trauma”
Just then the boys grabbed your hands and pulled you away from Peter and Wanda.
“Wanna see our new game?” They asked, even though their determined pulling you away was more like “Come see our new game, now.” But, of all the people you’ve met so far, these two boys had the purest minds. They weren’t clouded by anything or anyone, they weren’t being controlled, so you knew their question wasn’t scripted or forced, just them being kids.
They pulled you to sit down on the ground with them on either side as they showed you how to play with them. You kept an eye on Peter’s mind, and you saw that he was smiling at you and the boys. Wanda’s mind was slightly louder than the clouded Peter, and she was now looking between you and Peter curiously. You looked a little bit deeper into her mind and realized she was suspicious of Peter. He didn’t look like her actual brother, or even act like him. But she was starting to put that aside, since he had given her no real reason to not trust him yet. She was now fascinated though, with his reaction to you. She could tell he acted different when he turned his attention to you.
You quickly left Wanda’s mind, sensing that she was starting to feel someone in her head. Peter zoomed over to you, sitting on the coffee table, resting his legs on either side of your torso. He wrapped his arms around you and helped you play the game by putting his hands over yours.
“Hey! No cheating Uncle P!” The boy who introduced himself as Billy said.
“It’s not cheating, just teaching!” He put his hands up in self-defense. But quickly replaced them over yours to help you get ahead of the boys again.
Just then, you heard someone else come down the stairs. You heard his conversation with Wanda, and gathered he was her husband and the twins’ father. Wanda told him about you being new in town, and you saw in her mind her leaning closer to his ear and saying, “I think Pietro has a crush on her.” And pulling back from him with a smirk on her face. The man named Vision gave a soft “ahh” and nodded in understanding. As soon as Peter had rushed behind you, he was gone.
“Sweet costume bro-ham-in-law. Let me guess, traffic light? Half-shucked corn? A booger!”
“Yes…” Vision said, clearly over Peter, but you couldn’t help but let out a laugh.
Peter pumped his fist in the air and came back behind you and continued to help you play the game, but that was after he handed all three of you sodas and showed them how to shotgun it. “One, two, three, go!” Peter exclaimed as you all tried to down it as fast as you could. You actually finished first and turned around to smash the can into Peter’s head. You were able to do it fairly easy, and you heard the thought run through Wanda’s mind, ‘Wow, she’s pretty strong… I wonder… No. I would see it in her head’. You turned back around making sure to go at a normal speed. The last thing you needed was for her to find out you were a mutant and hiding something from her.
Later on in the day, you, Wanda, Peter, Tommy and Billy began walking through the streets, on the hunt for candy. Peter was running around with the boys, leaving you and Wanda alone to talk. It was then that you felt the presence of Agnes in your mind. You made sure to keep the conversation light, to not make Wanda suspicious, but to maybe hint towards the information you needed.
“So, what made you come to Westview?” Wanda asked.
“I started thinking about moving about a month ago, this was close to the city, but not too close, and it had some good property up for sale. So, I took a leap of faith and ended up here.” You smiled at her, “What about you? How long have you been here?”
“Oh, not long, just came here to start a family and live sort of mundane suburban lives you always hear are so great and perfect.” She laughed lightly to herself.
“How’d you meet Vision?” You could feel Agnes approving of your questions in your head, encouraging you to go on.
“Oh, ummm… We were friends before we got together, so I’ve known him for a while.” Agnes was getting frustrated at how vague Wanda’s answers were. “Pietro seems to have his eye on you.” Wanda pointed out Peter standing behind the kids as they were grabbing candy from a couple, watching you and Wanda closely.
“Quite literally” You chuckled.
“I’ve never seen him act the way he does with you. You… slow him down. Not in a bad way of course, but you can tell from the way he’s been acting around you, it’s like he’s scared to let you go. Like you’ll disappear. Are you sure you just met this morning?”
“Yeah, but he did talk a million miles an hour before he brought me over to your house, so I feel like I got his whole life story” You laughed, feeling Wanda’s suspiciousness suppressing for the time being.
You took over walking with the boys for a bit while Peter tried taking a shot at getting some information out of Wanda.
“You’re very confusing.” Billy said to you.
“Why’s that?” You asked, looking down to the boy staring at you confused.
“You have a bunch of different voices in your head.”
You raised your eyebrows in surprise, “You can read minds like your mom?”. Great one more person you had to block your thoughts from.
Billy nodded his head in hesitation, “I think, I’m not sure. It didn’t start until just now. It’s like all of the sudden I can hear everything and it’s a lot. It kind of hurts.”
“Here, let me show you a trick” You got down to his eye level and said, “close your eyes, take a deep breath in, then out. Focus on the sound of one voice, my voice. I know you said I have a couple but pick the loudest one and stick with it. Follow it like a string. Open your eyes.” Billy did as you said, “Better?” He nodded and smiled.
“How did you know how to do that?”
“Well between you and me, I have a few tricks up my sleeve too.” You put a shushing finger over your mouth and then cut your thoughts off from him.
“I can’t hear you anymore.”
“I know, because I’m not letting you. If you want to focus on someone else you can, if it helps. Or the voice you focus on is your own. Tune the others out and just think about your own thoughts. It can be hard when you have loud thoughts around you, like your Uncle P. His thoughts are the loudest in the area. But after some practice, you’ll be a pro just like your mom.”
Billy smiled up at you as he realized just how loud Peters thoughts actually were.
The trick-or-treating was going by pretty quick especially with Peter eventually taking over permanently and zooming around the town with the boys. You were walking with Wanda again.
“I heard you helped Billy.” Wanda said to you, “How did you know how to control the mind reading?”
“Oh, just a trick I picked up from a friend of mine.”
Wanda narrowed her eyes at you a little, “You’re lying. You’re blocking me out and hiding something. I can feel it.”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about. Really. I have a friend who can read minds and she told me how she controls it and how she focuses.”
“Then why are you shutting me out?”
“Because I don’t like people being in my head. I’ve got too much going on as it is.”
“Who are you?” Wanda stopped you and held you still with her magic.
“My name is Y/N and I’m new in town. I can promise you, I mean you and your family no harm.”
“Then show me your mind. Completely.”
You sighed and let Wanda in your mind. She saw everything, from when you got here, to your life back with the XMen, your life with Peter. The only thing she didn’t get access to were your memories of Agnes. You assumed Agnes herself put a lock and key on them in case this exact thing happened.
“So, you’re here for Pietro or Peter as you call him. I knew there was something off about you two.”
“Please, we will leave with no fuss. Just let me take him home.” You pleaded with her.
“Fine, but I doubt your teleporting power will work to get you out of here. It’s not strong enough.”
“Don’t worry, I’ll be able to get out. I also possess some of your magic. The exact type of magic that will let me and Peter through safely.”
“Leave.” Wanda gave you a threatening stare, not too happy with the idea of your magic matching hers. You used Peter’s superspeed to get to him as quick as you could.
“Hey Pietro, can I interest you in a late-night stroll through the park?” You asked him, trying to stay casual.
“Why of course m’lady.” Peter stuck his elbow out for you to grab. “Why don’t you two demons catch up with your mom.”
“Ahhh, really?” Tommy whined.
“Hey, stay cool. When a pretty lady wants to take you somewhere, you follow suit.” He winked at them.
“Dad?” Billy randomly burst out in a confused tone, “Dad!” He started to panic.
“What’s wrong Billy, what do you see?” You asked him.
“I can’t tell, he’s too far away.” By now Wanda had made her way over to her freaking out child.
“Focus. Follow the string. Follow his voice.” You told him
“He’s hurt. There are a bunch of soldiers around him.”
Wanda tensed up and her eyes started glowing red.
“Relax sis, it’s not like your dead husband could die twice.” Peter said, trying to diffuse the situation, only it did the exact opposite. Wanda whipped around and shot a red blast his way.
“I said leave!” She yelled at you. You nodded your head and zoomed over to where Peter landed. He was unconscious, but you pulled him in your arms and using the combined magic of Wanda and Agnes, and your teleportation, you thought of home and pulled the two of you out of there. You were worried at first that Agnes might try to stop you since you weren’t successful in your mission to get information out of Wanda, but she didn’t stop you. You assumed it was because Wanda knew you two were not who you said you were, so you wouldn’t be helpful anyways.
You woke up lying in your own bed at home again. For the first time, in a long time, Peter was lying next to you. He was awake already and was watching you carefully.
“How are you feeling?” He asked as he push your hair off your forehead.
“Better now that we’re home. How did I get in bed?” You specifically remember teleporting you and Peter to Charles’ office so you could tell him what happened.
“When we got back you collapsed from the effort. Charles said your mind was awake, but tired and you used too much magic and power for what you’re used to. I was so scared you killed yourself.”
You shook your head, trying to remember anything after you left Westview, but you just couldn’t, “How long have I been out?”
“About two days. I’ve been so restless, just waiting for you to open your eyes. Poor Jean, I kept finding her to read your mind and make sure you hadn’t died. You were scary still.”
“Well, I’m awake now, and you’re home with me. That’s all that matters.” You pulled his head onto your chest and started to play with his hair. He hummed in content and relaxed into your body.
“I know I just slept for two days, but do you mind if we just stay in today?” You asked him.
“We can do whatever you want.” You could feel a smile forming on his face, against your skin.
“What I want to do first though, is pee.” You rushed to the bathroom, letting Peter’s face flop into the bed as you shut the door behind you. You heard him laughing. It was so good to hear his laugh again. To feel his warmth linger on your skin, and knowing when you returned he would still be there. That’s all you’ve wanted for the past three weeks.

Understand and Be Free pt.2
Billy Loomis x Plus size!reader
Word Count: 1717 words
Warnings: standard horror imagine stuff, talk about murder, you know where you are.
Summary: Having a hard time with what Billy is asking of you
Part 1
——————————————————————————————————
The street was quiet as you pulled in, with not so much as a streetlight in sight. The nearest neighbors house was at least a mile and a half from the driveway, and after ditching the car in the woods off the street, you found yourself in the middle of nowhere.
All of a sudden, it all made sense.
At first, you had no idea why Stu was so insistent that tonight had to be the night, and it had to be Casey Becker.
No one would be able to hear her screams this far away and there would be no way for anyone to help her once it started. No one would make it in time. The very idea made you want to be sick
...But it would be a lie to say that it didn't bring you a little comfort to know that at least they had thought it all through.
You found yourself staring at the gravel as you walked from the car, the crunching beneath your sneakers bringing you some semblance of control. In a way, it grounded you and made you feel a little more human. You really were just a terrible person for even entertaining the idea of what was going to happen here tonight.
Still, before you could dive too deep into a moral dilemma, Billy spoke, his voice shaking you from the dark myriad of thoughts swarming your head.
"You and I will stay over here, until it's almost done and then I want you to finish it" he suggested, handing you the small handgun from his waistband. It was so casual, almost as if he was checking off a task from his to do list.
For you however, when the cold metal touched your skin, you felt as if you were coming to terms with everything you'd ever done wrong in your life. Surely there would be some consequences for this.
There had to be, right?
There was no one to stop you from just marching up to her front door and shooting her square in the chest physically but there was a reason people just didn't go around murdering. It wasn't right, and that had to count for something.
At least, you thought so.
When you looked over at Billy, you could see that there was nothing plaquing him. It truly was as if he was just running an errand or something. he didn't seem to register the severity of what he'd planned, even in the darkness.
It was sadistic, and sick, but you took the gun nonetheless, ignoring the churning in your stomach. You had never shot one before but Billy had promised to help you when the time came.
Until then, all you had to do was sit back and wait. Stu had made it very clear that he wanted to take care of most of it, you were just along for the ride.
For him, this was some personal vendetta. He and Billy just wanted to get 'Ghostface's' kills up as most as they could but killing Casey specifically didn't mean anything to Billy. It was the lankier of the two's idea, and it just happened to work out.
She lived on the edge of town and with her parents attending a swanky dinner tonight, it just seemed to line up perfectly for their murder spree.
You followed Billy's lead, crouching down behind one of the bushes by the pool house. It gave you a clear view of her kitchen through those glass windows in the back without looking strange to her.
Your breaths were hollow and short, hardly containing your stress as you watched. It had a similar affect to a car accident or a house fire, where you wanted to look away but you just couldn't drag your eyes away.
There was nothing even remotely normal about what was happening, and you weren't about to pretend that it was. Instead, you kept your body tight, as if you were stuck in your own invisible little box, and didn't move.
All you could do was stare at the scene unfolding in front of you.
Stu stood there, dressed in that stupid grim reaper costume with a butchers knife at his side, peering in one of the windows. It was hardly enough to stress you out on its own but more than anything, the idea of what was to come made it worse.
You could hardly hear the phone ringing from inside, and while you didn't think anything of it at first, that all changed when you heard Billy's voice beside you, except it wasn't his voice.
After one quick glance over at Stu again to make sure he hadn't moved, you glanced over at Billy to see what he was doing. This whole thing almost seemed like a dream until you realized he had a voice-changer held to his lips, altering the sound of his tone into the phone.
Something about that gravelly tone made this all real.
You had heard this part of his plan, but you hadn't been expecting it. You had no idea what it would be like until now. You had to experience it to really know.
Without missing a beat, you turned toward the house again, feeling as if your neck was on a swivel between the two men. Across the yard, you saw Casey pick up the phone, fiddling with the knives in the block on her island. She had no idea what was going to happen, but she would soon enough.
Billy started by asking her what her favorite scary movie was, which sparked what almost seemed like a lighthearted conversation between them. Anyone looking in might have just felt like it was a casual exchange.
However, you knew better.
You got to witness the change in her face when she figured out that she was in danger. You saw the exact moment when she started to get scared, and realizing this wasn't just some prank call.
You were frozen in fear as you watched Stu enter her house through the side door, watching Casey run toward the front door to make sure it was locked.
It was hard not to feel for her, to feel that fear for her, but you tried your best to suspend reality until this was over. You assumed that was why Billy and Stu could do it. They didn't think about them as human.
Maybe it was easy for them, but you could hardly keep your nausea at bay.
All you could think about was how you would feel if you were in her place and the guilt was killing you. Maybe you couldn't have done anything to stop them but you definitely didn't have to sit here watching it.
This was on you, as far as you were concerned.
You loved Billy and you always would, but you weren't sure if you could be a part of this area of his life. The very idea of what you were taking part in was killing you.
"I have a surprise for you"
At your side, you could hear Billy's voice registered in your mind but you could hardly express any kind of emotion as you looked over at him, ignoring the muffled screams from inside the house.
You doubted it was any surprise you wanted, and that suspicion was only confirmed when she flicked on the porch light. You panicked instinctively at first, worried that she would see you but her attention was focused elsewhere.
That was when you saw it.
You had been so caught up in everything else before now, worried about getting caught and feeling like a terrible person that you hadn't even seen the body there in the dark, tied to a chair.
"Who is that? Did you do that?" you gasped, hardly making out the shape of a male though you couldn't tell if he was alive or not. You had no idea what was going on, and Billy did little to make you feel better.
Instead, he whispered something about you waiting here and took off into the dark once again, after he'd instructed for Casey to turn the light off again.
You had no clue what he was doing, and seriously considered just taking off now but before anything, the light flicked on again and once more, Casey screamed. Best you could tell, Billy had just gutted her QB boyfriend Steve.
...Oh god.
You kept it together alright until he showed back up at your side, now with his hands covered in blood. In his right hand, was a knife, one that you could only think about lodged into your stomach right now.
That was when you threw up.
Until that moment, it had all been talk and a little bit of creepy stalking around but Billy had just killed someone right in front of you. That was when it was real, and you knew that there was no going back.
No matter what happened now, you were guilty.
"Hey, hey, are you alright?" Billy cooed, whispering to you in the darkness. He slowly knelt down beside you, doing his best to calm you down with a hand on your chin, subsequently smearing Steve's blood on your flesh.
It smelled like dirt copper, and was the sort of thing that triggered a panic response in you even if you knew it wasn't your blood. Even so, you ignored it, taking a few deep breathes as you tried to compose yourself.
"Are you okay?" he repeated, you were tense and it was obvious that you weren't but you nodded nonetheless. Clearly, he had several issues but you knew he cared about you and was really worried.
He understood why you were struggling.
You were new to this and you might have needed a break. He had to keep that in mind. The least he could do was distract you for a few minutes while Stu did all the dirty work. Billy wanted you to understand why he did the things he did, but he didn't want to really affect you too negatively. He may have been sick, but he still loved you.
He just also didn't want you to think that he was a monster.
That was the worst part of this whole thing, that you were here on your own, because you fell in love with a literal murderer.

Sunday
I wished Namjoon and I could go on a long vacation somewhere. I barely saw him since he had started working at night. He seemed so distracted these days - his company had just landed a big project, so he had to work overtime. Yesterday I came home from work and he was just leaving for his office. He gave me a quick peck on the lips, and then he was gone. That’s all the action I’ve gotten since the Halloween fiasco, to say that we went wild would be an understatement.
We had attended a friend’s Halloween party. I had dressed as a slutty demon and Namjoon had gone as a priest. My red dress had been so short, it barely covered anything. Halfway through the party Namjoon had finally snapped and dragged me back to our apartment. Needless to say, the sex was incredible. He had quite gotten into his role and incoherently grunted in Latin as things got heated. I had no idea what he was mumbling, but I was too far gone to care.
That was a month ago. Unfortunately, after that I’d barely seen my boyfriend in the house, or anywhere else for that matter.
Monday
I could barely sleep last night. I went to bed after a lonely dinner. I’ll admit to being a little tipsy after all that wine but in my defense, I missed my boyfriend. As soon as the lights turned off, I heard this scratching noise coming from the walls. I tried to ignore it, I really did, but the thought of rats running around in my apartment brought goosebumps on my skin. Our building was really old and the landlord never really did any TLC, one of the reasons we got this apartment cheap. What if there were raccoons in there? I shivered at the thought.
After about two hours of that unholy noise, I couldn’t ignore it any longer. I got up, turned on the lights and armed myself with a broom. I lightly tapped the broom on the wall, maybe the noise would scare them into leaving. After a few more taps the scratching stopped, thank Lord for that. I didn’t want to go sleep in the living room or call our shady landlord.
I glanced at the clock when I went back to bed. It was almost six in the morning. How the hell did that happen? I remember waking up at midnight. Did I fall asleep? Somehow I’d lost a few hours. I bet it was the exhaustion and stress taking over my wine addled brain.
Tuesday
We had this really romantic dinner planned at our favorite restaurant. Namjoon said he’d pick me up from work and I was so excited for it, but he called at the last minute to cancel. His boss had called him in early to work on some presentation. It is safe to say I was extremely upset, and rightly so. I’d barely seen my boyfriend for a month, even texting him was getting annoying. I’d ask him something and by the time he replied I’d already be fast asleep. One dinner, was that too much to ask for?
I couldn’t help but feel disgruntled at how things turned out. Even though I knew Namjoon missed me just as much as I missed him, I couldn’t help but feel unwanted. It was illogical and petty, and the moment the thought crossed my mind I felt guilty. He worked so hard and here I was bitching about him.
Dinner was a sad affair, I was too upset to cook anything, so I ordered some chicken and drowned my sorrows in beer. I was about to fall asleep when I heard a light knocking on the door. I thought maybe Namjoon was back early, my sleep addled brain didn’t wonder why he’d knock when he knew the door code. I opened the door with excitement, only to be disappointed at the empty space in front of me. There was no one at the door. Either someone played a prank on me at this unholy hour or I missed my boyfriend so much that I imagined the knock, either way, it was disheartening.
I went back to bed in hopes of a quiet night. I hadn’t slept properly for two days. To say that I was exhausted would be an understatement. Sleep deprivation coupled with being a kindergarten teacher who had to run around all day after toddlers was taking its toll on my body.
Another knock came, but this time it sounded much closer. I squinted my eyes at the darkness - was I imagining things again? Heavy curtains covered the bedroom window. I could barely see anything in the room. Was I so lonely that I was hearing phantom noises now?
I turned on the lamp after a third knock. It came from the left wall. Rats don’t know how to knock, do they? I got up from the bed with a shiver. The bedroom was cold, I could see my breath in front of me. I gingerly touched the wall, it was just a wall, what did I expect? This time I could feel the vibrations when the knock came again, much louder. I ran back to bed, dread settling in my bones. What if there was some homeless person behind it? It was an irrational thought, I knew that, but I couldn’t help the fear.
I tried to call Namjoon but it only went to voicemail. And what would I even tell him? That there was someone inside our bedroom wall? The whole situation seemed ridiculous but at the same time the knocking only got louder. I huddled in my blanket waiting for it to stop. The knocking had turned to pounding, the sound reverberating through my skull. Surely our neighbors must’ve heard it?
Wednesday
I called the landlord and insisted that he should check for rats, but he said there were no rats. I asked the neighbors about the sounds; nobody had heard anything, not a single scratch or a squeak. I was losing my mind. Namjoon looked so concerned when he came home this morning. I looked like a crazy woman, red eyes, disheveled hair, don't even get me started on the eyebags. He insisted that I go see a doctor, maybe a therapist. The stress was getting to me. I was so desperate for sleep, but all I could do was get ready for work.
The day was a blur - the only thing I properly remember was almost screaming at a five year old for showing me his drawing of a rainbow. I was going crazy. I stared at the empty bed, dreading to fall asleep. I prayed to every deity in existence for sleep. I was sure that the noise from last night had been stress induced and after a good night’s sleep everything would be okay.
Someone was speaking. Was Namjoon back? I glanced at the clock, it was midnight. I reluctantly shuffled out of the blankets and turned on the light. The room was empty, just another dream then. But as soon as I turned off the light, I heard it again, clear as day, a quiet laugh. It echoed around the room as if it had a life of its own.
I fought the rising panic in my chest. I was standing in the dark with my hand on the light switch. I desperately wanted to turn on the lights but I was frozen in place, heart pounding. There was someone in the room, someone besides me, someone who wasn’t my boyfriend.
I felt a cold breath on the back of my neck. Someone was standing right behind me, so close I could feel the cold radiating from their body. A chill ran down my spine. My brain stopped working, all I could think of was how much I didn’t want to die. Was he going to stab me? Strangle me? Maybe he’d torture me just for the fun of it.
“MINE!” a guttural voice said, laced with such malice that the adrenaline finally kicked in. My fingers acted on their own, turning the lights on. My body whirled around before I could stop it to see the face of this stranger. But there was no one there. The room was empty.
Thursday
I woke up with a massive headache. I was somehow in my bed, sunlight streaming through the windows. Fear spiked through me as soon as I heard someone walk towards the bedroom door. I was about to scream when Namjoon peaked through the door and said, “Hey baby, want some scrambled eggs?”
I don’t know what took over me but as soon as I heard his voice I started sobbing. He quickly scooped me up in his arms and tried to soothe me. He was so confused as to why his girlfriend was crying first thing in the morning. Between sobs I told him what had happened, what was still happening - I couldn’t help it. I wanted someone to know, no, I needed someone to know. It felt like I was losing my mind. How could the room be empty?
Namjoon insisted that I take a day off today, but I couldn’t. I needed to get out of that apartment, I couldn’t stay there. I wanted to feel the sun on my skin, I wanted to hear the children’s laughter. My boyfriend was sure that it was just a nightmare. Was it though? I was sure I was wide awake. I had heard his voice, clear as day, mine, that’s what he had said. Mine.
Namjoon tried to take some time off but his boss wouldn’t let him. He had to go on a business trip. I had assured him that I would call him immediately if anything happened. Maybe it was just a nightmare, maybe there was nothing in the dark. The sleep deprivation, loneliness, and the stress had finally gotten a hold of me. That’s what it was, my brain trying to make sense of my emotions. Nothing else.
I reluctantly got off the elevator. It was almost midnight, I had stayed out with my friends as long as I could. I was dreading going back to my empty apartment. As soon as I entered, I swept the living room with my eyes. Everything was in its place. Namjoon was a bit of a neat freak, I didn’t know what I was expecting. I exhaled shakily; I didn’t even realize I was holding my breath.
I debated whether I should turn off the bedroom lights or not. On one hand, I was an adult and I could just sleep with lights on. On the other, I was an adult and not a six year old who was scared of some imaginary monster. I had too much pride, so I hesitantly turned off the lights and hopped under the blankets.
I couldn’t fall asleep, I was too tense. The sound of the refrigerator, the comforting ticking of the clock, every familiar sound had suddenly turned eerie. Every time I closed my eyes, I felt exposed, like someone was watching me, raising the hair on the back of my neck. I debated whether I should open my eyes or just keep them closed.
I chickened out and opened my eyes, frantically looking around. There was nothing. The bedroom was slightly illuminated and I had purposefully kept the curtains open, just to let some light in. I sighed and burrowed more under the soft fabric, hugging a pillow. Nightmare, that’s all it was, just a nightmare.
I slowly relaxed, tracing patterns with my eyes on the dull, yellow wallpaper. I’d always hated that wallpaper, it was the color of piss. The pattern on it was irritating, just a bunch of lines that seemed to lead nowhere. The more I looked at it, the more I was vexed. I had half a mind to get up and violently peel it off the wall when I saw it.
A pair of eyes were looking at me from the heating vent. The vent was located on top of the wall, its cover was open. Even though it was pitch black in that small space, I could clearly see those hostile orbs. Vertical pupils stared at me with such hatred that I couldn’t help but whimper. Every instinct in my body recoiled from terror. I could feel the blood pumping in my veins, my heart painfully pounding in my chest, I’d never felt so alive and so helpless.
I wanted to run away from those eyes, the staring boring through my skull. I wanted to scream - surely someone would hear me? I wanted to call Namjoon, I wanted to feel safe. But I couldn’t. I had a sinking feeling that if I made any movement, it’d come out and jump on me. So I just laid there, barely breathing, perfectly still, like a dead body.
It laughed. A horrible grating laugh that rang through the room. It touched my skin and I felt an intense pain, like a thousand tiny cuts. It was such a repulsive sound that I had to force myself from flinching. My tiniest movement could set it off. I didn’t know how I knew that, I didn’t know if it was even logical but at that moment, all I could think of was those eyes, dripping with venom.
Mine. It growled. It kept saying that over and over again, sometimes it was soft, like a baby’s whisper, sometimes it was louder than thunder. The sound was in the room but at the same time it was in my head, like an airpod had fallen through my ear and landed in my skull. It was everywhere.
Friday
I woke up groggy. My body felt like someone had put it through a blender, my head throbbing in pain. I could barely open my eyes, everything hurt. I didn’t remember much about last night, the only thing I could recall was being extremely afraid. I reached for my phone and somehow, through trial and error, dialed my boss to call in sick. I was so exhausted and as soon as I mumbled my apologies, I lost consciousness.
My eyes opened to a dark room. I sighed when I felt a body press against my back. Namjoon was back, everything was going to be okay. I rolled around and buried my face in his neck. I’d never felt so safe. I inhaled deeply, he smelled so good, like orange blossoms. When did he change his cologne?
He put his hands around me, clutching me to his chest. I had missed him so much, I gripped his shirt. When did he start wearing a shirt to bed? His arms caged me to him tightly.
“Joonie, too much,” I whined when he squeezed so hard I couldn’t breathe.
“MINE,” he growled.
Saturday
The smell hit him before he could see inside the room, metallic, like the smell in a butcher shop. Detective Jung almost lost his breakfast when he saw the crime scene. The ugly yellow wallpaper was covered in blood. It had seeped through the blankets and the mattress. Every color was distorted by red. There was a pile of undistinguishable body parts on the bed. The soft carpet made squelching sounds as the forensic team moved around the room.
Detective Jung left the apartment in a hurry, a thin layer of sweat covered his forehead. He would question the suspects first - to him, everyone who wasn’t the victim was a suspect. It was better than going back inside and putting together the puzzle that once used to be a human being.
Kim Namjoon was sobbing in a corner, the victim’s boyfriend. He was the one who had called the police after coming home from a business trip. He was in shock, he could barely comprehend anything that was happening around him. Detective Jung tried to talk to him with no success, he’d just have to wait.
“What happened?” a melodic voice asked.
“Who are you?”
“Park Jimin, I moved here a month ago.”

My One in a Million Chapter 2
Thank you @inloveoknutzy for proofreading and support <3 and @lumosinlove for your amazing OCs!!
You can read Chapter 1 here
Chapter 2 - Bad habits
“So how’s that new apartment of yours?” Alice asked over the phone. “I can’t believe you didn’t call me sooner, are you already too much of a star for your commoner friends?”
Remus laughed goodheartedly as he sat down on his bed. He’d missed Alice’s voice.
“C’mon, I’m by no means a star. And I would never forget about my best friend, you know that.”
“Ohh good, I finally dethroned Leo?”
“Ok, let me rephrase that. I would never forget about my midget best friend,” Remus corrected and laughed again when Alice cursed at him. “I’m sorry Al, it’s just been a very busy couple of weeks.”
Remus glanced around his room. It looked much more homier now that everything had been unpacked and he’d gotten himself a few paintings and decorations. Everything looked exactly as he’d imagined, and Remus felt a sense of contentment at the image.
He closed his eyes, letting the sun warm up his skin and enjoying the light breeze drifting in through the open balcony door. But when he breathed in, a strong smell of nicotine wafted to his nose.
“Fuck, not again,” Remus groaned, raking a hand over his face with an exasperated sigh.
“What? What’s wrong?” Alice asked.
“My asshole of a neighbour. I swear to god Alice, it’s like he does it on purpose.”
Throwing himself down on the bed, Remus pinched the bridge of his nose. He tried to remind himself that the guy wasn’t technically doing anything wrong at the moment, but this little thing together with everything else was cutting Remus’ patience short.
“Uh oh, are you having trouble already?”
Remus snorted.
“You could say that.” He focused on breathing in and out before launching on a rant. “I have this beautiful balcony with a view, but I can never leave the door open cause he’s always smoking outside and somehow the smell always gets into my room which is fucking annoying.”
“Well...I guess it could be worse?” Alice said uncertainly after a moment.
“That’s not all. He sometimes leaves the garbage right outside his door for hours. I don’t know what the hell he does at midnight, but I can hear his music at the weirdest hours, and then out of nowhere there are loud screams coming through the walls.”
Alice snorted and Remus rolled his eyes.
“Not that type of screams. Like angry screams?”
As the smell became too much, Remus got up and started walking towards the door.
“And the weirdest thing is, there’s so many people coming in and out from that apartment all the time. Every day. I swear, it’s ridiculous. Is he a drug dealer or something?”
Remus thought about the past week and how confusing it had been, as he’d bumped into a lot of weird, different people.
On Monday, when he was coming back from finally doing grocery shopping, he got into the elevator with a guy with messy hair and glasses. The guy was smiling so much it was a bit weird, but he was nice enough to hold the door for Remus when they were getting off. Remus smiled as well and nodded before going to his apartment and watching as the guy disappeared next door.
On Tuesday, a bloke with red hair was going out just as Remus was coming back home; they exchanged a ‘good afternoon’ and they each went their way.
On Wednesday a tall, dark, handsome stranger smiled and winked at Remus.
Thursday, a woman with red hair and green eyes struck up an animated conversation with him when he was coming back from his morning run. Remus had actually liked her, she seemed very nice and easygoing. He wondered if she was related to the guy he’d seen on Tuesday.
When Friday came around, he’d been slightly wary as he’d stepped out to take Cocoa to the park nearby. Almost as if on cue, he heard a door open and close when he was going to the lift, and soon he was joined by a shorter man with tan skin, a snapback on his head with dark curls slipping out.
He’d had to wonder if it was some sort of silly prank. It couldn’t be a coincidence. Cause every day, for a week, he’d bumped into a different person every time he went out or came back to his apartment.
All of them coming and going from apartment number 12.
Just how many people lived there? He'd casually asked the concierge about it and was surprised when the man said it was just one guy. Someone called Black, whose description matched the one of the first guy he’d met in the building.
Alice’s huffed laugh brought him back to the present as he reached the door and peered outside. And then he felt his breath catch in his throat.
Black was standing on the edge of the balcony closer to Remus’ own, and had his back turned on him. A very tanned, muscular, bare back. Remus cursed under his breath. The guy was only wearing a pair of sweatpants, and was leaning on the rail as he exhaled a plume of smoke. The way the sun reflected beautifully over his skin and dark hair had to be illegal.
“And he’s hot! Really, his back is so sexy it’s unfair!” he said as he closed the door a bit harder than he’d meant to.
Alice cackled on the other end of the line.
“Well Rem, at least you have something to look at,” she teased. “Why don’t you go say something to him?
“I would rather avoid confrontation so early on,” Remus said as he leaned back on the glass panel, ignoring Alice’s first statement. He didn’t want to have his first neighbor fight not even two weeks after moving in. But the guy was just getting on Remus' nerves, and even if he didn’t want to be that neighbour, he knew he would soon need to set some boundaries.
“I’m sorry about that sweetie,” Alice said in a sympathetic tone. Remus hummed in reply. “I hope it didn’t ruin the excitement of moving in.”
“Nah, it’s alright. It would be nice if we could get along, but worse comes to worse I’ll just have a talk and that’s it. We don’t have to be friends or anything,” Remus decided not to mention the issue with his Mum’s painting, otherwise Alice might just show up here to kick the guy’s ass herself. Smiling slightly at the idea of tiny Alice standing up to that guy, Remus glanced at the clock and cursed. “I’m sorry Al, I gotta run or I’ll be late for my first class.”
“Ok, I’ll talk to you later, yeah? Don’t be a stranger!”
“Yeah, yeah, bye Alice!”
As soon as Remus hung up, he scrambled through his room to grab everything he needed. He stopped only for a minute to fill Cocoa’s bowl and pet him on the head before heading out, thanking the heavens that for once, there wasn’t anyone waiting for him in the hallway.
Remus had been working non stop ever since he’d started gaining popularity online, and took a few days off to adjust to his new living space before he started working at the new studio. Not that he’d completely stopped, what with making and editing videos for the page.
Some students were already waiting when Remus arrived, but he was just in time. For the first time ever he had a fully booked class, and even some people in a waiting list in case any space would free up. Remus was so thrilled, he couldn’t keep a smile from his face.
He looked around when he entered the room where he would be imparting the yoga lesson, and the first thing that caught his eye was a head of flaming hair.
The girl was wearing black leggings and a loose shirt, and Remus recognized her at once from last Thursday. She glanced up, and surprise crossed her face before she broke out in a smile.
"Hello! You're from Sirius' building aren't you? Are you here to take this class as well?"
Remus wasn't sure who Sirius was, but given the fact that she had been to the apartment next door, Remus figured it must be his dear neighbor.
Sirius Black.
Even his name was pretentious.
"Ah, no, I'm actually the new instructor," Remus said, smiling shyly.
"Oh that's great!" the woman beamed. "My friend Natalie recommended your class, said I would not regret it. So, you're Remus?"
Remus nodded, rubbing the back of his neck.
"Yeah, pleased to properly meet you um.."
"Lily," she smiled, and Remus couldn't help but return it. It was so easy to talk to her.
Remus moved to start setting up his things while they waited for the last few students to arrive. Lily followed.
"Natalie should be here any minute, she was super excited about this. Apparently, you're pretty famous! I don't pay much attention to social media, so I haven't heard from you before." Lily smiled apologetically, but Remus waved her off.
"Oh that's not true, I'm just a normal guy that happened to have a bit of luck. I do hope you enjoy the class though." He bit his lip, wondering if he should ask the next question or if he would come off as a prying old lady, but then curiosity got the better of him. "What's the deal with all the people in that apartment? Do you all secretly live there?"
A dark look crossed Lily's face, but it was gone in a second and replaced by a small worried frown.
"No, that's just Sirius' home. I'm sorry about all the trouble, I swear it's not always like that,” she said, tugging at a strand of her hair. “Things should calm down soon...I hope."
Remus wasn't sure what that meant, but he knew asking more about it would be too nosy. It was none of his business after all, he just wanted some peace and quiet.
"Oh, I know!” Lily suddenly perked up. “We're throwing a Halloween party at Sirius' in two weeks, why don't you come over? That way you can meet everyone!"
Remus schooled his features carefully to avoid cringing. He didn't particularly like parties, the smell of smoke and alcohol, the inebriated people doing stupid shit, the many mistakes made in the thrill of the moment...yeah, Remus could live without all that crap.
"I don't know, Lily...I don't think I'm invited." And that guy and I don't really get along well, he thought.
But Lily just rolled her eyes.
"I just invited you. That flat is almost like my own home, so Sirius won't mind me inviting someone over, if that's what you are worried about."
Remus busied himself searching his bag for nothing in particular, wondering if Lily and Sirius were dating. They certainly seemed really close to each other, he could tell by the way she said his name; but how could someone as nice as Lily date that ass?
"C'mon, it'll be fun! You can make new friends, and that way it won't be so weird if you bump into any of them in the hallways again."
"I'll think about, ok?" Remus said to appease her, but he knew there was no way he'd be going to that party.
However, the look Lily gave him and the glint in her green eyes told him she wouldn't let him off so easily.
***
Later that night, Remus was sitting by the window of his living room, meditating. He’d gotten into the habit of doing it when he needed to wind down, or when there was too much on his head; and today, after a long day back at teaching, it was a good way for him to relax.
And for once, everything was quiet. No loud music coming through the walls, no people shuffling about all over the building, even the city outside seemed quieter than usual, and Remus basked in the silence that filled his ears as he breathed in deeply.
Or at least he did until he heard a loud whoop that almost made him jump out of his skin. What the hell was that?
A string of muffled words and a loud laugh followed as Remus sat there with a hand over his racing heart, trying to calm down. And even then, with his breathing completely messed up, Remus surprised himself thinking it was the first time he’d heard laughter from next door instead of just shouts, and how oddly familiar it sounded.
“For fucks sake,” he muttered, getting up.
He’d finally had enough. He’d tried to let it be and avoid confrontation, but was it really that hard to be considerate? Did he think he was the only person living here?
Breathing out, Remus made his way through the hall and knocked on the door. There was no response at first, but the noise inside quieted down. Remus waited for a bit before knocking again, a little louder than before. This time there were approaching footsteps on the other side, and he was pretty sure he could hear someone cursing.
Remus was going over his speech in his head, trying to figure out the best way to talk to this person, but as soon as the door opened, all words disappeared from his mind. Actually, every thought in his brain flew out the window as he was met by stormy grey eyes boring into his.
It was the first time he was seeing Black’s face, and why the fuck did he have to be so fucking gorgeous?
He had high cheekbones, and a jaw that was screaming to be kissed; his inky black hair held in a messy bun at the top of his head, with a few strands framing his face. Remus already knew he was fit as hell, but fucking God, those eyes.
Remus’ breath caught in his throat as he took in the slightly surprised look on Black’s face, who was looking him up and down. It was then that Remus realized he was so pissed that he hadn’t even thought about changing out of his yoga tights. His cheeks warmed up, and the thought of blushing in front of this guy annoyed him even more.
He glared at Black, who arched a perfect eyebrow.
“I’m sorry to disturb you,” he started, still trying to be polite, “I live next door, and I didn’t want to do this, but could you please keep it down? I’ve been listening to your music all week, and even if you have good taste it’s getting really annoying.”
You have good taste? What the hell was that? Remus chided himself.
Sirius glanced behind him at his apartment with mock surprise.
“There’s no music right now, is there?”
Remus rolled his eyes; he didn’t care how good looking this guy was, or how curious he was about the slight accent in his voice, he was absolutely obnoxious.
“Oh yeah, ‘cause the screaming is so much better,” Remus deadpanned. He thought he saw the corner of Black’s mouth quirk up, but he was still staring Remus down.
“Oh, I was just punishing the gang for not making the drugs faster,” Sirius said, and his mouth moved to the side, like he was biting the inside of his cheek to fight a smile.
Remus' eyes widened.
"Yeah, I'd invite you to come in and have a look, but it might be too hot in here," he continued in a teasing tone.
"Oh my God, you heard that?" Remus fought the urge to cover his face, which he was sure was beetroot red.
"Just bits and pieces. You were talking pretty loudly," Black said, the amused smile finally appearing on his face. He leaned with a shoulder against the doorframe, looking Remus up and down again. “But hey, I could show you more of my sexy back if you really want to.”
Remus did his best to fight his embarrassment as he squared his shoulders, his expression going hard. How did this guy manage to make him so angry every time?
“I would never want anything to do with a disrespectful, self-centered prick like you." Politeness be damned, he was not going to stand here and let this man make fun of him.
Black's eyebrows shot up in surprise, and he regarded Remus with new interest.
"I -"
Some voices came from inside the flat, and Black looked over his shoulder. When he turned back around, he looked Remus straight in the eye with a penetrating gaze.
"I will try to keep it down," and without another word, he closed the door in Remus' nose.
Remus just stood there for a few minutes with his mouth hanging open, absolutely bewildered, before a scowl took over his face. He turned around and marched straight into his apartment, closing the door behind him and taking a few slow breaths to calm himself.
When that proved fruitless for the first time in a very long while, he went straight to his computer and onto Padfoot’s channel. A pleased sigh escaped his lips when he saw that he was going live and clicked the video immediately. Padfoot hadn’t made a new video in a few days, which had been slightly worrying, so Remus was glad to see he was back.
When the video loaded though, Remus frowned. A game was being shown full screen, but the character was just standing there, not doing anything, and the only voices heard were from other players. Padfoot wasn’t there. The live chat was going crazy asking what happened, saying everything seemed fine and then Padfoot had just disappeared.
But a few seconds later Remus, heard a small laugh and a familiar voice talking to the viewers.
“Hey guys, I’m back! I’m so sorry about that, I was just very rudely interrupted. Although I must admit, it was a very interesting interruption. Anyway, let’s crack this thing, I left my partner alone for a long time and we all know he is as useful as a chocolate teapot.”
“I protected your sorry ass while you were away, and that’s the ‘thanks’ I get?” another voice came from the video with mock offense.
“Yeah, yeah, I appreciate your efforts Prongs, but we both know who's the one that gets things done here."
“Oh, yeah? It’s always like this with you, whenever you do something awesome it’s ‘Oh, look at me, I’m amazing’, and whenever you fuck up it’s ‘Oh, we are a team’.”
“That’s how teamwork works!” Padfoot said in his most convincing tone.
Remus laughed at Padfoot’s antics, feeling a lot better than a few minutes before, and started thinking about everything with a cooled head. He would have liked to get along with his neighbors, to have a quiet, happy life, but he could try to ignore him. He didn’t have to see the guy more than was strictly necessary. He wasn’t going to.
