cannot stop thinking about these lines and their respective expressions. merlin "cracking" what matters to gwaine the most and trying to tempt him with it. gwaine looking compelled but wary, almost betrayed? and later that same episode when gwaine retaliates by "cracking" merlin's deal he does so in a way that validates merlin instead of judging him (as this is more about gwaine seeing how much merlin loves arthur than anything else), leaving merlin speechless and cautiously elated. in both their reactions there's the vulnerability of "oh fuck i've been perceived" and being generally caught off-guard, but there's also an undercurrent of "why are you saying this? because you mean it? because you think it's what i want to hear? because you want to show me you've figured me out? all of the above?" a sort of mutual intrigue..... the mortifying ordeal of it all

i have decided to be the change i wanna see, so lets do a nice little thing for each other, as a community full of incredible and talented writers. yes this is writer specific only, but thats cause thats where the main problem of people not interacting with creative works lies in this fandom as far as i can tell and have seen people talking about it especially in the last couple of months

and just in general.. leave people comments. leave them asks about their projects. just go over and gush about their work. i know it sounds embarrassing but writers love nothing more than to hear that someone likes what they are doing. if you find a fic that hasnt been updated in forever, comment on it. it might just be the spark the author needs to continue. while kudos and likes are nice, and just as valuable to some, its definitely in the words the people leave for them that matter the most. im not saying this to put pressure on anyone, its just how it is, and i feel like unless people are writers themselves, and even then sometimes, thats just hard to grasp, especially if the writer is a smaller and less popular one who doesnt get a lot of traffic in the first place

i think thats all. just be nice and considered to everyone, reblog peoples works, this post with others add ons and so forth. and if i find anyone talking shit here or at other writers for something they share, you'll be blocked and im probably taking your kneecaps. be fucking nice. we are all struggling here and we need to stick together

want to give my two cents on the AI usage in the maestro trailer--

i think seventeen doing a whole concept that is anti-AI is very cool, especially as creatives themselves i think it's good that they're speaking up against it and i hope it gets more ppl talking about the issue. i also understand on a surface level the artistic choice (whether it was made by the members, the mv director, or whoever else), to directly use AI in contrast to real, human-made visuals and music in order to criticize it. i also appreciate that they clearly stated the intention of the use of AI at the beginning of the video

however, although i understand it to an extent, i do not agree with the choice to use AI to critique AI. one of the main ethical concerns with generative AI is that it is trained on other artists' work without their knowledge, consent, or compensation. and even when AI generated images are being used to critique AI, it still does not negate this particular ethical concern

the use of AI to critique also does not negate the fact that this is work that could have been done by an actual artist. i have seen some people argue that it's okay in this context because it's a critique specifically about AI, and it is content that never would have been done by a real artist anyway because it doesn't make sense for the story they're trying to tell. but i disagree. i think you can still tell the exact same story without using AI

and in fact, i would argue that it would make the anti-AI message stronger if they HAD paid an artist to draw/animate the scenes that are supposed to represent AI generated images. wouldn't it just be proof that humans can create images that are just as bad and nonsensical and soulless as AI, but that AI can't replicate the creativity and beauty and basic fucking anatomy that's in human-made art?

it feels very obvious this was not just a way to cut corners and costs like a lot of scummy people are using AI for. ultimately it was a very intentional creative decision, i just personally think it was a very poor one. and even if some ethical considerations were taken into account before this decision, i certainly don't think all of them were. at the very least i feel like the decision undermines the message they want to convey

i would also like to recognize that i myself am not an artist, and i have seen some artists that are totally on board with the use of AI in this specific context, so clearly this is not a topic that is cut and dry. but generative AI is still new, and i think it's important to keep having these conversations

I can't properly answer any of these, since I'm not apart of the team or anything, so everything I say after this is purely speculation and/or just random thoughts. I assume that, even if Bobby Jr is not added physically into the game, he'll be mentioned plenty of times (especially around April Toons with Thomas's dialogues). Especially if Crystalline is added to the game, since it's been established that the entire Cyger family has some issues going on. As for height, you can kind of estimate his height based on this photocard of him and the Chairman. He's shorter than the Chairman (who has an ingame model that can be compared to other managers). I assume he's at most half of Chairmans height. Do NOT leave him outside with a giant hawk. He's very obviously a child, I always imagine an age that's somewhere in the early-middle of elementary school, like maybe 7 or 8? Truthfully I only assign age ranges to characters, not specific numbers, makes it easier. Either way, I can't see him being in middle school yet.

I think the idea of him seeing a bear toon and getting really excited would be kind of funny. He ends up having to be dragged away by Robert.

Secret - I feel really guilty just interacting with the marauders fandom as a minor, from what I’ve seen its mainly adults and i always feel like im intruding and like my thoughts aren’t really valid as I haven’t seen much of the real world. I hate the thought that I make adults uncomfortable by interacting with them or engaging in conversations with them so I tend to not really interact with anything and anyone

okay hi this was something me and some friends spoke about today !!! because it's a very big space and intermingling is going to happen and in some cases that's nice that we're all just one but it can get tricky !!

our convo was mainly around,,, not censorship but safety? when it comes to recommending fics what line do you draw, who holds what responsibility etc and we essentially came to the conclusion that adults need to tag/rate their fics appropriately, minors need to respect MDNI tags, and parents hold the biggest responsibility over their child because censorship is bad and adults deserve a space too -> this talk was more about NSFW content

in generalll ?? no need to feel bad interacting !! i can assure you now it's a good mix of adults/minors (you'll get more adults on the tumblr side but my tiktok is roughly 65:35 adults to minors)

and thoughts are so valid omg. that's what i love about fandom !! everyones thoughts are valid and everyones thoughts are included and i love that, you don't need to have experienced "the real world" (who even decides what that is lets be real rn) to engage 🙂↔️ im here to IGNOREE the real world actually

in terms of interacting? i'd say, obviously those with an MDNI tag? absolutely not no, they've drawn that line. but just generally commenting on a post? or fic? general interactions? it's very person by person but my main point is i think people should have minor/adult marked in bios even if its not their exact age if they want to engage, and that way those who don't want to won't and those that are okay with it will (obvs a bigger discussion here but i'm going off the basis of a Good Adult, because the other side is a whole other discussion that isn't what i'm talking about rn, that's a discussion to have with The Adults not the minors)

TLDR !!! if it makes someone uncomfortable, they won't respond 🤷‍♂️ and then you find other friends ! it's nothing personal if they don't and there's a lottttt more minors than it comes across - tiktok is their center point me thinks)
