#i think sevika loves silco in the guard dog way

i cannot stop thinking about sevika continuing to be silco's dog even after his death. leaving his seat empty at the desk, when will you come back home? how she clings to the orders she's been given, even though he's not there anymore to enforce them. like a wounded animal, she bares her teeth at jinx at first, until she sees she's just a broken pup, where she immediately turns jinx into an extension of silco, someone to protect, someone to serve.

also thinking how jinx is both silco to her, a master stand-in, and a little bit how she slowly might also fall into the "is there anything as undoing as a daughter" pit that runs as the undercurrent to most of this story (though again, is it her autonomous action or because it was silco's daughter first?)

I think part of the reason I love Sevika x Silco so much is mostly because they are exactly my favorite dynamic but also because Sevika is a female character that's written just as well as Silco. She has a personality she pushes and pulls on things she's not sweet or kind she's her own person

I often don't like f/m ships just for gender dynamic reasons like a most het relationships in fiction center the man and the woman wants his attention and idk it's just icky to me I hate wanting male validation and so I hate reading about characters wanting that

But Sevika doesn't want that! She doesn't need Silco to validate her. She follows him cause she believes in his cause and she's his right hand because he trusts her and he trusts her skill and competence. It's a m/f relationship built on genuine admiration and respect. She's the guard dog character she serves him in a way but the dynamic is still one of mutual respect. I love that they can have both the leader and his right hand dynamic without making it weird cause she's a woman. I love it so so so much

She's so right. And yeah, Silco did all of that & I still love him. Now I'm wondering, how old was he when he met Jinx and took her under his wing? He and Vander were already very much grown up men. How old is Silco now? How old was Silco when Vander tried to kill him?

The guards are SO confused. I absolutely adore their design. It's like they took them from Dishonored universe, upgraded to a modern level and animated in a different way.

I said this multiple time, but this show is absolutely gorgeous. It's worth watching for everything: the visuals, the music, the story. I can't say I like the original material, but this adaptation? Mwah. Chef's kiss.

Oohh, I love that expression. In just one little scoff there are so many emotions. He doesn't even KNOW where she is. He always let her do her thing & now this is what he gets.

The fact Jayce was ready to kill himself and Viktor saved him with "Am I interrupting?" and now Viktor was ready to fall and Jayce saves him with the same line. *screams* PARALLELS!!!

I'm so fucking sad for them.

But then comes Mel with her "we need to weaponize it" and what will Jayce do? Of fucking course. You're a fucking liar, Jayce. Gods, Viktor deserves so much better. I hope they do him and his story justice in s2.

Oh, to gif this. Leave my man alone, he did all of that & I love him.

I genuinely don't know how he managed to keep Sevika on his side (because she left Vander and Silco gave it all to her? Because he managed to do what Vander was afraid to do while she wanted war?), because it's obvious how she scared him with this move, but oh my god.

Jinx is his beloved. Sevika, on the other hand, is his guard dog. I still think about her jumping in front of Silco to protect him as Jinx's monkey was blowing up. My goodness, she's amazing.

He talks to her, he keeps it real, he doesn't bullshit her. They respect each other. She even picks up Finn's lighter and lights Silco's cigar. Ahhhh. The guard dog trope!! And in this particular case? Truly platonic.

•Sevika falls into a vicious guard dog role. Like with Silco she has absolutely no tolerance for anyone going against you and won’t hesitate to kill anyone in the under city who disrespects you. She loves being the mean girlfriend to some cute little thing on her lap.

•she’s not very affectionate. She’ll pull you into her side and sling an arm around your waist but that’s more to show that you’re together and not really to show her love. She wants everyone to know who you belong to.

•Make no mistake, Sevika may love you but you ultimately belong to her and not the other way around. She’ll laugh when you try to boss her around or try and intimidate her, she might even humor you because you’re just so cute and weak compared to her.

•speaking of laughing. Sevika lives to tease you. If you ask her for affection or attention she’ll tease you mercifully. Until you’re a blushing mess due to her howling laughter. If you try and retract your kind words or desire for her attention then she’ll simply pull you into her lap and give a half hearted apology.

•Sevika’s scary even to you. Not just because of her fighting prowess and later enhancements but also because she’s just so unpredictable. One moment she’ll be laughing and talking with you like an old friend and the next she’s in your face, pinning you to the wall and interrogating you about something you said.

•She doesn’t let her guard down and she can’t be manipulated. Really the best thing you could do is just to stay on her good side because you’re not getting away. Patch her up after she gets in a fight, listen to her rant about Jinx and she’ll be a little nicer. She’ll bring you your favorite street food or some book she thinks you’ll like.

•Even though she could pretty easily use shimmer to keep you with her or less easily, kidnap you, I don’t think she would. I think she’d use fear and intimidation. Most yanderes last resort would be to hurt you just to prove that they could but that’s kind of Sevika’s go to. She honestly doesn’t care if you love her, she just wants you with her.
