i cannot stop thinking about sevika continuing to be silco's dog even after his death. leaving his seat empty at the desk, when will you come back home? how she clings to the orders she's been given, even though he's not there anymore to enforce them. like a wounded animal, she bares her teeth at jinx at first, until she sees she's just a broken pup, where she immediately turns jinx into an extension of silco, someone to protect, someone to serve.

also thinking how jinx is both silco to her, a master stand-in, and a little bit how she slowly might also fall into the "is there anything as undoing as a daughter" pit that runs as the undercurrent to most of this story (though again, is it her autonomous action or because it was silco's daughter first?)

She's so right. And yeah, Silco did all of that & I still love him. Now I'm wondering, how old was he when he met Jinx and took her under his wing? He and Vander were already very much grown up men. How old is Silco now? How old was Silco when Vander tried to kill him?

The guards are SO confused. I absolutely adore their design. It's like they took them from Dishonored universe, upgraded to a modern level and animated in a different way.

I said this multiple time, but this show is absolutely gorgeous. It's worth watching for everything: the visuals, the music, the story. I can't say I like the original material, but this adaptation? Mwah. Chef's kiss.

Oohh, I love that expression. In just one little scoff there are so many emotions. He doesn't even KNOW where she is. He always let her do her thing & now this is what he gets.

The fact Jayce was ready to kill himself and Viktor saved him with "Am I interrupting?" and now Viktor was ready to fall and Jayce saves him with the same line. *screams* PARALLELS!!!

I'm so fucking sad for them.

But then comes Mel with her "we need to weaponize it" and what will Jayce do? Of fucking course. You're a fucking liar, Jayce. Gods, Viktor deserves so much better. I hope they do him and his story justice in s2.

I genuinely don't know how he managed to keep Sevika on his side (because she left Vander and Silco gave it all to her? Because he managed to do what Vander was afraid to do while she wanted war?), because it's obvious how she scared him with this move, but oh my god.

Jinx is his beloved. Sevika, on the other hand, is his guard dog. I still think about her jumping in front of Silco to protect him as Jinx's monkey was blowing up. My goodness, she's amazing.

He talks to her, he keeps it real, he doesn't bullshit her. They respect each other. She even picks up Finn's lighter and lights Silco's cigar. Ahhhh. The guard dog trope!! And in this particular case? Truly platonic.

•Sevika falls into a vicious guard dog role. Like with Silco she has absolutely no tolerance for anyone going against you and won’t hesitate to kill anyone in the under city who disrespects you. She loves being the mean girlfriend to some cute little thing on her lap.

•she’s not very affectionate. She’ll pull you into her side and sling an arm around your waist but that’s more to show that you’re together and not really to show her love. She wants everyone to know who you belong to.

•Make no mistake, Sevika may love you but you ultimately belong to her and not the other way around. She’ll laugh when you try to boss her around or try and intimidate her, she might even humor you because you’re just so cute and weak compared to her.

•speaking of laughing. Sevika lives to tease you. If you ask her for affection or attention she’ll tease you mercifully. Until you’re a blushing mess due to her howling laughter. If you try and retract your kind words or desire for her attention then she’ll simply pull you into her lap and give a half hearted apology.

•Sevika’s scary even to you. Not just because of her fighting prowess and later enhancements but also because she’s just so unpredictable. One moment she’ll be laughing and talking with you like an old friend and the next she’s in your face, pinning you to the wall and interrogating you about something you said.

•She doesn’t let her guard down and she can’t be manipulated. Really the best thing you could do is just to stay on her good side because you’re not getting away. Patch her up after she gets in a fight, listen to her rant about Jinx and she’ll be a little nicer. She’ll bring you your favorite street food or some book she thinks you’ll like.

•Even though she could pretty easily use shimmer to keep you with her or less easily, kidnap you, I don’t think she would. I think she’d use fear and intimidation. Most yanderes last resort would be to hurt you just to prove that they could but that’s kind of Sevika’s go to. She honestly doesn’t care if you love her, she just wants you with her.

Silco coming over when he discovers you live in a rough part of town. He’s taking it better than you hoped because after a few arguments: What will I do if something were to happen to you? How can I let you stay in such a-

You have to remind him that you both live in the undercity and he does mutter that you don’t have to live so harshly. You can live with him out of the way of the more harsh conditions of that in the very deep of the city, but you don’t say anything more about it. The look you give him shuts him up and he sighs when he realizes there’ s no changing your mind.

It’s really not that bad of an area. The air is cleaner on this side of town, but it is prone to break-ins. Silco agreed he’d come visit and you know that it’s mostly so that he can scope out the area and see what kind of security detail he can get away with. You’re surprised when he doesn’t show up a bunch of his ‘associates’.

He smiles when he sees you, tossing his head upwards to get hair out of his face unceremoniously.

“Good evening, love.”

The sweet old lady next door is scrambling inside at the sight of Silco, not at him, she could care less about your gangly boyfriend. It’s what he’s holding that makes you nervous.

Silco’s got a leash in each hand and he’s trying to attract your gaze before you can really start to panic, but it’s no use. Your eyes are glued to the guard dogs at his side, pointed ears that twitch forward to follow subtle noises but generally stand at attention towards you. The dogs are black and brown and he strokes between their ears on the flat of their heads. They’re fucking blindfolded.

“Silco.”

“These are a foreign breed. Dobermans, they’re called.”

Your eyes are narrowed at him and he doesn’t flinch in the slightest. He instead clicks his tongue and both sit simultaneously as he goes to join your side. He smirks in the slightest, taking your face in his hands and presses a chaste kiss to your lips. It’s barely returned because your eyes are focused on the giant dogs on your scrappy lawn.

“What the fuck is this? What happened to your-” you lower your voice and his smirk only grows. “Your security detail?”

“Oh.” He laughs in the slightest with his lips pressed against your temple, “They’re not mine. I bought these dogs for you.”

You gape at him as he takes their blindfolds off and their eyes find you and him before they go towards you. They jump when you jump, skittering down the lawn with less than pleased whines and you think it’s pathetic how they’ve decided to run from you, but Silco merely extends his hand before they’re going over to him.

“They’re trained to protect you specifically. See they recognize you from a sketch I had done, but of course they’re fond of me-”

“Silco.” you grab his arm and the dogs peer up at you, sniffing in your direction, but keeping their distance. “I’d rather have Sevika here.”

He waves his hand, “Nonsense. They’re lovely dogs.”

The two dogs growl at the birds at your feeder and snap their jaws at them. You lean into Silco and shake your head, “I think I’m going to faint.”

He presses a kiss to your cheek and whistles, they turn and approach with their nubbed tails wagging from side to side, “They’re very obedient.”

“So what’s this some sick joke?”

“Ever the dramatic one.” He sighs, “They’re house warming gifts.”
