i don't ACTUALLY care about people shipping rook/solas and i think you should have fun but i do think it is like. SO vital to the solavellan romance that she knows him as solas first. he gets to be -- has to be -- a lot of who he wishes he could always be -- just solas, just a person, someone who is valued and listened to and trusted just by virtue of being himself. not the myth that subsumed him or the duty attached to it.

rook will always know him as fen'harel first. he will never be able to be just solas to them.

#as in: fen'harel as a persona/title represents a barrier - prevents him from being fully himself #or having what he wants. fen'harel is the duty. it's the philosophy. yknow? it's standing for something. more than and less than a person #i think rook will get to see some vulnerability in him just by virtue of him being in Fade Jail and NEEDING to trust them #but i don't think it'll be the same <3 #carly.txt
