could taylor just not release the eras movie for a year if she has to put it on disney contractually?
no she probably has a date in her contract w disney for when the movie has to be released. contracts are usually very specific to protect from any type of breach it would be extremely hard for her to push back the release date. it was probably already decided smth to the effect of the movie will be released on disney+ 5 months after the theatrical release in fact i would bet it said exactly that in the contract given that the movie released in theaters on oct 13 and it’s releasing on disney+ on march 15 which is almost 5 months to the day prob only 2 days after bc they wanted to release it on a friday for maximum views. contracts are binding and rarely have any leeway to them at all if written well and it will be when u r dealing w a huge corporation that is going to be v well versed in writing contracts. like i’m not trying to defend her or anything but like there is legit not a single thing she can do to stop disney+ from releasing her movie even if she was desperate to (which i don’t think she is but js lol)
