they're so freaking absurd. like hashirama is actively excited to see madara again. despite the fact that madara is currently waging war on literally everybody.

all the other kage are all "oh boy i finally get to meet my son in person for the first time!!!!!" or "ok it's been a while since the last war so don't get unfocused" or "i'll beat madara this time" (girl no u won't sit down) and then hashirama's all "yay!!!! friend!!! :D"

The best part about hashimada by far is that at no point during Naruto were they ever not incredibly freakishly obsessed with each other.

Hashirama kills madara in the newly created valley of the death and literally gets humongous matching statues of themselves to honour them.

Madara fuses Hashirama’s flesh into him to sustain his life, you can argue it’s a practical decision but the symbolism of his life being prolonged through consuming Hashirama’s DNA shows how they are constantly connected, even when seemingly separated .

4th war hashimada fighting it out and madara being genuinely excited to see hashirama and refusing to fight until hashirama comes to him… Your honour they are NOT NORMALLL OMFGGGG

It’s like!!!! They fight they die they reanimate they go through the horrors but no matter what they are always bonded and never bother to deny that love. I love it. I feel crazy. HASHIMADA….

#naruto #naruto shippuden #hashimada #senju hashirama #uchiha madara #not to mention madara's infamous ''i just sensed hashirama's chakra again'' grin #they're so excited to see each other!!!!#like their last meeting was absolutely devastating. but neither of them give a shit bc they missed each other #not to mention how much time madara spent lecturing people for their not-hashirama-ness #like when he finishes talking to sasuke he stays grim the whole time until sasuke decides to go fight #even in his brief flashback of himself and madara as kids he isn't smiling #but once sasuke makes his decision hashirama is the only one who smiles. everyone else is surprised or serious or contemplative #but for hashirama it means he's going to see his friend again #sasuke and hashirama's relationship is pretty brief and mostly one-sided bc sasuke doesn't really give a shit about some dead guy #but on hashirama's end it's absolutely fascinating #even completely unaware of the whole indora/ashura thing he's on sasuke's side from pretty much the start #sasuke is actively threatening to village and when tobirama reacts it's tobirama who hashirama warns to back off #i don't think it's just bc sasuke looks like izuna #i think it's bc hashirama realized from hearing about itachi that madara had been completely right in his predictions #as far as hashirama is concerned sasuke is the one who gets to dictate the terms of that discussion #when sasuke asks tobirama to talk hashirama stays quiet and lets him speak #when sasuke asks to hear hashirama's side of things he's fully willing to indulge him. even with a war going on #i'm getting off topic but basically i think to hashirama sasuke represented whether or not he would get the chance to see his friend again #or whether he deserved to #just. think about that for a second #the last time he saw madara he was literally stabbing him in the back until he died #and he leaves what happens next up to the teen who showed up with the guy who resurrected him to attack his own home a bit ago #like. they have never met before that day. hashirama didn't even know sasuke existed until then #but he decides to let this kid who is a complete stranger to him dictate the terms of his post-divorce reunion #the man is deranged
