i think nmcu frank should’ve guilt tripped nelson and murdock (*coughs* matt) a little more about his methods of justice. like in the comics he tried to testify in court but the cops were owned. i think if this was true in s2 and he did this it would’ve added a little more spice.
#i think it would’ve made matt a little more insane#i think that conversation would’ve been so interesting and juicy#what do u guys think matt would’ve said/done#i know they got reyes and elektra beat up that one guy#the coroner#but it feels like they didn’t focus enough on how fucked up and organized that is#like frank could’ve been anyone if he wasn’t directly tied to schoonover#also it’s a shame we didn’t get more interactions with them#i still feel like they tried to fit too much into one season with elektra#i wish they would’ve each gotten their own seasons tbh#and i’m honestly upset elektra didn’t meet frank i think their interactions would’ve been amazing#anyway#daredevil#matt murdock#frank castle#the punisher#bun.txt

P.S. I still love you
pairing: chris x fem ! reader
-> warnings: cursing, angst. i think that’s it sorry in advance 😔. slightly short
————————————————————————
dear y/n,
it’s been a year already can you believe that? it feels like we met just yesterday at a random party i was invited to and to think i was going to skip it because i had a meeting the next day, i remember how i accidentally bumped into you causing you to spill your drink on yourself god i felt so bad watching you try to dry it off i just kept apologizing and you said it was fine but that still didn’t stop me from feeling bad.
i remember that after that party we became great friends and how inseparable we were, remember that one time when we sat up on your roof drinking sodas (considering we were both underage and hated drinking) watching the sunset that’s the day i realized that i loved you and wanted to be with you forever.
remember that time we went to the park with cat (absolute insane name for a dog by the way) then somehow his leash came off making us chase him around the whole park but before we caught him you tripped causing me to fall on top of you making us laugh uncontrollably for about five minutes, that was one of my favorite moments together (out of so many of course)
do you remember when we tried giving cat a bath? that motherfucker couldn’t stay in the bathtub for more than two seconds especially since he was a very hyper dog, i remember when he first jumped out you tried running after him but accidentally slipped on the bar of soap making you fall into the water, bubbles in your hair drenched in dirty dog water and yet i still thought you were the most beautiful girl i ever saw.
remember on our two year anniversary i took you to france for a week? gosh i was so nervous the day i gave you the tickets since you “never liked me spending money on you” but at the end you absolutely loved the trip especially that special dinner we went to where i gave you the necklace you’ve been wanting for weeks, i’ll never forget the look on your face when you saw the necklace it made me feel like i fulfilled my purpose as your boyfriend.
one of the memories that brings a big smile to my face is when i remember the day nick and matt met you for the first time they were so excited because i would never shut up about you and how great you were so when they finally got to meet the reason for my happiness it was awesome, having you all getting along was amazing i loved how they accepted you with open arms, the thing i hated was how nick would always steal you from me but i forgave him when i found out you two had a lot in common more than you and me i got a little jealous but opposites attract or whatever they say.
i loved when we would go sit in your car watching the sunset or sunrise while talking about our future, i loved the way your nose would scrunch every time you laughed or smiled, i absolutely adored your voice and how your voice sounded like honey in the early morning when you would wake me up.
i loved how much you helped matt when he had any problems or questions about anything and how you never made him feel dumb for it, that’s one of the many things i loved about you how you helped others and never made them fell stupid for the questions they asked.
i loved the way you would talk to little kids, how caring you were for them and it always made me think of how an amazing mother you would’ve been.
you know matt and nick still talk about you, same with my mom and dad they all miss you even trev misses you he always sits or lays down in your spot on my bed, fuck we all miss you y/n especially me, we had a lot of plans together we had so many ideas for our future! i even bought a stupid ring that i was going to give to you on our fifth year anniversary which is tomorrow but sadly not everything goes according to plan.
but i know that you’re no longer in pain and in a better place, you probably won’t read this stupid letter but thank you for giving me the best years of my life and giving me amazing memories that i will cherish for as long as i live.
sincerely,
ta chérie.
P.S. I still love you.
with that the boy folded up the letter placing it in an envelope tears streaming down his face but what he didn’t know was that the love of his life was there watching him write that letter with tears running down her face as she smiled sadly at him, she never got to tell him everything she wanted or the fact that they had a baby on the way.
————————————————————————-
i cried a few times while writing this um it’s mostly based off of a movie i saw a few years ago that randomly hit me (movie: P.S. I Love You) also idk why but the songs i was listening to while writing this were depressing so that didn’t help at all but i hope you enjoyed this and pls don’t hate me 😔

ocean breeze || matt s.
summary: you & matt take a night drive to the beach and talk😨
a/n: this is my very first fan fic so apologies if it’s badly written lmk what u think :)
part one | part two
you and matt had always clicked. obviously, chris and nick were your best friends but matt? the two of you connected in different ways than how you did with his brothers; whether it be through music, anxiety, or something completely random as… well you get the idea.
recently, you’d realized that you had feelings for him. he made you smile every time you were with him and, as much as you didn’t want to admit it, he made you blush too; but he never noticed, at least you hoped he never did. as of now, you were sitting in his gaming chair while he was on his bed; the two of you mindlessly scrolling on your phones. you realize it’s 10:32, meaning that both of you have been on your phones, in silence, for approximately 2 hours. luckily, you didn’t mind sitting in silence with matt since it was never awkward. you just appreciated his presence and assumed he did the same.
“wanna go for a drive? we’ve been like sitting here since 8,” you ask
“oh wow, uh yea sure,” he responds as he runs his hand through his hair, “want me to drive? i don’t mind”
“no it’s okay, plus i want to; but i get aux since you never let me” you say grinning as you get up from his chair and go to grab your keys from the kitchen.
*time skip*
with the windows down, music blasting, and empty roads, this is the thing you absolutely loved. matt being there was a plus. yea you loved hearing his laughs and “decent” singing, but you loved the night more; and that’s saying a lot. you loved how the moon dimly lit up the coast as you drove. how the breeze lifted your hair up, even if it wasn’t the most flattering. you let matt know where you guys were, and you walked down the stairs together to the sand. barefooted, you ran towards the water.
“what are you doing? your sweats are gonna get soaked!” the boy yelled
“can’t hear you!” you shouted. even though you could hear him clearly, you didn’t care. the two of you were alone on the beach and it felt surreal. the feeling of wet fleece from the inside of your sweatpants, unfortunately and grossly, gave you a reality check. for a moment, you regretted your decision to go in the water. to quote matt, your sweats were in fact soaked. regardless, you ignored it and instead motioned him to join you.
“im not doing that. it’s way too cold.”
“oh cmon it’s not even that bad and clothes can dry to counter your point from before”
he hesitated but ultimately decided to give in. slowly, he took steps into the calm waters.
“i thought you said you couldn’t hear me?”
“yea well,” you grabbed matt’s hand to help him towards you. “i might’ve just ignored you” you continue while laughing.
he playfully pushed you in response, but used a little too much force; seeing as you flopped backwards, hitting the sand below the water harshly.
“oh. my. god matt.” you stare at him in disbelief as you get up.
“shit i- that wasn’t on purpose i swear!” he says backing away from you, hands up in front of his chest. the two of you immediately laugh at what had just happened.
“that was insane, here’s your payback” the water hits his back and he slightly jumped from the coldness.
“you’re lucky you fell, otherwise i would’ve actually thrown you in for that.”
“thrown me in? that’s literally an act of violence”
*time skip* (kinda)
you both made it to the dry sand, sat down, and just watched the waves hit ground. after a while you placed your head on his shoulder, mind you it was terrifying to do, but he gently tilted his head to meet yours, sending relief all throughout.
“matt”
“y/n”
“can i tell you something?”
“always, what’s up?”
you take a deep breath before speaking:
“alright well first this is making my anxiety go through the roof and i have no idea how to say this and im scared of your response and now i just feel like im rambling and you can probably tell what im trying to say but let me just restart.” at some point you lifted your head from his shoulder and now you were looking directly into his eyes which did nothing but make you even more nervous.
“ok,” you look down at your hands toying with your rings, “i, guess i like you” you say in a whisper. “no i do like you i dont know why i say guess” you awkwardly laugh trying to make the conversation a little less uncomfortable (it didn’t work). “uh yea i mean you make me smile and i always laugh when im with you and feel…” you pause, expressing your feelings was never your strong suit. “…i don’t know. just like nervous i guess? not in the negative direction, to make that clear. and i really do get it if you don’t feel the same, it’ll just be a realllllly interesting drive home but i don’t want me saying this to change our friendship because i really do appreciate it and i hate how i said really like 4 times but um yea! there’s what i wanted to say i literally now regret everything i’ve said.” you slowly turn your head to look at him only to find him already looking at you, wide-eyed. not the best sign.
finally he said something:
… part two?🤘

High-Class, Cold Shoulders
Relationship: Bucky Barnes x Reader Warnings: angsty but also fluffy Summary: Your affluent parents are not totally sold on your relationship with a certain super soldier — and a not-so-little announcement threatens to make things more complicated. A/N: i was a bit shocked to see that I never posted this one shot on tumblr! it’s one of my absolute favorite things i’ve ever written idk what i love about it but I feel like I just got it right lmao please enjoy!
Masterlist
"Do we really have to go?" Bucky asked for the umpteenth time as he emerged from the bathroom. He looked insanely dashing in his suit and tie and if you weren’t annoyed with his question you would’ve been tempted to jump his bones right then and there.
"Buck, come on," you sighed as you walked over from your vanity. You stood in front of him, adjusting his tie and doing a last double check to make sure his hair was just right. "It’s one banquet and we haven’t seen my parents in a year."
When you were pleased with his appearance, you made your way back to the vanity, touching up your makeup and adjusting the knee-length black dress you decided on.
"Think we could go another year without seeing them," Bucky mumbled as he took a seat on your shared bed, waiting for you to finish up.
You set your lipstick down rather harshly, but Bucky didn’t even flinch. "Bucky," you groaned — your tone rather colder than normal. Seeing your parents was definitely not on the list of things you wanted to do with your night either, but for Bucky… he absolutely despised them. The feeling was a bit mutual between your parents and him.
They had never really been very welcoming nor were they very excited about the relationship and, boy, did they make sure you both knew it. If it wasn’t passive aggressive comments it was blatant ignoring or even avoidance.
Your parents had had their assumptions about Bucky before ever meeting him. When they had figured out who you were really seeing, they both, especially your dad, acted a bit cold towards mentions of him. Things only escalated when they actually came face to face with Bucky. But Bucky tried and was never anything but nice — at least until it came the snarky comments. When those started, his temper could go off a little. This, of course, only drove home the idea he wasn’t right for you in your parents’ mind.
As results of repeated mishaps, invitations were never directly extended to Bucky. But, being an adult, you were at the point in the relationship where you were bringing him anyways. Truly, you just wanted everyone to get along and you were certain if they all just had a normal conversation they could maybe be at least civil.
So, that was how you always ended up with micro fights before seeing your family. Bucky swore up and down that nothing was going to change your stubborn parents, but you insisted that with time, they would have to come around to the man you loved. You were at a point where you really needed this.
"I’m just saying," he sighed and got up from the bed. You continued with your makeup as you watched him fidget around the room. It was an understandably uncomfortable position to be put in, you thought, but it would all come together one day — it had to at this point. Life changes were brewing but you didn’t want to think about that right now.
You applied the matte red lipstick as your finishing touch and placed it in your clutch. Getting back up from your vanity, you halted Bucky’s nervous movements with a soft touch on his shoulder. He turned to face you, a small frown playing at his lips.
"They’ll come around eventually," you said, fiddling with the heart-shaped charm necklace Bucky had gotten you for your last anniversary. "They gotta."
Your boyfriend gave you a weak smile and stuck his hands in his pockets. "Sure, doll."
***
You weren’t even 30 minutes into the banquet and Bucky had already downed two glasses of champagne. Despite the fact it could never get him drunk, he claimed it helped him to just relax a little and you didn’t fight it. Plus, the waitresses seemed happy to serve him which was entertaining for you to witness.
The hall was filled with New York aristocrats and it seemed like everyone wanted to stop you to say hello despite the fact they only knew you as your parents’ daughter. You played along well in the small talk, having been trained in this since you were just a child, but no matter what it never got enjoyable.
Finally, you saw your parents make their way into the room, allowing you to bid a farewell to some senator’s wife talking your ear off. Bucky sulked but followed behind you, nursing his fourth glass of champagne.
"Mom, dad," you greeted them each with a hug, careful not to disturb your mother’s precisely done hair-do. "How are you guys?"
Your mother was about to answer you until her eyes landed on Bucky, who was still lingering a few steps away from you. You could feel his eyes staring them down as he drank his champagne. You watched your parents’ expressions turn from delighted to cold as if a switch had been flipped.
"How was traffic?" You asked, turning your body to obstruct their view of your boyfriend. "We got here in a breeze."
Your mother brought her attention back to you as your father broke away, mumbling something about a client waving to him. You watched over your shoulder as he walked past Bucky giving him a tight smile. Bucky greeted him with a proper hello and wave, his smile faker than ever.
"I believe traffic was just fine," your mother finally answered you. It was a dumb question — they had a driver. Neither of them gave a rats ass about the traffic but it was something to keep their focus off of Bucky.
"Wonderful," you mustered out. Your forced, over-the-top smile was beginning to falter especially when you felt a presence come up right behind you. Your mother’s stance shifting gave away who it could be.
"Good evening," Bucky said as he exchanged his empty glass for a full one as a waitress zoomed past. He took a sip and wrapped his arm around your waist, pulling you into him securely. You nearly wanted to roll your eyes at his antics. Even your mother eyed his grip with suspicion.
She cleared her throat and met Bucky’s stare, "James." Glancing around the room, she most likely was looking for your father as an escape, but turned back when proved impossible. "I didn’t realize you’d be attending tonight."
"Could never pass on a night out with my girl," he said with a cocky smirk. Now you could really roll your eyes. "Plus, I get to see all these wonderful people."
"I’m sure, yes," your mother’s voice was getting harsher. The calm before the storm. "Lots of great people you may have never met otherwise."
You appreciated that your parents thought so highly of you but, jeez, implying he was a second-class citizen? You didn’t need another reason to be nauseous.
"You’re absolutely right, ma’am," The sarcasm in Bucky’s voice was the final straw for you. With a frustrated sigh, you pulled his arm from your waist and dragged him with you to the silent auction table. You decided you could hide your anger by browsing the tacky items up for bidding.
You began inspecting some gold-plated silverware when you felt Bucky’s worrisome eyes on you.
"Interested in some new cutlery, doll?" He asked, still watching your eye wonder over to the bidding sheet.
"This was a bad idea," you confessed. Bucky was fairly certain you weren’t talking about silverware.
He sighed, bringing a comforting arm around your waist. You melted into his touch instantly. "No, babe, this isn’t on you — it’s on me. I gotta stop throwing gasoline on the fire."
You shook your head, "No, things just may always be a mess with them."
Bucky was at a loss. Sure, there had been some unpleasant lunches and equally awkward dinners with them but this… this wasn’t right. You never threw in the towel and Bucky admired that. For everything you two endured, you always had some hope — especially about this. He knew how much it meant to you for your parents to like him and he tried so hard in the beginning, but they gave nothing back. It was wearing down on him, too, but he did it all for you and he reminded himself of that every time you pulled him to these functions.
"Babe, I-,"
"I’m running to the restroom," you pulled yourself out of his grip before he could throw anything else out there. With your head down, you weaved your way to the restrooms in the lobby of the hall.
You didn’t know how, but the women’s room was mostly empty. There were a few touching up their makeup but once they left, you were alone in the overly dramatic restroom.
You placed your clutch on the counter and stared at yourself in the mirror. Your eyes were starting to get red as they threatened to water and you mentally cursed yourself for not wearing waterproof mascara. The most you could do was reapply your lipstick and waste mindless time in here. Better to not even think about what was waiting on the other side.
You were taking your sweet time fixing your appearance when the restroom door opened. Watching through the mirror, you were greeted by your mother making her way in. She stood on the opposite side of the restroom, arms folded, waiting for you to finish.
"What?" You asked, your words coming out weaker than expected.
"Just wanted to make sure you were okay," she said, but you knew by her tone that wasn’t just it. There was a weird silence before she spoke up again, "You know, being with a guy that makes you so frazzled isn’t ideal."
Ah, there it was. You tossed your lipstick on the counter — the second time this evening your lipstick has been the target of your frustration — and turned to face her. Your posture was no more of a wounded puppy and instead a bubbling anger was rising in you.
"This isn’t just about him and you know it."
Your mother sighed and crossed the room to you. She placed her purse on the counter, facing you. She tried grabbing for your hands, but you hesitantly pulled them away.
"Your father and I just don’t understand," she explained. "After all the doctors and politicians we brought around you went for him-,"
"Mom, I’m pregnant."
The silence that fell over the restroom was heavier than you had anticipated. Your mother, usually so poise and confident, was entirely speechless. Her previous rant was totally forgotten and now she just stared at you, more stunned than ever.
"You? You’re-,"
You nodded, "Pregnant."
"With his-,"
You cut her off with another nod. She looked in awe staring at you, probably wondering if she could make any note of a belly bump yet. Despite not outwardly saying it, there was a twinkle of excitement in her eyes. You were her only child, after all. Grandchildren were only going to come from you.
"I’ve always wanted you all to get along, you know, but right now I need it more than ever," you admitted, fiddling with chipped nail polish on your finger nails.
She tucked a strand of hair behind your ear, compelling you to look up at her. Her eyes were still in amazement and a slight smile played at her lips. "We’ve always just wanted what’s best for you."
"And Bucky is what’s best for me."
Your mother retracted at that. She began looking around again as if still unsure when it came to her words. It didn’t surprise you — you hadn’t exactly been so defiant before. Sure, your little acts of rebellion were boiled down to continuously bringing Bucky around, but standing up to your family… it took a lot for you and came from such a dear place in your heart. That had to count for something.
"Well," she let out a dramatic sigh. "I guess we’re going to have to start considering that. Especially for the little one."
You couldn’t help but smile at that attempt of agreement. She said so much yet so little at the same time, but you decided to just take it for what it was worth. They were at least going to try, according to your mother, and that had to be the start of something.
After a much needed hug, you two exited the restroom and were greeted by your father and Bucky. They were standing a good ten feet apart but they both were still alive, so, that was another win in your eyes.
Before Bucky could even get a word in, you wrapped your arms around his torso, nearly knocking the super soldier back in surprise. He was stunned at first, but eventually wrapped his arms around you.
Bucky chuckled, "Everything alright?"
"I told her."
You felt his entire body tense up. His grip on you started to falter. Pulling away, you looked up at him. He was staring at the wallpaper across the hall, totally unsure of how to react.
"Honey?" You asked, worriedly. He looked down at you briefly before turning to your parents who were staring at you two in the same sense of confusion.
"You told her?"
You let go of the hug and moved back to face your boyfriend fully. He looked unbelievably nervous — from his uneasy stance to his terrified expression, the soldier was threatening to crumble before your eyes. You grabbed his hand in some comfort and luckily he accepted it, but he still wasn’t looking at you.
"She did tell me," your mother confirmed. Your father looked between you two now even more confused.
"Told you what?" Your father’s voice was unsurprisingly booming. It would’ve made you jump had you not expected this outcome.
You glanced at Bucky, who was still a shocked mess, and took a deep breath, "I’m pregnant."
The chilling silence was not unlike the one had just witnessed in the restroom with your mother. The only difference was your father was looking at all of you like it was some kind of joke, but you held your ground and Bucky’s hand.
"Pregnant?" He finally asked in absolute disbelief, his voice much louder than expected. You figured he would take this rougher than your mother had but being on the verge of blowing a gasket in public? Unimaginable for someone like him.
You didn’t trust your voice, so you just gave a nod. Out of the corner of your eye, you saw Bucky’s gaze shift to the floor. Gosh, you wanted nothing more than to just crawl into bed with your man and forget tonight happened.
"I-,"
Your father was about to go off on some angry rant, probably about disappointment, given his harsh posture and pointed finger, but was cut off by a group of ladies entering the lobby. When he remembered where he was, he reeled it way back in.
"Dinner tomorrow. Our place," He adjusted his tie and resumed his composed figure. "We will discuss it then."
"Okay," you mumbled with a small nod. He looked like he was ready to storm out, but on his way to the door, he abruptly stopped in front of you two. Your father took your free hand and waited for you to look at him.
"I love you, you know?" His face was still so stern and harsh but the words gave some comfort. These were your parents after all — you would’ve went into hiding if this was going to make them disown you.
You gave another nod, "Love you, too."
With a pat of the hand, you watched him exit the banquet hall. Your mother was about to follow him out before stopping.
"When it settles, he’s going to be so excited to be a grandpa," she said and gave a kiss on your cheek. She gave Bucky a polite nod and he returned it with a stiff wave. "See you two tomorrow."
When they were out of the building, you turned to your boyfriend who still looked like he may pass out. Cupping his face, you gave a loving kiss to his lips which he happily returned.
"Everything’s going to be okay," you promised with another peck on the lips. Bucky’s hands came up to once again wrap you in a hug.
His forced a chuckle, "I can’t believe you told them." Despite the light nature of his tone, his rigid body told you he was still trying to come to terms with the situation.
"I’m sorry," you mumbled, trying to soothe his worried look. "It just slipped out and — and it’s my mom! I just wanted-,"
"Hey, hey." He hushed you, running his hands up and down your back. "I get it, but can you blame me for being shocked?"
You smiled, shaking your head. "I love you."
"I love you, too," Bucky whispered. "Can we please get out of here? I’ve had enough of these big shots."
You let out laugh, happily agreeing, and ventured out into the city.

i think the thing john did to alecto that “hurt” her and “made her worse” is siphoning. i think he siphoned from her to perform the resurrection*** and then she got possessed by a bunch of insane, furious ghosts like how colum got possessed when silas siphoned from him. her “true” eyes, the matte black ones with the ring of silver, are very similar to colum’s during his fight w ianthe.
it tracks with what augustine said
“A monster, John!” Augustine barked. “She was a bloody monster in a human suit! She was a monster the moment you resurrected her, and you went and made her worse!”
(how else do you make a resurrection beast worse?)
and it would explain why they are so afraid of letting anything into lyctors’ bodies while traversing the river (they know what might happen from experience; the other lyctors know what alecto is/ was)
You said, “What happens to a Lyctoral body without a soul?”
God hesitated. “Being separated from your soul won’t kill you,” he said.
“But we’ll kill you,” said his saint. “Immediately. A Lyctor’s body, empty, with its battery intact but nobody in the driver’s seat? Do you know what could take up residence? Anything could get inside you—any horrible or evil or lonely thing, any miserable revenant, or worse—”
-
“A.L. always did bother you two the most … If I’m such a liar, why didn’t I lie to you about her? I told you the truth about Annabel’s resurrection, and in the end you killed her for it.”
and if true it would then make sense why that was the only kind of necromancy john ever denounced
“Oh, sit on it,” said Dulcinea. “I know all about you and your house, Master Silas Octakiseron … the Emperor himself never bothered to speak out against beguiling corpsehood, but he did say that siphoning was the most dangerous thing any House had ever thought up, and ought only to be done with the siphoner in cuffs.”
i know he says with the SIPHONER in cuffs, but john is also notoriously reluctant to give other people the chance to wield the same power he has, so this still works as evidence for me.
(here is where i take a little detour, but we’ll come back to the thing about siphoning)
the only thing that’s tripping me up is the fact that the rest of the system died, too. i don’t think whatever killed the earth also killed the system. we know pretty definitively what killed the earth at this point, and i don’t think that it would’ve been enough to also take out eight planets and the sun while still leaving the earth intact enough for john and alecto to wander around on it like they do in the ntn prologue.
so i think john HAD to have killed the planets. but why? why bother, unless he needed a huge burst of thanergy to do something major... like, say, resurrect ten billion people?
with this in mind i keep coming back to what he says about harrow’s birth, which didn’t make sense to me the first time i read it
“No, I don’t mean mechanically. Conceptually. To all intents and purposes, your mother and father committed a type of resurrection.”
but if john needed the power of eight planets and the sun to resurrect the population of one planet, then it makes more sense. harrow’s parents killed two hundred children and used their thanergy to create one, meaning harrow’s birth really IS a kind of resurrection on a much smaller scale. they needed a lot of death to create (or restore) a lesser amount of life.
harrow’s parents used nerve gas. john used alecto: he siphoned her to get enough power to kill the system, which generated enough thanergy to resurrect the ten billion. (when harrow’s aunts released the gas, they went blind. gideon should have been brain damaged after harrow siphoned from her. alecto...)
so in summary, here is my big idea: rising sea levels caused some kind of massive nuclear meltdown, which killed the earth suddenly enough to create a resurrection beast. that resurrection beast is alecto. john took the opportunity that arose here and used alecto to become a perfect lyctor. as a result, they are the only survivors of the ensuing apocalypse. (in the nona the ninth prologue, the fallout makes them sick, but "never for long,” so they must be lyctors at that point.)
john "hurt" alecto and "made her worse" by siphoning from her; she got possessed or hurt. it would be simpler if he used the power he got from siphoning to do the great resurrection, but it makes more sense to me if he used it to kill the system all at once and used the thanergy from that to resurrect the ten billion, because i can’t think of any other reason why he’d bother to kill the system otherwise.
ta da. i solved it. it’s solved
no but actually i know this is a lot of wild speculation LOL. and it doesn’t QUITE make sense when you think about the fact john must have also res’d the rest of the system too, bc he pretty literally is responsible for keeping the sun in place as we see in htn. if he needed to kill the system just to resurrect one planet’s worth of people, wouldn’t he need even more thanergy than that to resurrect nine and the sun??? i’m not sure. this is my current working theory though
what do u think
#the locked tomb#alecto the ninth#locked tomb spoilers#the locked tomb spoilers#even less evidence for this but i also think the matte black is her being possessed and the silver is her being a res beast which is why#her eyes are different from colums however slightly#tlt tag

A/N: this was requested with #65 and the following text: you work as a doctor Med and come home sick after long exhausting shifts but refuse to listen to Matt's reasoning until you almost pass out of exhaustion I hope you like it! Please send in your requests (:

____
'Dr. (Y/L/N)?' Maggie snapped you out of your trance. The shifts were really hard in the last weeks. You were called in a lot and always double-shifted. You couldn’t even tell which date or which weekday was today.
'Your shift is over. Go home and get some rest. You need it' she smiled at you, but you could sense a bit of worrying in her voice.
Nodding, you made your way to your locker, where you quickly grabbed your things.
'Bye' you said before leaving Med. Maggie waved at you, while you tried to smile.
Absolutely exhausted you made your way to your car. It was time to go home.
A couple minutes later you arrived at home. Getting inside the building, you were looking for your keys while standing in the elevator. You saw yourself in the mirror and gasped. You looked like hell. Your undereye bags were massive, your hair was a mess and your skin was totally pale.
Stepping out of the elevator you bumped into someone. 'Sorry' you mumbled while looking up.
You immediately met the blue eyes of your boyfriend. His surprised expression on his face turned into a more worried one asap. You definitely didn't only look like shit. You felt like it too.
'Oh god (Y/N)' he breathed out. He took his bag from his shoulders and hugged you. 'Are you ok, honey?' Matt asked while stroking your back.
Somehow your eyes filled with tears immediately. Your bones were hurting, your muscles were weak and you just sunk into your boyfriend. The past days were too much. The tears were running down your face now.
Matt holds you tight while bringing you two back to your shared apartment. Sitting down onto the couch he quickly grabbed a hold of you again. 'Shhh, it’s all good' he whispered while stroking you.
Some minutes later you calmed down a bit. 'I don’t know where it came from' you mumbled while Matt was wiping away your tears from your face.
'You’re exhausted, honey' he told you, while you were sensing the same worried tone in his voice like Maggie had this morning.
You were shaking your head and sitting up. 'I’m fine. I’m just a little bit tired'
'Of course, you’re tired, you haven’t slept in two days.'
'Could be, but… You can’t tell that' you noted while looking into his face.
'I can. I was at home the last two days and haven’t seen you once' he said while frowning.
'I’m sorry' you apologized. You couldn't say anything else.
'Please don’t forget that you’re only human (Y/N). Please, get some sleep and rest a bit. I’ve to go now, but I’ll check on you anyways, ok?' He asked while stroking your cheek.
You gave him a weak smile and leaned in for a quick kiss.
'Stay safe, babe.' You told him before he stood up and grabbed his bag again.
'You too' he smiled at you.
**
'Dr. (Y/N) we need you in Baghdad' Maggie screamed and you quickly ran to her and your colleagues.
Of course, they called you in again. Some doctors called in sick so you had no choice. At least you were able to get some sleep and food before coming back here.
The patient got shot three times and it didn’t look good at all. But of course, you were all trying your best.
Several times later, Will and you weren’t able to save his life. You two were currently sitting in the doctor's lounge.
'I can’t believe we lost him' you mumbled in-between sipping your coffee.
'We had no chance to help him. His injuries were too bad' Will told you while looking in your direction. 'We tried our best.'
'I’m not sure about it' you noted without any emotion in your voice. This wasn't your usual behavior and everybody was aware of it.
'Don’t be so hard on yourself, (Y/N).'
You nodded while thinking about what you could’ve done better. But to be honest, you couldn’t even remember what you did in general. You felt like being in trance.
A knock at the door brought you back to reality. You saw April in the door.
'Your boyfriend is here. He got some cuts during their last call. He’s completely fine' she said and you could just nod. 'Ok, thanks'
'Shall I do it?' Will asked with a confused expression on his face.
Some cuts didn’t sound that serious. It was actually pretty normal, but under other circumstances, you would’ve flipped out anyways.
'Uhm, I mean… If you want' you answered and Will raised an eyebrow.
'(Y/N), are you sure that everything’s ok?'
Of course, they would be confused, but you were feeling numb. No emotions or anything else was shown on your face. You were too exhausted.
'I’m good, but I’ll go and check on him' you said after emptying your coffee.
Will and April were watching you and are probably thinking that you are insane.
Opening the curtains, you were seeing your boyfriend sitting there.
'Uhm why the hell are you here and not at home sleeping?' Matt raised his voice and you could just shrug with your shoulders.
'They called me in. They needed me' you stated after putting some gloves on. Sitting on a stool in front of him you were getting a better view of his cuts on his face.
'Babe, you should go home. You’re not feeling good. I can see that. Everybody can see that. You need your sleep. Being here isn’t helping at all' he said in a lower voice.
'Could you maybe shut up and let me do my work?' You snapped back and regretted it immediately. Matt had now a disappointed look on his face.
'Sorry, for caring about my girlfriend' he harshly said and you didn’t say anything else.
Trying to clean his cuts, your eyes were filling with tears again. You were angry at yourself. Of course, you would hurt the only person that you loved with all your heart. You weren’t any longer in charge of having yourself together and Matt knew it.
'I’m not mad at you. I just want to open your eyes' he said in a calm tone.
Nodding and biting on your lip, you were trying to stop the tears from falling onto your face seconds after.
'I know. I’m sorry. I’m so sorry' you said while sobbing.
Matt pulled you into his chest and hold you tight. You were crying like a baby now. It was too much for you. You couldn’t handle it anymore. Of course, you needed a break from working, but you couldn’t disappoint your colleagues.
While Matt was holding you, you could hear Will coming in. He agreed to send you home and got you some days to recover and rest. You didn’t say anything because you were too exhausted to speak or even to move.
Several times later, Matt brought you to your shared apartment. He helped you with getting ready for bed. Laying there you were trying to stay awake for him.
'Just get some rest. I’ll be back in some hours' he whispered while stroking your cheek.
You nodded and enjoyed his touch. You could barely keep your eyes open.
'Sleep tight, baby. I love you' were the last words you were hearing, before finally getting the rest you needed.

Shine On: Condition Winners! ~
Congratulations to @hiygamer, @misterstingyjack and @reaperfromtheabyss for winning this week’s contest!
There are a lot of cards that only require very minor tweaks this week, and most of them have stunning designs in general. It’s clear that people took a thoughtful mechanical approach and it shows a remarkable amount of good sense on that front. I think for flavor contests it can be hard to really dig into the mechanics at times, and I’ll be talking about that more later, but after a really rough week, I can’t wait to talk about these cards.
@hiygamer — Dovin’s Decree
From a flavorful perspective, I suppose one could make the argument that Dovin is saying “Stop that!” and then when he has time to slow down and think he’s saying “Okay, seriously, I’m enforcing these things.” That doesn’t really matter here because this is simply a strong limited card that makes a lot of good decisions possible. Bounce + Draw is good for stabilizing, Draw + Thopters is good for racing, and Bounce + Thopters is good for the tempo push. Adding the life onto the bounce really makes this card stand out, honestly.
Yeah, no, it’s totally a limited powerhouse and worth splashing for. I can see this in any Ravnican format, especially RNA where your fliers are important in the Esper splash and your ETB abilities are important in the Bant splash. I wouldn’t say that this card is blowing my mind, but it’s just so darn good. I think if we ever made a Cube, this would be a top-notch instant to add. What can I add that the card doesn’t already say better?
~
@misterstingyjack — Relentless Iteration
And again, a splashy card without a whole lot of flavorful backing but with a lot of mechanical strongness. Also set on Ravnica. Also with a WAR-block mechanic. ... Hm. Am I biased this week? I have no idea. This is just a strong card, though, although I might definitely be biased towards spell copying. That said, spell copying is generally weak as a mechanic if you’re not storming out. Does that matter? Not really. Because, well, this card’s smooth like buttery matte sleeves.
We encounter the “problem” where its strengths are self-proclaimed, so I guess I’ll just say that overall this week I like how people incorporated mechanics into their designs as a way to fully utilize the importance of the “if” clauses. I think that having an ear to the ground with how to use these things is important to a designer, and you used it well in a way that I hadn’t necessarily thought of. You know what would’ve been an absolutely stellar card this week, actually? I’m sorry to digress, but imagine if there was a card like this that used retrace and cared about the kind of land that was discarded to cast it. Right? This is a jump(start)ing-off point for a lot of fantastic space. That’s what I like about it the most. And I can imagine the silly Izzet art that comes with it.
~
@reaperfromtheabyss — Redolent Fleshcarver
Alara! God, I am biased. But, I’m also fair. I hope. Because this is a still-very-strong card with a single tweak. “Redolent.” I really don’t think that the unpleasantness of this guy is compatible with that word. “Pungent” might’ve been a little closer to what you were thinking, no? Anyway, get your ass out of the thesaurus and come back to the real world where this card kicks ass. A big thing that gets bigger with death is pushed these days compared to other zombies, but hey, that’s the nature of the beast. Or zombie. It’s not so strong as to be invincible, and the fact is that unearthing will potentially kill itself, which is important.
Still, “if it wasn’t cast” is so cool! You’re not usually gonna cheat it into play, but what if you did? I mean, shoot, Unearth as a card is modern-legal and has some insane playability. It’s not a loop but it’s value, and it can swing in well, and it just gets bigger, and on and on and on. This card feels fun to play. It complicates the board, it complicates choices, and it just plain works. This is a Grixis love letter and a black love letter to boot. Good stuff all around. Very interesting card.
Runners and stuff soon! Be good.

Headaches and Hospitals
A/N: I love JJ idk why so many people crap on her. And we need more JJ content pleasee
Summary: Who would’ve thought that passing out would lead you to the best decisions you have ever made?
CW: Marriage, pregnancy, hospitals, little mentions of the case. Nothing to serious just lots of fluff.
You felt like crap. Like you just wanted to get back in bed and not get up but you had tons of paperwork to do. You got ready like usual and tried to hide how sick you felt.
“Morning kid.”
“Hey Morgan.” You sat in your chair and rubbed your temples, trying to get rid of you stubborn headache. You pulled out a bottle of ibuprofen and took some with some of your water.
“Hey, babe are you ok?” You looked up to your girlfriend standing next to you.
“It’s just a headache Jayje.” You smiled and kissed the top of your head. “I’m going to go make coffee do you want a cup?” She nodded.
“That would be nice, thank you. Just bring it to my office-nope conference room, we have a case.” You stood up to go get her coffee and felt dizzy. You closed your eyes and held onto your desk to keep steady. “Woah, you ok?”
“Yeah I’m fine. Go get ready I will bring you some coffee.” She did so but was very hesitant about it. You brought her the coffee and sat down in your usual spot.
“Thank you. Cincinnati Ohio, 3 women found in their houses. Women were all choked to death.”
“How do you know they were choked?” Derek questioned. JJ clicked the remote and pictures of the women being choked. You looked away and down at your file. You looked at dead bodies all the time but for some reason, this just made your stomach churn.
“Has Garcia been able to track the pictures and where they came from?” You asked.
“No. They were printed. Someone scanned them to show us.” You nodded.
“No visible tattoos. No marks to define him at all. Wearing gloves so he left no DNA, this guy really thought of everything.”
“This has to be premeditated. He somehow gets into the house without breaking in or scaring them, and then corners them maybe?” Emily pointed out.
“Which is exactly why we have to leave soon. The time is getting shorter between each murder. Wheels up in 30.”
“All of the women look similar to each other. All of them have blonde hair, similar heights, and they are all wearing almost identical dresses. Garcia do any of the victims have a partner?” She clicked her mouse a couple of times.
“Yes. From what it looks Abby was just proposed to, Cheyenne had a long term boyfriend, and Kayla was about to get married.” She sounded so disappointed as he talked.
“So if his long term partner left him, then he was angry. Whoever she is, she was the trigger.” You added.
“Ok, JJ I want you and Y/N to talk to victims families and partners. Emily, Reid and Derek go to the latest crime scene. Me and Rossi will go down to the M.E.’s office.” You moved back to where you and JJ sat before. Your headache slowly was getting worse but you had to ignore it. You had a job to do.
“Y/N, are you ok?” You looked at your girlfriend.
“Baby, I promise I’m fine. I probably just need something to eat. As soon as we land I will grab something ok?”
“Fine, but I don’t want you stressing yourself out to much. You look tired, like you haven’t been sleeping.” She moved into the chair next to yours. “Get some rest, it’s a short ride but a nice nap might help.” You smiled at her. She was always concerned for your well being and never left you alone if she thought something was wrong. She was stubborn but a good person. You rest your head on her shoulder and cuddle up on the chair. She lays her head on yours as you drift to sleep. She was right, you did need some sleep, but the nap was no help. You still had a headache and got dizzy once more while walking in to the cars. She drove both of you to the police department where you met with the families. You started with the latest victim, Kayla’s fiancé Matt.
“Hi Matt. I’m Jennifer Jareau and this is Agent Y/N Y/L/N. We have a couple of questions for you if that’s ok.” He nodded and you sat down next to him.
You spent the next 20 minutes talking to Matt about his fiancée. You felt an overwhelming amount of sadness hearing how he talked about her. She was a insanely good person who took every precaution. After you had finished your questions your thanked him and moved on to the next family. Each of them brought your moods down even more. JJ had been helping you with the questions because she was still new to profiling. You had helped her study and get ready for everything when she was becoming one and it made you so proud. When she came back to the BAU you were so happy because this meant she wouldn’t have to leave for her job anymore.
By the time you had finished your headache was 5 times worse than it was this morning. You closed your eyes and held your head in your hands.
“Not getting any better?” You shook your head. “Why don’t I take you to the hotel?”
“No that’s fine. We have a lot of work to do.”
You spent the rest of your day trying to make up a geological profile with Reid and JJ. Nothing was happening and everything just sucked.
After 6 days of work and 2 more victims, you got a call from someone saying a man broke into her house. You all geared up because he changed is M.O. on the last victim and used a gun. You drove with the Derek and Emily to the house. You 3 went in the front and Hotch, Rossi, and Reid went through the back. Everything was going well until you were about to catch the Unsub. You started to feel dizzy, your vision was fading and suddenly you were falling. Luckily Reid was behind you and noticed you shifting before you fell.
“I swear I am going to murder that girl. I kept telling her to rest and relax for a second but she wouldn’t listen. God she is so stubborn.” You woke up in a hospital from hearing your girlfriends voice.
“Mmm, I learn from the best.” You reached for your girlfriends hand.
“You’re so lucky I love you Y/L/N.”
“I am pretty lucky huh. Come here.” You moved over in the hospital bed and set a place for her to lay down. “Lay down. Don’t be stubborn come here.” She smirked slightly and laid down. She put her arm around you as you rest your head on her chest. She ran her fingers through your hair. “I love you Jennifer Jareau.” You whispered.
“I love you too Y/N Y/L/N.” She kissed the top of your head and you held her hand.
“We should get married.” You looked up at her and smiled. “Right? Jennifer Jareau, I love you so much. I don’t have a ring or anything but, will you marry me?” She pulled you in for a kiss. “I’m taking that as a yes?”
“You bet your ass that’s a yes. On one condition.” You nodded. “You stop fainting in front of unsubs.” You smiled and pulled her in for a sweet kiss. You sat there for a second before she pulled away.
“Sounds like a deal. The moment we land, I am taking you and we are going ring shopping.” She smiled.
“I think that’s a great plan.”
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Your legs felt like jello as you stood at the alter, waiting for JJ to walk down. When you did see her, she was absolutely gorgeous. You wore the jumpsuit the both of you picked out and she wore dress. You couldn’t help but stare at her beauty as she walked down the aisle. “God you’re gorgeous.” You saw her blush at your compliment. She took your hands and Emily started officiating. You weren’t really listening much though, you were too focused on the woman in front of you.
“Jennifer Jareau. When I first met you, all I thought about was how kind and beautiful you were. I knew that you had to be my person. I had to at least be friends with that girl. And luckily I got just that. I’ll be honest, when you met Will I was kind of disappointed. I thought, I wont ever get her, I was too late. But I couldn’t be happier that you met him because now you have Henry. I love that kid so much, he brings so much joy in to everyone’s life. And, Will sorry, when you and Will broke up, I was elated. I knew that I had to take my chance. So I gave you some time to cope with everything before deciding it was now or never. When you said yes to that date, I thought I would cry. When I stayed over the first time, I thought it would be weird with Henry. I thought he wouldn’t want me to stay over. Luckily that kid takes after you. He is kind, and smart, and has terrible eating habits. When he cuddled up to me for the first time I did cry. I cried because your baby trusted me and that’s the most important thing to me. I promise to take care of him everyday and to love him wholeheartedly. Loving you means loving him and I am nothing but prepared to shower him with love and respect. I love you so much Jayje.” You saw a tear roll down her cheek as Henry came up to you. You held him on your hip, both of you placing a kiss on his head before JJ started her vows. Her promise to you.
“Y/N Y/L/N. If you could hear the phone call of me telling Emily you had asked me on a date, it would consist of us both screaming into the phone. The night we went out together I fell in love. I didn’t realize what I had been missing my entire life. I was hesitant to ask you to say over that night because I was worried about how Henry would react, but you were so good to him. You always have been. And whenever I saw you with Henry my heart grew and so did my love for you. You have been nothing but good to me and him and I couldn’t ask for a better person to help me parent my child. You however are so stubborn. Like the most stubborn person I have ever met. You wouldn’t go back to the hotel for one day. You wouldn’t relax for one day and I guess I can’t be mad because if you had, if you had started to feel better that day, we wouldn’t be here in this moment. We aren’t the most typical couple but I couldn’t ask for someone better. Thank you for everything you have done for me and Henry. We both love you some much.”
“By the power of your love and commitment, and the power vested in me, I now pronounce you wives! You may now kiss the bride.” You didn’t hesitate for a second as she pulled you into a kiss.
You smiled at your new wife sitting in front of you, taking in her beauty when you heard Emily tapping her glass. “If I could have everyone’s attention. Hi, I’m Emily. I met these women around 6 years ago and if I could take back everything and change it, I wouldn’t. When I joined the BAU I met these two women who were extremely clingy and affectionate but only towards each other. When I heard that Y/N had proposed I cried. Like I cried and I think Garcia has proof. The kindest women I had ever met have fallen in love and I was lucky enough to witness it. I was gone for some time and protected by them. They both risked all of their friendships to keep me safe, even if it meant putting themselves in danger. Everyday they save people without fail. If you haven’t met him already, next to JJ, is her son Henry. He wrote something for me to read, so here goes. ‘Dear Y/N. Thank you for making my mama happy. Before she was sad and it made me sad. You made her happy and made me happy.’” You felt the tears start to form in your eyes and called Henry to come sit in your lap. You held him close as Emily continued to read. “‘Thank your for being so nice to me and making me cakes all the time. They are really good. I love you mom.’” When you heard the last thing, the tears started to flow. You held the little boy even closer, whispering ‘I love you too’ in his ear. It was the first time he ever called you his mom. “I think that just perfects the night. I would continue but I cannot top that. Congratulations ladies. We all love you so much.” She raised her glass. “To Y/N and JJ. May they have their happily ever after.” You raised your glasses and clinked them while setting in a sweet kiss.
“Ew!” You laughed and pulled away at Henry’s comment.
“Ok little man.” You grabbed her hand. “May I have this dance?” JJ held your hand and you led her to the dance floor, your arms around her waist and hers around your neck. Her head laid on your chest, underneath your chin, as the both of you swayed. “Thank you.”
She looked at you. “For what?” A smiled grew on your face.
“Everything. Loving me. Trusting me with Henry. Taking care of me. Letting me take care of you. I love you Mrs. Jareau.”
“I love you too Mrs. Jareau.” Everything else was a blur. Everything but her.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Can we talk?” You sat her down on the couch.
“Y/N are you ok?” You could see the concern on her face.
“I’m fine. I wanted to ask you something.” She nodded to give you permission to ask the question. “Jayje, I wanna have a baby.” Her face lit up.
“Really?” You nodded and she pulled you into a hug. “Of course.”
That week the both of you did a crazy amount of research. You found a good doctor and made an appointment. A couple months later you were pregnant. You were both ecstatic.
“JJ. We are going to have a baby.”
You had both decided that you wanted to wait to tell the team in case something happened. However it became very hard to do this because your emotions were everywhere. The extra hormones you had to take were wearing off a little at this point but now the hormones you produced during pregnancy were taking over. Your temper was short and you cried all the time. You had morning sickness as well so you were constantly sick. The team thought something was up but didn’t ask what was happening. At 4 months you decided to tell the team because you were starting to show and eventually you wouldn’t be able to hide it. You decided to tell them right before a case.
“Wheels up in 30.”
“Um, before any of your guys go, me and JJ have something to tell you.” Everyone waited around but they looked nervous.
“You guys are still together right? And neither of you are leaving, right?” You smiled at shook your head at Penelope.
“No, well kind of but no we aren’t leaving and yes, we are still together.” You looked at JJ before pulling out a small box and handing it to Hotch. “Will you open this?” He nodded and took the box from you without question. JJ held your hand. He let out a small gasp and smiled.
“What? Hotch, what is it?” Derek questioned. He took the ultrasounds out and placed them on the table. There was an audible gasp before the team looked at you. Penelope was the first to run over.
“Congratulations you two! Wait, who is pregnant?” You looked at your wife and raised you hand slightly.
“Congrats mamas.” Derek came over and hugged the both of you. Then Rossi, Blake, Hotch, and finally Spencer.
“If either of you need anything, just tell me.” You smiled and held your arms out for a hug. He accepted and you felt calm again. You had grown close with Spencer over the years. He was one of your best friends and you couldn’t be more thankful for that. You pulled away but still held his arms in your hands.
“Thank you Spence. Really.” He smiled and congratulated JJ before walking out with the team. You stood behind with JJ. “So what do you say baby? Should we go kick some ass?”
“I don’t think you’ll be doing much ass kicking.” You scoffed at her comment.
“And what is that supposed to mean?” She kissed you softly and whispered her next words on your lips.
“You struggled to put your shoes on this morning.” You stood there stunned as she pulled away and began to go get ready.
“I cannot believe you!” She smirks as she walks away.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You decided to stop going out on the field at 6 months. Babies sometimes come early, why risk that. Why risk getting hurt on the field. You had everything figured out. You were 8 months getting slowly closer to 9. You would stay and help Garcia during everything. JJ was going to be there during the birth no matter where she was and everything was going to be perfect.
You knocked on Garcia’s office door. “Good morning lovely lady. How is the case going?” You weren’t feeling well that morning so you decided to rest a little after the sitter took Henry to school.
“Good so far I think. You doing ok?” You smiled and nodded.
“Yes. Ready to not be pregnant anymore but I’m ok.” Little did you know, your wish shall soon be granted. “How’s JJ? I was going to call her this morning but didn’t want to interrupt anything.”
“She’s good. She told me to tell you that she loves you. She really does you know. Like, I have never seen anyone love somebody so much.” You smiled.
“I love her too. Well I am with you today.” You pulled the chair you guys had put in her office when you first started staying back from cases. Her office was nice. Busy, but relaxing.
You spent the day with her, and the team at times, trying to figure things out. Henry came for a visit after school as the babysitter had a class she couldn’t miss. He sat in the Batcave’ with you and Garcia playing with some toys she had. The day was long and nothing happened for awhile. Nothing happened until your baby decided to make their big entrance.
You had felt some contractions throughout the day just assuming they were Braxton hicks. You were good about hiding them too, but still Garcia noticed.
“Y/N, are you ok honey?” You smiled at her and nodded.
“Just a contraction. I’m okay.” Her jaw dropped.
“No ma’am. We are getting you to the hospital. Hey Henry? Can you pack up your ruck sack for me? We need to get Y/N somewhere, I think you might get to meet your little sibling today!” Henry instantly smiled and was frantically picking up. He walked next to you as Garcia took you downstairs. You called JJ as soon as you go into the car.
“Hey baby, you ok?” JJ questioned.
“No. I’m not. JJ you need to get on the jet and get down here now.” You yelled. The pain was starting to kick your ass.
“What? Y/N, what’s happening?” Garcia took the phone and put it on speaker.
“Hi JJ, you’re on speaker with Henry in the car. I am driving Y/N to the hospital, she was starting to have contractions and on our way out her water broke.” You heard JJ audibly gasp before hearing her yell at Hotch. She was screaming at him to get her on the jet which calmed you down surprisingly.
She stayed on the phone with you the entire time you drove to the hospital but you hung up when you got there. They got you into a room where you sat with Garcia and Henry until Will came to pick him up. Your labor was long, thankfully, so JJ was there for the birth of your daughter. The first time you held her, neither of you could take you eyes off of her.
“Do you have any name ideas?” JJ asked. You looked up and smiled for a moment before turning back to your daughter.
“I was thinking Rosaline.” You thought back to your wedding night. To your bestfriends speech before she left to go to London.
“Rosaline Emily Jareau.” You smiled and nodded.
“Hi Rosaline. We’re your moms.”
The introductions of your daughter was sweet. Hotch was asked to be her godfather and Emily her godmother. Garcia spoiled her rotten with gifts. Spencer eventually taught her new fun things. Derek taught her how to play softball and JJ taught her soccer. Rossi also spoiled her with love and gifts. When Emily got back she tried to teach her how to weald a gun, that however didn’t last long. Even as the team spilt apart, they all were there for her. You couldn’t ask for a better family.

the one where someone doesn’t know who kevin day is, pt. 4
part one two three five
extra content linked at the bottom!!
the cousins are all on the bus. they’re the first ones there, but kevin hangs behind to wait for dalton. apparently it’s obvious.
nicky hangs out the open bus door. “he meet wymack yet?” and goes bug eyed when kevin shakes his head. “you haven’t introduced your boyfriend to your dad yet?! this is the first time they’re meeting?!”
and jesus, he didn’t think it was a big deal. it’s just the banquet. but he also knows he’s never had a father before. or a boyfriend, really.
“is... should i have done that before? why- it’s not some big deal.”
nicky shrugs. “first impressions are important.” and goes in the bus.
and now kevin’s trying not to get overwhelmed.
abby’s in charge of the headcount, but wymack still climbs out of the bus when the dates get there. dalton is the first one.
he goes right to kevin- still waiting outside the bus, and gives him a quick kiss before grabbing his hand and continuing on his way to wymack.
he sticks his hand right out. “i’m dalton. it’s nice to meet you, mr. wymack.”
wymack nods. “you as well. heard good things.” kevin hasn’t really said things about dalton, but he lets it go. probably just being polite.
“hell, hope i can live up to them.” he laughs. “i would’ve made it a point to introduce myself before, i apologize. i feel like i’ve been grading finals for weeks, now.”
wymack gets talking, and kevin honestly feels like a third wheel. dalton was doing a better job at talking with his father than he did sometimes.
kevin sends dalton onto the bus eventually, and wymack holds him back. “you told him shit?”
“yes. not the yakuza.”
“but he knows you’re kinda fucked in the head?” kevin almost frowns. he’s not wrong. wymack adds as a second thought, “not to say the rest of those idiots aren’t.”
“he knows.” he normally wouldn’t care to mention it, but he really wants wymack to like dalton. “he helped me with a panic attack a little bit ago.”
“riko?” he nods. every time it happens it makes wymack look beaten down. kevin almost regrets telling him, but wymack purses his lips and after a moment shoves his shoulder towards the bus. “he’s a good kid. stop your worrying and get your ass on the bus.”
it’s as good as a compliment as he’d hoped for, honestly.
this years banquet is in virginia. it’s a six hour drive, and kevin had already explained why they don’t fly if they don’t have to, so dalton’s kind of made it his mission to get along with some of the foxes.
kevin would rather he not. it’s not like the last time dalton spent time with the foxes they spilled his life faults in front of his new boyfriend.
that would be insane.
matt, dan, and dalton talk the most on the ride. renee joins the conversation at some point and matt and dan butt out.
kevin’s busy talking to wymack about exy, and horror sets in his eyes when he sees neil talking to his boyfriend. “we’re three hours in, kevin, he’s made it this far.” as in, neil won’t break him. but kevin’s nervous anyway.
until he hears what they’re talking about.
math.
“that’s disgusting.” kevin leans back in his seat and watches them talk.
renee smiles. “you’re dating him.”
the foxes are sat on the opposite side of the court of the ravens, as has become routine ever since neil and riko’s encounter. instead they’re sat with the trojans and jeremy, jean, and alvarez sit across from them. kevin smiles when jeremy comes around to say hi, but he smiles just a bit wider when introducing dalton.
jean and kevin have this thing. they don’t talk often, but when they do it’s more of a check up. so when jean asks him in french how he is, dalton grins. “do all exy players just speak french?” it’s more of a remark to jeremy, who laughs and tells him jean said he taught kevin french when they both lived at edgar allen together, which makes dalton feel a little bad. kevin had told him how he knew jean, and about living at edgar allen with riko’s abuse.
later, dalton grabs his hand under the table. “is french triggering for you?” and, what? “jeremy said jean taught you french, and you’ve told me about your time with jean.” oh.
dalton was a graduate student, sure, but he was more intuitive than kevin thought. “french was an escape because no one but us understood it. i like speaking french to you, because you like it. it helps to take away the meaning behind why i learned it in the first place, i think.”
“okay... can i kiss you? would you be okay with that?”
kevin raises a brow. “i mean, jesus, i came out for a reason.” he starts to turn away with fake annoyance, but dalton snorts and turns his chin back before he gets away. it’s just a small peck, but it’s enough to make dalton smile so kevin doesn’t care.
jeremy circles back. “volleyball, guys?”
dalton snaps his head back to kevin. “oh, i’m going to dominate you.” and takes off.
“be on my team!”
“nope!”
normally they’d drive back that night. the first banquet after the disastrous one last year was the fall one (which kevin went to with renee because he was still scared to introduce dalton), and they’d gone back that night since it was only a two hour drive.
wymack wasn’t sold on it at first, but after getting multiple confirmations from everyone that it’d be okay, he booked rooms so they could drive back sunday morning instead.
the foxes are all drunk- save for renee, andrew, neil, kevin and dalton.
they gather in matt and dan’s room for hours. at one point, kevin’s so out of it and tired that he doesn’t notice dalton leave for a moment.
it’s because of andrew.
but all must go well because dalton makes it back alive and unfazed. he settles behind kevin and kisses his cheek. “wanna head back?” he drops his head into the crook of his neck. “you look really good, baby.”
that’s a new nickname. he thinks he likes it.
ahaha. aha. you know what happens.
dalton asks kevin if he would want to come to maryland, his home, for a few days during winter break. kevin says sure before he realizes that it probably includes him meeting dalton’s family.
kevin does a google search once he’s settled back in his bed at palmetto.
when do people normally say i love you in a relationship?
he deletes it almost as soon as he searches it. it’s a stupid thing to search.
dalton sends him a text. a funny twitter post, and a message under it.
the banquet was so much fun, i’m so glad you asked me to go w you❤️❤️
kevin sends a heart back.

Slapped By Legal (Matt Murdock x Reader)
@locke-writes S u f f e r
‘Twas four weeks before Christmas, in a Hell’s Kitchen home, where you sat in the kitchen, feeling downtrodden and boned. Your laptop was open, the window filled with tabs Of all the potential gifts you could feasibly nab. But this was three hours into searching and nary a perfect gift could be found As your brain began contemplating just burning the building to the ground —
Okay, maybe don’t do that. But you would’ve been lying if you’d claimed you weren’t tempted to at least fling your laptop out the window. Buying gifts for one’s boyfriend was usually a point if glee for most couples. You had coworkers who would gush about what they’d gotten their partners, eagerly asking you if you wanted to see it. Even without you courteously saying yes, they would shove their phone into your face, forcing you to not only pretend to be interested, but also to remember that the clock was ticking — and you still didn’t have anything for your own partner.
At face value, Matt would presumably be a relatively easy man to but for. He lived well within his means, both to regard his disability but also because he was just simply a humble person. Most people like that would’ve been satisfied with, like, a bottle of wine.
But not your Matt: Your Matt was Matthew Michael Murdock, a man both blessed and cursed with sensitivities that made his tastes particular — literally. You had to sit on the side of caution when it came to nearly everything: Certain materials felt scratchy on his skin; certain foods and drinks tasted like every step of the factory that had contributed to their production; cologne bothered his nose; and he didn’t much listen to music anyway, so a radio or stereo would’ve been mostly pointless.
You released a loud, aggravated groan as you flopped in your seat. You were pretty positive that no matter where Matt was at this point in time, he probably heard you. Even if it was from Queens.
Fuck this, you thought as you grumpily scrolled further along your current tab. That bastard is getting a gift card. Or a wine-stopper. Or —
And that’s when you saw it. In an instant, your posture turned upright alongside your sense of hope.
— Or that!
Everything about it was perfect: The price, the content, the opportunity -- you simply had to have Matt have it!
Christmas tended to be a rather small affair for the Nelson & Murdock crew. With nobody having any real family to speak of (or, at the very least, any family worth visiting), the four of you were more than happy to make do with your own little traditions: Ordering Thai from down the street, drinking yourselves silly without the guilt, and just plain enjoying one another’s company. Oh, and opening presents together, of course.
And the entire while Foggy and Karen expressed excitement over their gifts, you sat there with a slight hint of smugness just barely nestled inside of you. When they gave Matt his own gift, you couldn’t help but feel some relief: A mug and a paperweight in the shape of an apple. Sure signs that even after all this time, they, too, struggled with what the hell to give the guy who generally wants for nothing.
You didn’t want to silently toot your own horn, but you already knew you had them beat. Hence why you saved the best for last. And although you weren’t quite certain as to how his innate lie detection worked, you couldn’t help but suspect that he was on to you. It was subtle, but it was like it was hidden in the crook of his brow every time he happened to face your direction. Not that he said anything, of course. He wasn’t new to your breed of mischief, after all.
Two could play at this game. All he needed to do was wait patiently until your dramatic self became too overwhelmed with eagerness to bear it.
The gusto with which you presented the parcel was met with further brow-cocking on Matt’s part.
“Matthew,” you spoke, enforcing an exaggeratory accent befitting of an American’s idea of a British butler, “your Yuletide endowment.”
Matt huffed with amusement. “‘Endowment’? What, are we living fancy now?” You made no response, perfectly content to simply watch him rip apart the colorful paper with anticipation. To be perfectly honest, Matt wasn’t entirely sure what to expect from you. Normally, he could tell what something was at a distance. But once boxes and further packaging got involved whatever his senses reported back to him got all fuzzy and muddled.
But surely whatever you’d gotten was something you were proud of. After all, he’d spent the entire gift-unwrapping listening to the small, telltale signs of your excitement.
“It’s a . . .” He lifted it from the ruins of tissue paper. “. . . T-shirt?”
“Uh-huuhhh!” you chriped. He could hear you practically vibrating. Matt wasn’t averse to t-shirts. But he had to admit, it was a bit of a strange thing for you to get so excited about. Though, feeling about the cotton, he could sense some roughness. Ink. Was there a design on this? Was it a graphic t-shirt?
“Put it on, put it on!” you cheered. He did so, not able to think of a reason why he shouldn’t. Besides, well, the fact that he knew you were being highly suspicious. The brief moment it took for him to pop his head through the neck hole, he could hear rustling coming from your part of the little circle. He also heard Foggy snort before weakly attempting to stifle his obvious laugh. He heard Karen’s breath hitch as well, though not in any way that denoted discomfort. In fact, he heard heartbeats quicken and lungs practically spasming.
What the hell had you done.
“Okay, I give up, what does it say?” Matt demanded.
“Nothing!” Foggy squeaked.
Matt’s lips pressed into a thing, unimpressed line. “Yeah, that’s bullshit. I don’t even need to hear for a lie, what is it? What does it say?”
“It, um,” Karen offered fruitlessly, “It says ‘World’s Best Boyfriend’, that’s all.”
“Seriously?” Matt sighed, though not without cracking a hint of a smile. “You’re going to lie to a blind guy? And to me of all blind guys?” He heard you shuffling towards him, walking on your knees.
“Don’t worry about it, Babe,” you insisted, pressing a kiss to his scruffy cheek. In the moment you leaned towards him, he could smell a new smell on you: It wasn’t unlike the one that belonged to his brand-new shirt.
But before he could demand the truth any further, Foggy cut in with a giggle-wobbled, “Time for Christmas photos! Say cheese, Lovebirds!”
Matt could only give in; there was no point in trying to wedge the truth out of any of you. All he knew was that he knew you three were lying about . . . something.
Ah, well, he decided as he heard the click of Foggy’s camera phone going off. Perhaps there was a way to get the truth out of you . . .
It didn’t work. In spite of his best efforts (and damn, were they his best), he couldn’t get it out of you. However, that wasn’t to say that he didn’t get anything he wanted out of you. And as he began to fall prey to his exhaustion, the events of the day finally catching up to him, he snuggled his naked form loser to yours. Perhaps the truth would have to wait for another day . . .
For your part, you were proud of yourself. Admittedly, part of the pride’s source came from the fact that you were able to hold your ground in the end (Matt was just too giving of a lover to be good at torturing you). But for the most part, it came from the fact that you were able to execute your plan as you intended it. In a way, it was also like a little bit of revenge: Revenge on Matt for being one of the absolute worst people to shop for. And for that, maybe you’d hold on to your not-so-secret secret. Just for a little while longer . . .
But first, one last relishing in your success before you succumbed to sleep.
You carefully and slowly made your way to your side of the bed. Not enough to properly wake up your sleeping boyfriend, but just so that you could reach your phone from its resting place on the nightstand. Once acquired, you pressed the home button and set your sights aglow with the image you had last had your phone on before your and Matt’s little session.
It was the picture Foggy had taken earlier of you and Matt, dressed in the matching T-shirts you had acquired for yourselves. You grinned cheekily at the camera, making sure that the bubbly white writing on the black fabric was perfectly legible: “My Ass Got Slapped By Legal.”
And next to you was Matt, a smile planted on his handsome face but altogether tainted with confusion and growing insanity over what the hell you had him wearing -- an equally black t-shirt with equally bubbly white writing: “I Am Legal.”
Oh, yeah, you decided as you smiled to yourself. This was going on the Christmas cards next year.

D3: The Mighty Ducks (1996) is the best Ducks movie and a flawless coming of age movie
It’s no secret that The Mighty Ducks are a beloved trilogy. The three films spawned a professional NHL team named in their honor, 2021 sequel series, as well as many knockoff films released in the 1990s. But with any movie series, fans tend to rank the films and have passionate opinions on which is the best. For most Ducks fans, the answer is simple: D2. It has the Bash Brothers, Team USA dominating, the iconic “Ducks Fly Together” scene and two Queen songs. What’s not to love? But upon a rewatch of the trilogy, I came to realize that it’s not D2, or even the original, that is the best in the series.
It’s the criminally underrated 1996 D3 that for me, is the most mature and has the most heart. Perhaps it’s that the Ducks are now old enough to carry their own weight on screen. Perhaps it’s that the film takes a look at trauma, specifically trauma in teenagers, and how that manifests itself. Perhaps it’s that the film is maybe ahead of its time, in the way it discusses classism, racism and sexism. There is so much about this overly hated film that makes it the best Ducks movie and a perfect coming of age film.
The movie starts presumably a few years following the Ducks’ win against Iceland. They all look noticeably older - definitely older than the middle schoolers we left behind in 1994 - and all of the male Ducks’ voices have dropped a few octaves. Gordon Bombay, played by Emilio Estevez, is presenting the team (except for unfortunately, Jesse Hall, a leader among the Ducks who would’ve made for a strong presence in this mature film, as well as Portman, but we’ll get to him later) with scholarships to his alma mater, Eden Hall, a preparatory high school in Minnesota. Charlie Conway, played by a young, pre-Dawson’s Creek Joshua Jackson, is the Ducks’ captain and unspoken leader. There’s been much debate over the years over whether or not Charlie is the true captain of the Ducks. Adam Banks, played by Vincent Larusso, is far and away better than practically every Duck combined. Fulton Reed, played by Elden Henson, has shown more maturity and leadership at this point. It’s probably true that the Ducks as a team think that Charlie is Captain because of Bombay’s favoritism towards him (and his mother), but I think that this film makes it abundantly clear why Charlie is the captain.
D3 is Charlie’s story. We see that in the opening scene, when Bombay tells Charlie he will not be following the team to Eden Hall, accepting a job instead in California. We learned in the original Mighty Ducks film, that Charlie and his mother left a bad situation in Charlie’s father when Charlie was very young. We also hear about Charlie’s mother, Casey’s marriage to a new man in the D2, who we can assume from what Jan says, that Charlie doesn’t like. We see in that first film, Charlie’s reaction to Bombay announcing that he is leaving the Ducks after the two of them have formed a bond. It is very clear that Charlie deals with abandonment issues, stemming from trauma in his early childhood. Charlie freaks out when a D3 Bombay announces the same thing, and storms off.
Change is the biggest theme in D3. We see how change affects each of the Ducks, even those who don’t get many lines. Some, like Russ Tyler, played by SNL’s Kenan Thompson, think it’s a good thing. All of the Ducks don’t come from good neighborhoods and we assume that most of them don’t have the best home lives, especially when Charlie tells their new coach, Orion, played by Jeffrey Nordling, that the Ducks are the only good thing that any of them have had. Going to a preparatory school should be a good thing for them. But for most of them, it’s not. The new Ducks (who by the way, three of which are people of color, and one of which, is a woman) are immediately told that “their kind” is not welcome at Eden Hall. The Varsity team claim that they feel this way because the captain’s younger brother was not admitted onto the JV team because of the Ducks’ scholarships, but it’s very clear what they really mean. Russ commented that he’s the only black person on the whole campus earlier, and he, Luis Mendoza (The Sandlot’s Mike Vitar) and Ken Wu (Justin Wong) are the only people of color we see in the film. Change takes a toll on each member of the team. We see it the most in Charlie, but we also hear from Fulton on how the separation from his best friend, Dean Portman (Aaron Lohr), who decided not to enroll at Eden Hall, is taking a toll on him. Connie (Margerite Moreau) and Guy (Garrette Henson) have presumably broken up, as the two small scenes we get of them, they are arguing. It’s a transition period, one that the first year of high school often is. But it’s also a look on how a rich, white privileged world is vastly different than the one that the Ducks are used to.
Coach Orion seems like a hardass, especially when he tells Charlie at their first practice that he will no longer be “Captain Duck” (as coined by D2’s Gunnar Stahl, played by Scott Whyte, who now plays the level-headed Varsity goalie Scooter). This, to the Ducks, is a line in the sand. Ever since Bombay turned District 5 into the Ducks four years previous, Charlie has been their captain. They’re in a whole new environment, where the man who gave them so much happiness and so many friendships isn’t, and their “little Duck tricks” won’t work anymore. Orion thinks Charlie is a showoff, and perhaps he is. This Charlie is vastly different than the sweet, shy Charlie we see in D1 and D2. But this Charlie is older, has just been abandoned by a man he considered a father, and is being harassed on a daily basis for being, as Varsity Captain Reilly puts it, “white trash.” I find it hard to believe sometimes that fans can look at Charlie from the outside, and not see who he is on the inside. All of Charlie’s closest relationships that we see portrayed in this movie, are with women. His mother (who he, as a teenage boy, says “I love you” to in the final scene of the movie), his teammates, Connie and Julie, who he gets a lot more screentime with, and with new love interest, Linda (Margot Finley).
I think now is a great time to talk about the shockingly impressive way all of the female characters are portrayed in this series, particularly this movie, especially for a 90s sports film. Connie has always been a leader on and off the ice. She’s in a relationship with Guy, but it’s not her only character trait. Dubbed “the Velvet Hammer” by Averman (Matt Doherty), she stands up for herself, and for her shy teammates (she literally shoves Peter Mark - a character cut out of D2 and D3 for good reason - in D1 when he insults Charlie) and stands up to the entire Varsity team despite them telling her that they hope they can “fight” with her later. Julie “The Cat” Gaffney (Columbe Jacobsen) is the second best player on the Ducks, despite the little ice time (thanks, Bombay) we see her have. She is the first person to tell of the Varsity, telling Captain Reilly that his little brother “just wasn’t good enough.” She’s a huge facilitator in the fire ant prank and despite the very weird and out of character game she had against the Blake Bears, shows that she deserves the number one goalie slot that Reilly gives her - despite what Goldberg, and the obvious underlying sexism there, have to say. I’ve also always been very impressed with Charlie’s mother, Casey (Heidi Kling). Although she has a romance with Bombay in D1, she makes it clear from the get go that her first priority is Charlie. We know that she took the two of them away from an abusive situation, and she’s a goddamn hero for that. Her scenes in D3 are limited, but they always show her chastising Charlie’s antics and encouraging him to stay in school. It goes unsaid, but it’s clear that she knows that he’s not going to get an education this good in the problematic public school system. But according to Linda, Charlie’s love interest, the private school system is no better. The first time we see Linda, she is protesting the “outdated” Warriors team name. This was in a 1996 kids movie, no less. She holds her own against Charlie, calling him out when he’s wrong. No one aside from Charlie, and maybe Fulton, get much screentime or lines aside from Bombay and Orion, but her presence and the point of her character is clear - not every rich person agrees with the horrible things that wealthy people do.
Back to the plot.
When the Ducks receive their positions, they learn that Banks, as a freshman, has made Varsity. From an outside perspective, they seems obvious. Banks is the best player we see in any of the films, definitely miles better than the losers on Varsity, so it seems obvious that he would be promoted. But Banks is unhappy with this. Adam Banks is a fan favorite character, definitely due to the sweet, understated performance by Larusso, but we don’t see much of him. From what we do see of him though, he underwent a huge character arc from D1 to now. In D1, Banks goes against his father’s protests and joins the Ducks, claiming that he “just wants to play hockey.” Here in D3, we see that Banks is utterly miserable despite playing with some of the best players in the state, purely because he’s not with his friends. At the end of the film, he makes the (questionable) decision to rejoin the Ducks and go against the Varsity. But Varsity seems to feel that Banks fits in with them, for obvious reasons. He’s the only Duck who comes from an affluent background, and he’s definitely the most clean cut. Captain Reilly is visibly angry in the final showdown with the Ducks that they no longer have Banks on their side, as if he’s betrayed “his kind.”
The turning point of the film comes when after Charlie has quit the freshman team (no longer the Ducks), Hans, a father figure to the Ducks and Bombay, suddenly passes away. It’s an insanely dark moment for a Disney film, especially when Bombay returns to the funeral and reminds the Ducks that it was “Hans who taught them to fly” and Charlie storms off, crying. I think Joshua Jackson, in the Ducks films, as well as in Dawson’s Creek, is phenomenally good at portraying teenagers who wouldn’t normally be seen as leading men. Who let their emotions overtake them, who have anger issues, who deal with familial problems. Characters like that in leading roles were almost unheard of in the 90s, and in the upcoming scenes, it reminds us why this side of Charlie that we’ve seen throughout the movie is not the only side of Charlie.
Bombay takes Charlie to the rink to see Orion skating with his disabled daughter, who was injured in a car accident. He reveals to Charlie that Orion quit the NHL to take care of her, and this immediately changes Charlie’s opinion of him, but he’s still unconvinced about rejoining the team. The next scene is without question, the greatest and most important scene of the trilogy. The last two films spent way too much time telling us how great of a person Bombay was, how he was the Minnesota Miracle Man,despite us seeing so little of that onscreen. We see him making mistake after mistake, hurting the team, being an unjustified dick to those around him. But this scene more than makes up for all of that. I’ve put the quote from this scene below.
Bombay: I was like you, Charlie. When I played hockey, I was a total hot shot. I tried to take control of every game. I wound up quitting. So I tried the law. I ruled the courtroom, but inside, I’m a mess. Start drinking. Man, I was going down. But then this great thing happened, maybe the best thing ever - I got arrested and sentenced to community service. And there you were - Charlie and the Ducks. And as hard as I fought it, there you were. You gave me a life, Charlie, and I want to say thank you. I told Orion about all of this when I talked to him about taking over. I told him that you were the heart of the team and that you would learn something from each other. I told him that you were the real Minnesota Miracle Man.
Charlie: You did?
Bombay: I did. So be that man, Charlie. Be that man.
It’s a callback to D2, when Jan tells Bombay “Be that man, Gordon. Be that man.” This scene is flawless. Every good thing that has happened to the Ducks, came because of Charlie’s heart. It came because of that game when Charlie refused to cheat, and made Bombay see his wrongs. It came because of when Bombay first tried to quit the team, and seeing how hurt Charlie was, agreed to stay. It was Charlie who stepped out of the game against Iceland so that Banks could play. It was Charlie who found them Russ. Giving the credit to a young, emotionally unstable teenager, rather than their Emilio Estevez, hotshot Bombay, is the best thing this series ever did.
This movie, in my opinion, is nearly flawless. Every moment has been planned to make the same point - change sucks. Especially when you’re a teenager. Even more so when you’re a teenager with trauma.

Punisher Pt. 10
Tenth part of Punisher. We’re halfway people. This is a Chicago PD/Fire imagine with an original character. I don’t own any of the plot points or characters from the show. Also, it doesn’t follow any particular season or sequence in the shows.
Series Summary: Josephine (Jo) never expected to find support and pure love when she left Los Angeles. She ran away to Chicago and was content with living an insignificant, hidden life. But everything changes when she walks into Molly’s to get a job.
Josephine (OC) x Jay Halstead
The italicized lines are internal thoughts of the character.
Warnings: mentions of alcohol, teeth rotting fluff
I followed Voight’s advice to the letter, changed up my routines every day and had Hermann adjust my schedule at Molly’s. I wasn’t making the money on tips I used to with my closing shifts, but it’s necessary. I knew I made the right decision going to Voight as soon as I saw Jay. He knocked on my door the next night with a home cooked meal, he sat with me for a few hours giving me updates on all the things I missed. He came over every day after until I felt “well” enough to go back to work. It’s funny to think you can miss a place, but when I arrived back at Molly’s I was met with a warm welcome by everyone, instantly filling a longing I didn’t know was there.
“Hey Jo, can you sign for the kegs out front? Make sure they know where to go,” Stella asks before disappearing into the back. I make my way out the front entrance of the bar and sign for the kegs of beer. The two large men start wheeling the beer to the back entrance, I pray that they move quicker. The wind is making goosebumps rise on my exposed skin, making me seriously regret not bringing a coat. My leg shakes as the men are wheeling back the last of the order.
“Jo?” I turn and see Jay walking up.
“Hi,” I can’t contain my smile.
“What’re you doing out here, it’s freezing,” Jay takes off his coat and wraps it around my body. The warmth is immediate and the woodsy smell of his cologne dances across my nostrils.
“You’re gonna get cold,” I try to protest, but Jay stops me from taking the jacket off and continues to rub my arms.
“I wasn’t the one that was just sick for two weeks.” Oh right.
“Excuse me, can I get one more signature?” One of the workers asks. I grab the clipboard and sign my name, allowing them to leave to their next delivery.
“I never got to thank you for bringing me dinner,” I say when I turn to face Jay.
“You don’t need to, I think eating my cooking was hard enough,” he jokes.
“It was good!”
“Oh yeah? You really liked that rice?” I laugh.
“Yeah how does someone mess up rice?”
“I don’t know!” I hug Jay, resting my head on his firm chest. His head rests on top of mine. I close my eyes and focus on his heartbeat. I slowly pull away and look up to Jay. His large hands move to rest on either side of my face, he strokes my cheekbones with his thumbs. Jay moves down towards my face slowly fluttering his eyes closed, I gradually met him halfway, closing my eyes at the last second. His lips firmly press into mine before our lips start to move more frantically. I grip his shirt desperately trying to extinguish any space between us. Jay’s soft lips are a sharp contrast to the stubble on his cheeks. I feel like my lungs are going to explode from lack of oxygen, but I lean in as soon as Jay pulls away, not wanting this moment to end just yet. We both reluctantly pull away, Jay rests his forehead on mine. I slowly release Jay’s shirt from my grasp, trying to control my breathing.
“I should get back inside,” as much as I want to stay in Jay’s arms, I know Stella would come looking sooner rather than later and for right now I want to keep this between Jay and me.
“Yeah Will should be here any minute,” Jay pulls away a little more, looking in the eyes. His piercing blue eyes could melt anyone’s heart. I slip out of Jay’s jacket and hand it back to him before taking a few steps towards the entrance.
“I’m closing tonight,” I blurt out. “Any chance you’ll lend a hand?” A bright smile spreads across Jay’s face.
“I can do that,” I match Jay’s smile, and then quickly make my way back into Molly’s. I pick up a few empties on my way to the bar.
“Everything go okay?” Stella asks while popping the caps off two beers.
“Yeah, easy,” I say, avoiding eye contact. Luckily, Stella’s too busy to catch my blushing cheeks.
I busy myself by filling a couple of orders and opening new tabs. Jay and Will enter the bar, most of the Intelligence Unit is at the bar and they grab seats on the stools next to them.
“Hi Jojo,” Will snickers.
“Hi Willy Billy,” Will’s smile falls and he looks at Jay. “Yeah two can play that game.”
“How could you? Your own brother?” Will gasps. Jay shrugs and smiles at me. I grab the brothers some beers and slide them across the bartop. I didn’t notice Will analyzing Jay and me, all I could think about is the kiss we shared outside. It was needy and passionate, all the pent up tensions finally released.
“You two kissed!” Will announces. Jay and I snap out of it because of Will’s outburst.
“What?” Jay asks.
“You two finally kissed, or was it something more?” Will looks deep into his brother’s eyes. I look around the bar and see everyone staring, my heartbeat fills my ears, almost giving me a headache.
“Will,” Jay warns.
“You’re giving me nothing,” Will turns his attention to me, his gaze is probing. “It was just a kiss, but…. But you want it to be more.”
“Will,” Jay warns again, everyone else on the other hand finds this exchange incredibly hilarious.
“Alright, who owes who?” Will asks. Both Jay’s and my eyebrows furrowed in confusion. I watch stunned as people start exchanging cash, they mumble as they try to figure out who gets the payout.
“Did you know about this?” I ask Jay.
“No,” he runs his hand over his face, already exhausted by the night.
“This is insane,” I whisper. Stella walks up to the group and realizes what’s going on.
“Oh thank you! What’s my share?” She turns to Kevin and he puts some bills in her hand.
“You too?”
“Yeah, and I think this shows how good of a friend I am because I was right.”
“I quit.”
“Haha yeah good luck with that,” Stella chuckles before heading into the office.
Finally the last of the customers exit Molly’s leaving Jay and I in the bar. It was a night full of teasing and betrayal, the more of our friends that showed up at the bar the more the bet was brought up. Even Matt was in on it, he was mad we couldn’t wait another week otherwise he would’ve had the pot to himself.
Jay is putting empty chairs on top of the tables as I finish wiping down the bar top. I move to start cleaning the booths against the wall. When I stand back up, Jay’s behind me rubbing my shoulders.
“Are you feeling okay?” I lean back into his warmth.
“Yeah, I feel really good,” I look back up at him.
“I’m sorry about Will,” I laugh.
“That was unexpected for sure, but in the end it made telling everyone easier,” I try to lighten the situation so Jay doesn’t punch out his brother the next time he sees him.
“Still, it wasn’t his to tell,” he kisses my temple before grabbing the rag and cleaning the next booth. I follow him and grab the rag out of his hand to make him look at me.
“I can think of a few ways that you can make it up to me,” I flirt. Jay grabs my waist and pulls me in between him and the table.
“Yeah, I’m happy to oblige,” he leans down and kisses my lips. This time it’s slow and gentle. “Are you free Friday night?”
“I am, what do you have in mind?” I rest my hands on his chest.
“I’m going to take you out, make it a proper first date,” my hands move to rest on his biceps.
“First?”
“Yeah.”
“Some would say we’ve already had a first date.”
“When?”
“When you came over to my place.”
“What, no, that wasn’t a date,” he says trying to think through the nights.
“Well there was food, and just the two of us talking,” I try to reason. “Well actually we’ve been on multiple dates already.”
“No, it’s not a date unless I ask you, therefore those were not dates,” I smile. A glimmer of light catches my eye near Jay’s neck. A gold chain peaks out from his neckline. I slowly pull the chain out and run my thumb over the medallion. The details are so intricate, the name Saint Christopher is engraved into the metal. “It’s the saint of protection.”
“It’s incredible.”
“My mom gave it to me before I left for the war, she wore it everyday before that,” I tuck the necklace back into his shirt.
“That’s a beautiful memory.”
“Yeah.”
“It’s ok to miss her,” he nods.
“I know,” he replies sweetly. “C’mon let’s get moving,” he pulls me away from the table and smacks my butt.
“How sinful!” I joke.
“I’ll show you sinful,” he says and begins to chase me around the empty bar. He finally grabs my waist, pulling me back to him. Jay kisses my face relentlessly causing me to scream out in laughter.

word count: 2.3k
warnings: none
Part 8
41 weeks
“Matty. Wake up.” You whisper, shaking his shoulder in attempt to wake him. He doesn’t budge so you pull the blankets off him in hopes that it might work but again, he doesn’t move. It’s quite disappointing considering you’re now five days past your due date and if you were in labor, he won’t wake. Luckily, Chantal is sleeping just down the hall. After many conversations, you and Matthew agreed that it was probably a good idea to have her stay with the two of you in case you were to go in labor while Matt was playing a game. Yes, you had friends around but it comforted you much more having Chantal here because she’s went through this before.
With one last look at Matt, you roll out of bed and waddle like a duck, because that’s what you looked like according to Matt and Brady, to the kitchen. You were trying to wake Matt up because you felt like a snack but you didn’t feel like getting out of bed.
You’re digging through the freezer for some ice-cream you’re sure Brady had bought when he last visited when you feel the first cramp. It’s a little uncomfortable but you’ve been having some braxton hicks contractions on and off over the past few weeks, some feeling real enough that you went to the hospital only to be sent home which was very embarrassing even though Chantal told you it happens all the time. It wasn’t exactly the fact that you got sent home that you felt embarrassed about, but that Matthew left practice because he thought you were in labor. You just thanked your lucky stars that it wasn’t while he was in the middle of a game because it would’ve been ten times worse.
So you brush it off, cheering silently when you find the tub of chocolate ice-cream, idly wondering if it’s weird to eat it in bed at three o’clock in the morning. You decide it’s not, walking back to the bedroom and crawling in bed. You sit up against the headboard and grab the PS4 controller so you can put Netflix on since you know you won’t be falling asleep any time soon.
Matt rolls over and throws and arm over your legs and nuzzling his face in your side halfway through an episode of Grey’s Anatomy. It’s gives your belly a weird feeling again, not pain this time but something else. Something a little unsettling because you haven’t felt this particular feeling in quite some time.
You’re pretty sure you’re in love with Matt which makes you equally frightened as it does happy. You’ve realized that your hatred for him stemmed from that one night when he did something to make you angry when your breakup with your ex was so fresh and you were emotionally vulnerable.
Just like Johnny had told Matt good things about you, he’s mentioned things about Matt to you, obviously in hopes that the two of you would hit it off. It gave you a little hope that despite what you had heard from some of the girls, he wasn’t that bad of a guy which you know is true now.
Your only problem now is that you have no idea how strong his feelings are for you. Part of you is afraid that what he does feel is only from seeing you carrying his child. You know what he told you at the baby shower, that he liked you since you met but you still can’t shake the feeling that maybe what he feels for you might just be temporary.
That one day he’s going to wake up and decide that he doesn’t want you the way he does now and it breaks your heart thinking about it.
“You’re crying.” Matt mumbles and you look down to see him now wide awake. “What’s wrong?”
You didn’t realize that you were crying and you can’t wait for the day when everything doesn’t make you cry like a baby.
“I’m fine.” You say, swiping the tears away. “It’s the show.” This is a lie because you haven’t been paying attention to the show for about five minutes.
He looks at the TV and then looks back at you with an eyebrow raised. “It’s a sex scene. Something you been wanting to tell me?”
He has a tiny smirk on his face and it’s temping, it really is, but you shake your head and try to come up with some other excuse.
“My ice-cream melted.”
“Do you want more?” He frowns, sitting up and it drives you insane sometimes, how willing he is to do anything for you at any given time.
“No, I just -” you sigh, putting the tub on the night table. “I’m tired.”
You know it’s a lie and so does he but he doesn’t push like he normally would. You let him tug you down so you’re laying on your side and he’s wrapped around you, hand resting on your belly and face tucked in your neck.
“What about Jasper?” He whispers and you smile.
“I like it.” You tell him and he nods.
“We’ll put it on the list.”
. . .
It’s later that evening and you’ve been having what you’re telling yourself are braxton hicks contractions all day. You refuse to go back to the hospital already because you know you’ll just get sent home again. Besides, Matty has a game tonight and you’re determined to go because it’s the last game of the season. The Flames won’t make the playoff’s this year and you know Matt is upset about it but he said that what’s more important is that he’ll be here for when and after the baby is born.
His words made you fall in love with him a little more.
You and Chantal arrived at the arena early enough that you can go down to see Matt while she finds your seats. You text him when you’re outside the locker doors and he looks happy when he walks out to see you. You can see the hint of disappointment that tonight is the last game until next season but he smiles at you anyway.
“How’s Jasper?” He asks, resting a hand on your stomach.
“I don’t remember agreeing to that name.” You tease and he shrugs.
“Jasper Tkachuk. Has a nice ring to it.” He says, giving you a soft smile. He looks like he wants to say something else but somebody yells his name and you know he has to go.
He smiles apologetically. “I’ll come find you after the game.”
You nod, letting him kiss you before heading back to the locker room. You find your way to Chantal in the stands, trying to ignore the way the braxton hicks contractions won’t go away. There’s a small part of you that knows you shouldn’t be brushing them off but now really isn’t the time for you to go into labor.
You can’t hide the winces from Chantal though because halfway through the first period, she frowns.
“How long have you been having them?”
You wince when another one washes through you. It’s much closer to the last one.
“Since this morning?”
“Y/N.” She scolds gently but firmly.
“It’s his last game! I don’t want to miss it.”
“Honey, you’re in labor.”
When those words leave Chantal’s mouth, it feels like somebody smacked you because it’s suddenly so real.
“C’mon. Let’s get to the hospital.” She says, helping you out of your seat.
“Matt-”
“We’ll get a message to him.” she assures you. “he won’t miss it.”
. . .
As you watch the game from your hospital bed, Chantal paces around the room on her phone trying to talk to someone who can get a message to Matt.
Your water broke shortly after you and Chantal arrived at the hospital and you know how quickly things can progress so you’re terrified that he won’t make it in time. You know that it’s something that the two of you had talked about early on, in the case that he was on a road trip and wouldn’t be here but knowing that he is here but you can’t get a hold of him, is hard.
“I know it’s an unusual situation.” Chantal snaps. “Figure it out.”
When she ends the call, she sighs and presses a hand to her forehead. You know how stressed she is about the situation but when she turns to you, there’s a gentle smile on her face.
“He’ll be here.”
You admire her attempt at trying to reassure you but you know that you need to get yourself in a good mindset to be okay if he’s not here.
“Did you call Becca?” You ask, hoping for at least some good news.
“Yes, she’s on her way.”
A little bit of good news. Finally.
You start to ask if she’s called anyone else but a nurse comes in the room to check you. When she tells you it shouldn’t be much longer, your heart sinks, realizing that Matt’s probably not going to make it here in time.
“I just got word that Matthew Tkachuk will be out for the rest of the game.” you hear Elliotte Friedman say and your head snaps up. You forgot that the TV was still on and it’s now intermission. “I didn’t see him get injured during the game, Chris. Did you?”
“No, and he didn’t take any major penalties. Maybe we missed something.”
Your heart leaps when you realize that he’s probably left the game because someone got the message through to him and you’re proven right when your phone buzzes and his name appears on the screen.
“Matty.”
“Hey, baby.” he says in a rushed voice. “I’m on my way to the hospital, okay?”
“Yeah?” You sniffle, knowing you’re going to cry.
“Yeah.” He promises. “Fifteen minutes, okay?”
He stays on the phone with you until he reaches the hospital and even until he reaches your room.
He takes Chantal’s place on the chair next to your bed as soon as he walks in.
“Ready?” He asks, taking one of your hands in his and pressing his lips to it.
“Not really.” You joke, trying to lighten the mood because you’re scared out of your mind. Your entire life is about to change but when you look at Matt sitting next to you, eyes kind and warm and with the smile on his face, you know you can do just about anything with him by your side.
. . .
“I guess we need to pick a name now, huh?” Matt whispers, cradling the baby in his arms. He was natural from the moment he held him and it was like your heart exploded. If you thought you loved Matt before, you know that you love him now.
“What about Henry?” You ask, watching him walk around, bouncing the baby gently.
His mouth turns up in a tiny smile. “I love it.” Then he looks up at you and tilts his head a little as if he’s coming to a realization.
“What?”
He shrugs, looking back down at Henry before walking over and sitting on the bed next to you. He lets you take the baby out of his arms so you can nurse him.
“I just realized something.”
“And what’s that?” You ask, raising an eyebrow when he smiles.
“I love you.” He says easily and when your eyes start watering, he just laughs gently. “I love you so much it’s crazy.”
“Really?” You ask and he nods.
“Really.” He grins and you can’t help but laugh when he pulls his phone out of his pocket and waves it in the air.
“Now, shall we make this Instagram official?” He asks and you roll your eyes fondly.
“You’re such a dork.”
“But you love me.” He says and you smile, pulling him close enough so that you can kiss him.
“I really do.”

Dead?-Spencer Reid Imagine Part Two
GIFS ARE NOT MINE!
Spencer Reid X Mikaelson!Hybrid!Reader
Criminal Minds X The Originals
(Summary: After believing your brother has been framed you and your sibling try to get to the bottom of it.)
Word Count: 2K
Warnings: This won’t make sense if you don’t read part 1. Probably one or two curse words.
pt. 1 pt. 2 pt. 3
REQUESTS ARE OPEN!! It can either be crossover (scroll to my first post to see who I write for!!) or just a normal imagine! Also thanks for a lot of likes on my first post in the ‘Dead’ mini series I genuinely appreciate it :))
Rebekah and I enter Rousseau's and grab a seat at the bar. “Nice you see you back here. I was starting to think the Mikaelsons went extinct.” Camille says, passing Rebekah and I a drink. “Don’t worry it’s not poisoned.” She says laughing and walks away to attend other people. “Why do you believe our brother was framed Y/N?” Rebekah aasest taking a sip of her drink. “Well for starters my team and I came here to investigate murders of people being drained and suddenly waking up and leaving. When we got there the detective was immediately drawn to accuse our family and made Spencer and I call Matt Donovan. So I gave Klaus a warning after but the detective told me not to. But that’s not the crazy part Bekah! She made my brain almost explode! She’s a witch. She knows, well thinks the Mikaelsons are apart of it.” I say quickly gulping down my drink as it slightly burns my throat. “What was the witches name?” Rebekah asks fully, gulping her drink and stands up. “Greenwood.” I say standing up with her. “I believe you but we need to figure this out before your team decides to tear down a village to understand our family.” She says as we exit Rousseau's. We speed over to the family house and enter. This place hasn’t changed. “Klaus!” I exclaim as I set my jacket down. “Great another sibling who will forcibly give me an interrogation.” Klaus says emerging from the study. “Let’s get this quick so you can go to your mundane life with your human boyfriend who seemingly doesn’t know about your family secret nor of your siblings.” He continues grabbing a stool and sitting on it. “I’m not here to argue Niklaus seeing that has definitely worked in the past. I’m here to help you. I think you’re being framed by a witch-” I start. “Great more witches.” Klaus says clapping his hands. “Let me guess they’re the one leaving bodies on our bloody doorstep.” He says standing up. “Her name is Mallory Greenwood and I think she has help.” I finished. Elijah comes into the room glancing at Rebekah and I before walking up to us. “I heard the conversation, sorry to intrude, but what has this witch done that you believe our brother is innocent.” He says before standing next to Klaus. “She didn’t want me to warn you. Also my team believes I’m a Mikaelson, although I am, I told them I was a Gerard. I left my things at the station but I can’t go back there Elijah. We have to do this the only way we know how.” I say to him softly, nearly tearing up. “And what way is that?” Klaus questions. “By fighting fire with fire.” I say grabbing my jacket and exit with my family on my tail.
“Where are we headed?” Rebekah says speeding to my side. “The station I can show you the witch girl. Then we go back home and act like normal, human normal. If they decide to arrest all of us we need to stick together.” I say turning to face them. Elijah and Klaus look amused at the plan. We all speed to the station. Elijah and Rebekah instantly head to open the doors. “Wait!” I say, grabbing them and place Klaus’ hand on my shoulder. “Invisique.” I say turning us all invisible. We step inside carefully to not draw attention to the opening door. I spot Detective Greenwood talking to Spencer. I feel my blood boil a bit but brush it off he wouldn’t intentionally hurt me. “Who’s that?” I hear Rebekah whisper to me. “My boyfriend and the witch. Actually let’s all step out and I’ll go in alone.” I whisper back guiding the circle of invisible people outside of the station. I let go and we all appear slowly. “Okay I’ll go in and do what.” I say facing Rebekah and Klaus as Elijah wanders around. “I would say compel the little witch to give us our answers.” Klaus says clasping his hands together. “I can’t compel her in front of them are you insane!” I exclaim looking at Klaus like he's grown five heads. “I would’ve done it but I think they already have wanted posters printed out for all of us.” He says pointing to all of us. “I’ll just go in and talk to my team and if I get stopped by the detective I’ll compel her.” I say straightening out my jacket. They all nod and I start heading inside towards the team. “Welcome back. Cleared your head.” I hear Derek say laughing. I laugh slightly and grab my gun and badge, putting them in their respective places. Hotch and JJ look at me confused, Spencer and Emily just sigh in relief that I’m back. “Hello the Mikaelson family is outside.” A deputy says rushing into the room. “What!” I blurt out. The deputy smirks delighted. I roll my eyes and head out not worrying about my team. “I know you can hear me.” I hear the deputy say. I stop just outside the door as it shuts behind me. “Warn them your team dies.” He continues. “I will shove a wooden stake so far up your ass that the person that turned you would feel it.” I say clenching my jaw. “I have a proposition, an eye for an eye, I will give you Mallory for your stupid family.” He says. “What about my team?” I ask. “They look mighty delicious, especially the skinny one, what’s his name Dr. Reid.” He pauses for a moment. “Fine I’ll give you your team and Mallory for your family.” He says. I turn back and open the door. I glance towards the deputy smirking. I run over to him and grab him by the neck pinning him to the wall. “Threaten my family and team I’ll have your head strung up like a trophy at Mikaelson Manor to remember the idiot that tried to strike a deal with me.” I spat into his face my words stunning him. Hotch and Morgan pull me back as the deputy falls clutching his neck coughing. “Et dormient donec redire.” I whisper looking at the deputy. He falls snoring softly. I shrug a Morgan and Hotch off of me and run out of the station. I run out seeing my sibling dead on the floor, obviously a neck snap. I wait for a moment as they come back to life. “Who did this?” I ask them. “A tall guy that was canoodling with the witch. Melinda?” Rebekah says standing up. I automatically know who she's talking about. “Mallory? But we don’t have to worry about him he’s asleep until I get back to the station. We just have to figure out what she wants with our family.” I say as Elijah and Klaus get up. They both look at me confused. “Let’s just go home and figure this out. Get Marcel and Davina, potentially Kol and Freya so we can stop all this mess.” I say speeding off to the manor.
_____________________________
We enter the manor dropping our things on the couch and head towards the kitchen. The front door opens and familiar voices drown into the kitchen. “Explain to us in detail of what is going on.” Davina says immediately. “Hey Dav nice to see you too.” I say laughing. “But in all seriousness I think Klaus is being framed by a detective and a deputy. One is a witch and the other is a vampire, I think.” I say. “So this whole thing can end one or two ways. She kills all of us or we kill them.” Marcel says entering the conversation. “We can’t die but they can. So I vote we kill them.” Rebekah says hopping off her stool raising her hand. Klaus seems to agree but I immediately shoot down her idea. “No Rebekah because we can probably get arrested.” I say lying slightly. I don’t care for the fact that we get arrested but for the fact that my team has no idea this world or lifestyle exists. “It’s something else spill.” Rebekah says walking up to me. “None of my team knows about all of us being vampires, hybrids, and witches. I can’t just freely compel them, it feels wrong. They’re like my second family. They’re human and I like that they aren’t involved in our crazy messed up life. Of course one day I would’ve had to tell them but I didn’t expect that moment to come so soon.” I admit to her sighing as a heavy weight gets lifted off my shoulder. They all look at me sympathetically. “Tell them once this mess is all over. Then if all goes well we can all have dinner.” Rebekah says hugging me for a moment. We all stare at each other for a moment before a series of knocks abrupting the silence. “Mikaelson family! FBI!” I hear Derek say. “Let’s all get arrested I guess.” I start before hearing knocks again. “We can compel for freedom; all things are off the table. I will tell them about it later.” I finished as the door burst open. Spencer looks at me with pure confusion on his face as he comes over to arrest me. “I know my rights Spence just get this over with.” I say as he cuffs me. “Why?” He says his voice cracking slightly. “There’s a certain side of me I’ll explain after this is done.” I say as a tear slips out. He sighs softly guiding me outside into a police car. He jumps into the passenger's seat. I look out the window catching eyes with Davina. ‘Now’s the time Dav make us all invisible.’ I say telepathically. She nods. ‘On the count of three’ I say. ‘One’ I say looking around. “Y/N tell me what’s going on?” Spencer says. “Spencer I love you just know that.” I say breaking my gaze from Davina looking at him in the eyes. “What I’m about to do will make no sense, don't even try figuring it out.” I say tearing up. “You probably won’t see me for a while depending on how this goes.” I say as a tear slips out. He wipes the tear. “What do you mean?” He questions his voice laced with concern. “I love you Spencer Reid.” I say. I shift my elbow rolling down the window. I look over to Davina who’s getting loaded into a cruiser. She makes eye contact as I nod towards her. “omnes supernaturali creatura invisibilis verto.” We say aloud making every supernatural creature around us turn invisible. Spencer looks stunned looking around to see if anyone noticed what he saw. All the police officers and my team members look around stunned. No one says anything. I break the handcuffs and step out of the car noticing all the car doors are open. Thankfully they all got the memo. “Hotch what the hell was that?” Derek says aloud. “I have no idea.” Hotch answers confused. “Reid are you okay?” Derek says jogging to Spencer. “They said they loved me. I didn’t say it back. Now I have no clue if I’ll ever see them again.” Spencer says sadly running his hand through his hair. Trust me we will. I sped over to the police station hoping that’s where my family went. “Are you all here?” I whisper knowing if they’re near they can hear me. “I am.” I hear Marcel say. “Here.” I hear Elijah, Kol and Klaus say in unison. “Present!” I hear Davina and Rebekah say. “Where’s Freya?” I question. I wave my hand in the air making us all visible. All of them appear except Freya. “Are you guys the Mikaelson family?” An officer says coming up to us. We all nod staring at each other. “Here.” He says handing me an envelope. I open the envelope pulling out a card. I turn to my siblings opening it. ‘Meet us at The Abattoir 8PM.” I drop the card on the floor looking at all of my siblings. This is a full fledged war. Let the games begin.

I DON'T KNOW WHY I JUST THOUGHT OF THIS BUT THIS IS LITERAL PERFECTION
a percy jackson fusion with aftg
okay, so neil would be percy because he's sassy, the main characters, and his home life sucked but his mom loved him (which is debatable but let's pretend otherwise) and also because i'm making nathaniel his non-biological father (nathan would be smelly gabe serves the bitch right) he would look more like poseidon
andrew would be annabeth, because he obvs needs to end up with neil/percy, AND andrew is a name commonly used when people genderbend annabeth. ALSO, we get that terrible comment about how the first time andrew gets r*ped is when he is seven, which if i remember correctly is when annabeth ran away from hom. BUT LET'S NOT FORGET- andrew is an obvious fan of knives and annabeth is notorious for her dagger so THERE. (aaron ig would be malcom, so not really in the story, sorry malcom. and subsequently katelyn, love her).
kevin would be grover, and juniper would subsequently be thea, because i feel like he'd just fit the role? and if they were all slightly less insane, he would be a great best friend to andrew and neil (and same viceversa because i completely disagree with how he was treated in canon >:()
seth would be clarisse, so no, he doesn't die. and i love clarisse so back off no hate. i would've made him nico because other than riko (who got what he deserved in my opinion) he is the only one neil has any real conflict with, not counting the deadly ones like his dad (who will play smelly gabe and won't be biologically related to neil) and ichirou(?) (who has disappeared like ~poof~) but then i realized nico is my gay baby that ends up with his significant annoyance and i wouldn't change that for the world so clarisse it is :')
NOW FOR THE SEVEN
okay renee would be hazel because just like renee she is a badass angel. and she is a sweetie so yeah :)
so originally i wanted to make allison be piper, but then i realized that doesn't fit, and upon further inspection, she only really fits with silena, when you think about it, so for that very reason, she is just gonna frank, cause renison are my fucking babies
leo would be nicky. now this doesn't even really need explaining, but ima explain anyway. nicky is gay and very /very/ proud so the whole hazel/leo/frank love triangle thing wouldn't happen. nicky is playful but caring, he doesn't know how to deal with his cousins in canon, but he just can't do the human interaction. not as flirty with girls, and if he is its for fun.
now obviously jason would be matt, because even if matt isn't blonde, white, or blue eyed, he is neils bro in canon, and will be his bro in any world. he is also the parent to the foxes, so he is the parent to the seven as well. and jason was the dad also, which leads to my next thing-
dan as piper. she is definitely beautiful enough, she doesn't care mich about her appearance, she is the mom friend through and through, and she would end up with matt (let's pretend literally NONE of apollo trials happened, no matter how much i love meg. she shall come to chb and be besties with apollo like a nOrMaL hALf bLoOd)
and obviously coach wymack as coach hedge (I MEAN COME ON!!!) and the cloud nymph as abby.
BONUS
i don't remember if annabeth ended getting a real mother figure, i remember she went back home to try to sort things out, and i remember she saw chiron as a father figure, but either way i am NOT leaving bee out, the little angel. she will still be bee and because my memory sucks she will just somehow BE THERE
I JUST THOUGHT OF A RACHEL
katelyn. she would work well enough, andrew certainly hated her enough in canon for it to work, and its my own personal headcanon that neil and katelyn became besties over their twinyards and then cheer and then other shit
SO THAT
riko would probably be luke? like, sure neil literally NEVER liked riko and i don't like the idea of him getting a redemption arc, but it works well enough ig.
jean as ethan
jeremy would probably have to be like-... DAMMIT... that one hecate kid, alabaster or sm.
the fact that i forgot will haunt me forever i seriously need to reread the books again
AND THIS IS ALMOST COMPLETELY IRRELEVANT BUT THEIR ROOF WOULD BE THE ROOF OF THE POSEIDON CABIN bOoM
i think thats about it, but if i forgot someone or you want me to add someone else or something else, comment it ig :)
#percy jackson#andreil#the foxes#aftg headcanon#kinda#i am unusually proud of this#this might have been done before#but whatever

I finally finished listening to Gallifrey for the first time today (and I've loved it so much, I wasn't expecting it to be quite this good but it was AMAZING), so here's some incoherent thoughts in no particular order:
Starting off on a happy note before I get going - Gallifrey is just? So good?? I'd heard a lot of good stuff about it long before I'd even started listening to Big Finish generally, but it really blew me away with how brilliant it is!
I really love how well-defined the characters and their relationships are, and how they all grow over the course of the series. The developments all felt really natural and in response to what each character went through, and very believable in general
I wasn't prepared for how much I was going to love the main four characters either (I only really knew Leela and Romana from watching Classic Who, knew nothing about Brax other than "the Doctor's brother" and "causes problems", and almost nothing at all about Narvin), but I have to say I'm really attached to them all now :)
Leela and her whole arc throughout the series is just amazing. I'd already liked what I'd seen of her in Classic Who (even if I do have... issues with the basic concept of her character and the stereotypes it's based off), but imo she gets taken to another level in Gallifrey altogether. I just love her whole story about grief and healing and learning to find a place for yourself in somewhere you don't seem to fit... and Louise Jameson's acting is fantastic
Romana's arc and growth is also wonderful. Like she comes so far!!! She goes from being unable to admit even that she has friends and just cares about people, to saying that she loves Leela and Narvin in Unity and it really gets me :')
I'd heard a bit about Narvin and his character development beforehand, but it really impressed me how well done it all was? I'm gonna admit that when I was listening to s1/2, I didn't like him much at all, but the growth and changes he goes through as a character are incredibly well written and I have a lot of love for him as a character now
Brax is great. I wasn't sure exactly what to expect from him, but he's actually so much fun as a character! (Even if some of his decisions are... interesting, let's just say) I like the unique dynamic he has with the other main characters, and think he also provides a v interesting contrast to them as someone who's a bit more morally grey? But yeah. He's very cool I like him a lot
Leela and Romana's relationship in particular is my absolute favourite in the series, and just. I love them. They both care about each other so much and AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
I have thought about "There will be a place for you with me. For always. Whatever face I wear." every single day since I first listened to Spirit in November someone help me
I think overall (although I've enjoyed all of them) series 2 is probably my favourite? It's just so incredibly chaotic and the plot and character work tie together so well
In terms of favourite episodes, there's a lot tbh, but Spirit, Imperiatrix, Renaissance, Lies, Soldier Obscura, Mindbomb and Disassembled are all up there (you can see my s2 bias shining through there oops)
Idk if this is a controversial opinion (I've only really lurked around the edges of the fandom so I'm not 100% sure what the general consensus is) but for the most part I generally enjoyed the Time War series?
Like, I think overall the earlier series appealed to me more, but I did still get a lot of enjoyment out of the time war stuff and thought there were some really good stories in there (Soldier Obscura, The Devil You Know and Unity in particular were absolutely brilliant)
I guess my one main issue with that part of the show is probably (and this is something I've seen a couple of other people bring up) that the characters were all so far apart for most of it? Like I understand that the writers were wanting to try something new and were wanting to avoid retreading the same beats as before, but imo the crux of the show's drama is the relationships between Leela, Romana, Narvin and Brax, and the fact that they weren't together for most of the episodes after TW1 meant the emotional resonance wasn't quite the same - the plots were still v good and I enjoyed that aspect, but I did miss them interacting more regularly yknow :/
I think this also ties into my problems with the finale (although apparently bf have confirmed they're making more? so idk if it's really the end), because the story itself was pretty good, but the lack of any real emotion in the few interactions we got between Leela, Romana and Narvin hindered it from having as much impact as it could have, and some of the writing for them in general just felt very off (esp. in regard to Romana). I'm also just. Not hugely convinced by Matt Fitton's ability to write finales from my own listening experience and I think that feeds into it too but yeah
A similar issue that frustrated me a bit tbh was how consistently Brax was left out of the series altogether for most of the time post-s4? I'm not an expert on his character (Gallifrey!Brax is the only one I'm familiar with), but I liked him a lot and having him as part of the main cast of characters was really fun, so it was a bit disappointing that he didn't make as many appearances, especially as I would've loved to see his relationships with the group develop as much as the ones between Leela, Romana and Narvin did
On a completely unrelated note, as someone who's hyperfixated on the War Doctor audios a Lot™, I loved spotting all the little references and nods to those in the TW series. It just made me really happy and the sense of continuity was cool
I got very excited every time they mentioned Ollistra ngl. She may be Awful but I love her
The parallels in Gallifrey are also so good?!?!?? There's so many that I just go completely insane over
The parallel between Romana's promise that Leela will always have a place with her in "Spirit" and Leela telling Romana she'll never be alone because Leela is coming with her in "Renaissance" particularly is just. Yeah. I think about it a lot ngl
Also love the K9s. The bickering between them in the early series is incredible and I wish they'd kept that going longer
Darkel is just the Worst. Honestly think she's one of the most effective villains I've ever come across bc I don't think I've felt that much unbridled rage at a fictional character before. It certainly made watching Trial of a Time Lord for the first time the other week an Interesting Experience
The fact that seemingly all the main four basically adopt Ace as their child is incredibly funny to me ngl
And going on from that, what I'd love to see (and what I know Big Finish will never make :/) is a series set between Enemy Lines and TW1 that's just the gang + Ace messing around and having fun yknow? I want to see them all being happy and making chaos at the CIA
I also find it really funny that at the start of the show, all the characters would go on about how the CIA are Suspicious and Not To Be Trusted, and how the whole organisation is kind of antagonistic at that point, but then by TW1 every single main protagonist is involved with the CIA in some capacity, like. Way to go guys
I hadn't actually listened to The Apocalypse Element, Neverland, and Zagreus when I originally started listening, and it didn't stop me enjoying anything at the time but I have to say certain stories (especially Extermination) make a lot more sense with that context; it should be interesting relistening to the earlier stuff now I have that context tbh
And. Yeah. I am already wanting to relisten again even though there's a lot of free stuff from the BF website on my account which I haven't touched yet oops
Anyway long story short, Gallifrey is genuinely brilliant and I'm so glad I've listened to it
#bethan talks about dw#bethan listens to big finish#idk if anyone is actually going to read this (and if you do i admire you bc it's. long)#but i've had a Lot of thoughts over the past 3 1/2 months of listening so i wanted to get some out haha#usually i'm kinda nervous about posting text here (maybe bc people will actually see it? idk)#but my need to scream about gallifrey has overcome it which is impressive ngl#and fingers crossed the read more works i don't want to clog up anyone's dashes :/
