A little concept sketch of my Gravity Falls self insert! And as you can see, she's a werewolf! 0u0

She's normally in her first form when she's out and about, and when it's getting close to the full moon she looks like her second form before going full wolf! During that time period she starts getting a powerful craving for raw meat and she gets really itchy as her fur starts coming in, then the ears and tail follow! (At first glance I'm sure most of the townsfolk would just think she was a furry 😂)

In general she's very cheery, and she exhibits a lot of dog-like behavior (getting excited when the doorbell rings, noticing and perking up when she sees squirrels, shaking her whole body when she gets wet) and she has a somewhat irrational fear of rabies so she's not a very good hunter and actually tends to AVOID wild animals in the forest and stray dogs/cats. When she moves to Gravity Falls she opens a curios and oddities shop with her partner in crime, which a certain conman sees as competition, leading him and the mystery twins to go check it out 👀❓️

#...right- LOL #I was so scared of losing anyone I pretty much only summoned Yurgir!#ok let me ramble about this fight in the tags #I.....listen. Listen. I love this game with my entire heart. It's one of my favorite games of all time.#.....the final battle took me out of it a little bit ngjfkdlnshjk #It introduced a bunch of new mechanics and maybe I'm dumb but it felt like it wasn't super clear how everything worked #First I restarted it because I dropped a globe of invuln on the starting area thinking Orpheus could just activate the stones from that far #Then I restarted it bc I basically ran out of time on the rounds...except I didn't realize the fight would continue since every other-#-turn-based round counter was usually a game over #THEN I actually summoned the flaming fist to help clean up right at the end which made the camera SUPER confused when I went in the portal #It was a mess.#I still give the game an 11/10 tho lmao #Oh also Orpheus did something - I don't know what - and then the dragon just died with 120hp left. So. #art #digital #grayscale #control #control remedy #control 2019 #hi *explodes*#<- hiss charged voice #ok but seriously im pretty stoked about these. not all of them are my absolute best work but a lot of them turned out really well and more #importantly i actually fucking finished all of them (only took about 2 months longer than i thought it would lmao)#ummm notes. all of these were done with the same single brush for everything you see and most were done on only 2 layers + one for the text #the first 3 were done first in order and the last one was done last i dont entirely remember the order of the rest #also i listened to the song exploder episode on the house of cards theme probably at least a dozen times while working on these #just felt like it set the mood well #anything else interesting i have to share about the process? dont think so... look out for some alternate color versions #in the next few days as i endeavor to figure out gradient maps i suppose #well thats it. very much hope this gets even half as much traction as last weeks memes due to the aforementioned 3 months spent working #but we'll see. we shall see.#yayyyyy posting art before bedtime <3

#turning novel #터닝 #kishiar la orr #yuder aile #when i tell you i read the manhwa in one go last night and then started reading the novel today bc commenters said it was good #and my god were they right #i'm 40+ chapters in so i've just passed where the manhwa is at rn and wow #first of all thank god there are high quality and easily accessible translations #second of all kuyu-nim has a way of making all the lines carry weight. the dialogue and body language cues especially #like i'm definitely not that far in but there are already a few lines i can point out that made my heart clench #and the tension between the two leads is so so palpable #kishiar is very enigmatic i'm very interested in finding out what he's really thinking and what his abilities are #and i really appreciate the way yuder's development is focused on him caring about others and relying on them #ok and third the fact that it's a slow burn romance but focuses heavily on the plot and politics and relationships is so good #based on the tags this could have been very tropey but they didn't go that route and i'm glad for it #in other news i'm upset about how yuder came out but i have to post him bc i will not separate them ;;;#thought kishiar would be harder to draw bc he's pretty:tm: and i struggle drawing pretty boys but yuder put me through the wringer fr #anyway!! i love them very much!! going a little insane over them as you can see!!

i think it's interesting how steph is like... the nerds see her as part of the popular group, and sure we see her talking to the cheerleaders a little, but other than that she doesn't really seem to be one of them in the truest sense? i could fully believe that she feels like the tiniest bit of an outcast there, like she's just cool enough for max to give her a pass but she doesn't really click with them that well. she feels to me like the bridge between the popular ones and the nerds, which is appropriate i suppose for her place in the story.
