This is death for me, Ren. If I have a choice between waiting for death and doing it now, by myself, I prefer to do it now. I am nothing without First Order, Ren. Nothing. It was all my life. This station, the ship, the rank. I am nothing without it. "Not to me" "Ren." "You are engineer." "I am. Do you think they will let me touch any data pad, droid or blueprint in the Republic? No Ren." Kylo lowered his head. Hux sighed. "On Arkanis people believe that commander should go down with his ship. I should have died. Twice. On Starkiller and on Finalizer. I'm already on borrowed time, Ren. " "Maybe it's not borrowed. Maybe it's given. Maybe you have something more to do here Armitage.” "You know I don't believe in this." "Armitage… " "Why!? Why you could choose this way out?! And I suddenly cannot? You left me! You left me alone and now you appeare and talk this force nonsenses!? Pffasking hypocrite.!" "Believe me if there was a different way for me, I would choose it. But there was not" Hux snorted. "Batna shit. Pffasking hero." "You are mad it's alright I… " "I am not mad Ren. I am disappointed. Betrayed and… And… And Heart broken. „He whispered looking at him " and to think that one your word would be enough. One word. I would leave all of that" he took of his hat and toss it off the cliff "All Ren. I would agree even to live on some lowly planet in Outer Rims. And you… You fled to Exegol alone. With… With this girl just to ruin my life…" "It… Hux, you know it's not like that I…" "Who are you even? Because I don't know any more." Kylo took a step back not looking at him. "Please." "You have no right to ask me for anything." He took a deep breath and closed his eyes. "You are not even real. Probably just hallucination from stims overdose. Leave me." "No. I won't. I promise you if you do that, I will make sure to find a way to haunt you." Hux snorted. "Hugs! Hux! Step back!" Poe was running from his x-wing as fast as he could "Hux!" Redhead glanced at him and then looked at Kylo. "You were always terrible when it comes to threats." "Hux no…" Hux took a step and fell. Poe grabbed his coat and pulled, but Hux let his arms slip from the sleeves. Poe cursed holding only black coat in his grip. He stared down in horror, breathing heavily.

Kylo stood by his side silently, watched Hux falling down, felt his fear, his pain. He looked down on kneeling pilot and sat down next to him. They sat together. Past and future love. Poe completely unaware of the presence of the other and the future he could have and Kylo painfully aware of everything.

Currently Harry Potter, but I have also written for A Ballad Of Songbirds and Snakes, and most of my fics are Star Wars Sequel Trilogy

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

In principle, though I have neglected that for a while now :/ I do love and appreciate every single comment I get and at one point I'll get back to replying to them. They've been so lovely, and I love going back just to read them

6. What is a fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

Pretty sure that would be test drive. It's about the grooming of a teenager, and it does not have a happy ending. Written from the POV of the groomer too, so the tone isn't all that angsty - he succeeded and got what he wanted, which I hope makes the entire thing all the more horrifying

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

That's hard to say. I write a lot of getting together fics, which I'd say all have a pretty happy ending

8. Do you get hate on fics?

None so far, fingers crossed

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

I do write smut. So far mostly with some light dom/sub stuff going on

I haven't so far. But I like to make them up in my mind. At some point I hope to write a wolfstar hunger games au

None that made it to Ao3. I've done a lot of cooperative writing on twit-fics, and a few on tumblr with @strugglequill (padfoot-soap anyone?)

14. What's your all-time favorite ship?

Wolfstar for sure - its the fic that got me reading on Ao3 in the first place

15. What's a wip you want to finish, but doubt you ever will?

I have a few, sadly. The spider and the carpenter is the first thing I ever put on Ao3 and that'll never be more than the first chapter;  Feel lucky has two chapters and I physically made up a dance routine for it, but it'll probably stay that while longer. And of course 31 days of huxloween. Thats my fic with the highest word count, and I only got through nearly half of the chapters I have planned. These are all star wars fics, and kind of the reason why I now want to have my fic finished in its entirety before I post. Which also means I get cranky bc I want to post things but won't let myself. It's not ideal

16. What are your writing strengths?

I get frequent compliments on my characterizations, so I'll go wiith that

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

I always struggle with scenes in which more than two people talk to each other. There is always one person just T-posing in the background. And I'm very insecure about the themes I introduce into my fics, and if I miss some that totally change the fic without my knowledge

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

I don't do it often, but tried doing so in current wips. I do like it when it's not in dialogue style for a longer conversation but instead just the gist of it explained. It can be fun though to get a little easter egg of knowledge the POV character isn't getting when you're able to translate the dialogue and they don't speak the language

Takeaway: I wrote far too much for the Huxloween event, but honestly I'm glad I did because it led me to really understanding the dynamic between the blorbos. Hope to write more independent work (seperate from an event like Huxloween, Make Kylux Suffer, and the KBB) in the future :))

My Year in Writing

according to AO3

2016 was the year I finally got my act together. I actually started writing stuff I wanted people to read and putting it out there in the world for people to read it! I had written fanfic and original stuff before but since I got a tumblr and an AO3 I was inspired to write and create! Kylux was most certainly my muse for most of the year and I really got myself involved in the Star Wars fanbase here on tumblr. 

In total I wrote 9 works this year: 7 for Star Wars (Kylux) , 1 for Yuri!!! on Ice (my latest obsession), and 1 for the new Ghostbusters movie after I saw it over the summer.

Published Word Count: 48,360

I don’t think that’s too bad considering I put my first bit of fic up in May. My goal for next year will be to get over 100,000 and I don’t think I’ll have trouble reaching that goal. I refer to my published word count here because I spent all of November on a Rey x Phasma fic that I have yet to finish (it’ll go into my 2017 word count when I’m finished with it and so far it’s the longest thing I’ve ever written :) ).

I try really hard not to live and die by kudos but I really love getting that email from AO3 when someone likes something I’ve written. I don’t think I did poorly in this area and I have nothing to compare it to so I’ll leave this number alone.

I could go into comments and hits but I’m not sure how to quantify a really successful fic yet. I’m just going to link some of my most popular fics and say something about each one:

Little Talks (Ghostbusters, 2016)- This was probably my most popular fic all year. I have several theories as to why this might be the case (kylux being far more active) but I think it has to do with the lack of femslash out there for people to read. I hope to write more in the new year (maybe not for this particular pairing, Holtzbert,) and my November NaNoWriMo fic is a step in the right direction (one I’ve really loved exploring).  

A New Composition (Yuri!!! on Ice, 2016)- I wrote this towards the end of the year and I refer to it as music porn (Disclaimer- no it is not actual porn). It’s the story of how Yuri’s free skate piece came to be. I wrote it because after listening to the piece over and over again when it came up on my spotify playlist, I had far too many feelings about the piece and needed to express them somehow. Some people seemed to like it so I’m guessing it doesn’t read as though I am vomiting musical critique all over the screen. I really liked writing this. 

Kylux

I’m making this a separate section 

Terrible People - Not only was this my first published fanfic but it was also my first attempt at long fic. I stopped writing it in the middle of the summer when I realized that I really should outline something that is beginning to approach 30k words. It’s not terrible, I’m not ashamed of it, and I won’t abandon it, but no I probably won’t continue this ever. It takes the title of longest fic I wrote in 2016 (although my Reysma piece for this year already knocks it out of the water). I suppose it’s a benchmark now of where I’ve come from in writing.

Galaxy Falls - This was my second fanfic ever. I wrote it mostly because I was trying a different style of writing in the intro and because I am hopelessly in love with a good aesthetic. Side by side in a pickup truck next to the person you love in the dark flanked by the towering pine trees of the Pacific Northwest? I am so down for that. This was a strange Gravity Falls/Star Wars au that I would still love to talk about. I threw in Ahsoka Tano at the end because she’s my girl.

 In October, I participated in Huxloween and wrote 4 one shots for the event (way more than I had anticipated on the outset).

More Than Spice - Spoiler Alert: I have never had a pumpkin spice latte in my life. However, I love pumpkin pie and all the smells and tastes of fall, even if I don’t drink coffee. This fic played with the idea of smells and tastes having memories attached. I just think this one is cute.

Fireside Chats - The prompt for this one was bonfire and I wrote about the TFA gang and Kylo and Hux being forced to spend the weekend together. I really liked writing the ghost stories that Finn and Poe tell. Finn’s was obviously inspired by the actual clowns that went around just before Halloween last year. I also really liked writing the snarky but hopelessly in love Kylux. They are so awful but adorable in a way that few other relationship dynamics can hope to achieve.

Black Cats and Witches - For this fic, the prompt was transformations. I’m not sure what inspired me for this one but it was fun to write. I was stuck in a very boring Statistics class at the time so if anyone is interested in seeing some of my doodles for this fic just ask. 

The Assistant - I’ve played around with a Frankenstein au in the past (so has @senators-and-scalpels ask them about it!) and for the prompt gothic horror I decided to try my hand at a different writing style. I really love the book Frankenstein by Mary Shelley and I’m still trying to get through Dracula by Bram Stoker, so this fic was a brief attempt at drawing on that Victorian prose. 

The last fic I wrote for 2016 was for the verymerrykylux secret santa gift exchange.

Let It Snow- I got the assignment over the summer and I had no idea what to do with it for a long time. I don’t think I ever posted the wishlist for this fic so I’ll do it here : “ i really love bees!! as in... i want to be a beekeeper. and eh.. next to that, i'm a huge jack white/st. vincent/beck/etc. fan.. so if you like those musicians, do something with it! and well eh next to that.. i really love the romanticizing of everyday-things like getting up in the morning and finding out your cat has left you a dead mouse on the carpet or something... i hope that does inspire you, and otherwise: make something you love to do”. I was not sure what to do with that until about December. I wrote about overworked business man Hux being dragged to a rowdy bar and flirted with by lead singer Kylo. I think it turned out rather nicely and you can be the judge of whether or not I actually fulfilled the wishlist.
