Life and More

been quite a long amount of time since i have written a blog post. currently i am light headed and weak because i have found out that dua lipa and callum turner are engaged. i am not certain i will survive the night. anywho! today is Boxing Day! i went skating with my dear friend f, and because my brother is not using his car, i drove to the rink and then we went to tims together. im back home. i hate it. i feel so empty and awful. my mom keeps crying but idc i just want her to see that being home makes me want to die. other than that, i have been doing really well these days. been taking care of myself.

went clubbing a week ago. it was great fun i think. felt awful the next day. i think im going clubbing the week i go back. my bus ride here was good. was forced to listen to asap rocky instead of future but the god hour is one of my fave songs so idc. love ketchup.

i love doctor who. kinda disliking eyebrowless doctor. idk i miss my dear 11th doctor. he was so funny. i LOVED him and martha. my fave scene from the show is the swedish beach.

born to die is my fave album in the world. i think its Lanas best work, it isnt the deepest or her best writing, but her vocals are beautiful and it is a very cohesive piece. Lust for life has my favourite songs on it tho, its just lacking the cohesiveness that born to die has.

Went to the slushynoobz lookalike contest. It was freezing cold and i wanted to cry. i thought i would have to cut my feet from how cold they were. i lost my marting photocard so i have nothing to remember that event by. i was there with my friend h, her sister, and her cousin. We went to a textile museum afterwards. and then to a free cookie decorating thing. we had dinner at east tea can. i liked the chicken. we got nanis gelato to finish off the night. it was santas cookies flavour.

on Monday me and my friends f and j went to the mall. I drove j from the bus stop. we got tims and snacks from dollarama. the we watched Kraven the Hunter (has said no one ever) at the cinema. it was a 5/10. not as bad as madame web, but very meh. I got my period. it hurt so badly. we 'snuck' into the theater for wicked afterwards, but only watched a few minutes cause j got scared and my stomach was hurting so much. we went to dollarama where i sat on the floor while they found me tylenol. I took 2. they really helped. we took photobooth pics and then i dropped j off and went home.

On Tuesday, me and my friends h and a went to the mall. it was so much fun and i got my gift for white elephant (happening tomorrow) im so excited. i went kinda over budget but i really dont mind. i could get a reeses cup and i would be ok with that. i then drove us to our friend ds work place. she was closing tho so we went to dollarama and got kinder eggs. i drove h home and then a. i packed up my white elephant gift. so excited!! at night me, a, and f watched crime scene kitchen season 2 finale. the final 3 had us shocked and confused.

after skating today, i went to the Chinese market with my mom and grandma for fish. they didnt have pickerel so we got smth else. the dude there was just hitting the fish while they were still living. dont know how humane it is but at least the fish are fresh. it was in jane and finch so i was kinda scared my car was gonna get stolen. honestly i love jane and finch, ik its one of the worst parts of toronto but i spent so much of my childhood there. then we went to shoppers. SO many things were on clearout i got some skincare and an eyeshadow palette. my mom got a bunch of chocolate for family back home ofc.

incredibly excited for tomorrow. i have been doing a crazy amount of driving these days. i have spent probably an hour on the highway this week. love it tho.

born and raised in philadelphia, pennsylvania

mike grew up being an only child, and always around the company of his mother in their house. his father was always traveling back and forth from south korea to the states for work. his parents have met at work on one of his father’s trips to the states, and they fell in love. his mother being american-born, she couldn’t really leave philadelphia. she loved it there. so they decided to keep it a long distance relationship.

sometime during those fleeting meetings, she had gotten pregnant with michael. and of course, his father spoiled them both, giving them everything they wanted. he never left them to fend for themselves. when the boy was born, his father named him myungjun, and his mother decided to name him michael for his english name. the nicknames jun, mike, and sometimes junnie were often heard whenever his parents or childhood friends called him.

up until mike was five years old in 2004, he’s lived with his mother, while his father was leaving and coming back for a week or two. but that year, he’s finally moved to the states and stayed with them for longer nights. he even finally married michael’s mother. of course, he still disappeared for a few days or weeks on end for work.

but that was also the year michael’s mother found out that her husband was with another woman. michael has never seen his mother break down like that before. sadly, the young boy was peering into the room when the fight happened and witnessed everything. his mother made her partner choose between the two women, and he eventually told her that he was going to divorce his first wife for her, and appeared to have gone through with his promise. because after that incident, he’s been around more often.

by early 2015, when michael had just turned 16, his mother had gotten a teaching job in ashdown academy, which resulted in their move to san verto, california. meaning, new school and new friends for mike. meanwhile, his dad was still traveling a lot for business and coming back whenever he could.

michael has grown up as a cheerful and energetic child. his friends at any school he went to would tell you how much of a great friend he is, how trustworthy and caring he is. it was so easy for him to make friends anywhere. he was the type of friend who would smile at you and listen to you talk on and on about whatever you liked, and the type who would cheer you on with anything you want to achieve. he wanted everyone to feel included and loved.

so it wasn’t that hard for him to get along with new people once he moved to town. he was a very social person. 

he was also the type of teenager who was out there doing things he wasn’t supposed to. he missed his old friends and his old home, but he wanted to have fun with all the new kids he was befriending. that simply resulted in him going to house parties as an underaged teen to ‘have fun’. his mother didn’t approve of him coming home very late at night, clearly smelling like smoke and alcohol. 

internally he was a depressed mess. of course, no one is completely happy as they grow up. his family was a mess, even if it appeared as fine to everyone else. his family life affected him so much while growing up. mike sometimes could disappear for a few days in his room, and it was always during some of his bad spells.

what made it worse was the day he found out the truth.

it was 2017 when michael walked into his father’s office in their house, looking for him to ask him about something. and instead of finding the man, he found a stack of papers poking from underneath his father’s laptop. upon closer look, they appeared to be divorce papers. michael’s heart sunk, thinking his parents were breaking it off.

michael is a curious kid, he couldn’t help but close the door and read the papers. but what he saw wasn’t his mother’s name, it was another woman. his heart raced, as he put things back where they were and immediately left the room. michael had found out one of his father’s many secrets. he never divorced his first wife all those years ago. he lied and somehow stayed with both women without suspicion... well, until now. clearly the other woman was breaking it off for a reason. 

michael couldn’t help his curiosity. he came back to the room later that night and snapped as many pictures as he could of evidence he could find. he even found his father’s phone (which was easy to figure out the password of) and found a plethora of pictures of the man with a different family, different kids and a different partner. he airdropped the pictures to himself to avoid leaving any traces behind and quickly left again.

a quick search on facebook, and he managed to find the first wife. it was easy with the name and pictures he had. if anything, michael prided himself on being a good internet detective... or stalker. he spent everyday trying to find the rest of the family on the internet. he found the woman’s young daughter on instagram and twitter, along with her older son’s accounts as well. it felt weird. it was a constant “now what?” for michael. he’s found them. what was he going to do now? he couldn’t just message them and tell them everything. and he couldn’t break his mother’s heart by letting her know.

except he had to let her know. he could never live with the fact that he knew his father was betraying her this entire time. and so michael told her everything, and after comforting her all night when she broke down yet again, she immediately ended things and asked for a divorce. now it was just michael and his mother, all alone. and for once, having to get by on their own.

thankfully they were safe, with his mother’s amazing money management skills, and the job she got at the academy, they managed to live their regular lives despite the heavy feeling of a broken family looming around them. the two just wanted to be happy again.

michael spent the next few years trying to lead a normal life. his mental health had gotten worse after everything he’s found out. he went to college, and he continued trying to do well in school. he really wasn’t the best when it came to grades, but he was trying his best.

and truthfully, he couldn’t help but make a few spare accounts on some social medias to follow his father’s other family.

but he eventually decided to just let it go, assuming they definitely knew about his mother and himself, which would explain the first divorce. so he decided to put it in the past and move on.

his mother has moved on as well. she found herself someone who actually cares about her so much (mike’s stupid ass has done a secret background check to make sure this dude wasn’t another cheater lmaoo) and now mike isn’t an only child anymore. it’s been 2 years since his little sister yuna was born, and he loves her so much. he still isn’t used to the idea of a new fatherly figure in his life, but he’s.... getting there.

Name four things that remind you of your bias. 1) The obvious: sunshine 2) When I hear despacito on the radio, I think of him singing it and it makes me smile 3) Whenever I am dancing (ie - Zumba class) I think of Hoseokie... his dancing is amazing and inspires me. Sometimes I try to dance as if Hoseok was there watching me. 4) I tend to say some of his quotes at times “I HATE SNAKEU” “DIRTY WATER ON MY FACEU” “OH MY HEARTEU IS..OMG” 40. Have you ever seen them live in concert? How many times? Yes, I saw them on April 1, 2017 in Anaheim during their Wings Tour. It changed my life.

41. You hear BTS in public- do you go off or pretend not to care? Oh, I definitely would freak out. Matter of fact, that happened to me once when I heard Dope at the ice cream shop. I have a realllyyy hard time hiding my love for Bangtan.

Do you have any merch? Errrmmm, not ‘official’ merch - but I have lots of photocards, posters, and some knock off wings tour merch since it all sold out too quickly for me to purchase. I wanted to buy a ton of stuff during the concert but I was stuck waiting in line for my GA wristband. 44. What’s your favorite hairstyle on each of the boys? AIIISHHH. This is hard. I realize I’m pretty boring with their hairstyles, I rly like brown/black hair on KPAP boiz. J-Hope: Black hair, one of my favorite looks is during the RUN MV. Kookie: Brown hair, his doesn’t change that much tbh Tae: Light brown hair, love his hair during Not Today. Jin: OK JIN WITH PINK HAIR THO. THAT WINGS PHOTOSHOOT. Jimin: Blood Sweat Tears hair. Need I say more? Rap Monster: Not Today hair. Suga: This one is hard because I really, really love a lot of Suga’s hairstyles. But I think Agust D blonde is my fave.

45. What would you get your bias for christmas? I’d get him pretty flowers and plants to grow in a garden, because he is my sunshine. <3

47. If you were to pick an outfit for your bias, what would you get him? First off, get him a simple black choker necklace becasue I just love the way Hobi looks in a choker. Maybe a nice blazer or jacket. Dark black pants. And those studly shoes he was wearing during the BBMAs. 48. Which of the boys would you want to get drunk with? I think Tae would be pretty fun to get drunk with ;) 49. Which of the boys would you want to have a movie night with? Maybe Namjoonie, because I feel like we could have an awesome, meaningful talk about the movie afterward 50. Which of the boys would you want to go shopping with? I’d say Jin, I bet he would be fun to shop and look at clothes with <3 51. Which of the boys would you want as your best friend? My bias Hoseok...I’d be in love with my best friend though. 53. Which boy is the most like you personality-wise?   Ahhh this is hard. In some ways, I do say J-Hope. I try to always be as fun and upbeat as him. 

56. Talk about the three things you like the most about your bias. His incredible smile. It’s what made me fall in love with him during the wings concert. His fun, upbeat personality that outshines everything. He’s always so upbeat and adorable. I love how he always calls us “his hope”. <3 <3 “I’m your hope, J-Hope”. His amazing dancing skills. 57. Talk about your bias’s sense of humor. Ehehehe, J-Hope is always laughing and making the others laugh. Thats why I love him. He is just so much fun. 58. Talk about your bias’s face and why you love it. Again, I think all of the boys have amazing smiles. But in my honest opinion, Jung Hoseok has the best smile in BTS. When I saw that big grin, perfect teeth, and energetic smile on stage I just couldn’t take it. 59. Describe your dream date or hang out  with your bias. Auughhh - hard to say. Spending any time with Jung Hoseok would be perfect - but I’d really do anything to get to know him more as a person beyond what I see on camera. Also, maybe a dance lesson date would be nice since I love to dance and he’s the best at it ;) 60. Do you think the way the boys act in public is how they really are? Hmmm, idk. Honestly, I’m sure they have moments off camera where they can be divas, dramatic, argue and everything. We never see that on camera, but I’m sure it happens a lot. However, we do see a TON of their day-to-day lives through vlogs and bangtan bombs and shows. So I feel like the personalities they show on camera are similar to their day-to-day personalities.

Do you own any merchandise: i’ve been on the hunt for a reliable merchant to buy the lollipop album from! i bought myself “prism” album for christmas last year but it came a little early since i didn’t know how long shipping would take. i wanted a poster too but they weren’t in stock >:( i have jian’s photocard next to me right now on my nightstand rip. it used to be in my wallet but it got bent like that so i took it out.

favourite voice/singer: see this is very inch resting …. if u can’t tell, i’ve been analysing momoland a lot these past few days to make up for the whole year i was sleeping on them like a fool :// i think nancy’s the most consistent by far and has the most distinct vocal color. ahin has a rly cheerful voice that shines thru in “bboom bboom!” taeha has a nice vocal range but could use some development to avoid straining. jooe and nayun are also really consistent imo but it’s harder to identify their tones than it is for nancy. but jooe really won me over in “love sick” so i’d have to say her ://
