If there was ever a flicker of emotion left within the heart of the priestess, it was stirred at the mere mention of her name.
Eva.
A fragile, dying ember, gasping for air, fighting against the suffocating cold that had long since claimed her. A breath too faint to matter, consumed by the darkness closing in around it. The memory of warmth was a ghost, a distant ache she no longer recognized.
Her heart, long deadened by time and loss, had become stone—cold, unyielding, and final. Her gaze, sharper than any blade, held nothing. No softness, no vulnerability. Only the emptiness she had forged from years of silence and sacrifice.
Tumblr media
“The sacrifices you’ve made for me,” she said, her voice a quiet whisper, as sharp and indifferent as the stone beneath her feet, “are never made in vain.”
It was a hollow reassurance, one that meant nothing. Miranda didn’t need comforting, didn’t need to be reminded of promises or assurances. They were lies, empty words spoken to soothe those who still believed in them. She had learned long ago that there was no salvation in words. No redemption. She had no place for such weaknesses. No place for sentiment. Her heart was a prison of ice, and nothing, not even the softest of feelings, could survive in the cold.
But Alcina…
She knew her too well. Alcina’s brutal hunger for women, her violent passion, a twisted dance of tenderness and savagery. Miranda understood that her demands for blood were no small sacrifice for the giantess.
The woman was a paradox—a beast clothed in beauty, an unstoppable force wrapped in elegant cruelty. Cold, yes, but not in the way Miranda was. Alcina wore her ice like armor, protecting a weakness she would never let anyone see. Miranda, on the other hand, had made her coldness a foundation, a fortress built to withstand everything, including the storms within herself.
But it didn’t matter.
Weakness was for others. She had no use for it (nor did Alcina) . No need for affection, for love, for any of the things that once made her human. The only thing that mattered was Eva who would return to her. And no force in the world could stop Miranda from making it so.
Tumblr media
Her claws—gleaming gold, deadly as ever—caught the pale light, sharp tips whispering the promise of death. Men, women, monsters—they were all the same to Miranda. All expendable. All obstacles to be torn apart, shredded without mercy. Nothing would stand in her way. Not even Alcina, who had rooted herself into the deepest, most forgotten parts of her heart.
Miranda had learned to silence the tremors of doubt, to hide every flicker of emotion, to bury the wreckage of her soul behind a flawless mask. The world could never see what lay beneath her icy exterior. But when she looked into Alcina’s eyes– cold eyes that mirrored her own–something shifted. Something cracked, even if only for a moment.
“I promise.”
The words came without hesitation, a soft whisper in the stale air of the dungeon. A vow. A promise. But there was more to it—something unspoken, a weight neither of them could ignore.
But Miranda knew. The promise was not for herself and whether it was to Alcina or Eva, she wasn’t sure.
Though, it was only Alcina who had the power to make such words slip from her lips. Only she who held the power to awaken something within Miranda that had long been buried. Something no one else could touch.
Fondness.
Tumblr media
The thought of it—this strange, uninvited warmth—soured her stomach. But it didn’t matter. She would push it down, bury it deeper than before. Eva would return. She would hold her again, and cradle the child she had lost. The blood of all those who had fallen, the sacrifices, the pain—they would all find meaning when Eva was returned to her.
But Alcina would never see it. She would never witness the resurrection.
And as Miranda stood there, staring into the abyss, she felt a deep, hollow ache, the faintest stirring beneath the ice. A feeling that had no name, a bitter weight pressing against the frozen walls of her heart. It was a reminder that no matter how much she buried, no matter how cold she became, there was always something beneath the surface.
No one had power over her emotions. Not anymore. She was beyond such things. Or so she convinced herself. But Alcina—Alcina had found a way in. A way to stir the ashes of something long thought dead.
Emotion.
Tumblr media
A white hot flash of something– a whip cracking across the air. Hatred. But not for Alcina. No. It was the hatred for what Alcina had awakened—the emotions Miranda had buried so deeply, so far beneath her, she believed they had long since turned to dust. And yet, with a single glance, a single name, Alcina had dragged them back into the light, like a corpse clawing its way from the grave.
Miranda had no room for such things. She was stronger than this. She had to be.
And like the last flicker of a dying flame, the faintest stir of warmth at the mention of Eva’s name or the faintest, unwanted trace of affection for Alcina— it was crushed. Extinguished. Mercilessly snuffed out, leaving nothing but the cold, empty stillness that had been her only constant.
Nothing left. Not even the faintest trace of weakness. Only the unbroken, unyielding chill of what remained.

Heloooooooo!🙌 How ya doing? I hope you’re having a *lovely* day! Seeing as you’re opening your inbox, I’m just gonna…leave this here ;)!
*leaves scroll*
What do you reckon the Dimis would think of forms of affection? Hand holding, kissing, cuddling, quality time, etc. do you think they’d approve of such displays in public, or just in the privacy of their room? A bit of good old fluff. Feel free to ignore it if it doesn’t take your pick!🙌
See ya :)!
🧁- anon
Hiii! This is an amazing ask :3 I love them so much and EAUGH I WANNA CUDDLE ALL OF THEM!!!! You said the dimis so I’m gonna include alcina :3 this is pure filthy fluff heheheheh :333
Content warning for minor (sfw) knife play. Also blood drinking…. They’re vampires.
The Dimitrescus preferences on affection with their s/o
Alcina 🍷
She enjoys being able to hold you, whether it’s on her lap while she works, or cuddled into her chest while you sleep.
Her hands are… well… gigantic. Which makes “regular” hand holding difficult. But she loves it when you intertwine your fingers with hers during particularly aggravating calls with Miranda.
She is, obviously, the big spoon. Which neither of you mind. She always holds you close to her while sleeping, she likes the feeling of protecting you. Shielding you from any dangers that may lurk outside of her arms.
She prefers to keep anything longer than a peck in private however. Unless of course, she’s showing someone that you’re hers. In which case you can expect to be lifted/pressed up against the nearest wall for her to make out with you.
She loves having her hair played with/her head scratched while laying with you, especially after a long/stressful day. She also likes having her back/shoulders massaged
She isn’t clingy like her daughters, but she loves being able to have you near her. When she’s working she likes to have you in her lap. You’re like a stress reliever to her.
She loves being able to lift and hug you, or lean down to press kisses to your head. She likes the way you look up at her after, it makes her feel like a goddess.
She loves it when you dance with her, you’ll often have dates in the castle, and her favourite place to bring you is always the opera hall. The two of you dance for hours, just basking in each others presence.
She always makes sure to reserve time in her day to be with you, no matter what. She even hung up on Miranda once after she “took too much of our time”
When she gets thirsty (not like that you horny bastard) she pulls you onto her lap and gently tilts your head to the side, she always peppers kisses down your throat before drinking from you.
She loves you so much, and makes sure you know that. Whether it be through words or actions, you always know how much you mean to her.
Some pet names she likes to use for you are dragâ (darling), iubire (love), little one, and pet.
Bela 📚
She, like her mother, loves having you with her while she works. She says your presence calms her during especially stressful days, your scent specifically helps.
She likes to have you on her lap, not during formal events or dinner of course. But when you’re reading together in the library she’ll pull you onto her and wrap her arms around you.
She loves it when you bury your head into the crook of her neck to press a gentle kiss to her throat, which normally leads to her squeaking and getting flustered. Only when you’re alone though, she thinks it’s “improper”.
She absolutely loves having her hair played with. Untangle her hair with your fingers? She’s a blushing mess.
She loves massages, getting them and giving them. You better believe homegirl is practically a professional at them.
She likes sitting next to you whenever possible, she always intertwines her fingers with yours. She loves being able to hold you, even if it’s subtle.
She has a busy schedule, to the point that she often forgets to eat. So when you walk into her office after a long day and offer up your neck? She practically melts, before hugging you tight and telling you how much you mean to her.
She normally hates giving you anything more than a gentle peck when in public, but please expect to be pushed up against the nearest surface as soon as you’re alone.
She loves it when you rest your head on her chest, or vice versa.
She’s bad with words, especially when you first start dating, but she always shows you how much she loves you. Her favourite way to do so is by taking care of you, bringing you a snack when she smells you getting hungry (blood sugar maybe?), or reading to you when you’re sad.
She loves calling you little one, darling, dragâ, and dove.
Cassandra ⚔️
Cassandra hates doing anything that could make her seem weak or soft in public. So hugs, hand holding, cuddling? Absolutely not.
She can and will push you up against the nearest wall to make out with you. She likes knowing that other people see, so that they know you belong to her.
But in private? You can’t convince me she wouldn’t love having her hair played with, and if you scratch her scalp? She will moan.
She’s not used to gentle displays of affection, especially at the beginning of your relationship. But after she warms up to it? She loves it, privately of course.
She especially enjoys having you sit in her lap while she’s sharpening her weapons. Often using your skin to test if they’re good enough, if she doesn’t smell blood as soon as she presses it up against you it’s not sharp enough.
She loves your blood, everything about it, so when she comes home from a particularly annoying hunt and finds you on her bed with your neck exposed for her? She growls before swarming right on top of you.
After drinking from you, she likes to lay on top of you and bury her face in your neck savouring your scent and taste.
Normally, if you’re alone, she likes to intertwine her fingers with yours or pull you onto her lap.
Shockingly, she’s incredibly clingy. Not so much as Dani, but still, very clingy. So if you’re especially busy or have to make a trip into town on any given day she’ll whine and complain until you get back.
She loves it when you trace her scars, she’ll often tell you the stories of how she “won” them to calm you down if you’re upset. She often tells you stories of her hunts, not only to introduce you to that part of her, but to analyse your expression for any hint of fear.
She often falls asleep on top of you, she likes how warm you are, and being able to protect you.
Cass is horrible with her words. Like. Horrible. Before you started dating she called you her blood bag… to flirt. She is b a d with expressing how much she loves you. So she shows you. She often kills maids who are rude to you and gifts you certain parts of them. After the fourth pair of eyes you had to explain to her organs weren’t exactly a gift you could keep. So she started bringing you teeth.
She likes calling you pet, little one, doll, morsel, snack, and (sigh) blood bag
Daniela 💌
She absolutely loves physical affection, and she truly doesn’t care what other people think. She constantly has to be touching you, or she will whine until she is.
Obviously, she’s the most clingy of her family, and the best cuddler. Like, are you sad? Bonk, Dani’s got ya.
You can’t convince me she wouldn’t love to sit in your lap to read, she loves it. She often reads aloud to you when you’re upset, and loves the same being done for her.
She loves it when you hold her, whether it be her hand, or her thigh, she constantly wants your hand on her.
She loves hugging you, like, absolutely loves it. She loves feeling your arms wrap around her and hold her to you, she says it makes her feel calm. I swear to the gods a hug from this girl could probably cure my depression.
She wants to spend as much time as physically possible with you every single day, which often leads to you not finishing your work.
When she’s particularly hungry, she loves pulling you against her before burying her head into the crook of your neck and inhaling as much of your scent as she can. She always marks you up before drinking from you, to show everyone you’re hers.
During the colder months, she enjoys nestling under a pile of blankets with you. Often giggling when you squeak at the feeling of her freezing hands against your sides.
She loves kissing you, it doesn’t matter to her who sees, all that she cares about if being able to feel your lips on hers.
She loves being treated like a princess, bow for her or twirl her? She is squealing and giggling in delight.
She loves spending time with you while reading, but, (when it’s warm enough out for her to go outside) she often drags you out to the garden to make flower crowns together.
She loves sleeping curled into you, with her arm flung around your waist and her head buried in your shoulder.
She like calling you more cheesy and romantic pet names, and expects the same from you. She calls you things like my love, dearest, sweetheart, little human, and her Knight. (If you call her princess she will melt)
That’s all! I hope you like this :3 thank you for my first ever ask :3

Alcina's New Maid Pt. 23 Lady Dimitrescu x Reader
Summary: You and Alcina spend a cozy morning in bed before going to pay the prisoner a visit.
Warnings: 18+ minors DNI.
Tags: some smut, dash of sub!alci and a little soft!dom reader
Notes: Part 23!
I am SO sorry this has taken LITERALLY over a month for me to finish!! But I think I have a pretty valid excuse, for those of you who didn't see my latest update - I'm pregnant!! And it's a boy! The first trimester was ROUGH, I wasn't vomiting but I was so sick. I'm 17 weeks and am feeling much, much better! (Aside from hip/lower back pain, according to the old wives tales that's common when pregnant with boys lolz) anyway I'm hoping to update much more regularly now that I'm finally feeling better!

Tumblr media
The morning sunlight filters in through the window, gently waking you from your slumber. The feeling of a heavy arm draped across your stomach let you know that Alcina was still in bed with you. Turning over to face her, you come across a sight you don't see very often - if you've seen it at all. Alcina asleep on her stomach, one arm under her pillow under her head and the other keeping you close. Her usual pristine and perfect curls are sprawled out across the pillowcase with a few rogue strands hanging down into her face.
She looks so peaceful, if not for her size you would think she was human in this moment. Your eyes dance across her sleeping features. Her skin, riddled with scars and marks that she covers up with makeup, her over-plucked eyebrows that she also corrects with makeup are on full display. You notice how long and dark her natural eyelashes are as they rest on the tops of her cheeks. Her full pink lips, the laugh lines that rest at the corners of her mouth, everything about her is so beautiful.
You delicately tuck a strand of hair hanging in her face behind her ear, hoping you don't wake her up. But of course, Alcina is one of the lightest sleepers you've ever met - honestly you're surprised that turning in her arms didn't wake her.
Her eyes flutter open and beautiful gold irises look back at you.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to wake you up."
"Don't be, I am surprised I fell back asleep."
"Did you get up at all last night?"
"No," she says, shaking her head and pulling you in closer. "I laid here all night with you in my arms. I considered getting some work done but I couldn't bring myself to let you go."
Alcina nuzzles into your hair, taking a deep inhale and exhaling with a content sigh.
It wasn't until her hand rested against your bare back did you realize you were still naked from the events of the night before. You tuck yourself under her chin, trying to get as close as possible. Alcina kisses the top of your head and holds you against her chest. An audible purr rumbles through her as she buries her nose into your hair.
You can feel her purrs vibrate through your body and you can't help but lightly chuckle.
"What are you laughing at?" She asks, nuzzling into you more.
"Nothing, it just seems like both you and the dragon are enjoying yourselves this morning."
Alcina huffs into your hair and shakes her head.
"I suppose we are. It does seem to enjoy your company." She mumbles.
"I have a feeling I am going to enjoy her company as well. As long as she doesn't try to kill me again." You joke.
Alcina pulls away and narrows her eyes at you. You can see the hurt in her eyes, the regret she stills holds onto from that day.
"That is not something to joke about." She says with a deadly serious edge to her voice.
"I'm sorry. I only joked about it because I've been able to move past it. I don't want you to keep blaming yourself for what happened."
"I will because it was my fault."
Bringing your hand to cup her face, you brush your thumb across her skin.
"It was Miranda's fault, not yours. And I am going to remind you of that every day for the rest of my life if I have to, Alcina. I love you. I forgive you. I want you to forgive yourself."
Alcina closes her eyes with a sigh. She places her hand over yours and presses it into her skin. When her eyes open again they're glassy with unshed tears. Alcina opens and closes her mouth a few times, trying to find the words to respond with.
Instead of waiting for her response you lean in and press your lips into hers. Her golden eyes flutter shut and she kisses you back. The kiss turns from one of understanding to one of passion. Your tongue grazes her bottom lip and she parts them, allowing you in. The hand she had against yours on her cheek moves behind you before she rolls onto her back, pulling you on top.
As the kiss intensifies you bite down on Alcina's bottom lip and tug at it. A moan escapes from her and you bring your lips back to hers to swallow it. Your hands travel down her neck, past her shoulders to the tops of her breasts. She arches into your touch and you take as much of her massive breasts into your hands as you can - the only thing separating you from her skin is the thin fabric of her nightgown. Another moan slips past her lips into yours when you begin to massage her breasts. Taking her nipples between your fingers, she whimpers into your mouth causing to you moan in response when you roll them.
Last night she worshipped you, now you get to return the favor.
Releasing her breasts from your grip you grab the thin straps of her nightgown and pull them down. Alcina slides her arms out and you pull the silk down to her waist. She groans when your hands find her breasts once more and you start kissing down her jaw towards her neck.
She threads her fingers through your hair as she guides your kisses further down her body. As eager as the both of you are, you still want to take your time to try and kiss every inch of skin you can so you fight against Alcina's pushing a little. She groans at your silent protest and you respond by nipping at her collarbone, causing her to take a sharp inhale. Of course the mark immediately disappears but you're pretty sure you got your point across when you feel her grip loosen.
You kiss across her other collarbone before slowly making your way down towards her sternum and between her breasts. Her nipples harden in your hands and your own patience begins to wear thin. In one swift motion you pull away from between her breasts and take one of her hardened peaks into your mouth. Alcina's groan quickly turns into a moan as you circle your tongue around it and suck. Just before it becomes too sensitive you release her nipple with a pop and latch onto the other one, repeating your ministrations.
Moans pass through Alcina's lips as you suck on her. She certainly wasn't expecting this to happen this morning but now that you've started, she might go crazy if you stopped.
The silk of her nightgown is soft under your touch as you run your hands down her stomach. As you reach her hips you gather the fabric and begin to bunch it up before releasing her other nipple from between your lips.
Alcina's legs fall open and her hand rests on the top of your shoulder. Looking up at her you take in the sight before you. A true goddess, with her head thrown back into the pillow, her usual perfect and pristine curls splayed across the pillowcase. Her eyes are closed and her lips parted in anticipation for you to reach your next destination. She gently pushes down on your shoulder, giving you a not-subtle hint to where she wants you to go next.
Sliding between her legs, you leave open mouthed kisses on the exposed skin of her stomach as you make your way down. You place one last kiss above the band of her underwear before getting settled. Taking in the sight in front of you you see the large wet patch in the middle of her lacy underwear. Reaching out, you run your fingers up and down the wet spot, causing Alcina's breath to hitch with a groan.
Her hips begin to gently roll against your touch. Placing a kiss on the inside of her thigh, you rest your hand on top of her mound and let your thumb circle her already swollen clit. She lets out the softest whine that causes you to smile into the skin of her thigh as you continue to pepper it with light kisses.
It surprises you how sensitive she is until you realize how long it's probably been since her last release. Jealousy begins to set in when you realize the last person to touch her was that maid. The last person to unravel Alcina was that maid. Right then and there you make the decision to make sure no one will ever be able make her feel as good as you can. It becomes your mission to make sure no one else's touch but your own will ever be able to unravel her again.
Abruptly, you pull your hand away and she lets out a groan of frustration. Before she can protest any further you grab each side of her underwear and practically yank them down her long legs, throwing them aside.
You kiss your way back up the inside of her thighs before settling between her legs once more. Looking up at Alcina you see that her eyes are squeezed shut but you want her to see you pleasure her. You want her to see that it's you driving her into bliss.
"Alcina," you say as you plant kisses into her soft, muscular thighs. "look at me."
Alcina hears your request but can't bring herself to open her eyes. Last time she did it crushed her that it wasn't you between her legs. She's terrified that if she looks it won't be you there. So she shakes her head "no".
Nipping the inside of her thigh, she whimpers.
"Look at me." Again, she shakes her head no. "Alcina, my love, look at me."
The smell of her arousal is intoxicating, it's so tempting for you to say "fuck it" and feast on her as she's spread out before you, but you stay strong.
"My love," you say as you kiss the inside of her thigh again. "look at me, please."
Alcina rolls her hips towards your mouth but you do your best to push them back down, and much to your surprise you're able to - she doesn't put up much of a fight.
"I want you to look at me Alcina. Look at me."
The throbbing between her legs begins to surpass the fear she has. After taking a shaky inhale, she opens her eyes and looks down at you as she props herself up on her elbows. The air in her lungs stalls when she sees that it's you between her legs. Relief washes over her and she melts into the mattress as her body relaxes.
A smile pulls at the corner of your lips as your eyes meet her golden ones. You see the look of relief, of passion burning in them. There's almost a look of desperation, a silent plea for you to continue.
"Good job." You say. A wave of arousal courses through Alcina, she definitely wasn't expecting you to praise her and she definitely wasn't expecting the praise to turn her on even more. "Now keep your eyes on me. Can you do that?"
Alcina silently nods her head "yes" and you lower your mouth down to her. You lick a broad strip up her dripping slit, just barely brushing over her clit. Her moans fill your ears as you moan from her taste on your tongue.
Looking back up at her, you notice her eyes are closed and her head is thrown back. You nip at the inside of her thigh to get her attention and her head snaps back towards you.
"Eyes on me." You say.
Alcina goes to protest but before she can utter a word you dive back in and the words die on her tongue. Anything she was about to say was replaced by a string of soft curses and moans. Your eyes flick up to make sure she's still looking at you and you see her golden irises staring back. You smile into her and swipe your tongue over her clit before capturing it between your lips.
A large hand grips the back of your head and Alcina cries out as you lick and suck on her throbbing clit. Every time you check to make sure she's still looking at you, you see her eyes trained on you.
Doubling down on your efforts you flick your tongue over her clit faster as it throbs between your lips. Alcina's legs begin to shake and just as they start to tighten around your head, just before she's about to fall into bliss, you pull away.
Her fingers holding onto the hair on the back of your head tighten almost painfully as she cries out at the loss. Looking back up at her, her eyes are glowing with frustration and she growls at you.
"Shh," you say, kissing the inside of her thigh. "let me take care of you. Trust me my love." The grip on the back of your head loosens and her eyes soften. "Good, keep looking at me."
She nods her head and you lick up her slit once more before bringing three of your fingers to her entrance. After you coat them in her arousal, you part her lips and slowly push in. Alcina moans above you as you push your fingers in and pull them out before pushing them back in once more. You repeat this motion a few times before thrusting down to your knuckles. She lets out a moan when you start fall into a rhythm and curl your fingers into her velvety walls. Three fingers may feel good for her but you know it's not enough so after a few more thrusts and curls you add a fourth finger.
Alcina moans grow louder and you feel her clench down around you as you continue to thrust and curl your fingers. With her eyes still focused on you, she begins to rock her hips to the pace you've set.
"Oh, draga." She moans.
"Am I making you feel good my love?"
"Yes." She says with an exhale.
"Can you take more of me? Do you want me to fill you baby?" You ask as you thrust hard into her and curl your fingers.
"Yes!" She cries. "Please my love, give me more!"
Folding your thumb across your palm, you slide your whole hand into her and you feel her walls stretch around you. Alcina lets out a filthy moan yet her eyes never leave you.
"Good job, I know how much you love feeling me fill you. I know you missed this, didn't you?" You ask as you pick up the pace.
"Yes! I missed you inside of me, I missed you so much draga mea!"
Your thrusts become faster and harder as you feel her walls flutter around you. The tips of your fingers feel that spongy spot deep inside and you push further into it before your fingers curl. Alcina lets out a scream as you start to pound against that spot.
"Oh fuck, draga! Right there!" She cries as her hips rock harder against your hand.
"Right here?" You ask as you curl against that spot again and she cries out as she stares down at you. She couldn't pull her eyes away from you even if she wanted to in this moment. "No one knows you like I do, isn't that right? No one else knows exactly what spot to hit to make you see stars, do they?" You ask as you continue to fuck her.
Unable to form words, Alcina shakes her head "no" as more moans leave her lips.
"That little maid could never fuck you the way I do, could she?" Alcina's mouth hangs open and she shakes her head "no" again. "Answer me." You say before swiping your tongue over her clit.
Alcina's hips buck into you and she cries out.
"No! She could never fuck me the way you do! No one could ever fuck me the way you do!"
"Good girl." You say before latching onto her clit and sucking on it.
Alcina's moans and cries grow louder and you feel her walls beginning to clench around your hand. She's getting close but you want to drag it out as long as you possibly can.
"Not yet." You say before flicking your tongue over her clit again.
She lets out a frustrated groan and throws her head back.
"Uh-uh, look at me." She rolls her head forward and her half-lidded eyes lock onto yours. You can see in her eyes how close she is. "Not yet baby, not yet."
Alcina whimpers as she tries to hold off her orgasm. You push her further and further, her legs begin to shake around your head as she does her best to stop from falling over the edge.
"Almost, not yet." You mumble into her.
"Please." She whimpers. "Please my love."
Your eyes snap up to hers and you see the desperation in her eyes, a complete submission you've never seen before. The look in her eyes spurs you on as you thrust faster and suck harder on her clit.
"Draga, I - I can't -"
"Cum for me baby."
Alcina's body trembles and you can see the explosion behind her eyes before they roll into the back of her head as she lets out a scream. She clenches tightly around your hand as you continue to fuck her through her orgasm. Her clit throbs wildly in your mouth and you flatten your tongue against it as she bucks against you, letting her use your mouth as she rides it out.
Her cries soften and her walls start to relax. You swipe over her clit once more with your tongue - causing her to whine - before pulling your soaked hand from her. Alcina's chest rapidly rises and falls as she continues to come down from her high, trying to catch her breath. Aftershocks cause her hips and legs to twitch around you.
Crawling up next to her, Alcina opens her eyes and looks deeply into yours. Before you can say anything she pulls you into her and kisses you with an explosive passion.
When your lips part she buries her face into the side of your neck as the last of the aftershocks course through her. You run your fingers through her hair and kiss her head as she holds you tight.
Alcina has never relented control like that before with you. Even when you were pleasuring her in the past she was always in control. You wonder if she's ever let someone else take control before. Maybe before she got the cadou, but you're almost certain that she's never let someone else have control after.
She pulls away and looks into your eyes. You notice how watery they are and you cup her cheek and smile at her.
"Thank you." She says softly, holding back her tears.
"Of course. I love you."
"I love you, draga mea."
When your lips meet you feel a warmth flood your body. There's no hunger or desperation in the kiss, just pure love. She kisses you slowly for some time before your lips finally part. Alcina rests her forehead against yours and holds you tight.
"I love you so much. I am never letting you go ever again." She whispers.
"Good. Because I never want to let you go." You say back.
The two of you bask in the afterglow for a while longer, just holding each other in your arms while exchanging soft, slow kisses. It's moments like these with her that are your absolute favorite. Moments where the rest of the world disappears and it's just the two of you cuddled under the duvet. Your fingers trace her larger ones, in awe of how much bigger her hands are than yours. How soft her skin is, how strong they are. For the first time you really get a good look at the tips of her fingers and her fingernails. It fascinates you that her near perfect manicure can become such dangerous, beautiful claws in an instant.
"Does it hurt?" You ask.
"No. It was rather uncomfortable at first but I grew used to it over time."
"Was it hard to control?"
"I wouldn't say it was hard, but it did take some getting used to in the beginning. There were plenty of instances where a poor maid was in the wrong place at the wrong time and she was accidentally sliced to ribbons."
"What happened?"
"They were more difficult to control when I was in fits of anger - which happened often back then. They seemed to have a mind of their own."
"Like a defense mechanism?"
"In a way, yes. So if I wasn't careful about my movements or how close I was to someone when I was angry, well, lets just say it didn't often end well."
"How long did it take you to control them?"
"Not very long, a few years perhaps. Although still to this day I can feel them itching to come out when I'm upset or angry, but I have much better control now than I did then."
"Do you file them?"
"Every so often, yes. But the wear and tear of my everyday work naturally wears them down so they're not as sharp."
"Is this the shortest they go without you having to trim them?"
"You are so full of questions this morning." She says with a smile as a light blush dusts your cheeks. Alcina kisses the side of your head before answering. "This is their natural length, but when necessary I can retract them further. It can be uncomfortable but it's worth it so I don't injure my partner during certain... activities." She says with a smirk.
You thread your fingers through hers and cuddle into Alcina with a giggle. Alcina nuzzles into you and kisses you on the head before letting out a sigh.
"Nooo." You whine, knowing what her sigh meant.
"I know draga, but we've been in bed all morning. I have a long list of things that need to be done today, including speaking with our prisoner."
Grumbling into her shoulder, Alcina lets out a laugh before pulling you close and kissing you one more time before throwing the covers off of the two of you.
You try with all of your might to hold Alcina down but she quickly overpowers you and flips you onto your back. She clicks her tongue at you as she leans down.
"Valiant effort my darling, but unfortunately you do not have the strength to overpower me just yet." Your bottom lip pushes out into a pout and she clicks her tongue at you again. "Oh, what's the matter my love? There is no pouting after such a wonderful morning." She says before leaning down and placing a chaste kiss on your lips.
Alcina sits up and gets out of bed, not before tapping you on the thigh, prompting you to get out of bed as well.
"Come now draga, we have many things to do today."
The two of you get dressed and make your way down to the dining room for breakfast. During your meal Alcina goes over what she has to do today with the girls and discusses what she wants to happen with the prisoner.
"After breakfast we will pay him a little visit. Draga, if you would like to join us you are more than welcome to, but you are under no obligation."
"I would like to come, but I can stay out of sight. I just want to see if he tells you everything."
"What do you mean by that?" Cassandra asks.
"Y/n here went and visited our prisoner yesterday."
"You went into the dungeon alone?!" Bela asks.
"And you didn't die??" Cassandra asks.
"Why would you do that?!" Daniela yells.
"Girls, that's enough. We already spoke about it last night. There is no need for you to interrogate her about it, but I appreciate your concern for her wellbeing." Alcina says before turning back towards you. "Draga you are more than welcome to stay within earshot if you would like and if you want to make an appearance you may do so."
"I just don't want to see him get hurt."
"We will make sure you are escorted out of the dungeon before any of that takes place."
"Thank you." You say with a smile.
"Of course, my love."
The rest of the meal flies by and as the time to go down to the dungeon gets closer, you slowly begin to lose your appetite.
The girls finish their meals and Alcina swirls the rest of her wine in her glass before downing it in one gulp.
"Alright girls, I believe it's time to go visit the prisoner."
"I can't wait to take a bite out of him." Cassandra says with hungry eyes.
"And you say I'm always hungry." Daniela mumbles.
"Because you are! You insatiable beast!" Cassandra snaps back.
"Am not!"
"Are too!"
"Girls. Enough. I need you to either take this seriously or you will not participate. Do you understand?" Alcina says with a stern look.
"Yes mother." They reply in unison.
"Ready, draga?" Alcina asks, reaching her hand out towards you.
You nod your head and take her hand in yours.
"As ready as I'll ever be, I guess."
"Then let us go."
Alcina leads you from the dining room towards the dungeon door. The closer you get the harder you feel your heart pounding in your chest. Bela, Cassandra and Daniela swarm down the stairs in a fit of excited giggles and Alcina stops at the top of the steps before kneeling down to your height.
"Are you sure you want to come, my love? I don't want you to feel pressured to be there."
"I know, but I want to. I have to. I just need to know-" you take a deep breath and Alcina nods at you, not needing you to finish your response. She knows why you feel like you need to come, that you need to see for yourself if he was as innocent as you thought he was - as you wanted him to be.
Alcina looks deeply into your eyes before pulling you in for a kiss. Immediately, your body relaxes into her touch and you smile into her. When your lips part Alcina stands back up and takes your hand in hers. She guides you through the dungeon door and you know there's no turning back now. You can only hope he tells them the truth - the whole truth. Not only does his fate hang in the balance, but so does the remainder of hope you've been clinging to.
"Well, here goes nothing." You say to yourself as you take the final steps towards the cell.

[Resident Evil Village] Donna Beneviento x Female Reader - "Attached"
[Requested]
Summary: Donna gradually manages to get used to how affectionate you can be. So much so that she starts to initiate forms of affection herself.
Word Count: 7.29k Content + Warnings: Slightly OOC Donna (and possibly Alcina), talks of insecurity and loneliness, language (?), brief allusions to sex
- - - - [Masterlist] - - - -
[A/N]: I got a little carried away with some of the dialogue. This was just fun to write, honestly. I couldn't think of a good way to write the ending, so the pacing might seem a bit off. Also, I'm trying out a new banner for my stories, but I'm not sure if I'll keep it.
Enjoy!
Tumblr media
Affection wasn’t something that was necessarily common in the Beneviento household. Even with her dolls there to keep her company over the years, Donna very seldom found herself being comforted by their small embraces, subconsciously reminding herself that they weren’t doing it of their own accord. Being reminded constantly of the fact she was in control of every action each doll made, she never truly felt as though there was love in them.
It had been so long since her parents had been around, and even though she was taken in under Miranda’s supposed care, not once in her lifetime did the priestess show her the affection, nor the approval, she had been desperately craving.
All throughout the rest of her childhood, adolescence, and most of her adulthood, Donna found herself alone. Even when she was surrounded by her “family” during meetings and other events, she could never seem to truly rid herself of the feeling of loneliness. She had convinced herself with time that she would be fine all alone – she deserved it, and it would be better for everyone anyway. As a result, she hardly ever left her home unless someone forced her to or if she had to visit the Duke for new supplies.
She grew accustomed to the silence in that cold manor, every unexpected sound causing her to panic until it passed. Improvising unfamiliar acts of affection was difficult to do on her own, which ultimately led her to create new dolls that were more mannequin-like that she could cradle or lean against when she felt particularly lonely. Some mannequins were designed specifically to be able to hold her close, and although she was immune to the effects of the pollen she used to cause hallucinations, she still managed to find a way to force a heartbeat and breathing that wasn’t there in order to bring herself some deluded sense of comfort.
Often, she ended up falling asleep cradled in the wooden arms of her creations, usually in the den on the couch, or on the sofa in the study during the middle of a movie. It was a rare occurrence for her to sleep in her own bed. It was too painful most nights to roll over and see the empty side of the bed, cold and lacking anyone there for her to wake up to in the morning. Most nights, she wouldn’t let herself sleep until she physically couldn’t stay awake any longer.
Because of all of this, her twenties dragged on for an eternity.
Once she realized just how alone her younger sister was once she reached her early thirties, Alcina took it upon herself to send one of her best maids to the Beneviento household to provide her both with help around the house and some much needed company.
She hadn’t given any warning, only sent the poor girl out to the grounds in a carriage with a few other trusted servants to ensure she made it safely. Had she been sent to walk there instead, Donna would’ve taken notice immediately and likely killed the young woman. However, she recognized her sister’s carriage instantly and stopped herself from reacting too harshly. She answered the door herself when a knock echoed down the halls, assuming it was either Alcina herself or her daughters.
Frozen immediately at the sight of a stranger standing there at her doorstep, Donna found it impossible to speak. When you bowed your head and explained your situation, the Lady subtly motioned for Angie to answer for her, screaming at you, the stranger, and asking why there was no warning of your sudden appearance.
“Oh, my apologies, Lady Beneviento. I had assumed Lady Dimitrescu had called or sent a letter prior to my arrival. I hope I’m not intruding on anything important,” you had whispered, your voice so gentle and sincere that Donna couldn’t find it in herself to be entirely angry with you. ‘It wasn’t the poor girl’s fault,’ after all, it was Alcina’s, and she made a mental note to call her later and give her a piece of her mind.
Wordlessly, Donna lifted her hand as a gesture to stop talking, one in which you obeyed immediately. “You silly girl,” Angie screeched, laughing almost maniacally as she clambered to your legs and climbed to your shoulders. “You worked for the Big Hat Lady, didn’t you? Why would she send you here? Were you too useless around her crusty, old, gigantic castle?”
“Oh, no,” you answered with a small laugh, puzzling Donna on how calm you seemed to be. She reminded herself that you had probably seen far worse and more bizarre things while under Alcina’s reign. A talking doll was surely something unordinary, though there were deeper horrors out there that outweighed even the pure discomfort Angie brought to others.
“Nothing like that. I assure you I do my best.” Donna hummed, disinterested and unamused. Still, you continued. “If I’m being completely honest, I’m not entirely sure why she sent me here, but I’m sure she has a good reason. I was honestly hoping I would be able to ask if you knew why, but… well, it seems we’re both at a loss.”
You seemed so casual about everything: you weren’t uncomfortable standing in front of possibly the most feared Lord in the village, you didn’t seem scared or startled when Angie came bounding around the corner, and you weren’t trembling even a little bit under the unsettling views that surrounded you. As annoyed as she was with this sudden intrusion, Donna had to admit she was still a little intrigued by you.
Perhaps some good would come from your stay after all. It would certainly be a nice change to have more time to herself outside of her projects. If someone was there to help take care of the cleaning and organizing, she would have more peace. More effort could be put into her dolls, she would be able to spend more time reading and researching, and she wouldn’t be alone. Regardless of knowing she likely wouldn’t be able to bring herself to talk directly to you, it was still a comforting thought to know there would be someone there – someone she couldn’t control, but someone she could instead rely on to make things lighter on her shoulders.
A moment passed before she sighed, stepping aside and welcoming you almost unwillingly into her estate.
“Thank you, my Lady,” you murmured with another charming smile, lifting your suitcases and carrying them inside. Once the front door was closed, Donna turned to find you standing there, patiently waiting for your first order. “I’ll show you to your room,” Angie announced, still perched on your shoulders. Without getting down, she grabbed ahold of your sleeves and began yanking them in the direction she wanted you to go.
Biting back a small snicker at her motions, you followed her demands and made your way to the stairs, still clutching your bags in your hands. Donna watched until you disappeared into the guest room that used to be her bedroom as a child. She didn’t know you entirely – only caught glimpses of you occasionally during her visits to the castle – though she still hoped that old room would be suitable and you would find it comfortable here. Using Angie distracting you to her advantage, she made her way to the lift and lowered herself to the basement, where she found her landline and dialed her sister’s phone number with a practiced motion.
Two rings before Alcina picked up, and it seemed she already knew who had called.
“Donna, darling, before you start lecturing me, will you give me a chance to explain myself?” Snarling through her words, Donna agreed to stay silent and listen. “Yes, but it better be a good reason. You know very well how I feel about strangers.”
“I know you aren’t fond of new people, but I can assure you I sent that girl with the best intentions in mind. She’s one of my best maids: kind, obedient, very level-headed. I figured she would be a good fit for you. I–” “Scusi?” Donna interrupted, on the verge of hollering. “Oddio mio! Fai sempre quello che vuoi, ed è esasperante!” Before she could continue with her verbal tirade, her eldest sister interrupted once again, prompting her blood to boil further. “Donna, please listen to me, dear,” her voice was almost strained.
A small slipped past Lady Dimitrescu’s lips, almost silent from the other side of the phone. Donna could picture her pinching the bridge of her nose as she spoke – could see her brows furrowing and causing her skin to crease in disdain. “I promise you I will explain myself, but you must listen to the entirety of what I have to say.”
“Make it quick. If there’s no viable reason for that girl to be here, I will send her back immediately.”
“I’m explaining my reasons, if you’ll be patient with me for just a moment.”
When silence fell between them, Alcina took it as a sign of the doll-maker’s reluctant compliance. “I noticed over the years that you’ve been lacking any sort of assistance down in that manor of yours, amongst other things. I know you won’t enjoy hearing it, but you’re alone, Donna, terribly alone. Anyone can see it, that’s how painfully obvious it is. That can lead to horrible tricks from the mind. You shouldn’t have to do everything by yourself. Some company would do you good, even if it’s just a maid there to help keep things tidy. I worry about you, truly, but there’s so little I’m able to do for you if you won’t accept the help I give you.
“That’s why I’m asking you to give this arrangement a chance. A month, at most. If you still aren’t satisfied or comfortable with her being there with you by then, I will send for her return, but I would appreciate it if you tried.”
“Alcina–” Donna started, grunting in distrust.
“Only for a month. I’m in no way suggesting you try to court this girl or even grow close to her. Just be cordial so you’ll have someone there with you that you can rely on at any given moment. She’s kind, patient, and respectful of any person, which is why I assumed she would be a good fit for you. She won’t step over your boundaries or interfere with anything you’re struggling with unless you ask her to. Please, whether you’re ready or not, give her a chance.”
A brief moment passed where Donna could only part her lips, though no words would come forward. She wanted desperately to protest against what her sister had essentially thrown on her so unexpectedly, though some part of her – the loneliest part, she knew – wanted to have someone here with her. Her sister trusted you, and you hadn’t caused any trouble that resulted in reprimand while you were still under her care, so there was a chance you wouldn’t be a nuisance the way she thought just a moment before.
Her mind wandered without her realizing it, filling itself with every potential way of what could go wrong. Silently, she was grateful that the familiar, comforting voice of her sister filled the space once more. “Donna, dear? Are you willing to give her the opportunity to stay with you? I only ask a month of your patience on her behalf.”
“You promise you’ll have her leave if I’m not satisfied with her company by the end of the next month?”
“Yes, of course.”
“Cazzo,” she whispered under her breath, tilting her head away from the phone to hide her words further. Suppressing a small groan, Donna nodded her head, though she knew her sister couldn’t see her. “Fine, she has one month. Be prepared to have one of your carriages sent here by then.” A soft, satisfied hum escaped Alcina’s lips in response. “I’ll have one prepared in case things go awry, but I assure you that you’ll enjoy her company. I hardly wanted her to leave myself, which is why I’m entirely confident that the only reason I’ll need to see her again is when my daughters and I come to visit during the summer months. They’ll be thrilled to see her again either way.”
“If we’re done with this conversation, I’ll have to hang up. Since there was no warning that this girl would be showing up on my doorstep, I’ve made no plans on what she’s to do around here. I’ll have to come up with a few things as I go.” “Yes, I understand. I’ll call you again next month to check in and see how things are going. Does that sound alright with you?”
“Yes. Goodbye, Alcina.”
“Thank you, Donna,” was her only reply before Donna placed the phone down, refraining every part of herself that wanted to shatter it and toss the remains far away.
Just above, she winced at still being able to hear the shrillness in Angie’s voice, and she knew she’d have to join you and the mouthy doll soon enough. To give herself a moment to breathe and steel her nerves, she took the time to straighten out her veil and suck in a deep breath. It took more effort than she would’ve liked to admit to force her legs to carry her back to the lift and not collapse beneath her as she stepped inside, turning hesitantly to tap the arrow and send herself back to the main floor.
When she arrived, Angie was already making her way to the elevator door, cackling as she tugged your hand so you’d follow her. “Donna, the silly girl told me she knows how to play piano! Isn’t that great? Now you’ll have someone else to sit with you and keep you company while you make new friends!” Scowling down at the doll, Donna shook her head, though she didn’t have a chance to speak before you did.
“Angie,” you started, chuckling at the doll’s antics, “I don’t want to impose on anything. I’m sure she’d prefer your company over mine. She seems far more comfortable with you.” Somehow, in the short amount of time you had been left alone with her, you had managed to get on Angie’s good side, which was made evident when you crouched down and lifted the doll into your arms. A smile painted your lips, even as you looked back at Donna.
“Now that you’re back, I was wondering what you’d like me to do around the house. I’m willing to do whatever you need.” Taking some time to think of what needed to be done, Donna made a small motion with her hand, silently asking you to follow her back into the small study. Angie, once you were close enough to the sofa, leaped out of your arms and landed on one of the cushions, excitedly bouncing up and down and causing you to chuckle again.
The Lady sauntered to the desk tucked on the far wall and slid the top drawer open. Her hand dipped into the small drawer and plucked a sheet of paper from a stack, as well as a pen, which she then placed onto the surface of the desk, pushing the drawer until it closed. As you wandered over to join her, she scribbled out a list of chores for you to do, adding a small note at the base of the sheet. When she turned and handed it to you, your eyes immediately scanned over her neat handwriting, specifically the words formed at the bottom. ‘Under no circumstances will you go to the basement.’
She stayed there, standing rigid as a board and staring at you expectantly. “Thank you, my Lady,” you suddenly blurted, that gleeful smile never faltering. Surprised, she blinked. She had partially expected you to question why the basement was off limits, then reminded herself yet again of all you had likely witnessed at her sister’s. “I’ll get started right away. Angie,” some part of her felt disheartened when you turned away to plant your focus back on the small doll still hopping on the sofa.
“Will you be keeping Lady Beneviento company?” From behind her veil, Donna’s eye shot over to Angie, awaiting her answer. “Nah,” the small doll replied, stilling her movements on the cushion and making a dismissive motion with her hand. “I’ve got to make sure you do everything right, after all! Besides, Donna has her other friends to keep her company.” “Other friends?” “The other dolls, silly girl!”
“Oh, I see. I’ll have to meet them sometime.” Donna couldn’t resist clenching her jaw tightly at your words. “Are you mocking her?” Angie accused, now speaking for Donna as she crossed her arms. “No, of course not,” you answered truthfully. It didn’t seem you noticed how thick the tension had grown. If you had, you certainly didn't pay it any mind. “Dolls can be friends. I’d be happy to meet them someday, if you’d allow me to, my Lady.” You turned to her again, and she couldn’t help but fall motionless at the sincerity in your eyes.
You truly weren’t mocking her.
There was no hint of judgment or sarcasm in your tone, nor did it seem like you were saying it out of duress. You were being honest.
Unsure of how to respond, she could only offer you a simple nod, one that would’ve gone unnoticed if you hadn’t been staring directly at her.
Again, you smiled at her without a shred of fear, another gesture she would have to grow used to.
“Ill get started now. Is there anything specific you’d like me to prepare for dinner?” At that, Angie shook her head rapidly. “No, no, Donna will cook, not you!” A little puzzled, you looked over at the doll-maker yet again. “Would you prefer to cook?” Another wordless nod was sent your way. “Okay, well… in that case, I’m excited to see what you’ll make.”
Then you left the room, still cradling Angie in your arms and entertaining her endless banter. With the list clasped in your hand, you began working around the house, cleaning, tidying, and organizing everything you were instructed to. By the time dinner was served, it was clear you were exhausted, though you made no comment on it. Instead, you were given a plate of one of Donna’s favorite dishes to prepare, left to eat it on your own accord in the dining room.
Donna, still adjusting to the idea of having someone else in the house with her, insisted she’d eat alone in her workshop down in the basement, which was still off limits to you.
Angie was there to keep you company and let Donna know what was happening. The doll-maker couldn’t bite back her prideful grin when you raved about how delicious her cooking was, cleaning your plate off in record time. You were visibly relieved and excited when you learned that she would be cooking every meal herself.
This routine continued over the next month. You’d be given a new list of chores to do for the day, meet briefly with Donna in the kitchen until breakfast, lunch, or dinner was ready, eat alone in the dining room, then carry on with your duties until you were finished. A few days in, Donna had taken notice of how quickly you managed to complete your given tasks, watching with curiosity as you tried to create ways to entertain yourself.
Angie wasn’t always there with you to keep you company, so you had to find new things to do on your own without overstepping your bounds. It didn’t take long before Donna gave you free reign of everywhere but the basement. You were allowed to pick any book you could find throughout the house, could prepare your own snacks in the kitchen, could watch a film if you desired, you were allowed to do pretty much anything once you were finished working for the day.
Donna had forgotten about her scheduled call with Alcina, hardly even giving it a second thought at first when she heard her sister’s voice over the phone. “Donna, dear, how have things been?” Humming, the doll-maker shrugged to herself. “Things have been good here. How are things with you?” “I’m doing well, thank you.”
A long, drawn out silence followed, one in which Donna grew increasingly confused. Finally, Alcina cleared her throat, audibly expectant of something specific from her younger sister. “Well? Do I need to send for her?”
“Hm? Send for who?”
An exasperated sigh greeted her. “The girl, Donna. The maid I sent to you a month ago?”
“Oh, yes, of course. Her.”
“Do I need to send for her?”
She paused, staring blankly at the ground. Off and on throughout the weeks, she had been preparing herself to scold her sister for even having the idea in the first place. She thought of the few choice words she would sneer at her as she snarled out her demands to make you leave at once. The entirety of the past month had been expected to be a living hell, though after she thought to herself for a moment, she realized that hadn’t been the reality at all.
You had been incredibly helpful, never failing to be courteous and respectful with the special charm only you seemed to have. The manor had never been so clean, not even when Donna was a child and still had her parents to help out around the house. No matter how strenuous it was, you ensured you’d clean every part of each room from top to bottom, never missing a spot.
Angie had grown to like you on top of everything, which was a hard goal to achieve. Not once had you treated the doll unfairly. You always joined in on her tea parties, kept her company when Donna needed to be alone, cracked jokes without scolding her for her unruly sense of humor, and overall treated her kindly.
Kind. That’s what you were.
Even towards Donna herself, you never seemed to hold any sense of resentment or disregard for her comfort or security. You’d learned to read her body language alone to know if she was in the mood for chatting, and even on the rare occurrence where she voiced her own thoughts without using Angie, you didn’t pressure her to say more when she fell silent. There was an understanding, it seemed, one that didn’t need to be pointed out to know it was shared.
She was insecure, that much was obvious. Still, you were as patient with her as you were with Angie, and that was something she’d never be able to understand. She was appreciative of how you treated her – seeing her as who she is rather than fearing her every move. In the beginning, she had grown nauseated at the idea of someone convincing you to leave her each time you left to retrieve supplies from the village.
She didn’t understand why she was so anxious over the possibility of you leaving because of her. After all, she was the one who had been on the verge of begging Alcina to take you away. It seemed you had grown on her in such a short amount of time. It was a hard thing to admit to herself, especially as she stood in that hallway on the phone, but she liked you. She enjoyed your company, regardless of the fact she rarely had the courage to speak with you on her own.
She didn’t want you to leave. She couldn’t let you.
“Donna?”
Forcing a small shaky breath to steady herself, Donna was brought back to the present at the sound of her sister’s voice. “No, you won’t need to send for her.”
Alcina chuckled on the other side of the line. “I told you you’d enjoy her company. She’s quite a sweet girl, isn’t she?”
“Sweet, yes. She’s very kind, even to Angie,” Donna murmured, ensuring her voice lowered itself for the last comment. Another gentle laugh greeted her ear. “Well, take good care of her for me, will you? She’s very dear to my daughters, as well as myself. It will be quite a hard task to find a maid as valued as her.” A soft smile graced the doll-maker’s lips. It was rather calming to know her sister thought so highly of you. It lowered the chance of you somehow ending up hurt if you ever joined her on a trip to the castle.
“I promise you she’ll be happy here,” was her reply, voice thick with reassurance and sincerity.
And she kept true to her word, constantly finding new ways to keep you content and even opening herself up to you. It surely took time, however. You hadn’t been given the opportunity to see her face uncovered until you had already lived there for two years. She had led you into her workshop in the basement, requesting for you to tidy things up after she had realized she had neglected the cleanliness of the room for too long.
As you cleaned, Donna returned to her projects, propping up a doll and a few pieces of cloth. A small notebook laid beside the doll, filled with different measurements she’d need for its clothing. It only took a few minutes before you heard her cursing under her breath. When you turned from the desk you had been dusting, you found her holding the notebook almost taut against her veiled face, clearly struggling to read what she had written.
“Lady Beneviento, are you alright?” You had asked, cautiously moving to stand beside the table she was standing at. Her head perked up, turning to you as if she hadn’t realized she had spoken aloud. “Yes,” she stammered, glancing back down at the small notepad, “I’m just used to putting my veil away while I work here. It’s why I haven’t let you down here with me before. I’m afraid I can’t see my writing very well with it on.” A nod was your reply, though you eventually moved to tidy up the desk again.
“Well,” you started, turning away, “you’re still free to take your veil off, of course. Please don’t let my presence here with you stop you from working comfortably.” She shook her head, more to herself than you. “I’m afraid I can’t do that. I’d only scare you away with the hideous monstrosity I hide.” “I can assure you, my Lady, you won’t scare me. I’ve seen horrendous things both in Lady Dimitrescu’s and Lord Moreau’s domains. Besides, if you’re anything like your portrait by the stairs, I highly doubt you have a hideous monstrosity hidden away beneath that veil. You must be just as beautiful.”
Although she stood dumbfounded at your blunt choice of words for what felt like an eternity, you were soon greeted with a scoff. “You’re a fool to believe such a thing. You know nothing of me.” You turned to her then. Seeing the look of pure confusion and what seemed like betrayal contorting your features nearly made her regret her words instantly. “But… Lady Beneviento, I do know you. These past two years–”
“Stai zitto.”
Your small journey to return to her side was cut short at her harsh tone. Such a plain-spoken phrase, laced purely with a concoction of venom and insecurity. You couldn’t bring yourself to move any closer. “All you know of who I am has come solely from those wretched villagers who smear my name through the mud at every given opportunity. They’ve painted a portrait of me, and it’s been glazed over time and time again with their harsh judgment. That portrait is not me, nor is the one you claim to find beautiful.”
Her breathing grew ragged as she spoke, voice leaping in volume as she recalled every rumor that found its way floating through the village like a fog. A short moment passed before she had to drop the notebook onto the table. Her hands were shaking far too violently for her to hold it comfortably.
“Cazzo,” she hissed, clutching at her palms and squeezing them tightly together in a futile attempt to steady them. Finally regaining your courage, you stepped forward, placing a hand on her shoulder only for it to be slapped away. “Non toccarmi!” With your hands held up in surrender, you allowed yourself a brief moment to choose your words carefully. “Please, my Lady, listen to me.”
A mocking laugh met your words, Donna now turned to you with her arms crossed. You could see how her nails dug into her sleeves and skin to a painful degree. “I have no reason to listen to you,” she retorted coldly. “I know that, my Lady, but I’m only asking for a short amount of your time. Will you hear me out?”
Had you been able to see past her veil, you would’ve seen how her eye narrowed as it focused on you – would’ve seen her brow furrowing deeply and creasing her skin – and you would’ve seen her lips pulling themselves tightly back into a scowl. Regardless of being unable to see such things riddling her face, you could tell from her tense figure that she was truly uncomfortable. Even so, when she made no effort to decline again, you parted your lips to speak once again.
“I know you must think that I’ve followed and believed every rumor there is out in the village related to you, but I assure you I’ve never paid any mind to such unnecessary lies. I’ve seen you, and I’ve seen how you treat others, even if Angie is the one to speak for you. During my time at the castle, I was able to watch when you’d spend time with Lady Dimitrescu or her daughters. It was clear there was some tension with your sister whenever you’d speak to her about your meetings with Mother Miranda, but you always treated her kindly.
“I couldn’t understand why the other maids feared you each time you’d come to visit. I still don’t understand. You’re everything the villagers claimed you aren’t. You’re a kind soul, my Lady, and you’ve only continued to show me that with every passing day I’ve stayed here. When I grew bored after finishing my tasks for the day, you and Angie would help me find a way to entertain myself. You’ve provided me with shelter, food, security, and a type of friendship I’d never thought I’d find.” Slowly, you took her hands from her arms and cradled them in your own, watching as the pads of your thumbs grazed soothingly over the backs of her knuckles. She stiffened, though she didn’t pull away.
“I promise you that, regardless of whatever you may think is bad enough to keep hidden even in the safety of your own home, I will never judge you for who you truly are. There’s nothing you could do to make me turn away from you.” Silence became tension once again, though you weren’t sure if it was caused by your words or your close proximity to the doll-maker.
You didn’t pull away, instead standing there and waiting for any kind of reply from her, even if she were to shove you away. Surprise flooded your senses when you felt her hands finally shift in yours to comfortably squeeze them back in return. “You’re an incredibly naive woman,” she mumbled, though there was only affection in her voice. It was clear she was smiling as she spoke. You smiled back at her.
Hesitating, you wondered if it would be acceptable for you to ask her to remove her veil. As though she could hear your thoughts, she slipped her hands out from yours, lifting them to her veil and toying with the hem. When she paused, you glanced back up at her with curiosity. “Would you mind turning around for a moment?” You nodded and obeyed instantly without a word, turning on your heel and waiting patiently for her to let you turn her way again.
It only took a moment for her to shuffle a bit behind you before you were granted permission to face her. When you did, you smiled at the sight of her veil pinned partially away from her face, only revealing half of the same face you saw each day when you’d pass her portrait.
“I was right. You’re beautiful.”
You had managed to gain enough of her trust for her to reveal the healthier side of herself, though it took even longer to see that part of her consistently. Another two years flashed by. You had grown rather close to Donna, so much so that you were finally allowed to address her by her name, and she sat you down in her room one night for a talk. It was then that the whole of her veil was finally removed and set aside. Putting every bit of her trust in you in that moment, she showed you the worst part of her – the part she despised the most.
She had expected anything but the reaction you had. As she built up her courage over time, she had imagined you losing every ounce of color in your face, your skin growing clammy. She pictured you screaming or groaning in utter disgust. She even envisioned you treating her like the monster she was and running for your life, leaving her all alone again.
But you did none of those things. You smiled at her so kindly, and it was a shock to her system to see the adoration in your eyes only grow at the sight of her. “My god,” you whispered, lifting your hands and cradling her face in them without hesitation. It was impossible for her to hide the crimson reddening her face at your actions, affection still an entirely foreign concept to her. “You’re just as stunning as I figured, Donna.”
A quiet laugh escaped her as she shook her head as much as she could in your hold. “I’ll never understand how you find everything beautiful.”
Even as she protested against how genuine you were being, some part of her finally felt at ease. She had shown you her biggest vulnerability, and you were still desperate to stay by her side. Each time she took her veil off in your company, you were nothing but positive, tossing out compliment after compliment in her direction.
Soon, she could be found lingering around the house as she worked, lacking her veil on most days. She’d tug it back on if the Dimitrescus came for a visit or if she had another family meeting with Mother Miranda and her siblings, but she found it far too comfortable when she was alone with you to hide herself away. With time, her trust in you grew alongside her endearment, and it didn’t take long for her to understand what her feelings for you were. She denied them for months, but Angie eventually scolded her for being so cowardly, expressing her annoyance with seeing just how hopeless Donna was on her own.
She spent time – weeks leading to months – trying to conjure up a plan on how she could let you know of her feelings. There were so many things she wanted to try, wanting to ensure her confession was genuine and romantic.
However, none of those plans came to light. Her feelings were made known purely by chance.
You had invited her to watch a movie that Angie had picked out from the Duke’s cart. She accepted with glee, thrilled just as she always was when you made an effort to include her in your plans. With her help, you set up the film and flipped on the projector before planting yourself on the sofa and making yourself comfortable. Donna watched fondly as you bundled up underneath a soft blanket and grabbed the bowl of popcorn you and Angie had prepared ahead of time.
With a smile, she joined you on the couch, albeit leaving a few inches of space between you to avoid coming across as too bold. She let herself lean against the back of the sofa, resting her head against the cushioning with a content sigh as her gaze focused forward on the film. As the movie progressed, you shared a few words with her, though – much to Angie’s dismay – it quickly turned into playful banter, something that had become a common occurrence.
Already knowing where things were headed, Angie snuck out of the room without notice. At one point, Donna moved closer with one of her teasing remarks, her hand sliding to you and resting on your hip without much thought. You didn’t refuse her touch, nor did you seem uncomfortable. You seemed rather inviting with her affection. You made it clear that you didn’t mind when you pulled her into your arms and practically cocooned her with the blanket.
She yelped in surprise at first, but you both burst into fits of giggles immediately after. Her laughter settled before yours, and she was left to gaze up at you, eye stricken with so much love that she was sure you could see hearts in it. Her smile was warm when you calmed yourself and stared back down at her. Curiosity sparked in her for a moment, wondering if you could feel her heart hammering heavily against her ribs as clearly as she could hear it in her ears, though it was diminished and replaced with the all-too-familiar feeling of need and desperation.
No other words had to be shared, she knew. It was clear from the small gleam in your eyes that you were needing her just as badly as she needed you in that moment. Surprisingly keeping her composure, Donna leaned up until she hovered above you, leaving you to feel her breath on your lips as they brushed against hers. One look back at you let her know everything was okay, and she finally allowed herself to close the gap, sighing in satisfaction at the feeling of being so close to you.
Every urge and ounce of desperation for intimacy that had built up over the years finally melted away peacefully that night and was instead replaced by the love that swelled up in her heart. As you laid in her arms, head resting against her bare chest as you slowly caught your breath again, she tilted her head down and pressed another feather-like kiss to the top of your head. When you turned to look up at her, she smiled.
“I love you.”
The next several days that followed, those three words were shared between you and Donna on a near-constant basis. They were heard so frequently that Angie insisted she carry a blanket or pillow around to cover her ears with, whining each time you or the doll-maker made a flirty or corny comment to the other. Donna had essentially attached herself to your side, always wanting to be where you were and vice versa. When you’d end up alone in a separate room, it wouldn’t take long for her to find you and join you in whatever you were doing.
A week after her confession, she’d unwillingly headed off to another family meeting. You had to convince her that morning to get up for the day. She clung to you in bed, groaning and whining anytime you tried to pull away, until you ultimately managed to wake her up properly with the promises of those kisses she adored so much. Reluctantly, she got dressed after a quick shower and wandered downstairs with you, where you peppered her face in kisses before helping her put her veil on, watching with a smile as Angie hopped into her arms once she made it to the front door.
You waved goodbye to her as she left, then returned to bed to rest for a while longer. After waking up only a couple of hours later, you trudged to the lift, then across the house until you made it into the kitchen, which only caused your stomach to growl loudly in anticipation. Rummaging through the cabinets and pantry resulted in you finding a small box of pasta and several herbs and spices to add to it. It didn’t take long to collect everything you needed before you found yourself standing by the stove, chopping up your chosen ingredients with a practiced ease.
After accumulating everything onto the small cutting board, you shifted carefully to the stovetop, where you then began scraping the chopped up herbs into the pot of boiling water, then placed the board to the side as you grabbed the spices and sprinkled them in.
Shortly after setting the pasta into the pot, you heard the front door open and shut. Immediately after, Angie’s quick footsteps echoed throughout the house until they eventually vanished upstairs. You hummed and smiled to yourself. She was most likely looking for you. “Tesoro?” Donna’s voice called out gently, helping you realize she was still by the front door. Heavier but slower footsteps were heard rounding the corner and nearing the entrance to the kitchen, ones in which you recognized right away. You turned to look at her when she walked in, smiling gleefully when you saw her veil had already been removed, fully allowing you to see how her eye lit up and her lips tugged upwards into a smile at the sight of you.
“Hey,” you whispered, voice still thick with fatigue. “You’re home.” She nodded, sauntering to stand behind you and plant her hands firmly on your hips, leaning forward to let her lips graze over the side of your neck. “I missed you,” she murmured against your skin, smiling when you chuckled. “You were only gone for a couple of hours.” “Yes, but I wasn’t exactly thrilled to leave this morning, if you recall. Those damned meetings are never useful anyway. I’m not sure why Mother Miranda insists we have them. It always just ends with Alcina and Karl arguing.”
Humming in thought, you slipped your hands down to rest on top of hers, briefly lifting one to peck the backs of her knuckles before lowering it to rest on your hip again. “Well, it’s over now, so you can relax again. You’re home.”
A sigh slipped past her lips as she moved to pull you back until you rested comfortably against her front, allowing her to wrap her arms around you properly. Again, her face returned to hide in the comfort of your skin, her lips pressed gently against your shoulder. Far before you ever arrived at her home, she had gone to countless family meetings, all of which ended the same: returning to the manor with a throbbing headache that she would have to deal with all alone.
She supposed she owed thanks to her older sister for introducing you into her life. Next time, she promised herself, she would tell her how grateful she was, but for now, she only wanted to cradle you in her arms and let all the stress and tension from the day melt away. You were the very thing that made this place a home – you were her home. Never again would she have to worry about isolation, nor would she dread returning to the estate each time she left, the cold, empty silence a long-forgotten memory now that she had you.
Humming, she hid herself further against you, allowing her eye to fall shut as she took in everything about you that never failed to bring her comfort and peace. She nodded.
“Yes. Now that I have you in my arms again, I am.”

Then There Will Be
Category: F/F
Fandom: Biohazard | Resident Evil (Gameverse)
Relationship: Mother Miranda/Mia Winters
Characters: Mother Miranda (Resident Evil) Mia Winters The Four Lords (Resident Evil)
The cold white tiles and harsh lights of The Connections' lab stung Miranda’s eyes. As she was led to the lab by a staff member, she wasn’t really paying attention to his introduction of the organization. Her mind was solely focused on getting to the lab and conducting her research to bring back her true daughter.
The staff led Miranda to the end of the hallway, where she recorded her fingerprint on a scanner by the lab door to unlock it, as instructed. The new lab was several times larger than the basement she had in the village, equipped with dedicated rooms for chemicals, samples, and various precision instruments.
Miranda looked the lab equipment with approval. Then she turned to the staff and asked, "Is there anything else I need to know? Other than the documentation and samples you'll provide me with shortly?"
The staff member found it difficult to understand why this taciturn scientist had such an intense presence. "Yes, we’ve arranged for a researcher to assist you with your experiments."
Miranda raised an eyebrow. "Does this researcher understand what my research’s about? I consider it a very... personal matter." She bent down, carefully observing the activity of a mold sample.
"Rest assured, besides our boss, only she and Dr. Droney know the details of your project." The staff member said, glancing toward the door where a figure stood. He then addressed Miranda, "Dr. Miranda, she’s here."
Miranda straightened up and looked at the doorway. A woman stood there, her hair a similar color to Miranda's past self and the present scientist Miranda, perhaps a slightly lighter shade of black, with shoulder-length curls that fell over her chest. She was shorter and slimmer than Miranda, but with her sharp judgment, Miranda could tell that the woman wasn’t as fragile as she appeared.
The researcher walked directly into Miranda's lab and reached out her right hand. "Mia Winters, a pleasure to meet you, Dr. Miranda."
“Greetings, Mia,” said Miranda, just two words. After five seconds, the strange silence in the air finally caught her attention. She realized she should shake the new researcher's hand with her hand. Feeling uncomfortable with the gesture, Miranda quickly pulled her hand back afterward, without really thinking about what she'd done.
Mia hesitated briefly, surprised by Miranda’s odd behavior, but quickly recovered and continued her greeting, "I'll be working with you for a while. I'm not an expert in biochemistry, but I can assist you, and... handle some unnecessary trouble."
"Unnecessary trouble?" Miranda asked, puzzled.
"You know, sometimes test subjects have issues. I'm quite good at preventing those things from happening." Mia hinted.
Miranda's instinct was correct. Mia Winters did indeed have the capability to deal with failed test subjects. Though Miranda herself could easily handle such matters without breaking a sweat, she was not in her village. So, she smiled and said, "Welcome to my lab, Mia."
---
Miranda accepted the coffee Mia handed her. Having another assistant by her side was something she was certainly not used to. She remembered how, fifty or sixty years ago, her student Spencer left Romania because of their ideological differences. Since then, she hadn’t taken on another assistant. Few people truly understood her ultimate goal. Perhaps Alcina did, but she had her three daughters, through whom she found a connection. Miranda, however, never felt the same bond with any of her "children" as she did with Eva. Miranda convinced herself that they were merely vessels, but she couldn’t ignore the glimpses of her own life with her daughter that she saw in the Dimitrescu family. Those fragments pieced together the warmth of the days from nearly a century ago.
"Dr. Miranda? Miranda?" A gentle voice called her back from her memories.
"Hmm?"
"The sample you put in the centrifuge is ready. You can check it now."
"Alright." Miranda tucked a strand of hair behind her ear.
"You always seem to drift into deep thought." Mia remarked as she watched Miranda walk into the equipment room.
"It's nothing. I just like to think about things while working. It helps me focus." Miranda replied, opening the lid of the centrifuge.
"I feel the same sometimes. When you're doing something you love, your mind tends to wander, doesn’t it?" Mia said, leaning against the doorframe and watching Miranda carefully take out the centrifuge tubes.
"Maybe." Miranda replied. She wasn't sure whether she truly enjoyed these tedious experiments, but they were too meaningful to ignore, demanding a century of her time without pause.
---
Eleven at night, Mia handed Miranda the organized data. Watching Miranda intently review the figure, Mia quietly asked, “Miranda, don’t you need to take a break? Every morning when I arrive, you're already here, and every night when I leave, you're still here. Have you even been home?”
Miranda turned and sat at the lab stool, picking up a pen and scribbling notes on the documents, vaguely responding to Mia’s concern. "Hmm? Home? Of course, I've been home. My Lords and villagers all know I’ll be away for a while."
“Not your village, I mean your apartment here. Wow, the way you talk about your hometown makes it sound like you’re not that close to your neighbors.” Mia remarked, once again finding Miranda rather strange. Perhaps she’d been overworking.
It wasn’t until then that Miranda realized what she had just said. A thin layer of sweat formed on her forehead, but since her back was turned to Mia, she had enough time to calm her rising panic. She followed, “Yes, I’m not particularly close with them.” That much wasn’t a lie. “Mia, it’s late. You should head home. You must have noticed you're spending more and more time in the lab each day.”
“Long enough to realize you never take a proper rest.”
“That’s not what I meant.” Miranda set her pen down and swiveled on the stool to face Mia. “Even though this experiment is important to me, there’s no need for you to stay here so long on my account.”
“I know about Eva,” Mia said softly, lowering her head as she looked sadly at Miranda, whose blue eyes quickly filled with grief. “I’m so sorry, Miranda. I’ve never mentioned it before because I didn’t want to bring up painful memories, but I know you’ve never really moved on. I’ve heard you were absorbed in trying to bring Eva back even before you came to The Connections. And now that you’ve found new hope here, your dedication has only intensified. I can’t imagine how you maintain that drive, I can’t fully understand it, but I urge you to think about yourself for once. Maybe go to your apartment and get some sleep, or return to your village. Even if you’re not close to your neighbors, the mountain air would do you some good. If not, there’s actually a rest area behind the equipment room with a small bed. I guess you’ve forgotten it.”
Mia left the lab. Miranda stood from her stool and walked toward the equipment room. Sure enough, there was a door in the corner. Miranda must have opened it when she first arrived at the lab, but she’d quickly forgotten about it, as its contents hadn’t interested her at the time.
Miranda opened the door for the second time, and inside was indeed a small bed. There wasn’t any dust on it, indicating that Mia often rested there. A small porcelain pot sat on the windowsill, holding a plump lithops plant that was clearly well cared for.
On the nightstand, there were two glasses, one of them labeled “Mia”.
Miranda took off her lab coat and poured herself a cup of water with the other glass. She didn’t need sleep, so she simply lay on the bed, quietly reflecting. Her thoughts went first to Eva. There wasn’t a moment she didn’t think of her daughter. She recalled how earlier that day, she had smiled to herself, thinking of Eva, and wondered if Mia had noticed from the other end of the lab. It was a memory of five-year-old Eva mimicking the sounds of various animals, from chickens to pigs to goats and even crows, each imitation spot-on. Miranda had laughed as she scooped little Eva into her arms and set her on her lap, encouraging her to continue recounting her exciting adventures of the day.
Miranda tried to blur the memories of the Spanish flu outbreak, but it was clear she could never escape those dark days. One by one, her neighbors had died, and then misfortune had struck the only person she held dear. But the misfortune never came for her, nor did fortune, not until the day she buried Eva.
After that, she became the center of power. The faces of the villagers flashed through her mind like a carousel, along with the series of failed vessels. Then there was this white laboratory, and Mia.
Miranda told herself it was merely because Mia didn’t know about her status in the village and viewed her as an ordinary person which Miranda found novel. It wasn’t because Mia held any special significance to her.
---
Miranda told Mia that she planned to return to her hometown for a week of rest. Upon hearing the news, Mia could barely contain her excitement, she nearly hugged Miranda, though she stopped when Miranda stiffened in place.
Miranda changed back into her black robe. She descended to the basement and switched on the lights. The dim laboratory momentarily disoriented her. Ancient books lay scattered across the table, and the Cadou pulsed rhythmically inside its container. Everything on the shelves was arranged just as before, and the photo of her and Eva remained in its place, slowly fading with time.
Miranda pulled out a new photo and placed it on the shelf. It was a group photo with The Connections team, a symbol of her new hope. Strangely, the photo was in black and white, though Miranda didn’t pay attention to that oddity. What she did notice, however, was Mia smiling in the picture.
After filing away the data she had brought from The Connections lab, Miranda didn’t stand at her bench as she usually would. Instead, she sat on her bed and opened her diary.
May 9, 2010
Mia Winters suggested I take some time to rest at home, and I followed her advice. I rarely allow anyone this close to me, but she hasn’t made me uncomfortable. In fact, she’s been a great help with my research.
I hope we can bring Eva back.
Wait, did she just write "we"?
The villagers noticed that Mother Miranda was less strict when conveying the Black God's will in the church. When they shared the current situation in the village with her, she seemed absent-minded.
The Lords picked up on this during their meeting as well. She didn’t admonish Heisenberg when he called her "Miranda" directly without using her title, until Alcina criticized him, causing tensions to escalate between the two. It was only when Angie chimed in with a sharp "fight, fight" that Miranda snapped back to reality, reminded of her current predicament.
---
A week later, Miranda returned to The Connections lab. Mia handed her a cup of coffee, looking cheerful as usual. “Welcome back, Miranda. Good morning.”
“Good morning, Mia.” Miranda said with a smile as she took the cup.
“It’s clear that the week off did you good. You probably won’t accidentally drink the nutrient solution from the beaker as water again.” Mia teased, giving Miranda a playful grin, to which Miranda could only chuckle helplessly.
“Speaking of which, the mold colony report from the week you were gone is ready.” Mia led Miranda to the computer and opened the monitoring system, showing her the recent research on the E-type mold. “Out of two hundred samples, one hundred in the control group without Cadou did not produce any fully formed organisms. They remain in loose colony forms within the culture medium. Five of them exhibited some human traits, like sample 23, which developed humanoid palms, and sample 57, which produced teeth, but with sharp dentalcrowns, resembling a beast rather than a human arc.”
“In the experimental group with Cadou, all one hundred samples were more active than the control group. You can see them pulsing rhythmically, similar to human blood flowing through the colonies. Seventeen of the samples have developed mostly humanoid structures, though they are still covered in thick mold.”
Miranda pointed to one of the samples. “Sample 119 looks more active than the others, the mold is moving across it more quickly.”
“Exactly. It should be the most successful one. I examined its physical structure and found that its limbs are slenderer and its mouth is smaller, with a hyoid bone appearing in the throat.” Mia explained.
Miranda felt a surge of excitement and instinctively placed her hand on Mia’s shoulder. “Do you think sample 119 could be...”
“Are you thinking of sequencing its DNA?” Mia anticipated Miranda's thoughts.
Miranda nodded.
Mia skillfully assisted Miranda in extracting the “blood” sample, placing the processed samples into the expensive instrument.
“We just need to wait a day.” Mia said.
“Thank you, Mia.” Miranda offered Mia a warm smile.
The lab felt particularly warm that day, perhaps summer was approaching. Miranda sat on the bed in the small room, spending the hour before the results were due, contemplating every possibility.
Mia appeared in the doorway, leaning against the frame. “You don’t need to be so nervous. We all saw how successful it was, the compatibility must be high.”
“I know, I know, Mia.” Miranda lowered her hand, which had been anxiously touching her cheeks, and looked up at Mia. “I’m glad everything is progressing positively, I’m just worrying about the future.”
“Worrying about the future? You just said the experiment will go well.” Mia asked, puzzled.
“It’s not about the experiment. I’m worried about life after all this ends,” Miranda sighed. “You know my life has revolved solely around Eva. I rarely pay attention to the trivialities of my life and other matters.”
“You’re worried that after everything succeeds, you won’t be able to adjust to that kind of life?” Mia walked in and sat down beside Miranda.
“Yes, my life has changed so much compared to years ago. I’m concerned I won’t be able to return to a normal routine with Eva. I don’t know what path to choose.”
“Do you want to take her back to your village?” Mia asked gently.
“I don’t know. That would bring about significant changes. Everything in the village would be very... different.” Miranda thought about the order she had worked hard to establish nearly a century ago. Would it all crumble with Eva’s return?
Mia was unaware of Miranda’s true background, she could only assume that the villagers would view a person’s resurrection as a miracle, which would undoubtedly shock them. In fact, it just required advanced scientific technology and relentless effort. “I think they will gradually come to understand everything. Many unusual events happen in our world, but everything calms down over time.” Mia placed her hand gently on Miranda’s back. “Eva’s mother is a powerful woman. I can’t believe she has such strong willpower to face all of this.”
Miranda turned to look into Mia’s eyes and, for the first time, noticed that her eyes weren’t entirely brown, they had a ring of deep green around the edges. “And you’ve been here with me through all of this.”
“You just need someone by your side.” Mia said, sensing the warmth emanating from Miranda, subtle yet noticeable only up close.
“And that someone is you.” Miranda reached out and took her hand, her thumb lightly resting on the back of Mia’s hand.
“Miranda, are you shaking my hand?” Mia suddenly laughed.
“Hmm? No, how come?”
“When we first met, you shook my hand like this. If you hadn’t done it so forcefully and quickly, and hadn’t bent down, I might have thought you were going to kiss my hand like those gentlemen of old.” Mia teased.
A blush crept up Miranda’s pale ears, as she completely forgot those details.
“To save you from this embarrassment, we can check the results now.” Mia said, pulling Miranda to her feet.
“Match compatibility with Eva's DNA reaches 93.87%. Miranda, you did it!” Mia leaned down and hugged Miranda, who was sitting in front of the screen.
Miranda reached out and hugged Mia back. “Yes, we did it.”

Batcina AU - Part III
Part I, Part II, Part IV
This is technically the last part I've planned for this AU since I want to write others. However, if you want to see a particular scenario for this universe, you are free to request it!
Tumblr media
It takes months for Alcina to have the possibility to go and do what she actually wants instead of following an agenda that isn't hers.
She had been surpised when, at her return, didn't find the castle in shambles. It felt too good to be truth so just to be on the safe side she had made her way to the other Lord's home. Thankfully with her abilities, she didn't need to interact with them directly to find out if they were alive.
Nevertheless, Alcina decided that the best thing to do is to tell Mother Miranda what had transpired in the last weeks. The only thing that Alcina doesn't mention during her tale is you.
She doesn't want Mother Miranda to know about you for some reason, even when she usually tells her everything.
Mother Miranda comes to the conclusion that Alcina must have killed a decent amount of humans to cause an impact into their plan, big enough to make them retract for the time being.
However, not risking it, Mother Miranda still decides to warn the other Lords about a possible future attack. She knows how humans can be and she doesn't want to lose any of her pawns before she achieves her goal.
Alcina tries to focus on her daily tasks, to go on with her life, but she finds herself lost in thought often, thinking of you, wondering how are you, if you remember her from time to time.
Whenever she realizes what she's doing, she gets annoyed, scolding herself for such weakness.
She might have forgive you and grant you an amnesty so you wouldn't face your demise anytime soon, but that was it. You aren't anything especial, just a human that apparently isn't as awful as the ones she was used to.
Even so, the only thing that is able to distract her from you entirely arrives a few days later, when Mother Miranda gifts her with three corpses and the free card to experiment with them.
It's not unusual for her to experiment, very early on Mother Miranda told her it was going to be one of her duties, but Alcina is the one who looks out for the specimens for it.
Alcina achieves something different this time, and the day she brings them back to life, as mutant humans and not the monsters she usually creates, and her eyes met three pairs, you come back to her mind.
"Is this how it feels caring for someone? It is what they felt while I was under their care?"
She has a purpose now though, so she dedicates enough time to nurture the girls she now calls her daughters, to teach them they were a family and always protect each other and their home before finally giving up to whatever she's feeling instead of trying to ignore it.
And the only way to get the answers to her questions is forcing them out of you.
*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*
In retrospect your life has not changed and nothing bad has happened to you but you simply can't get rid of the unhappy veil that has fallen on you.
There's nothing you can do about it though. Aware it's a mourning period that would pass with time and you simply have to try to be patient with yourself.
A knock on your door pulls you out of your thoughts, causing you to frown because it's not as if you received visits. You don't have friends nor family and whenever a knock was heard, it rarely meant anything good for you.
You stand up to open the door though, knowing it could be worse if you don't, depending who was on the other side.
You face an off-white wall that is shifting softly, and shamefully, it takes you until the clear of a throat to realize it's a person.
You know right away who is after that, and such knowledge speeds up your heartbeat.
Living in this village, you are not a stranger to Mother Miranda and the Lords. You know villagers revere them though you have never being a devouted.
You are aware is mainly out of fear not because they respect or accept what they practice, though there were some exceptions.
But the first and only time you've seen Lady Dimitrescu on the town (before your isolation), your first thought had been "I can understand why some villagers are so devoted, I wouldn't mind worship her."
Her unique height was what draw your attention and fascinated you, but you weren't blind, she was an incredible attractive woman.
Despite the admiration you feel for her, you are apprehensive for the visit. What could you have done wrong for her to come look at you in person?
You have heard what people said about her and the other Lords, the comments whenever you had to go down to the village and even tough you weren't fond of believing rumours just because, you did notice the disappearance of some people over time.
You never actively cared though. Why would you feel bad for the people who never show any kindness to you after they labelled you as a freak?
Deep down, you even considered it like the Universe has sent you a dark guardian angel to punish them for the way they treated you.
"L-Lady Dimitrescu." You bow shakingly. When you straighten up, you look up to make eye contact, not wanting to offend the lady in any way though perhaps what you were doing is much riskier.
Golden eyes are already waiting for yours, and when they lock, you feel a shiver while a familiar sensation washes you over, which confuses you because you two have never had eye contact.
Alcina is convinced that this time when you look at her, your eyes won't reflect the tenderness and affection she had gotten used to. The prospect bothers her but she knows what to expect from a human. So she's is totally taken aback when it doesn't happen.
There's caution in your eyes but not fear, and a glow that makes her feel warm.
You swallow slowly. "It's an honor to have you here, my Lady." You have no idea what's the reason for it, but you are sincere.
Alcina's lips part slightly but she holds back the gasp in the last second. That was different. In her bat form, when you referred to her like that, playfulness covered your words. Now, your voice was full of awe.
All her plans for how this encounter was going to occur suddenly vanished from her head.
She frows. Maybe she should go back to consider your dismiss, it would definitely make things simpler. But the simple idea of killing you, upsets her. "What's your name?"
You blink with bewilderment. Why is she looking out for you if she doesn't know who you are? "[Y/N], my Lady."
Lady Dimitrescu nods once sharply, looking at the surroundings as she tilts her head up regally. "I'm here to thank you for taking care of me a few months ago."
The words don't make any sense to you at first, but when the Lady makes eye contact with you again and the sensation of familiarity repeats itself, your eyes widen with realization.
Alcina smirks, pleased to finally have the upper hand in your interactions instead of the other way around.
When you are capable of react from your shock, you notice Lady Dimitrescu is walking away and without thinking, you head into her direction, doing the most stupid thing you've ever done in your entire life when you are close enough.
You don't count with the strength to make her stop but Alcina stops when your fingers wraps around her wrist, most likely taken aback by your gall.
Torn between amaze and annoyance, she regards you questioningly.
Aware that you are pushing your luck, you let her go, fidgeting with your hands. "Are you okay, my Lady? There is not any aftermath after the attack, is it?"
Alcina's stance softens and she wonders if you are ever going to stop surpising her. "I healed perfectly. Thanks to you."
The words make you blush and it's a sight Alcina relishes so she reaches out to brush your cheek with her thumb, deepening your redness.
"I just did what anyone would have done, my Lady," you whisper.
"We both know that's not true."
You know she's right. For most people it's easier to 'put a creature out of their misery' than taking the trouble and time of look after someone in need.
"Yes well, many humans suffer from a lack of brains." You normally keep your thoughts about people to yourself, so you cover your mouth with both hands when you realize you spoke out loud.
Lady Dimitrescu blinks once, twice and then laughs.
It's a miracle you remain standing when you feel your legs tremble due to the heavenly sound.
The Lady's reaction gives your the courage to ask, "Would you like some tea, my Lady?"
Alcina caresses you other cheek with an amused smile. "All right."
*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*
A routine develops between you two where Alcina comes to visit you at least once a week.
Since your cabin is too small for her to enter, you keep your meetings in the garden just like the first time. Reason why you started to give more attention to it, wanting to look adequate for your Lady, even though she had never mentioned anything to make you think she wasn't pleased with the place.
Lady Dimitrescu asks you questions to know you better and you are pleasently surprised that she allows you to ask too. But there's a line that's unspeakable even though you have never put a boundary ─ she never questions about why you live so far from everything and you never ask about the rumors.
In your case it was because you were certain having a confirmation or a negative wouldn't change things in any way.
You never know the day Lady Dimitrescu will come, but by now, any sound you heard from outside, you expect it's her.
Unfortunately, when you step outside, you encounter a group of men. You are able to recognize some of them but not others.
"Ah, none other than the freak. I should have imagine we wouldn't be so lucky to get rid of you definitely."
A man breaks through among the others but you don't need to see him to know who it is. You'll recognize that voice anywhere since it was the person who started the verbal attacks against you.
It only took a wrongful accusation from his daughter's part for him to start some sort of vendetta.
"You know her?" The man that seems to be the leader since he's at the front of the group asks him without looking away from you.
You grimace which makes your bully laugh. "Every town has a freak, though it seems we were blessed with more than one," he said sarcastically.
"A freak?" He scrutinizes you up and down. "Does she has any connection with her?"
"I think we all agree that that woman is an abomination but at least she has enough class to not get involved with this tasteless thing." He spits on the floor towards your direction.
Are they talking about your Lady? The words they are using are the last you'd use to describe her but it's more than clear that you don't have anything in common with these people.
"There might be a solidarity between freaks," a new voice from the group adds, followed by hoots of support.
"Lady Dimitrescu is not a freak." You know it's stupid to intervene. It's you alone versus at least ten men who only needed the label from one of their group to consider you unnatural and therefore an enemy. But you can't stand there listening them talk about the woman who has showed more interest and caring in you than your own race without doing anything about it.
If you die, at least there's going to be a reason for it.
And by the wrathful looks you receive, you know that's the only possible outcome. There's no opportunity to escape. Even if you are fast enough to go back to your house, it'll be easy for them to break in with the weapons they carried.
The only thing you lament is that you won't spend more time with your Lady.
Alcina is halfway from your house when she focus her hearing on you.
It has become almost instinctively for her to jump from hearing her daughters to you during her days to reassure herself everything's okay with each of you.
It amuses her the contrast between her daughters and you ─ where they are chaotic and loud, you are quiet and calm. Two very different spectrums with the power to soothe her.
However, she notices there's something wrong in an instant, noticing your apprehensive heartbeat followed by a scream that puts her on edge.
She turns into a bat to shorten the distance faster and she's back into her human once she visualizes the cabin, arriving at the moment you are struck on the cheek, hard enough to make you fall onto the ground.
She sees red.
Whenever Alcina fights, she's focused and centered, almost looking like she's involved in a violent dance. Not this time. She's nothing but walking wrath who slashes whatever comes in her way. Her only goal is to get rid of the filth who was foolish enough to come bother you and put a hand on you.
She doesn't want to stop and ask questions, people like that don't deserve a chance. And even though she would have preffered to take her time and make them regret what they did and beg for forgiveness, she wants this over as quickly as possible to make sure you are okay.
After the first hit, you were expecting the next one. There's a graze that makes you shrink on yourself but it doesn't go further.
You remain motionless until the screams startle you and make you look around anxiously.
The commotion only lasts a couple of minutes but it's tricky for you to understand what's happening since you can only see a white blur and the men falling, one by one, to the ground in pieces.
Only when silence falls and Lady Dimitrescu stops moving, her extended claws dripping blood and even a bit of human remains, you finally understand.
Your dark guardian angel indeed.
You don't care she's covered in blood, not bothered what you had just witnessed. You stand up shakingly, the sound drawing Alcina's attention in your direction, who retracts her claws, hoping she hasn't traumatized you for life.
There's a brief moment of hesitation and concern from Alcina's part while you two make eye contact before you run towards her, throwing yourself at her and your Lady is swift to catch you in her arms, pulling you against her body.
Your arms wrap around her neck and you bury your face in the crook of her neck.
You are safe. You know it, and not only of this dangerous situation. You know that now there is someone in your life who cares for you. Someone who is willing to kill for you if necessary. For the first time in years, your body is able to recognize it too, relaxing entirely, which brings tears to your eyes that you are not able to hold back for so long.
"You are safe now, dragă. I'll keep you safe now." She reassures you, closing her eyes as she hugs you and nuzzles the side of your face, needing the comfort of your presence.
You sniff, tightening your arms around her while you nod. You suddenly chuckle. "I saved you first and now you saved me." You pull back to look at her but without breaking the hug. Not that Alcina would have allowed it since her hold doesn't falters.
She smiles amused. "Indeed we did." She turns serious. "Though I would definitely prefer if we can avoid these situations as much as possible." You remember the terror your felt when you saw your Lady about to be devoured by an owl and you nod. You don't want her to feel that way again, imagining that's what she felt. "Which is why I want you to come live in the Castle with me and my daughters."
Even though your eyes widen, you are not surprised. You know Lady Dimitrescu is proprietorial, you have noticed it in her bat form and it wasn't any different in the human one.
She sees you as hers. You don't know her what exactly but you are okay with the idea of being hers.
You look at your cabin, expecting to feel some sort of dread at the idea of leaving but it doesn't happen. The truth is that after today's invasion, the place feels stained and the idea of staying here alone doesn't thrills you.
Looking back at Alcina, you remove one arm from her neck to caress her jaw softly. Your eyes showing your adoration.
You have never initiate any contact with her, even when you were desperate to do it. She's always the one doing it, prompted by the way you blush whenever she does it. Now that she has allowed it and it looked she was okay with it, you don't want to stop touching her.
"Of course, my Lady. It will be an honor." You smile at her before burying your face back in the crook of her neck.

Re8 ladies as the poet, soldier, or ruler in my opinion :)
Mother Miranda: ruler, do I even have to explain this one. She is a ruler because she rules over the small village and is willing to do whatever she wants and in this situation it is Eva she is willing to kill hundreds for . She rules over the four Lords and is in control on everything and everyone in her village. She's put into a place of power because she chose to dedicate her life to try and bring back Eva and if she couldn't she would die trying. She gives orders and makes sure everything is perfect(kind of) she enforces rules and regulations since she is the highest power the village as seen. They fear her but also worship her, she is God to the village they pray to her and believe she is going to fix things like she has mostly likely done in the past due attacks and ect.
Alcina: I'm stuck on her because she would be both the ruler and the soldier. I feel like the soldier is someone who is willing to do anything for what they beliven and are very passionate about one thing and are willing to protect it, and to me that sounds like alcina and my reasoning behind this is she was willing to kill Ethan for mother Miranda's ceremony but he killed her daughters and she is passionate about getting revenge on him. She would also be the ruler because like mother Miranda she has power just not as much as mother Miranda. She is in a motherly role leaving her to be the ruler of the castle and her family since she is the mother figure. She has a responsibility to keep things in order and to not let things out of control.
Donna: she is the poet. I interpret the poet to be creative, calm, free and someone who wants to change themselves or others for the better. She's quiet and expresses herself through the art of her making her dolls. Though she lives alone and is isolated she is free to some extent. She's calm and most likely wants to change just based on what we know about her. We know so little about her but we know she loves dolls it's mostly an art form or a coping mechanism.
Bela: the ruler. She is the eldest of the 3 daughters giving her responsibility for her and her sisters. She's seen as the most responsible sibling as to Cassandra and Daniela who are destructive and immature at times. She follows rules and also most likely makes them as well. She keeps things in order and is perfect. She has to handle things for her and her sisters and is probably the most hard working sister out of the 3. She wants freedom though to, the stress of things makes her bottle up her feelings and act as if they are not important to keep the balance and order of things.
Cassandra: she is the soldier. She's willing to fight and protect what she loves. She is described as She is passionate about hunting, her family, and keeping them safe. She is passionate but also aggressive. Looking into her character she is the middle child and mostly likely suffers from middle child syndrome. She trys hard to impress her mother but is looked over. Alcina loves all of her children but is probably occupied by Bela and daniela. She protects her family and her loved ones with all she has she can be immature at times but never enough to make alcina or Bela angry with her.
Daniela: poet, with how the fandom portrays her it makes me believe she reads she probably would write something of her own. Like Donna she is creative and wants to make things better that being herself or something she's working on. She's free to do what she pleases. Being the youngest she is most likely to not be told no or be corrected. She loves to make new things such as story's or maybe even oc's of her own. She's described as the most delusional of the 3 sisters and it makes me believe she is the most likely to have high ambitions and dreams.
Honestly idk if this makes sense at l but oh well ig this is my thinking on what to the 6 women fit into.

Another Winterberg Fic Idea I will probably never write...
Ethan and Karl work tech support in a call center.
Ethan is a software guy and Karl is a hardware guy.
They sit right in front of each other because they’re respective teams sit next to each other and Karl is one of the agents who sits on the boarder.
I might include other RE Village folks.
Chris is definitely a supervisor and so is Alcina. Miranda is a manager: Chris and Alcina’s direct supervisor.
Alcina has never worked the phones here. She’s got management experience and that’s all that matters.
Chris has been on the phones but it’s been years and you know how tech changes quickly, he’s got the basics but not the nuances of the new tech, etc. He’s perpetually tired, drinks way too much coffee and pretty much lets his team do what they want as long as their numbers are good. They are.
Alcina is a stickler for customer care. She is always on Ethan’s ass because he is a honey badger and gives no fucks but somehow still excellent at his job. The only reason he still has a job though is because he doesn’t really talk to customers he talks to field techs. And well as long as they get the answers they need field techs don’t really complain. They don’t want to bring any attention to themselves of course.
Karl unfortunately talks to customers, he is one of those techs that has to walk customers through troubleshooting steps and he’s very good at it, customers really like his voice, he’s gotten hit on so many times he’d be rich if he had a dime for each time. Male and Female, all ages.
Ethan’s got a pretty good voice if he didn’t sound so dead inside all the time. Karl thinks it’s cute. He loves hearing Ethan give the techs shit for being lazy and/or dumb. He can’t believe he gets away with some of the shit he says to them.
Ethan eventually warms up to Karl. They have the same shift, go to lunch at the same time. Ethan is recently divorced from his college sweetheart, Mia.
“Yeah I went to college and this is the job I ended up with.”
He has an infant daughter. EX is a liar and cheat, but the daughter, Rosemary, is his. Paternity test plus she looks just like him. Karl never finished college, ran out of money.
Ethan dresses business casual. Wears jeans only on Fridays but always with a nice button up and oxfords. Karl dresses just rolled out of bed casual. He has been known to wear his pjs to work. He always smells nice though. Ethan doesn’t know how he manages it. No one can really tell the difference between Karl’s pjs and his regular clothes though honestly. The man wears sweatpants to work, gray ones, so no one really complains. And flip flops. Sneakers sometimes. But he’s been seen in flip flops in the winter and rain. The man will wear shorts to work. With boots. The season also doesn’t matter.
Alcina hates him based off his fashion sense alone. It annoys Chris but since there is no dress code he can’t really do anything about it. Miranda is trying to get a dress code enacted but as of yet it’s still not on the books.
Ethan thinks it’s funny. He’s always commenting on Karl’s t-shirts. He has quite the collection of novelty shirts. If a shirt says something inappropriate, he just tapes over it.
Karl frequently forgets his badge and tailgates all the time. Ethan always gives him shit every time it’s him.
“I have a kid to feed, Karl. I can’t lose my job because you can’t be bothered to keep up with a piece of plastic on a lanyard. Seriously, you can literally hang it around your neck if it’s that difficult to keep up with it.”
“My dog ate it.”
“Well, get another one. They’re free.”
“I don’t need to the boss lady finding out how irresponsible I am now do I?”
“I pretty sure that ship has sailed, Karl.”
I want to write this so bad.
Imagine the interteam pot luck. LMAO.
If anyone wants to steal the idea or even add to this feel free!

Ethan Winters! 1, 5, 7, 9 (or anyone else from Res8 if you have no feelings about him)
Let's GO moldman squad! (Also bringing in other people as necessary)
My first impression of them
I...didn't care about Ethan, which I know is very common in the fandom. I was absolutely here for Lady D. If RE8 DIDN'T sell itself on its gothic aesthetic and hot vampire MILF villain, I'd have never been invested. Honestly, I was more interested in the Maiden as a protagonist before...well. RIP.
I will say that I was always...willing to defend Ethan back in the early days (like, the literal day the game launched), when people were really PISSED that he killed Alcina, and that's been an ongoing process where I'm here like "Lads....he's trying to get his daughter back." (I do have a lot of Opinions on how he's written and how the game doesn't always seem to be...aware of what it's doing with its own writing, but, on a broad level, I still agree with that, which is always interesting as an admitted and confessed Wintersberg shipper because I'll get people commenting on my fic talking about how MEAN Ethan's being to Heisenberg and I'm here like "Given that he's trying to get his daughter back and was just IMPALED by this man...and not in a fun, sexy way...I think he's allowed to deck him at least once.") I watched the ending first, just to see how things went, and was absolutely devastated, and since then, I've definitely developed a lot of affection for him on his own.
My favorite ship of them
As mentioned above, Wintersberg.
A quote of them that you remember
"That is not groovy!"
Your least favorite outfit of them
I think that Ethan's outfits look...fine? For the function they do, even though I'd have loved it if they'd made him customizable like Leon and Ashley in the RE4 remake. They're...there, but I'd have loved Ethan running around in gothic finery or as an emo.
One potentially unpopular opinion is that I've never been fond of Lady D's gown, namely because I think that...it's iconic, it works, as a WLW I'm not immune to it, and I think that it was kind of designed to deliberately subvert a lot of stereotypes around vampires and what we think of when we think of a classic Gothic vampire, but also....I've always felt like the in-game timeline doesn't make sense. We're supposed to believe that Miranda took control about a century or so ago, sometime after the Spanish Flu, that Alcina came later, possibly after Moreau, seemingly being the first experiment to be successful by Miranda's standards...presumably around the 30s from the styling, and then the rest came later? When we have portraits of Alcina in Victorian dress in the mansion?
When I was imagining what they were going to do with Alcina when all we had were little clips, I was absolutely imagining her to be at least 16th-17th century, especially since they were clearly going with the pop culture idea of Erzsébet Báthory, with her having a long tenure at the castle, and instead it turns out that she's just...hanging there because Miranda gave it to her? And her vampirism is less than a century old? (The Doylist argument for the portraits is probably "they didn't care"; my Watsonian explanation is "Alcina likes to cosplay in old clothing and pay terrified village artists to paint her so that she can pretend to be older than she is.") But, either way -- her canon costuming is great, and I can see her updating her style over time, but I wish we could have seen her chasing Ethan around in older finery, and I wish, when we saw her wardrobe, we could have seen some other dresses besides identical copies of the same white dress.

Could I request the Four Lords reacting to thinking the read is scared of them and that’s why they won’t speak to them, but really reader is mute (whether born that way, because of trauma, or a physical injury)
Maybe they know sign language and that’s how they communicate instead?
Okay so i’m very sorry for the late delay of these I’ve been super busy and i just whipped this up really quickly and i apologise that it’s really rushed!! I hope these aren’t too bad although i’m not super happy with how they turned out :((
Alcina Dimitrescu
It’s only natural that working in Castle Dimitrescu that you’d be a little fearful of unpredictability of Lady Dimitrescu and her daughters.
However what you didn’t know was that she’s taken a liking to you already, watching you work from afar and she made it very clear that no one was to harm you.
Whenever you interacted she could help but notice how quiet you were, finding it rather odd when you responded to her commands with a short nod and a bow.
Alcina becomes fascinated with you, her eye always on you and sometimes even beckoning you to come and pour her wine just to see your reaction.
She walks past the cellars one day and notices you talking to a maiden. Well you weren’t exactly talking but the two of you were moving your hands in a way that looked like you could understand each other, watching the smile on your face.
Her curiosity and mild jealously meant she took it upon herself to understand exactly what she saw and came to learn that you are mute.
She becomes very overprotective of you after seeing you smile and light up like that, wanting to keep you by her side and away from anything that could harm you.
Eventually you earn her respect and no longer have to work for her. Instead of working you spend your days having tea in elaborate outfits, sitting across from Alcina as she rambles for hours about the girls dragging more bloodied corpses onto the new carpets or Heisenberg’s dramatic outbursts at family meetings or the complaints from the villages.
All of it made you smile and Alcina feels so accomplished when she sees you light up the way she first saw you. Feeling like she’s finally found the way in to your heart.
Her favourite thing to do is at the end of each night walk you to your permanent chambers, bringing a kiss to your hand and signing “goodnight my love” in sign language. It was one of the first things in sign language that you taught her and she’s never once forgetten it.
Donna Beneviento
At first Donna didn’t really notice that you are quieter compared to most people as she’s often finds herself falling into long periods of silence herself.
Not only is she generally reserved and not inclined to socialise like her siblings but a lot of the trauma and experiments she received from Mother Miranda has led to her withdrawing even more.
The only one she really talks to is Angie, although the doll is apart of her, it’s how she copes and allows herself to come out of her comfort zone without having to interact with her family which remind her of all the terrible experiences.
At first Donna believes you’re scared of her and Angie especially. She’s just so excited to finally have someone from outside the family who she trusts and wants to be with and doesn’t want to scare you away.
This makes her tense up a lot and push you away because she hates the thought of scaring you but Angie is apart of her and she doesn’t know how to keep you in her life while remaining herself.
But she quickly learns that you’re mute and although you can’t express it through words you care just as much for her.
That’s how you both discover that just being in each other’s company is enough for you to be happy together.
Touch is the one thing that keeps you both connected. Whether you have your hand in hers or you’ve got each other in a tight hug, touch is the way you both say ‘i love you’.
Sometimes when she’s having a bad day and you can feel the nerves pouring out of her, you walk up and hold your palm up to her.
Donna’s hand will sit softly against your own with only the tips of your fingers intertwining, just the slightest touch can calm her. Your forehead presses to hers and you hold her close until all her worries melt away.
Even though you can’t tell her, all the fleeting touches and gentle movements are how you tell Donna every day that you could never be scared of her but in fact you love her very deeply.
Salvatore Moreau
Salvatore instantly panics when he sees you don’t talk, his mind instantly jumping to the conclusion that you must either fear him or hate him like everyone else.
He doesn’t want to lose you, and is almost desperate for you attention which he doesn’t understand can’t be said through words.
He’s gonna bring you all of the things he likes in hopes to show you that he’s not scary like everyone thinks.
Each night he’s bringing you blankets (which are damp and kinda smell but he doesn’t know) and each morning he’s got breakfast for you and he’s gonna bring all the cheese he owns.
He’s still convinced you’re scared of him so he drops them in front of you and retreats into the corner with his hands raised, anticipating your rejection but still no less scared of your reaction.
“I’m not scary, I promise…”
Eventually he realises you can’t speak and that you enjoy his efforts to make you comfortable, thinking it’s adorable.
When you become comfortable around each other you being to show him some phrases in sign language so he can communicate with you. He’s definitely eager to learn, practically begging alcina for books on it from her library.
He’s not very good at it but you spend your afternoons teaching him and you both end up giggling and laughing at his attempts. By the end of the night you’re both crashed on the couch after watching movies.
He loves to take you outside to see the reservoir and windmill where you write little messages to each other on the snow.
Karl Heisenberg
When Karl first learnt that you’d be sent to his factory by order of Mother Miranda he was furious that he’d have to babysit you.
He ignores you at first, not even looking at you as he left you in some room of the factory with the door locked behind him.
One day after a fight with Alcina he comes bashing through what’s slowly become your bedroom of sorts. His fist collides with the metal countertop leaving a dent in it as metal shards rattle around the room.
“If that bitch humiliates me one more time at a family meeting i’ll hit her with my hammer!”
He looks at you and notices the startled look on your face from having to dodge all the metal now flying around the room until it drops to the floor. Karl looking at you with a sheepish face, upset with himself that he scared you.
“Sorry about that…”
Karl spends more time with you after that, showing you around his factory and telling you all his elaborate plans to bring down Miranda and vent about his sister after he realised you were a good listener.
In fact he started to realise that you were almost too much of a good listener… and that you had never once spoken to him.
He didn’t even know you name and that frustrated him beyond all means.
While he was still confused at your behaviour, he couldn’t bring himself to hate it as you grew closer with each passing day.
Sometimes his favourite thing to do is to sit with you in his living quarters, sitting on the couch with his head in your lap as your fingers brush through his hair.
It’s there where he’ll talk to you for hours about everything and nothing at all. Just happy to have someone in his life.
He’s comforted by the fact that you’re mute because you don’t judge him, your actions towards him always soft and warming.
He’s never had someone who could be there for him emotionally and physically, and he loves that you show him how much you love him by the little gestures like cuddling, playing with his hair and holding his head in your hands.

At least once a week, Alcina will have to deal with the girls bringing home a stray cat, dog, goat, even a varcoloc one instance.
She loves her girls more than anything, but she absolutely refuses to have any pet short of a fish in her castle
Love this, I've actually thought about this a couple times! I hope I did well, I sort of brain farted towards the end lol. Enjoy!
Alcina cleared her throat, trying her best not to sigh and crumble to the floor.
"Mother, please? Look at it! Isn't it so cute?"
Daniela, ever the excitable youngest daughter, had a very oversized and grumpy looking black cat in her arms. If Alcina looked closer, she could've sworn the cat looked a little familiar.
"Please, Mother. We'll take care of it!" Cassandra was tugging on her mother's dress, a big pout set on her lips.
"Yes! We even have toys for it!" Bela pulled out a tree from behind her back, that was not at all subtly hiding back there. All three of them either had innocent smiles or a pout on their faces.
Alcina looked between her daughters and actually did sigh this time. She hated telling them "no" but she refused to have a little pest running around the castle causing even more mayhem than she already needed. This was the fifth week in a row she's had to tell them to put a creature back outside, tears and all.
"Darling, please put the tree back outside. Do not bring trees inside the castle, how many times have I told you?" Alcina scolded Bela softly, humming comfortingly when her daughter responded with "aww, man".
"Okay, but what about the friend I got for the cat!" Then Bela proceeded to put out a hissing honey badger. How she managed to keep it quiet, much less get a hold of it, was truly a mystery. At this point, Alcina had a vein slightly protruding from her forehead.
"No! No friends! No cats! No friends for cats! Out with that," Alcina pointed at the extremely disinterested feline, "and it's friend!"
"But Motherrrr" Daniela whined, stomping her foot a little. The countess pinched the bridge of her nose, grumbling about why she raised her little flies so spoiled, they were never used to being told "no", ever.
"I told you, my bug. There will be n-" Alcina paused, doing a double take when Bela creeped closer, holding the badger out to her mother.
"Just lo-"
"Out!"
The next week:
This was the worst day of Alcina's life.
And she's lived a long life.
"Absolutely not." In front of her stood her three daughters and a bleating... whatever that was. The pest was making all sorts of honks and squeaks, constantly chewing on something.
"But it's cute!"
"Please, Mother? Then we'll stop asking!"
"It's so helpless, we would keep it safe!"
Here they were again, begging Alcina to keep some random creature inside the castle.
"I can get you all a fish, how about that? You like fishes don't you girls? Remember all the fish books we have in the library?" Alcina clasped her hands together, giving a tensed smile to her daughters. They all looked so cute and it was the hardest thing in the world to deny them, but Alcina couldn't take the risk of something important being chewed up, or even worse, thrown back up.
"But we want this one, Mother!" This time, Cassandra was the one holding the animal, not even minding the way it was nibbling on her clothes and hair.
"How about this, I am going to take a nice bath and you, my darlings, can play with it until I am done. But it must be gone the second I am back." A compromise could work, Alcina wasn't too good at those, too used to just taking what she wanted.
The three of them looked between themselves, several indiscernible looks being shared. Alcina gave her best pleading smile, hoping that she could let her girls have this, and they wouldn't ask again.
Wishful thinking, right?
They nodded to each other then looked up at their mother, giving innocent smiles and a silent agreement. Alcina had a very bad feeling about this.
"Okay, I'll be back. Behave. And for Mother Miranda's sake please, keep an eye on that thing."
Alcina sighed. She couldn't remember a time she had been this lenient toward someone, much less three people. But they were her daughters, and she loved them dearly. Maybe she would get them a fish, or maybe a hamster? No, certainly not a hamster, one of them would eat it and claim it to be an accident.
Gods, Alcina could imagine seeing Daniela with her cheeks puffed and the hamster cage empty. The giantess groaned, trying her best to sink further into her tub as if she were trying to disappear. She let her thoughts run freely, closing her eyes and relaxing.
"Maah"
Alcina's eyes never opened faster, her eyes immediately zoning in on the goat that stared right into her soul across the rim of the tub.
The girls didn't know any better as they dug into the thigh of an unknown animal later that evening.
They wondered where their temporary friend had gone when Alcina finally made it back downstairs, but their mother simply told them it must've run off when they weren't looking.
The next week:
Alcina had been resting in her chambers, peacefully asleep, when she was awoken by licks and panting against her face. While she appreciated her daughters' affection, she thought they were long past their phase of affectionate licking from when they were "younger".
"Girls, it is muc-" Alcina growled the second her eyes opened all the way. Unless her daughters had turned into a dog overnight, then there was something seriously wrong. The mother groaned in exasperation when she realized what was happening.
"This cannot be happening.." She mumbled. Then she peeked an eye to see the canine was sat happily atop her covers. To make matters worse, Alcina moved her hand only to come into contact with something that felt too much like a slobbered chew toy and she dearly hoped it wasn't exactly that.
Alcina nearly lost all her marbles.
"Puppy? Puppy, where are you?" A harsh whisper came from behind the cracked door, making Alcina look up to see Bela creeping into the room. She was hunched over herself and looking around frantically.
"Bela! Did you find it ye-" Then came in two more hunched figures, all of them abruptly pausing when they found their mother sat up and the dog turning its head to joyfully bark in the direction of the daughters.
Alcina stared at her daughters, who were split between glancing at her and the dog, while the pest had turned to look right back at the countess.
"Get. It. Out."
The next week:
It was Friday.
Castle Dimitrescu has not had any recent pest visits. Alcina could almost cry in happiness. Maybe her daughters had finally stopped. Though the thought did make the mother feel a little guilty. Maybe she could talk to the Duke to see if he knew any places to adopt puppies.
As Alcina was just about done filling out paperwork and filing them away, she could hear a muted crash come from outside her door. She got up immediately. Was it a maid? An intruder?
Opening the door, she was greeted with her worst nightmare. She could vaguely remember the beasts her idiot brother spoke to her about, though she didn't give it much thought before the beast turned towards her with its very... very ugly head and roared.
"What the fuck." Was all Alcina could say. She snarled right back, her claws unsheathing the moment she noticed the beast was crouching, ready to pounce.
"Mother! Wait!" The shouts of her daughters made her pause, giving the creature an opening to jump at her.
...Only for it to start licking her hair the second it latched on. A deep frown settled into Alcina's features, her hands and claws furiously waving through the air.
"What is the meaning of this?! What is this- this thing doing in here?!" Her daughters only smiled sheepishly, immediately pulling out their pouts and puppy eyes.
"We found him wandering the forest!" Daniela shrieked a laugh and giggled while clapping her hands.
A growl and a tongue swiping across her face had the countess grabbing the abomination by the back of its neck and wrenching it away.
"You- you get this out of here! It does not belong here! Return this beast to where you found it!" Alcina shook the creature in her grasp before she dropped it. She watched as it scampered to her daughters' sides, tearing up the hall and somehow knocking over a vase, even with a distance so short.
"But-"
"No!"
"Isn't he cu-"
"No! He's not! Now get it out!"
Alcina sighed harshly, rubbing her face with her hands, nearly taking out her own eye in the process. She watched as her little bugs skipped away, giggling and playing around the Varcolac. The mother could already tell what was coming the next week.
The next week:
"Mother! Look what we found-"
"No!"

Note
Ooh just got to the part where the reader saw a bit into Bela’s mind and her past! Do you have any headcanons on how the dimi daughters were when they were first reborn?
i actually do! these are for TPtM's universe, anyway :D
(A/N: this got a lot longer than I was anticipating. I may have gone a little overboard and went into a little more detail about their backstories than you probably wanted, but here we are :D)
Bela Dimitrescu
i imagine all three girls were originally from the village before getting to the castle and where they are now, and Bela (at least in TPtM's universe) was from a rather poor family
her parents were never really proud of anything she did and thought of her more as a burden than an actual child, something she still holds onto even after she can no longer remember this part of her
it's why she constantly tries to prove herself to Alcina, why it hurts her so deeply when anyone is even slightly disappointed in her
she probably ended up falling in love with another woman in the village, and this was likely frowned upon at the time
more so because Castle Dimitrescu was taking more people than usual lately, and they needed more children around (something the lady of the castle refused to take in the night)
her parents likely tossed her to the street for being weird and not accepting their demands to marry a man with more money than they had
word spread quickly, and she was looked down upon from everyone in the village
even the woman she'd fallen in love with ignored her and called her a freak for what she's done
she's come to find that everyone leaves her, eventually
she's heard the rumors and stories surrounding Castle Dimitrescu, and one fateful night, she decides to seek out the woman living there
she has nothing else to live for, abandoned by those she thought would love her unconditionally
Alcina is very skeptical of her at first, mostly because she found Bela wandering around her castle in the middle of the night
she's in a sorry state; blonde hair matted and messy, clothes torn and face dirty, brown eyes filled with so much despair
normally, Alcina wouldn't think twice about sending some strange woman to the cellar to be dealt with later, but part of her - the part that still clings to her humanity - takes pity on her
and she sees the opportunity that could arise out of this situation, as well. someone malleable who can be taught to handle the things she's too busy to deal with
she feeds Bela, helps her bathe, brushes the matting out of her hair, but only on the condition that she sign a working contract for Castle Dimitrescu
Bela does, of course. she'd be a fool not to
Alcina develops a bond with the strange woman she'd seen wandering her castle, often gifting her with the praise she'd so desperately sought out from her own flesh and blood
she feels like a mother to Bela, something she finds she's always searched for and could never find among the heathens in the village
so, when the time comes for Mother Miranda to experiment once again, Alcina sees the opportunity that could arise
she loves Bela dearly, as one should their own child, and to have the chance to keep her around for much longer than an average human life? she'd take that risk any day
it's nighttime when she brings up the question, and Bela is... hesitant
Alcina assures her that nothing will go wrong, not as long as she is there to keep her safe, and that settles it
Miranda arrives the next day, and Alcina sits with Bela on her bed, holding her hand, giving her the comfort and reassurance she's never had
Bela does not want this to go wrong, but she understands that if it does, she will be free
she won't have to suffer from nightmares any longer, she won't have to hear her parents' disapproving voices in the back of her head
she will be safe and she will be loved
isn't that all she's ever wanted?
she winces when Miranda makes the incision on her head, but she is fine. she has to be strong for her new family
everything is fine, at first
then the pain starts
it spikes through her skull and she fights almost immediately. she tries to sit up, to get away from whatever is crawling in her brain, but Alcina holds her down, even as tears stream down her cheeks and ruin what little makeup she usually has on
she screams and writhes, begs for someone to help her, and Alcina gently coos at her, caresses her face, whispers that she’s fine, it’ll be over soon enough, just be strong-
and she tries, she really does
but she’s so scared
she doesn’t want to die
she thinks of her parents and that woman, of everything she wants to say to them, every bit of pain she wishes she could inflict on them for everything they’ve done to her
her fear turns into anger as she continues fighting against Alcina, as her legs kick out and one smacks against Miranda’s golden mask, knocking it off her face
tears continue streaming down her cheeks as her lip curls and she bares her teeth in fury
it feels as though something is eating at her skin, biting and gripping and sticking-
in the end, she passes out from the pain of being eaten alive
she doesn’t expect to wake up
everything is peaceful in that state of blackness, and for the first time in a long time, she is safe
when her eyes eventually reopen, bugs buzzing around her materializing hand, she’s so... lost
the room is dark, and it seems she’s the only one in it
she can’t remember who she is or why she’s there
she doesn’t remember anything
Bela sits up in the bed she was laying in, bringing a hand up to her head, hissing through her teeth when her palm brushes against a rather sore spot there
“easy,” comes a soft voice at her side
she looks around, eyes landing on the large form of a woman sitting in a chair next to her bed. she smiles gently, reassuringly, and Bela cannot help but feel a sort of attachment to this woman, despite not recognizing her
“my name is Alcina Dimitrescu. do you know where you are?”
she shakes her head, blonde hair falling into her face
the woman smiles at that, lifting her chin and revealing more of her shadowed face. two glowing, golden eyes stare back at her, sending a chill down her spine
“good,” the woman says. “then we may begin.” she clasps her hands in her lap, tilting her head to the side. “it’s wonderful to finally meet you, Bela.”
it takes time for her to adjust to her new body - longer limbs than she’s used to, making her rather clumsy, and the bugs that appear when she’s feeling any kind of emotion
she feels just like a newborn learning how to walk and speak, but some part of her, deep down, feels as though this is where she belongs
she becomes the eldest Dimitrescu daughter, a title she learns to hold with immense pride
she lives her life as Alcina’s shadow, doing the things her mother wishes of her, always met with a head pat and verbal praise when she completes any tasks
Bela can’t help but feel this is where she has always belonged
Cassandra Dimitrescu
she’s always been a protector
it’s just in her blood; she protects those she cares for, though they are few and far between
she is a huntress for her family, for her younger brother, all of whom are incapable of doing so themselves
they are working to repay their debt to Castle Dimitrescu, and Cassandra provides food for their table
it’s not a bad life. she doesn’t mind the reputation that follows her, the whispers she hears when she walks through the streets of the village
she’s just glad to be alive another day, and she will continue doing what it takes to keep her family alive
she knows the Dimitrescus - there are two of them now - will come for her family eventually, and she supposes she’s trying to prepare for that time
she doesn’t mind being known as a sadist around the village. she hunts and protects. it’s all she’s ever known
she takes on all the responsibility of her younger brother to keep him safe, to prevent him from witnessing the vile sides of their parents
he deserves a better life than this
in her spare time, something she rarely has, Cassandra will sit outside, hidden in the trees, and sketch what she can
the buildings around the village, a dead lycan, a goat, even the maiden statue in the middle of the village
part of her actually enjoys the fear she sees when she walks through the streets, weapons strapped to her back and sides, and she finds herself smiling at the realization
what does it matter to her, that these idiots are afraid of her? it means they’ll keep away
even after her rebirth, this sticks with Cassandra. she knows she’s not as pretty or well-spoken as her sisters are, and she’s fine with that
she will not let anything else happen to her new family, going to any lengths in order to prevent these horrible things from happening
there is one night, after an intense yelling match with her younger brother, that Cassandra leaves and hides for hours
her parents had wanted her to take him out of the village on a hunting trip for the night, something completely out of the ordinary, but she argued with him before she even remembered what she was supposed to do
it was something stupid, and she knows he’s too young to really know why she’s gone all the time
she left her small and crowded home as the sun was disappearing beneath the mountains, and it is well into the night that she hears screaming
she thinks nothing of it, at first
it’s not uncommon for the newest Dimitrescu daughter to have nightly outings in which she will take her newest victim back to the castle
she watches the forest move and breathe, trying her best to calm down before she returns to her home with a cleared mind
lycans howl in tune with the Dimitrescu daughter’s cackles, and Cassandra wonders if she should return now, but she does value her life
she knows her family is safe. nothing would happen to them while she was around
some time later, the screams stop, and so do the giggles and laughter
Cassandra resigns herself to return, and she stands with a sigh, brushing she snow from her legs
the cold had long since settled in her bones, but she was used to it, now
she turns to make her way back to the village, only to be stopped by the person she sees standing among the trees, hidden by the shadows
two glowing, golden eyes stare back at her
“i see i missed one,” the Dimitrescu daughter says, her voice almost kind
she steps further into the moonlight, blood splattered on her clothing and dripping off her jaw and chin
Cassandra swallows and reaches for the knife she usually has on her, holstered at her hip
she grasps nothing but air
her heart stutters in her chest, and it seems the Dimitrescu in front of her realizes at the same moment that she is defenseless
“your family put up quite the fight.” Cassandra’s heart drops to her stomach as her eyes widen. “it’s a shame they couldn’t repay my mother. you might’ve had more time with them.”
as she stares at the Dimitrescu, she just sees red
she should have-
this is her fault
she knows she shouldn’t, but she can’t stop herself from yelling out in frustration and lunging for the Dimitrescu in front of her
she’s dodged with ease, but Cassandra has been hunting for years
after a few minutes of listening to the Dimitrescu cackle and mock her, she manages to grab a rock in the snow and stab at the bigger woman with it
it goes straight through her shoulder and part of her chest as her form becomes flies
the Dimitrescu pauses as Cassandra pants and watches her body materialize again, becoming a solid form once more
“well,” she says as her eyes find Cassandra’s, “Mother is going to like you.”
the next thing she knows, a sickle is raised, and the end of it is bashed against her temple, sending her toward the forest floor as she blacks out
she wakes intermittently, eyes blurry as she tries to focus
she’s being dragged through the forest, then part of the village, and finally, through what looks like a hallway
for her crimes against Alcina Dimitrescu’s daughter and for offending her, Cassandra is sentenced to death
but, the daughter, whose name she learns is Bela, offers her a choice for being such a good huntress and actually getting the drop on her
go through what she did, become an experiment
there is the risk of dying, but if she survives, she will become like her
and she believes, then, she can enact her revenge
so, she goes through the experiment
she grits her teeth against the pain, eyes boring into Bela’s, hatred fueling her, the only thing keeping her awake and alive, she thinks
the Dimitrescu daughter only grins back at her, blood dried on her lips and cheeks
she has no support, and her hands are bound to the bed
Alcina Dimitrescu stands nearby as the incision is made on her head, and she is given some kind of weird smelling liquid to help with the pain
instead, it forces her unconscious
when she reopens her eyes after spending what feels like an eternity in that state of darkness, a woman with blonde hair and brightly glowing eyes sits with her, watching her, almost studying her
Cassandra freaks
she doesn’t know why she does, but her first instinct is to fight, even if she’s not in any immediate danger
she lunges for the grinning bastard, grabbing a hold of her shoulders and tackling her to the floor, fist raising to bash her face in-
she only gets one hit off of the woman before a large hand grabs onto the back of her clothing and yanks her off, almost like one would a kitten
she’s held in the air, fighting for a moment to get back to the woman on the ground and inflict pain on her, but she gives up after it’s clear she won’t be getting down anytime soon
she frowns and crosses her arms over her chest, glaring at the woman as she stands and swipes the back of her hand across her bloody nose
“well,” she sighs, eyes drooping as she stares up at Cassandra. “it seems it worked, Mother.”
“perhaps a little too well,” someone behind her mumbles. “do you remember anything, young one?”
Cassandra kicks out a leg, still pouting in the air, even if she would never admit to doing such a thing
“what do you want from me?”
someone hums, and then she’s being set back on the floor. a hand finds its way to her shoulder, and then she’s being turned to face a tall woman, watching her carefully
then, she smiles warmly
“welcome to the family, Cassandra.”
it takes time for her to adjust, though she’s given free reign around the castle she now inhabits
Bela, someone she comes to accept is her older sister, shows her around, informs her of everything she now is
she comes to see Alcina Dimitrescu as a mother, and despite having a family, despite belonging...
she can’t help but feel something is missing
she doesn’t understand what purpose she has while she spends her days inside Castle Dimitrescu
some part of her seeks to hurt in order to quell the pain she feels in her head, and so, she spends most of her time in the cellar, unable to comprehend what she’s feeling
she wonders if she hurts the disobedient maids as a way to protect her newfound family
if that’s the case, she will learn to enjoy it
Daniela Dimitrescu
she’s never had what one would call a normal family
the youngest of three, she was nothing more than a mistake, something she was shown and told time and time again by her older siblings and struggling father
she tries to be like them as much as she can, in order to gain her father’s approval
nothing ever works, and it becomes something she still latches onto, even after she finds a loving family and two older sisters that love and adore her simply because they can
Daniela comes to seek approval from anyone around her, hoping someone will take an interest in her, and she latches onto anyone that does
the woman at Duke’s stall that pays for a book she wants, the man that offers to help her get home, the older woman that pats her head and tells her that everything will be fine, soon
nothing ever gets better, she finds
all she’s ever wanted was the approval of her family, something that would give her the love she so desperately craves
she doesn’t know what it’s like to be cared for unconditionally
her brothers and father speak of her mother often, someone that died giving birth to her
it’s why they hate her so much, why they wish she was never born in the first place
months ago, she’d seen the woman around the village everyone feared, the one that hunted and always had at least four weapons on her at all times
one night, Daniela thought of finding this woman, thought of seeking her protection and care
everyone struggles in the village, though, and she likely has her own issues to deal with
so, she tries to remain quiet and nothing more than a little shadow no one can pay attention to
as soon as she becomes of age, her father sells her to Lady Dimitrescu
she wants to fight, wants to beg him to let her stay, to love her
instead, she keeps her mouth shut, silently crying when the grand chambermaid comes to investigate her
a week later, she’s brought to the castle
she’s reassured that she will be taken care of here, that no one will hurt her and she will be fed
her wages will go to her, not her family
she settles in rather easily, but she’s still an outcast
she’s different
Daniela recognizes some of the women working in the castle, ones she’s seen from the village
she imagines that is why they refuse to talk to her
they don’t go out of their way to make her life harder, but they sure as hell don’t make it any easier
about two weeks into her time spent working at the castle, she does begin letting her guard down a little
she’s fed, she has a steady roof over her head, and she hasn’t heard a word from her father since arriving
at the same time, though, she is assigned to clean the Dimitrescus personal wing of the castle
it’s something she knows is a death wish
around noon, she’s given the task of scrubbing the floors from what looks like a pool of blood, though there’s no body to accompany it
bugs buzz around her ears not long after, and she completely freezes
two figures materialize in front of her, and she keeps her head down as best she can
“working by yourself?” the oldest mumbles. “how unlike the grand chambermaid to assign such a thing.”
the younger one hums and crouches. “are they trying to get you killed?”
Daniela lifts her head, heart thundering against her ribcage, and watches the brunette carefully
she smiles back, a little sinister, sending a chill down Daniela’s spine
“Cassandra,” the oldest sighs. “be nice. this is the one Mother warned us about.”
Daniela’s brows furrow as she watches the siblings. she’s reminded of her older brothers, of their larger forms overpowering her and sneering at her as they mocked any little thing she did
her limbs shake as she looks back at the bloodied ground, tears welling in her eyes
she doesn’t want to be seen as weak in front of this family, she doesn’t want it to be like before
they end up leaving her to her own devices, and a few hours later, the younger one returns with a small muffin and hands it to her with a simple, “you’re doing a good job. i’ve spoken with the grand chambermaid.”
she doesn’t want to think on why she doesn’t see the older woman anymore
over time, the Dimitrescu siblings start spending more time around Daniela, something she doesn’t quite understand
surely they had better things to do?
she slowly starts to belong with them
she spends most of her time around the younger one, who usually waits nearby while she cleans or prepares her bed
sometimes she’ll make idle conversation, asking about Daniela’s family, something she intentionally refrains from ever speaking about
eventually, there comes a time, months later, than both siblings wake her up before the sun has even risen
they take her to the library, a vast room filled with shelves upon shelves of books
it’s like Daniela’s heaven
she’s told that this is her task: every morning, she is to clean the library and rearrange the books however she sees fit
once she’s done, she’s able to read whatever she wishes until the siblings find something else for her to do
and, if there’s nothing to clean, she’s allowed to simply sit in the library and relax until someone finds something for her to do
a year after her employment, she celebrates her birthday with the two siblings, who seem to think of her as their younger sister, something that makes this birthday so much better than any she’s ever had before
they give her the day off, something they say they’ll hide from their mother, and they give her the option to see her family again
she’s always turned them down before, but maybe...
she does end up going back to her family, something she despises calling them now that she has a sense of belonging with the Dimitrescu sisters, and she decides to rub in their faces that they tried to get her killed, and she is thriving
it ends up being a mistake going back, and once she can sneak back out of that wretched house that night, she rushes back to the castle, sobbing and aching and just wanting to be held and comforted-
Cassandra finds her hiding in the library as she sobs and curls in on herself, tucked into a corner behind a large shelf
she panics for just a moment as the older woman stands tall and imposing above her, and she’s reminded of her brothers doing the same thing
she flinches when Cassandra crouches and reaches for her, and that must cause her to refrain from touching her
she watches the older woman carefully, hands still outstretched, frowning as she watches Daniela
the latter sobs as she lunges forward, wrapping her arms around Cassandra and holding her tight
the Dimitrescu sister sits on the floor and holds her close, keeping her safe and out of harm’s way
Bela ends up finding them, and she asks what happened, why Daniela is crying and hiding
she tells them both, and a few days later, word spreads around the castle of an unfortunate accident involving her father and brothers
both Dimitrescu siblings deny being involved in such a thing, but Daniela knows better
she smiles and sleeps a little better at night
about a week after that, as Daniela is tucked into a sofa in the library lost in one of her books, Bela and Cassandra enter
they ask her if she’d like to become like them, whatever that means
they were just... human, weren’t they?
she doesn’t understand why everyone is so afraid of them
when she asks for clarification, Bela tells her, “if you do become like us... you won’t have to fear anyone ever again.”
that settles it for her
she doesn’t want to be afraid, and she doesn’t want to be alone
they bring her to their mother, asking her then about their plan to help Daniela become one of them
their mother is skeptical, at first, but she agrees when both siblings say please
they stay with Daniela throughout it all, giving her some kind of tea that eases her anxieties and helps her fall asleep
they promise to be there when she wakes
it takes her longer to finally wake up after her rebirth, and when she does, the first thing she notices is that her head is so crowded
she has these urges to act out on, but for a while, she manages to keep them under control
that same control snaps when she’s incredibly emotional
two women she doesn’t really remember - who she finds are named Bela and Cassandra - show her around, all giddy that she’s awake and they can finally be around her again
she learns to recognize them as her sisters, and they fully accept the notion. they keep her safe and protect her, and Alcina Dimitrescu, her new mother, spoils her and gives her whatever she asks for
there is a time, months after she’s settled in, that Daniela asks if she had any family before. she can’t seem to remember
Bela and Cassandra share a look from across the dinner table, and it’s the former that answers as they wait for their mother to join them
“we’ve always been your family.”
Daniela, despite not remembering anything of her past, despite not knowing who she was before she became a Dimitrescu...
she realizes, after some time, that this is what home should feel like

Idk if this is how you request things or if it's just asking, BUT-
How would the Lords react to an S/O that's usually the chillest person that you will ever meet (not to be confused with a pushover because they are not), they've never seen them even mildly annoyed when something bad happens. But then something happens and, turns out, the S/O is utterly TERRIFYING when they're mad.
Hope this makes sense!
Aw man I'm gonna feel awful scaring Moreau and Donna :(
Alcina
You're relaxing on a beautiful morning. The sun is shining through the window just enough to warm the room but not hurt your eyes. You hadn't even changed out of your sleep wear. "How are you feeling, my dear?", a sweet voice rang from the doorway. You were sitting in your favorite chair near the window. You turn and smile at her. She walks over and rubs your face in her large hand before leaning down and giving you a soft kiss. "I'm feeling amazing. And you?", you grab her hand before she pulls it away and you place a kiss on her knuckles. "I'm feeling alright. There's a new maid here. She's a bit slow. I'm giving her until tonight to finish dusting the entire castle or else she won't see another sunrise." It was almost comedic how dark her words were as you both stared out the window and gazed at the beautiful scenery. "Come on Alcina.", you stand up and place your hands on hers, trying to hold them despite the size difference. "Give the girl a break. It's a huge castle AND it's her first day.", you knew your words would probably change nothing. Alcina was rather cruel, but you looked past it. You tried your best to make the nervous maids comfortable whenever they arrive.
"We'll see how she does." She gives you one more kiss before leaving the room. You sit back down in your chair, enjoying the warmth of the sun for a little while longer. You lose track of time, minutes maybe even hours go by. Suddenly, there's a crash not far from the door. You jump and stand up, no longer comfortable after being startled. "What in the name of Mother Miranda?!", you leave the room and look down the hallway. The new maid stood there with a terrified look on her face. In front of her was one of the paintings Alcina had on her walls, now with a broken frame and a hole punctured. Your blood began to boil. It was a painting of you, her, and the girls all together. It was your favorite. "How in the hell did you manage to do that?!", you begin to stomp towards her. She cowers and struggles to find her words. "I-I-I was just dusting! It fell and I-I didn't mean t-", you cut her off. "How the fuck did you knock such a large painting over just by dusting?! DO YOU THINK YOU'RE ALLOWED TO MAKE SUCH STUPID MISTAKES HERE?!", you unravel. "I-I didn't mean to! I'm sorry!", she almost begins to weep. "SORRY ISN'T GONNA SAVE YOUR ASS!"
"MISS DIMITRESCU PLEASE HELP!", she cries out. You freeze, realizing that the lady herself is right behind you. You turn to face her. Her eyes are wide with shock. She has never seen you like this before and never even knew you had this type of side to you. She was impressed as much as she was terrified. "(Y/N)? Are you alright my love?" She had no idea what to do as your seething slowed down. "Why don't you go back to the room, yes? Settle down a little and deal with her later.", she places a hand on your back helps walk with you back to the room. Once you're there, she bends down to whisper in your ear. "I don't know where this side of you has been this whole time, but I am so amazed by you. And also a little frightened."
Donna
The Beneviento house was usually a calm place despite its creepy aura. You and Donna are both quiet and chill people. Never once have you fought or even raised your voices at each other. It was pleasant.
You had planned a nice dinner for the both of you. You wanted to try out a new recipe and surprise her, so you made your way to the kitchen to get started. "Okay, what first? I guess I'll need a pot.", you go rummaging through the kitchen and you find the pots stacked within each other inside one of the top cabinets. You groan and stand up on your toes, grazing the pots with your fingers. It didn't take much to cause them to tumble down, crashing on top of you with a loud sound that followed. "Aw shit.", you sighed and picked up the knocked over pots. A small but annoying pain began to throb in your head from where it made contact with a pot. What you didn't notice was you forgot to pick one of the pots up. It remained unnoticed. "It's fine.", you say to yourself as you maintain your composure. Next, a cutting board and knife. You turn around and begin to walk forward to find the cutting board, but you slam your toe into counter. You wince in pain and grab your foot. "SON OF A BITCH!", you yell.
You calm yourself, still wanting to have a pleasant meal with Donna. "Alright. Everything's fine." You step forward and kick the pot that you had forgotten to pick up. It caused your freshly kicked toe to ache even more. "OH COME ON! GOD FUCKING DAMMIT!", you scream and swear as you throw your arms up in pure rage and shock.
"...(Y/N)?", a gentle voice whispered from the doorway, causing you to whip your head in that direction. It was Donna. She looked absolutely horrified and almost looked like she could cry. "Is.. is everything... are you alright?", she worried. "Yes. I'm sorry. Just got a little pissed off.", you took a deep breath to calm yourself down, feeling bad for scaring the poor girl.
Moreau
You were sitting on the dock together, looking into the water as your feet swung back and forth above it. It was a sunny day and you two decided to spend it outside. Your hand slowly made its way over to his. His feet stopped swinging for a second as you entangled your fingers. "I don't know what I'd do without you, (Y/N)." his words were bitter sweet as a gentle smile formed from his lips. "Oh, Sal. You don't have to think like that. I'll always be here for you.", you kiss his cheek and continue to relax as you sway your legs.
"There it is! There's the beast!", a voice yelled from not so far away. You both look in the direction of the voice and see a few young village boys. Possibly between the ages of 13 and 16. Moreau had become some what of a scary story for the villagers. A tale that kids spread on school court yard and bring up during dares. But, you've never seen a kid brave enough to actually make it far enough into the reservoir to actually see Moreau. Now, there were about 3. All of them stood and pointed, shocked and terrified.
"Hey beast! Come get me!", one kid teases. You glare at the kids as a newfound rage begins to boil inside you. "Let's go back inside.", Moreau says before standing up from the doc. The sadness in his voice was heartbreaking. Suddenly, one of the children gathers the guts to pick up a rock and throw it as hard as he could. His aim was off, but not by much. It slammed into the wood near Moreau's feet, startling him. "Take that you devil!", he laughs. "THAT'S IT YOU LITTLE SHIT!", you begin sprinting in the direction of the immature brats. Two of them run from the direction they came from while the one who threw the rock was frozen in fear. You took the opportunity to grab him by the collar of his shirt. "Listen here you little waste of space. I'm gonna give you 3 seconds to turn around and run for your goddamn life. If you or any of your little snot-nosed friends come around here again, they'll be goddamn fish food. Do you understand?" The kid was too scared to speak and instead began to nod rapidly. You let him go and watched as he ran as fast as he could, screaming the whole way.
You walk back to the shack and find Moreau standing in the same place he was when you took off. His mouth was agape and he looked almost as scared as the kids. "You alright Sal? I made sure those little shits won't be coming around here anymore." "Yeah... I didn't know you could be so... scary", he says. "I'm sorry. But those kids were being cruel. I had to do something.", you say. "Well... it was awesome!", he smiled. "But also very scary!" You laugh which helps sooth him a little.
Heisenberg
"Screw driver.", is all Karl said with an outstretched palm. He was working on some type of mechanical heart for his experiments. He wanted you to lend a "helping hand" even though he could easily do it all by himself. He did this because he wanted to be around you, he was just too stubborn with too big of an ego to simply say it. So here you were, handing him every little tool he asks for.
"Do you want the big one or the little one?", you say with a hint of boredom in your tone. "Aw c'mon don't sound like that! Isn't this exciting? It's like you're working on it with me! Also, hand me the big one.", you do as he says and hand him the big screw driver. "I just don't get it. You literally have powers. You can easily do this by yourself and have been for so long. Why do you need me to help?" He pauses for a second and looks over towards you, his brow slightly furrowed. "I don't NEED you to help. I just thought it would be nice for you to help out. Plus, you're the one always bitching about me constantly working. Well, here you are! Helping me work! So, either suck it up or you can leave." His harshness had no real ill will in it. He was just confused and a bit too ignorant to consider his words. But, he was testing your patience. He continued to use the screwdriver until handing it to you without saying a word.
"Hand me a screw.", he demanded with his hand facing palm up again. "Which size?" "They're all the same sizes, dumbass." You feel your blood begin to boil. "They're different fucking sizes! This one is smaller than this one!", you hold up two screws that are obviously different sizes. This makes Karl angry. Not because you were right, but because you seemed upset over something that seemed so insignificant.
"If you came here just to yap in my ear, then I don't think I need your assistance.", he huffed. You put the selection of tools and supplies he was making you hold on the table he is working on and ball your fists. "You're the one who told me to do this in the first place!", you yell. "Yeah, because you won't stop bitching! Non-stop you're always compla-" you cut him off before he can finish. "SHUT UP!", you yell. The room goes silent. "YOU SAY I'M BITCHING? HAVE YOU HEARD YOURSELF? JESUS FUCKING CHRIST KARL YOU BITCH AND MOAN ALL THE TIME! I'M DONE TAKING SHIT FROM YOU!" He wanted to be angry, but he couldn't. He felt something much more overwhelming. Was he.. intimidated? He didn't move from his seat. All he could do was look up at you with a confused expression. What now? What is there to do? If he pushes you further, what would happen? He was actually too scared to find out.
You take a deep breath to calm down before speaking. "Now, if you want me to help with your shit, I'll stay as long as you keep your mouth shut. Can you possibly manage to do that?" He gulps nervously. "Yes ma'am."

You guessed, it's me again
How would the lords react to a very knowledgeable S/O who loves to learn whatever they can put their hands on no matter if it is a language or to wielding or dancing, THEY'RE READY. Oh and also they're really honest and have a booming laughter (Headcanons of course)
Tumblr media
A/n: Welcome back my child, we're all back on our bullshit tbh. Thank you for the request, I fuggin love writing anything Resident evil
@rabid-d0g
Tumblr media
Plot: Requested
Warnings: Chaotic Y/n, cussing, violence, that’s about it tbh
LADY DIMITRESCU
· She loves how knowledgeable you are, even if she can get envious that your knowledge surpasses her own
· She will buy you any book you could ever imagine, feeding into your curiosity and need to learn
· Alcina is often amazed by how quickly you learn languages, she watched you learn French in 3 days because there was a book you wanted to read
· When it comes to wielding weapons, Mother Miranda save her she’s terrified
· You’re so small and fragile and she doesn’t want you to end up hurting yourself
· That fear was ended in a rather ridiculous predicament of a Morticia attacking you, which caused you to scream while repeatedly whacking it with a sword
· You had tried to play it off smoothly, grinning up at your lover, but she’d seen everything and was cackling
· She’s the one that teaches you to dance, pleased by how quickly you picked up on it.
· You two now dance together almost nightly, the girls think it’s disgustingly sweet
· The first time she encountered your naive honesty was when you had anciently broken one of her favorite vases.
· She was used to the girls and maids alike lying to stay clear of her fury, but you looked up at her with red puffy eyes and a trembling bottom lip and admitted to breaking it
· She’s tried and failed in getting you to lie, you’re just so honest, and at times it can be infuriating when it’s a situation when the truth is best kept a secret
· Alcina adores your laugh
· She could be in the foulest mood, but as soon as she hears the booming, boisterous laughter the mood seemingly disappears.
· She will do anything to see you smile and hear your laughter, it makes her feel alive and full of love.
· Alcina overall loves you unconditionally, flaws and all.
SALVATORE MOREAU
· Salvatore loves how intelligent you are, the two of you constantly bouncing ideas off each other
· He may not be the same man he was before the Cadou, but he’s still a doctor and therefor is super smart
· He has a plethora of books for you to read, and if your eyes or head hurt from reading, he’ll read to you
· The fact that you can learn languages so fast baffles him, he’s asked you about it before, but only got a sly smirk and ‘a magician never reveals their secret’ in return
· He never doubted your ability to wield a weapon, the way you two had met was him finding you on his land violently bashing in a Lycan’s skull
· Though the idea of you having a gun did make him a bit wary, you wielded it like you were born with a gun in your hand, so he had no reason for concern
· So, the thing about dancing is Salvatore has two left feet, mans is awful at dancing
· You’ve seen him eat shit while he was walking on flat ground, let alone dancing
· When you taught yourself how to dance it was a solo thing, but he adores getting to watch
· He’s fascinated by your beauty, the way your body moves. Everything about you is entrancing to our favorite fish man
· When it comes to your honesty, it’s never bothered him
· He’s also naively honest, so if anyone wants to know info they immediately go to the reservoir
· Karl has asked jokingly what Salvatore’s nether regions looked like and you told him point blank much to his horror (he no longer asks joking questions)
· Salvatore at first was startled by your laughter
· It was so loud and sudden that it had taken him off guard
· Now it’s his favorite sound, your laugh is infectious and makes him laugh
· His favorite kind of laugh is when its booming laughter mixed with snorts, because those are reserved for his jokes alone, it makes his chest feel warm and full
· He’s a shyer lover to have, but once you’ve gotten through his shell you two are a match made in heaven
DONNA BENEVIENTO
· So, Donna knew you were smart from the start, so your intelligence has never caught her off guard.
· She’s the one that will never doubt your abilities and is almost never caught by surprise by the things you can do.
· You’ve recited an entire book from memory to her before and she didn’t even bat an eyelash, she knows her partner is smart
· When it comes to languages, she’s more curious than anything, asking how you can remember so many or how you can learn them so fast
· You explain to her that they just come easily to you and they just make sense, she takes it
· Her favorite language you’ve learned is ASL, you two use it when she doesn’t have energy to talk or use Angie to talk
· She will buy you as many books as you want, and will listen to you read them (Even if they make no sense to her) while she sews or works on her dolls
· She loves your voice and could listen to it for hours, it’s soothing for her to listen to you, especially if she’s having a bad day
· Donna supports you wanting to learn how to wield a bo staff
· She loves watching you train, even if it means getting up early to see you work out before you begin your training
· You protect the house itself now, no one has gotten into the house and survived after you taught yourself how to fight
· Donna loves dancing, but is shy when it comes to dancing when it’s in front of others, gently encourage her and she’ll teach you
· She’s a wonderful teacher, and you two could dance for hours, moving perfectly in sync. It’s hypnotizing to watch honestly.
· She likes that you’re honest, it’s nice to have someone in her life who doesn’t lie or who isn’t cryptic
· It’s like a breath of fresh air for her
· Your laughter? My god she blushes every time she hears it
· She loves your laughter, and can’t help but laugh along any time she hears it
· You’re the only person alive who’s heard her laugh, or can make her laugh
· Usually, she’s wary of loud sounds but you bring her out of her shell
· Donna is the most supportive lord, she’s never once doubted you
KARL HEISENBERG
· You two are a chaotic fucking duo who will bring the end
· Both of you are intelligent, bordering genius
· Karl lets you read all his books, which means you know just as much about metal, war and more
· He recruits you in his fight against Miranda
· You two speak in different languages all the time, mostly so other people can’t understand the confidential conversations you’re having, you can never be too safe.
· With your combined intelligence things at the factory go a lot smoother, and things aren’t as horrendous as they are in the games
· You guys still do some fucked up stuff, but all is fair in war, I guess?
· Karl is 1000% behind you in learning how defend yourself
· He even teaches you how to, and is offended and pouting when in your second session you knock him on his ass
· Even the Lycans are scared of you after seeing you beat one to death with your bare hands for destroying your blueprints.
· None of the other lords fuck with you, you and Karl give off a terrifying energy when you’re together
· You two don’t have much down time, but when you mentioned wanting to learn how to dance, Karl had taught you.
· He’d been quite the dancer in his day, and found that it was nice to have a dancing partner again
· It’s a rare thing, but when you two dance it’s very intimate, full of love and unspoken promises
· I think Karl would like your laughter the most
· Because you two live in a very scary and bland world where a war is building, so happiness is far and in between
· So when he hears your laughter it’s like a gift from the universe
· Any time he hears your laughter he tries his best to engrave it in his brain, eyes full of love and chest full of warmth
· I think overall you and Karl have the hardest relationship to maintain, but by pure love and respect for each other, it all works out

Hello! Um... I don’t really know how to start this but say I love your hc! I think you do a fantastic job on them, there all very sweet but being the s.o.b I am I’m here to ask for some angst. How would you think the lords act if their S/O died?
...I'm feeling mean. 😈
Warnings: Angst, Death, Horror Game villains making bad decisions/not coping with tragedy, suicide.
Alcina Dimitrescu
Denial, Denial, Denial
You can't be dead. There has to be something, anything that she can do to save you. Alcina scrambles for a solution, attacking the problem from all sides, despite the reality of the situation staring her in the face.
Immediately injects your body with Cadou in a desperate hope to save you. Any possible chance that he has to save you she's going to take it.
It's not likely that your corpse reanimates, but it does mutate. At the end of the process, what's left of your body hardly even looks like you anymore, and she can't bring herself to look at it.
She builds a gilded crypt for your body-- it's stunning. It's inspired by you, all your favorite colors, styles and hobbies are incorporate to make the room feel full of your spirit. Alcina is an artistic woman, and she throws herself into the project like she's possessed.
It might take years, even decades to complete. It has to be perfect. When it's done she feels accomplished, but twice as empty. It might be one of the most beautiful dedications she's ever made, but it can't replace you. She has the room sealed off with no way to get to it, so she can't be tempted to visit. She just needs a piece of of you still in her home, or she can't get through the day.
...If your corpse does reanimate, it's actually worse for Alcina. Whatever she brought back was a shambling, horrifying mess of mold wearing your face. It couldn't think for itself, or even follow commands--it just wanders in circles and attacks anything that gets too close.
She keeps your reanimated corpse in a cell, unable to bring herself to destroy it completely. Sometimes, she'll go down to the basement and talk to the thing like it is you, telling it about her day, having one-sided conversations and thinking of all the wonderful memories the two of you shared.
When its dead eyes meet hers, her lungs seize in her chest and tears gather in her eyes. Alcina doesn't cry often, but when your corpse meets her gaze she starts to sob. Those eyes used to look at her with life and love and now...
Still, she can't stop herself from visiting it. It's a compulsion she can't stop, and it tears open the wound every time, but some irrational part of her deep, deep down thinks that one day, she'll descend those steps and you'll be there to greet her with a warm smile.
In either scenario, she will never have another partner. You're impossible to replace, and she feels truly, genuinely empty without you. Rest well, Darling. You'll never be forgotten.
Donna Beneviento
There is such a thing as a last straw, and this is it for Donna.
Please remember: this is a woman who has lost everything. Mother Miranda might have given her a new "family", but Donna is not nearly as attached to these new members as she is to her original family. And the loss of her original family has shaped her in such a way that if you died? She would be absolutely devastated.
It's not fair to put this kind of pressure on you, but in a very real way you were her last hope for normalcy. She had all these plans to fix her family with you. You were so instrumental to her hopes for the future that now that you're gone, it feels like she has no hope at all. You were her missing link, her one true love, and now that you're dead...
Donna screams until her throat is raw when she finds out you're gone. Angie can't help her, nothing can. She just can't cope with reality anymore.
She'll build a life sized Doll of you to try to help herself cope, but the minute she tries to implant of piece of her Cadou in it, she is filled with such a vehement hatred of the thing that she starts scream-crying before she takes an axe to it's face and hacks it to pieces. How dare it pretend to be you?!! It's not even close to the real thing, she shouldn't even have tried--
She might try to induce a hallucination of you to help her get through the day to day, but it's not the same. She can't perfectly mimic your laugh, or your smile, or the way you tuck her hair away from her face. It's so obviously not you, and Donna is... alone.
I do hate to say it, but she will absolutely try to kill herself if you died. You were the one person who understood her, empathized with her, and you were her best friend. You were her support system, the one person who could carry her through the worst times in her life, but you're gone. Donna can't believe that anyone else could be there for her like you were.
Salvatore Moreau
Absolutely, irreparably broken.
When the two of you were in a relationship, you busied yourself not only with smothering Salvatore in all of the love and affection that you could, but you also did a lot to help his self-esteem and mental health.
You made sure he knew that he was loved, that you could never hate him, and even on your death bed you make him promise never to forget how wonderful he is.
Once you're gone, though, Salvatore cracks.
He clings to every bit of you felt behind. All of your jewelry, clothing, pictures and sentimental items are preserved to the best of his ability. Your living space is transformed into a shrine dedicated to you.
It's not healthy, but he also deifies you in his memory. Mother Miranda is no longer the only person that he worships-- the memory of you is now sacred to him. You become something holy and perfect in his mind's eye. It doesn't matter how many flaws you had in reality, your death has turned even your worst flaws into traits to be admired and praised. His perception of you is totally twisted.
Speaking of Mother Miranda, he regresses a lot. His adoration of Mother Miranda was something you were helping him work through, but now he's right back at square one, and even worse off than before.
Moreau can't make a decision on his own anymore--from what to say, to what to do, and sometimes even what to eat. After all, it's his fault that you died, isn't it? You were his partner and he used to be is a doctor. How could he possibly trust himself with anything when he couldn't manage to save the most important thing in his life?
To the rest of his family, he's more pathetic than before. His obsession with his Mother was usually limited to when she was in the room, but now it's constant.
If he ever hears the quote "It's better to have loved and lost, then never loved at all," he gets supremely, violently angry. No. No, that's not true, it's bullshit, how dare you even say that to his face.
If he hadn't loved you, you would be alive. He would be alone, but you would be safe. You would be happy.
Now he's alone, and all you are is dead. He can't ever come back from it.
Karl Heisenberg
Rage. Unending, earth shattering Rage.
Whatever killed you better start to fucking pray, because Karl Heisenberg will not quit until it's suffering.
He doesn't kill who or whatever it was. He let's it sit there, mangled beyond belief, and uses his knowledge of mechanics and biology to keep it alive in constant, unending pain.
It's cathartic for him, but not in a healthy way. The more he hurts it, the better he feels, but at the end of the day, you're still gone, and he's still alone.
He's... lost.
Heisenberg should be angry, fuck he wants to be angry more than anything, but the longer he keeps the thing alive... emotions seem like they're too far away anymore. He wants to scream, he wants to cry, he wants... you.
He keeps something of yours in his pocket at all times, just to run his fingers over it and remember you. Your eyes, your laugh, your smile... It's almost like a stress ball, and these days sticking his hand into his pocket to wrap his fingers around the thing is the only way he can calm down.
Sometimes he turns to ask your opinion on something, or tell you a joke with a big smile on his face because this one is going to make you laugh for sure-- and then he freezes when the reality sets in once again. You're not here.
Remember, Heisenberg has idealized the two of you as this perfect partnership. You were the first person who looked at him and loved everything that you saw. You weren't just his first real relationship, the first person that he implicitly trusted, but you were also his very first real friend.
He wasn't the most friendly person to begin with, but he did get better because of you. He was still spoiled, a little socially awkward, and maybe his dark sense of humor would slip and get a little too much, but he grew as a person.
Now that you're gone, he can't even remember what it's like not being a cruel, empty shell of rage. All he has left is his hatred of Mother Miranda.
After a while, it doesn't matter if he's ready to take her on or not. He's going to face that bitch head on and kill her, or die trying.
If he wins, he's finally free. If he doesn't... that's not so bad either. Karl doesn't really believe in an afterlife, but there's something appealing about joining you wherever you might be.

Rusted Remnants
Tumblr media
Pairing: Karl Heisenberg x mutant!Reader
Warnings: past noncon, smut, dirty talk, Stockholm syndrome, violence, mention of human experiments, swearing.
Words: 1924.
Summary: You felt better knowing he wouldn't have to leave for quite some time now, staring at the man as he leaned back against the pillow, watching the smoke slowly disappear in the air - Heisenberg wasn't your darling, but he's the only one who kept you sane in that fucking hole where human life mattered so little. Among other Lords he's the only one who had the resolve to fight that heartless bitch hiding behind the façade of a holy mother.
____________________
When a bearded man in sunglasses opened the door with a grinding, abrasive sound, you felt both fear and relief - Heisenberg was a mean son of a bitch who couldn’t stand people crossing him on anything, and you learned that the hard way. However, thanks to that insanely strong bastard who could smash in a Lycan’s skull with one swing of his hammer, you were still safe in his hideout, not having to worry about mutilated monsters this place was swarming with.
Besides, even though Heisenberg was as rotten and disgusting as any other Lord, he still had more human in him than Dimitrescu, Beneviento and Moreau altogether.
“Did you miss me, little monster?” He smirked, watching you laying in bed with some cheap romance novel you traded for bullets with the Duke: you had little hobbies since you barely left Heisenberg’s factory.
You rolled your eyes, knowing he hadn’t been home for a couple of days and now needed to get under your skin, feeding off your emotions like Alcina fed off her victims’ blood. It was something like a routine to him: he needed to know you had something human in you, too.
“Who else do you expect me to miss?” you snorted, leaving a worn book with a dirty yellow cover on the bed. “You know I don’t like when you leave for so long.”
“It’s not like I like it either.”
Leaving his monstrous hammer on the table full of blueprints, drawings, nails and all other things you were forbidden to touch, he took his glasses off, and you saw his weary eyes, the blood vessels widened in their white. It didn't happen often, but from time to time Heisenberg would abandon his façade of a smug, careless bastard, and then you could catch a glimpse of a deadly tired man who had long lost any hope to ever free himself from Miranda’s death grip. Something had happened in those couple of days when he had been wandering the woods and catacombs filled with Lycans, Samcăs, and Vârcolacs, and it certainly wasn’t good news if it stripped Heisenberg of his endless complacency.
Quietly slipping away from the bed, you put your shoes on while the man in front of you left his coat hanging on a chair and stilled, his dirty hands on the desk as he stared at it blankly. While he stood there, motionless, you turned on the large faucet in an improvised shower cabin - everything there had been old and rusty, and you needed time to adjust the temperature of water from icy cold to bearable cool or even hot if you were lucky enough. Thankfully, Karl never protested against showering, washing away dry blood, machine oil, muck and filth.
Saying nothing, you carefully lifted his hat, unclasped the belt on his chest and started unbuttoning his dirty shirt - nobody would believe it had been white once. Finally, Heisenberg came back to his senses, smirking and letting you strip him of his clothes, leaving his pants and huge heavy boots on the floor. As he stepped into the shower, he dragged you with him behind the old plastic curtains full of holes, and your nightgown got drenched within a couple of seconds, water pouring over your head. You didn’t protest anymore, knowing the man wouldn’t let you go until he blew off some steam, pushing you into a wet stone wall and wrecking you ass till you started sobbing - he loved when you squeezed his fat cock with your pussy, but Heisenberg couldn’t risk getting you pregnant, leaving his child to be endlessly tortured by that holy bitch until she turned his baby into some fucking monster doll. Sometimes he could buy some condoms from the Duke, but it was still a rare occasion, so most of the time Heisenberg spent using your other holes, filling you to the brim with his cum until he felt satisfied.
"Wearing that white nightgown like some noble slut from Alcina's castle." he growled into your ear from behind, grinding against your ass, his callous fingers gripping your hips as he forced you spread your legs for him. "Did you do it on purpose, baby? Did you want to bounce on my cock so bad?"
Turning your head to him, you didn't get a chance to speak up when the man crashed his mouth into yours, his arm lifting up the drenched fabric of your nightgown and baring your flesh. Landing a loud smack to your ass, he grinned through the kiss: he loved it when you behaved well around him, taking whatever he was giving you like a good girl you were.
You didn’t mind. At first the thought of him touching you had been giving you panic attacks and nausea, but as years flew by, nothing changing in this Hell of a place where sanity was a privilege, you clung to Heisenberg in a desperate attempt to feel human again - even if it was something as primitive as grinding your bodies against each other.
As he rubbed his cock in between your shaking thighs pressed together, you moaned, the water cascading down your bodies while Heisenberg fondled your breasts, biting and nipping his way down your neck.
"You're going nowhere until I fuck the shit out of you."
_________
Breathing in the smell of his Cuban cigars, you watched Heisenberg smoke as he laid close to you, his naked body barely covered by a blanket: his skin was littered with nasty scars, and it seemed like every centimeter of it had once been burned, cut or bitten. Some of them were so old you could barely see them, others relatively knew where the scar tissue was still angry red and thick: most of the time he got them while working on his personal army down there, but with his regenerative abilities they were like a kitten bite to him. Of course, even of they weren't, Heisenberg would still pretend like it was nothing, wearing his shit-eating grin.
"The holy whore is up to something," he says after long minutes of silence, ash falling to the floor from his cigar, "and I don't like that I know fucking nothing of her plans."
You felt better knowing he wouldn't have to leave for quite some time now, staring at the man as he leaned back against the pillow, watching the smoke slowly disappear in the air - Heisenberg wasn't your darling, but he's the only one who kept you sane in that fucking hole where human life mattered so little. Among other Lords he's the only one who had the resolve to fight that heartless bitch hiding behind the façade of a holy mother. You couldn't call him sane, but he had enough sanity to remember what Miranda did to all of you and how fucking twisted was her desire to have a family. You weren't her children, regardless how many times Moreau was going to call her his mother. Whatever she did to you or those miserable villagers, her cannon fodder, she did only to revive her real daughter, and the thought had been making you sick since the times Heisenberg told you about Miranda's past.
"You think it's something big?"
"Yeah. She keeps disappearing into thin air, and I can't find a trace of her anywhere at all."
You grew silent, staring at the blanket with empty eyes: it certainly wasn't a good sign. Where was she going if even Heisenberg couldn't locate her? Was she crossing the forest to get to the outer world? The last time it happened she brought to the world one more horrifying monster with a face of a little girl. The only thing you knew about her was that she was destroyed a couple of years ago, just a failed experiment like all those Miranda had been involved in.
"I think she partners up with someone, some organization that can give her what she wants like, you knew, she did before." You muttered, and Heisenberg stared at you, narrowing his frightening light eyes.
"With whom could the old bitch partner?"
"I don't know, but I know she brought someone with her, willingly or not."
Now you had his full attention as he turned to you, his eyes burning a hole in your face. "Who did she bring here? How the fuck do you know?"
Rolling over to your stomach and hugging a pillow - a real pillow you got from the Duke a month ago, not that pile of garbage the man had been sleeping on for ages - you let out a loud sigh. You weren’t eager to go exploring the factory even though you knew where his soldiers were, but you couldn't just stay in his room for the rest of your days, and sometimes you would get out for a couple of hours, wandering empty corridors with rusted doors.
At first it was subtle. You knew this place well, but you couldn't sense monsters or people getting in the way Miranda did even after Cadou implantation. You just wandered the same places over and over, collecting semi-precious stones, bullets and other things you could trade for something with a merchant. As the time flew by, the feeling of uneasiness was washing over you as you stepped into certain rooms, got into certain places. There was nothing peculiar there, nothing that would catch your attention, but something was still eating you up as if you knew something wasn't right.
At one point you realized that what disturbed you were things moving from their original places - changes were small, barely noticeable for someone who didn't spend hundreds of hours walking around here, but you could know put your finger on what was wrong. Who was it? You knew it weren't the Lords who had no business here. Besides, the Master of Metal could always feel their presence. Obviously, it weren't humans from the village for whom the factory was sacred, and monsters possessed too little intelligence to put things on their places in the very same order. You thought it could be Mother Miranda, but she wouldn't be sneaky if she really wanted to show Heisenberg his place.
Now it all made sense. You knew the outer world would learn about this place sooner or later, especially after that monster girl incident, and it only proved the idea Miranda brought someone with her.
"I think it's someone smart, Karl. Someone who will either destroy Miranda or try to take control of her - and us, maybe." You said after telling him about your little adventures, and the man smirked, stroking your back. Of course, after her little Eveline had been released into the world, he had thoughts about other organizations having their fair share of Megamycete,
“Someone we can use against her, then.” He whispered, his eyes dark and perceptive as he leant closer, dropping a kiss to your shoulder, his complacency getting back as he sent you a smug grin, slapping your ass loudly. “Good job, little monster. Good job.”
Rolling you over on your back, he got on top of you, pushing your legs apart and licking his lips at the sight of your naked pussy right in front of him, his fingers digging into the soft flesh of your thighs.
“I’ve forgot to tell you baby," he grinned at you when you squirmed from his touch, his thumb already tracing tiny little circles against your clit. “I’ve got a rubber, so you better milk me dry with that sweet little cunt of yours.”
