Like at first, they tried to save Dalia in a desperate way to try and preserve their humanity and now they’re like “hell yeah I’ll take on red’s job and kill for you guys 😁👍”

yes!!! and it’s been an interesting journey to write about :D

like, we have someone that KNOWS they’re wrong somehow - that the experiment they went through changed them at their core, yet they still try to remain human despite clearly no longer being such. how could they be anything else?

and as they progress and find themselves once more, they realize that to have the life they want, to live in peace with their beloveds (who are also morally wrong), they must become a worse version of themself. their previous innocence will not do them any favors in this world.

I love unreliable narrators, it sucks when people don’t know how to read more than black and white character writing

i do too!! i love reading and writing them; it makes for a very interesting way to tell a story and have you doubt what you’ve been told. makes you really use your noggin sometimes to piece together the bits of truth you’re given :3

the sad thing is that i’ve also stated Reader is an unreliable narrator in a way 😭 they’re very biased on top of that and so, of course, not everything is going to be logical or, like you said, black and white

nope! i probably should have in my notes somewhere, although this did make me think…

if i had to choose now (or, in a sense, if Reader had to choose a name for themself…), i’d go with:

-Vanja (meaning either “God is gracious” or strength, grace, and gratitude)

-Luka (bright or shining)

-Aleksandra (but Alek for short, maybe after discovering they were non-binary)
