So since tptm “kind of” deals with multiple realities (loosely using the term bc reader doesn’t actually leave their own universe), does that mean there is a reality where Miranda is more motherly to reader? Like she actually treats them as if they were her kid based on their affinity to the mold and how similar they are to her?

anything is possible with multiple realities :3 but i would say so, yes! because this Reader we know (the one we follow) has such a high affinity to the mold, they are treated much better than others in the past Miranda has dealt with. if the circumstances were different, they could have been more familial with one another.

that also means that if the original Miranda from their reality was the one to experiment on them, they might have been a family from the start. she might have taken them under her wing and treated them as her own.

as it stands, the Miranda we know has been doing this for centuries. this is the sixth time (iirc) she’s tried to use them to bring Eva back, and she’s been blinded by her grief to see how well they adapted to the mold and how similar they were to her until it was too late. perhaps in another reality, they get a happier ending.

Pre-tptm reader my beloved… This might not make sense but what if Lunny was able to somehow find baby!reader and take care of them? They are The siblings ever and I love them to bits

canonically, it wouldn’t make sense, but for entertainment purposes…

i’m imagining Lunatic finding the situation absolutely hilarious and laughs their ass off at baby!Reader, but they also understand that this is a literal baby and they somehow have to take care of it. how? they don’t know and don’t understand why this little thing is crying all the time…

and yknow how Lunatic is typically very frightening and sharp? like, the mold on their body is meant to be sharp and pointy because their mutation is offensive (instead of defensive). but baby!Reader wants to cling to them and cuddle into their feathers and they’re just… so baffled.

but imagine Lunatic holding them close and keeping them safe, all wrapped up in their wings… they become a crow at one point to keep baby!Reader entertained and have a feather plucked out… your honor, i love them.

Imagine Reader being in danger and both their bio mom and Miranda are out there running to help them 😭 and they argue like "they're mine >:("

WAIT BAHAHA. i’m imagining they’re both defending themselves like:

Bio Mom: “I pushed them out and raised them from birth! I’m their mother!”

Miranda: “I helped them from their rebirth and ensured their safety in my world! I’m their mother here!”

i actually did plan to write a Miranda fic at one point (that was more of a character study) but i’ve never gotten around to finishing it :/ i would love ideas though!

I love how complicated their relationship is because like… Miranda HAS been taking care of reader for a really long time (watching over them as a baby/child and ensuring their mom has enough money to take care of them, like you said once) and though she tried to kill them for a while, she’s now back to leaving them snack packages, giving them vials of medicine, keeping them “safe”… I love them

no because imagine Miranda says something along the lines of, “I took care of them during their stay.” while Reader is thin, their cheeks gaunt, walking with a cane, hands moldy, and has other new scars… and their mom has tunnel vision and immediately throws hands upon seeing her baby.
