You & my partner have gotten me on the Martlet x The Roba pairing train so I gotta ask; was there an 'O h.' moment for either of them when they had the realization?

i think they would both have an “o h” moment. i think martlet would have it during the period between clover dying and the barrier being broken. the crew spends a lot of time together, broken with grief, and struggling to support themselves. so martlet travels from snowdin to the dunes a LOT. suddenly her big ass house is too big, shes so separated from her friends so far away. she has dalv, but he wasnt there for clovers death and didnt see what she did. ceroba knows the feeling well. so i think martlet spends a lot of time with ceroba at her house; doesnt move in, because she cant bear to let go of her house, but spends a lot of time there.

you would expect martlet to have a big exciting moment of realization but i think she would just. realize it on a random day. and THEN she would freak out and immediately avoid ceroba and talk to starlo. who tries his best to stop martlet from panicking and mitigate damages but they both realize how stricken and traumatized ceroba still is from chujin and kanako and clover so. they cant really do anything about it. so unfortunately now starlo is subjected to martlets ramblings and lovestricken conversations like shes a teenager wirh a first crush

CEROBA HOWEVER. DOES get a big “aw fuck” moment. when they get to the surface she asks martlet to move in with her; it just makes sense, now that they’ve spent so much time together. might as well. so martlet moves in and just fits right in, taking care of kanako and ceroba when she needs it, being handy, and just generally being a good roommate! and then ceroba watches martlet teach kanako how to woodwork, both of them struggling to read martlets blueprints and stumbling around trying to find a single nail and she cant help but laugh and realize how happy she is. how she never thought she would see her family happy like this again after chujin. and then she realizes that.. she feels the same way about martlet as she did chujin. she sees a partner (platonic at the time, anyways) helping raise a child and live in her house and show affection to anyone and everyone, even her, and she realizes she loves martlet

and then she ALSO dumps all this info to starlo who sits there like “my god my dumbass bisexual friends dont want to talk to each other”

If you're seeing this, I'm either randomly showing up or you've probably seen my Ask Aislin blog. It's my first Tumblr blog and first ever ask blog, so it's not expected to blow up like others, especially since it's about an oc.

I ended up finding Nyctomatter's UTY but the wheel picks their fate video and decided to try it myself, replacing Froggit with F!Aislin and spinning for double death chapter, and here is the current framework:

Protag: AXIS (for like 5 seconds)

Antag: Starlo (not likely on purpose)

Support: Moray

Chapter 1

Victim: Clover

Blackened: Flowey (who's the idiot now?)

Chapter 2

Victims: Mo, AXIS

Blackened: Dalv (likely on accident out of fear or reflex)

New protag: El Bailador (positive energy to lead the group plus a chance for rhythm based minigames)

Chapter 3 (aka when the wheel really decided to start hating Starlo)

New support: Kanako

Chapter 4

Victim: Ceroba

Blackened: Chujin (dude, that's your wife- you just orphaned your daughter-)

I don't have much planned, so feel free to recommend talents, motives, executions (although I have an idea for Chujin's that's vaguely FNaF like despite me not being a FNaF fan), and so on!

Funny short answer? Yeah, he'd be pissed. He cannot stand Starlo and the fact that Star's flirting with Ceroba long after the fact would make him gag

Serious, longer answer (because I am diseased and must talk about them)? No, I don't think he'd actually be upset.

If Chujin's ghost gets to witness everything that happens after his death, I don't think he'd be angry Ceroba eventually enters another relationship. He's dead, but she's not; he wants her to be happy and move on. Honestly, he'd probably be very worried watching her not make more connections, platonic and romantic, after he passes away. She doesn't NEED another romantic relationship necessarily, but it's not good for her to close herself off from others.

Being with Starlo helps her connect with people again. She makes friends in Dalv and Martlet and others, stops closing herself up emotionally, stops drinking to cope with the pain at the saloon. A lot of that is her own strength, her own determination to keep living on and be happy for herself, but Starlo does play a part in that and helps her out. That's something Chujin's ghost would appreciate.

Starlo treats her right, is always there for her emotionally, offers her comfort and any kind of support she requires, makes her smile and makes her laugh. Yes, Chujin finds him very aggravating and honestly still disagrees with a lot of his politics and opinions, but even he can't deny Starlo's a good man. And if being with him makes Ceroba happy, he has no complaints. He would fully support her dating and eventually marrying Starlo.

Them adopting a human child and having them move into the house he built, though...

(He's okay with it. He's learning to make peace with it. It's fine. This is fine.)

My thoughts on Momlet are basically that Martlet wouldn't be able to see herself as a mother to Clover because she's a young adult still trying to find her place in the world and to her, it would feel weird to have to suddenly be a mom. She still looks out for Clover's well-being, like making sure they have dinner on the table and listens to them when they speak, but they also look out for her like bringing her keys to her when she forgets them at home.

My thoughts on Dadlo are basically that Starlo initially wouldn't be able to see himself as a dad to Clover because that's his pardner, the loyal deputy to his noble sheriff-schtick. He's still as wholly supportive of Clover as he was when he was training them to be his deputy, but responsible he is not. Clover's the one who has to remember to shut off the machines once the Feisty Five + One are done with a mission. As Clover grows up by his side, Starlo's tune would change to be something like "Heh, yeah, I practically raised them so they're basically my kid 😏." It's too bad that Clover sheriff-zoned him a long time ago.

My thoughts on Ceroba being Clover's mom (Cero-ma?) are basically that Ceroba would have a lot of guilt attached to looking after Clover. This is the kid that she nearly murdered, and in her darkest, lowest, most depressive moments she still contemplates killing them and fulfilling Chujin's legacy because healing isn't linear, and now she's looking after them. They forgave her but that doesn't take away the attempted homicide. And what about Kanako? Is she essentially abandoning/replacing her daughter by looking after Clover? Ceroba would love Clover to bits but thoughts like that would haunt her, at least until the Barrier breaks and Kanako comes back home.

My thoughts on Dadlv are basically that Dalv sees Clover as his friend, the feeling is mutual, and they have a nice and normal adult-child friendship. (Why is Dadlv a thing????)

My thoughts on Clover seeing their friends as their parents are basically that it wouldn't happen. They had a life on the Surface, and I headcanon that they had a mom and a (step)dad in their life; they were just bad parents and their parenting kind of ruined Clover's idea of what a mom and dad is. None of the monsters they befriended fit perfectly into the textbook idea of how a mom or dad should behave unlike Toriel, who they've completely forgotten about at this point, but that's okay! They're not exactly parents but they are Clover's family and that's what matters.

Thoughts on Dalv x Starlo

Corn yaoi isn't really my thing. Part of it is because they've only interacted once, but we can speculate about their future interactions, so it all depends on how the person sees their dynamic.

It's not the differences in personality that are a problem either (it can go either way, again, it's all subjective).

The issue I see are: 1) different climates and locations, and 2) completely different lifestyles.

Dalv would have to move to Wild East, but I don't think he'd be able to adjust to the Ff's goofy antics. WE is a tourist destination and idk, honestly I don't think the vampire man would fit well there. He needs his children's books and his solitude (even tho he's becoming more social). The high temperatures would also be a problem

If Star went to live with him in Snowdin, even bigger problem. He couldn't abandon Ceroba, the group, or his role as an entertainer (his biggest dream), or even his family, which lives nearby. Also, the low temperatures aren't for him. Poor guy would freeze; he's cut out for deserts

El Bailador on the other hand lives in the Dunes + is deeply passionate about something just like Star is so there would be no "You're acting too crazy please calm down" + I feel like Bail would be completely supportive and understanding and open with his emotions (unlike Ceroba who doesn't understand the amount of dedication Star has). I'm not crazy for the Dancing Stars ship, but to me it makes sense in every way.

I'm not sure what it would be like with Dalv since there's been only 1 interaction, but if they can work out their differences personality-wise and if their love languages match, I see the potential 100%. It's the more "practical" side of the relationship that makes me doubt it would work out, though. Only if it's long distance, imo. Who knows, maybe they'd both be ok with that. This is a hc for Star, but I think long distance isn't his thing. Dalv would be fine with it.

soooo how’s the Underfell yellow gang feeling after pacifist true ending?

The main 4 end up becoming a friendgroup that keep in touch after the events of the AU. Though ceroba specifically struggles for a while because she tries to go against Asgore and fails which sends her into a depression.

Havent decided if Martlet stays in the guard or not after. Thats still something that ive yet to decide? I do know that she tries to get Starlo and Orion to be on better terms.

Starlo gets a bit humbled and he tones his act down, especially when he tries to be a source of support for his childhood friend while she loses all hope in everything.

I know Dalv at least finds friendship in the three which is a lot more than the few interactions he got in the ruins. he's actually seen in the wild east a lot despite his complaining about the temperature.

I love the idea of Dalv having vampiric tendencies, and Starlo not getting it but being enthusiastically supportive anyways. He needs the occasional blood? Yeah that’s cool, he can just suck his blood :D (assuming he had any? What’s the rules for undertale yellow?)

UPDATE: I finally got stuck and went on Youtube beat Undertale Yellow! All in all, I really liked it! It's infested that part of my brain where things go that are fun enough to invest time in, but also have enough scattered potential for some really good fanfic/art.

I do agree with a lot of the critiques, and I'm glad to see a lot of stuff added in Version 1.1 to make life easier (bug fixes, Easy Mode, recovery items, etc). I'm hoping there's a 1.2 version later that adds even more quality-of-life. That said, a lot of the critiques aren't... really... things that seem feasible for a patch update. ("Make the character art more monstrous!" You mean, redraw every sprite in the game!?!)

So with that in mind, here are some things I'd love to see in 1.2 that are maybe (hopefully!) easier for a freelance dev team. Spoilers below!

Adjusted mechanics/dialogue for bosses that have no reason to kill you. This is most obvious with Starlo and Martlet's Pacifist fights--both are friendly and reluctant towards murder, so their Pacifist fights ending in death or defeat feels... odd? Compare to Toriel or Papyrus: one will adjust her attacks to never hit if you take too much damage, and another will cut his battle entirely if you hit 1 hp. A similar form of 1-hp cutoff or "Oops, that was an accident!" Game Over dialogue would match their motivations a lot better.

Related to the above, offer a Skip option for any battle the player's lost 3+ times. This is a common video game handicap, and one I always support in story-heavy games like this. A lot of feedback I've seen is from people who want to love the story but struggled with Sir Slither's ACT pattern or Axis's breakout puzzle, so this is an easy way to get most people to finish the game.

Have Dalv gift you any items you missed in the Ruins as a "thank you" for Clover's support. This patch would solve two immediate concerns: that Dalv doesn't have a larger role, and that many players will miss items like the Golden Pear. Sure, Dalv sends a letter to Clover, but the incentive to go back to Snowdin at that point is low. Having some sort of item reward makes it an active part of an average game run and lets more players see Dalv post-Ruins.

Call the Sunnyside Farm a Ranch like it's called in the files. Okay, this one's just for me, but it being a Ranch makes way more thematic sense for the cowboy area.

Let Ace run the card game at least once in the Wild East. Seriously, it's kinda weird that he doesn't. I understand why he can't while he's napping, but the other times??

Edit Ceroba's post-Starlo Pacifist fight dialogue to make it more clear that she's taking you on the fastest shortcut to Asgore. The main critique with the third act to Pacifist route is that it very quickly becomes Ceroba's plot about finding Kanako. And because it's framed as a hunt for Kanako, the dialogue becomes a rush of info about who Kanako is and why this side-plot should matter to you, the player. But at this point we've already done a side-plot, and most players are antsy to get to the end game. Yet the Steamworks really is the only route to Hotland in that area! Having Ceroba guide the player through what they think is a spooky shortcut to the End Boss fits the story, braces the player for the finale, and lets the TALK dialogue with Ceroba build up naturally through the lab, so her betrayal about Kanako has more time to build up and hurts more as a final boss fight.

RV AU on hybrid souls for uty/ut

So in my Revelverse (Or Revelry Verse/RV!) for UTY and UT, Boss Monsters and Elite monsters (who can become boss monsters and are either well trained or related to a boss monster) can handle diluted injections of soul traits. This results in an unnatural Hybrid Soul.

Attempting to bind with a trait always makes them sick until they get acclimated to it. They get sicker and stay sick longer if their soul rejects the trait.

Binding sickness is flu-like, and can leave monsters that reject the trait bedridden and delirious with fever for up to four days. Those that accept the trait have a much milder sickness that lasts up to three days, but can wear off in six hours.

Human-monster hybrids naturally have Hybrid Souls. Not all of the monsters were banished when the barrier went up in RV. The monsters that stayed behind, and their hybrid children, all have illusory and/or shapeshifting magic, which allows them to pass as human. They start coming out of hiding gradually a few years before the barrier breaks.

So who has what trait in RV, and how does it affect them?

Starlo: KINDNESS. His soul is tinted green, and he has weak healing magic and fire magic alongside his attacks showcased in UTY. He is a multi-phasic monster thanks to his hybrid trait and how much influence he exerted over the Dunes, which means he has a Zenith form I dub Nova. More on that later.

Dalv: PERSEVERANCE. He's a gentle, shy monster... most of the time. Don't force his hand. Dalv is a tesla coil with a heartbeat, and in RV, once in a while, he stands up for his friends and for himself. He learned special magic designed to capture, not harm, hostiles.

Ceroba: DETERMINATION. No surprise there.

Orion: PATIENCE. This hinges on a personality headcanon I developed without playing UTY. Orion is a quiet man who doesn't bear his heart too easily, but is always a beacon of support for his friends and family. He does what he can.

Martlet: INTEGRITY. Obvious reasons are obvious.

Now, about Starlo's Nova form. His Nova form has two states: True Nova and Neutral. In True Nova, his skin brightly glows a bright shade of sunny yellow, almost white, which shifts to cyan in a gradient towards his outlines. His spines and the markings on his head simply become brighter in this state. The tendrils on his head may fold backwards, mimicking a comet tail, though they will still move to emphasize his expressions and how he's feeling. In his neutral state, his skin is the same color as the night sky. He blends in perfectly with it, also, save for the fact that his body will not mirror shooting stars. He takes this state when he has managed to get his emotions under control for the time being. He can sometimes be seen rapidly switching between Neutral and Nova, then back to Neutral as he attempts to calm himself down. This results in bright flashes of light. Unfortunately, he is quite impulsive and emotional in this state. Will try to attack people and monsters he's mad at, but will be unable to bring himself to. Such is the curse and blessing of his Hybrid Soul.

This is just a little ask/project blog inspired by Nyctomatter's Undertale Yellow Danganronpa wheel video. I've been into Danganronpa for a while and got into Undertale Yellow this summer, so I figured I'd take my own little spin at it. I'm running this blog with the help of soul-of-justice--uty, so feel free to ask us questions. Just know that if you have more storyline, bare bones questions, they'll probably end up with me anyways.

Everyone has their own memories from all timelines (Chujin and Kanako's absence meaning they only have memories up to death/injection respectively) within reason as the first sort of half-motive, so there will be rivalries and such.

Yo hey more Bounty hunter Kanako! I’ve honestly kinda fell in love with this whole au, accidentally created my own hyperfixation within a hyperfixation. So I’m going to go ramble on more about my favorite traumatized fox child.

I actually got a question from @kanorune about Kanako’s relationship with the feisty five, which also got me thinking about her relationships with everyone else, so imma start with that. To answer your question on what she thinks of Moray, her hatred towards Martlet is much more her being apart of the Royal Guard than her familiar appearence. In fact, foxes are red-green colorblind like dogs, so she wouldn’t even know that Martlet and Undyne look similar. But the similarities between Undyne and Moray are a lot more noticeable, to the point Undertale yellow even mentions the similarities, so Kanako for sure notices. The thing is, the Feisty Five are family to her, she’s an honorary member of the team and is treated as such. So when it comes to Moray, there’s conflicting feelings. She’s known him her entire childhood, he’s her partner just like the rest of the posse, but she can’t stop seeing her in him no matter what she does. So Kanako keeps her distance from Moray more then the others, which definitely upsets the poor guy, those he never says it. He does his best to reach out and be supportive, but there’s moments where he can feel her eyes burn in the back of his neck, and he knows there’s little holding her back from ripping it open. As for the other four, Kanako will never admit it, but she loves being carried around by Ed. Her and Mooch like to do crime together, Kanako distracts while Mooch does Mooch things. Ace finds Kanako to be a worthy card game opponent with a poker face that can rival his own, whenever Kanako finds herself bored while Starlo’s out drinking you’ll probably find her playing rummy with him. Also fun fact, Ace is the one that modified her hat to have the ear holes and bell rope around it!

A dynamic I’ve been really interested in is hers with Dalv. Kanako’s his first and only friend, the one that gave him corn every day under the door. In Undertale yellow, the reason it stopped one day is because she fell down. Here, she simply can’t bring herself to return. The way I’ve enturpreted the blue soul’s treck through the underground, she attacked Kanako which is why Chujin sent Axis after them; partially to protect his family, but mostly for revenge (it seems it runs in the family.) I saw someone propose the idea that the reason Dalv was attacked is that he was protecting Kanako, and I fell in love with it. In my mind, this is cannon, no one can tell me otherwise. Kanako saw him as her best friend, Dalv found her to be an inspiration, and while their bond was sparse and weak, but it was valuable. After both her parents literally bite the dust, their relationship became a reminder to her of her grief and guilt. Dalv almost died and is traumatized because of her, and now her family is dead because of her. She was scared to loose anyone else in her life, so in a desperate attempt to get back control, she cut the ties herself before Dalv had the chance. The farther she was, the safer he’ll be. That’s what a good friend would do, keep their friends safe, right..?

Also, finally came up with a name for Kanako’s bounty hunter persona; Fox Fire! It has a lot of basis and research behind it, so excuse me as I ramble about it for a bit too long.

The name comes from two words, the finish word revontulet, and the Japanese word Kitsunebi, both translating into English as fire fox. A kitsunebi, as the word suggests, has a close connection to kitsunes, the type of monster Ceroba and Kanako are meant to reference. There’s many folktales about kitsunes and kitsuebis. Some stories say a kitsunebi is a flame created when a kitsune rubs its tails together, others say they’re torchlights used when foxes get married, and many festivals have come forth from kitsunebi. Kitsunebi also has a close connection to the Japanese god of foxes, Inari, and the shrine dedicated to her, Oji Inari. Meanwhile in Finland, revontulet is what they call the northern lights, meaning fox fire in English. It comes from a folk tale stating that the Aurora borealis are the tails of arctic foxes running across the sky. Aurora borealises can only form in the north and south poles, thus making it common for the northern lights and the star Polaris, more commonly referred to as the North Star, close together. Not only does the name Fox Fire give Kanako a connection to her family and their liniage as kitsunes, but also gives her a connection to Starlo and his title as North Star as the two astrological sighting happen together. There’s also a simple view of the name too, as Kanako is a fox monster that has fire magic, this Fox Fire, very simple. But actually the fox part of fox fire doesn’t come from the animal, but actually from the word faux, which means false. I nice nod to the fact that Fire Fox isn’t her actual name, and is instead a facade she put on as a form of escapism. Also, something I didn’t plan for, while doing research I found an old Western movie called Foxfire Light, so this name is literally perfect for her in every single way possible. IM A GENIUS!

Ok, enough rambling, I also made Kanako an official design too! A bit different from the headshot I showed before, it was more proof of concept than anything. Had a lot of fun drawing her, love the design, she’s such a sassy lass. I wanted to draw her with a pistol, but because I am an academic student in the thick of the American south, I am very triggered by guns. While I can handle most unrealistic depictions, like in games or drawings, it makes getting references and accurately drawing one very difficult for me. So I went with the much less ptsd enduring much more Busexual approach of ✨finger guns✨ 👉👉👉👉👉👉

I can’t get her hat to look right AAAAAAAAAHHHHH! I’ll make an official ref of her someday, but I’m just done with drawing cowboy hats for today. That’ll be a post for another day. Goodbye for now :P

*As the four fight Clover incorporates dancing into his attacks as Rose and Martlet make a decent attempt.

*Clover is shooting at Mettaton's projectiles, and the heart he uses and eventually loses his arms.

*Mettaton prepares an attack but Clover stops him with a timeout symbol.

*Clover grabs the arms that fell off.

Stand still.

*Clover sets an arm down, puts the right arm where it goes, throws his wrench upwards, catches it, and hits the arm, fully fixing it.

Magic wrench.

No idea, it just fixes stuff when I hit it.

*Clover gets the other arm and puts it back with his wrench.

This... This. This! THIS IS INCREDIBLE!!!

*Clover repeatedly hits Mettaton with the wrench.

*Clover's friends decide to push it to the side as Clover pulls out instruments as the stage fills with Clover's friends as they dance happily for ten minutes but Mettaton surprisingly powers down as the stage lowers back down.

*The door opens, and Alphys enters and sees Mettaton and walks over to him concerned.

*Clover can't hear her.

*He doesn't care.

WHERE IS SHE!?!?!

*It seems someone else yelled with Clover.

WHERE IS KANAKO KETSUNE!!!
