I'm Nyx, they/them if you please.

I made this pinned so mobile users can access mobile friendly versions of my pages. If you are on computer, I highly encourage you to just go to my actual blog because I have sections that show my request status (open/closed) as well as list any in progress requests. Desktop versions of my pages are under the "more info" button in the navigation bar. (Plus I spent like 3 days to make it pretty, its nicer than my main blog, its even got a button for light and dark mode.)

I don't have a DNI, I find that by and large they don't work and the idea is silly to me because being on the internet means people you hate will interact with your content. I could go on and on about how awful TERFs and racists are but if they want to interact with me nothing is stopping them from pretending not to be scum. I do check my interactions though and I use my block button liberally so don't hate on me or my followers and don't be a dick or you're gone.

TLDR: Everyone is welcome on my blog as long as you are kind and respectful.  Basically would Fluttershy like you? Then you're golden.

This blog is sfw (meaning any mature content is tagged with the #mature tag and easily filterable. It's mostly canon typical violence for some fandoms, nothing sexual.) I don't care if you interact as a nsfw blog, just don't be horny in my tags/comments and we're cool, yeah?

So I went to the wiki page for the henghill Bullet & Brain mission of 2.2 looking for some dialogue I had missed and

a) I found something incredibly tasty that slotted into some other thoughts I'd been having, more on that on another day, and

b) I saw this super fun little trivia at the bottom, which!

I knew Penacony characters like Boothill took a lot of inspirations from old movies, but I didn't realize it was even in his and Dan Heng's relationship, that's so cool!!

It fits them very well, it's such a fun reference. "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid" was an old buddy Western film (from 1969- nice) about a pair of outlaws. Butch Cassidy was the leader of a gang, and described as clever, affable, and talkative. Meanwhile, his closest companion, the Sundance Kid, was known as a man of few words.

Cassidy's original birth name was much more plain, but similar to Boothill, he took on a new moniker when he became an outlaw. "Cassidy" had been the last name of his beloved mentor, who taught him how to shoot and ride. And Sundance Kid was known as he was because Sundance was the name of his hometown, and it was the only place that had ever managed to catch and jail him, back when he'd been younger (also similar to Dan Heng, but ouch).

These two stick together like glue throughout the length of the film- through Cassidy's leadership of the gang being challenged, through a train robbery gone wrong, through being pursued by mercenaries, and even through fleeing to Bolivia and trying to start over together.

I don't want to say too much more, since the mission title is referencing one specific movie that I've never seen. I kinda wanna watch it now, though, just to see the inspiration that went into Boothill and Dan Heng and how they get along. I just think it's really sweet that these two were literally made to be the best of bros, how lovely is that. 💕

Co-Captains Headcanons: (long as frick because I have problems)

(To say I believe that when someone’s timer ends their body locks up and they are stuck in place wherever they are, a bit horrific sight to see your teammate entirely frozen on the ground but at least they can still talk?)

Whenever the end of the day comes up, Tina will always run around checking to make sure everyone is in a safe place and didn’t freeze falling, or while working in the garden. If she finds someone in a bad/uncomfortable place she’ll carefully move them to one of the beds in the base. After it though she always ends up taking stock of inventory, to figure out what everyone needs to gather the next day but she always ends up freezing and there is no one up later then her to move her. But tubbo wakes up first in the morning and always finds Tina curled up in a chest, or at her desk and carries her over to one of the beds (Tina takes care of everyone but its nice to be the one taken care of for a change)

When Bad and Tubbo go hunting bad will always use tubbo like a perch to see further and crawl up him like a spider. The first time this happened tubbo was scared out of his mind and shook Bad off with intense panic. Now he lets Bad crouch on his shoulders to hunt for other players, and Bad will always jump off first with a shield allowing tubbo to do a tag team and hit them while their distracted.

Bad has been noticing how stressed out Tina has been, especially about being alone at night, so when he sees his timer reaching zero he sets himself up so hes in the group call and places himself and his com somewhere were it won’t turn off and he can keep chatting. Plus Tina always leaves him tasks to do when the morning starts and they are always just nonsense that looks useful at first glance but devolves into jump off a cliff while dressed as a chicken. Bad never does them but he does leave a prank for when tina wakes up related to something she told him to do.

Also Tina set up a meeting room but it just looks like a speech stage, and the other night tubbo bad and tina where sitting there talking over the crowd (missa just missa) as missa just sits there listening to them talk endlessly about helping the team.
