Do you think any of the concessions miners would have followed Megatron and the High Guard at the end of tfone? Imagine if some of did, they would never have received their t- cogs when Optimus restarted the Well.

What if Megatron went back and harvested t-cogs from the fallen guards to give to his cogless followers? Or better still, what if he recovered the bodies of the other Primes and gave them their cogs.

Maybe that could be the origin of tfone Tarn and the djd?

Ooo I mean, it makes sense at least SOME of them would join Megs, right?? After all, they knew him just as much as they knew Optimus/Orion and you cannot tell me all of them agreed with Optimus/Orion

(also because you cannot tell me that ALL of Iacon joined the autobots and JUST the high guard became Megatron's decepticons)

That being the origin of the DJD in this universe would be fascinating

I wanna see TF1 Megatron meet Tarn. I wanna see how that would go

Now, we can stay in the safety of the sillygoofy of it, but we can also explore how that'd fuck with him so much because not only does this mech look so, so much like Megatronus Prime, but he's claiming to have already known Megatron?? That it was Megatron who gave him his mask?

Plus, there'll be the realization that, outside of looks, Tarn is nothing like tfone Megatronus. As I've mentioned before, tfone Megatron is still new at this whole thing. He's only killed a fraction compared to many of his other counterparts, and none of the longer horrors of war have sat in yet. Certainly none as severe as Tarn.

I don't think tfone Megatron would just be horrified by the things Tarn has done, I think there'd be a note of disgust here too.

Now, how their interaction more generally goes varies on the factors to do with Tarn (though, I've been interpreting you as meaning IDW Tarn. As with how continuities go, a tfone based Tarn would likely vary greatly from his IDW iteration, and I can see the groundwork for a tfone Tarn having a greater connection to tfone Megatronus Prime tbh)

I can see a situation where idw Tarn decides this would be an excellent point to restart it all, catch a different Megatron at the beginning of his glory and (try to) forget about the failures of his original Megatron, one where idw Tarn swears loyalty to tfone Megatron and his decepticons.

I can see one where that offered loyalty is refused

I can see one where Tarn isn't so willing to forgive the crimes of Megatron... Even if this IS a completely different one than the one that betrayed him the IDW decepticons

Oh... You know. Lots of possibilities.
