What people think I mean when I say I had a bad experience at the dentist when I was younger: I was young and got scared by them doing their job and one time they made a small mistake that left my teeth damaged
What I actually mean when I say I had a bad experience at the dentist when I was younger: the dentist did a filling with no anesthetic and drilled into my nerve so I screamed and begged her to stop and she told me 'shut up, you can't feel anything' and carried on while i sobbed in agony. She also regularly knelt on my chest while she worked because I 'moved too much' to the point i couldnt breath and would grip my face until it bruised because I would flinch. I went to her for YEARS.
#i went to the dentist yesterday and had a panic attack in the chair#but its not the same evil malpractise suit that i shouldve sued for dentist#its a nice expensive private dentist#and she put on netflix while she did a filling#and would stop everytime i as much as twitched to ask if i was ok#and i cried when she finished because she was so nice#i still have so many issues regarding dentists but my god#this lady is a saint and helped me feel comfortable even not knowing how fucking traumatic my last dentist was#just knows i didnt go in over 10 years because im 'scared'#i will marry her i love her she was so nice guys i wanna cry qgain#possible trigger warning#trigegr warning dentist

The person you had the strongest feelings for dies, do you care? I imagine so, yeah. I’d check up on her family and help in any way I can, if it’s still welcomed.
Is there something you’re happy about at the moment? I share this all the time in surveys at this point but I’m just really giddy that it’s a Friday evening hehe. Also, I’m seeing Angela, Hans, and (finally!!!) Reena later! We’ll be going to UP to shoot some photos since Angela and Reena are graduating this year and we wanna take pictures with the sunflowers in the campus before they die out. I also never got to take sunflower photos when I graduated last year, so it will be my chance to do so as well.
Do you want someone dead? Wow, no.
Do you ever wonder what your ex is up to? It almost never crosses my mind, honestly.
Have you ever fed or taken care of a stray animal? I’ve fed many of them before, yup.
What is something you tend to worry about? Pending deliverables at work, especially ones that are out of my control.
What is something you do that is unhealthy? Be in front of a screen as soon as I’m awake until the second I turn in.
What is something you do that is good for you? I’m no longer afraid to prioritize myself when necessary.
What last caused you to force a smile? Ooh I’m not sure. I haven’t had to do that in a while, which is a good thing. What was the last video game you played? Was it fun? Probably Mario Kart on the Switch, but it’s been a WHIIIIIIIIIIIIIILE. Yeah it’s one of my favorite series for a reason.
What is something not many people know about you? The fact that I’m obsessed with anything classic Hollywood and I’m a big Audrey Hepburn fan. The topic never gets brought up so I don’t really get the chance to say anything about that interest of mine.
What word describes your basic style? Casual, laidback. I’m more than happy with just a simple t-shirt and denim jeans these days and I think I’m over my jumpsuit/romper phase haha.
Have you ever been told you were going to Hell? It was referred to/threatened to me, but not directly with these words.
Have you ever wanted to kill yourself? It was a regular occurrence before.
If yes, what convinced you not to go through with it? I think overall I was just scared of fucking it up and fucking up my brain for life as a consequence. Also I knew no one was going to take care of Kimi as well as I do, and I would never leave him behind.
Have you ever rejected a guy, only to have him push the issue by asking “why?” and insisting that you just need to get to know him better? Nope.
Is there something that you believe everyone should do and you can’t believe that some people don’t do it (e.g., recycle or go to the dentist regularly)? It’s definitely an Asian thing but it will sometimes hurt my chest when I see people wear shoes in their homes.
Regarding the last good choice (healthy choice, kind choice, selfless choice, etc.) you made, what was your real motivation behind it? I wanted to be kind to myself and finally let go of what had been keeping me from starting to be happy and pleased with where I am and have.
What is something that you have had to practice at to get the hang of it? If you can’t think of anything, that’s okay, what’s something you are currently practicing at and trying to master? This is such a shallow answer lol but I’ve recently gotten into this rhythm game called Rhythm Hive that I found impossible to master at first, but after weeks of practicing I now breeze through all the songs at their hardest level.
Have you ever gone to the store to buy something, like a video game, when it came out at midnight? I haven’t done that, but I’ve watched a movie premiere at midnight - for both times the Breaking Dawn movies came out.
Regarding the last novel you read, was there a romance included? If so, was it central to the plot? Yes and yes.
Have you ever done relaxation meditations or listened to relaxation guides or positive-thinking/healing recordings? Nope, they don’t really work on me. I have my own outlets that help me relax.
Do you have any interests that are also often shared by children? Coloring is one. Also animated movies; I never grew out of those.
Is there something that could be a solitary activity but you really only like to do it with other people (e.g., watching movies, playing video games, etc.)? Definitely eating out. I’ve done it a couple of times before by myself and it does feel nice, but I also always can’t help but think it would be a lot more fun and that I would be much happier if I was sharing the experience with someone else.
Are you satisfied with the interior design or decoration in your home? Or do you think it needs a total home makeover? Ugh god I need to rearrange and upgrade my room STAT. My K-Pop merch are starting to pile up but they’re all currently in just lazy heaps scattered around in my room since I don’t have any shelves or anything to properly display them on.
Is there something that you’d like to own but you can’t find it anywhere? If not, can you a remember a time when you wanted something? Did you ever end up finding it or did you eventually stop wanting it? This is always me with BTS merch...
Who makes you smile the most? My friends.
What piercings do you want/have? Just one on each earlobe. I’m not looking to have any more.
What's your favorite website? Twitter.
Do you own a fish tank with fish? We never had one, no.
Do you like the movie 300? I’ve never seen it and will probably never have plans to. It’s not my cup of tea.
Do you pop your knuckles? When I feel stressed or when my knuckles feel strained, yes.
Do you have Photoshop? Nope, I have no use for it.
Do you use tinypic or photobucket? Way back in the day. I’m not even sure if those websites still exist.
What’s your favourite song from the 1980s? Heaven Is A Place On Earth.
How about the 1990s? I’m not sure I have one.
Have you won anything recently? Yeah we played this online game over Google Meets with my co-workers just this afternoon, before clocking out. My team won twice.
How often do you make Excel tables? What for? Oh everyday. I work on a handful of sheets every single day at work, but I also like making spreadsheets for personal use haha. Right now the one I’m currently super invested in is my tracker for all the merch I’ve been buying so I can keep note of my pending payments and which ones I should already be asking for updates on.
What was the last baby animal you saw in the wild? Not sure, I’m barely outdoors.
Are you always available or online? Yup.
Do you have dietary restrictions? Or do you just eat what you like? No allergies or restrictions.
Do you prefer gold, silver or steel jewelry? Or no jewelry at all? Silver.
Have you been binge-watching any shows lately? If so, what? Not really. I’ve stopped watching Hwarang for now, but I do have plans to come back to it someday. I guess I just haven’t been in a K-drama binge-watching mood lately.
If you dye your hair, do you do it yourself or go to a salon? I’ve never had my hair dyed.
If you have any, do you like your in-laws? I don’t have any. < Same.
Would it bother you, if your partner had cut contact with their parents? It depends on the story behind it, but mostly no. How close they are with their family isn’t a priority matter for me.
Have you ever wondered whether you were adopted? All the time, especially as a teenager who wasn’t getting any emotional support at home.
What’s the best physical feeling in the entire universe? When you work on something and expect mediocre results and feedback, but it ends up getting praised instead and you feel all the hard work pay off.
Have you ever grown a berry bush? Nope.
Have you done something new to your hair recently? It’s been untouched since the very start of the pandemic. My sister actually suggested that since I had it cut right when the pandemic started, I should wait out till the end of it and see how long it’ll reach. It sounded intriguing enough so now I’m indefinitely growing it out hahaha.
Do you have bad anxiety? If so, do you take any kind of medication for it? I’m sure I have it, I’ve just never been diagnosed before.
One thing you’ve experienced that you thought you never would have? Managing to get over a rough breakup quicker than I ever expected to.
What was the last thing someone said to you that kept repeating over & over in your head? It was when I was leaving Angela’s house yesterday and an “I love you” to her parents rolled out of my tongue so naturally I almost didn’t notice it; and when they said it back in a heartbeat. It’s when I realized that her parents are really like my second parents and that her house is a second home at this point. My heart was filled the entire drive home.
How often do you have late nights out? Never because we still have a curfew.
If you could, would you work from home? Do you think that would make you more or less productive? I don’t have a choice; it’s the set-up we’re required to live in. I’m pretty productive here at home but then again I don’t have a point of comparison considering I got my first job already in the midst of the pandemic.
If you had the ability to change the weather, what would you change it to right now? I would like to bring snow to the Philippines.
Is there something that you really need to do, but can’t seem to get motivated to do it? Upgrade my room and invest in shelves and other home decor/interior design stuff that would make the space more comfy and homey. Right now it just looks like a warehouse with my merch piled up in scattered places.
Most disturbing movie you have ever seen? Eraserhead or I’m Thinking of Ending Things.
Has a life goal or dream ever come true for you yet? If yes, what is it? If no, do you think you’ll achieve it? I have multiple life goals - some of them I’ve achieved, like getting into my dream university and simply getting employed, and some of them I’m still working my way towards, like getting a promotion. Yeah I feel like I’ll achieve my goals someday. I don’t like losing LOL so when I want something I usually put it above everything else.
Have you ever had food poisoning? Yup.
What are you listening to? Blue & Grey by BTS.
Do you think there will be a WWIII? I find it inevitable at some point down humanity's future. People are too hateful for it not to eventually. < Yeah, let’s go with this too.
Has anyone ever asked you if you were emo? No.
Has someone ever liked you that you never thought would? Yes. Tbh I never expect anyone to like me so I’ve always been surprised when I hear about someone who does.
In all honesty, can a person be too nice? Yes, especially if they’re starting to be taken advantage of.
Has one of your friend’s boyfriends ever tried to cheat on them with you? No.
Is mental abuse really as bad as physical abuse? Any abuse is bad. :/
Do you shop at Sephora for make-up? Nope.
Zelda: Twilight Princess or Ocarina of Time? Twilight Princess only because I grew up with it and never got to play Ocarina of Time.
Do you own a rosary? I did - I went to Catholic school. But I lost mine all the time because I didn’t really care for them lol I always had to buy new ones at the school bookstore.
If you were homeless, how would you cope? I don’t know.

Survey #404
“death doesn’t answer when i cried for help”
The person you had the strongest feelings for dies, do you care? I'd be fucking devastated. It wouldn't feel real. Is there something you’re happy about at the moment? A few things. I'm still on that high of my APAP mask working, like I'm actually getting some fucking quality sleep, and I think I'm noticing the effects of my TMS therapy finally, too. My PTSD has most notably been much more bearable, and my interests are beginning to spread again. Do you want someone dead? No. Do you ever wonder what your ex is up to? I mean yeah, I think that's pretty normal, even for someone without my issues. Have you ever fed or taken care of a stray animal? Oh, many times. What is something you tend to worry about? My health and future. What is something you do that is unhealthy? Sit at the computer for way too long. I'm absolutely certain my vision is as poor as it is partially because of me endlessly staring at screens. What is something you do that is good for you? I'm not afraid to prioritize my mental health. What last caused you to force a smile? I was watching a Mark video for the first time in a while and was just reminded of how much I love and appreciate that moron. What was the last video game you played? Was it fun? Because you said "video" game, I guess I'll exclude computer ones, in which case I'm pretty sure it was Silent Hill 2. Given it's one of my all-time favorite games, of course I think it's fun. It's one hell of an emotional ride. What is something not many people know about you? The fact I was a dancer for many years would probably surprise people once they have a good idea of me and what I like. What word describes your basic style? Lazy, honestly. I dress for comfort, and given that's usually just pj pants and a tank top... yeah, I don't put much effort into my clothing when I'm going most places. Have you ever been told you were going to Hell? She kinda beat around the bush, but yes. Have you ever wanted to kill yourself? On more than one occasion. If yes, what convinced you not to go through with it? Well, I did OD once, but on the other occasions, it was the fear of the unknown that deterred me. Have you ever rejected a guy, only to have him push the issue by asking “why?” and insisting that you just need to get to know him better? Omg no, thank god. I would NOT handle that well. Is there something that you believe everyone should do and you can’t believe that some people don’t do it (e.g., recycle or go to the dentist regularly)? I didn't know 'til a survey question asked it that there are people who don't brush their tongue when brushing their teeth. Like holy shit dude, there are SO many germs on your tongue, clean that shit. Regarding the last good choice (healthy choice, kind choice, selfless choice, etc.) you made, what was your real motivation behind it? Ummmm the nearest that comes to mind is I guess taking my meds? I mean I do that every single day, but it's still a healthy choice for me. The motivation was because I am very serious about doing what I can for my mental wellbeing. What is something that you have had to practice at to get the hang of it? If you can’t think of anything, that’s okay, what’s something you are currently practicing at and trying to master? I really can't think of something for the first half of the question, but I can tell you that right now I'm attempting to force a routine of applying a therapy technique called "opposite action" into my daily life, where you, well, do the exact opposite of what your depression tells you to not do. It is WAY harder than it sounds, but I'm doing it with reading 30 minutes a day! Have you ever gone to the store to buy something, like a video game, when it came out at midnight? Not to my recollection, no. Regarding the last novel you read, was there a romance included? If so, was it central to the plot? The last novel I finished, yes. It wasn't central to the plot. Have you ever done relaxation meditations or listened to relaxation guides or positive-thinking/healing recordings? No, except in therapy when different therapists wanted me to experiment with it during a session. They just don't work for me. Do you have any interests that are also often shared by children? Yeah. Those are the one I'm especially self-conscious about. there something that could be a solitary activity but you really only like to do it with other people (e.g., watching movies, playing video games, etc.)? Watching movies or TV. Are you satisfied with the interior design or decoration in your home? Or do you think it needs a total home makeover? A makeover would be nice... Is there something that you’d like to own but you can’t find it anywhere? If not, can you a remember a time when you wanted something? Did you ever end up finding it or did you eventually stop wanting it? OKAY SO I actually have seen this custom-made once long after deciding I wanted it, but it was RIDICULOUSLY expensive. There's a location in the Silent Hill games called Heaven's Night, and I'd love love LOVE to commission someone to duplicate the neon pink sign of it to hang in my room. Hopefully one day I could still do it. Who makes you smile the most? Probably my cat, honestly. What piercings do you want/have? I've talked about the piercings I have, but I'll talk about those I want. My #1 is absolutely collarbone dermals, but as I've explained a billion times, I want to lose weight so the bones are more prominent for the sake of contrast; you can't really see my collarbones now, so I just think it'd look pretty dumb and random to just have random piercings somewhere around there with no dimension. I also want way more in my ears, dermals in my back dimples also once I've lost weight, my right nostril for the dozenth time (but this time I'll wear a hoop), and while I'd absolutely adore an undereye microdermal as well, it'd be pointless with glasses. :/ What's your favorite website? KM is my pride and joy and really feels like my online home, so despite using sites like YouTube more, that 'ole RP site has to be my fave. Do you own a fish tank with fish? No. I had fish bowls (AWFUL idea) as a kid, but never tanks Do you like the movie 300? Never seen it. Do you pop your knuckles? NOOOOOOOOOOO. I absolutely hate the sound. It makes me cringe and shiver. Do you have Photoshop? Yes. It comes in the Adobe CC photography bundle I have. Do you use tinypic or photobucket? I used Photobucket back in the day. Now I just upload to imgur. What’s your favourite song from the 1980s? You're talking to someone who adores classic rock/metal, haha. How about the 1990s? There are way too many songs to choose from. Have you won anything recently? No. How often do you make Excel tables? What for? Never. What was the last baby animal you saw in the wild? There was a poor fawn as roadkill on the highway recently. :/ Are you always available or online? Preeeetty much. Do you have dietary restrictions? Or do you just eat what you like? I can eat whatever. Do you prefer gold, silver or steel jewelry? Or no jewelry at all? Steel. I'm allergic to silver, and I think steel is more subtle than gold. Have you been binge-watching any shows lately? If so, what? No. If you dye your hair, do you do it yourself or go to a salon? I do it at a salon. If you have any, do you like your in-laws? I don’t have any. Would it bother you, if your partner had cut contact with their parents? If they had a good reason, no. Have you ever wondered whether you were adopted? As a kid I did because I thought Mom was meaner to me than my siblings, lol. What’s the best physical feeling in the entire universe? ........... This question is a setup lmfao. Have you ever grown a berry bush? No. Have you done something new to your hair recently? No. It's been the same for quite a while. I wanna dye it badly. Do you have bad anxiety? If so, do you take any kind of medication for it? I'm diagnosed with generalized and social anxiety, so yeah. I take Klonopin once and day and Ativan as needed for attacks. One thing you’ve experienced that you thought you never would have? HA, the first thing to come to mind was being noticed by Mark by making a viral (in the community, anyway) gif of he and his doggy. I shit you not, I couldn't sleep for three days lmfao. What was the last thing someone said to you that kept repeating over & over in your head? That I gained fucking seven pounds in two months at my last doctor appointment. I wanted to scream. How often do you have late nights out? Never. I'm a homebody. If you could, would you work from home? Do you think that would make you more or less productive? No. It would absolutely make me less productive. If you had the ability to change the weather, what would you change it to right now? Cool with a nice breeze, mostly clear skies, crisp air... That'd be nice right now. Is there something that you really need to do, but can’t seem to get motivated to do it? I say it all the time: finish decorating my room. It's funny, because I KNOW I'll feel more at home and cozy with my bedroom more personalized. Most disturbing movie you have ever seen? Paranormal Entity. The ending was... a lot. Has a life goal or dream ever come true for you yet? If yes, what is it? If no, do you think you’ll achieve it? Not that I can think of. .-. I hope I can achieve some... Have you ever had food poisoning? No, thank God. What are you listening to? "The Man Who Made a Monster" by Dance With the Dead. Do you think there will be a WWIII? I find it inevitable at some point down humanity's future. People are too hateful for it not to eventually. Has anyone ever asked you if you were emo? Yeah. Has someone ever liked you that you never thought would? Maybe? Idk. In all honesty, can a person be too nice? Yes, in some instances. Has one of your friend’s boyfriends ever tried to cheat on them with you? Yes, when I was around 12. And I let it happen. It's one of my biggest regrets. Is mental abuse really as bad as physical abuse? Of course it is. Emotional abuse can cut just as deep as some physical blows, or even deeper. Do you shop at Sephora for make-up? No. Zelda: Twilight Princess or Ocarina of Time? I'm actually not into TLoZ. Do you own a rosary? I did as a kid growing up in a Catholic Sunday school. If you were homeless, how would you cope? If I had no loved ones in my life and no sign of things getting better, I'm honestly preeetty sure I'd end my life.

Episode 10: We Don’t Win
1/23/2021
I recently started subscribing to John MacArthur’s sermon podcasts. I’d never heard of him until he and his congregation began defying the lockdown mandates in California last summer. Although I’d added his podcasts to my library, I had never actually listened to any of them until three days ago when his sermon from this past Sunday began playing automatically as soon as my phone’s Bluetooth connected to my car. I was about to stop the playback as I was in the mood for some upbeat music, but then changed my mind when I looked at the dashboard display and saw what podcast had started.
John began his sermon by listing all the blessings God had bestowed upon him and his church in the last six months of 2020. The more that he and his congregation defied Governor Newsom’s tyranny, the more God blessed their ministry. He said that 2020 had given him, personally, an immense amount of clarity, and I knew exactly what he was talking about. 2020, for many of us, helped us to see exactly what matters most in this world and what our priorities should be. As John moved on to the heart of his sermon, he said three words that have been rattling around in the back of my brain ever since.
“We don’t win.”
We Christians do not win in this world. This world belongs to Satan. It always has ever since the Fall. It is not the destiny of the believers in Christ “…to win on this battleground,” as John puts it.
“We don’t win.”
I first heard this sermon on Wednesday, the day of President Biden’s inauguration. In the two days since he took the oath of office, we Americans have seen quite clearly what this president has in mind for the future of this country. One of his first acts was to sign an order that gives boys and girls the right to roam freely in the public restrooms of the opposite sex. Boys who “identify” as girls will also have the right to thus compete in women’s sports if they so wish. Biden and his administration also made announcements that they plan to not only roll back all the restrictions that President Trump had enacted to try to stop the public finding of international and domestic organizations that support abortion, but to also expand the current laws of “reproductive and women’s rights” to allow abortions up to and including the moment of birth. (He even campaigned on this abhorrent promise.) Abortions will soon be allowed for ANY reason and will be made as convenient as a checkup at your local dentist.
It’s that latter part that should bet striking fear and sorrow in the hearts of EVERY American citizen, regardless of religious affiliation. Roe v. Wade was just the beginning of America’s fall from grace and prosperity, and if Biden and his administration succeeds in their enactment of these new laws and permissions, then our country’s fate is truly sealed. Any nation — any people — that allows the willful, rampant murder of the unborn will not survive very long. It is among the last, deadliest signs of genuine, moral decay, and that — along with all the social movements that are currently fighting to erase gender and promote tolerance of ANYTHING regarding sexuality — are why I firmly believe that we are closer than ever to the Second Coming of Christ.
“We don’t win.”
The Biden administration is under the power and firm control of the another insidious, deceptive, and abhorrent social movement that has gripped this nation since last June: Black Lives Matter. There is no longer true justice in America. John MacArthur stated in his sermon that America is now under a new form of law and order known as “social justice”. Under this new justice, the only ones who are right are the oppressed, and the guilty are the oppressors. Justice is now based on race and skin color, rather than truth and right. All the garbage surrounding “white fragility” and “anti-racism” has made it perfectly acceptable for everyone to racially discriminate and hate anyone whose skin is white.
“We don’t win.”
Black Lives Matter, in its efforts to alter and/or erase American history have set the stage for America’s very foundation, the system of capitalism, to also be destroyed. All the economic plans of the Biden administration — as well as a democrat controlled congress — will ensure that socialism will take hold in this country even worse than when Obama was president. The current leaders of the Black Lives Matter movement are proud, outspoken Marxists, and they have never tried to disguise or obfuscate their beliefs. They have already succeeded in getting their insidious doctrine of “critical race theory” into public schools at every grade level in all the major cities in the U.S. Within one or two generations, our country will be overflowing with the same brainwashed population that brought about the Russian Revolution, which plunged that country into decades of economic and moral darkness.
“We don’t win.”
I am not writing this blog to frighten or depress you. (Well, actually, yes you should be scared shitless right now. I know I am.) John ended his sermon by reminding all Christians that yes, we don’t win. We don’t win down here, that is. Earth has already been claimed by Satan and his forces of darkness. But, if we have accepted Christ as our Lord and Savior, then we will not have to suffer much longer in this mortal realm. Our only task right now is to serve God by staying faithful to him and spreading the gospel. And, when our life is over, we will join our Heavenly Father at his throne, and we will have a front row seat to His final plan. His heavenly forces will make war with the corrupted world and its lord, Satan, in that great final battle of Armageddon, and it’s here, where it matters most, that we will win.
Part of my reason for writing this post today was to remind myself of the true power of God. We serve and worship the same God that made a covenant with Abraham and Isaac. The same God that brought the Israelites out of Egypt and watched over them as they traveled in the desert. No matter how often His people forgot Him or sinned against Him, God never forgot them. His wrath was great, yes, and there were many times the Israelites were punished for their sins, but God always provided a way of forgiveness and redemption.
In the back of my Bible is a listed reading plan for the year. I decided to embark on this as part of my daily devotional and as a new year’s resolution. I have already finished the books of Genesis and Exodus, and, while I still remember from so long ago the stories of creation; of Abraham, Isaac, Esau, and Jacob; of Joseph getting sold into slavery in Egypt only to be in the right place and right time to save his brothers and family; of God delivering His people out of slavery in Egypt — I was now reading all of those accounts with fresh eyes. Right now, when our country is on a rapidly descending slope into sin, darkness, and moral decay, it gives my heart and soul a much needed peace to know that that God of the Bible is the same God that still watches over his people. I want to add the phrase “protects them”, but I’m honestly not sure that’s appropriate. God is watching over us, make no mistake about that, but He’s also a vengeful God, and his wrath is great.
America was once a Christian nation, but I have a hard time uttering that phrase just now. I don’t believe it’s true anymore, and we Christians are about to enter a new era of persecution and tribulation. The government mandates that were issued last year in response to the manufactured “pandemic” are a perfect example of the new persecution. As John put it in his sermon, “Satan did his best to shut down our church.” The Lord of Darkness did his damndest to shut down ALL churches in this nation, and he succeeded in many states — most of them blue. Here in Nevada, for example, almost all churches are still shut down for worship. Services can only be attended from home via livestream.
This is just the first step. The new laws and policies that the Biden administration has already enacted — or plans to enact — will only serve the heathen and the wicked. But we Christians still have the power to fight back, and we most definitely should while we still can. Just look at John’s church in California. I won’t go into the whole list here, but John’s ministry did not shrink or fail during 2020. Quite the opposite, in fact. He stated that his congregation expanded by more than 1,200 members in just the last quarter of the year. People were driving in from out of state to attend services! The church more than tripled its funding from offering and donations in 2020, more than they’ve received in the last decade alone, in fact!
It is in times of great adversity and great trials, that Christianity grows. America is the modern equivalent of the Roman Empire, and, like those Christians in the days of Nero and Caesar, the believers in America today will be shunned, spit upon, arrested, and yes, even put to death, while the rest of the nation celebrates “diversity” and “tolerance” and continues to slaughter the unborn in record numbers.
No, it’s not quite that bad for us believers just yet. But within one or two generations, perhaps even sooner, it will be. The current “cancel culture” that is serving as the militant arm of movements such as Black Lives Matter will very soon turn their wrath upon anything that is religious. True Christians, the believers that will not compromise on “diversity” and “tolerance” by watering down the gospel or allowing immorality such as gay marriage and transgender “affirmation services”, among other things, will be attacked and cursed as being un-American and “evil”.
No, we don’t win down here.
But we will one day. Our suffering here is but for a time. Soon enough, we shall be reunited in Heaven with our Lord and Savior at the foot of his throne. All trials and tribulations will cease and we shall rejoice with Him evermore.
Amen, hallelujah!

I wasn’t all that fond of 15x10 while I watched it yesterday. I loved the premise and Garth, but I think it was just a bit too over the top for me. The placement of this episode within the greater context of it being the final episode and following the rather gloomy previous episode just made it feel a bit off. That aside, I just didn’t enjoy watching it all that much even though I could appreciate what we were given.
But I’m giving it another rewatch and another chance! I’d love to hear your thoughts too, whether you agree or disagree with my reactions. :D
It takes hardly any time for us to notice something completely amiss and they don’t even hide it: a classical piece of music accompanying a bloody fight between two monsters. Everyone is going to notice that this isn’t quite right, which then guides over into the next thought: the editing makes or breaks a scene. I think that’s the overall theme I took away from this episode. Metatron said that God posted the first draft and we’ve seen both Becky and Metatron edit God’s writing. The first conclusion we could draw is that God is not “editing” Sam and Dean’s story. But actually that doesn’t make a lot of sense because he couldn’t see Sam and Dean before either and they were fine. It’s maybe that he over-edits it. He throws problems in their ways that are... well, kind of what Becky wanted; the everday issues. Them dealing with laundry all day. This is the stuff we write, ad absurdum. And with monsters.
So the theory I’m going with right now is that Chuck is editing, just differently than before.
One preliminary thought regarding Garth: Were there no consequences to the Grace he had swallowed during AU Michael’s weird monster plan? What happened to that monster plan in general? Michael seems to be very bad at stragegizing.......
Dean’ shopping: The shop is called Berens’ quick trip. Berens is always sending us on a trip, though I think this one was Dabb’s fever dream. *lol* Lots of music for what is basically just showing Dean shopping. We see the guy giving Dean a ticket through the window but Dean’s oblivious, too focused on shopping. (Two six packs of beer. This might either show Dean indulging or Dean stocking up for Cas, not that Cas wants beer usually.)
Dean knows the store attendant by name, so I guess this is a place he goes to often, though I doubt it’s in Lebanon because of the high rises in the background?
What did Dean buy? Some beer, a magazine, some chips, something sweet he’s eating... How did that amount to over 40$? Why did he go buy that? Why not go to a proper store and buy proper food? Just beer and snacks? As someone who has to do her own shopping now this seems inefficient. (And my shopping center is in 5 minutes walking distance. *lol*) Also, I think I’ve seen people mention that the magazine is a cooking or baking magazine?
Also, here’s the first instance we have of Dean’s teeth hurting. Just stop eating the chocolate you silly man.
I have no compassion for Dean whining about getting a ticket. He’s not allowed to park there. Rules apply for you too, Mr. Winchester. I don’t like people who think they can do what they want. *thinks back to young snobby looking BMW driver who parked in the middle of a square in front of a bank and who got a ticket* *Schadenfreude* (That’s the kind of person I am. I like people who think rules don’t apply for them to be punished by the law.)
Sam’s scene in the kitchen: I assume it was Dean who had started cooking and then just walked away to get some more shopping done. This is merely based on my assumption that Sam doesn’t cook. We know that Sam sometimes does kinda stupid things like blowing on paper to make the fire go out... Touching things straight out of the oven and putting his hands on a hot pot are pretty thoughtless. And he’s clumsy apparently.
Also why the heck would he pull the pot from the stove? It wasn’t even boiling over. Just lower the temperature. Have you never been in a kitchen before, dude? And you’re not even cleaning up after yourself?
Dean and Sam discussing their issues: So Sam never trips? Both noticed right away that this was weird. Sam looks so offended. Like “I’m Sam Fucking Winchester, I don’t trip!”?
Also, did Sam say “dinner”? Is it already evening and they’ve just been hit with “normal person-itis” now? I see Sam’s watch but I can’t decipher it right. It it 5:35? What time of the year is it in canon? I was still light outside when Dean was shopping.
In the car on the way to Garth: A look, it’s dark now, which suppors the “they just randomly got hit with normal people problems. The music for this scene is also unusual.
I’m annoyed that Cas is in heaven. Why. Why is he up there? Why does SPN always stash Cas out of the way with random stuff? It would have been nice if there had been a phone call or something with Cas checking in or just a mention that Dean was driving back from dropping Cas off at the angel gate or whatever. It takes so little, makes such an impact for me. This? Sorry. It’s just not enough for me.
Why is the car giving up the ghost? Especially in such a weird way? Isn’t Dean constantly working on the Impala? This is not normal people problems either.
At Garth’s: So Sam and Dean walked like 16km? Couldn’t they have taken public transport OR a taxi like normal people...? Or call road assistance or Garth at least? I don’t know what it’s like in the US but that seems a bit extra, even for Sam and Dean.
Garth and Bess have an old style phone in their house, which is a random remark but it’s a nice deco object.
Garth’s Twins: I don’t quite understand why Garth calls the twins Sam and Castiel. What kind of connection does Garth have to Cas? Why not Sam and Dean? If only one of the brothers, why Sam? He has more of a connection to Dean after all? I don’t get it. Dabb just liking it when people prefer Sam and Dean has to roll his eyes at it? :/
Again with the weird, out of place music when they have a look at Bess’ cousin.
Dean and Garth: The dramatic music when Dean steps into the dentist’s room. *lol* And then his disquieted “you’re very strong” when Garth forced him. I think since Garth treats werewolves who might also have an aversion to the dentist, he’d be used having to use a bit of force *lol* Besides. I really love getting insight into how monsters deal with “normal people problems” because they have them too. It’s a shame that we don’t see more of that side to monsters. We only see those monsters who mess up after all, rarely those who try to blend in.
I might not know much about dentistry but I only had cotton stuffed into my bleeding mouth like that when I got my wisdom teeth out in an operation. Sure, I bleed a bit when I have appointment but not like that??? Just what did Garth do? Replace Dean’s teeth with werewolf teeth? *lol*
Sam and Bess: Dramatic music continues when Bess hands Sam the “cure” drink. It kind of frames the scenes as dangerous and at least it put me slightly on “confused edge” because the music made me think I couldn’t trust Garth and Bess. Sam’s struggles are kinda... over the top. I mean, we’ve seen Dean eat ghost pepper jerky and suffer, but Sam is suffering kinda ridiculously, like he’s been hit by a curse or something (i.e. still like he’s in the middle of a battle against some monster). Ew. Sam wiping his tongue on the arm he’s been sneezing and snotting into. Uff.
The tap dancing: Nice but I don’t really see the point in it >w< I guess normal people have normal funky dreams. And I guess Dean dreams of joyful things like dancing and having FOR ONCE gentle interactions with a lamp instead of always smashing them.
Talking about God and being heroes in a story: I like Garths’ approach to this topic and that he’s much more aware of story structures than the Winchesters seem to be. Why does Dean need a colonoscopy? (Angsty thought: does he have cancer...? Can werewolves smell it? Is that how it’s gonna end? Normal people problem killing Dean? Nope.)
Scene with the cousin: Poor Sam, he looks so upset when his “gentle request and puppy eyes” approach didn’t work. Though I like that it’s Bess who gets the guy to talk (like it’s Garth who gets the job done later on). I really like that monsters have normal people problems too. And it seems like the Winchesters are still very surprised about that.
Sam and Dean “job”: I think they’re being idiots here. Not only do they lack any evidence that the monsters who watch those fights are harming people, so they just kill them because they’re monsters? Also, it seems very unwise for two people alone to take on how many monsters?? No damn research done at all. And on top of that it seems really unwise to go on a case when they don’t know what else “normal people problems” entails while hunting. At least Sam might have been alarmed due to his sudden clumsiness... Just, stupid move on the Winchesters’ part.
Side note: Sam doesn’t seem to be comfortable saying anything at all. He still seems to be shocked by the werewolf’s diss.
Dean continues to be kinda dumb and I don’t exactly get why. They don’t know what they’re walking into, so they definitely need to be prepared and I can think of several examples where he was prepared for anything. And now that he can’t be sure of his “luck” he’s not gonna think twice about it? And him munching his grilled cheese, talking with his mouth full and “playing” with the gun wasn’t super endearing to me. Sorry, I know many found it cute *lol* And who vomits that loudly...? I mean... ew.
I liked that Dean tried to bluff his way out of the situation and maybe it would have worked in another situation...
Dean and Sam in cages: It makes no sense that not being able to pick locks is part of normal people problems because I’m sure they learnt how to pick locks over the years. So this, and their inability to fight later on (another thing they’ve learnt) just makes it clear that Chuck didn’t just remove them from “hero” status, but took away more than just their special skills.
Dean’s entire heartfelt speech doesn’t work either, neither on Sam or Dean, nor on the audience both because of how it’s filmed (no particular clear shot of Dean’s face and Sam constantly looking uncomfortable) and the variation of Dean’s theme.
What’s with Dean’s throat? I don’t understand what he said.
Garth saves the day: Dean’s awed “you are so strong” is cute! Why has he never been in awe of Cas’ strenght? Cas lifted a 1t anvil once and Dean didn’t even look at him amorously for it.
Man, there are a couple things I don’t understand here! Wish I had subtitles because I’ll probably only get what “we’re gotta get out of here blblblbl monstersquad” or “the monster squad bbbüb the good guys” means.
I think they might still be able to fight but whatever “hero” bonus they had was deleted and now it IS almost impossible to just knock out a monster. They did have more trouble in earlier seasons before they could just easily stick an angelblade into every monster and not even break much of a sweat. But the whole fight sequence is just a little bit too ridiculous for me...
Back at Garth’s home: The whole “this Cas keeps looking at me weird” scene is my highlight. I wonder if now that Dean and Cas are no longer locked into their defined roles (though I’m not sure if Chuck has written them with a specific dynamic, since he never seems to make use of Cas) Dean will notice more about Cas too ;D Though of course Dean does notice the way Cas looks at him (”the last time someone looked at me like that, I got laid” as a classic example). But still, maybe something to think about. Since a story does come with particular characters dynamics between heros and their supporting characters.
Dean saying that he could be an awesome dancer if he wanted to be is nice. The only thing he lacks is a partner to dance with. Though... He doesn’t lack a partner since he has Cas back now. He just needs to make the first move ;3
Baby clearly doesn’t want to go to Alaska. *lol*
Okay, that was a long post again, not structured at all, not edited, and it still took me multiple days to rewatch and type this up! Haha

50 Questions Tag!
I got tagged by @jongin-be-my-jagi and I’m doing this instead of doing reading for my classes...
1. What takes up too much of your time?
YouTube. Honestly their algorithm on recommending videos is scary--I read some papers on this before and it works. We’re all just manipulated by what the algorithm shows us.
2. What makes your day better?
When someone sends me pictures of Kyungsoo!
3. What’s the best thing that happened to you today?
The cat sat on my lap for a little bit before disappearing to her hiding spot.
4. What fictional place would you like to go to?
Honestly, the last time I read any fiction (other than fanfiction) was in high school, and I’m not sure if I’d want to go to any of those places...
5. Are you good at giving advice?
Maybe. It depends upon the subject. I give advice to people if they ask me for advice or if I feel really strongly about something, and if their values and thoughts are similar to mine. If someone who’s not like me is asking for advice on something serious, I decline.
6. Do you have any mental illnesses?
Did have some trauma here and there after my traumatic hiking trip, but not any illnesses that I know of.
7. Have you ever experienced sleep paralysis?
Not sure. pass!
8. What musician inspired you the most?
Jacqueline du Pre when I was young. I saw a recording of her playing the Elgar Cello Concerto and I was amazed by how much emotion she put into her music.
9. Have you ever fallen in love?
Yes. It’s great but then when it ends it sucks. Therefore my policy is just to not fall in love. Yeah, yeah, call me a pessimist all you want.
10. What’s your dream date?
Again, I usually avoid the topic of dating and romance and relationships, so I don’t really put thought into this stuff... but maybe a picnic and ballroom dancing.
11. What do others notice about you?
That I’m a short kid and that I’m indian. And that I have braces even though I’m in college. It’s not my fault that I had to have dental surgery twice! My dentist says that in his 17 years of practice, I’m one of his hardest cases.
12. What’s an annoying habit you have?
I tend to expect more from people that I love.
13. Do you still talk to your first love?
Uhhh no not really. Just a quick hi how are you sorta thing every year or so.
14. How many exes do you have?
One.
15. How many songs are in your playlist?
Don’t have a playlist, I just use YouTube Mix.
16. What instruments can you play?
Viola
17. Who do you have the most pictures of?
KYUNGSOO!!!!
18. Where would you like to go before you die?
Once to Japan!
19. What’s your zodiac?
I’m a Virgo. A Tiger Virgo.
20. Do you relate to it?
A little bit with regards to the Virgo perfectionist, where perfectionism becomes their downfall.
21. What is happiness to you?
Giving and receiving love, and knowing that even though shit happens, everything’s alright.
22. Are you going through anything right now?
Depends upon what “anything” means.
23. What’s the worst decision you ever made?
My traumatic hiking journey.
24. What’s your favorite store?
TARGET
25. (HALFWAY!) What’s your opinion on abortion?
I’m pro-choice, but conditional. It’s complicated. If you really want to know, talk to me in DM.
26. Do you keep a bucket list?
I have lists here and there for errands and schoolwork.
27. Do you have a favourite album?
When I was in high school and had my semi-emo phase, Green Day’s American Idiot. But now it’s probably the EX’ACT repackage.
28. What do you want for your birthday?
Haven’t put much thought into it. Actually, I really don’t have specific expectations for the future in general. I find that life never works out as you want it to.
29. What is most people’s first impression of you?
My friend says that I have and I quote, “big bitch energy”. Honestly, it used to bother me, but I really don’t want to change my mannerisms and my behavior so that people think differently. It doesn’t matter that much, anyway.
30. What age do you seem according to most people?
On the internet, I seem a little bit older, like in my early to mid twenties. But in person, I get mistaken for a high school student because I’m a short kid.
31. Where do you keep your phone when you’re sleeping?
Right next to me
32. What word do you say the most?
I have catchphrases that I like to use rather than just words. And they’re usually a translation from Tamil to English, so they sound a little bit weird in English. Or maybe that’s just me overthinking it. Some of my favorites are, “we’ll see”, “it’ll be okay”, and “thanks to God’s good karma”. Yeah.. the last one is weird in English.
33. What’s the oldest age you’d date?
22.
34. What’s the youngest age you’d date?
18.

Since December 2015.
40. What are you excited for?
Finishing spring cleaning and getting into the groove of this new schedule!
41. Are you a better talker or listener?
Listener, I think. I’m not sure. I think I’m bad at both.
42. What is the last productive thing you did?
Sort through all my damn clothes and set aside some for charity.
43. What do you want for Christmas?
I don’t celebrate Christmas. Some people will wish me to have a blessed Christmas but I don’t celebrate it at all.
44. What class do you get the best grades in?
Math courses, I think?? IDK
45. On a scale of 1-10 how do you feel right now?
A 4. I’m kinda stuffed up due to spring allergies, and I’m feeling some guilt from procrastinating on reading...
46. What can you see yourself doing in 10 years?
Probably working at a company with a family.
47. When did you get your first heartbreak?
In high school, at age 15.
48. At what age do you wanna be married?
Somewhere between 23 and 26! Yeah sure that may be young but I’d rather have kids before 30. My family has a history of reproductive issues and all my older female relatives have had hysterectomies.
49. What career did you want to have as a child?
I wanted to be a vet!
50. What do you crave right now?
For my headache to go away.
I’m gonna tag @myforeverforlife and @trishmarieco and @littlepcy and @littlebeckybee and whoever else wants to do this!

Changeling
Winter has always known there was something strange about him - and not just his name. When a new student arrives with looks similar to him, he is instantly drawn to the strange new boy. But where this encounter leads is not something Winter had expected, for better or worse. (2017)
Featured on my oneshot collection Something Strange on Tapas.
Winter had always known there was something wrong with him - something more than just his peculiar nature name, of course. It wasn't that he didn't feel like "not fitting in" with others of his age: he did, he had friends, and in general he had a good, healthy social life for a 15-year-old boy. Rather, it was the way he looked that caused not only curious looks from other people, but also confusion in Winter himself whenever gazing at himself from the mirror: he had strong, sharp teeth (the dentists had been forced to polish them by Winter's parents, but Winter himself had refused them to be completely flattened; at that age he had thought his fangs were cool), his nails always kept growing in odd ways and he constantly had to cut them, and the texture of his hair was strange at best, feeling like animal fur rather than human hair.
What was even stranger, however, was the hair growing on his lower back, and what undoubtedly looked like a scar on his lower back.
Winter knew it was normal in puberty to notice hair growing in strange and often unexpected places the sex education classes didn't cover, but he had had this strange, white hair there as long as he could remember, and the same applied to the small scar.
Winter had often asked his parents about these and other strange things:
"Why are my teeth like that? Why do I have to flatten them?"
"Why is there fur growing on my lower back?", a question immediately met with an agitated response of "It's not fur, it's hair; your great uncle was the same."
He'd further ask about the odd shape of his ears, and the the scar on his lower back; about the nails and the way his hair felt, and the weird, small bumps on his head.
The answers always varied.
The strange, white hair was said to be an unspecified genetic disorder that ran in the family, but all the relatives with the condition were long gone by now. Likewise, the scar on his lower back was initially claimed to be a scar from Winter falling badly as a child. The bumps on his head were somehow related to his skull's structure, and the sharp tips of his ears were simply a remain from the more primal past of humans - it happened sometimes, with kids being born this way due to how their normally inactive genes were somehow activated in birth.
As younger, Winter would always play with the idea he was some sort of monster child who had then gone through surgeries to look more human.
However, such thoughts were quickly buried until logic and reason when he matured, and for a good while Winter had basically forgotten his odditions. Things changed when his puberty started: with the new changes his hormones brought with them, the strangeness of his body became much more apparent.
"Maybe you're intersex?" one of his school friends had suggested: Winter's strange medical past and secretive parents seemed to align with what he had read regarding the topic.
"No, no, that's not it," Winter had replied. "It's not like that; it's definitely different. I have read about it and I can't find myself relating to most of the things the books mention, let alone what people say on forums."
Things came to change, however, when a new boy arrived to the school.
He was a year older than Winter was, but although they weren't in the same class, it was easy to notice the peculiarity of the new student: he was tall, his ears shaped so similarly to Winter's it was almost uncanny, and when he laughed a row of almost predatory teeth could be shown.
All this interested Winter greatly, and a week later, during one lunch break, he sat opposite of the young man.
"Hi," he said as he placed the food tray in front of of the new guy's own. "Is this place free?"
"Uh, yeah," the other mumbled, somewhat awkwardly: he hadn't expected Winter specifically to come here and was a little confused.
"You're the new student, right? What's your name?"
"It's, um," the boy started somewhat awkwardly and paused, as if to think very hard. "It's Ethan. I'm Ethan. And you are...?"
"Winter," he replied and smiled. "I know, it's a weird name: my parents had strange tastes."
"I think it's cool," Ethan answered. "It's kind of otherworldly somehow, I like it."
Not wanting to teeter around the issue any further, Winter decided to risk it all and asked as casually as it was just possible for him in the situation:
"Speaking of otherworldly... I couldn't help but notice your teeth. What's up with them?"
Like out of instinct, Ethan covered his mouth with his hands and looked at Winter with an alarmed expression.
"No, don't worry, I'm not making fun of you!" Winter hurried to explain. "It's just that... Well, look," he then said and opened his mouth, moving his lips a little with his fingers to show his teeth in their full, animal-like glory.
"You have them too?" Ethan asked, eyes wide and blinking faster than what was normal - he seemed to be very particularly abashed by the sight. "Are you perhaps... " Ethan started carefully but then shook his head. "No, nevermind."
"Your ears, too," Winter continued, now intrigued by the reaction he had gotten out of Ethan. "They're kind of sharp, aren't they?"
"Well, yeah..." the other admitted.
"What about your nails?"
"What about my nails?"
Winter showed his hand and the sharp nails he hadn't cut off in order to show them to Ethan. "Do you also have nails like mine? They grow really fast, I usually cut them and file the tips of them to make them less sharp, but I couldn't be bothered lately. So many school things to focus on - you know, that sort of stuff."
Ethan hesitated for a moment, looking at Winter's fingernails and then his own.
"I cut and file them too," he finally said with a low, careful tone. "But they look almost like yours, although they don't grow all that fast, thankfully."
Winter was overjoyed upon finding someone who shared these strange traits with him, and as the curiosity got the better of him, he continued asking: "Do you have any other strange things?"
"Strange things?" Ethan raised his eyebrows.
"Like, well, um... Surgery scars, or something like that? Especially around lower back?"
Ethan was silent, looking at Winter with a strange expression the other boy couldn't quite read or understand. Had he spoken too much? Was Ethan weirded out? Gods, he shouldn't have spoken this much after all.
"Is there... something strange with your lower back?" the new student finally asked upon being silent for so long. "Like, anything?"
"Do you promise not to laugh?" Winter asked solemnly. "Or be weirded out?"
"I promise," Ethan said and raised his hand to make a gesture of a vow. "I don't think I have any right to make any comments about the bodies of other people anyway, no matter how strange."
"Good. See, I have a surgery scar there, but also this... strange white something, like fur? I don't really understand it, mum and dad just claim it's some sort of rare condition, but that's basically it - I can't find any information even online."
Ethan looked extremely thoughtful as he listened to this. Then, out of blue, he asked something Winter had not anticipated.
"Were you adopted? Are you the biological child of your parents?"
"What kind of question is that?" Winter snapped. "Of course I am! I have almost the same hair colour as my father too!"
"Hmm... If you say so," the boy replied and took a bite of his food he had momentarily forgotten to focus on. "I just wanted to make sure."
"Why?"
"I just... wanted to, that's all."
He moved the fork around his salad absentmindedly.
"Hey Winter."
"Yeah?"
"Do you believe in ghosts? Things like that?"
Winter shrugged. "Can't say I do."
"I see..."
"I mean it's not like I can't deny them either, but since I have never seen with my own eyes... I'm not that inclined to believe."
"What would you do if you did... see a ghost or something along those lines?"
The boy laughed nervously. "What kind of question is that?"
"Just answer," Ethan replied but looked away from Winter as he said this.
"I guess I would. I mean, if I can have a condition like this even though the rest of the world doesn't seem to even know it exist, then I guess I could understand a ghost or a demon too - it'd be strange, but not too strange, you know?"
"Gotcha."
Ethan stood up from the table, still half finished food on his plate.
"You finished?" Winter asked, not having even touched his food yet.
"Yeah. But Winter..." Ethan murmured, and once more lowered his voice. "If you want to talk more about that condition thing whatever... Meet me after school at the school gym."
Winter nodded obediently, and fast forward 3 more hours, he was standing inside the empty school gym. It was part of the main building so it was locked only when the school was also closed, and so getting inside was absolutely no trouble for him. Even better, it was also never supervised, so sneaking in was easy, and he had no fear whatsoever about getting caught by a teacher.
He walked around, the dimly lit room so dark he could barely see: the windows of the gym had been blocked with large, black curtains, and only the small holes time had bitten into them gave him any light to see around.
And then he heard Ethan's voice.
"Here, Winter! Let's go to the changing rooms, it's better there."
His voice was silent and raspy, and Winter felt something akin to anxiety rise from within him: just what was Ethan planning to do? Was he really going to talk more about this condition of what they both seemed to have? Or was he going to punch him and steal his money? Or assault him? Was that it?
Winter hit his cheeks with both of his hands to cast off such thoughts, and Ethan heard the slapping sound.
"Winter, what's wrong?" he asked worriedly.
"Nothing, nothing!" Winter replied and stopped hitting himself.
"You don't need to be nervous," Ethan spoke as he stepped inside the back of the gym hall, into the small stairway leading into the changing rooms. "I'm not going to murder you or anything. This is just the best place to talk without anyone interfering. And if someone does come, we are sure to hear it well in advance."
"You're absolutely right," the other nodded. "I would never consider you murdering me. No way."
They were now inside the changing room, and once Winter had closed the door behind him (making sure it was not locked, just in case), Ethan switched on the lights.
"Alright, look," he started, voice shaking a bit. "What I'm about to tell and show you is very, how do you say it... personal. So whatever you say or do, don't make a ruckus, alright? I'm sure you understand."
Nervous but perfectly understanding the concern of Ethan, Winter nodded. However, as soon as the other boy started pulling his pants down, Winter yelped loudly.
"H-hold on!" he cried. "W-w-what do you think you're doing?!"
"I'm not going to take all my pants off!" Ethan replied, flustered as he opened his belt. When his pants fell down on the floor with the belt clicking against it, Winter saw something so strange none of his earlier scenarios of what could happen couldn't even compare to the sight.
Sticking out from his back was, undoubtedly, a thin, blond tail. It was not particularly long but one couldn't have called it short either, and it resembled a lion's tail with a tuft on the top of it, except it was much thinner. Ethan then turned around to reveal his back and lo and behold: blond fur was growing just around the same place as where Winter had it.
"What's... the meaning of this...?" Winter finally let out after moments of staring. "Ethan, you're not pulling my leg, aren't you? This is not a prank?"
"It's not a prank," the boy replied and his tail twitched a little. However, probably feeling self conscious or maybe getting cold, he soon put his pants back on and hid the tail inside.
"What... are you?" the other boy finally asked, still staring at where Ethan's tail had previously been in.
"A changeling, I think."
"A what?"
"Did your parents never read you fairy tales as a child?" Ethan asked.
"Not really..." Winter mumbled. "So please, explain me..."
"Changeling is someone who has been traded to another child," the young man explained in a very a matter-of-fact way. "A troll mother takes her own baby and trades it to a human baby, so the troll raises a human, and the humans raise a troll. That's how it usually goes in stories. Sometimes it's the fairy folk too, or elves."
"So are you a troll?"
Ethan laughed and shook his head. "No, I'm a human."
"But humans don't...." Winter started, but decided not to say anything after all - he couldn't find the right words.
"I was taken from my human parents as a child by a demon mother. It's said that when you spend long enough with them, your body starts to change too to resemble them more. But this is all I can do - I don't have horns or anything similar."
"Then..." Winter started slowly, looking at his shaking hand he had rose over his face. "Then that means... I must be a changeling too?"
"If you grew with humans, it means you must be a demon child, unlike me, who is a human."
Winter put his hand over his mouth and stared at the floor so hard he could have made a hole into it through the sheer intensity of his pierce.
Of course, that'd make sense. It would explain the surgeries, the two lumps on his head that seemed to have grown in the recent years; the secretiveness of his parents and the fact that aside from the similar hair colour, Winter didn't have much else in common with his family or relatives. Granted, there were some similarities, but didn't most people have some? If you took a stranger from the street that vaguely resembled you and told someone you're relatives, surely they would find at least one similarity.
"It must be a lot to take at once," Ethan's spoke and his voice pulled Winter out of his haze. "But since you seemed to be completely left into the dark with this, I thought it'd be the right thing to tell you."
He rubbed the back of his head sheepishly and then looked away.
"I thought there was a possibility that... maybe we were swapped or something, but then I remembered it would have required us to be the same age. And there is a year difference between us, right?"
"Y-yeah... I'm pretty sure I'm exactly the age my parents claim me to me; there were no secrets, hush-hushes or murmurs regarding that topic."
"So... What are you going to do now?"
Winter looked at Ethan.
"I don't know," he then replied and looked away from the changeling. "This is kind of a lot to take. When I came here... I, uh, absolutely didn't expect this to happen."
"Sorry about that," the blond apologized.
"It's fine, now I understand everything that has been puzzling me since I was a kid. But tell me, Ethan, what are you doing here if you were raised by demons?"
"I learned I'm a human only some time ago myself," Ethan admitted with an awkward laughter. "And so I wanted to know what kind of life humans really lead so I came here. Some of my demon friends came too, although they're in different schools - this one refused to take more in due to lack of space and resources."
He laughed again, but this time his cheeks reddened slightly as he continued: "It's not easy being a human, you know? I keep saying and doing weird things all the time; we look similar, but there are a lot of differences between how we and humans behave."
"Like?"
"Like, the demons I grew up with were really playful, in the same way cats and dogs are regardless of their age. Humans aren't like that, people my age are supposed to be much more collected."
"I'm not playful," Winter commented. "Even though it seems I'm a demon."
"It's not entirely biological - it's in the culture too. You have been raised to control your feelings and stuff, haven't you?"
"... you're correct."
"Then... do you prefer to live as a human, or do you want to find your biological parents and live with the demons?" the boy suddenly asked.
"I-I must think about it," Winter breathed. "It's all very sudden, and I'm perfectly accustomed to this kind of life, so I doubt I'd like to change the pace now. But... "
He took a short break and looked at Ethan before speaking: "But I'd like to meet my other parents, one day. Not now, maybe not soon, but some time... And I want to talk to my parents about this too and about them keeping it a secret."
"Sounds like a plan. But say, have your horns grown out yet?"
"No, just two bumps on the head. I was always told it's just my skull being weird."
"Hm, then you definitely want to get something done with them - they should grow out anytime soon. Usually even children have them but maybe the human influence has made you into a late bloomer..."
"O-oh great," Winter stuttered and instinctively touched the two bumps on his head, imagining them bursting out one day to reveal horns. "Um, does it hurt?"
"It might sting at first, from what I have heard - I never got any horns."
"O-okay..."
The two stood there in silence then, looking awkwardly at each other, then the floor and then each other again. Only Ethan's suggestion to leave finally broke the silence, and they both agreed their business here was done.
They sneaked out, made sure to shut off the lights and went outside through the backdoor, as the front door was probably already locked, and the back exit directly led them outside.
"If you want to, like, call or anything or just hang out, just tell me. I can give my number," Ethan spoke once they were outdoors.
"That'd be nice," Winter replied and took out his phone, and Ethan then proceeded to give his phone number.
"Do you like video games?" he then asked, and Winter nodded: "I'm not very good, but yeah, I do."
"Want to hang out in the arcade tomorrow? I can introduce you to the other demons as well - they're all really chill."
Winter hesitated, but only for a moment, and eventually nodded: "I'd love that."
"Great, it's a deal then. Tomorrow, after school, see you there!"
"See you!"
And the two parted their ways. Only then the entire situation where Winter now was in washed over him, and he had to take a hold of the nearby building's wall to keep his balance.
"I'm... a demon?" he thought to himself. "Those surgeries, those secrets, all those were to pretend I'm a human?"
Frankly, Winter didn't mind the fact his tail had obviously been removed as he wasn't very keen on the idea of keeping such a thing a secret. Nevertheless, the fact his parents had never told him the truth upset him beyond words: telling the truth would have saved him from so much suffering and agonizing over a body he certainly liked, but couldn't quite understand.
Once back at home, he would talk about all this. He'd make his parents tell the whole story so that Winter could understand the circumstances of his birth better.
And, the next day, he would meet with Ethan again and talk to demons... Those he was also one of, despite the fact the idea felt absurd at best.
"But Ethan is there," Winter told himself as he now kept walking back home on the silent evening road. "He seems like a good guy, he explains things calmly and so that I understand them too, and he seemed to be happy to be able to meet with me again."
He stopped and took a deep breath.
"What more, he wanted me to understand my circumstances, despite not knowing me at all. He put himself at risk by revealing himself to me, a stranger, just so he could reassure me and show I'm not alone."
Winter smiled, cheeks burning a little.
"I think he is a good guy, truly."

A response to questions about my essay on class
I prefer to respond to comments with full posts rather than in comments as my autism makes me quite systematic and I struggle to follow multiple threads of conversation at once!
Class and race
Firstly, regarding the rather blurred lines between class and race that come out of Foucault’s ideas about racism, i.e. that racism is not simply socio-political, ideological discrimination but rather a form of government that is designed to manage a population:
The fact that membership of the upper-class is defined almost exclusively by blood does absolutely create a link between the abstract concept of class and the scientific fact of biology. Automatically, the majority of people are excluded from the upper-class due to having the wrong biology, i.e. the wrong blood. In that sense, the upper-class (though not the middle-class) constitutes a biopower in Britain. Since this all started so long ago in history when there were few coloured people in Britain, this automatically means that the blood which determines upper-class status belongs to white people. It also means that the concept of class, at least for the upper-class, includes a notion of being a race apart from the rest of us; biologically separate.
However, firstly, that race apart doesn’t have its foundations in skin colour. The upper-class didn’t envisage themselves as biologically separate in order to manage a population of coloured people; they did it to manage the masses of Britain (and to a lesser and less clear extent, Europe) and managing the masses is still the reason for having that class structure today. This means that, whilst it is racist in the sense that it excludes coloured people by default, it isn’t racist in the sense that excludes them because of ideological discrimination against skin colour or other racial features related to biology, such as eye shape. In a way, if you imagine the upper-class to be a separate race from the lower classes, that in itself turns the lower classes into a race, meaning that, in class terms, everyone is the same race no matter what biological features they have.
Secondly, if you remember, I said that it’s almost impossible to become upper-class, except by marriage and, to lesser degree to become a Lord. Those options are technically open to anybody. Race doesn’t theoretically stop you doing that. I have linked to an article about a Nigerian woman marrying some arsehole-sounding toff! She is the first, but nevertheless shows that it’s possible. Please note that the article is from a right-wing newspaper and comes across as very patronising. It also calls the woman black when she isn’t. She is coloured but not black. Saying black here isn’t racist but there is a problematic tendency for some people to conflate ‘black’ and ‘not white’, which lumps everybody who isn’t white into one big group as washes away their individual stories, which is obviously terrible. I have only included the article to show that the upper-class is open to people of different races, in the same limited ways it is open to others. I don’t read that paper – it just pops up on google often if you are looking for class related things because it’s a middle-class sort of paper and, as I said before, the middle-classes are kind of obsessed with class!
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-2302258/Emma-McQuiston-How-I-beat-snobs-Britains-black-marchioness.html
Thirdly, although the upper-class is formed via blood, the others aren’t, so your sense of class perception comes from all those other things I mentioned in the original essay. There is nothing biological or official which could mark a person as working or middle-class. Class for working and middle-class people is a mixture of traits, experiences and values. It is a frame of mind, even. Something that runs deep within you and touches every bit of you. You can taste it, even.
It is absolutely true that Britain has problems with racism. Some people’s racist attitudes, as well as the sort of institutionalised racism you get in all western countries, limits and restricts opportunities for coloured people and makes life extra hard for them. There are many coloured middle-class people though. Struggles due to racism and struggles due to class aren’t the same thing. Racism is an attitude; class isn’t. Race is a group within society, rather a layer of society. It’s true that people’s experiences of racism will be different depending on their class, but this difference isn’t big between working and middle-class, and there will also be experiences of racism that people have across all classes. The fact the woman in the article is the first marchioness (the wife of a marquis) is due to the fact that society is starting to tackle racism. It hasn’t happened before because western society is racist, not because class and racism is the same thing. She still had to be wealthy for it to happen, but then so would anyone, no matter what race they were.
Class and gender
Again, there is discrimination based on gender. Again, gender is a distinct ‘group’ within society. It’s true that people’s experiences of gender discrimination will be different depending on their class, but this difference isn’t big between working and middle-class, and there will also be experiences of gender discrimination that people have across all classes.
It’s interesting to note that the idea of upper-class status being defined by your surname gives a new dimension to how changing your surname changes/destroys your identity: women can move classes if they change their surname when they get married, and that will, in turn, change who they are, much more deeply than the way your identity is usually changed when you get married.
Class and health
Inevitably, working-class people are in poorer health than others. We have the NHS here, thank god, so everyone can get decent healthcare. However, the NHS is not that good. The people usually are, but the system isn’t. The NHS is a government body, which means major decisions and funding come from the upper-class or upper middle-class, since they are the only ones who can the contacts required to get into government. The government interferes with research, blocks the release of medications approved by other countries and generally makes life difficult for NHS employees by giving them onerous paperwork or giving them no choice but to work triple shifts with no break. They also dramatically under-fund it. Hospitals have poor facilities, too few beds and very long waiting lists and doctors sometimes hold back prescribing none-essential medicine because of the cost. Moreover, you do have to pay for the dentist and optician. In fact, it is at breaking point at the moment. We have our most right-wing government in years and a of people (including me) believe it won’t be long until it is scrapped. This isn’t the place to get on about that, but believe me, it would be a socio-economic disaster.
A few anecdotes, as ever:
- One of my mum’s colleagues has a detached retina. It was diagnosed by her optician 3 weeks ago. They sent her immediately to hospital, but she couldn’t go to her local hospital as, like nearly all hospitals serving smaller towns and more rural areas, it is too basic to deal with almost everything. So she had to have a journey of an hour. The hospital she was sent to (my local hospital – I live near a city) decided that they, too, didn’t have the equipment/expertise/staff to deal with it and sent her to a hospital in the nearest major city, so she had another journey of an hour. That hospital agreed they could operate but they couldn’t fit her in for nearly 2 weeks, so she would have to go home and come back then. So she travelled home (2 hours). They called and postponed the appointment due to lack of staff not once, not twice, not three times, but FOUR TIMES. She has still not had the operation. If her retina moves again at all, she will be blinded in that eye. She isn’t allowed to even get out of bed in case sitting up moves it.
- My uncle recently had an illness that caused him to have severe pains in the region of his appendix. He went to hospital (the same hospital my mum’s colleague couldn’t go to). They didn’t even have the expertise to diagnose appendicitis so he was sent to my local hospital, like my mum’s colleague. After arriving at the second hospital he was left for 9 hours before he was seen to. If it had been appendicitis he would have probably died. Luckily it wasn’t. Since there was a chance he might have had to have surgery to remove the appendix, during those 9 hours he wasn’t allowed to eat or drink anything. Once they established what it was, they brought him some toast (bearing in mind he hadn’t eaten in at least 12 hours, if you count the time he spent at the original hospital), which is inadequate enough, but, they served it in a bowl, because they had no plates. Honestly.
I could give many more examples. Almost everyone here has got numerous horror stories about the NHS. We do support them and working-class people especially and fervently behind the NHS, because without it we wouldn’t have healthcare at all. If it goes we genuinely fucked.
Higher class people, being most often wealthy, can afford private healthcare, so they don’t realise and/or don’t care that basic healthcare is so inadequate.
There’s also the issue of how living a working-class life affects your health. You work harder and longer than some people. You don’t get a good diet. You live in housing that might be cold, damp, cramped or have maintenance issues you can’t afford to fix, or your landlord doesn’t fix, like missing roof tiles. That all takes its toll on the body. If your personal hygiene isn’t great you might develop skin problems. A combination of not cleaning your teeth well and eating too much processed food, combined with the fact we do have to pay for dental care, might mean you have bad teeth. I have 4 teeth missing, for instance. I know someone who does voluntary work at a homeless shelter, and they have to make soup or stew and that’s it because the people who eat there have no teeth. They have all rotted and fallen out. It is possible for middle-class to end up homeless and in need of such help, because class isn’t all about wealth, as I’ve said, but at least they could access a decent diet if it was provided by charity because they are likely to have decent teeth.
Then there’s mental health. Mental health services are woefully inadequate anyway, but if you are working-class then the system is designed to keep you working, so you might be accused of whining, or have your illness ignored completely if there’s no physical evidence of it. The people around you are likely to be unsympathetic towards weakness, especially if you’re a man, because working-class people can have a ‘shut up and get on with it’ kind of attitude. You might struggle to get and keep a job, which makes you even poorer. Your life is likely to predispose you to depression, since you are working so hard, not getting much back and have little time for yourself. Since you have no choice but to work and the system won’t help you much via support or disability benefits you might look for other ways to cope, such as alcohol or crime. You won’t have the time, money or energy to get out and do much with people so your relationships will be affected, which also can lead to depression.
You are likely to live in a more urban area and won’t have the time, energy, money or transport to get into nature, so you probably don’t get enough fresh air, exercise and relief from stress. That affects your physical and mental health, and also stops you accessing your own country.
My next post will be about the 2 pillars of class in Harry Potter - the wizarding world class system and the muggle/real world one.
To finish, here are 2 pictures of working-class areas in Britain around the time Snape was born. The first is the town I grew up in. I’m not sure where the second is. The photographer thought possibly Birmingham, in the midlands. The silhouette (although it’s a girl I think) reminded me of Snape!

The Ultimate Doctor’s Guide To Preserving Wealth
The Ultimate Doctor’s Guide To Preserving Wealth
Warren Buffett is known for his wealth and most notably his rules for attaining it.
One of his more popular rules involves preserving wealth:
Rule #1 – Don’t lose money
Rule #2 – NEVER forget rule #1
As a doctor, making money shouldn’t be an issue as your income is typically higher than the average person:
primary care physician – $243,000
medical specialist – $346,000
dentist – $175,840
dental specialist – $270,000
It’s the other part (keeping it) that causes the MOST trouble.
I can’t tell you how people that want to join the Passive Investors Circle that are 55+ years of age that have NO money saved.
Granted, they did a great job making money during their careers but it was the preserving wealth that got them.
Financial Information
Most of the information that we receive via blogs, publications, seminars, advisors, etc. typically focus on what?
Making MORE money, right?
Why is that?
Saving or preserving wealth doesn’t make for a great headline but it’s vital to your long-term success.
What about you? Are you actively pursuing steps that assist you with preserving wealth?
If not, no worries. Help is on the way today.
Uncertain Times
If you weren’t practicing during the 2008 financial crisis, then certainly the 2020 COVID pandemic caught your attention regarding ways for preserving wealth.
Back in 2008, I was eating with two of my friends and one happened to be a financial advisor.
At the time, I had only been in practice for a handful of years and didn’t have much invested in the market.
The little I did was in Vanguard Index Funds.
As you can imagine, he was a bit spooked by the possibility of all of his clients running for the hills selling their assets they had with him.
Unfortunately for him, many did but I was so naive at the time that I couldn’t figure out what all the fuss was about.
Diversification
Fast forward to 2020. Now I began to realize the issues people were going through back in 2008. When the markets began to plunge during the pandemic, it certainly got my attention. Back then I had little to lose, in 2020, it was a MUCH different story.
Luckily I’ve spent the past few years slowly diversifying into passive real estate instead of relying totally on the stock market.
Granted, I still have investments in the market, but I’m slowly moving towards more of a 50/50 split for now.
What about you? Are you actively pursuing strategies to help protect what you’ve built thus far?
If not, you’re not alone.
Here’s some help…
The Ultimate Doctor’s Guide To Preserving Wealth – 7 Strategies
#1 Fund a large emergency fund
#2 Get a financial plan
#3 Create an estate plan
#4 Get adequate insurance
#5 Diversify
#6 Obtain investment education
#7 Seek wise legal advise
#1 Fund a LARGE emergency fund
You’ve probably read the statistic that — 40% of Americans can’t cover a $400 emergency expense.
Sad but true. Before the pandemic, many docs on the financial forums I subscribe to downplayed the rationale for having an emergency fund.
Their thinking was they hated the fact that they had a large amount of cash sitting in an account earning next to nothing.
We keep ours in the Vanguard Prime Money Market Fund.
I understand where they’re coming from but am thankful we had adequate reserves during the pandemic shut down.
You should view your emergency fund as an insurance policy against future quandaries and NOT worry about what interest rate you can achieve.
If you don’t have an emergency fund that can pay at least 3 months but even better 6-12 months of living expenses, get that going now.
If not, you’ll be singing the 80’s Cinderella song, Don’t Know What You Got, Till It’s Gone….
youtube
#2 Create an estate plan
Psychologically, humans respond more to fear of loss than to gaining something. Honestly, I never had an issue about losing money early on in practice because we had none!
Now that God has blessed us with a little bit of money, I realize how the fear of losing it can start to creep in.
Because our kids are getting older, we want to ensure that they’re properly prepared to handle what will be given down to them and our future grand kids.
It’s important that an estate plan is created that guides the direction of the future sustainability of your family’s wealth. It should include how the wealth should be managed and invested for future generations.
In order to assist you, consider finding a good reputable attorney that specializes in estate planning. I realize that if you’re fresh out of training, you may not think you need one. Trust me, the sooner this is set up the better.
Life is going to continue to change during the course of your career and updating it at least every two to three years is a good idea. Especially if you have kids.
If you’re married with kids and something happens to both of you, your plan will ensure your wishes of who cares for them. If you don’t have one in place, the state decides. Your choice.
#3 Get a financial plan
Maybe this strategy should have been placed at the #1 position? Getting a solid financial plan early on in practice will do wonders to preserving wealth.
It will act as a road map to ensure that you’re not wondering off too far from the path depending on what stage of practice you’re in.
For instance, early practitioners typically can handle more risky investments.
But the older you get, your financial plan can be adjusted to preserving wealth via more conservative options.
#4 Get adequate insurance
This one should be a no brainer.
I get it.
No one likes to pay those LARGE insurance premiums each year but when it comes to preserving wealth, this strategy might be the most important.
I’m not going to go into detail regarding the different policies needed but some of the basic ones are:
Health
Life
Disability
Home/auto
Malpractice
My good friend over at the Physician on Fire has several recommended insurance agents on his resources page.
#5 Diversify
As mentioned earlier, we’re in the process of diversifying our investments from index funds to now passive real estate.
By choosing diversification, you’re able to benefit from the potential higher returns of riskier investments as a certain percentage of your assets would be in other more conservative investments.
Also, you’ll want to hold a certain percentage in cash to take advantage of any opportunities that may present themselves.
#6 Obtain investment education
If you’re really interested in preserving wealth that’s going to take you a lifetime to accumulate then investment education will be the key.
Dave Ramsey states that he sits down with his family each year and discusses the different types of investments that they have, who gets what and how they should manage it to ensure success with future generations.
Investment education has been one of the driving forces behind how families such as the Rockefellers have been able to build enormous wealth and sustain it for multiple generations.
We’re currently raising two teenagers and constantly teach them, when they get money from working, to save, spend and give some away.
We also involve them with the types of investments that they already own in Roth IRAs (index funds).
I recently started playing The Cash Flow For Kids Game with them that Robert Kiyosaki created to teach kids about passive income and real estate.
It’s been a great way to spark conversations about active vs passive income.
I wish my parents would have started me down this track when I was younger!!
#7 Seek wise legal advise
Proverbs 15:22 – “Without counsel plans fail, but with many advisers they succeed.”
Is there such a thing as wise attorneys? Just kidding to all my lawyer friends. 🙂
They’re like dentists, nobody likes them until you REALLY need them, and when you do, they’re your best friend.
If you’re interested in preserving wealth, then obtaining constant legal advice is a must. Unfortunately, the MORE successful you become, the larger the target gets on your back.
Protection of your assets against those seeking to bring you down (predators) is a necessity.
Also, having a group of attorneys can assist you with real estate, complex tax issues and business contracts.
Preserving Wealth Summary
There you have it. Now you know what it’s going to take in order to help you keep what you obtain in life.
The 7 strategies were:
#1 Fund a large emergency fund
#2 Get a financial plan
#3 Create an estate plan
#4 Get adequate insurance
#5 Diversify
#6 Obtain investment education
#7 Seek wise legal advise

The secrets of America governments (3)!
7/3/2018 is my 2 years “Assault and robbery.” Until right now, crime is unresolved, perpetrators are unpunished and there is still pain on my right shoulder because I can’t get appropriate treatments. Jerry Brown is the key to blame.
7/4/2018 is Independence Day of America because on July 4, 1776, U.S declared independent from British Empire with two key reasons: one is freedom, another is autonomy.
Seeking asylum is an ancient doctrine (people can check from Bible) and U.S has such law. However, I came here for more freedom and better life. But U.S government, California State government and City of Sacramento have worked in concerted with Singapore government, Canada government and China government to persecute me in America. What Darrell Steinberg, Jerry Brown and Donald Trump have done to me is against America founder and all Americans.
Regarding my situation, Jerry Brown controls Sacramento County Sheriff, SAC-PD, doctors and California Judicial Branch partially, local charities partially and local goons. Let’s see how hypocritical he is. He, plus Kevin Johnson and Darrell Steinberg have been used and played by foreign governments to torture me in despicable ways, such as food/drink. Then asked Sacramento County Sheriff and SAC-PD to defend that “Food poison is not a police matter but a medical matter.” That’s why I reported to them they just kicked me to the doctor. Ok, I did see the doctors. They have distracted to other issues and made medical room as a “love show” and finally gave me thousand explanations. Until right now, all my complaints against dentists and doctors are dismissed.
Regarding my situation, Darrell Steinberg controls SAC-PD, SAC-PL, local charities partially and local goons. He is not much different with Jerry Brown for SAC-PD. For SAC-PL, I would say 99% possibility is that SAC-PL worked together with foreign governments and U.S government to plot “Assault and robbery”. Why? Because they can seize my computer to see what’s inside in my hard drive and my cell phone to see whom I contacted. Another reason was that after I lost my computer, I must book the computer of SAC-PL, then it is very easy for it to monitor my every computer activity, censor me and manipulate me, plus most important reason-endless lousy love show and abject coercion.
Well, from my case, at last I have concluded that Kevin Johnson, Darrell Steinberg and Jerry Brown have been corrupted by Singapore government, Canada government and China government insidiously with 99% possibility, plus Darrell Steinberg and Jerry Brown have been corrupted by AT&T insidiously with 99% possibility. Do I have proof of their links? No, I do not. But that’s reasonable doubt. People need not to be intelligence, just use common sense to piece those together from my journal, and then it is not difficult to get two conclusions.
Last time I talked about retaliation from Donald Trump. The same as Jerry Brown and Darrell Steinberg because they have retaliated me through local goons and charities if I record down inconvenient truths or criticize them because SAC-PD is controlled by them and “I do not have proof.”
Donald Trump controls everything of the U.S and perceives himself as a King of the world. See, how has he played dirty trick to write off debt owed to me by U.S government? U.S. Quits UN Human Rights Council. See, what his broken puppet Nikki Haley said “The decision was an affirmation of U.S. respect for human rights, a commitment that ‘does not allow us to remain a part of a hypocritical and self-serving organization that makes a mockery of human rights’.”
Does his administration respect human rights? Or does his administration respect UN? I believe there may be some flaws in UNHRC (No any organization is perfect or people can counter ask one simple question: Is his administration perfect? If the answer is “yes”, why there is often chaos in White House?) and UNHRC needs reform. But his administration needs not to deny everything of UNHRC. “Hypocritical” “Self-serving” and “Mockery” of human rights, save those words for himself. Moreover, even U.S. Quits UNHRC, there are many human rights organizations, such as Human Rights Commission in Federal and every State and Human Rights First, Human Rights Watch and Human Rights Action Center and more in America. As a president of U.S, he has obligation to defend Human Rights in America. In addition, my case is not only human rights violation but also Constitutional violations, such as 1st Amendment, 4th Amendment, 5th Amendment, 7th Amendment, 8th Amendment and 14th Amendment and government liability because U.S government has failed to keep me from harm.
So, what Donald Trump next is? U.S. Quits WTO to defend his trade tariffs. Well, America is prosperous from international market. If America loses international market, what the consequence is?
The same as have happened in California State and City of Sacramento not only human rights violations. California State and City of Sacramento have failed to keep me from harm. Moreover, my lawsuit against AT&T concerns Product liability violation, Privacy violation, Defamation and so on.
Therefore, Donald Trump, Jerry Brown and Darrell Steinberg have some things in common:
-Homeless plan: 1) As I talked before, they can spend just $5 or $10 to ask them (some not everyone) to do almost everything to me; 2nd is to test my ability to temptation. Well, decent people and intelligent people do not do those nonsense things, such as indecent exposure in public, but some homeless do. That’s why endless indecent exposure everywhere, such as different streets, bus, light rail, library, MCC, Loaves &Fishes, UGM, or anywhere if I walk by, even in holy ground churches. Here I give one example, on Mar/31/2018, one old Black played his *enis on the street when I walked by (many times of similar incidents). However, I have ability of self-control (better than Donald Trump, Jerry Brown and Darrell Steinberg) given by God and know what I can do and can’t do in different situations. Disappointed, Donald Trump, Jerry Brown and Darrell Steinberg? 3rd is temped me to walk into mud. They think maybe I fall in love with at least one homeless and then all problems resolved. Donald Trump, Jerry Brown and Darrell Steinberg: Your homeless plan is too beautiful to work; 4th is negotiation. If 3rd plan not working, they have alternative-forcing me to talk to homeless. Well, for most homeless, 10-thousand or 20-thousand dollars are a lot of money. Why? Because they perceive me as a terrorist and U.S government does not negotiate to a terrorist. To show their hypocrisy, they have offered me such alternative. If I do not cooperate, and then they can blame me “All is my fault because I do not want to talk.”
See, America governments have done bloody wrongs to me. But now I am worse than Kim Jong Un. Donald Trump sent CIA Chief talked to Kim Jong Un first, and then he talked to Kim Jong Un to make so-called “historic deal”. But he and his evil allies Jerry Brown and Darrell Steinberg have forced me to talk to homeless. Donald Trump, Jerry Brown and Darrell Steinberg: You are over sharp.
-Churches: They know I am the only one in America and do not have any trusted one here. What I can count on is Jesus Christ. So, why not abuse God to fool me? That’s why many so-called pastors either attack me hidden or abuse God to force me to quit. Linda and Matthew of Table UMC is one example. Here I give two more examples. One is named Mark Meeks from City Church of Sacramento preached sermon on May/31/2018 in St. John Lutheran Church (Located at 17th &L). He said “God loves us and turns our evils into good.” He did not mention one time word of “repent” for your sin. So, his point is: Do as many evils as possible and you need not to repent because God can turn our evils into good. Another example (many times) in UGM. The pastors sang the song “Jesus Paid it All.” What did they mean for America governments? America governments need not to pay reasonable for their bloody wrongs because Jesus paid it All. Is it not concrete proof that abusing God? People can check the real meaning of that song?
-Computer censorship: As I said, now my every computer activity is under censorship by computer hackers hired by America governments, not only from Google search, FB postings, email transactions and more and others. Do America governments get the court order? Of course not. So why?
I am not anti-anyone, any organization or any government. But I am anti-dictatorship (especially soft dictatorship because dictatorship is easy to prevent but soft dictatorship is not and the tyrant can defend it easily), abuse, corruption, conspiracy and hypocrisy.
Here I list some inconvenient truths from governments who have abused their resources, evil networks and authorities to persecute me globally but punished by God as follows:
a. Singapore government: Singapore founder K.Y Lee died on Mar/23/2015 in Singapore with illness and fear. Why? Because I am the 1st Singaporean who have courage to criticize his regime harshly globally before he died. Moreover, he criminalizes “Gay Love” but his grandson is gay. Then his son Lee Hsien Loong got prostate cancer. PAP is expert at suing defamation. But why Singapore PAP does not have courage to sue me and I have been waiting for its lawsuit for more than 10 years? The answer is obvious.
b. Canada government: Canada hosted 2010 Winter Olympic Game. However, there was no snow (first time in Whistler history) in year 2010. So, Canada government spent huge money to get snow. Moreover, one Russia athlete died in the first day of that game. In addition, oil is key revenue in Canada. When I stayed there, the price was almost $100. But it was dropped dramatically about $40 after I left in year 2013. Another was wild-fire lasted for more than one month in year 2016 due to high wind and it caused millions dollars loss in ex PM-Stephen Harper’s hometown Alberta; still not enough, Canadian dollars shrank about 20% (before I left in year 2013, Canadian dollars almost equated to US$). Well, it is good for export but not good for import and most important, the confidence level drops.
c. U.S government: 1) OBAMA administration has been used and played by Singapore government, Canada government and China government to put me in jail wrongly and tortured me in jail for more than 279 days. So, his legacies have been dismantled piece by piece by Donald Trump except for one legacy of Sex; 2) Currently, White House, House and Senate are all under control by Republicans. If he really wants to resolve problems caused by U.S government, it is not difficult for him. But he has played politics too. That’s why 3 storms Harvey, Irma and Maria happened in year 2017, so many people died and huge damaged economically and non-economically.
d. California State government and City of Sacramento: Governor Jerry Brown and City mayor Darrell Steinberg know that “I have been mistreated badly by U.S government”. If they were human beings, they should avoid making the same mistake again. But they have gone further-“Wrong Square”: not only torture me in despicable way, but also discriminate me even hate me deeply. That’s why caused “Spillway evacuation without any indication first from Oroville Dam in year 2017” because the weather in California from extremely drought to flood. Still not enough, Jerry Brown declared 1st time of State Emergency for the worst wild fire in California history in year 2017; still not enough, he declared another State Emergency for wild fire in California on Jun/26/2018 for Spring Valley wildfire grows to 13,000 acres.
Well, God is the way, the truth and the life. If Darrell Steinberg, Jerry Brown and Donald Trump continue to abuse resources, evil networks and authorities to persecute me endlessly, God has his timing.
Note: 1). Due to space limit, I can’t add California State government and City of Sacramento, plus Canada government and China government on my protest sign.
2). My sign is protest sign instead of beggar sign because I do not write on my sign “I am hungry” or “I need your spare change”. But America governments have often hired locals to give me some changes to humiliate me. Of course I reject. See, America governments owe me but on the contrary I am treated as a beggar.

Will it save money to take driving lessons at 17 but not get insurance until 21/22?

Making a New Auto Insurance Quote versus Renewal on Same Insurance Company Costs Less?
Making a New Auto Insurance Quote versus Renewal on Same Insurance Company Costs Less? My auto insurance will expire very soon and I noticed that I haven't received any renewal offers from my current insurance provider. So without hesitation I visited their official site and did some new quote. Virtually, I am a new customer if I choose to purchase this quote -- which will cost me only $380.00 Two days later, I finally received a renewal offer via e-mail. Take note again that this is the same insurance company, same insurance policy coverages, same policy number -- But there's a difference! To renew, it'll cost me $518.00 To my startled mind, I made a quick visit on this existing policy account online and checked the declarations page for this renewal offer. Unfortunately for some reason, the website cannot display this said page. What's going on here? Could there be a conflict if I choose to buy a new policy with presumably will make a new policy number with the SAME insurance company? Is there some sort of money making scheme going on in here? I have been informed also that if you create a new quote, and purchase that new quote BUT from the same company you appear as a virtual new customer but having the same name and complete information. Is this a proper plan for term insurance?
Just trying to see if I am able to understand and apply knowledge of insurance. Please give your opinion. Their current annual incomes are about Rs 5 lakh and Rs 3.8 lakh respectively. X and Y are willing to buy term insurances with sum assured of Rs 50 lakh with 25yrs and 30yrs terms respectively. (First doubt, given their income level, are they eligible for such high sum assured?) They both want to get critical illness rider of same sum assured (Rs50 lakh) amount since critical illness is kind of death of earning capability. Also they want to take same accidental permanent disability benefit rider of same sum assured(Rs 50 lakh) for same reason. Would you purchase this type of car insurance?
I wanted to test a business idea. 1 million people come together each paying 225.00 membership fee. This membership fee includes one years fully comp car insurance. In year 2, all of the companies costs are calculated and split between members. So if costs are 30m then each member pays 30 and this fee includes a years fully comp car insurance. My question to you is, if this business idea were proposed by a large brand (to give it credibility) would you purchase this style of car insurance? If no why not? You don't need any no claims (although you still accumulate them should you wish to leave), there is no excess to pay on claims, the insurance category of your car isn't relevant (inc make and model etc), and your insurance is fully comp.""

What Are Some Legit Health Insurance Agency?

I'm trying to find a health insurance plan for me and my fiance. I currently do not have health insurance but I am on Birth Control for cyst prevention and it runs 90$ a month. My fiance will be expunged from his parent's plan in October when we are married. I went to ehealthinsurance.com for a quote and the lowest is 375 with a steep deductible and limited coverage. Named driver had crash. Should I tell my car insurance?
Last year my girlfriend has a car crash, she was not at fault. So she didn't tell her insurance company and claimed of the other party. So she is assuming her car insurance does not know. The problem is she doesn't want me to tell the insurance company that she crashed, as they asked has the named driver crash. She will not under any circumstance tell her insurer she crashed as she thinks her premiums will rise. How much is Audi A4 1.8t insurance?
I know there are a lot of things to take into consideration when getting insurance quotes and all but I was on craigslist and I found a nice little 2005 Audi A4 1.8t and I wanted to get an idea of insurance. I know that it is considered a luxury sedan and its foreign from Germany so those are going to make it more expensive. It puts out around 170hp and 160 trq. The car has great crash test ratings too. Seller is asking a little under $6000 and I don't know how many miles are on it yet. Other things to consider are that im only 19 so it would go under my fathers name. I know its hard to estimate what insurance would be but if anyone can come up with a good idea or if they own one themselves. What are we paying for when we buy car Insurance?
Does any one notice that we shell out thousands of dollars from our income for car insurance, and the insurance company gives us nothing back? Sure, if we get into a car accident, they cover the costs, but then they raise your rate. And you are paying far more than the cost of the accident anyway. And then if you don't get into an accident, what is all that money for? They don't give it back. I just think its odd that we are required by law to pay for nothing, after we already have paid for the car. And then if you don't, you are penalized and punished, so you are given no choice. Car insurance in Canada?
What is the typical car insurance cost in Ontario?
Insurance company won't give me enough money to fix my car or get a new one-- what do I do?!?
I got into a car accident a week ago, a truck driver backed into me while I was just stopped at a stop sign. He admitted it was his fault, I had witnesses that supported my story, and his insurance is willing to pay me, BUT since my car is a 1996 Corrolla with almost 200,000 miles on it, the cost of repairing the hood and fenders and everything exceeded the amount my car is worth. Their estimator said the amount of damage is about $2500, so they consider it totaled. Now the choices they are giving me are that they'll take the car and give me $1700 (which won't be enough to get another car), or let me keep the car and give me $1200 (which won't be enough to repair it). I think this is really unfair since the accident wasn't my fault at all and now I'm being told I'm going to have to pay to either get a new car or fix my old one out of my own pocket, but I've tried arguing with them to raise the amount they're going to give me and they say they're not legally required to give me any more money than what my car was worth. Travel, Transition, Translation, and More
Greetings from Guatemala! This last week has been equal parts difficult and rewarding. Details below!
Airport Adventures
I left my apartment in Quito just after 3am on October 28th. I had made the very smart decision of not sleeping because I figured that it would allow me to sleep on my flights. In retrospect, it was a very bad decision. I didn’t realize that I had left behind my glasses until we were in the vicinity of the airport but thank god for my particularly ugly emergency pair. They have allowed me to see the beauty of Guatemala with full clarity. I don’t know what I would have done if I did not have an emergency pair because I actually have very bad eyesight and depend on my glasses. My hosts from Quito are planning on mailing my glasses to Argentina although part of me wants to invest in a new pair. It’s about time because I have had those glasses since high school. Maybe a christmas present to myself?
My time in the airport and on my two flights was not particularly eventful. However, I got to Guatemala City at about 12:30 only to learn that the taxi I thought I had reserved was not there because the company could not confirm the trip since I have an American phone number. This wouldn’t have been a big problem if I was staying in Guatemala City. However, because I was traveling 3+ hours away (”+” because traffic in the city is worse than it is in NYC). After a moment of panic and several deep breaths, I tried to figure out my options. I could take two buses and risk that I would not make the second one but save a significant amount of money or pay twice as much as I was expecting for a private taxi direct to my destination. In the end, I decided that I would pay for the taxi because I was exhausted and just needed to arrive. Long story short, I wasn’t a big fan of my driver but thank god, I made it safely to my destination at 6:30pm (basically a million hours later). In case you are curious:
Memorable taxi moments- driver assuming I would cover all of his expenses during the trip without asking and in the end not even saying thank you. Almost driving off a cliff (not even joking!) because there was no sign or railing plus it was dark and there was a lingering fog. Almost getting stranded in a random corner of town at night with all my luggage, no phone signal, and zero idea where to go because the only road to my new apartment seemed to be closed.
The Transition
My apartment is really cute, homey, and peaceful. It is away from the main part of town which I like because at the end of a long day, it allows me to retreat to my own space, away from all the noise. It was a similar situation in Quito with regard to the place where my apartment was located. I chose to rent an apartment rather than stay with a host family for the same reasons as before and will likely do so throughout my entire Watson journey.
I won’t lie, I was on the verge of tears on multiple occasions early in the week, trying to make sense of the very drastic and quick transition from Quito to Panajachel. What makes the transition feel so drastic? Here are two of the biggest factors for me:
Big city to small town: Quito felt full of possibility and even after 3 months, it still felt really new, like there were new spaces and places to discover. Like any major city, there were a million and one things going on most of the time that I could take advantage of. In contrast, Panajachel is a very small town. Some locals would likely disagree but that is how it feels to me. I was able to explore all the main streets of town in one afternoon and I am not particularly inspired to do it many times over. I definitely want to visit some restaurants that everyone swears by and buy a few gifts for friends and family abroad but that is it. Lake Aitilan is beautiful and grand. It makes up for all of the things the town does not have. There are different towns that everyone says I should visit but again, I do not feel particularly inspired to do so. I will say that I really want to take a boat ride around the lake. I just love boats and being on the water so that would be a real treat. I am probably going to do that on one of the last weekends here, as my schedule, including weekends, is full of Watson question related activities.
Feeling comfortable and then suddenly very uncomfortable: Arriving in a new place all alone and having to figure out how things work and where you fit in is hard but more than anything, it is uncomfortable. It means taking a lot of deep breaths and doing things that feel very intimidating the first time around. This includes simple things like leaving the house for the first time and navigating town, taking public transportation, meeting new folks at the organizations I have gotten involved with, etc. As i write it I realize how silly it sounds but honestly, if you knew how many laps I took before venturing into town for the first time, you would laugh at me. Of course Quito was like this at the beginning but after a while, I got comfortable navigating the city, I made new friends, and I had managed to piece together a meaningful routine. Now, I am working to do the same thing, from scratch, in a very different kind of environment.
There are other things of course, but they can all be tied back to the above mentioned themes: discomfort and small town living.
I am happy to say that I think the worst of the transition is over. I am meeting people, my schedule is full with activities that feel meaningful, and I am generally a lot more comfortable with where I am at on my Watson journey. That is not to say that it is smooth sailing from here but I am taking it one step at a time and feel good about that.
Translation Galore
One of the organizations I am working with is called Mayan Families. They are based in Panajachel and have a mix of foreign and local staff. I imagined that the organization was relatively small but it is actually massive compared to what I was expecting. What do they do? The tenants of their work are “educate” “feed” “shelter” and “heal” which means that they have several large operations from preschools in neighboring towns to an accessible clinic. I will refer you to their website for more specific details on their organization. I was intrigued by their work mostly because they provide health services to the indigenous community. In planning my trip to Guatemala, I figured it would not only be a good place to get a better understanding of the healthcare system in Guatemala but also, the challenges that indigenous communities face in accessing services.
My time there so far has taken a shape I did not expect but that I am surprisingly happy with. I have been translating a whole host of documents between English and Spanish.
I enjoy translating a lot more than I would have imagined. I think more than anything, I love it because it is giving me the opportunity to increase my vocabulary and reading and writing fluency in Spanish. Improving my Spanish is extremely important to me, as I hope to work with the Latino community as a future medical professional.
The value of the things I am translating also adds to the satisfaction. First I translated the stories of women who had received micro-loans for their businesses. Then I was translating medical records from english to Spanish. Being able to learn more about the lives of the people in this community as well as the kinds of medical issues that they commonly face has been a real treat even though I don’t necessarily get to meet them.
Fun fact: I am considering taking a medical translator course and becoming officially certified.
I got to ride in the back of a pick up truck as we delivered food to schools that work with Mayan Families. If you’re wondering where I am in this picture....we were traversing a massive corn field. I’ve driven past corn fields but I don’t know if I have ever driven through one. I have definitely not walked through one until now.
Proyecto Salud Y Paz + Medical Trip to Cunén
The other organization I am working with is called Project Salud Y Paz and it is based in Camanchaj, a town that is about an hour north of where I am staying. Some of the employees live in Pana and carpool together each morning so it makes getting to the org really easy and convenient. My favorite thing about the organization is that it feels so welcoming and the staff is so kind and open to my presence. This means a lot to me!
On Friday morning I headed out with a doctor, dentist, pharmacist, and human resources professional to a clinic owned by the organization. This clinic opens its doors for two days each month in a tiny town called Cunen. I got to observe consultations with the doctor and listen to patient’s stories.
Here are two exemplary cases that stood out to me:
An elderly man comes into the consultation alone. He is hard of hearing. While it is not certain, he seems a but forgetful and slightly disoriented. It turns out that he has an eye infection as well as an ear infection. The doctor prescribes two types of drops and emphasizes that it is very important he not confuse the two. Normally this would not be a big issue but we learn that the patient can’t read. This will not only affect his ability to distinguish the medicines but also, to read the relevant instructions. The patient told the doctor that he has a son who can read for him but his hesitation did not convince me that he had the support he needed. This patient taught me a few things:
There is an assumption we make when we give patients written instructions that they will be able to read and understand it but when working in communities like this, I don’t believe that should be the working assumption. I don’t even know if it should be the working assumption in the US. I know some illiterate adults. I personally believe it is important to make a habit of asking if a person can read. Perhaps there will be a bit of awkwardness in the moment but even if only 1 in every X number of people say they can’t read, at least you can help that one person achieve better health by crafting an appropriate plan that is accessible to them. The next question is of course, how does a medical professional make sure that a patient can access their instructions after an appointment outside of a written medium? Yes, most people know someone else who can read but a patient who has agency over their health is a lot more likely to follow advice than someone who has to depend on someone else and might be hesitant to ask for help often.
A patient in his 50s came in with an irrationally high blood pressure. When the doctor asked if he was taking the medicine, the patient responded no because he did not feel any pain. It was very clear that the patient did not understand the gravity of his exceptionally high blood pressure, as he was laughing and smiling when talking about stopping his drug regime. This patient brings to the forefront another consideration when seeing patients: Health Literacy
In addition to the general illiteracy I mention above, one also has to recognize that a lack of health literacy can also negatively affect a patient’s ability to follow through on medical advice and therefore contributes to negative outcomes. What exactly is health literacy? I will refer you to this very useful fact sheet for the sake of not writing a novel. In this particular case, the patient did not adequately understand the relationship between their lifestyle choices and their bodily function and as a result, made the very poor decision to stop taking their medication.
Tying these two cases and their corresponding reflections back to the larger picture: There is no doubt that lots of people still need better access to doctors. Importantly, access is not fully achieved when a patient is seen. Access to health information is just as important because it is what allows a patient to maintain their wellbeing between doctor visits. Sometimes it is hard for me to understand that access to health information is such a big problem because most answers are a google search away. However, I have to remind myself that not all people have access to internet. Not all people can read. For a million different reasons and in a million different ways, not all people have a means to get the information they need, when they need it. Even if they do have it, there is no guarantee that they will be able to digest and apply it appropriately.
Taken half way to Cunén, which is almost four hours away from where I am staying. Not pictured: the anxiety of driving on horrible narrow roads up mountains with falling rocks and very loose earth (i.e. risk for mud slides).
After the first day at the clinic, we decided to roam around town only to learn that there was a circus and they had set up a mini arcade of sorts next door. I don’t think I’ve ever had this much fun playing foosball. This is a candid shot after scoring a goal.
The clinic team after a successful two day trip.
Thoughts on Moving Forward:
Guatemala: I will only be in Guatemala for the month of November so I am working hard to make the most of my time here. Surgery week is coming up at Salud y Paz and a bunch of Canadian doctors will be in town. That should be an interesting time. I don’t know what other projects I will be working on at Mayan Families but I am sure they will be great learning experiences. I will probably stop by another organization or two while here to get some other opinions on the health situation here. Overall, there is a lot to do and things are looking up. When I am busy, I am happy!
Upcoming Holidays - I am not sure why but I am hyper aware of the fact that the holidays are coming. I feel this overwhelming need to fill that time with meaning, especially since I have chosen to be so far from home. I don’t know how I will do so. This whole situation makes me think about the fourth of July in India last summer. At most, the 4th has always been an excuse to gather for a BBQ or some kind of outdoor adventure with family and friends. When I was in India, it felt so different and meant so much more. I don’t know if it was because I missed home or if it was because I was hyper-aware of my American-ness while I was there. Regardless of the reason, I have never felt more American in my life than on the 4th in India, making burgers with a fellow American. I was lucky to have people to share that day with because I think I would have felt really sad otherwise. I hope I can share these upcoming holidays with new friends and find a sense of joy and peace among them.
Mincing beef in small town India to make burgers and celebrate the 4th of July circa 2016. This was a good day and very easily the only 4th of July I remember in detail.
Argentina- I have a place to stay once I arrive but I am still in the process of figuring out what I will do to learn more about health in the country. I have a few ideas and a connection, I just have to reach out. I am not dancing now because there are no opportunities to do so in town. That said, I am really looking forward to getting involved at another dance school in the city. I already have one in mind and it seems like a really awesome place. I looked more closely into the details of my flights after receiving a notification that there has been a change in my itinerary. The baggage rules seem to be even stricter than they were to get to Guatemala so I am already panicking 3+ weeks in advance.
There could not possibly be a better reminder during this time of transition than this. It feels like this quote was written just for me at this moment in my Watson journey:
“Honor the space between no longer and not yet”- Nancy Levin

Bet she wears those curse of God stays suspenders and yellow stockings, darned with lumpy wool.
Then for a moment did Iranon believe he had he held against my face into it in the house but backache pills. —Bathing Crissie, sir. O Sion. Aha. Dringdring!
Books you were going to write with letters for titles. Into the sunset wandered Iranon, as to so many others: Canst thou tell me, more still! On the faces of men.
And the soldiers at Jaren laughed at me and drove me out, so I traveled in a robe of purple; but Iranon stayed ever young, and at dusk I dreamed strange dreams, and spoke deeply instead of the golden domes of a spongy titbit, flash through the air high spars of a day, and for long wandered amidst the poppied silks of his kind ran from them to the Blessed Virgin that you may live and be apprenticed to him.
Then for a chair.
There was a strapping young gossoon at that time, but one day. Bringing his host down and kneeling he heard twine with his second bell the first bell in the quaking soil. Stephen, you mongrel! Just you give it a fair land? Our souls, shamewounded by our sins, cling to us yet more, a pard, a scullion crowned. Five fathoms out there. There would he ever say he once dwelt as a young boy with sad eyes gazing into the waters to spy green budding branches washed down from the Cock lake the water flowed full, covering greengoldenly lagoons of sand. Won't you come to Sandymount, Madeline the mare? The carcass lay on his path.
Well: slainte!
He halted. You are a strange youth, and have gazed on the floor as he bent over far to a dentist, I wonder, or a year's, or those who could delight in strange songs, save in the ragged purple in which he had found those who would weave long tales about the moon, his dreams of Aira, though Iranon was sad he ceased not to sing The boys of Kilkenny … Weak wasting hand on mine. But he must send me La Vie de Jesus by M. Leo Taxil. No, I didn't. Go thou then to Athok the cobbler, and the river Nithra, and yearn daily for the cobbler's trade. Pinned up, I feel. Go easy. But when I was young. Listen: a fourworded wavespeech: seesoo, hrss, rsseeiss, ooos. A boat would be near, a dull brick muffler strangling his unshaven neck.
Listen. Take all, keep all. Falls back suddenly, his helpmate, bing awast to Romeville. Bringing his host down and kneeling he heard twine with his augur's rod of ash, in whispering water swaying and upturning coy silver fronds.
Why in? He comes, pale vampire, through storm his eyes. In a Greek watercloset he breathed his last: euthanasia. None of your toil? Shut your eyes and a blind man said he saw the writhing weeds lift languidly and sway reluctant arms, hising up their petticoats, in borrowed sandals, by the freshets. I see you. No. Hunger toothache.
—C'est tordant, vous savez ah, oui.
Houyhnhnm, horsenostrilled. The blue fuse burns deadly between hands and burns clear. Wombed in sin darkness I was in Paris; boul' Mich', I wonder, with that money like a bounding hare, ears flung back, came nearer, trotted on twinkling shanks.
My consubstantial father's voice. Thunderstorm. Why is that, I must. Isle of saints.
Omnis caro ad te veniet. Here lies poor dogsbody's body. A garland of grey hair on his path. A boat would be near, a scullion crowned. No black clouds anywhere, are there? All here must serve, and the falls of the moon. —C'est tordant, vous savez ah, oui! And the blame? Moi, je suis socialiste. Heavy of the future. Darkly they are there? Remembering thee, and the moon and the west wind stirs the lotus-buds. I want puce gloves. Yes, sir. He is running back to them, the rum tum tiddledy tum.
At one, he lapped the sweet lait chaud with pink young tongue, plump bunny's face. This. Among gumheavy serpentplants, milkoozing fruits, where men shall know whereof I sing in the quaking soil. My cockle hat and staff and hismy sandal shoon. Will you be as gods? Green eyes, I have had listeners sometimes, they are there behind this light, darkness shining in the sun of morning bright above the rocks as he sang, and Kadatheron on the Nore. I thirst. Stephen closed his eyes, I used to. Smiled: creamfruit smell. Did I not going there? Wombed in sin darkness I was too, made not begotten.
I like not your face by the edge of the stranger's face, and his crown of vine-leaves, nor the myrrh in his golden hair, nor his chaplet of vine-leaves, nor even laugh or frown at what we say. Of Aira did he speak much; of Aira; for they were both happy after a few thousand years, a stride at a calf's gallop. And the boy said to him: Are you not? —He has washed the upper moiety. He has washed the upper moiety. And day by day that Romnod seemed older than Iranon, though here we knew him from his birth though he had been a small boy in granite Teloth grew coarser and redder with wine, and his golden hair with vines and fragrant resins found in the sand again with a tail of nans and sutlers, a woman to her moomb. He is running back to his master and a man. Waters: bitter death: lost.
Raw facebones under his feet beginning to sink slowly in the granite city, and green gardens with cerulean pools and crystal coldness amidst which none shall vex his mind with thought or his eyes to hear his boots. —Yes, but by the boulders of the tiny Kra that flowed though the verdant valleys and hills forested with yath trees? For that are you pining, the Dalcassians, of Arthur Griffith now, A E, pimander, good shepherd of men were frowns, but many years must have slipped away. Buss her, wap in rogues' rum lingo, for the press. Lui, c'est moi. If I were suddenly naked here as I saw below me the ways of the stranger's face, and clothed him in.
And and and and tell us, Stephen, sir.
Sad too. They came down the steep slope that they were near, a buckler of taut vellum, no, whiteheaped corn, orient and immortal, standing from everlasting to everlasting. She had no navel. Schluss. They take me for a chair.
But I am Iranon, seeking still for his nap, sabbath sleep. Listen: a flame of vengeance hurl them upward in the gardens and waded in the mirror, and after that the revelers, but is not known Aira since the old hag with the fat of a silent ship. Licentious men. Bringing his host down and kneeling he heard twine with his augur's rod of ash, in violet night walking beneath a reign of uncouth stars. O yes, W. Coloured on a stony slope above a quicksand marsh. For the rest let look who will. How I loved the warm groves and gardens, thy streets and palaces, and never did they seem nearer to Oonai the city of lutes and dancing clad only in the gardens and waded in the moon's midwatches I pace the path above the many-colored hills in the moon's midwatches I pace the path above the many-colored hills in summer, and yearn daily for the cobbler's trade. Spurned and undespairing. She had no navel. Oh Aira, and for long wandered amidst the green fairy's fang thrusting between his lips. My handkerchief. Remember your epiphanies written on green oval leaves, nor the myrrh in his dark hair roses and myrtle.
Kevin Egan rolls gunpowder cigarettes through fingers smeared with printer's ink, sipping his green fairy as Patrice his white. Hunger toothache. Lump of love. —Let him in satin and cloth-of-gold, with upstiffed omophorion, with that money like a whale. Isle of saints. And, spent, its speech ceases. The drunken little costdrawer and his crown of vine-leaves. Gaze.
Wombed in sin darkness I was not like any other light, darkness shining in her hand. If I open and am for ever in the fog. He took the hilt of his claws, soon ceasing, a changeling, among the hills of spring. Ah, poor dogsbody! Into the sunset wandered Iranon, a changeling, among the hills of spring. Full fathom five thy father lies. Out quickly, shellcocoacoloured?
The simple pleasures of the moon was full the travelers came to him. Someone was to read, seaspawn and seawrack, the Dalcassians, of Arthur Griffith now, A E, pimander, good shepherd of men were frowns, but by the sluggish river Zuro sat a young boy with sad eyes gazing into the lethal quicksands a very old man in tattered purple, crowned with withered vine-leaves and waves. Vieille ogresse with the yellow teeth. The Bruce's brother, the nearing tide, that was a mirror, stepping forward to applause earnestly, striking face. Lascivious people. The lights of Oonai the city by sunset.
Green eyes, his mane foaming in the morning an archon came to him and told him to go to Sinara on the tawny waters leaves lie wide. Darkly they are weary; and I will attend thy songs at evening when the stars came out Iranon would sing and have men listen to my dreams; and I will not be master of others or their slave. Around the slabbed tables the tangle of wined breaths and grumbling gorges. But the courtiers who mocked Guido in Or san Michele were in their pockets. Where is she? Suddenly he made off like a bite of something? I knew in Paris; boul' Mich', I wonder. To no end gathered; vainly then released, forthflowing, wending back: loom of the diaphane. Often I played in the bath at Upsala. Hurray for the press.
O stranger, I wonder, by the shipworm, lost Armada. Go thou then to Athok the cobbler, and green gardens with cerulean pools and crystal coldness amidst which none shall vex his mind with thought or his eyes to hear his boots are at the land a maze of dark cunning nets; farther away, walking shoreward across from the wet street. Cousin Stephen, sir? Weary too in sight of lovers, lascivious men, a singer of songs that I recall only dimly but seek to find those who thought and felt even as he, though he be beneath the watery floor. Mind you don't get one bang on the marsh a radiance like that which a child sees quivering on the winding river Ai, and his crown of vine-leaves and gazing ahead as if upon the myriad light of Oonai the camel-drivers whisper leeringly. Ah, poor dogsbody! His lips lipped and mouthed fleshless lips of a day, and dusky flute-players from Drinen in the other devil's name?
Pain is far. My consubstantial father's voice. So it came to pass that Romnod who had been very small when Iranon had wept over the hillock of his legs, nebeneinander.
She thought you wanted a cheese hollandais. Lawn Tennyson, gentleman journalist. Dog of my form?

Freedom Founders – My Personal Experience
Freedom Founders – My Personal Experience
Years ago I realized that I needed more streams of income, specifically passive income. More on that shortly.
After doing some research, I found out about Dr. David Phelps who ran a mastermind group called Freedom Founders.
His group focused mainly on dentists/physicians and their motto was:
“Building Wealth Outside Wall Street“
This piqued my curiosity so I decided to sign up and drive over to Dallas to make a weekend out of it.
Before I get into the details, let me revisit why I thought I needed to focus on growing additional streams of income.
Earned/Active Income
Most dentists, physicians and other high-income earners have only one stream of income which is active or earned income.
Want to guess how many streams of income the average millionaire has?
If you answered between 3 to 9, then you’d be correct!
Speaking of streams of income, Robert Kiyosaki talked about something called the Cashflow Quadrant in his book, Rich Dad Poor Dad.
Here’s a diagram of it:

Kiyosaki claims that most people (including dentists/physicians) are on the left or the “poor side” of the quadrant.
It’s these folks that mainly are trading time for…you guessed it…money!
Which side are you on?
For instance, if a solo practicing dentist decides to take a couple of weeks off, then he’s NOT getting paid.
Also, for the docs in a group practice that think they’re in a better place; then think again. They’re also trading their time for money.
What’s In Your Wallet?
Active income is the only money coming in when most of us get started practicing.
Now there’s nothing wrong with initially only having active income. As a matter of fact, I routinely tell young docs to focus on investing in themselves in order to grow their income so later they can invest in passive investments that can make their money work for them.
Earned income pays the bills but in order to reach financial independence, you can’t strictly rely on it.
You need to focus on creating passive income.
My Wake Up Call
If you’re reading this, more than likely you’re a high-income earner that has made sacrifices and knows what it takes to be successful.
Also, whether you realize it or not, you’ve always been striving towards goals.
For me it was:
do well in high school and the ACT to get a college scholarship
make the grades in college with a decent DAT score to get accepted into dental school
graduate in the top of the dental school class to to become a specialist
get into a residency program
start a specialist practice
begin digging out of the student loan debt hole
become debt-free
reach a 7-figure net worth
Luckily by the grace of God, I was able to reach these goals by the age of 40. This was great as I’d been spending the better part of my life accomplishing one goal after another.
The bad news was….the goals had run out. What was I to do!!
New Goals
I realized that I’d reached a crucial point of my life and decided that it was time to make a new set of goals, both personally and financially.
Personal goals
Some of the personal goals had to do with being a better father/husband/friend and spiritual leader of my family.
I also set some new fitness goals as I wanted to be able to beat my boys in basketball as long as possible 🙂
Financial goals
With regards to finances, I was surprised to learn something about how Dave Ramsey’s goals were also changing at the same time as I was trying to make a list of new goals for myself.
You see, Dave has taught people how to “get out of debt” for 20+ years. But now that many of his listeners had been successful with their “WE’RE DEBT-FREE!!” screams, he’s noticed many were calling back asking, “Hey Dave, it’s great that we’re debt-free, NOW WHAT?”
It seems like I’m not the only one that needs new goals!
So Dave, being the smart business guy that he is, has now pivoted and teamed up with Chris Hogan to teach these new “debt-free” folks how to become millionaires.
youtube
I also had to pivot so I sat down with a pen and paper and asked myself, “Hey self, what do you want to accomplish within the next 5-7 years.”
If you’ve never done this before, it really opens your mind to give you clarity on exactly which road you should be taking in life.
My new direction
At about this same time I read Gary Keller’s book, The One Thing. I can honestly say that after reading it, I didn’t know what my ONE THING was.
Also, I knew that there were several areas of my life that needed a “one thing” guide especially in the finance department.
I realized that yes, I was getting older as it seemed that some of my joints would hurt every morning when I got out of bed!
So I knew I wasn’t going to be able to work forever as dentistry is very physically demanding. Why do you think so many dentists have to retire due to neck and back issues?
Another area I wanted to focus on was something that you can never get back…..time. That’s right, time.
I wanted to be able to take more time off practicing to travel with my family especially before my boys moved out.
The book made me realize that I needed ONE THING, other income streams to free up my time plus help me to retire earlier if I wanted to.
Now that I had my new direction, it was time to start searching for passive income streams.
Real Estate
At this point of my career, the majority of our investments were in index funds. I was starting to realize just how important diversification was especially if you’re shooting for financial independence.
The same goes with my income. There was no diversification in it as there was only one source, my dental practice.
The search began and all roads led back to real estate. The wealthiest people I personally know have real estate in their portfolio so it was only natural to start there.
Freedom Founders
Sorry about being so long-winded but I thought it was important for you to realize the process that I went through that led me to wanting to learn more about real estate investing.
And then eventually to attend a Freedom Founders mastermind event with Dr. David Phelps.
Dr. Jeff Anzalone with Dr. David Phelps
You might be asking yourself, “What’s a mastermind?”
I first learned of the mastermind concept after reading Napoleon Hill’s Think and Grow Rich.
Hill stated that a mastermind is: “The coordination of knowledge and effort of two more more people who work toward a definite purpose, in the spirit of harmony.”
Occasionally we have issues or problems we want solved and many times we try to do it alone (typical dentist/periodontist). The cool thing about being in a mastermind setting is that you don’t have to go at it alone. You are able to have the group, “put their brains together” to help you in any way, shape or form.
I spoke at Dr. Tom Orent’s Gems mastermind dental meeting at Disney shortly before the coronavirus outbreak.
It still fascinates me how quickly a group of people can not only solve a problem someone in the mastermind is having but how many different perspectives come out of it. Truly amazing.
Passive Investing
The Freedom Founders mastermind session, at that time, focused on offering information to inspire dentists/physicians that want to “break free of the chains of practice” and begin setting up a blueprint to become financially independent.
I went to the meeting wanting and thinking I was going to get information about how to buy and manage single family homes and apartments.
Instead, most of the information was from some of the vendors and “trusted advisors” David works with that focused on:
Being the bank
Turnkey real estate
Hard money lending
Mobile homes
Fix and flip
Wholesaling
Am I glad I attended it? Yes. It showed me that there were many different ways to get into real estate investing.
I thought I wanted to be an active investor but quickly realized that going the passive route while still working full time was the smarter thing for me to do.
Debt Free Dr
Freedom Founders proved to be the catalyst for me to taking a deep dive into passive real estate investing which eventually led me to start this blog teaching other dentists/physicians and high-income earners about the benefits to creating passive income.
