SCRAFTY!!!!! i'm obsessed with that stupid lizard. criminally underrated. fun shape, silly concept, cool typing, and the combination of screech + hi jump kick + brick break + crunch with the ability moxie has always been very fun to play with in the postgame since i caught mine in black and moved it up to Y, alpha sapphire, and ultra sun.

my first pokemon game was emerald, but i only really got into the metagame with soulsilver, and so gen v was the first gen i was tracking from the very first leaks... which was a lot crazier back before pokemon games just had one worldwide release date; most of the teasers and ALL of the leaks were in japanese. everyone was bashing scraggy and scrafty when their designs got leaked but i loved them at first sight ;o;

just looking at scrafty takes me right back to that little window in time, being 13 and trawling /vp/ (i don't know how i got there either) for the hottest new strats and leaks, screwing around with downloading pokemon from online generators, and getting my first real taste of competitive battling. even with all the ugly parts of that board, i wouldn't trade those memories for anything.
