i use As I Am brand dandruff shampoo. the problem with dandruff shampoo is that it really strips the fuck out of your hair. so it’s fine for straight hair but if you have curly hair that needs product to maintain moisture and hair health you’re fucked. i haven’t really found anything else out there personally that didn’t also dry the fuck out of my hair and basically make it a frizzy, dry, unhealthy mess.
Anyone else got chronic dandruff who has good tips on managing it? Coal tar has been the only thing to work for me (not zinc sadly) but i also have thick hair that needs hella moisturization so I'm trying to balance hair that needs to be washed a lot with less product to collect (dandruff) and hair that needs to be left alone with extra product (curly hair) god help me
#thanks to the shampoo i can go close to a full week without having to wash#and i don’t completely strip my hair of all moisture and nutrients every time#i still get some dandruff occasionally but it is MUCH better and far less noticeable#washing your hair with water that uses a water softener helps too but a water softener is fucking expensive#otherwise i’d look around the black people hair product section OP#selsun blue and head and shoulders fucking ruined my hair. and made the dandruff worse because now my hair was even drier than it was#before i started#also i am black so#the suggestions in the notes didn’t work for me cause they’re geared towards white people#and tea tree oil never did shit cause my scalp and hair wouldn’t absorb it#so it basically slid right off#salicylic acid makes my skin burn so i think i may be allergic#most oils also cause skin reactions for me#good luck tho OP let us all know what works for you when you get it sorted!

Top 10 Signs of a Spiritual Awakening!
Alright, so, in keeping up with the times, and recognizing the fact that the minds of the masses are severely handicapped; consisting mainly of myopic immature spoiled brat mentalities with the attention spans of gnats jacked up on glucose, ( sorry for all the big words, but you'll have to make due for now, as Elmo is on vacation and couldn't make it here in time to give you the word of the day ), I will now occasionally start to offer up some videos conforming to the formats of top ten, and how to. I will do this because, apparently, all the ones out there seem to be programmed to like content packaged in this way, and so, in an effort to try and reach some of those sleeping inconsequentials, and perhaps chip away a small portion of rock from the giant concrete block that is imprisoning their minds, I am willing to engage in some less then savory genres.
But understanding that, just know that this is still a philosophy channel; a deep zone wherein the fundamentals of truth and reality undergo disquisition and dissection. So if you are expecting the usual packaging of style over substance, of bells and whistles and goofy music, of snippy clever conceited narrators, I call em needle nose nasal boys, you know... the ones who sound like they are not yet fully through puberty, or perhaps have no balls to begin with, yet think that having a vapid vacuous opinion on some shallow trendy subject is some sign of a profound novel accomplishment, if you are expecting any of that, then you are definitely in the wrong place. Sorry, no needle nose nasal boys here. I know you love and want your needle nose nasal boys. But, no my friend, not in here. You will not find any needle nose nasal boys in here. In here, you are gonna have to deal with big balls and bare bones. So, you know, you might wanna stop the video, and flee. Either deal with it, or go back to sucking the teat of mediocrity, lies and delusion.
So onto the current topic! The top ten signs of spiritual awakening! Oh boy. Now before I get into my own list, I'd just like to say that I have seen many other similar lists concerning this topic, and they leave a lot to be desired, to say the least. Mostly these lists reveal that by and large people don't even know what a spiritual awakening might actually be, other then perhaps some commercialized corporate Hollywood MTV notion of the concept.
Examples such as this:
( 1st pic )
“Activity at the crown of your head. Tingling, itching sensations running over your scalp. Feelings like someone is applying pressure on the top of your head.”
What is this, spiritual awakening or a dandruff shampoo? This is completely stupid. A spiritual awakening is a transaction of awareness, not a bodily sensation. The tingling on your scalp stems from having your head up your own ass. Remove, shampoo, rinse and repeat.
Aright, here's another one:
( 2nd pic )
“You may begin to see sparkles of light, shadows, balls of energy, grids of light, movement from the corner of your eyes. You may also hear your name being called, voices, humming in your ears, fleeting smells, and become aware of "someone being close to you.”
Ooooooh, it all sounds very paranormal, doesn't it? I can't decide whether these indications better describe schizophrenia, sleep paralysis, or an acid trip. You decide.
And here is a third one:
( 3rd pic )
“Common symptoms of spiritual awakening.”
Symptoms? What... Is enlightenment like an STD? Is it something we pick up from the doorknob in the shit house? A symptom is generally considered a physical or mental feature that is regarded as indicative of a condition of disease, not of something beneficial... so I'm not quite sure this is correctly applied here. Better to just say common signs of spiritual awakening... even though most of what follows is horseshit.
“Heightened sensitivity of your physical senses.”
This doesn't follow, as awakening involves the knowing that awareness is foundational, which reveals sensory experience as a mere mental phenomena, of which physicality is a facet.
"Desire to form meaningful relationships.”
Yeah, this isn't an innate quality of our species... it only becomes a factor when someone is becoming illuminated. Of course, this isn't really necessarily true. An awakening is usually more likely to happen when we stop seeking relationships as a means to make us feel better about ourselves. If you are not meaningfully fulfilled within yourself first, seeking it in another person is not gonna produce anything fruitful, and certainly isn't a sign of an impending enlightenment
“Visions and premonitions that come true.”
Well, this depends on what one concludes from such a phenomena. What is a vision or premonition ultimately indicative of? Does this reveal that visions and premonitions are a mental phenomena and that reality is awareness? Or does this mean that your ego has some special ability which is a sign that enlightenment is going to happen TO your ego? This is important to discern.
“Change in sleeping patterns.”
It's just plum wrong to suggest that a sign of awakening is the condition of having disrupted sleeping patterns. I know the intent here is probably innocuous, as this is mostly just wishful thinking that perhaps gives a self soothing sense of hope to the many people out there who are struggling with sleeping problems right now, but if we wanna get real, then put this one to rest; as it completely misses the mark. Quite contrare: Make sure you get plenty of consistent restful sleep. Without it, your mind will be too disturbed to realize it's own nature.
“Reoccurring or vivid dreams.”
Not sure what this one is reaching for, as any and all experiences you have are vivid dreams. If one dream happens to reoccur, why should that matter? Wisdom and truth are not found from a search for something within a dream. What matters is what you are learning from the event of a dream. Are you mostly lost in your dreams, unaware that they are dreams, or are you becoming lucid in your dreams more often? The latter I would posit as a good sign of a possible illumination.
And lastly:
"Urge to adopt 'spiritual practices.”
Which may or may not be a sign of anything. In truth, most so called spiritual practices are just mindless rituals performed in obedience to dogmatic dictums. Hence, most of these practices represent a misapplied focus. It may be true that one who adopts spiritual practices is a person who thinks they want spiritual enlightenment, but as far as it being an actual sign of spiritual enlightenment, it does not follow. So unless they are practices that emphasize the cutting of ties with the false, or the gaining of intimacy with the truth, they are just empty formalities.
So anyway, this is a prime example of a ill conceived list, and there are many of them out there... obviously composed by those who are not even sure what a spiritual enlightenment is, much less what might signify one, which is why the list ultimately comes across more like the classification of side effects from a prescription drug, then it does a catalog of signs for spiritual illumination. But this is a common problem faced by those who seek to walk a spiritual path: the unquestioned tendency of directing the attention to sensory phenomena rather then to the source of the sensory phenomena. As I have said before, and this maxim strikes to the heart of the problem with much that is wrong with the new age movement: people have long anticipated some kind of spiritual "shift", awaiting prophetic dates, celestial events or global apocalypses, all the while overlooking the key. The issue here is not looking for a sign, but of looking for a sign in the wrong place. So, with this in mind, here the Meta Sage's top 10 list of signs of a true spiritual awakening:
10. A complete lack of interest in politics and religions.
9. The presence of a deep inner urge to find out the truth.
8. A noticeable decrease in motivation towards constantly seeking excitement and mundane pleasures.
7. A loss of interest in always trying to scheme and manipulate circumstances for an outcome.
6. You are having a gradual realization that a serene mind is the natural state, and is far more preferable to any other emotional state.
5. You no longer have the need for identifications with superficial attributes such as race, gender, or sexuality.
4. You assume full responsibility for reality.
3. You are comfortable with uncertainty.
2. You find that your only identification is with awareness itself.
1. You have an unconditional love and acceptance for all that is, as it is..
So, there you have it. Hope you enjoyed it.
End.
