Ghetsis facts:
>At least two grunts are scared of him (musharna being able to spook them off with visions of being scolded by Ghetsis)
>His speeches does in fact convince some people to release their pokƩmon or at least second-guess their view on the trainer-pokƩmon relationship
>Tells the grunts to give Bianca's Munna back
>Persuasive enough to essentially wiggle some of his Guys out of arrest in Driftveil, even if Clay does it reluctantly
>Knows Reshiram and Zekrom would not fuck with him so he picks up a miracle child from the forest to do it for him instead. Raises said child kind of like his own but also kind of not, there's a deliberate distance put between them
>Did make this wonderchild who can speak to pokƩmon and are clearly very empathetic towards them hang out with pokƩmon who had been mistreated for the purpose of instilling an ideology in him.
>Randomly has 3 ninjas who are just ride or die until the end of time for some reason
>Lots of team plasma is ride or die for him actually, otherwise Neo Team Plasma wouldn't have been a thing
>He rubs the death of Alder's partner pokƩmon in the mans face. All cheeky beaky like. Because he can.
>He will tell the teenager his Adopted I Swear Not Related Promise son is fixated on as a rival all about how he basically groomed say son into doing all of this dragon bullshit while having them cornered on a bridge. Then just casually walks off. His ninjas are there too.
>Will also happily tell said teenager they probably aren't that special or chosen or whatever, lol lmao, seems like ur dragon haven't woken up yet, dw maybe it will, lol.
>Cannot take an L to save his fucking life. Will lash out at everything and everyone around him and build a stupid airship with a stupid laser powered by the crinkly old grandpa of the dragon trio and do a terrorism before taking an L
>Refers to himself as being PERFECT while inhaling massive amounts of copium
>Needs a cane in bw2 and is only ever seen using one of his hands, so probably physically disabled to some degree
>Strong enough to jam the butt of that cane into the solid frozen earth of a cave. Probably just kind of a visual metaphor for him being threatening but also Hear Me Out What If He's Fucking Built-
>N is ride or die for him enough to still try and get through to him during the bw2 climax despite having been utilized as a silly little pawn yet again. This does not work, because as previously mentioned, man just cannot take that L
>When faced with literally no other option but to take an L, he passes out. His ninja squad punctuates this with him probably not being a threat anymore.
Ghetsis interpertation:
I think all of these things weave together into just a very fascinating person when you look at them a little deeper. Someone who's clearly charismatic enough to acquire that much loyalty, love, and fear ā€” but also not equipped to handle the shame of failure in the god damn slightest. When threatened he devolves from a calculated cult leader above it all to a snarling animal fighting for its life, because he's probably rotted away behind a mask of perfectionism for years rather than done any significant growth as a person. He's clearly intelligent, probably highly emotionally intelligent because if he wasn't he wouldn't be able to pull this shit, but all of that shatters and breaks and splinters with one (1) crucial failure. He tries to recuperate but can't, the survival instinct is breathing down his neck because to him the shame of being a human like the rest of them rather than the perfect ideal he's been forging is scarier than anything that could actually physically kill him. He blames N, he blames MC, Colress, just about anyone and anything that doesn't end up pointing back to his own shortcomings.
And still! N probably loves him! And it's probably genuine! He wants to connect with him and breach that gap and give him ibuprofen because even if he's shown himself to be cringe, that's still his father, which is something he values enough to try and hold on to. And the ninja guys remain ride or die, so there's clearly something to him other than schemes and trickery, something genuine and beautiful that might not in practice be worth fighting for but it sure feels like it.
A beautiful man who's warped himself into a demon because he couldn't stand his own humanity because he's probably autistic and traumatized from his undefined childhood, and when he's beat down, rather than taking that L at long last, he'll curl up in his little cage, continue to snarl and tell himself over and over that this is what he is. What he will always be. He couldn't become god so he resigns to dying a devil. Because even still, that is preferable to him over taking that L, admitting to himself he is just a little guy like other little guys with problems he couldn't cope with, and that it caused hurt and destruction.
Devils don't feel regret or shame, humans do. And he'd have a loooot of that to chug through if he decided to face it. So he won't.
which is just very sexy and milfy and babygirl of him i think. this is my "why ghetsis is like so sexy actually" manifesto, without even tapping into the juice that is him going "nuh-uh" over his own dang disabilities but that too ties into how he can't cope with his own imperfect humanity so u know. Also that he's just kinda sassy and petty. Amazing. 10/10 best written character not in the games but in my brain.

ā€œI mean like, Iā€™m glad Kyogre had the Hope light duties this time around, but fuck me it was a goddamn nightmare dealing with Incarnate shit twice fold, with Dravol and her fucking army and staying ahead of my poor kid to stop her slaughtering the shit out of everyone cause she got scared of them, to making sure Laivan actually was alive with Kyogre.ā€
Tumblr media
ā€œSee, the problem is with the system is that itā€™s broken as fuck, Susano. Itā€™s FUCKING CO-DEPENDENT, and NOT in a healthy way. I have half a mind to turn into Taiji right now and go give my fucking mother a piece of my mind, but I am just exhausted after all that shit. I took a nap, but uuuughā€¦ā€
Tumblr media Tumblr media
ā€œAfter I woke up today, I brought the meat and came here to finally actually take a fucking break from the goddamn nonsense of the last 4 years. I donā€™t blame Dravol. That girl has got the weight of the world on her back, and is handling it like a champ. Sheā€™ll be alright, I know that now, so I can finally relax a bit. At least until the light is released, and the barrier is cast.ā€
Tumblr media Tumblr media
ā€œI mean, I certainly loved them, sure, but I never called them mine. (And I was still conflicted on Reshiram and Zekrom, as well.) They werenā€™t mine, and most of them werenā€™t keen to have another parent after the abuse they went through. So, I pointed them in the right direction, gave them shelterā€¦ made sure they got what they needed, taught them how to hunt and find food, etcā€¦ā€
Tumblr media
ā€œI didnā€™t take on many human kids. Their needs are a hell of a lot more complex than a Pokemonā€™s. For them, I just made sure they would be alright, got them in with the right people, kept them away from troubleā€¦ not much I could do for them to be honest with you. Iā€™m not human after all, even if I take on the appearance of one.ā€
Tumblr media
ā€œDravol was different, though.ā€
Tumblr media Tumblr media
ā€œIt just took me a few years to accept that I did, in fact, love her as my own. And when I realised thatā€¦ Taiji and I became reconnected, and my Godhood, as well as my emotions, were completely restored, just like Omni told me 2 million years ago.ā€
Tumblr media
ā€œIā€™m still going to yell at her later, but no doubt sheā€™s going to have a lot of people yelling at her, so I guess weā€™ll see what happens.ā€
Tumblr media Tumblr media
ā€œAnd since you didnā€™t touch the meat I left you, I am glad youā€™ve gotten more proficient at hunting then! I was pretty worried about you, especially after the whole debacle with the poachers and all. Good thing Dravol scared the piss out of them before I got out of my bloody ball, or theyā€™d be dead. But Incarnate powers are dangerous as fuck if used wrong, and they certainly knew it after that.ā€
Tumblr media
ā€œGlad she was around to let me out of that fucking ball, I tell you what. First Team Plasma, twice, then that? Uuuugh. Fucking humans and their superiority complex, I swear to every God that fucking exists.ā€
Tumblr media
ā€œSo, that was my crazy ass story! Whatcha been up to, Su? Anything new happen, other than apparently having people pester you as well? I had my fair share of weirdos show up on Mt. Silver to talk to me. Itā€™s the most interaction Iā€™ve had with mortals for a while now, come to think of it.ā€

[An audio post. Listen?]
There is the sounds of walking and breathing for a few minutes, the distinct sounds of wilderness slightly further away.
The walking stops, and Daves voice comes through clearly, "Hey man." She starts, forceing the words to come out, "How have ya been? Sorry I hadn't visted last year, havin' to travel for my job an' all."
With a shuffle of clothing and a soft thud, Dave sighs, "Do the others still visit ya? Well, probably not today, it was always our thing. Coming out here, getting away from the city." Papers shuffle, "I diddd find some old photos of us, actually. Man, I dunno how we managed out here in those suits. Even the uniforms were made for field work." There is a pause, "But...I hope they do. That I didnt taint how they think of you." Dave swollows.
"Its weird. I...I thought they would be mad when you died. But they wernt, not at me at least. They almost seemed worried." Another pause, the sounds of metal klinking together, "Even your parents, they never even blamed me. Even if they probably should have." A sniffle, more ruffling of clothes, "No, no, you dont want to hear this. I have some gifts, besides the photos. Candles to keep you warm, a statue of Zekrom to keep you safe, an' some metal for your Aron."
Dave breaths out heavily, shakily, "I hope you like it, my freind."
The last sounds is just the sounds of birds singing.

When I tried to befriend Zekrom at first, it repeatedly struck me down in refusal. I don't blame it for reacting that way, I should have been more patient and changed my approach (or.. left it alone altogether.), but I can't deny that being attacked multiple times by a legendary dragon hurt. A lot. It knocked me down until I could barely get back up, and I still have scars on my arms and legs from it. Even with that in mind, I know Zekrom was holding back significantly at the time.

"So, I was offered to be the headmaster-"
Nate hangs upside-down from the Mankey bars; he was no longer as small as he used to be when he was twelve, but he was happy he could still find himself enjoying the playground as if he was.
"Headmaster? For the school?"
"Yes. The league has been thinking of renovating the school to be bigger, and finding new staff,"
Cheren pushes his feet against the grass- embarrassingly enough, it doesn't do so much as lightly sway him and his swing like a delicate feather at Driftveil Drawbridge.
"Something about offering a similar experience as the massive academy in Paldea."
Nate thinks for a bit.
He's seventeen now, months away from hitting eighteen and having more responsibilities on his plate; becoming champion at twelve was an ideal he had reached and made into his truth, and he would forever be thankful for big bro Cheren (and Hilbert, he supposed) for holding his hand through the entire ordeal.
The thought of big bro Cheren finally being rewarded for his long wait, his patience, it made Nate smile a little.
"Why not!" He chirps. "Our little city of Aspertia is gonna be bustling like Driftveil if we do! Well, and you'll be getting an amazing opportunity!"
"I mean, yes, it would greatly be beneficial for our city, but-"
"You'll do great, big bro! After all," He grins cheekily. "You had a hand in raising this champion, right?"
From his Master Ball, Nate could just feel the way that Zekrom rolled his eyes at him.
Cheren snorts slightly.
"You know that's not what I'm worried about."
"I know."
He was no longer as downcast as he was when Nate met him five years ago, no longer plagued by horrors that none of them were able fully to grasp- he had been quite content living his quiet, simple life as a humble teacher and gym leader, having had enough of the brief time he was momentarily thrusted into the spotlight against his will.
Nate knew full well his insecurities were not stemming from his own lack of confidence in his abilities- but his fear of being gazed upon, only to be perceived as something that was anything but him.
The revered Heart, the pure Vessel, the ruined Ghost-
"Do people still bother you for that?"
"Of course. There was only so much my brother and the rest of the league could do after all,"
The mention of his brother brings a feeling of warmth- he had just received a present from him from Alola, he should open it as soon as he got home.
"And I can't blame people for being curious. Beebee's books mentioned every nook and cranny. Of course people connected the dots and assumed she was involved in something deeper involving the legends- and that included her friends."
Not to mention The Order of The Heart- as far as the league was concerned, their members were still scattered about the region.
"But,"
He smiles slightly.
"I think it's getting easier to handle. I've been skirting my way around it. People just assume I'm too busy for their nonsense- besides, between us, who looks more ridiculous? The guy that barges into a school to ask its teacher about rumors of him being a human sacrifice? Or the human sacrifice itself standing before him, alive and well?"
It no longer burns his tongue when he says it like it is- just as how it had been when he was fourteen, naive and unsuspecting.
"Big bro, you should definitely pick up lying-"
"Oh I do,"
"You do?!"
"If they insist on getting a firsthand interview from 'The Heart' reborn," He knows he has full permission to utilize his memories as he wishes- The Heart would have gladly let him. "They shouldn't be surprised when he starts cursing them out for 'awakening him from his slumber'- what do they think, that the dead would be content with constantly being badgered about the way they died?"
"Hell yeah, stick it to 'em, big bro!"
"Language."
The orange sky fades into purple, the lights from the city accompanying the stars that slowly start to fill the sky. Very soon, the Illumise and Volbeat would join, and Aspertia would become a city of lights- different from Nimbasa at the mainland.
"..would you take it though?"
"Hm?"
"Bein' headmaster! I think you'd do great at it- and it's not just for Aspertia and future trainers, but.."
He feels like he's twelve again, looking up at the podium where the newly assigned sixteen year old Cheren Slater stood before him, ready to partake in their first gym battle.
"..I really think you deserve it. You've worked as hard as everyone else, and you've waited long enough."
"Nate.."
"Champion's orders," He grins again. "You can't turn it down!"
He can- he knows full well that he has the choice to.
Being the mentor of the champion meant that he had the power to influence his decisions- but Cheren wasn't willing to do such a thing.
He had enough of wanting more; whatever hand he was dealt with, whoever he was now, he learned to be gracious- though that didn't mean he held his tongue when he felt he deserved better.
He definitely did- he knew that much.
But he could never turn back time, just as The Heart could never take back his wish.
The silence in his chest, stillness like water, his cold palms; the tranquility that came with his embrace, his soothing, wintry touch-
It had grown to be a part of him; something that those he loved accepted.
"I suppose I can't,"
He chooses to entertain Nate's inner child- goodness, he was taller now, and in a few months, he would be an adult.
He couldn't be any prouder.
"Stay by my side?"
There's no hesitation. "Of course!"
"Even through the paperwork?"
"Well, maybe not that- that's what you have big bro Hilbert for!"
He expected that much. He doesn't mind.
Nate offers to walk him back to his apartment, and in turn, Cheren offers for him to stay for dinner with him and Hilbert- though he makes an exaggerated expression, there's a skip in his step as Nate thinks about sinking his teeth into big bro Cheren's delicious cooking, sharing a meal with both him and the half-brother he had finally grown to love.
As they pass by the trainer school, closed down for the night, Cheren could not help but smile, warmth blooming in his chest.

HOLY FUCK CNXMCNZK
I knew that the Champions would be disappointed with Iris almost losing, that theyā€™d definitely berate her for not being strong enough
BUT THEYRE LAYING THEIR HANDS ON MY GIRL IRIS. THEYRE LEGIT BEATING HER UP FOR ALMOST LOSING HER TITLE
Diantha really just told Cynthia to put Iris in Hell for timeout. But god even without Giratina in the distortion world itā€™s still pretty scary looking. Canā€™t imagine being stuck there for an hour and thinking youā€™ve been abandoned or something
But ough, this time the punishment will be even worse. Because Iris wasnā€™t just down to her last PokĆ©mon, she was down to her last move. If she made the wrong call then sheā€™d no longer be champion, but luckily (or unluckily) for her she won that battle
But yeah the Unova kids
With the next champion meet up in Unova and them spying on the meeting, itā€™s only a matter of time for one of the champions to ask Iris about the challengers sheā€™s faced in the past while. And she answer truthfully for all except one, but Diantha had eyes watching Iris that report back to her. So the color drains from her face when Diantha asks about her last challenger, Hilbert. And the way Diantha is looking at her tells Iris that she knows. And thereā€™s nothing she can do to get out of this
God all five of them watching in horror as Iris tries to get away from the champions and explain that she still had her title, she never lost. That sheā€™ll train even more then she already is. But it gets even worse when a portal opens up and Iris starts panicking even more then she already is
Theyā€™re all smart enough to know that they could never take down 8 champions so they just have to watch Iris getting tormented by them. But Hilbert definitely feels like shit because this is all happening to her because of him. If he gave up sooner then Iris wouldnā€™t be in this situation
Im fucking vibing man bc this post is gon be on top of my post abt the Unova kids being wholesome likešŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ¤£
But yeah, things are heating up in the au huh ouo
But holy shit imagine tho, Cynthia already in the Distortion World, Gira's tendrils coming out from the portal, grabbing Iris' limbs, slowly pulling her down with them, and Iris is there, fighting back, trying to not be pulled down in Hell w Cynthia (bc Cynthia was terrifying and Cynthia was merciless and Cynthia wants her to scream until she loses her voice, Cynthia wraps those tendrils around her neck until she sees black, and Cynthia would just laugh at her and sneer and jeer and tell her how useless their training was if she's still this weak), begging Diantha to forgive her, that she'll be better, I promise! Diantha, please! I promise I'll be better! But Diantha just looked at her, glaring at her, disappointed, and with a snap of her fingers, Cynthia finally dragged Iris down to the Distortion World with her, her sinister laugh echoed within the room, and it sent a shiver down the Unova kids' spines.
God imagine how much that'd fuck then up, finding out whats happening behind closed doors, that they start to panic too, every bone in their body telling them to run, and it only took Bianca tugging on Hilda's shirt for them to run.
Imagine them trying to get away from the champions as quickly and quietly as they could. And god Hilbert was so fucking guilty, he was honestly crying as they ran, blaming himself that Iris had to go through that, and he just fucking hates himself god he hates himself so fucking much so so fucking much his friend is hurt because of him
The others try to calm him down before he spiralled even more to the point Cheren and N had to carry him out, as he actually passed out
And yo all five of them staying w each other that night, terrified that the champions might find them, that one or two of em has to stay up to be on guard, Reshiram and Zekrom's pokeballs at the ready, hoping that the champions also don't have another legendary PokƩmon w them
The next day, they see Iris again, and she acted like nothing happened, she was still her usual (well, the usual now) self, and she's there w the champions as if they didn't just drag her to hell and back the day before

Hybrid ingo driving away any suitors from s/o is actually a really funny thought, heā€™s usually so nice but the moment someone tries flirting or asking youā€™re single he immediately comes in and hisses at them, canā€™t blame his instincts though
Assuming this is like Zoroark Ingo because I don't think the other three would hiss. Angry moth stomping in and like spreading his wings to look more threatening is a funny a thought. Or Chandelure Ingo trying to make his flame look more intimidating. Zekrom Ingo probably just walks up and looks down on them.
He still tries to be respectful and not fully give into his instincts. Ingo has more human training than Emmet even if he's a full hybrid (because he actually listened to his human parent), but his brain forces him to intervene. His lips pull back into a snarl, and he ends up growling without thinking about it. You are pulled into his side while his eyes refuse to leave his assumed rival. They would clearly be nervous by the actions of the hybrid. Ingo would never actually hurt someone, but he's simply overcome with the urge to protect you and drag you away. His ears are pointed straight up and his tail is puffed up two times its normal size as he pulls you to perceived safety.
He's huffy for the rest of the afternoon and refuses to leave your side. Ingo may even break out into tears and admit how scared he was about the idea of you choosing another mate over him. He's not at all as aggressive and active as his brother, and sometimes he worried he acted too nagging over you. Hold him and reassure him that you love him and that his assumed flaws aren't actually that. The older twin is now dreadfully insecure.

How would Elliot and Alexis actually react to Eternatus ! Leon in TBWS, with their own stories influencing them? You know them best.
Putting this below! Consider both a spoiler and a canon divergence ( from what I see how it would go down)
I wouldn't be surprised if they both felt some misplaced guilt when first seeing Leon. Especially Alexis, who before had this antagonistic view of Leon before the two bonded more. Of course, what was happening was neither of their fault, no ones really ( well, except Rose), but it didn't stop them from feeling it.
And of course they would feel panicked when seeing him for the first time: literally possessed and in a poor mental and physical state. The want to get him separated from Eternatus, but they literally have no clue as too how. Alexis, at most, gets the same vibe as he did with Danica ( as she probably showed him a bit of her powers, which coincidentally was from another Eldritch like dragon), but it was nothing like this. So at best, they had to fight and hope for the best. They do try to get through to him, make him calm down more. They, uh, weren't expecting certain things to happen though.
Afterwards, realizing that this was very much a thing, they would take it among themselves to try and teach Leon. And by teach, they mean help form a bond between Eternatus and Leon, since that's how they learned. This is where Elliot shines, since admittedly, Alexis and Zekrom's bond have been strained a bit, as Alexis has been pushing that part of him ( any by extension Zekrom) away. They still care for each other! And their bond is still strong, it just needs more work. Elliot, however, has plenty of time to bond and train with Reshiram, with the advice and guidance from N and her time recovering in Alola. Alexis still helps, being the support and literal rock for Leon to lean on when things get stressful.
Alexis tries to help Leon not feel ashamed by his scars. He knows how painful they can be, but it could also mean something knew. ( Or for Elliot ' it sucks but we live with it and move forward', which...yeah). They remind him to take his time, and that nothing is going to be perfect. It doesn't have to be. Just one step at a time. Also having fun with it ( pranks WILL ensue and nothing will stop them. Blame Elliot.)
I hope this was cohesive! And that this made sense and actually answered the question! But thanks for the ask!

(shaymincafe) Rosemary @Baozhai: Dragons used to live in White Forest? But if White Forest is gone now, what happened to the dragons?
The Cofagrigus had been sitting down. Minding her own business as she kept an eye on the wounded giant near her. Despite their recent conflict. Yemir had still been moping about. Pulling the iron cuff off her dismembered limb delicately, the giant cradled the hunk of iron delicately. Baozhai remained silent, that is, until a crimson colored Shaymin approached her.Ā
The ghost said nothing, eyeing the small creature with curious eyes while Rosemary voiced its question about that last statement Baozhai said during her fracas with Yemir.Ā ā€œAh, been eavesdropping, have we? I suppose I canā€™t blame you, given the trail of destruction left behind. Youā€™ll keep that a secret, wonā€™t you?ā€ Baozhai seemed unusually relaxed about the whole ordeal.
ā€œWell, dragons did live in White Forest. But Iā€™m not referring to something so simple as your typical Haxorus or Druddigon. If that were the case. I wouldnā€™t feel so compelled as to expedite our journey towards Sheidal. No, the dragons I speak of are of a certain reputation. Given that youā€™re a Shaymin, I have no doubt youā€™ve heard of the Tao Trio.ā€
ā€œReshiram: Fiery herald of truth.ā€
ā€œZekrom: Unrelenting spark of ideals.ā€
ā€œKyurem: Frozen arbiter, judge of their worth.ā€
ā€œWhite Forest held significant importance to the three of them. What do you think will happen when they inevitably return, only to find such a sacred place reduced to ash?ā€ Baozhaiā€™s tone had grown dark, her eyes narrowed as she returned her gaze to Yemir.Ā ā€œMy charge has power. Dare I say more than any being has a right to hold. But she lacks experience, skill and wisdom. Even one of them will be more than a match for Yemir. What role the giant has to play remains a mystery to me. Yet, it would be a shame for such a mighty titanā€™s story to end so soon, no?ā€

Zekrom: Iā€¦ am terribly sorry to hear that.
Regrettably, there still exists someā€¦ bad blood between me and my brother as of today. Last I saw him, we managed to part on relatively good terms. However, I suspect he still partially blames me forā€¦ a tragedy that occurred in the past. And I suppose I am not completely void of said blame.
N: Zekromā€¦
Zekrom: ā€¦But despite my earlier statement, Reshiram truly has found a reliable human companion, one that I know he will be happy with. Even though he can frustrate me to no end, I still care about him and his well-being. I hope you are able to one day mend things with Bolt, Solaris. As different as we may be from them, they are still another half of us, regardless of whether or not we are combined or separated. Things are sure to balance out with time.
"Oh? I didn't expect meeting another version of myself."
"And I aswell was shocked to know that this version of my brother identifies itself as female."
@ask-zoroark-n
N: O-oh. Another me? Uh, wow, this is- this is quite unexpected.
Zekrom: Indeed. I suppose the rumors Iā€™ve heard of this ā€œRotomblrā€ being a communication central for beings of alternate realities and the like are true.
N: Zekrom, you knew of this?
Zekrom: More or less. Anyways, yes, in this universe I am referred to by more feminine terms, though that is just because it is my personal preference of identification. In this world at least, gender is not a concept us godly beings are confined by. We simply go by whatever we want, similar to how many mortals do.
N: Youā€™re taking this all extremely wellā€¦
Zekrom: Well, most deities like me are born with an inherent awareness of the multiverse. However, with me lacking any sort of ability to grant me travel across dimensions, I never expected to actually stumble across another version of my other half. That being said, how are you, Reshiram? Itā€™s nice to hear from you, even if you are not the one Iā€™m familiar with.

OKAY so hereā€™s a write up of the dream I had, copied from some Discord messages.
Pokemon BW spoilers ahead.
So I was writing an AU about Melanie and I knew I was dreaming, and I was letting my dream write the story for me as I controlled Melanie and I made suggestions on how things should go. Melanie said that she wanted to make a group of people who were to protect pokemon from harm, so she refurbished an old building and turned it into a sanctuary. Ā A few people joined her and they began rescuing hurt pokemon. Then one day, Melanie met Ghetsis who said he wanted to help her out with her group and said heā€™d be a good contributor. Melanie agreed since she needed all the help she could get. I think Melanie was 18 in this AU. N was with Ghetsis and he was younger than Melanie (16, 17 maybe) Melanie noticed that N had some really bad issues such as anxiety and had clear signs of PTSD. Melanie didnā€™t want to press too far into what was going on with him, but she wanted to help N get better. Melanie had spent many years learning how to understand PokĆ©monā€™s feelings and how to help them out, so she knew she might be able to help the smol child. So I forgot to mention, the members of the group lived in the building and N had his own separate room away from everyone and at night Melanie would come up there and bring one of her pokemon there to comfort N. Sheā€™d also do other nice things for him. She had wondered what caused N to be so upset, but again didnā€™t want to invade Nā€™s privacy so she just tried helping him casually. Then one day, Cabbage Man ā„¢ļø overthrew her, and brainwashed (likely through a PokĆ©mon) the members of her group into thinking humans are evil and they were the only ā€œniceā€ humans. Thus Team Plasma was formed, and Melanie was super upset about this. She tried to get Ghetsis to stop, but he attacked her. Melanie then found out what was upsetting N so much, and knew she had to do something but didnā€™t know what to do. She ended up ā€œjoiningā€ the new group as she figured out a solution, but would occasionally leave the base and disguise herself as a civilian[8:11 AM]to try to get some help. So the events of BW draw out, but Melanie is the one following the player rather than N and is trying to get help with the situation. But people find her suspicious, since she always appears when Team Plasma is nearby. She eventually reveals to the main character that she accidentally caused Team Plasma to form, and she is trying to find people to help reclaim her pokemon sanctuary. But nobody believes her and thinks itā€™s a trap to get their PokĆ©mon. Right afterwards when she pleads to the main character that she NEEDS help, Ghetsis appears alongside a brainwashed N and they battle the player, and sheā€™s visibly distressed as she feels like it was her fault that they managed to find the player. She watches as the battle unfolds, and the main character loses and has their PokĆ©mon taken. The main character is mad at Melanie and strikes at her as they blame Melanie for what had happened. She says that she promises to return the stolen PokĆ©mon, but they donā€™t believe her so she runs off again. Back at the base, Ghetsis thanks Melanie for ā€œluringā€ them right to him, and promotes Melanie to ā€œprincessā€. Melanie had been able to resist the brainwashing until then, but when she put on the crown it was as if it immediately took control over her. She completely changed and became aggressive, even hitting her Mimikyu after it tried to help her.[8:17 AM]BW events continue, but N is the one following the player now. When asked about Melanie, he says that she got ā€œpromotedā€ to a higher rank and has more important things to do now, confirming the main characterā€™s suspicions that she was part of Team Plasma. N seems to be an ally of the main characters, though something is suspicious about him. Then they have to get the legendary dragons. But N is able to get both of the stones, and runs back to the base. He gives Melanie the Light Stone, and then the two of them go to the tower. N thanks Melanie for all she did for him, and says things will all be over soon and theyā€™ll be able to change the world. Melanie says thanks for him being her friend and having someone believe in her. The two of them awaken the dragons, and then the brainwashing on them goes away, and Melanie remembers what really happened. The player character + the rivals arrive at the tower and see N and Melanie with the dragons.
The main characters are upset that they got the dragons first, and were afraid that the bad guys would win. N and Melanie then explain to them the whole story, N saying about how his father took over Melanieā€™s sanctuary and turned it into a terrorist group. Melanie explains that all along she wanted to help them, but was taken over by Ghetsis. They then say that they need help defeating Ghetsis once and for all, and Melanie says she can help them find their PokĆ©mon. The main character is skeptical, but they join them. They fly back to their base, and then realize that Melanieā€™s building had been destroyed and was now a huge castle. But the castle seemed wrong, like it was an illusion of sorts. Melanie and N knew that something was up, and weā€™re on guard. When they arrive at the throne room, Ghetsis reveals that he wanted them to get the dragons. Theyā€™re confused, but then he reveals Kyurem, but itā€™s a different Kyurem than the one in the games. Itā€™s a more powerful one that had brainwashing abilities, and he reveals that Kyurem is the one who was responsible for all that happened. He needed the two dragons for them to fuse with Kyurem in order to restore the Ultimate Dragon so he could take over the region (I donā€™t think it was Unova) Melanie is angry that she ever trusted Ghetsis in the first place, and that she wants her PokĆ©mon sanctuary back so she could go back to her normal life again. Not wanting Ghetsis to get to the dragons, the two of them return the dragons to their pokeballs before he could grab them. They order the main characters to leave, not wanting them to get brainwashed too. Ghetsis laughs, calls upon many of the plasma members in order to grab the pokeballs from them. The main characters refuse to leave as they want to help. Melanie understands, and says she knows where their PokĆ©mon are being kept. She gives N her Mimikyu and she and the main characters run off to find the place theyā€™re being hidden. N battles against Ghetsis with Melanieā€™s Mimikyu and his Zoroark, as Melanie does to find the place where the stolen PokĆ©mon are. She finds the place, and notices that many more PokĆ©mon were stolen than she had thought. The main characters are able to recognize their PokĆ©mon and get them, and Melanie leaves the rest there for now until she can find their owners. N was stalling Ghetsis with the two PokĆ©mon, but he knew he couldnā€™t defeat Ghetsis on his own. Once Melanie comes back, the trainers all team up to stop him. After KO-ing all of his PokĆ©mon, Kyurem still remained. The only way they could defeat the dragon was with the other dragons, but they didnā€™t want to risk Ghetsis to fuse the dragons together. But they have no choice and release them. Canā€™t quite remember this part, but ultimately theyā€™re able to defeat Ghetsis. Melanie and N apologize to the main characters about all that had happened, and she promises that sheā€™ll try to make up to them for everything. Ghetsis goes to jail and all that. After defeating Kyurem, the castle disappears and itā€™s revealed that it was an illusion created by Kyurem. Melanie and the grunts who were now free from their brainwashing work together to restore the sanctuary, and the police understand that they had no control over what had happened and let them go. N leaves on his dragon to return the stolen PokĆ©mon, but promises to come back someday. End of BW plot. Melanie decides that she doesnā€™t want to be around people right now, so she, too leaves the region on a journey of self discovery. Two years later, and Ghetsis is back. They both hear of his return and Melanie comes back to her sanctuary, and finds out that many of the members of the sanctuary had joined Ghetsisā€™ side again. Angered, Melanie wants to find N so they can fix things again. But N was captured by Ghetsis and brainwashed again, fuses Zekrom with Kyurem. Melanie has to find the others so that she can free the PokĆ©mon, and she wonders where Ghetsis is.[8:37 AM]In the dream what had happened was the grunts and Ghetsis were secretly hiding deep underground in the basement of the sanctuary, but that doesnā€™t really make sense. Thatā€™s pretty much where the dream ended, and it was really cool. I want to make an AU based upon this and flesh it out more.Ā

Ā  Ā Ā ā€œN... I donā€™t even know where to begin honestly...ā€
Ā  Ā ā€œThere is so much there that Iā€™ve never figured out how to put into words. When we met there was something about the way he talked about pokemon and the way he battled that was intriguing. When we kept running into one another Iā€™d started to think of him as a friend, I enjoyed our battles and the way he and the pokemon on his side fought together so seamlessly and fluidly. I admired it honestly, I felt like I always learned something in our battles. But then Nimbasa happened...ā€
Ā  Ā ā€œIt was hard to accept that he was the king of Plasma. Given all he had said I figured he had at least been someone seriously considering Plasmaā€™s words, but learning that he was king caught me off guard. I didnā€™t want us to argue, I knew he was just doing what he felt was right and what he believed in, just like I was. I couldnā€™t call him my friend, but I couldnā€™t call him my enemy either, in a way he was both at once. I still canā€™t understand why he encouraged me so much to waken Zekrom and fight against him.ā€
Ā  Ā ā€œI miss him, there is no denying that. Heā€™s kind, I think he cares so much it weighs him down sometimes. I donā€™t know if people realize how strong he is in battle. He and the pokemon at his side are one, and itā€™s really something to see. I know heā€™s returned to Unova, and I hope people realize that he isnā€™t a foe of the region. Heā€™s suffered so much, and I really wish I could tell him that I donā€™t blame him, that I donā€™t hold anything that happened against him.ā€
Ā  Ā ā€œPart of me wants to seek him out, to speak to him again. I kept an eye out for him everywhere I traveled to when I left Unova myself, and now that weā€™re both in the same region I just donā€™t know what to do. In a way, we are linked together, just like Reshiram and Zekrom are linked together. He told me once our fates are intertwined before I knew the dragons were more than myths. I wonder if they still are.ā€

The Kingā€™s Return
@battleharmonyā€‹
Ā  Ā  Reshiram and Kyruem have been separated, the void dragon driven back into the frigid caverns it calls home. Ā Under the pressure of a second total defeat at the hands of the same teenager, Ghestis snapped, left little more than a gibbering vegetable. Ā Colress has surrendered himself to the authorities, already enthusiastically negotiating a plea deal that will no doubt end with him a free man. Ā The long and short of it? Ā Team Plasmaā€™s finished, for good this time. Ā It certainly hasnā€™t been a clean or pretty affair and I arrived fashionably late to pull everyoneā€™s collective rears out of the metaphorical fire, but as far as the authorities are concerned, this case is closed.
Ā  Ā  Ā As for myself, I still have a personal matter to settle.
Ā  Ā  ā€œN!!ā€ Ā I yell out for the moss haired man tending to his white dragon, the wind whipping their flowing locks atop this cliff-side outside the Giant Chasm. Ā
Ā  Ā  Thankfully, Reshiramā€™s back on her feet and her own dragon again, but sheā€™s obviously been worn out by everything sheā€™s been through today. Ā In contrast, Zekrom stands proudly by my side with his chest puffed up, unwilling to recognize the exhaustion heā€™s no doubt feeling after all the work heā€™s put in today. Ā The sceneā€™s the same as it was that day almost two years ago. Ā The winner and loser were decided. Ā The king here gracefully acknowledged as much himself.
Ā  Ā  And yet here I am, still hung up on a fight I supposedly won. Ā Some hero I turned out to be.
Tumblr media
Ā  Ā  Ā I close the distance between us in a timely fashion, our twin dragons looming over our comparatively diminutive forms. Ā ā€œI was worried you were gonna take off again. Ā Considering our history, can you really blame me?ā€
Ā  Ā  The ancient kings our dragons served caused the singular entity they once were to divide into three. Ā Their conflict only brought about the suffering of people and Pokemon alike. Ā Perhaps the legend of Unovaā€™s founding wasnā€™t meant to propagate a conflict between champions of truth and ideals. Ā Maybe we were supposed to take a different lesson from it.
Ā  Ā  Even when Iā€™ve wanted nothing more to punch him in his smug face, thereā€™s one thing Iā€™ve never disagreed with N on. Ā No matter how much of his life was manufactured as a part of Ghestisā€™ scheme, I know N loves Pokemon just as much as I do. Ā I only wish it didnā€™t take me knocking some sense into him for him to realize people like us arenā€™t in the minority.
Ā  Ā  Zekrom gives me a low growl like a distant roll of thunder, prompting me to say what I need to. Ā ā€œ...The truth that youā€™ve been looking for, did you find it?ā€

Heroes After All Bonus Chapter 2: Fire Emblem Heroes After All
Surprise! You thought I was DONE with Fire Emblem crossovers after Rude Awakening?! Well think again! This fic is going in a whole new direction with more FE characters than Smash Bros, starting... Now!
Bonus Chapter 2: Fire Emblem Heroes After All
Polly was resting on a bench outside the monastarey. It was a peaceful day - the sun was shining, Butterfree were flying about, there was a soft breeze blowin-
A noise. A specific noise Polly didn't recognise. She saw Metagross trudging toward her.
~Polly! Soldiers. They're approaching a village to the south.~
"What? We should evacuate the citizens right awa-"
~There's something else.~
"What?"
~They came out of a portal.~
------------
A young girl in elaborate royal attire looked out over the landscape, curious.
She was pretty sure she had set her sights on the World Of Blazing. Her troops were ready to conquer and make contracts. But something seemed... off.
It wasn't until she noticed a very strange brown and gray bird perch nearby that she realized how off.
She tapped a soldier on the shoulder. "Do you know what bird that is?"
The soldier looked over. "Er, no, your highness."
"Doesn't look like anything native to the World Of Blazing."
The bird gave a chirp and a "star, staravia."
"...We seem to be far from our intended destination," said the soldier.
"...Keep going," said the girl. "Perhaps we can find something useful here."
She ordered the troops onward.
----------
Aaron was idly scratching doodles in the dirt with a stick when he noticed the older Aura Guardians scrambling around in a panic. For a second he considered heading inside, where he'd be safe.
But then he thought a bit. If he couldn't really help with the dead and missing Aura Guardians back then, he could stand to benefit from helping now...
He quietly placed his stick down and started following the senior Aura Guardians.
----------
The purple creature noticed a rush in activity in its new home. Curious, they quietly hovered over the hurried bipeds and their companions, evading notice.
Then they saw a strange, pink creature hovering nearby.
~Heh... They're really in a hurry! Looks like fun.~
The purple creature eyed the pink one quizzically. The pink one looked at them and smiled.
~Wanna watch them with me?~
The purple creature gave a chitter of affirmation.
~Alright! Let's go.~
The pair headed off after the bipeds.
-----------
Polly, Vince, and Carol all hid behind some trees, watching the strange enemy soldiers walk by.
"This is so weird," said Vince. "These soldiers are like nothing in the Genesis Mountains."
"Well they did come out of a portal," said Carol.
"We need to find out what their deal is," said Polly. She turned a bit. ~Dunsparce?~
Dunsparce slithered out of some nearby bushes and toward the soldiers, burrowing underground when she got close. After a bit Polly could pick up on Dunsparce's thoughts.
~Woah,~ said Dunsparce. ~They're some... Embian Empire, they came from another realm, and, uh, they don't know what Pokemon are? Weirdos.~
Polly relayed the information to her companions.
"This is... concerning," said Vince.
"We need to report this to Ryan," said Carol.
Dunsparce slithered back to the group and they snuck back off to camp.
------------------
Aaron trudged through the forest after the senior Aura Guardians, trying to find where they'd gone. He had no clue what was going on, but he'd be darned if he couldn't-
He bumped into a leg coming out of some bushes and fell over.
"Ow..."
A boy noticeably older than him with blue hair looked down at where he lay. "Are you all right?"
"Ugh, yeah..."
"Oh, he's so cute!" said a blonde girl peeking over. "Is he one of the Heroes of this world?"
"Calm yourself, Sharena," said another, redheaded girl. "He's probably just a civilian."
"N-no I'm not!" said Aaron, sitting up. "I'm an Aura Guardian!"
"Hmmm, Aura Guardian?" said the redhead. "That sounds impressive... and marketable."
"Anna knowing you you'll just bring it up as a side thing and forget about it completely later."
"Don't question my strategies! Well at least not more than Kiran's. But Kiran has the flu so you all will have to listen to me!"
"Point is, can we keep him?" said the blonde girl, holding up a squirming Aaron.
"Sharena we can't just adopt every Hero we find," said the blue-haired boy. Sharena pouted and put Aaron down. "A girl can dream Alphonse."
"Wait, so who are you guys?" said Aaron.
"We're the Order Of Heroes!" said Alphonse. "Dedicated to protecting the multiverse from the Emblian Empire and similar threats!"
He looked around. "Though, uh, this seems a bit far from home multiverse-wise...."
Aaron's eyes were sparkling. "That sounds so cool! I totally wanna join!"
"Well, normally, Kiran has to summon you," said Anna. "But we could let you meet the team we brought along if you'd like!
"Sure thing!" said Aaron.
He followed the three away.
---------------
Mithos and the purple creature were hovering over the advancing Emblian army, ogling them curiously.
~Man these guys look like bad news,~ said Mithos.
The purple creature gave a chirp of agreement.
~Wanna mess with them?~
Another chirp.
~Good. Now...~
There were telepathic whispers, and the two separated to wait.
----------------
Polly, Vince, and Carol were talking to Ryan and Nightjar in the camp the group had set up.
"So yeah. They're extradimensional, they're here to conquer, but they have no idea what this world really is," said Vince.
"If that is the case, we may be able to convince them to look elsewhere with minimal casualties," said Nightjar.
"Are you sure diplomacy is the best idea in a situation like this?" said Polly. "When we're potentially outgunned, certainly," said Ryan. "And at the very least we have our Pokemon if worst comes to worst."
"Very well," said Carol. "Let's get ready."
They started preparing.
-------------
Aaron was lead to a camp populated by four people - a girl in a blue dress clutching a gemstone, a man with two large wings sprouting from his back, a green-haired man in blue with a book, and a green-haired woman tending to a Mudsdale.
"Hello there," said the girl in the dress. "I'm Ninian."
"I'm Tibarn," said the winged man.
"I'm Merric!" said the green-haired man.
"I'm Lyndis, but you may call me Lyn," said the green-haired girl.
"Nice to meet you all!" said Aaron. "I'm Aaron."
"I still think we should have brought Ballista Wolt on this mission," said Anna.
"No," said Alphonse, fear in his voice. "He's too powerful."
"But we use Grima and Duma on missions all the ti-"
"TOO POWERFUL."
Meanwhile, Aaron was inspecting Ninian and Tibarn in particular.
"So, what are the wings and stone for?"
"Oh, for this!" said Ninian.
Ninian raised the stone and suddenly transformed into a Hydreigon. Tibarn similarly transformed into a Braviary. Aaron's jaw hit the floor.
"That's so cool! I wish I could do that!"
"Their forms do look... different here," said Merric. "As does my magic." He cast an Air Slash.
"My horse looks different too..." said Lyn.
"Huh... You're not from here?"
"None of us are," said Tibarn, shifting to his normal self. "We're from other realms."
"So that's why you can do all this cool stuff?"
Lyn chuckled. "Pretty much."
"Attention!" said Anna. "Emblian troops are heading this way! We need to engage!"
The people in the camp immediately began to move. Sharena picked up a protesting Aaron and carried him following the others.
-----------------
The Emblian army's journey was almost at an end. They had almost reached the village.
"Halt."
The girl's head turned. There was Ryan, flanked by Polly, Vince, Carol, Nightjar, and several other senior Aura Guardians, as well as their Pokemon.
"We wish to negotiate."
"With what?" said the girl.
"This world is not the one you wish to intrude upon. It has nothing for you. Turn back and avoid wasting your time."
"Bah, you think I, Princess Veronica, am so easily swayed? The strange creatures of your world have so much potential... If we can fully harness it then-"
"Princess Veronica! We aren't going to let you do that!"
Saying this was Alphonse, who was leading his party up to the front lines. Veronica simply scowled.
"You all are interfering again? Very well. Troops, charge them both!"
Veronica prepared her dark magic spell, but since the author of this segment forgot what her personal tome is, let's say she left it at home and cast Fenrir instead.
The Aura Guardians managed to evade the blast of magic, and they and their Pokemon fired back with their powers. Shades of blue, pink, black, and lighter pink flew across the battlefield, knocking down a few soldiers and causing Veronica to scowl further.
From above, Ninian (in her new Hydreigon form) fired off a stormy Draco Meteor, the thunderbolts and lightning causing many enemy soldiers to be very frightened, scampering off the battlefield screaming ā€œGalileo, galileo figaro, magnifico!ā€ (hey they were from the Italian localization of FEH, don't blame me)
Tibarn swooped in and used Brave Bird, a move which disrupted the enemy formations enough for Merric and Lyndis to come in with an Aeroblast and a couple of Murgleis shots. Soldiers soared through the air like dragons and their dragon mounts crashed to the ground like humans.
Aaron had been sticking behind Sharena the whole time. Then he noticed Veronica nearby and got an idea.
He hid behind a small tree near her and started charging a Focus Blast right next to it. There was a crack and a flying of splinters as Aaron fell and so did the tree, straight toward Veronica. Veronica wasn't crushed due to the tree being small, skinny, and dead but it knocked her asunder, sending the troops into a panic.
It was then a booming laugh echoed across the battlefield and a Zekrom descended.
~Foolish mortals! I am the dragon god Morkrez, patron deity of this world! All who interfere shall suffer two punishments - one the sticky threads of fate!"
The purple creature flew around, leaving a poisonous glue that bound the panicked troops in place.
~And two... THE RAIN OF DEATH!~
ā€œSurprise motherfuckers!ā€ announced Ballista Wolt, who began firing Arrowspate bolts from the heavens. He then launched some Hoistflamme shots and some BlizzardBlasts, scorching and freezing the battlefield. Zaps of electricity from the brave-effect magic-based Zap Cannon ballista rained down from the sky. And to top off the siege of doom with the icing on the cake of increasingly potent siege weapons, Wolt loaded a trebuchet full of hatchets and fired, thus finishing with the very same weapon that slew the Demon King Fomortiis: the AxeLauncher.
Everyone stared in equal measures shock, awe, and horror, except Anna and Lyn, the former of whom grinned.
"I knew bringing him was a good idea!"
"My hero!" said Lyn, sighing wistfully.
Veronica got up, glowering at the others
"Imbecles! I'll be back for this world! And I'll have backup!"
She opened a portal and stormed through it, the remaining troops following. The Zekrom disappeared and a pink wisp was vaguely visible exiting the area.
"We... We did it," said Vince.
"Woo!" said Aaron. "...Ow, splinters."
"Your world is threatened no longer," said Ninian.
"Whee!" said Sharena, picking up Aaron and spinning him around. "You did great! One of our healers can probably fix up those splinters-"
"And after that you are giving him back because he's ours," said Polly. "Kid how did you get here?"
"I followed them!"
Meanwhile Ryan was conversing with Alphonse.
"The Genesis Mountain Aura Guardians are grateful for your support," said Ryan.
"And the Order Of Heroes is grateful for yours," said Alphonse.
"I'm not certain our respective groups will cross paths again but I have a feeling our worlds might."
"Well, the multiverse is pretty big, and we've got a lot closer to home to defend," said Alphonse, grinning, "but I certainly wouldn't mind coming here again. These Pokemon are fascinating!"
"Indeed they are," said Ryan. "I guess only time will tell."
-----------
Riolu, making his way through the human town he'd encountered, felt like he'd missed something.
He decided it was probably nothing.
***
April fools. :P
You can blame both Fire Emblem being my second-favorite Nintendo franchise after Pokemon, Fire Emblem Heroes being the one mobile game to ever hold my attention for long, and my friend Vanillite the Dragonslayer/Purple Mage - this whole shebang was his idea and he even wrote some of the fight scenes. The all-powerful monstrosity known as Ballista Wolt also originates from a FE8 romhack he did.
Anyway yeah this is canon but has no effect on the rest of the story so don't worry I'm not pulling any permanent crossover plots.

(Ferriswheelshipping) Awakened Emotions Chapter 1
Hello guys! I'm starting a new White x N story. At first I couldn't decide to keep her name Touko from the Japanese version or not but I decided on White. Anyways I hope you guys enjoy the story and please review or PM! I love feedback and constructive criticism is also appreciated so I can become better.
At the beginning of their final battle at his castle, N couldn't have been more sure of his ideals. Pokemon and people are better off separated. After all, he thought that he wouldn't have gotten this far and gained the favor of the legendary Pokemon Reshiram if his ideals weren't what the world should be shaped into.
But, White had also gained the favor of the legendary Zekrom, and her ideals were completely different than his. But he wanted to show her and the world how it should be. He wanted his Pokemon friends to be free of the abuse many trainers inflicted upon their Pokemon and he wanted them to have the ability to roam free like they were supposed to before trainers captured them and treated them like slaves for battle and power. He had heard one too many Pokemon cry in pain while in battle as their trainers forced them to do their bidding. N was included in this, and it broke his heart each time his beloved Pokemon were injured in battle in the war for Pokemon liberation. But he hoped his Pokemon friends would be able to hold out a little longer so they could assure the future happiness of all other Pokemon so they could finally be free. If his team brought him victory, he knew he would release them so they could finally be free too. He hated using his team but it was the only way he could in order to free Pokemon once and for all.
Sure, a few times N had doubted his ideals a bit. But only when it came to White. When she battled with her Pokemon against him, her Pokemon were so happy to be fighting for her. He heard their thoughts of enjoyment and excitement for the battle, and he heard their determination they had in order to please their trainer they loved so much. He had thought to himself a few times that he wouldn't mind too much if all trainers were like White.
But it wasn't a perfect world. Most of the trainers abused their Pokemon and pushed them above their limits in order to satisfy themselves and assert power. They didn't care about their Pokemon and used them as tools. Some of the Pokemon owned by trainers yearned for escape and release, but would always be sucked back into their prison of a Pokeball. N had heard their thoughts of despair as they were forced to go back into their ball and their yearning cries to be free echoed in his mind as reminded him of his mission again. He felt sorry for White, she was a truly magnificent trainer who treated her Pokemon well. But he thought that even White with her Pokemon whom she had a deep relationship with would probably be better off in nature where they belonged.
The battle between White and N rages on in the castle, and they were evenly matched at first. He had smirked at her, knowing his determination and ideals couldn't be beaten. After all, he thought his ideal was truly in the right place. She wanted Pokemon to be continued to be imprisoned by trainers and she wanted Pokemon to continue to battle and fight. Although she was a strong and determined girl, he believed his love for Pokemon would allow him to triumph in victory.
However, their battle began to go downhill for N. With his first few moves, he thought he had the advantage, but he was dead wrong. He had simply gotten lucky, and she was now decimating his Pokemon friends he loved so much. They fainted, one by one, falling over with a whimper of apology to N as they blacked out.
I'm sorry, Lord N. I am not strong enoughā€¦Ā Zoroark collapses onto the ground, heaving and fighting to stay awake after he had just received a big attack from White's Pokemon.
N rushed to his fainting Zoroark and held him in his arms.
"Don't be sorry, you did all you could..." N whispers to his fallen friend as Zoroark faints in his arms.
A single tear escapes his eye as he returns the fainted Zoroark to his Pokeball.
N shakes his head to himself, his black and white cap covering his eyes.
Zoroark, you are plenty strong enough. It is only me to blame for all this. If I was stronger,
Pokemon would all be free and happyā€¦ But I haven't lost yetā€¦ There's still a chance!
He lifts his cap up above his eyes so he can see again and sees White staring at him across the battlefield with a strange expression. She seemed distraught and upset, which N found quite strange.
She should be happyā€¦ She is destroying my team and her ideal is proving to be stronger than mineā€¦
Watching N from across the battlefield, White's emotions were a jumbled mess. Although she wanted to win this battle and prove Pokemon and people should be able to be together, she felt horrible for N. She had watched the heartbreaking scene unfold where N held his beaten up Zoroark close with tears glistening in his cloudy blue eyes, and she felt her heart break for this boy too. She thought he was such a kind motivated individual who truly loved Pokemon and White would have loved to be friends with N if their situation had not been so complicated. If they hadn't been pitted against each other in a deciding battle, she thinks she would have been able to be great friends with him. She honestly didn't really want this battle to happen, but she knew it was inevitable or else Team Plasma would steal more Pokemon regardless of what she did.
N does not know why she seems so sad, but averts his attention to his final Pokeball. He holds it in his hand, running his thumb across it. He remembers his Pokemon friends who had fallen before him, and determination burned throughout him again. He wasn't going to let White win. Pokemon deserved better than that. If he lost, he would fail every Pokemon in the region. He would fail his father he worked so hard to pleaseā€¦ He would fail everything.
"You're my last friendā€¦ Do your best, Reshiram!" He tosses his final Pokeball into the field.
He had saved the legendary dragon Pokemon for last. He knew deep inside that they would come to victory together and Pokemon would finally be free. Reshiram appears from its Pokeball, its huge body causing the entire castle to shake as it landed on the ground. White had stumbled a lot nearly falling over from the huge earthquake Reshiram had caused just from being sent in.
Ughā€¦ I can't get intimidated! I need to send in Zekrom! He's the only one who can fight the legendary dragon.
White adjusts her cap, not allowing herself to be daunted by the massive fire breathing dragon standing only a few yards away from her. N was grinning, thinking that seeing her flustered and clumsy for once was a bit endearing. She was usually so confident and he hardly ever saw her make any mistakes. He furiously shook his head back and forth to himself. He shouldn't have any positive feelings towards her, she wanted to crush his dreams and imprison Pokemon in balls. He looks up to Reshiram, who is patiently awaiting his orders. White had just thrown in her Zekrom and the weight of the second dragon shakes the castle again, and he hears columns from the castle crumble behind him.
He pours all of his determination into his next command. "Reshiram, use Fusion Flare!" His voice rings strong and clear throughout the massive castle. He wondered to himself, if that was really his voice. It sounded so commanding, much like a king. A bit like his father, which N didn't like the resemblance he heard.
N bit the inside of his lip, willing the attack to hit as he watched Reshiram open its mouth to release the attack. Across the field, White's Zekrom braced itself for the attack. Reshiram released the giant fireball from it's mouth, and the fireball flew across the castle, heading straight for Zekrom.
White has to think fast, the fireball was soaring across the room. "Zekrom, dodge and use Bolt Strike!"
Zekrom roars in acknowledgment and tries to fly out of the way, but the huge fireball manages to graze the left side of his wing, burning it. Zekrom roars again in pain. The remainder of the fireball zings past White, nearly touching her. She cries out in surprise, and N is scared for a moment that she had gotten hurt, but was glad to see after a moment to see she was just fine. Zekrom fires the Bolt strike, the huge ball of energy and electricity zipping towards Reshiram.
"Reshiram, dodge!" Reshiram attempts to fly out of the path, but it wasn't fast enough. The Bolt Strike hits Reshiram and zaps its entire body as N cries out in pain of seeing his Pokemon friend hurt. The dragon roars and attempts to move, but the static left behind from the bolt has paralyzed it, and it can only shriek fiercely, unable to move.
N gasps, knowing this wasn't good. If Reshiram was paralyzed, it wouldn't be able to dodge any attacks. "Reshiram, fusion bolt!" He had hoped the Pokemon would be able to overpower the sparks, but Reshiram lets out a long cry of frustration as it is still paralyzed. It tugged at N's heartstrings to see the poor Pokemon unable to move.
White smirks, knowing the battle was now in her hands. "It's over, N! Zekrom, Use Bolt Strike!"
Zekrom lets out another Bolt Strike, and the poor Reshiram can do nothing but allow itself to be hit as it roared and roared in frustration as it tried to move. The bolt hits Reshiram square on, and the dragon faints upon impact.
N falls to his knees, a cry escaping from his lips.
Reshiramā€¦ Noā€¦ It can't beā€¦ It's all overā€¦
He returns the fallen Reshiram to his Pokeball as White also returns her Zekrom. N is still on his knees, staring down at the floor in defeat. He hears the loud rumbles from his castle as it begins to fall apart from the battles between the dragon.
It's falling apartā€¦ Everything is falling apartā€¦Ā A loose column from his castle falls over in the corner of the room, as if cementing his thoughts.
White began to rush to N just as the huge wooden castle doors open, causing her to halt in the middle of her tracks. Ghetsis appears from behind the door, his face twisted in absolute malice. He quickly makes his way to N, who is still on his knees.
"YOU USELESS PIECE OF SHIT!" Ghetsis punches N in the face, and N still continues to stare at the floor, like the punch hadn't even happened. White gasps and doesn't know how to remedy the situation. Ghetsis growled, not liking his punch going unnoticed, even though N's jaw was quickly growing red from it. "YOU ARE NOTHING BUT A FAILURE. I SHOULD HAVE JUST LEFT YOU ON THE STREETS LIKE THE GARBAGE YOU ARE!" Ghetsis averts his furious gaze over to White, who is shaking in terror from the horrible man. "YOU LET THIS LITTLE BITCH BEAT YOU? I'LL BEAT HER AND PUT THIS WHORE IN HER PLACE!" Ghetsis looks back to N for any sort of response, but N is still on his knees like nothing had happened..
Finally, N whispers in a broken voice, "Father, please don't hurt her-" He was broken off mid sentence by the violent Ghetsis. "YOU THINK AFTER THIS SHIT YOU DESERVE TO CALL ME FATHER? ACTUALLY, YOU NEVER DESERVED IT. I NEVER ONCE THOUGHT OF YOU AS MY SON!" Ghetsis shakes his head furiously back and forth. "I raised you to perfection, you were to be the placeholder king that people would follow as I took over the world. But you couldn't even manage to beat this woman!"
N's already shattered heart breaks into even smaller pieces at this. He knew his father was not always happy with him, but he thought that after all he had done that Ghetsis would at least consider N his son.
Ghetsis ignores his broken son and angrily stomps towards White, his Pokeballs in hand. "Now, Battle me! I'll show you who the real leader of Team Plasma is! N was nothing but a pawn in my game to lure the legendary dragonā€¦ But he was still useless even in the end! I should have just left him where I found him." Ghetsis laughs insanely to himself as he throws his first Pokemon to the battlefield, not even giving White a moments notice. White throws in her Pokemon, having no other choice then to finish everything once and for all.
"Whiteā€¦ Noā€¦" N whispers in a hoarse voice. He knew how strong his father was, and White's Pokemon were still damaged from their previous battle. But he could only watch as the intense fight unfolded between Ghetsis and White.
In the end, White was able to just barely defeat Ghestis. They couldn't stay in the castle much longer, it was falling apart from the inside out from all the crazy battles. Ghetsis had roared in defeat and called in his grunts.
"Grunts, get me out of this dump!" Ghetsis cries in anger. Many Plasma guards rush in. "But sir, shouldn't we bring our lord N with us as well?"
Ghetsis slaps the grunt in the face. "He is not fit to be the king of Team Plasma. I have no more use for him. Let's leave the garbage where it belongs and get the hell out of this place!" He barks out several more orders and in a few moments all of Team Plasma had evacuated the crumbling castle, leaving no one except for White and N. White wanted to chase after the grunts, but she figured the rest of the gym leaders and everyone else who had met up there would be able to take care of them. She was more worried about helping N first. He still hadn't moved...
N was still on his knees, in the same pose he had been in since White defeated him. The look on his face was heartbreaking. It was of a man whom had lost everything. Another rock falls from the castle nearby as White shakes N on the shoulder. "Nā€¦ We need to get out of here, it isn't safe. The castle is falling apart."
Why does she care about my well being? Doesn't she hate me? I wanted to separate her from her precious Pokemon...My ideals were everything she hated. I lost the battle of truth and ideals, so I must be wrong. She is the true hero, and she has proven how the world is supposed to be. I should crumble and fall apart along with my castle.
He doesn't respond to her, lost in his own thoughts. She shakes his shoulder again from behind, more urgent this time as another column from the castle falls down. "N, we need to go now! I'm not leaving you here! It's dangerous!"
N speaks up in his broken voice. "Why does my well being matter to you? Don't you hate me? You should continue on your journey and get out of here while you still canā€¦ I have been proven wrong. You have shown me in battle that your ideals of Pokemon as companions is the right one."
She walks around to the front of him, and leans over so she can look him in the face and his is still on his knees. He looks up at her in confusion, wondering what she is doing.
White feels so bad for N. To her, he seemed like a wilted rose. He was beautiful, his love for Pokemon motivating his actions. He had his heart in the right place, he truly did care about Pokemon. He just wasn't raised in the right way, he had been tricked and lied to by Ghetsis. Everything was Ghetsis's fault. She wanted to be the one to tend to the wilted rose. She wanted the wilted rose to bloom for the first time so that it could thrive like it was supposed to. N deserved happiness.
She truly did believe his heart was in the right place. She could see why he wanted what he did. There were abused Pokemon everywhere, and there isn't always something you can do about it. You're not always there to be able to stop it, but there was always going to be a small percentage of imperfection in the world no matter what. What she honestly wanted was compromise. Full separation wasn't the answer, but she and N could work together to help abused Pokemon, if he was willing to compromise as well.
She learns forward more, getting on her knees as well and embracing N. He gasps, blushing. "N, I don't hate you. Your heart was in the right placeā€¦ You truly believed liberation would make Pokemon the most happy. You don't deserve any hate. I don't agree with complete separation, but I also hate it when trainers abuse their Pokemon and I want to fix it. I respect how much you care for Pokemon..."
N had felt like someone finally understood him. Tears escape from his eyes as he leans his head over her shoulder as they embrace. White feels his tears on her shoulder and she smiles a little, happy he is letting it all out.
I wish I could hug her foreverā€¦ I've never hugged anyone before, It feels so goodā€¦Ā N leans more into the hug, his tears clouding his vision. His mind was a complete jumble, but he felt mostly happy.
White begins to lightly stroke his head as he continues to cry.
She is so kindā€¦ She always looks after her Pokemon so well, and she seems to care that I'm okay, even though Father always said I was a freak without a human heart... I wish I could spend all my time with White.
N's sobs begin to cease, and he gently pulls away from the embrace. He abruptly stands up, pulling his black and white cap down so it covers his eyes. "Make sure you get out of here safelyā€¦ Thank youā€¦ Thank you for everything. White." White stares up at him as he turns around, heading towards the hole in the castle wall which lead to the outside. They were on the top floor, and White was worried as to how he would get out.
I don't deserve to spend time with someone so kind as Whiteā€¦ I need to changeā€¦ I lost the battle of truth and ideals. I started to realize at some point that many Pokemon are happy with their trainersā€¦ I was just too stubborn to realize it. Full Pokemon separation isn't the answerā€¦ I am selfish. I assumed the feelings of all Pokemon. And that is why I lost, and White won. I don't deserve to spend time with herā€¦ First, I need to change.
With a determined look on his face, N tossed out his Pokeball and released the revived Reshiram. N climbs onto the dragon and soars away from the crumbling castle, leaving everything behind him. Reshiram was now long gone, and the only proof it was ever there was the crumbling castle and the very distant roar she heard from it in the distance.
I need to get out of here and find Nā€¦ He doesn't deserve any of this. He needs a chance at happiness. I don't want him to disappearā€¦
White releases her Zekrom from his Pokeball and jumps up and climbs onto his back, and they fly up and away from the falling castle.
"Zekrom, this way!" White furiously points in the direction Reshiram had flown in a few minutes prior. Zekrom lets out a cry of acknowledgement as he flaps his wings faster as they soar through the skies.
Nā€¦Ā White's thoughts are consumed of nothing but his broken and empty expression when she had defeated him at the castle. She wanted to find N and show him that the world wasn't how he thought it was. Pokemon enjoyed being with their trainers. Pokemon and people lived alongside happily together. He didn't have to go off alone. He didn't have to suffer.
N, I'm coming for you!
Thanks guys for reading! Please review and tell me what you think! Stay tuned for next chapter! :D

Five questions you want to answer but haven't been asked yet! ;D
99.)Ā Pokemon Cards, Games, or Show?
Despite my unyielding, unending, unstoppable love for Alan, the games will always come first for me. (Of course, heā€™s had a shout-out in the games as well, so ā€¦ ;D) The games are the entire reason why I was interested in watching the anime in the first place. The games are the reason why I was interested in the cards. As much as I love the anime and have a lot of opinions about it, the games always have and always will come first for me. The games are where it all started. Without the games, we wouldnā€™t have any of what we currently have. Without the games, the anime wouldnā€™t exist. Without the games, the hundreds of manga series (because there are a lot, which is why I get so aggravated when people talk aboutĀ ā€œtheā€ manga when referencing PokĆ©Spe) wouldnā€™t exist. The games started it all, the games are the source of everything. The games will always come first.
After the games, though, I do pick the anime. And then the cards, I guess, but I havenā€™t cared about the TCG in a very long time, outside of still being salty af that my biological mother threw out my card album (that had, among other things, my holographic first edition charizard card, and sentimental value aside, those still sell for upwards of $300 on eBay; I wouldnā€™t sell it, but damn, she threw away something so valuable out of pure spite and stupidity, I just). So for me it goes games, anime, and ā€¦ everything else, haha.
98.) Pokemon main series games, pokemon ranger games, or pokemon mystery dungeon games?
The main series games come first, obviously, for all the reasons started above and more. I love the main series games. While of course I have some criticisms about some of them, and while of course there are some things that could be done better, I still adore the main series games and very likely always will. I love most everything about them and I canā€™t foresee that changing.
But that said, I also really, really, really love the Ranger games! Or at least, I really loved the one I played, which was Guardian Signs. The gameplay was a lot of fun, I love the concept of the Rangers and the Ranger Union, and how they differ from ordinary trainers but still do so much good in their own unique way. I love how theyĀ ā€œcaptureā€ pokĆ©mon by not actually capturing them, per se, but rather by using their capture stylers to convey their feelings to the pokĆ©mon, calming them or soothing them and then asking for help from them. I also love the instances where this is done when rescuing pokĆ©mon from the poachers / villains. They send pokĆ©mon out to attack you, as any trainer would, but instead of battling and knocking their pokĆ©mon out, you use the capture styler to soothe and convince that pokĆ©mon to stop attacking. You, in essence, help that pokĆ©mon see that they donā€™t have to battle for this awful person! To be honest, having a device that can allow you to communicate with a trainerā€™s pokĆ©mon like that could be used for nefarious purposes, if put into the wrong hands, but capture styling is not as easy as it looks and I imagine that Rangers have to undergo tests and rigorous training to be certified. Regardless, I loved all these aspects, as well as the overall atmosphere, the story (even the silly bits!), and the characters ā€¦ and I adored the Sign aspect of it, how you could draw, well, guardian signs with your styler in order to summon legendary pokĆ©mon. Did you know, PokĆ©mon Ranger: Guardian Signs had Soaring long before ORAS! And you didnā€™t have to Soar on one of the Latis (though of course you could, and why wouldnā€™t you?), but rather, you could Soar on any flying-type pokĆ©mon you had bonded with during aĀ ā€œcaptureā€ session. It was great. And you could rampage across the countryside on Raikou, or Entei, or Suicune, just by summoning them with your styler. You didnā€™t own them, of course, they werenā€™t captured in a little monster ball, but you could summon them if you needed them for aid just by drawing their sign in the sky. (Or, er, if you wanted to get across Oblivia faster, but ā€¦ >_>;; ) It was great, and thatā€™s the kind of legendary pokĆ©mon partnership Iā€™m okay with, rather than the utter nonsense of capturing one to use for battle.
Anyway, I really want to replay this game, and I might do that soon, but I really loved it! I wish we could get a new Ranger game sometime this century, but alas ā€¦ T___T
(Meanwhile, I donā€™t see the appeal of the Mystery Dungeon games. At all. I never have. I tried to play the first one, I really did, but I was so bored I completely forgot I owned it after a little while. Iā€™m glad people enjoy them, more power to them, but theyā€™re not for me, and I wish we could chill out on getting new Mystery Dungeons to instead get at least one new Ranger game instead, but alas.)
97.)Ā Gym Leader, Elite Four, or Champion?
Iā€™m not entirely sure what this one is asking, if itā€™s asking which one Iā€™d personally want to be, or which position I value more highly, or what. But either way, I guess my answer is Champion ā€¦ but in the way I see it, rather than the way I think most people interpret it.
In all my years in this fandom / way of life, Iā€™ve seen most people interpretĀ ā€œChampionā€ as simplyĀ ā€œstrongest trainer, gets lots of accolades, gets to sit on a throne and be cool all dayā€. And I canā€™t blame people for having that interpretation, becauseā€”in an effort to make this series accessible to kids,Ā which is not something I am faultingā€”PokĆ©mon has not delved very deeply into politics. Again, just to make it extra clear, thatā€™s understandable; kids arenā€™t here to play a game that dives deep into policy and procedure, even though Gen V really toed that line and confirmed a lot of the beliefs and headcanons I already had, even without explicitly saying so. But either way, I refuse to buy into the idea that the Champion is just there to be strong and take challenges. A Champion is more than that. A Champion needs to be more than that. Setting aside that this world has to at least try to have some form of functioning government in some way, if someone is going to hold the position of Championā€”if they are going to be the ones that people and pokĆ©mon look to in times of crisisā€”then they need to earn that. In my view, a Champion is someone who not only handles all the policy and procedure that comes across their desk as it comes across their desk (fulfilling the executive branch, as well as tapping into legislative and judicial when the time calls for it), but theyā€™re also a protector. Theyā€™re the very tip of the spear that is used to protect their region and all of those within it. In How to Train Your Dragon 2, Hiccup says,Ā ā€œThe alpha protects them all,ā€ and thatā€™s the Champion, in my eyes. If the Champion is the strongest trainer in the regionā€”and thatā€™s something that all PokĆ©mon media seems to agree onā€”then it is the Championā€™s dutyā€”their obligation andĀ responsibilityā€”to use that strength that they have to protect all of those within their region who may not be able to protect themselves. Regardless of anything, regardless of the danger or crisis, regardless of whether the people and pokĆ©mon in that region love them or hate them, they have to protect them, itā€™s their job.Ā ā€œItā€™s not about what they deserve. Itā€™s about what you believe,ā€ Diana says in Wonder Woman, and that, too. Thatā€™s absolutely true of the Champion. The Champion, as the strongest there is, is the one who must put themselves between their region and any oncoming danger. They need to be the ones looking out for the people and pokĆ©mon. They need to be the ones fighting for them, both in terms of literal fights (battles) and metaphorical ones (legislation, politics, et cetera). Thatā€™s their duty, first and foremost, before anything else. They have to be ready, and willing, and able to do it.
So to try and sum this ramble up, in my eyes, being the Champion is completely empty, meaningless, and worthy of scorn of all it amounts to is praise for being The Very Bestā„¢ and adoration from fans. Thatā€™s not what it should be about. If the only point to being Champion is to sit on a throne and look pretty, then Iā€™ll pass, thanks. Being the Champion should be about being the peopleā€™s and pokĆ©monā€™s champion. It should mean protecting those who canā€™t protect themselves. It should mean fighting for those who canā€™t fight for themselves. It should mean standing up, sayingĀ ā€œnoā€ when someone threatens innocent lives, and doing whatā€™s right even when everyone else just runs away. (Thanks for letting me paraphrase you, Rose Tyler.) It should mean taking that skill and that strength you have and putting it toward whatā€™s right, even and especially when itā€™s difficult, even and especially when you might not get thanks or recognition afterward.
Being Champion is not about accolades. Itā€™s work. Itā€™s incredibly difficult work, available only to a select few, but thatā€™s what makes it so important and meaningful. Thatā€™s why I hold that position in such esteem, and also why Iā€™m so selective about which characters I think could potentially do it, and do it well. Itā€™s not just winning badges and tournaments. Itā€™s so much more than that. So, so much more.
84.) Drought, Drizzle, Sand Stream, or Snow Warning?
And now for a shorter, less intense answerā€”Drought! Specifically, the Drought ability on myĀ ā€˜Zard Y, which I then use to immediately Solar Beam any foolish water-types that thought they could take my dragon down. ā™„
76.) Reshiram, Zekrom, or Kyurem?
Reshiram! In pretty much every single way, haha. Superior typing (dragon/fire), superior design, and I also prefer what Reshiram stands for (truth) over the others. Reshiram is right alongside Victini in terms of favorite Gen V legendaries. ā™„
