If there’s one thing that Jason knows, it’s when he isn’t wanted. He could write the book on what to do when no one is happy to see you. ‘101 Ways to Fuck With Everyone: An Asshole’s Guide to Life’. He’d make a killing. Or he would, if assholes ever bothered with self-help bullshit. Someone sneers in his face and tells him to get lost? Jason’s got a play for that. It usually involves a great deal of taunting and maybe a well-placed sucker-punch. Some fuckhead takes a shot at him? Jason shoots back. It’s not rocket science. He’s got a pretty solid grasp on how things are supposed to play out. Most of the time. However, he’s not really sure what to do with…this. “I didn’t think it was possible to be worse at this than Tim, but you really take the cake, you know that? Seriously setting the bar here, Jay.” Kon’s hand is warm. And heavy. Kon’s bare fingertips dig into Jason’s collarbone, and the brat just smiles at him and cocks an eyebrow. “What can I say?” Jason huffs. “He’ll catch up someday.” “I resent that,” Tim says from somewhere behind Kon. Jason isn’t sure where, exactly, because Kon’s eyes are very blue. “Pretty sure I’ve already caught you. Jason knows he means 'caught up to you'. Tim doesn't know how right he is. And he never will.
