A Luke&Lily Christmas oneshot
Hey ya’ll, I’m sorry it’s been so long that I’ve written for our favorite girls. I haven’t had much inspiration and when I do get an idea and start to write, I just think it’s horrible. Anyway, this is some holiday fun.
word count: 3.2k
warnings: mentions of difficulty in conceiving, family fluff and some uncle love

Christmas at the Hemmings’ household is always full of joy, music, and a little chaos. With Lily being in first grade she was in the Christmas concert at school where the children sang songs. She practiced around the house with Luke who would sing along with her and help her with the motions that the music teacher instructed.
With the holiday cheer also came some holiday downs. You and Luke had been trying for another baby ever since Posy turned two in May but you’ve had no luck so far. You and Luke both had tests done and everything came back normal, the doctor said stress can prevent a pregnancy and you have had a stressful time at work lately. You’ve had to take on filing for more cases which resulted in less time at home.
Luke tried to ease your stress away with his touches and kisses but it was your mind that was all wound up. You had a million thoughts racing through your mind on what needed to be filed, when court dates were, when deadlines were coming up and now to add on Christmas?
Thankfully, Luke was more than happy to help you decorate the house. He even bought three sets of gingerbread kits.
“We can have the guys come over and make them with the girls,” he smiled proudly.
Lily and Posy loved decorating the tree and placing their handmade ornaments on the branches. Posy was still too small yet so Lily was lifted in Luke’s arms to place the angel on top of the tree. When the decorating was done, you all made hot cocoa and snuggled up on the couch to watch the old claymations of Christmas shows on the tv. Lily loved the Jack Frost story and Posy loved watching Rudolph.
It’s the night of Lily’s concert and you have just fastened on her black shoe with the bright silver buckle. She has on a pretty red velvet dress and a green headband to tame her curls from her face. You gaze at her for a long moment, tears pooling in your eyes at how big your baby girl is already.
“Why are you crying mama?” Lily asks, touching your cheek.
“You’re just so big, sweetheart, mama forgets sometimes,” you smile through your tears. “I’m okay, don’t worry.” You give her a kiss on the cheek then take her hand walking out of her room to Luke and Posy who are in the living room.
He’s dressed Posy in a cute green dress with red tights. She looks like the cutest little elf.
“There’s the star of the night!” Luke exclaims upon seeing Lily. she smiles bashfully at her stepfather then runs to his arms. “You look like our angel on the tree, my sweet.”
“Dadaa!” she giggles squeezing his shoulders the best she can.
“What do you think, Pose? Should sissy be on the tree, hm?”
“Yeth!” Posy claps her hands together with a big smile on her face.
“No one is going on top of the tree,” you scold with a smile. “We need to get going, babe so we aren’t late.”
“Can you go get yours and Posy’s coats?” Luke asks Lily who nods and skips away to the mudroom. Her black shoes clicking on the floor.
“You look pretty enough to put on the tree,” Luke hints, rising from his knees to stand in front of you. He skims his finger over the swooping neckline of your white sweater that shows off your shoulders. He traces the snowflake pendant perched perfectly between your collarbones.
“I don’t think so, mister,” you poke his nose playfully and he pulls you against him. He has on your favorite green silk shirt of his, you can never take your eyes off him when he wears it.
“Can I put you on me instead?” he asks, pressing his lips to the shell of your ear. “Later tonight in bed?”
You sigh at his touch, the vibration of his voice makes goosebumps rise on your skin.
“Maybe...if you’re nice,” you preen tilting your head so he can attach his lips to your skin.
“I’m always nice. You’re the naughty one, lovie,” he chuckles.
“We’re ready!” Lily announces proudly.
You and Luke break apart then laugh at the mismatched gloves and lopsided hats on your girls. You praise them for their efforts but put the proper articles on each girl before heading into the car. When you arrive at the school, you walk Lily to her classroom where Mr. Glass (her teacher) is settling the kids down.
“Okay, we’ll be in the third row with your uncles,” you tell Lily. “Make sure to smile and have fun, okay?”
“Okay, mama,” she nods. You stare into her eyes, your eyes, knowing she’s nervous but trying not to let it show.
“You’re going to do such a good job, my sweet. Sing loud like we do at home, yeah?” Luke hugs her and kisses the top of her head.
You stroke her cheek lovingly one more time, say a quick hello to Mr. Glass and walk towards the auditorium where Ashton, Calum, and Michael are already sitting in their seats.
“Is she nervous?” Calum asks watching you shuffle past him to your seat.
“She’s not nervous,” Ashton shakes his head then takes Posy from Luke’s arms. “Hi little one, you look like the cutest ornament.”
“Is she nervous?” Michael asks peering around Ashton.
“She is, but she’ll be fine,” you smile. Luke grabs your hand and kisses it.
“Will she see us from here? We should be in the front,” Calum shakes his head eyeing a family of five in the first row. His eyes follow their movements as if he’s plotting a plan to switch.
“It’s assigned by grade, Cal,” Luke laughs. “She’ll be able to see us and she’s going to do great. Don’t worry.”
The lights dim and the audience claps as there’s movement behind the red curtain. The ages are from kindergarten to fifth grade. The curtains open as the kids file up on the stands, you spot Lily right away walking behind her friend Roman. She and Roman have been best friends since kindergarten and they have many play dates. His parents, Trina and Sophie, are wonderful people who you’ve also become closer to.
You and Luke spot them across the aisle, each of you waving happily.
When everyone is in their place onstage, the music teacher comes in front of them and introduces herself and explains how hard everyone has worked on this performance. She turns around and the music starts and Luke sets up his camera on the small tripod that fits perfectly on his knee. A promise he made to Cory and Ella to record the performance because they were out of town on a trip they couldn’t refund.
The songs they sing are the usual ones you’d expect at an elementary concert. The younger kids had bells for Jingle Bells, and the young ones did their hand motions to Away in a Manger. A favorite that had all of the kids excitement was Rudolph’s song. You kept your eyes on Lily the whole time who sang and smiled anytime she caught your eye or Luke’s or one of her uncles.
When the performance was over, they all took a bow and you screamed as loud as you could for Lily. She was beaming.
Lily found you in the crowd easily, hugging your legs then running into Calum’s arms who was already telling her how she was the best one up there. Trina and Sophie stopped by to say hello before they took Roman out for ice cream.
“Are we going for ice cream?” Michael asks and Lily laughs.
“Noo, uncle Mikey. We’re having hot cocoa bars!” Lily exclaims.
“We have a hot chocolate spread at home,” you correct with a smile.
Back at the house, the guys help Lily and Posy make their hot chocolate. Michael lets them put whipped cream on his nose and Ashton has Posy in his lap helping her drink her own cup. He blows on each spoonful before placing it in front of her.
“Sophie told me she and Trina were looking at donors again,” you tell Luke quietly near the stove. You put in the sugar cookies with Christmas trees on them for everyone to eat while drinking hot cocoa.
“Really? That’s great for them, Roman’s going to make a great big brother,” Luke smiles then notices your demeanor.
He knows it’s been tolling on you not being able to conceive. It’s been hard for him, too but he’s eased up a little after finding out there wasn’t anything physically wrong with either of you that prevented it. He’s happy that you’re on an eight day vacation over Christmas and New Year’s. It will be a time to relax and be with family.
“Hey,” he cups his hand on your shoulder, turning you to face him. “It’ll happen for us. We’ve been going a little crazy over it, but we can breathe and let it happen when it’s meant to.”
“I know, you’re right. I just can’t believe stress is making it this hard,” you huff tossing the oven mitts on the counter.
“I’ve got some ideas to help get you out of your head,” he grins leaning in to kiss you. He tastes like sugar cookies and chocolate.
Suffice it to say, he definitely found a way to make your head spin later when the girls were put to sleep.
**
“Okay, we’re going to be on teams and post on social media who wins the best gingerbread house,” Luke explains.
Calum and Lily are on one team, each of them wearing a Santa hat while Ashton and Posy are a team wearing reindeer antlers. Michael couldn’t make it tonight, he and Crystal were on a last minute trip before Christmas arrived. You and Luke were on a team together.
“Is this timed?” Ashton asks, already calculating his house with Posy.
“No,” Luke laughs, “the girls are only six and two, we can take our time.”
“You’re going down, Ash,” Calum says, filling up his bag of frosting. Lily is kneeling on her knees on the chair watching him.
The gingerbread house making is filled with lots of laughs and stealing of treats from Posy.
“No, Po, we have to have a chimney on our house!” Ashton giggles snatching the chimney pieces form her small fingers.
“Eat, Ashy!” she laughs reaching for it again.
“We can do it after we’re finished, little one, I promise,” he rubs her belly.
Calum and Lily planned together quietly on their end of the table. You love watching the girls interact with their uncles. The guys are so patient with them and love spending time with them. You’re really looking forward to your eight days off of being with your family and friends for the holidays.
When you were all finished you took plenty of photos of the houses and the creators of them. Luke posted the houses to his instagram story with polls on who was the best. Christmas movies were part of the agenda as well.
**
A week before Christmas, Posy had a high fever that lasted for three days. You desperately wanted to stay home with her but it was crunchtime at work so you made sure to cuddle her as soon as you were home. Her small body was so hot to the touch but you held her in hopes she would sweat it out.
“We should take her to the doctor,” Luke tells you quietly as you feed her more liquid tylenol for children.
“If it’s not down by tomorrow, we will,” you nod touching her forehead. It’s clammy but not as hot. “I’m hoping it’s going down.”
Luke sighs in exasperation watching you rock Posy in your arms. You’re humming to her and tracing the features of her face, a tactic that always soothes her.
“I used to get sick around this time, too,” you tell him when her eyes close.
“I hate seeing her so miserable.”
“Me too. We’ll watch her fever...her glands don’t feel that swollen. She hasn’t thrown up, right?”
“Only that time I tried to give her medicine,” he blinks slowly and you see the circles under his eyes.
“Get some sleep, honey,” you tell him. “I’ve got her.”
The next day, her fever did break and you and Luke were so happy. Lily made sure to bring home a picture she drew at school in hopes it would make Posy feel better. Posy got over her fever just in time for your Christmas Eve party.
Friends and family were gathered in your house with lots of food and music to bring in the holiday cheer. Cory and Ella watched Lily’s concert beforehand with Lily sitting on Cory’s lap. As more guests arrived, Cory was acting a little strange. He kept glancing at you and Luke while he held Posy in his arms.
“Are you okay?” you ask him finally taking Posy from him. She was starting to get fussy and hungry.
“Yeah, um… do you mind if I say something to everyone?”
“No, go ahead…” you say giving him a look.
He pulls Ella to the center of the living room, Luke sidles up next to you checking on Posy then nods to Cory.
“What’s going on?”
“I don’t know but we’re about to find out.”
“Everyone? Sorry, this will be quick,” Cory begins. He takes a deep breath then turns to Ella. “On our trip, I asked Ella to marry me.”
There’s gasps and cheers from everyone, yourself included as you look to Ella’s hand. Cory has just slipped on her ring, was he hiding it until this moment?
“And right after I asked her…”
“I told him I was pregnant!” Ella smiles pulling an ultrasound photo from behind her back.
There’s more cheers and congratulations. You’re the first one to give them a hug and to welcome her officially to the family. Others are swarming the happy couple with questions about how he asked and when she’s due. You handed Posy off to Ashton then disappeared out by the pool to get some fresh air, Luke wasn’t far behind.
“Hey, hey, c’mere,” he says, pulling you against his chest. You breathe him in deeply, letting his scent calm you down. “It’s okay…”
“I’m happy for them, I really am,” you sniff. “I love Ella, she’s wonderful and they’re going to be great parents but I--”
“I know, it’s hard,” Luke sighs, kissing your head. “We won’t give up, okay? I know it’ll happen, I can feel it.”
**
On Christmas morning you’re woken to Lily and Posy jumping on your bed screaming about Santa and presents. You and Luke give them hugs and kisses as you wake up trying to get the sleep from your eyes.
“How about some cocoa while we open presents?” you ask.
You make the cocoa with the help of the girls while Luke brews a pot of coffee for you and him. It’s six in the morning and it’s going to be a long day of driving and opening presents at other houses. Luke snaps photos while Lily and Posy open their presents. Lily claims to love each one and that it’s exactly what she wanted.
Luke loves the gifts you gave him and you couldn’t wait to wear the dress he bought you for the day. After breakfast, you all went over to Cory and Ella’s to open presents and you discussed her pregnancy a bit more. After the initial shock, you were excited to see her through this journey. She asked tons of questions about morning sickness and headaches.
“Are you planning on finding out what you’re going to have?” you ask.
“I don’t think so. We want to be surprised. You’re sure you’re okay with this, Y/N?” Ella asks, her eyes full of worry.
“I’m more than happy,” you assure her, “you’re a part of the family. And, I might be biased, but Lily will be the best big sister to your baby.”
“Posy will too,” Ella smiles, “I don’t want her to feel left out, in my mind, they’re both big sisters.”
“You’re right.”
After Cory and Ella’s you went to Michael and Crystal’s house for more presents and a big fancy dinner of ham and all the fixings. You started to feel a little dizzy towards the end of the meal and went to sit down on the couch. Luke came by rubbing your temples in concern but you told him it was probably just the rush of the day.
Later that night while Lily and Posy placed their new stuffed animals in their beds to sleep with, you were piling their presents in order when another wave of dizziness struck you. You sat down and held your head until it was time to say goodnight to the girls.
“You sure you’re all right?” Luke asks as you crawl into bed.
“I’m fine. Just a busy day,” you sigh collapsing onto your pillow. “Speaking of...are you doing anything right now?”
“Going to bed?” he laughs.
You swing your leg over his waist so you’re straddling him.
“How about doing me?”
Luke is eager to get you out of your pajamas and under him. Lips and hands explore familiar territory as he rocks his hips into yours. You have to fight to keep your moans quiet as he makes your head dizzy in a completely different way.
The rest of your vacation was full of lots of relaxation and spending well deserved time with Luke and the girls. You played games with Lily and even took the girls ice skating. By New Year’s Eve, you were feeling a little drained and the thought of alcohol made your stomach turn. There was a babysitter watching Lily and Posy while you went to a rooftop bar for the countdown of the new year.
You had a blast but in the back of your mind, something was nagging at you to get a pregnancy test. You shared a kiss with Luke at midnight, giggling when his hands squeezed your ass. On the way home, you asked to stop at the drugstore making an excuse you needed more aspirin.
Once home, you charged for the bathroom and took the three pregnancy tests in the box while Luke talked with the babysitter and paid her. You wait anxiously for the three minutes to be up. When your phone’s alarm sounded, you looked at each one. Each one had the word ‘pregnant’ on the stick and you stared stunned.
“Lovie? Are you sick?” Luke asks, knocking on the door.
Too excited to wait, you whip the door open and exclaim “I’m pregnant!”
“You’re--what?” he asks, jumping at the loud burst of the door opening.
“Look!” You drag him in the bathroom pointing to the tests. “I’ve been dizzy lately and feeling queasy...this is why!”
He stares at each test individually, his lips forming the word ‘pregnant’ three times. He lets out a whoop and kisses you.
“I love you so much. See, I told you it would happen when it’s meant to. What a way to ring in the New Year.”
“Happy New Year, baby,” you smile up at him cupping his cheek.
“Happy New year,” he smiles then places his hand on your belly, “baby.”

A Very Monster Christmas (Monster Roommmate AU)NSFW
WHOS READY FOR A CHRISTMAS SPECIAL! So while I slack off on the main plot, here’s what happens over christmas for the residents of the Neibolt house. Family members visit and the clown learns how to ice skate. Its a fun festive time for all! Except for the people who died.... (This is a 3part special!)
A VERY MONSTER CHRISTMAS Pt1
Leech and Drac and Leatherface all fell through the door in the early morning of the old well house in a heap carrying bags upon bags of decorations and lights.
“Ok men! Battle stations! Bubba you get the bird to the freezer then help Drac with decor and I shall tackle the tree!”
“Let the festivities begin!” the vampire shouted happily digging out the most gaudy looking decor he could find.
The three broke and began flying around downstairs doing various Christmas themed actions. Pennywise was slowly making his way up the stars from the well cracking his joints and stretching after a long night of terrifying the children of the town.
“Well, well, look who's up early! Good morning to you my little hunter!” he purred making a beeline to his favorite young vampire. He wrapped his arms around his mate and let out a happy growl.
“What cha’ doing?”
“Celebrating the up coming holiday” Leech was struggling to pick up the tree she had picked out for the living room.
“Theres a holiday?” Penny picked up a few of the ornaments she had laid out biting one to see if it was edible.
“Christmas?”
“oh that one were everyone is obsessed with pine trees and worship a bearded man?”
“Yes that one”
“I’m rarely awake for it.”
“Pen? Is this going to be your first traditional christmas” Leech’s eyes lit up.
“You're going to make a big deal out of this aren't you?”
“abso-fucking-lutely” she plopped a santa hat on his head.
“Lucky meee.”
“Plug these lights in will you? Tell me if any aren't working!” she excitedly handed him a tangled mess of small lights.
“Woah we doing Christmas?” Chucky strolled in with a coffee
“Apparently.” the clown grumbled already getting tangled in lights.
“Chucky! Be a dear and put some ornaments up with Pen.”
“Who said I was helping” the clown snarled trying to get the lights off of him.
“I did, you're the only one who can reach the top of the tree Pen. I need your height I'm small and insignificant!”
“flattery will not convince me dear”
“I’ll bake you gingerbread cookies and do that tongue thing you like later” Penny’s eyes flicked to Leech and then the tree.
“Doll, Hand me that red decoration.”
“I’m not helping you get laid anymore.”
Penny snatched the box up himself and began hanging decor while Leech battled with the lights. The pair had made progress though the poor vampire was growing more and more frustrated with the plugs.
“Leech. Hey Leech! Leechie look!” he nudged her excitedly
“Penny I'm busy…”
“Just loooooook!!”
“Fine, what is it?”
She turned to look at Pennywise who was holding a large candy cane ornament over his crotch “What does this remind you of?! eheheheehehehehehheee!”
“PENNY!”
“Aww you don't like it? I dont blame you mines bigger.”
“PENNY PLEASE”
“You should see your face little one!”
“I AM TRYING TO KEEP THIS WHOLESOME”
Five or six more inappropriate jokes later they were almost finished. Leech handed Pennywise the star “Alright this is the last one you put up i want you to do it”
“Why? Is it important?
“You know… I actually have no idea? I think its because decorating is stressful or something.”
Pennywise unceremoniously plopped the star on the top of the tree.
“Ok done I want my reward. Cookies first.”
“Wait one last thing” she handed him a plant with a string attached to it. “Hang this in the doorway.”
“A plant?”
“Don't question it just do it.”
“I don’t understand the significance of this decoration.”
“ok don't move.” the vampire walked over to him under the doorway and beckoned for him to lean down. “Are you going to tell me about the plant now?”
“I figure I’d just show you what to do.”
The clown cocked an eyebrow as Leech traced her thumbs on his cheeks. He seemed to get the idea of what she was about to do and closed his eyes as her cold soft lips pressed into his. Pennywise let out a happy churr. “I like this plant” he growled into her mouth and deepened the kiss his large hand coming up to cradle the back of her head as the other cupped her backside.
“WOOOOH MISTLETOEEEE!” Freddy cheered
“Aww I think its sweet! Look at those two!” Tiff elbowed him hard.
Leech pulled away and turned to Freddy. “Don't worry Kruger you can have a turn with Pen after I'm done with him”
“I'm not kissing the clown.”
Penny made a disgusted face and shook his jingly ruffles Leech laughed and kissed him again. “I’m going to go make your cookies……. Be gentle with him Fred”
A half hour passed Pennywise impatiently popped his head into the kitchen.
“Done yet?”
Leech was sitting with her head in one hand joint shakily held in the other. She was staring at her phone in complete terror. The clown cocked his head and poked her. “Leech” he poked her again. “Leeeeeech!” she turned to stare at him.
“My mom decided to surprise me this year.” her voice was empty.
“And?”
“S-She’s in Bangor…”
Penny’s eyes grew wide.
“Is she coming…..here?”
“Yes. She insisted… I couldn't say no. She….She wants to meet you….”
“Flat meeting. Right now.”
————-
“So mom does not know I am undead nor does she know I live with murderers in a house thats barely still standing.”
“Does she know you're getting stuffed by an inter-dimensional clown every night?” Freddy laughed and leaned back against the couch.
“Freddy I swear to god if you mention anything about that I will peel your dick like a banana and feed the scraps to the cat.” Leech dug her claws into the old table.
“Damn Jingles your girl is kinky as fuck.”
“please don’t go there” Pennywise rubbed his temples
“So what are we going to do about it then?” Tiffany asked
“Pen’s going to help make an illusion that were all normal.”
“You sure you can manage that jingles?” Chucky asked.
“I’m the eater of worlds I can handle it. It’s just one human.”
“We’re so going to have to kill Leech’s mom” Chucky laughed.
“NO ONE IS KILLING MY MOM”
—
The preparations had been made everyone was in their human forms or somewhat. Penny was struggling with the illusion of such a massive scale. Leech could see him in deep concentration she was worried he wasn't going to be able to hold it for long.
“Hey you good?”
“F-FINE I'm good I'm fine” as he said that a section of the upper floor crumbled and fell.
“We’re going to have to kill my mom aren't we…”
Two kids resembling Chucky and Tiffany came charging into the room with rage.
“CLOWN! WHY AM I A CHILD” Chucky screamed.
“Look I'm doing bare minimum here doll.”
“GIVE ME BACK MY BOOBS RIGHT NOW!” Tiff was pissed and brandishing a switchblade.
The two angry children both had knives ready to stab Robert Grey in the face when the door rang.
“SHOW TIME PEOPLE! MURDER WEAPONS AWAY!”
Leech opened the door while fixing Robert’s coat.
“LUCY!”
“MOM!”
The two women embraced. Leech's mom was just like an older version of her but with wide hips a small waist and shoulder length wavy blonde hair. She wore a typical burgundy mom sweater and blouse with the most cliche of mom jeans.
“Oh sweetie I missed you so much!” Leech saw the door behind her crumble a bit and Robert’s eye twitch.
“Missed you too mom! Great to see you! Why don't we get you to your hotel and we can all catch up there!”
“Oh but I want to meet your friends!”
“Well there they are you saw them time to go!”
“Dear, proper introductions please.”
“Ok we got Fred, and Vlad their kids Chucky and Tiffany-“
“WAIT WHAT” Freddy and Dracula both said in unison.
“Go with it-“ Leech growled “Um thats Bubba, my landlord Robert and our cat Churchill is around here somewhere.”
“Lucy, which one is the one you're sleeping with?” her mom whispered.
“Mom!”
“Is he the tall one? He's handsome! Such big hands!” she looked Robert up and down.
“MOM”
“See where you get it from now Leech! Your mom’s a horn dog just like you!” Freddy laughed.
“FREDDY!” Leech roared while her mom awkwardly shook Leatherface’s hand
“She is not a horn-dog!” Robert hissed as the piano started to form cobwebs.
“GUYS!”
“She’s pretty bad Jingles” Chucky elbowed Robert in the leg.
“I……You know what actually yeah, she kinda is. Sorry love, you're a freak.”
“GUYS MOM IS RIGHT HERE!”
“Why do they keep calling you Leech?” Ms. Smith looked over at them.
“UM UH its a long story.” Leech felt a tooth start to grow in her mouth.
“MRS. SMITH NICE TO MEET YOU FINALLY.” paint peeled off the wall behind Robert as he interrupted.
“Its Ms. actually. You must be Robert Gray! My daughter’s handsome new man! She tells me so much about you!”
“Ha ha oh mom” Leech laughed nervously
Robert turned to Leech and as the floors faded. “What did you tell her about me?” he whispered. “We will talk about this later…” Leech hissed.
“Well are you going to show me around?”
A window re-broke somewhere upstairs.
“Lets um lets get dinner! first! I’ll call a cab!”
The old door burst back open “NEPHEW!”
“OH FUCK” Leech screamed in sheer terror. Uncle Penny strolled into the house in full clown gear. Several windows upstairs broke and the walls of the house creaked back to its decayed state.
“Nephew? Is your uncle a circus performer Robert?”
“Weeeeeellll helllooo hot stuff” Uncle Penny slid over to Leech’s mom
“Oh um hello?” Leech twitched as Uncle Pen got uncomfortably close to her mom who was shocked and confused by the sudden invasion of a clown.
“U-Uncle Penny? C-can I have a word?”
“Sure Leechie I’ll humor ya.”
Freddy began to lose some of his skin and a scar started to form on Chucky’s face. Robert was struggling with holding so many illusions at once.
“Ok look were trying to convince my mom I live a normal happy healthy life so she’ll leave. If you're going to stay you gotta play along.”
“So why do I have to be apart of this?”
“You want a human outsider to know all about our little sanctuary then?”
“You’re the one bringing her here and breaking all the rules”
“She just showed up”
“Yeah and you didn't dispose of her vampire. I swear the only reason I put up with your stupid mistakes is because you're dating my nephew.”
“She’s my mom.”
“Wow my junior sure knows how to pick em’. I’ll give you a pass and play along only because I owe ya for helping me clear out my lair. Also I want a date with Ms. Smith. I'm going to be awake for another 2 years now that its winter and junior cant have all the fun.”
“SHE IS MY MOM”
“And you got her good looks doll-face. I'm starting to see why the twerp is so into ya.”
“UNCLE PEN REALLY?”
“I mean technically were the same being sooo the attraction does make sense.”
“I cant believe were having this discussion.”
Robert walked into the room with a forced smile on his face “Can we please go now? You've abandoned me long enough.”
“Your uncle has a crush on my mom.”
“Well I mean we are the same being….”
“OH MY GOD.”
———————
“Lucy dear you're not eating?”
“I'm fine” she wasn't fine she was starving. She could hear every heart in the room and could smell every blood type. What made matters worse the waitress was a virgin with the sweetest smelling blood and the reddest cheeks. She felt herself salivating beginning to fantasize about sinking her teeth deep into the girls neck. Leech kept thinking about feeling that initial break of the skin and the pop of her favorite vein. It was enough to get the vampire going into a complete frenzy. Robert Gray kicked her under the table when he noticed that her eyes were trained on the woman whenever she walked by. “Hungry dear?” he asked with an evil grin watching the waitress pour his water. “N-not at all.” Gosh those veins are big…. he chuckled. “I don't know you look rather peckish” Leech kicked him back hard.
“He is right dear you look very pale maybe you should eat something” her mother chimed in.
“You know maybe I just need to use the restroom excuse me…” she got up and practically ran to the nearest restroom frantically digging through her bag for her emergency flask. Leech began chugging it in an attempt to keep the hunger at bay. She peeked out and saw Robert casually talking with her mom. It was weird to see him being social. He gave her a golden eye flash and a grin, enjoying seeing her struggle with her true nature, the one he preferred. “Oh dear he is just lovely!” her mom said as she sat down “I’m so glad to see you've finally settled down after the whole Adam thing”
“Settled down?”
“Robert said something about moving in together and sharing the house?”
“Did he now?” she glanced over to the clown in disguise. “We talked about it ONCE but nothing is final. RIGHT DEAR?”
“Ha right guess I’m just excited.” he looked..nervous? She’d have to ask him about this later.
The waitress had come back and Leech’s eyes nearly rolled back into her skull from the smell. especially when she reached over the vampire to grab a menu, giving her the perfect view of her neck. Robert laughed at her as the waitress took orders. “Sir? How would you like your steak?” the creature in disguise smiled wolfishly “Blue. Practically mooing. Also no sides just meat” Leech’s mom gave him a strange look. “And you miss?”
“Um uh I’ll not have anything” except your pretty little heart on my plate.
“You sure dear you look so thin!” her mom placed a hand on her knee in concern.
“I’m sure mom”
“She’s right you know you are looking paler then usual darling maybe you should step out for some air.”
“Later.”
Leech scratched at her wig a bit. The clown was going to torture her about this she just knew it.
————-
When the food arrived Robert made a huge show of eating his steak letting the blood fall off each slice and making sure Leech was watching as he bit into it. She was losing her mind in her seat. Her mom rambled and Robert answered questions coming up with perfect lies. Leech saw a drop of blood on her lovers lips and felt like she was about to go full frenzy. When the waitress came by one more time to take their dessert orders that was when Leech stood up. “I need some fresh air.” she scurried out the back exit into an alleyway.
She poked her head back in looking for the virgin waitress. She needed to feed RIGHT NOW. “See me” she whispered the waitress looked up at her and walked over. Robert was watching the scene with absolute delight. “I dropped my contact can you come help me find it?” she asked hastily. It was a lame lure but Leech was desperate. The girl walked closer to the door. Almost there. “Help me I cant see” Leech’s eyes shined like two tiny moons in the night while a faint churr gurgled in the back of her throat. The door shut behind the waitress “Oh thank fuck” Leech purred and slammed the woman into the wall. She covered the girls mouth to muffle the scream and inhaled her neck flesh deeply. “God you smell so delicious human.” she licked the skin. “I'm going to savor every last drop of this.” Leech threw her own head back and extended her fangs. The poor sweet girl under her screamed and screamed but Leech pressed her hand into her mouth harder till the waitress was biting through it. She dove down and felt that sweet, sweet pop of the skin breaking till she hit what she was looking for. The vampire let the liquid life pour down her throat as she began to moan and growl in sublime satisfaction.
Leech felt a tap on the shoulder as she finished finding Robert standing behind her watching. “My, my, my love! What big teeth you have” he chuckled Leech turned and screeched at him. “Relax its me.” he gently wiped some of the blood off her cheek with a finger tasting it himself. “You've been gone a for a bit mom got worried. See you couldn't restrain yourself.” he pulled her into him “Mind if I have a better taste dear?” Leech nodded, still in a bit of a frenzy and Robert pressed his lips against hers. She brought her hands up to his jaw and ran blood covered fingers against the side of his face. “Mmm you know how I love seeing you at work little hunter.” he groaned into her mouth “You may be sloppy but the passion you put into the kill is irresistible” his eyes flashed yellow in the night. Robert cleaned some of the red off Leech’s neck and face with hot licks and kisses. “Sorry I'm a mess” she panted “I like messes, I get to clean them up” he growled into her ear before he continued to suck the warm blood off her neck. “Shit Pen! If my mom wasn't waiting I’d be begging you to fuck me right now in this alley.”
“We can send her a cab and take the long way home…. then you can watch me at work” the clowns voice had broken through near the end causing Leech to whimper a bit. He chuckled and groped her breast with a huge hand. “You like the clown more than this human don't you dirty girl?”
“Mmmm bet you want to see him hunt and kill again just like when I first tasted you,” he chuckled pressing a hand to her stomach. “how brave of you to approach a hungry monster like that. I could have torn you apart”
“W-why didn't you?”
He kissed her again pushing her into the wall.
“You changed. I should have taken you right then and there.” he snarled. Grinding his hips against her with need.
“Oh fuck Penny~” Leech moaned and he shoved up her dress to rub her pussy.
“Gonna to have to stop this soon or Ol’ Pennywise is going to have you slammed against that wall, screaming my name for all to hear.”
“I’m half tempted to say do it anyway” Leech panted. She was soaking through her leggings from the friction Pennywise/Robert was giving her. The disguised clown chuckled darkly and nipped at the gauges in her ear while gently tearing a hole in her leggings. Leech moaned when she felt his bare fingers make contact with her slick folds. He found her sensitive nub and beginning to rub lazy circles into it. “Look at my dirty girl! Moaning for her clown right next to a warm corpse. Maybe he’ll come out to play with you later if you're good” he began playfully teasing her entrance “My little cold blooded killer.” he chuckled “Just like her mate” Robert shoved a long finger inside of her and began to pump, Leech gasped as he fucked her with his hand. “Fuck Penny that feels so good”
“Do you want more darling?”
“Yes” she panted
“Say it.”
“I want more Pennywise please!”
“That’s my girl. You're always so good for me.”
He pushed another finger into her and quickened his thrusts his animalistic growls breaking through the human disguise he wore. Leech moaned and spread her legs wider for him grinding her hips down onto his hand.
He stopped and Robert pulled her dress back over her thighs. Leech wined at the loss of him but he put a single finger to her lips and looked to the door.
The restaurant door opened and a familiar looking man poked his head out. “Woaaah junior look at you getting frisky in the back alley after a big meal! Good for you kiddo!”
“You’re in an unusually chipper mood.” Robert growled.
“Well your Uncle Bob here just got himself a nice date with a certain mama vampire.”
“She’s not a vampire” Leech poked her head up from behind Robert’s arm
“Look tell her well be back in a minute I need to hide this body and ….clean” he turned to Leech and smirked “Looks like were going to need to post pone our plans, wanna get dessert with me later?”
“Are you even hungry? I thought you ate all night last night.”
he flashed her a fang filled grin “I can be”
Leech rolled her eyes and kissed him while Uncle Bob shut the door shaking his head.
“Its a date~” she smiled.

That’s the Spirit (Serpent Princess #4)
Summary: It’s Christmas and, despite their hard exteriors, the Cooper women are the biggest fans of the holiday. Betty is determined to get Jughead into the spirit. (Ao3) Word Count: 3,025 Warnings: some smut (18+), pure fluff
Part One / Part Two / Part Three
Four: That’s the Spirit
Without a doubt, Thanksgiving is his favorite holiday as a teenager. There’s a giant turkey, so many different forms of potatoes, the other occasional vegetables that taste better this time of year, then dessert. Don’t even get him started on the dessert that he can pair with a Pop’s milkshake. All the pies, the cake, even the weird sweetened salads that Archie’s mom loves to make.
But just like that, the second that it hits midnight, it’s all about Christmas. Sure, maybe he’s a bit of a Grinch because he never had an amazing holiday like so many others have had like Archie and Veronica.
This Thanksgiving though, he falls asleep at Betty’s house after her mom cooked the most delicious turkey he has ever had. Even his dad passed out on the couch from their post-dinner meat haze. He rolls to the side, reaching for his girlfriend and feels cold sheets underneath his palm. Jughead groans then sees that it’s nearly nine in the morning when he looks over her pillow to the alarm clock.
He moves to pull on some sweatpants and groggily walks to the door while trying to get his hair into some semblance of order, leaving his beanie on the nightstand for the time being. It’s absurdly bright in the Cooper’s living room so he rubs his eyes until they get used to the sunlight. When he opens them, he stops in his place and looks around.
His girlfriend and her mom are Christmas freaks.
With all the dark colors they wear in the gang, he was surprised when he first saw their house - all light, bright and airy with a classic well worn homey feel. But even now, he wasn’t expecting the massive amount of Christmas decorations that are littering the place, including the giant tree sitting in the corner.
“When the hell did they go get a real Christmas tree?” Jughead keeps looking around in shock until his eyes land on his dad on the couch. The older man is lying there but instead of the navy blue blanket that he went to sleep with, it got exchanged for a bright red one that has cheerful snowmen and snowflakes on it.
If it all wasn’t so horrifying, he would be laughing his ass off right now.
Jughead plops down in a chair, throwing his leg over the side then turns on the TV. He’s not entirely sure where the Cooper women are at but he definitely doesn’t smell food so he figures he’ll relax until Betty comes home so he can conserve water and shower together, even if she already showered to put up the monstrosity of lights all along the walls.
At some point, he falls asleep again. Jughead wakes up to the smell of something baking and stretches out on the armchair. His dad is awake, watching whatever is up on TV while eating a bowl of cereal.
“Morning, son.”
“Morning,” he mumbles out before sniffing the air. “What are they making?”
“Alice is making something for dinner out of the leftovers. It was either a turkey sandwich or cereal but if we’re having more turkey later then I wanted something different.” He shrugs and spoons in another mouthful.
“I’m gonna go shower and maybe grab some cereal.” He stretches and moves towards Betty’s room, walking to his drawer to take out his change of clothes which is really just another color variation of what he wore yesterday.
“Hi, Juggie.”
He turns and smiles at his girlfriend, dressed up in a red sweater and tan ankle boots, a big change from her usual Serpent colors. She moves into the room and closes the door before collapsing onto her bed.
“Looks like you’ve had quite the busy morning, babe,” he teases before moving over and running his hands up her jean-clad thighs then rests his hands on either side of Betty’s hips.
She nods. “We love to decorate the day after Thanksgiving.”
“I can see that by the glitter infested ornaments and garland hanging around.”
This gets her attention and Betty leans up onto her elbows, looking into his eyes. “You don’t like Christmas?”
He sighs though Jughead knew this was going to come out sooner or later. “We've never had a spectacular Christmas, Betts. The food my mom made was always burnt but the eggnog was out in full force. What is there to really love anyway? Ugly Christmas sweaters, creepy Santa at the mall, crazy drivers….” He trails off before meeting her eyes again.
“Sugar cookies, the smell of a real Christmas tree, wood crackling in the fireplace, hot cocoa,” she trails off then leans up to brush her lips against his. “Mistletoe,” she whispers before pecking his lips and lying back down.
Jughead hums and leans down to kiss her again. “Mistletoe and cookies may be the only good things.”
“Oh come on! You haven't worn anything festive before?”
“Hell no and right now, I don't want to be wearing anything at all. Want to come shower with me?”
“Absolutely!” Betty jumps up and pulls him towards the shower.
Betty hates the fact that her boyfriend doesn't enjoy Christmas. She knows from her mother that FP had a harder time making Christmas special for Jughead after his mother took JB and left. And while they never had them over before, she knows that will change now that they're a Serpent family of sorts. The man that is basically a father figure to her always declined the past few years but now that she and Jughead are older he can't refuse especially since his son is dating Alice's daughter.
So she ends up at the mall in Greendale, trying to find something festive yet subtle for her boyfriend to wear to the wrapping/holiday party they're throwing at the Whyte Wyrm.
Betty is perusing through the men's section, noticing they don't have much along the lines of nice Christmas attire. All of it seems based on tacky Christmas sweater parties. She feels like she'll be resigned to getting a solid colored sweater for the holidays rather than his dark, neutral colors he seems to be attached to.
All of a sudden, something catches her eyes and she smiles widely as she approaches a stand. In front of her, there's a multitude of cute but masculine Christmas designs. Betty picks out her two favorites and quickly checks out before driving over to Jughead's place.
She knocks then walks in, moving towards her boyfriend's room. “Juggie?” Betty calls out then walks in. He's typing fervently at his laptop before looking up to meet her eyes.
“Hey, Betts.”
Tossing the bag onto the bed, she moves next to him and glances at the laptop. “What are you working on?”
“A piece for the Blue and Gold about the River Vixens that Cheryl threatened me with.”
She makes a face and lays back on his pillow. “Threatened?”
“Does hostilely asked sound better?”
“Not quite. Try again, Romeo.”
Jughead laughs and types a bit more before shutting the computer. “She said I need to write about the Vixens or she'll get Weatherbee to shut us down. Which he wouldn't but I caved because Veronica is on the squad.”
“Such a softie,” Betty murmurs before curling up into his side. He makes a non-committal noise then buries his nose in her hair. “I got you something for the party.”
“Christ, should I be nervous it's some Christmas monstrosity?” He pulls back and his blue eyes meet hers. “Don't demasculinize me in the Wyrm, baby.”
“I wouldn't dare.”
She moves out of his arms and grabs the bag, dangling it in front of his face. He snatches it and peeks inside.
“If you hate them, then I'll return it and I'll never force anything Christmas on your person again.”
Jughead sits up and opens the bag, dumping the contents on the bed while Betty is settled sitting on his thighs. He frowns when they're wrapped in what seems like butcher paper before giving his girlfriend a look. She laughs a bit and shrugs. Her eyes move to the wrapped presents and linger on his digits as he tears the paper apart. Soon a set of suspenders are revealed, one that has red and black plaid while the other is black with Santa hats on them.
“Christmas suspenders?” He says with a laugh.
She tugs her bottom lip between her teeth as he looks them over, reaching for the suspenders he has in his hand at the moment. “Do you like them?”
His fingers move over the patterns and he smirks. “Yeah, actually. I do. Thank you, baby.”
Later that night as they're wrapping presents, he actually gets quite a few compliments from the other Serpents on his suspenders. They don't seem to be the jolliest bunch but after he gets comments from Toni and Sweet Pea, Jughead decides he likes them even more.
He and Toni are talking while taping the bright wrapping paper when Alice breezes over from another group.
“How are things going over here?”
“Great, boss. Even if everything that Jug wraps looks like a train ran over it.” Toni says with a laugh.
The blonde laughs along then moves her eyes down to his suspenders hanging down by his hips. “That must be my daughter's doing.”
Jughead thumbs the plaid suspenders and nods. “Guess she wanted me to be in more of a festive mood.”
Alice hugs him briefly -much to Toni's surprise- but before she pulls away, she murmurs, “Be glad I talked her out of the Grinch ones that she sent me a photo of.”
He laughs with a slight shake of his head and turns back to his work before a set of arms wrap around his middle. Without needing to look, he knows who it is. “I heard you had some other interesting suspenders picked out for me.”
“Mhm. Lucky for you she said no. Would you have worn them?”
“Probably but only because they would have been from you.” He turns and leans back against the table, pulling Betty closer to his body. Jughead leans down to kiss her then looks around the Whyte Wyrm with all the presents wrapped up. “It's cool that you guys do this.”
“Mom likes to give back to the community.”
He kisses her temple then glances back over at Toni who is talking animatedly with Fangs while the other guy sets down some hot chocolate.
“How does she do it all?”
“One day, you'll see. Maybe you can ask her at Christmas.
“Maybe. Where have you been hiding while I'm struggling to wrap oddly shaped toys?”
“Wrapping your present. I just got it a few hours ago and wanted to get it set up to go under the tree.”
“Baby, you didn't have to get me anything.”
At that, she rolls her eyes and he can't help but chuckle at her expression. “The point of gifts at Christmas is to give. And it's something I wanted you to have.”
He hums at her before leaning down to whisper in her ear. “Roll your eyes at me again and I'll get you on the naughty list.”
Jughead hears her quick gasp before he pulls back to start wrapping presents again. Betty moves over to stand by Toni, the two talking almost instantly like they didn't just see each other. His fingers make quick work with the paper, taping it strategically so it won't fall apart then finishes it off by smacking a bow on it.
“Perfect,” he says before pushing it to the center of the table.
This attracts Betty's attention and her jaw drops in horror. He didn't think it looked so bad but the way his girlfriend is staring at it makes him question his decision before he shrugs.
“They're just going to tear it all off anyway, Betts.”
She rolls her eyes and his eyebrows shoot up towards his forehead. Betty reaches to rewrap it but his own hand moves forward to grab her wrist before he tilts his head towards her room upstairs. A blush works its way over her chest before she turns to go up the steps. He waits a few minutes, wrapping another present before he moves upstairs to his waiting girlfriend.
After closing the door, he turns to see her sitting on a desk with her legs crossed. Her eyes immediately darken as he moves in front of her, dropping to sit in the chair by the desk. Jughead looks her over, Serpent jacket left downstairs by the bar, golden waves falling over her shoulders.
He sits up and sheds his own jacket, tossing it next to her on the desk before leaning back.
“Have you been bad, Betty?”
All she does is nod, tugging her bottom lip between her teeth. He crooks his finger at her then looks down to his lap. Betty moves over to straddle his legs then brings her lips down to hover over his, silently asking permission as their eyes meet. Jughead moves forward just a bit before she surges closer to kiss him. Her lips are bruising his but he stands up to deposit her on the desk, angling his head to kiss her deeper.
Pulling back with a gasp, she whines at the loss of contact between them. “Touch me, Jug. Please.”
He grasps the bottom of her shirt, pulling the fabric up and over her head then tosses it onto his jacket then moves to her bra. His fingers make quick work of the clasp then gets rid of that item as well. Stepping back, he looks at his breathless girlfriend as he licks his lips. Jughead wants to kiss and lick every visible inch of he body but she whines again, causing him to move and touch her puckered nipple.
The day that Christmas gets there, Jughead finds himself at the Cooper residence again with his father. There are gifts under the tree for all them while Alice cooks up pancakes in the kitchen. Surprisingly enough, they're not lounging around in pajamas - to his dismay- but there's a fire going in the fireplace while snow flurries are falling to the ground outside.
Betty is curled up against his side, texting Veronica about what the raven-haired girl got Archie. She laughs a little before shaking her head and putting the phone away.
“Let me guess, something super extravagant that Archie wasn’t expecting?”
She hums and curls closer to him, her fingers stroking his suspenders. It’s something that he’s noticed her doing more lately rather than pulling at the fabric of his shirts. “Of course. Something about a watch but he got her a locket, which I’m sure you knew about.”
“Actually, I didn’t.” He shrugs and is about to ask her something when Alice’s voice calls out.
“Jughead! Betty! Will you two come help grab everything to take into the living room? We can eat then open presents.”
He jumps up at the mention of food and hauls his girlfriend up by her hand. “C’mon Betts. Food is waiting!”
“Don’t you ever get full?” She laughs as Betty follows him into the kitchen.
“If you think it’s bad now, imagine him as a kid!” FP calls out behind them.
Alice just laughs and pushes all the food towards them to haul into the living room. On the second trip, he has utensils in his hands while Betty is going into the kitchen to grab something to drink. She pauses and quietly murmurs his name. Jughead glances over to her but Betty is looking up.
“Mistletoe,” she says with a smile before leaning in closer.
His eyes move up once more then he leans down to brush his lips against hers. It’s meant to be a quick kiss but Betty’s hands latch onto his suspenders, the Santa hat ones that she got him, pulling him closer as her thumbs brush over the festive material. With his free hand, Jughead wraps it around one hip and pulls her closer, angling his head to deepen the kiss.
Betty falls more into him, her hands sliding up the material since he’s wearing them properly over his sweater at the moment. She pulls them down, letting the straps fall to his waist while her tongue moves against his.
“Alright you two, that’s enough! The food is getting cold and I know you’re hanging out underneath the mistletoe!”
His girlfriend pulls away as Alice’s voice reaches them, sighing a bit. Her fingers move over the material before she bites her bottom lip.
“Have I ever mentioned that I love your suspenders?”
Jughead moves his head in a ‘no’ like fashion then moves a finger under her chin, leaning down to kiss her one more time. “You can show me how much you like them later.”
She grins and moves into the kitchen, grabbing her drink before they settle back in the living room. They all take turns eating and opening presents. He’s thrilled about the typewriter that Betty gets him, along with more suspenders and t-shirts from Alice, and a new motorcycle helmet from his dad. As Alice and FP finish opening their gifts, he leans over and kisses Betty’s cheek while she tears up over her own present from him, ignoring the few things she got from her mother and FP.
“Do you like it, Betts?”
Her green eyes look down at the signed first edition of Beloved by Toni Morrison, fingers stroking the letters before looking over to him. “I love it, Jug. I don’t think I got you enough. I mean…”
He rests his finger against her lips. “Stop, Betts. That’s not the point of Christmas. I knew you would love it and besides, this typewriter! Best thing I have ever gotten besides meeting you.”
They smile at each other before Betty leans over to snap his suspender which he pulled back onto his shoulders before he got back to their parents. “Best Christmas ever?”
He nods then kisses her again. “Best one yet. I don’t think we’ll ever be able to top this.”
“Oh, Juggie. You don’t know us Coopers very well, do you?”
Happy Holidays! As always, requests are open. Written by J.

Characters: Jimin x Reader
Genre: Christmas!AU
Word count: 1.4k
Synopsis: Jimin loses against Jungkook and has to fulfill a dare Jungkook cooks up for him.
“I told you I would win!” Jungkook exclaims jumping up and down while high-fiving Hobi.
“I don’t know why you ever bother betting against Mr. Jeon I-must-win-at-everything-and-I-pretty-much-always-do Jungkook,” Hobi laughs. Jimin can do nothing but just stand there, fighting to keep a smile from slipping onto his plump lips at Jungkook’s exaggerated celebration. He truly didn’t want to smile. He was much too concerned with what his punishment would be for losing to the younger man. Rubbing his hands together deviously, Jungkook throws Jimin a devilish grin. “Enough with the dramatics, JK,” Jimin rolls his eyes, done with Jungkook’s antics. “Just tell me what I gotta do.” “You’re such a sore loser, hyung,” Jungkook sighs, his excitement deflating a little. “Fine. For losing to me, you have to knock on a random door of my choosing and sing a Christmas carol.” Jimin’s eyes widen. “What? No way,” he shakes his head. Jungkook knew he was shy. How was he supposed to knock on a stranger’s door and start singing? “Are you crazy? Pick something else,” he insists vehemently. “You said you’d agree to anything,” Hobi reminds him with an instigating grin. Closing his eyes and letting his head fall back in defeat, he grits out, “Fine.” Jungkook’s excitement returns. “Ok, so you have to wear this tiny little Santa hat.” Jungkook pulls out a headband from his backpack. It had an itty bitty red Santa hat attached to it, pompom tip and all. The holly accent on the base of the hat completed the hairpiece. Jimin’s eyes turn to angry slits as he glares at Jungkook. Unfazed, he continues. “And you’ll be singing Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas while laying on the aegyo reallll thick.” “Are you kidding me!” Jimin stomps. “I think that’s a bit much. I don’t even know the words to that song.” Pulling a folded paper from the same bag, Jungkook thrusts it at Jimin with a mirthful grin. “Here you go.” “Seriously?!” Jimin snatches the paper and opens it.
The lyrics to Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas are printed on the sheet. “You have 1 hour to memorize that and then we out.” Jimin stares at the maknae’s back in exasperation as Jungkook and Hobi walk out of the room, snickering.
***
They’d been driving for about fifteen minutes through a neighborhood where 99% of the homes had some sort of holiday decoration outside.
“How about that one?” Hobi points out.
“No,” Jungkook shakes his head. “Too plain.”
“How about this one?” Jimin nods to another home.
“The lights inside are off,” Jungkook points out. “Probably means no one is home. Nice try, Jimin.”
Jimin humphs in the back seat, arms crossed over his chest. They roll on, passing a few homes before Jungkook excitedly sits up in his seat.
“Stop!” he exclaims.
Hobi startles, but manages to get the car to stop.
Smacking Jungkook’s shoulder, Hobi chastises, “Ah, jinjja! You almost gave me a heart attack!”
“Sorry, hyung,” he replies sheepishly rubbing his sore shoulder. “That’s the house I want Jimin to go up to.”
It was a quaint white house with a hunter green door. Mechanical reindeer swayed their heads from side to side, a sleigh filled with presents that lit up were behind them on one side of the walk way. On the opposite side there were a Mr. and Mrs. Snowman blow up decoration alongside a nativity scene. The walkway had multicolored lights lighting a path to the front door. The windows also had lights tracing the square shape of the windows.
“Ok, then. Do your thing, ChimChim,” Hobi chortles while releasing the locks on the door.
“Don’t forget to get the person to come out. You have to stand in a way we can make sure you do the aegyo,” Jungkook calls as Jimin exits the car.
Jimin glares at Jungkook before making his way up the path. He slips the ridiculous headband onto his head. Taking out his phone and attaching a speaker, he takes a few deep breaths. Locating an instrumental to Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas, he pauses it and then knocks on the door. He didn’t want to keep thinking about it. He just wanted to get it over with. The thing is, when the door actually opened, all he wanted to do was high tail it back to the car.
“Hi,” a young woman greets him with the most beautiful smile he’d ever seen. Recognition quickly alights in her eyes. The look probably mirroring his own. “Jimin?” she questions.
Jimin’s cheeks flush at the sound of his name on her lips. She knew his name? He was surprised. He had seen her many times at the grocery store he worked as a cashier at, but he hadn’t been aware that she had actually taken notice of his name. He knew hers because she had bought alcohol once and he’d had to ask for her for ID. He’d memorized her name that day. Other than him ringing up her groceries, offering polite ‘hello, how are you’s’, they’d never actually held a real conversation.
“Yes,” he finally replies softly. “You’re Y/N, right?”
He watches her fingers tuck a few strands of hair behind her ear as she answers, “I am. Nice hat by the way,” she giggles. Remembering what he has to do, he swallows, shifting on his feet uncomfortably.
“Uhm...yes. I...I lost a bet to my friend.” Jimin points behind him and Y/N briefly looks over his shoulder to see the parked car at the curb. “I have to sing, while they watch.”
His voice is barely audible by the time he finishes explaining. Y/N smiles, amused at his situation, but very happy to see the predicament has brought the cashier she had a crush on here to her front door. She’d always been too bashful to say anything anytime she went in for groceries. Now that he was here, she would definitely take this as a sign to make a move. Oh...and she was curious to see if he really could sing.
“Ok,” she says stepping out and closing the door behind her. “I love caroling. Let’s see what you got.”
Jimin chuckles nervously as he glances over to Hobi and Jungkook. They offer him matching Cheshire-like grins and Jimin returns his attention to Y/N, thinking to himself, of all the homes for him to knock on...of all the people for him to make a fool of himself...why did it have to be her?
“Sure, ok. So they...uh...they want you to stand in-front of me, but we have to stand to the side so they can see everything,” he informs her with an humiliated shake of his head.
She positions herself on the opposite side of him and looks at him attentively. Jimin turns his speaker on and presses play on the phone before setting both on the stoop. As the instrumental for Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas begins to play, Jimin clears his throat to prepare himself.
Parting his lips slightly, he follows the melody as he begins to sing, “Have yourself a merry little Christmas. Let your heart be light. From now on your troubles will be out of sight…”
He watches her face turn from humored to astonishment. He wasn’t sure what to think about that. Did she like it? He threw in aegyo every few lines, feeling flames of mortification burn the tips of his ears, and that would bring a sparkle to her eyes, but mostly she appeared to be captivated by his voice. When he finishes, he looks at her expectantly.
“Wow, Jimin!” she says on a sigh. “That was beautiful.”
Jimin smiles happily at her praise. “Thank you,” he bows appreciatively.
“Do you want to come in for a bit?” Y/N asks suddenly.
Taken aback, at first Jimin doesn’t know what to say, but then he snaps out of his shock and replies with a nod. “Yeah. Sure. I’d like that.”
“Great.”
“Give me a sec while I let them know.” He grabs his phone and speaker. Jogging back to the grinning fools, Jimin informs them, “Hey. I’ll catch up with you guys later.” The amused smirks on their faces drop. “What? Why?” Hobi asks, taking the speaker that Jimin is now shoving at him. “She invited me in,” Jimin smirks. “She what?” Jungkook nearly screeches from beside Hobi. “She invited me in,” he repeats with a shrug. The shock on their faces is priceless. “I should lose more often,” Jimin adds, knocking on the driver’s side door signifying the conversation was over. Turning on his heels and heading back up the walkway, Jimin can’t help but think to himself, Looks like I’m the winner after all.
A/N: Thank you for reading! This one was a lot of fun to write. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. Five more members to go. These might run through January, depending how much time I can squeeze some writing in between these hectic days. Thanks again. Until next time...
