Remember guys if someone block evades you are able to report them. Its against the rules!

Seriously it's so important to first of all report & tell the toyhouse mod their block evading, even if your report does nothing the mod will eventually realise "oh this isn't just a one time thing, this is constant" and actually do something.

If you cant follow the simple sites rules about "hey dont go through all this effort to block evade. Your account may be suspended " and you still do it then you shouldn't be on the site. Not asking people to mass report since i don't agree with mass reporting but if it personally happens to you then you should definitely report it if you're uncomfortable.

OCtober 2024 ⭐ Day 4: Under-Appreciated OC

The first OC that comes to mind for this prompt is Juno, because she's supposed to be the main character, but I feel like she isn't as fleshed out as her friends. character traits that she has that i love:

does not give up, she will wear herself down to the point of exhaustion first

complex about trying to save/help as many people as possible, gets sad if she can't save someone

knows martial arts

she acts more chill and good-natured than Steve and Tora, who are really petty.

basically the caretaker of her friends, they go to her for advice, and she has to remind them to not do stupid shit.

usually shes the only sane man. but occasionally acts deranged. examples:

crazy determination, as previously stated

represses so much shit, to focus on fighting for the greater good

lowkey kind of a gun nut

every once in a while, the tables turn, and she does some stupid shit herself. and her friends have to step in for her. because thats what she did for them

attracted to stupid people

part of her arc is figuring out that her current boyfriend isn't right for her, and breaking up, and then getting a girlfriend.

so. much. angst.

i want her to be able to relax in the post canon. actually i want everyone to relax post canon. i think after you save an alternate version of earth, u should get paid at least enough to retire forever. i want them to be happy

also, if possible, id like to flesh out "Dale" more, and give him a different name. i want to also flesh out the other minor characters in hexagon. so far Dr. Moss, Terry, and Charlie all have their own toyhouse pages, but i have other vague ideas for background characters that i wanna make more concrete eventually.

Petra - shes part of her own fantasy world that i made ages ago but mostly forgot about

space robots - i love these guys so much!!! i feel like i should make a secret third space robot, like a dog that represents twilight

literally every other character in the untitled robot game (i ran out of character ideas)

since the alien cats are loosely based off of scientology lore. i think it would also be funny to base some of the robots off of lesswrong and e/acc ideas. im sorry, but cults have the best scifi worldbuilding.

ok but this is a bit of a random tangent but: scientology lore, especially the Xenu story, talks about powerful alien organizations that use psychological manipulation to oppress people. the church of scientology portrays itself as being the opposite of these organizations, but someone who is anti-scientology could also write about these organizations to make them allegories for the church. on a similar note you could also use the paperclip maximizer as a metaphor for big tech corporations that waste resources and hurt the environment. or use the ai box thought experiment as a metaphor for charismatic cult leaders.

also since my MCs are based off of vocaloids. i do plan to use vocaloid characters as inspo for some of the other characters, but not completely.

OCtober 2024 Day 3: Old OC

technically i don't know who my oldest oc is, because ive literally been making up little guys in my head ever since I was capable of forming memories. but heres some honorable mentions:

when i was in ~5th grade i was obsessed with dragons, so i bugged my mom to sew me a dragon hoodie for halloween, and she did, and i had lots of fun. the dragon hoodie was so cool that in my head, i invented a story about girls wearing magical dragon & unicorn pajamas that turned them into those creatures in another world or something, i forget most of the details tho.

one time i was walking around the playground and talking to myself. and i came up with a story about dragon people living in this isolated town where nobody was allowed to leave. the town was ruled by this dragon named "Firelord" and it was surrounded by this huge ring of fire. some dragon kids escaped though, to figure out what was actually going on.

it turned out that Firelord was one of four quadruplets with magical powers, they were Earthlord, Waterlord, Firelord, and Airlord. but they had an evil younger brother named Hypnolord, who wanted to take over the world, and had everyone trapped in his evil skyscraper prison. So Firelord made the town where nobody is allowed to leave, to protect everybody. fortunately the dragon kids defeated Hypnolord, and saved the day.

i was really into legos and dragons. so for my birthday my mom went on ebay and bought a bunch of the baby norbert lego figure in different colors. while listening to music i imagined them in music videos in my head, eventually each figure had like. its own personality.

also when lego elves came out, i bought all of the lego elves dragon sets. and each of those baby dragons also got their own personality too.

I had this oc Max, who was a stupid teenage boy, and his little sister Megan was like this child genius. originally Max was supposed to be super depressed and edgy, but eventually evolved to be totally different.

Max and Meg weren't actually related. they were adopted by a talking cat that was their dad. the cat was british

also sometimes Megan had this other friend who was a child serial killer. she had the same black hat as that one xkcd character that has that hat, becuase theyre both eeeeevil.

i drew so much fanart of them, i cringe to remember what my art style was like then

I have not had the time to really keep up w social media lately but I did enter V into @sonic-oc-showdown so I’m throwing together a post about him for anyone who hasn’t seen him before. Sege linked me a list of questions for an ask game so I’m going to answer those under the cut.

He also has a toyhouse page, which is a little out of date, but very lightly touches some darker topics (some medical and medical experimentation themes, mentions of drug use, mentions of trauma, violence and mental illness). V is a long-time comfort character which also means he has suffered so much bc that’s how we roll sometimes.

✨- How did you come up with the OC’s name? “Agent” bc he works for GUN, “VX” bc it’s the name of a nerve agent. It is also a subtle pun. You’re welcome.

🌼 - How old are they? (Or approximate age range) Current-day V is 35 years old, but as a riftclaw he’d fall into the 18-21 age group (adult, still kinda dumb and impulsive).

🌺- Do they have any love interest(s)? V is poly and is dating several people at once. He’s married to Caprice for legal reasons, but the whole of the polycule encompasses them and Curie, Valke and Luka, w V having a couple casual partners not involved in the main polycule (Atos [for now], Chad, Neura).

🍕 - What is their favorite food? V doesn’t really like to eat and kinda treats it as an unfortunate necessity of continuing to live.

💼 - What do they do for a living? V works for GUN in a weird in-between position; on paper he’s a field agent but he ends up doing multiple different jobs especially if there’s gaps that need filling. At the moment he’s acting medical examiner while they find someone qualified enough to handle the weirder cases that come through GUN’s HQ.

��� - Do they have any hobbies? He buries himself in work a good 95% of the time but he sure loves to play minecraft. He’s banned himself from videogames bc he knows if he plays more than one he’ll never get anything done again.

🎯 -What do they do best? V’s main strength is that he’s stubborn as hell and willing to smack his head against something repeatedly until he wins. His whole side goal is developing a cure for a genetic illness that’s present in his clan and despite this seeming impossible he has been pushing his way through an insane amount of study while also holding down his GUN job in order to eventually do that.

🥊 -What do they love to do? What do they hate to do? He loves learning about new horrible poisons and diseases, which is one of his favourite pastimes. He also loves spending time w his datemates/packmates (two different things). He hates being told what to do so anything he’s being commanded to do is something he hates in that moment. Hilarious.

❤️ - What is one of your OC’s best memories? The first time he got to hold his son again after giving him up for adoption shortly after he was born. That Muna’s new parents wanted him to still have some kind of relationship with him was an unexpected joy for him.

✂️ - What is one of your OC’s worst memories? There’s this whole 6-month period of his life where he was “working” for Glory he does not like to remember at all.

🧊 - Is their current design the first one? No but it’s still very close. The main changes were removing the spines on the tail and adding the big triangular eye markings.

🍀 - What originally inspired the OC? Thorny devil lizards + horrible poisons I was reading about as a teen. Then I watched Repo! The Genetic Opera and you can probably see where I got his outfit from if you know anything about it.

🌂 - What genre do they belong in? Whatever genre you’d assign an edgier sonic game like SA2 or ShTH.

💚 - What is your OC’s gender identity and sexuality? I call him genderfluid and alloaro (+ bi/pan) although he doesn’t really ID as either in-universe. His perception of his own gender tends to change a lot, and “he” is just the easiest pronoun to use when you work with humans a lot.

🙌 - How many sibling does your OC have? He was raised as an only child; he has a half-sister who lives in a different world and has adopted a few of his alternate selves + their siblings.

🍎 - What is the OC’s relationship w/their parents like? His relationships w his mum and grandpa (the parents who raised him) are quite positive; he visits them at least once a year during the big gathering the clan holds in June. His relationship with his father is terrible and he’s threatened to kill the guy at least twice.

🧠 - What do you like most about the OC? This one is difficult to answer bc I’ve been rotating him constantly in my mind for 10+ years now. I like drawing him and writing about him and also thinking about what’s going on in his mind. Also I project a lot on him. That’s fun.

✏️ - How often do you draw/write about the OC? Extremely but I never finish writing. I draw him more than anyone else atm.

💎 - Do you ever see yourself killing off the OC? No, bc it’s funny if the guy who doesn’t really wanna survive lives forever.

💀 - Does your OC have any phobias? He has a general fear of losing his control of his self, which is specifically triggered by Glory’s mind control powers but applies more broadly to having his autonomy restricted.

🍩 -Who is your OC’s arch-nemesis or rival? Glory is V’s biggest adversary and basically like, his end boss. He has a couple smaller opponents (couple guys in the UF military structure, Ossein) to go through first though.

🎓 - How long have you had the OC?/ 🍥 - What age were you when you created the OC? Since I was 17 or so, so about 16-17 years. We’re old!

currently, no! but i do plan on making a comic about them eventually, and i'd like to get it started this year (it will be called verdant ventures!). it will most likely be in the visual format of these, which i made specifically with VV in mind. verdant ventures, in comic format, will be a comedy slice-of-life where most pages won't be entirely connected, but i'll dip into multi-page stuff whenever i feel like it, & will have little bits of story stuff sprinkled in. i do comedy and SoL first and foremost, but character interaction & exploration of serious subjects are both incredibly important to me, so those will show up too :-] the MCs of the comic/story are my cacturne & breloom & nuzleaf, who are brothers (not by blood but should only be seen as such). i lurve them

my pmd ocs can all be seen in my toyhouse folder, but the bios i gave for my main guys are extremely old and outdated (i just can't be bothered to wipe them). i've only recently been posting about them on tumblr in regards to crossposting on twitter! but i ramble more about them in the tags here haha.

i write a lot about them, but not usually in any cohesive way. i did write a vague this-is-how-this-would-happen for one event between my guys, though, that i haven't uploaded in full anywhere (i did consider doing it today, actually!)

there's no photos and many paragraphs. i'm sorry for how long this is in advance. this is also Still Not Everything. details are missing and it's only up to LWS4 ... i should go back and add more Personal Story time details and Heart of Thorns and such! so. technically a big WIP but what can ya do !!!

Backstory

He spent the majority of his childhood underground, knowing next to nothing about the surface or its troubles. His time was spent studying material he was never quite interested in, and picking up hobbies from his mothers, Lenna & Azzun. He was distant from his father, but close to his half-sister Rylii and twin Lusii. The year he and Lusii turned 11, in 1078 AE, they were forced to escape to the surface. As far as Liifa knew, only he and Rylii had made it out. They surfaced somewhere in the Crystal Desert, uncertain of where they were and how to survive. Luckily, it was only a few days before they encountered Sunspears, who ended up offering them food and then shelter after hearing their story. As the years went by, Liifa grew up on stories of the desert, and of the newly ascended Kormir, and something had finally caught his interest. He took up field medic training with his half-sister, and ended up making friends with a few training Priests of the Six. Nadia ended up his best friend, and strongly encouraged him to train as well, since he was so interested in and devoted to it. The elder Priesthood always tried giving him trouble, but thanks to Nadia and their friends it didn't get to him too much. Unfortunately, tragedy struck before either he or Nadia could ever enter their actual respective Priesthoods. During their training, they’d traveled far from the Sunspear Sanctuary, and ended up right in the crosshairs of an Awakened attack on a small town. They both did their best to defend the townspeople, but ended up being forced to retreat. Nadia, unfortunately, went missing during the attack. Despite extensive searching, both with groups and on his own, Liifa was unable to find her. Being unable to save his best friend is a wound he still carries today, but back then it also made him more determined to not lose another soul. In the midst of his grief, he met a mysterious figure, who cheerfully offered him an ancient tome. He was rightfully suspicious, but they convinced him to accept it as a gift, claiming that wouldn’t it be right for a Priest of Kormir’s to cleanse a book of Abaddon’s, and make use of the power inside for good? Of course, the Sunspears didn’t take this book lightly, even though Liifa had the good sense to hide it for a while. To them, that made it appear all the more suspicious. He was exiled from the Sanctuary, and forced to strike out on his own. Rylii was hesitant to keep in touch with him, for fear of being exiled herself, but sent some letters nonetheless. Liifa assumed a personal vendetta with Joko and the Awakened, figuring that if he hadn’t lost Nadia then he wouldn’t have made the decisions that got him here, on his own. He kept tabs on the Awakened’s movements, and stopped them where he could with some of his newly discovered magic, courtesy of the Binding. Eventually, Rylii’s line of travel lined up with the Awakened. He got there in the middle of the battle, desperately searching for his sister as he feared losing her how he lost Nadia. He finds her fatally injured, but still alive. Without considering the consequences, he draws power from the Binding in order to aid himself in healing her - he’s successful, but not without unforeseen consequences that will follow them both centuries later. They’re both unknowing for the time being, but the magic from the Binding creates a lich-phylactery bond, making them both effectively immortal unless Rylii was killed first. They both separate from the Sunspears, finding a place to settle in western Tyria, although Liifa’s much more taken with the ship Captain that offered them safe passage. He and his sister’s family split ways, though they sometimes exchange letters over the years, until they eventually drift apart. As Liifa gets to know the Binding better, it gets to know him better, and the demons inside taunt him with anything they can, such as what he’s unknowingly done to his sister. The next two centuries are rife with struggle and distress, and the newborn lich settles for running from his troubles instead of dealing with them.

Present Day

Now he travels the world on his own, sometimes joined by the Binding, and sometimes not. He’s got a lot of loose ends that he doesn’t pay attention to tying up, assuming time will take care of them for him, like it has with so many in the past. He makes deals in place of the Binding to keep the demons from getting too feisty, and he’s always avoided those he places the Binding in the hands of after. It always makes its way back to him anyway, whether he wants it to or not. He hasn’t spoken to his sister in years, though he’s occasionally taken the jaunt to check on her from a distance. He’s become a shadow in modern day Tyria, unaware that some of the Elonian legends he’s heard over the years line a trail right back to him. He’s always been meaning to go back. He has unfinished business with another lich, after all.

Living World Season 4

After getting stuck in Gandara with Eliana for nearly a year during the first half of LWS4, he joins the Commander's team with Eliana after Phoenix offers the duo a place with them. He becomes the team's official field medic and keeps his identity as a lich under wraps for as long as he can. (Khozzak, however, makes that very short-lived.) He's very anxious around Aurene, as his only personal histories with dragons so far has been Primordus destroying his home in his childhood, and briefly helping the Pact against Zhaitan as a favor to Trahearne. He stays close by Eliana's side, making sure that she's alright and that Ipos hasn't returned to causing her trouble. She still carries the book, after all. His opinion of Aurene takes a sharp turn after the events of All or Nothing. During the struggle against Kralkatorrik, Aurene breaks from harassing the Elder Dragon in order to kill a Branded creature that had nearly caught Liifa off-guard. Her gentle demeanor toward him after that kill, ensuring that he was unharmed, and then chirping brightly before taking off once more, did a lot to endear the little blue dragon to him. It was his first actual interaction with her, and it struck him that she seemed to keep it as brief as she could, possibly for his comfort. He's a trainwreck during the lull between All or Nothing and War Eternal. Liifa briefly leaves the team to visit his sister, Rylii, for the first time in over two centuries. He tells her nothing of the current state of the world, as her hermit home has kept her mostly out of the loop anyway, and he doesn't want to stress her out. Talking with her after so long also helps to provide clarity to his own feelings about the blue sylvari he's been accompanying. Whether he wants to acknowledge his feelings or not.

He returns to the team, and to Eliana's side, shortly before War Eternal, intending to at least attend the official funeral for Aurene and her Champion. Liifa picks up on what's happening before Aurene is even fully revived. The heartbeat-like pulse of her glow makes him run through all of his medical knowledge, before remembering how Gandara ended. He's the first to inform the group of "Of course she's still alive, she ingested lich magic!" He doesn't say it out loud, but he does hold the hope that maybe she'll have enough strength to revive her Champion as well. He tends to Eliana after she expends much of her energy to use her connection with Aurene to help revive the duo, and he's stunned by the manner of how Phoenix comes back to life. Liifa very much expected her to still be human, maybe just crystallized like how Caithe appears. Instead, the remaining life and magic in Caladbolg is used to assist her revival, and in turn, turns her into a sylvari. A living thorn of the Dream, now. Something about it makes him remember his old friend Trahearne. Assisting as well as he can while keeping an eye on Eliana's health, he happily avoids treading anywhere near Kralkatorrik. He's already narrowly avoided death by one rock-related dragon, and he doesn't feel like making it two. The duo is relieved as Kralkatorrik officially passes, and standing on the bow of an airship as Aurene ascends. As frightening as the journey had been so far, Liifa could tell in his bones that there would still be more to come. The duo mutually agrees on staying with the Commander's Team, intending to help see the Dragon Cycle through to its very end.

Blog/OC story intro

This blog is focusing on the characters Wesley Burchell and Aurelius (Ari) Stevens, and some other characters in their universe.

I'll specifically be focusing on Wesley a lot, since i want this story to be told mostly from his point of view. it should be noted that anything written in his pov can not be taken as fully accurate 100% of the time. he's an unreliable narrator, sometimes his view of things can be warped. if you ever want to ask me about any details, feel free. i may be able to clarify and add some things to help add more context from an outside perspective, unless its something i want to keep a mystery of course.

anything written/said in AMA answers and other things like that by me as the author will be in this color of text. anything by Wesley will be in blue text, anything by Ari will be in yellow text, anything by background characters will be in purple text.

i categorize different sections of specifically Wesleys life in "Eras". at the moment, Era 1, Era 2, and Era 3, starting when Wesley first moves to America. anything before that is BE1, "Before Era 1", and anything after Era 3 has been undecided yet, since im not exactly that far into the complete story yet.

I have no intention of this story ever being anything too too serious. this blog is really just for my own enjoyment and for sharing my characters backstory with my friends and mutuals.

i take requests for art! no charge (since i literally can't take money right now lol, maybe in the future), if it's something i'm interested in i'll happily make something for it! just got a couple'a rule for taking requests, you know how it is.

just about any amount of spice is cool for fics, but i'll only do suggestive drawings (underwear, kissing in suggestive places, stuff like that)

considering my style, cartoon gore is totally cool, just nothing too intense or spooky. i'm just a silly lil guy :}

I have a penchant for writing stories and mini comics. As of the last 13 years, I’ve taken up an interest in RPing both here on Tumblr and in private with friends.

And ya, Sistem is a Speakerperson! I haven’t shared her on tumblr yet, but she and Nara were like ex-best friends

Sistem and Systa were known as the Stylist Sisters and they did like fashion and shows and shit. Both have a painfully high ego that they kind of Don’t like each other due to constant jealousy and competition

Eventually Systa does some grand thing (I haven’t decided what yet) that makes them blow up in popularity and Sistem absolutely Loses her mind about it and actively tries to Kill Them

Systa eventually ‘disappears’ and is assumed Dead by circumstances, but in secret, they gave themself a whole new makeover and is now Nara, who is the narrator of the Storyteller Trio

At some point however, Sistem Does figure out who Nara, due to him continuing to be painfully egotistical after all this time, stalks him and eventually jams his system and his mute button, locked him in a room and then stole his identity

And since they’re almost identical in personality, Nobody noticed a Thing. Only reason she got sussed out was because Nara ACTUALLY pays his coworkers, and Sistem was so convinced he was enslaving them and so she had no good excuse to leave them unpaid

Her mere existence happened because All Eyes On Me by Or3o is a banger

Hey there! Thank you and I could say the same to you! It's always nice to meet more furs here on Tumblr. I used to follow a bunch myself but most of them seem to have largely left the site unfortunately :/ That being said, I do have an art tag! Up to now I haven't posted much of my art to Tumblr but if that's your preference, you can find any art I do post here under my dog draws tag. Currently it's only got the one post, but I'm hoping to post more of my art here in future! Other than that? I post the majority of my art to my Toyhouse (that link should take you directly to my gallery there since I know the site is weird to navigate) and my Furaffinity nowadays. I try to consistently post my art to both but admittedly I'm not too active on the latter. As for my writing? Unlike art, writing only recently became something I'd consider as an outright hobby so comparatively I don't have a whole lot to show for it publically. However, I would like that to change. I've been trying to figure out a good place to post my writing, but most of the sites I know of that allow for written works are predominantly for fanfiction (which I did used to write and I am considering getting back into writing but it's not a priority right now) so I'm not too sure what to do there. I actually very recently made a writing blog here on Tumblr to potentially test the waters on that so I may be posting some of my writing there eventually? Jury's still out on that as of right now but we'll see how that goes if I do end up going down that route. I guess we’ve been long overdue for an updates post yeah? Last one I made was legit Nov 2021... I think I should at least leave another update post before seeing if I’m still around or end up vanishing yet again, lmfao But regardless, getting to the point...

Tossing shit under a read more just so that in case of a lengthy ass post it doesn’t clog people’s dashboards (dashboards? timelines? ...I’ve been mostly on twitter lmao so). TL;DR, life’s come swinging hard at me so it’s kept all of my focus mostly on personal matters, less on art, even with still creating things in the distance despite taking a lengthy hiatus (that’s arguably still ongoing? a semi hiatus now perhaps) so.

So I mean, for starters its kinda. Obvious that I’ve been more active on other social media sites rather than here, & tbh whether I really stick around here for long or end up disappearing back into the depths once more for whatever unforeseen reason is yet to be seen, especially since I only really use this place on occasion (for my mental health’s sake, mostly, whether that’ll change over time or will always remain in this “appears only occasionally” cycle is something we’ve yet to see, but for now... just don’t count on me really being consistently active here)

But even with being more active on other places I’ve still taken a semi-hiatus/hiatus, with a major part of that being attributed to uh. Health issues coming back with a vengeance & tryna crush me lol. I mean that’s, kinda par for the course with chronic illness I guess? But it’s put a heavy emphasis on me having to look after myself even moreso than before, & this amidst still processing some really heavy shit I mentioned in my last update that I won’t get into (bc it’s both deeply personal & very trigger heavy), on top of other things life keeps throwing at me (because of course it would), well I’ve just taken priority on taking care of that & making sure I’m fine &... thus not really being too present on here or anywhere really. Sometimes showing up on occasions because I engage with astrology related communities (since I’m learning more on that & other personal practices I won’t bore y’all with), sometimes showing up to support other artists, but yeah.

I do admit tho I’ve still been creating stuff in the background. Be it practicing with stuff art wise or working on other personal OC stuff or projects, I’ve had that still, & its one of the things that helps keep me afloat whilst also navigating, well, life itself. It’s admittedly been difficult navigating shit also tho because due to my health situation, I can’t really do comms (& I’ve been on break from them due to burnout), so income’s been... troublesome to say the least considering medical bills & all that. So trying to find ways to get that & sometimes getting help from others has been another thing that’s kept me away, but yeah.

Ultimately tl;dr of it is that I’ve just had life itself as a priority above all other things. & it’s bound to stay that way for a while, so yeah. But I still do want to see if, on occasions I’m on here posting art, I can maybe share some stuff around the OCs I’ve worked on/created/etc, as well as maybe lore for personal worldbuilding stuff?

I mean I need to share it on my toyhouse eventually anyway LOL, & AT LEAST on here I can make posts about OCs without being constrained to a fucking 280 char limit per post if I opt to do so 💀 Or see what else I choose to share as well as the art I make from time to time? Especially since I’ve been majorly revamping my own OCs & even with my sona I’ll soon be showcasing their proper ref in full with all forms of them/versions of em, both in & out of fandom but. yeah. Things to come.

Also- do expect more of this acct to start turning more OC focused or, IF I share fancharacters, its more centered around them... It doesn’t mean I’ll stop doing fanart no, since I do enjoy doing that on my spare time too, BUT I want my focus shifted primarily on OC content more since that’s my own personal passion anyway (be it OCs, fancharacters, self ship stuff too, or other’s OCs also) & cause I usually have more to ramble on about when it comes to OCs? So yeah. I plan to also implement other changes later into this acct but I’m presently just figuring that mess out while still being on semi-hiatus so yeah.
