i think i have used venti’s ability to teleport in my fics more times than genshin has in their own game

oh also one thing that i realized just now: qbagi’s initial suspicion over what’s happening to qphil being tied to the federation is technically not wrong
you know what drew qphil’s deities’ interest to him and quesadilla island? the birdcage. rose said in her earliest message ”I could sense the bleeding heart of the one I once knew, far, far away”. the deities noticed qphil had disappeared, and maybe they were curious to know what had happened, but the thing that drove them to find him was rose’s want to help him. and if she really was the one that freed him from the cage (and it’s heavily hinted she was), that birdcage undeniably was the thing that launched all of this into action.
how the enderking figured out that qphil had been weakened? we don’t know, maybe he sensed it, maybe he had already been observing him, maybe he noticed rose leaving to look for qphil, it doesn’t really matter. what does matter is that the trauma qphil got from being locked in that cage is what gave the enderking the perfect opportunity to strike. and is what led us to where we are now in the story. so even thought the federation isn’t ultimately the one tormenting qphil right now, it can still all be traced back to them and their continual abuses of power :)

#ffxiv#endwalker spoilers#glam debut!#her stormblood hat is back#I didn't post about ffxiv back when I was levelling but she was big on the Of Aiming version of this hat and I mostly played Of Aiming jobs#anyway took a while to narrow down a glam that would look good with a backpack and respect her journey#and she's getting the new haircut to WoL it up so the hat may come and go depending on how it works with it#also the hat is not for cutscenes but I should see how the new shadows work#because darker skinned wol and cutscenes and hat has historically NOT BEEN GREAT.#maybe there's a bit better ambient lighting#I made over 500 orange tomes in one day and bought 2 and a half manderville weapons#sleeeepy

The Anger route for Harding has a far healthier understanding of emotions but the Compassion route has a way better ending (and outfit) cause connecting with Kal Sharok and returning the knowledge of the Stone to her own people is FAR more important than any mystical oracle moment while wearing the ugliest titty armor I've ever seen

Still so funny that if not for my typical "Hey maybe I should put this off for a while" strategy for the end of games I would've walked directly into the Ganondorf fight without seeing a single one of Zelda's memories

I played street fighter games w my family as a kid but didn't really get into the story until this year. Vega was my sister's main as a kid and became my fav when I looked into his backstory. He's just sooooooooo .
I think your post rewired something in my brain, because before, I def appreciated the tragedy of his past, but I never considered how a healing arc could go for him. Just couldn't picture it. But Ryu and Ken are PERFECT for this and maybe the only ones to say 'I could fix him' and succeed. And I think he adds something to their dynamic as well.

thinking about andromeda again and like why didn’t they make facial animations a prime focus when the game is 50% cutscenes 😐
#like no one looked at lexi and was like yeah people are going to notice every asari looks like her#no one looked at turians and remembered they should have facial markings and expressive mandibles#the original trilogy had i think four face models for asari but with their varying skin tones and facial markings you’d never notice#and with turians again their skin and markings really made you feel confused about npcs#*never made#not to mention how humanoid faces move?? in the trilogy everything moved as a whole#open the mouth wide and you could see the nose move too. they even had a special thing dedicated to how eyes work#in me:a everything moves individually making it so uncanny and robotic and weird !!!!#and the eyes are horrific the shading is so poor#gives me a greater appreciation for the trilogy’s expressions which are really quite stellar but damn#idk it’s wild. i really love so much about me:a but those cutscenes pull me out of it every time#anyways.txt

really feeling a way about eyrie being a healer tonight
#Astro my beloved ;—;#it really is just becoming my favorite healer of the bunch#it’s comfy it’s got good recovery it’s all Very Nice#astro also fits the best in eyrie’s lore—their experiences with healing magic are a mix of geomancy + astrology + whm after a fashion#i say whm but not truly whm the white magic eyrie knows is very distant and removed from that of gridania#but eyrie takes a lot of that healing knowledge and smooshes it into astro#while leveva looks on in fascination and an odd bit of horror#the stormblood quests are very much in line with eyrie’s brain#they’re like ah yes put these practices together yes thank you I already do that in some form#it’s also with geomancy and astrology that they are practices both created by viera peoples but also techniques borrowed#borrowed from times when there was not as strict boundaries of leaving#eyrie borrows the cards into the reading and the sextant and card holder used by astros to channel the healing magic#it’s a common practice back home that tools are not used and the body is the conduit for healing#it puts less strain to use the sextant and cards#i should read more on geomancy tbh#but I was watching cutscenes w eyrie as astro and it was A vibe that I was feeling#tbh eyrie in a trust would be an all arounder as an astro + bard + drk combo#I also have feelings about eyrie coming to terms with drk stuff though warrior and subsequently going back to drk#eyrie knows what myste is and it terrifies them to think of what is inside of them#so they stuff the broken soul deep in their things and leave it there#what created myste isn’t going away. it lurks—the feeling of it in their gut and unsettling#so warrior it is#oc: eyrie kisne#i am so sorry to whomever reads this rant

finished (or at least got through part of the epilogue party in) bg3 today and ough. i’m going to be tormented by thoughts of post canon inula and astarion aren’t i
#head in hands. i’m normal about them (projecting)#bg3 spoilers#inula posting#i loveeee that she has managed to actually become a character through this game… she’d been a concept for so long#but now she’s actually Someone!! even if said someone is a self insert lol#i still find their little dynamic so funny. lawful neutral life domain cleric worshipping a goddess of light and joy#+ her sarcastic emotional support chaotic neutral vampire rogue /hj#i have so many screenshots i sent my friend of inula like Covered in blood while astarion was behind her spotless in cutscenes AGDJDHSJS#it SHOULD be the other way around but. it’s funnier this way#anyway. i like to believe that they moved to the underdark or something and have been splitting their time between helping the spawn there—#—and looking for ways for astarion to walk in the sun again#i think inula would want to settle down or at least relax for a while after the events of the game since. that is *a lot* for someone who—#—had never left her clergy before all of this lol. i don’t think astarion would settle down as easily though#they balance it out with some smaller adventures and travels probably. going to different towns and cities to find more books or leads#SIIIIIIGH anyway. sitting here. thinking. will probably continue thinking to no one’s surprise#they are just so sillyyyy and important to meeee. i would babble more about their dynamic#because i reeeaaally like how it played out in game but. that’s for another post when i fully get inula’s backstory fleshed out :3c#i again still find it funny they even ended up together lol i wasn’t necessarily trying too hard for it#perhaps her whimsy and need to be a push over bewitched him u_u (COUGHeasy to manipulateCOUGH)#anyway

i spent most of wyrmlife crystal wealth on armor i decided didn’t look good with any cloak so syl’s not wearing it yet only to regret it even harder after switching thorne to sorcerer bc now i can’t get him the archistaff he deserves. i wouldn’t have bought the armor if i didn’t think i can recover the crystals but now i think i can’t and i’m full of silly rage
