FYI, this is a secondary NSFW safe blog for my muse over at @mors-pulchritudo. (She is an adult, she is 23 in her species' years.) The rules for this blog are basically the same, except for a few changes. Namely rules 1 and 8.

(Rule 1 change) On this blog, NSFW is allowed. What does this mean? It means that there may be sexual content, less censored violence, triggers, and the like. If that makes you uncomfortable, you are totally welcome to stay over at my other blog for this OC. It won't have as many adults themes, and even if there are they will be suggestive/vaguely hinted at, at best.

(Rule 8 change) Because there is a chance of sexual content occurring on this blog, I ask that if you are below the age of 18 that you stay over at my other blog. Sexual content may range from writings, to RP threads, or art (occasionally). hi I'm alive just busy bc holidays!

some minor blog updates for those who care:

I'm trying, generally speaking, to pivot more towards original posts again instead of using this as a reblog repository.

this blog is very old (going on 14 years!) and I used to be pretty active in my fandoms on here before the porn ban. when I came back, I lost a little over 50% of my followers due to my inactivity, with a good portion of the rest being dead blogs at this juncture. my blog was never "big" in any fandom I participated in, but I do miss the interaction with people.

I didn't really know how to get back in the swing of "normal posting," so I fell into using this blog as a repository because that was easier. there isn't anything wrong with that, ofc, but that was never the point of this blog. I have side blogs for that purpose that I'll probably revive soon instead.

that doesn't mean I won't reblog random things ever again on here, but I'll probably taper them down to more tailored things. stuff like fandom related posts or art refs/inspo rather than straight up memes 24/7. tho don't be surprised if a few slip through anyway. I'm not made of stone! 😭

this blog has, and always will be, focused around my interests. I don't post anything remotely political and intend to keep it that way. I will also say, I'm not very big about discussing my real life details in general; I am extremely private online and at most there might be vague hints at what I do for a living, but I keep my online persona segregated from real life as much as possible. that's more an FYI than anything else, just so any followers know what not to expect when I get back into "normal posting!"

I’m back.  But, technically, did I ever really leave?  And a FYI.

Good morning, Poppets.

I am officially off recovery leave.  Drove the Demon Spawn to school this morning and everything.

Which means I’m back to pretending I can write fanfiction, and paying actual attention to social media instead of just popping in when someone @’s me or I see A Very Important Post while I’m “indisposed”. 

ALSO - somehow, I managed to have an odd uptick in followers over the last week, for reasons I do not understand.

So here is the standard quarterly disclaimer for people who see something I did or find a random thing I posted in one of their favorite tags and think “She might be fun to follow”.

I play around in a lot of fandoms and ship a lot of ships.  Some are more popular than others, some get a fair amount of hate, some get lots of love, some are weird.  Who knows how the wind blows on any particular day.  Right now it seems to be Sherlock/Sherlolly, Star Wars/Reylo, Knives Out/BenoitxMarta, and probably some others I can’t remember.

I try (and occasionally fail) to tag my ships for easy blacklisting.  If I have not tagged a ship or fandom, please feel free to poke me about it so I can fix it.  Untagged ships or anti-ships are of the devil (even when I screw up and do it).  I reblog/post fandom stuff A LOT.  If you really, really can’t stand one of my ships or don’t want to bother blacklisting, I may not be a blog for you.

I write fanfic.  I mod a Sherlolly-centric fest tumblr thing.  I read a lot of fanfic.

I ramble and like story times far more than I probably should.

I make arts and crafts.  I knit and crochet.  I have done a few FunkoPop mods. 

Very important, I am open and honest about my mental illness because it’s important to me that people stop treating those things as if they’re taboo.  If that’s a trigger, I may not be a blog for you.

I’m gonna drop a lot of shit fyi. tldr at the bottom if you don’t wanna read all this heavy garbage.

So for a general refresher on my life, because no one asked and i feel like oversharing in this chili’s tonight, we’re gonna dive in deep. I dropped out of college to deal with a shit ton of mental health problems last year. (severe depression, anxiety, toxic relationships, toss in some trauma from an ex-boyfriend, lots of panic attacks, like the list is massive) I had one year (or so) left so that really sucked and ended up hurting more than helping me mentally. Tack on emotional stress of now trying to figure out how to write a resume without adding the fancy BA in arts/technology (whatever the fuck I was doing), and trying to find a job before the boredom eats me alive. But not actually having a resume to give people makes that quite difficult. Plus living with my parents, who I adore and they’ve been helpful and wonderful and I couldn’t ask for more understanding or more supportive people, but I’m super cozy and haven’t had an intense need to get out of the house yet. Even though I really miss living on my own. 

My doctor has me on medication that ruined my appetite, so I’m eating maybe?? once a day? It’s not good. It’s helped with anxiety at least, so I’m enjoying the outdoors and occasionally getting out of the house. I wake up every few hours wanting food but not being able to eat it, so I'm exhausted. I’ve gotten to watch the sunrise a lot though. It’s beautiful but I would love to watch it without hearing my stomach roar. 

It’s been at least a month since all that and it’s gotten better, I’m at least sort of eating lunch and dinner. Maybe a snack during the day. Still not optimal though, still watching that wonderful sunrise and it’s really peaceful in the mornings I’ll give it that. I have good days that I’ll actually try to be social, but the majority are just, I lay in bed and watch the ceiling fan until I get called down for dinner, or I deem it an acceptable time to sleep. It’s incredibly dull and HOT DAMN I wish I could actually sit and play sims because I want to, but the excitement is just not there. Sometimes there’s a spark but it always fizzles out before I do anything.

+ if this wasn’t enough ranting already for you, add on the fact that my girlfriend/best friend went mia for another 3 months, came back and has been sporadically going offline and not contacting me for days at a time. She’ll come back, explain what happened and then we go back to normal. And then she’ll disappear again. It’s incredibly draining for both of us, and I’m always livid when this happens because a warning would’ve been nice or something but it’s almost always a reason out of her control that I won’t go into detail on bc it’s family/personal related. But it always seems like there’s something I could be doing or something she could be doing. Or that she’s not trying to talk to me, or she’s not trying hard enough and then I feel like shit because I know she is doing all she can. (A lot of or’s and what if’s here. She’s been mia since Sunday so I’ve had time to think of all the possibilities of what’s happened this time and it’s quite a ride.) I’ve never doubted her before, I mean we constantly talk about the day we’re living together, getting to take care of each other and doing face masks and playing stupid games. Married and have kids + trying to see how many dogs we can have without dying. We’re both incredibly excited for that. But this is happening more often and it feels like there’s some easier solution that we’re both missing. The distance hasn’t ever really been a problem for us, or at least not a major one. But six years have kind of/sort of finally started to wear us down and there’s this ache when I talk to her sometimes because I want her next to me. I want to be able to go on road trips with her and randomly bring home stupid gifts. I want to be able to buy her family things and play dumb drinking games with them. I want to be able to ask her when she’s getting home and have it mean when are you going to be able to hug me. I wanna have dumb fights that we settle with lightsabers. 

I’m moving on before I start bawling.

Literally, all my problems (or a large majority) would be solved if I could get a job. And there’s the cycle. I need a job to get money to visit my girlfriend, but I need a resume to get a job. I need a job/purpose to help kick me out of this depressive funk I’m in but I need a resume. And I need to not be so depressed and critical if I’m going to actually write a resume because every time I look at it and try to write it I break down sobbing and I feel like a failure and OOF. Plus I need some motivation to actually work on things to put in a portfolio so I can get a job that I actually like and won’t hate. 

If you read all of that I’ll send you a picture of Fudge because you are a fucking trooper. (and that’s also all i have to give but like you deserve something LOL) 

tl;dr Hi, I’m not ok. Like at all. Taking it day by day, looking on the bright side of things (trying to at least). I’ll be lurking, but I won’t be posting anything. Maybe the occasional reblog, but I’m just going on an indefinite hiatus until something gets sorted. I’m not super amazing at talking to people right now but I’m way more active on discord so if you want to chat feel free to add me and say hi (meg#5181). (Attempted) SWTOR information masterpost

Recently I’ve seen more and more confused posts and/or people generally wondering out loud stuff about SWTOR. Like information about companions (especially the ones that are still missing) or upcoming updates, game lore, etc. I’m not sure if this is happening simply because of the Tumblr Purge™ - like, am I just seeing old posts now - or if it’s a real thing. 

Nevertheless, I thought it’d be great to create (or at least attempt to create) a post that would include handy sources in terms of stuff mentioned above, and much more. I know similar posts exist and I have reblogged those myself, but it doesn’t hurt to boost them again for all the newbies, and people with terrible memory - myself included. Also I’m way too lazy to search for all the worldbuilding stuff online right now, but I’ll appreciate if someone will add them here. 

FYI, some of these links might contain material that is considered as datamining, so if you’re strongly against it, I suggest you skip this one. I have personally never had issues with datamining (like, nobody’s forcing you to read/view anything), but just a reminder if it goes against your morals.

Dulfy.net - Has vast information about pretty much everything you need, including game updates (patch info), playthroughs (hate that boss fight? Read/watch here how it works), upcoming Cartel Market items etc. Updates regularly, so the information is pretty much always up to date.

SWTOR homepage - This is obvious, but people still get confused where to find THE stuff. Is updated more seldom than many fan-run sites, but contains 100% official information. Make sure to check at least the News-page and Holonet for, well, basically everything, as well as the Community-site (as mentioned later in this post).

Armor, weapons and decorations

TOR fashion - Has huge database about armor sets, individual pieces and weapons in the game, with search feature as well as various categories. AND PICTURES! Isn’t up to date (as of December 2018), but contains pretty much everything up until pre-Jedi Under Siege.

TOR decorating - Same as above, but with decorations! 

Hint! If you’re having hard time remembering the names of the items, get yourself a notebook to write it down, or take a screenshot of the thing that appeals to you! 

The Wikis

Wookieepedia - Fandom powered Star Wars-wiki. Contains information about SWTOR lore (characters, species, places etc.) too. Some articles contain both Canon and Legends-tabs, depending on what’s been confirmed as part of the official SW canon and what isn’t. 

SWTOR Wikia - As above, but with SWTOR-related info alone. Contains handy information both game-wise and lore-wise. Some articles may vary from the ones in Wookieepedia, so when in doubt, I check both. 

“OK, but what’s REALLY going on with <insert issue here>?”

The Dev(eloper) Tracker - Found in the Community part of official SWTOR homepage. As the name states, developers share what’s going on currently with the game, inform if there are any issues/changes we should be aware of etc. If you feel tiresome about checking on the forums every now and then, you can also follow The Dev Tracker on Twitter for updates.

The Old Republic (Twitter) - Official Twitter, with occasional behind the scenes-material (VAs, concept art, etc.), maintenance information, as well as handy, subject-related tweets from other sources. 

SWTOR Twitch - If you want to be among the first ones to know about new stuff (apart from datamining), check out the developer streams. Sadly, the stream is prone to crash every now and then, but in case if that happens, all the stuff will be eventually released in the Dev Tracker. 

“But I want MORE. I want to speculate!”

SWTOR-thread at TheForce.net - Pretty much combines the best of both worlds. Includes latest news, datamined (i.e. not yet officially released material), lots of speculation and Star Wars-lore that I personally find handy. Spoiler-y content is always hidden and it’s up to reader whether they want to see it or not. Has been running ever since October 2012 and contains 254 pages as we speak. Briefly: if you want to know all the good stuff in advance, I highly recommend this one!

About This Blog (for the New Followers)

Hi all, time for a post to catch all the new followers up to speed... again. (Seriously, idk how y’all manage to put up with my rambling-in-the-tags and occasional rants and disappearances for days to weeks on end due to Grad School Shenanigans, but I appreciate it, I really do.)

Welcome to the multifandom + books-and-writing + personal stuff nonsense!

Instead of repeating stuff that’s in my bio or on my somewhat hidden About Page (idk if that link will work for mobile as I need to get back into coding again), I’m just gonna say some basic stuff and whatnot. Also: If you wanna introduce yourselves to me and tell me what you’re all about and your projects/WIPs/etc, by all means, do so! I’m on summer break and I’ll respond to something as simple as a “hi” atm. 

What’s this blog about?: Stuff I like aka fandom stuff, books, writing, cooking, art, comics, languages and linguistics, science and medical stuff, music, etc. etc. I post more when I have free time, but I try to keep a regular queue. I keep specific personal details to a minimum, so you’re not gonna see pictures of my face or my real name, among other things. 

Why is everything scrambled together?: Because this is essentially a personal tumblr and I’m too busy to keep things organized by fandom/topic sideblogs, so I just tag things and hope for the best. Feel free to blacklist and filter tags for things you don’t wanna see on your dash (such as #politics or #us politics, for example); I really don’t mind what you do with your leisure time. Also, you’re welcome to ask me to tag for something. 

Are you a writeblr?: Ehhh, technically? But I spend a lot of time on worldbuilding and have other things going on (including other hobbies), so I’m not a particularly fast writer, nor do I have a plan for publishing anything for the next few years since I’ll be busy with surviving grad school and getting a stable income. But occasionally I post excerpts and conceptual stuff and I’m always down to talk about writing with other people, especially their WIPs (original fic, fanfic, poetry, scripts, webcomics, you name it; I’m not particularly biased towards one type of writing or another in particular). I’m not so good for being available for major editing or beta-reading things, so FYI.

Also, some personal policies: Since I’m mostly on tumblr for fun and procrastination shenanigans and to see what my friends are up to, I’m not really big on reblogging “we’re all gonna die”-type negativity posts, guilt-tripping posts, or stuff that adds to the tumblr shitscourse (including asks that are trying to start shit). I’m also not good with acting as anyone’s unpaid therapist when a) I’m not a professional and have no idea how to not make things worse, b) I’m already dealing with my own pile of mental baggage atm, and c) I’m too busy to give people the help they may really need. If you’re having a rough time of things, I’m sorry to hear that and I can refer you to professional resources, but I hope y’all understand when I say that I just don’t have the time or energy to respond to all of the stuff I see on my dash literally every day. Boundary crossing is also a major no-go. If you wouldn’t say it to a stranger, why would you say it to someone on tumblr? Be excellent to each other, y’all.
