#i say this as a dex apologist tho - i mean not really but in the grand scheme of cyberpunk#what Dex does is like nothing compared to so many other people#like the choice he makes is nothing compared to some of the shit V themself will do#most of it#and that is exactly the kind of choice you as a player would be given in a lot of other games#kill someone but get away or let them live and bring a whole world of attention onto you#it wasn't a planned betrayal it was a plan gone wrong and cleaning up the evidence#of course i did just see a fat character with a cool voice and go!!!!!! whilst preparing the 'curse your sudden but inevitable betray#quote - cause that was foreshadowed so strongly#awh dang the guy who keeps talking about being trustworthy and honest - he might betray me??? OH NO#almost as much as Jackie's 'look at a picture of my girl back home' in a military movie ending was so well set up too#tis peak
