mid-post reintegration mark is so cooked like. he has the wife he was yearning and mourning for over two years back. but helena eagan’s innie bewitched his innie’s heart and soul to such an immeasurable extent that it is literally bleeding out to affect him. he met helena, he flirted with her. his innie didn’t even do that with his wife. he will probably try to make it work with gemma, try to go back to the way things were. but they are not the same people anymore. they are both missing the ghosts of each other. whatever problems they were having in their marriage that caused them to start drifting apart near the end, won’t suddenly disappear just because they are reunited. and we all know how mark does not like to face his problems and grief. the reintegration process is irreversible once started, even if he doesn’t continue he will still get some flashes and memories. and who else can he possibly get constant flashes of, besides the woman his innie is deeply and genuinely in love with?
