I'm sorry for putting you through this, does this very bad quality image count as an apology 🤣 (zoom in on the tattoo)
Tumblr media
I was encouraged by @grapejuicegay to trash watch Pit Babe and so here I am but I have...questions...
Is Babe really getting off on hearing the sound of the engines?!
Why is Babe having sex with other Alphas (I can't believe I'm writing this 🤦🏽‍♀️) and not Omegas, especially if he doesn't like the way the Alphas smell? Is it because he's a 'Super Alpha' and prefers Alphas to Omegas? (oh dear god why am I doing this?!)
Isn't it a tad unfair to let him race using his special powers against others who don't have them?
I nearly choked on my water reading Pavel's tattoo thinking it said "Full Sausage" but then I remembered @slayerkitty or @sparklyeyedhimbo had already made a point of this and I thankfully realised it says "Full Savage" 😂
I actually can't stop thinking about how salty Babe's skin would be because that man would have been sweating in that car race...
Wait wait wait...are they really calling (translating) Babe having sex as the "concentration"?! Like it's a thing he needs to do to...release pent up energy?!...to focus his mind?!
Do we get to know if any of Babe's friends are also Alphas (or Omegas or Betas) or is he the only one?
Please! This is so silly (affectionate). They can't compete over a person...someone who has their own autonomy to say what he can do and with whom 😂 And, sorry, but Charlie, love, you should have had more confidence in Babe since you went to him as a fan.
How did Winner win that first one?... I can't believe this show has me googling how to win a drift race... "It's all about dominating the other driver..." ah, ok, now I get why they're doing this.
Oh, if I'd just continued watching I wouldn't have needed to google it 😂🤦🏽‍♀️
Kind of impressed by the actual drivers of these cars though.
Winner needs to take some advice from Elsa and Let It Go.
"I don't go into strangers' houses"... I smell a parallel in the future, it's that alpha stink.
*she squints* TINIDEE APARTMENTS?! Charlie is staying in the same building as Pat and Pran?! (*aaaand there she goes making it about Bad Buddy again*)
OMG what is it with villans and bonsai trees?! (I want a bonsai tree, does that mean I need to become a villainess? 🤔)
Why are they calling that guy 'Uncle'...he looks the same age?!
Okay, that was...not as bad as I first thought. Nut is a big bonus and Pavel and Pooh are doing a decent job. I do wonder if Babe and Charlie are endgame though or if Babe and Way are... Will I keep watching? Probably, now that I've started, but I may not do this each time...unless each ep throws up more questions. Thanks kk.

God's TV- DC x DP prompt
Accidentally summoning a god from another dimension can happen, especially when cults are involved. However, no can could predict that the not only was the god a teenage boy but also a very bored teenage boy who didn't want to leave.
So he stayed and moved into Titans tower.
Danny is helpful (when he wants to be) but rarely goes out on missions. He says they are boring and nothing is dangerous enough to exert the effort. Instead, he minds the medical bay. Having a healer more than made up for the lack of help.
It's not like anyone disliked Danny or thought he didn't do anything it was just that he was unpredictable. Danny could be nice, considerate, and even sweet if he was working in the medbay. He could also be a pain in the ass anywhere else. He loved pranks and scaring people with his powers. He was harmless though.
No one really knew what he did all day. He was usually in his room doing something they guested. Said room was an anomaly. It was larger on the inside having been made into a pocket dimension. The appearance and organization of the room changed every time you went in.
It was after one mission that the team learned what was in the room.
A rogue had used their invention to erase Superboy's memories and they didn't know what to do. They took him to Danny who was currently rearranging the medicine by color. They hoped that his powers covered mind-altering afflictions. Unfortunately, Danny couldn't wave a hand and fix this.
Instead, Danny took the group to his room. The decor was neon Tokyo meets space right now. The furniture was currently floating and almost hitting Wonder Girl in the head with an end table. Of course, there was no gravity here.
"Stay here while I grab it," Danny said flying up the vertical corridor.
While he was gone the room rearranged itself into a contemporary format. The furniture grounded itself and shifted into a normal living room.
Danny returned with a cart and a headset. He placed a card he pulled out of the cart into the headset and put it on the dazed Superboy's head.
"Wait what is that?" Tim asked.
"It's his memories. I kept a backup in case this happened." Danny shrugged.
Immediately everyone began asking what the hell does that mean and why does he have that.
"Oh please, this dimension has this happened all the time. Amnesia is so cliché and cheap. I saw a pattern and decided the easiest way to prevent you from losing the entirety of your lives was to make save states of your memories." Danny said matter of fact.
Robin pinched the bridge of his nose.
Impulse studied the rack of cases and looking for the card with his name on it.
Wondergirl sighed, she was used to this from Robin but even he wouldn't go this far.
"What? It's not like just anyone can find these. Only you can access your own memories anyways. I just decided to repurpose my RE:Viewer." Danny pouted.
"What is a reviewer?" Wally asked flipping through the cases. Each one had titles like moves or shows with an arrangement of stickers.
"The RE:Viewer is something I created to catalog things I've seen looking into other dimensions. I don't have an infinite memory you know. But the longer I have my title the more I'll lose touch with my mortality. These things help me stay close to people by giving me the chance to remember how it feels. I also have been using them to get the stories of others. Keeping their experiences like you'd keep a TV show or movie. So many stories could have been lost to time but now they are saved. I use them to teach myself." Danny smiled.
The concept genuinely sounded interesting. Like experiencing a movie in 4d.
It had been 3 minutes before Kon took off the headset and back to his old self.
Danny pulled the input card out and it disappeared into another realm with a flick of the wrist. Danny was completely honest that the copies were inaccessible to everyone but him.
"You feeling alright Superboy? Your memory should be backed up until a week ago." Danny said shining a light in his eye.
"I'm fine. I think. What happened?" Kon asked batting the light out of his eyes.
"Explanation later. Take a nap first. You aren't concussed at least." Danny informed.
"What are the stickers for?" Wally said pointing at the rainbow of colors the card cases had.
"Just the emotions associated with the experiences. Orange is comedy, red is action, pink is romance, and blue is tragedy." Danny listed. "That one with the pink is one of my favorites. I meddled a bit in that world. Two people who had never met fell in love at two points at different times. One of them was doomed to die but I worked my magic on a mirror that allowed them to meet once. They shared notes left in different places for the other months ahead. Makes you believe in true love. A real tear-jerker."
"What about the black stickers?" Wally asked.
"Don't touch the black ones," Danny said darkly, smacking his hand away. "You don't need to know about those. I don't like thinking about them."
"So you just take the memories of others and put them inside your machine to replay later?" Batgirl asked. "Isn't that kind of wrong?"
"No, I asked permission. I usually pull them aside at some point and ask. If it's my memories (that's the green stickers) I don't need to. The rainbow ones are simulations. Like a video games." Danny responded patting her on the back for not being to hard on him about this admittedly weird situation.
"So what's the black one with the rainbow sticker?" Wally asked picking up the case that was obviously stuffed in the back.
"STOP TOUCHING THOSE!" Danny yelled pulling him away.

Hiii!! Can I make a request? Its kinda long tho so I totally understand if you don't wanna write it !! :)
so basically what I had in mind is rhys' sister!reader x az, she got kidnapped by hybern on the day rhys's mother died and everyone had thought his sister died too but she didn't she was kidnapped and her memories were erased. After the war with hybern the ic runs into her and shes all bloody and injured because turns out she was fighting hybern soldiers as well because she finally saw an opportunity to be free. As soon as rhys saw her he recognises her but before he could even utter a word, she faints, so they take her to night court and nurses her back to health. When she wakes up she gets really emotional when she sees rhys because she feels like she should know him but she doesn't cuz she doesn't have any memories, later they get helion to fix her memories and there's a very emotional brother sister reunion. Az finds out he's her mate but he doesn't tell her and rhys is very protective of reader cuz he just got her back so he forbids az from dating her or anything, but she doesn't know that so she thinks az doesn't like her back so she's devastated over that. I didn't think of what would happen after that so you can come up with the rest but pleeeeeaaasee give az and reader a happy ending. Also can you include that reader had dreams of az the way rhys had dreams of feyre? 🥹
Thank you and I hope you have a good day!! <33
I switched it ever so slightly, hope you’ll still enjoy it!🤍🫧Part II
Lost and found
It’s your hair he sees first. There’s something in the onyx gleam that screams familiar. That is different from any other shade of black. Rhys’s mother always said that they bore all shades of the night sky in their hair. As a gift from the gods. It wasn’t pitch black, no. There was depth. Stars even. They gleamed. You gleamed. He nearly sank to his knees once you turned your bloodied face towards him. It felt as if looking in the mirror. He had pictured you in his head. Had made Feyre paint you. Paint you how he imagined you would have looked all grown up. If you had that chance if you were still with him. His little northern star. And you were here now. In front of him. Sward in hand as if you weren’t sure if you were supposed to stab him or leave him be. Shaking and so frail. Line Feyre was. Just like Rhys had found his mate. Broken and confused. Unsure of anything. Jumpy and scared. “Yn”, it’s a whisper but from the way your body shivers Rhys knows that the name speaks to you. Does his voice speak to you? Do you even remember? “I just want to be free”, you mutter, “Help me get free”. Rhys watches your body sag and his legs move forward before he can even think. Arms reaching for your body. Desperate to break your fall. To save you from this at least in hopes this would somehow make a difference.
Rhys sits by your side from the moment Madja lets him in. She’s doubtful about you waking up soon. Even more doubtful if it’s good for Rhys to be there. And a part of him knows it too but he can’t help it. It’s as if he’s pulled to you. By the need to see you. To know that he hasn’t just imagined you. Your eyes flutter open after a week of nothing but shallow breathing. Your body feels heavy and achy. The walls surrounding you are unfamiliar. But there are no shackles. No ropes. You’re in a big bed. With silk sheets around you. And then your eyes land on a male sitting in the chair. He’s watching you. But watching you as if observing a wild animal that might flee after a move too sudden.
“How are you feeling?”, he speaks up and his voice alone scratches something deep inside your brain. Something you should know. But you don’t. You can’t reach. “I’m Rhys. You’re in my court. You’re safe”, he continues, leaning in slightly, moving to reach for your hand that you quickly pull closer to your chest. You see the hurt flash in his eyes. But it disappears almost immediately. He bares your features. His eyes are your eyes and that’s enough to make your heart pick up. Is he family? A far down-the-line relative?
“You look at me like you know me…”, you mutter, feeling your eyes burn, “but i don’t know you”. Rhys takes a shaky breath and you could swear his hands are trembling. But he smiles regardless, “That’s okay, we have time”. You watch him for a moment, a stranger in front of you. They said that you had no one. There was no one out there for you. “What if I don’t want to know you?”, that’s a blow that leaves a permanent mark on his face, the frown line between his eyebrows. “That’s okay too. I won’t force you”, Rhys’s voice grows shaky, “All you need to know is that you are safe. I and my people will keep you safe. You told me that you wanted to be free. You’re free now”. He stands up quietly. Pushing the chair to the side. You catch a glimpse of a female standing at the door as he moves to leave the room. The door isn’t fully closed when a sob slips past his lips. She embraces him and it’s all muffled by the closed door.
“She’s wiped clean”, Helion’s words send another blow at Rhys’s chest. “There might be bits of her past there but… this will have to be gradual Rhys, if it all was taken from her, getting all the memories back might fry her brain out”, Helion crosses his arms over his chest watching you in one of his gardens. Hand outstretched to one of his Pegasus. He remembered the little girl. Sat on his knee. Mischievous little thing, he had called you. Now it felt like looking at a ghost. “But is there even a slither of hope?”, Rhys asks, desperately trying to cling to the future where you would recognize him. Helion sighed, “Take this advice from me, someone older than you”, turning to face Rhys, whose troubled face had grown ashy over the past month. “Creat memories with her from now. Build her up from nothing and that alone might make her remember” But how could he? How could anyone just wipe out the grief and terror? The feeling of losing someone and then finding them back once more.
Azriel had sunk to his knees in the room you had laid unconscious for a week. He knew you were mates even then. Both young and careless. He remembered your first kiss. Rushed and messy in one of Rhys’s father’s stables. You had pulled him out. Had been his haven ever since your mother had taken both him and Cass in. Losing you had messed with his head. He had mourned you just the same. Had closed off his heart for anyone. Meaningless fling got easier with time but he still caught himself thinking of you. Calling out your name. Leaving the females snarling at him.
Azriel thought that glimpses of cells. Of you locked up. Scared and crying were nothing but a fickle of imagination. He saw you drawing night skies. He saw you kill. But now he knew that it had been your unconsciousness calling to him. Zaps of bond binding you both connecting momentarily. He hated himself. He hated that he did nothing. That he had let go. Had given up. But they had found the body. Berried someone. Someone who wasn’t you. Azriel only visited once. That one time and then he erased himself out of the equation. Because maybe it was better that way. Because he wasn’t worthy of your love. He couldn’t protect you after all.
Rhys was happy with that choice too. It was petty but he didn’t want to share you with anyone. Not that he had you. Any part of you. Because nothing changed. He talked. Told you stories but you just shook your head. You didn’t know him. You didn’t trust him. And nothing he did made any breakthrough.
It was the night Azriel had accidentally walked into the study where you and Rhys were. Ready to drop off the reports he had written for the week’s work. His black shirt is slightly unbuttoned. Sleeves rolled up. Your eyes had drifted away from the painting towards the man standing in the hallway. Man your eyes always seemed to find. Man who had been avoiding you ever since you got here. It painted you slightly. It was the only person you seemed to want to reach but he was the only one keeping the furthest away.
Your eyes landed on his arms. The dim light dancing on the black ink snaking up his left arm. The book you held slipped past your fingers. Clattering to the floor with a thud. “Y/n, dear, is everything alright?”, Rhys was in front of you in an instant. Worried face searching yours. “Your left shoulder”, you muttered, pointing at Azriel. He halted in his movement. The handful of papers stuck midair. “Show me your left shoulder”, you muttered.
Azriel’s eyes looked up at you, “What for?”, it was colder. He was protecting whatever was there. Holding onto the last part of you he had. You stepped past Rhys. “I know that… pattern”, you muttered. “It’s old Illyrian”, Rhys cut in but Azriel only lifted his hand. “Please, I…”, the fuzziness around you ripped as you reached for your dress, yanking the sleeve off, bearing your shoulders to Azriel. His jaw clenched, as he looked away for a moment. And then he ripped his shirt open. And there it was. The same pattern all across his shoulder as well.
Taking a shaky breath you let your head fall into your hands, “You chose it…” A light sob slipped past Azriel’s lips, “I did”, he nodded watching you. “Because you were a bitch about it”, turning to Rhys you pointed a finger at him. “You matted my baby sister behind my back?”, Rhys hissed, the jumble of emotions was making everyone drown. “Mom knew about it, she approved”, you whispered, “Where’s Mom?” Your eyes looked up at Rhys. He slowly shook his head. Another wave of flashes floats through you. You reached back in a frantic breath, “Where are my wings?” An angry tear slipped down Rhys’s face. “Where are they? Where is she?”, you looked among them. Feeling panic slowly drowning you. “Come here”, Azriel pulled at your head, bringing your face to his chest. “No, don’t smother me”, you pushed against him, but Azriel held on tight, holding your shaking form, feeling the burning gaze of his high lord, “I’ve got you. It will settle. Just breathe with me”.

TOKYOREV BOYS WHEN YOU CALL THEM BY THEIR FIRST NAME FOR THE FIRST TIME p.2
Tumblr media
CHARACTER(S): Rindou . Mitsuya . Sanzu . Mikey WARNING/S: Suggestive content at Rindous' and Sanzus' part P.1 Ran . Hanma . Baji . Kisaki a/n: Due to popular demand, heres the part 2
Tumblr media
Rindou Haitani
Rindou doesn't mind that you're calling him by his last name, except for Ran everyone had called him Haitani or the younger Haitani for as long as he can remember. though it would be nice for you to call him by his name, he doesn't want to force you.
He did inform you that you have the privilege to call him by his given name whenever you want and it had always been stuck in your mind. but finding the right timing to call him by his given name was harder than you thought until it just slips your mouth one day in a middle of an intimate moment between you and Rindou.
With his head buried between your nape and neck, showering your skin with kisses your lips barely parted and mumbled his name.
"Rindou…" it doesn't even register in your head at first what you mumbled until he completely freezes and slightly lifted his head to look into your face, wondering if his mind was playing tricks with him.
"what's the matter?" you asked with the same tone and softness in your voice, immediately erasing all his doubts about hearing his name.
"Say it again, I wasn't ready for the first time" he mumbled, you were confused at first, not until you saw the look of anticipation within his eyes. a warmth spreading within your chest as you can't help the corners of your lips from smiling.
"I love you, Rindou"
upon hearing his name leave your lips he lets out a shaky breath before dropping his head on your shoulder, the tips of his ears are red as his heart beats strongly. how could a single word like his name sound so perfect in your voice. if you can make him feel like this with his name, he wonders how perfect would it be if you call him cute nicknames. but he'll worry about that later, for now, he wants to savor this moment as he made you let out his name throughout the night.
Tumblr media
Takashi Mitsuya
"Sometimes Hakkai feels more like Mitsuya's lover than you" It was meant to be a joke by Draken but thinking deeper about it, it really seems like Hakkai was his lover.
They spend almost the whole day together, they see each other every night, Hakkai has Mitsuya as his wallpaper and Hakkai calls Mistuya not just by his given name but also by a nickname.
you knew they had known each other longer than you two but you were the significant other, you're supposed to be calling him cute nicknames like all the other couples. so you spend the whole night thinking of nicknames to call him. even proud of some of the nicknames you come up with.
but as soon as you're in front of Mitsuya, all the nicknames you come up with was forgotten as you only simply called him by his given name.
"Takashi" you called him confidently but your shoulders immediately drops in disappointment and pouted your lips, upon realizing that all the effort you put in the night before was wasted.
It took Mitsuya a few seconds to process what you said, never would he had imagine this was what you were going to say after coming up to him earlier and saying you had a very important thing to say.
"Finally" Mitsuya can't help but chuckle as he placed his hand on top of your head and ruffle your hair. he won't lie that it bothered him when you called him by his last name considering how long you two had been going out.
It wasn't magical as they say in books but the unknown tightness in his chest slowly loosened and was only filled with more love for you.
"But why do you look so disappointed? does saying my name that bad?" he teased upon noticing your pouting lips.
"Of course not, it's just that I came up with all these cute and sweet nicknames but I panic and ended up just saying your name"
if only Mitsuya can fall even harder for you. as if taking your worries with him, he gently took your hands in his. "Don't worry I have plenty of time to listen to all of them"
"But really, I thought I'll never hear you say it, It'll be confusing if we're both called Mitsuya in the future won't it?"
Tumblr media
Haruchiyo Sanzu
Lately, Sanzu had been bugging you about calling him by his given name, stating that couples should be comfortable enough to call each other by their first names. a logical claim coming from him.
and when you did not call him by his name right away, he made it known that he was quite upset, making you feel guilty, maybe it is the right time.
"San- Haruchiyo…" you quietly let out as if testing the name for the first time when in truth, you had already practiced his name countless times but saying it in front of him feels different.
Sanzu definitely heard it but pretends he didn't hear you the first time. he stood in front of you, one hand placed on his waist as he looks down at you with a glint in his eyes, trying to look like the part where he was upset with you when in truth he can never be upset with you.
“Did you say something?” he asked, already smiling a bit upon hearing his name from you but refraining himself from showing.' just a little more he thought.
you bit your lip, cheeks burning red as you stood your ground and proudly spoke, "I said do you have plans later?…" but confidence left your voice as your voice wavers, "…Haruchiyo"
“Can you say that a little louder?”
"Haru-" he didn't even let you finish saying his name as he straight up pressed his lips on yours, even sucking your lower lips while his hands cupped your face. Sanzu doesn't think he can hear his name 3 times consecutively when you were looking all bashful and cute and red in front of him. all his plans to tease you a little bit more were thrown out the window as soon as his name left your lips again.
"Haruchiyo is kinda long to pronounce, I don't want to wait that long to kiss you. Haru is perfect"
Tumblr media
Manjiro Sano
You stared at Mikey from a distance as he converse with Chifuyu, you were Deep in thought ever since Baji teased you about Mikey having selective hearing when it comes to you. the conversation ended with you teasing him back that he even knew what selective hearing is.
but Baji's statement and you quote that 'If Mikey is the middle of a serious fight and you so much let out a quiet grunt, Mikey will definitely hear you', had stayed in your mind and today you decided to try it out.
"Man.ji.ro." you mumbled playfully, not loud enough for him to hear but not so quiet that a human ear can't hear.
and to your surprise, Mikey immediately perks up, head snapping back at you as if he had just heard something unbelievable, staring at you meaningfully, blinking once and twice before smiling so brightly.
he quickly bid goodbye to Chifuyu and ran towards you and planted himself in front of you, he was smiling so brightly that he look as if he had grown dog ears.
"How did you hear that?" you asked in amazement as soon as he stood in front of you, as you peeked passed him to look at his previous spot.
"Did you think I will miss it when you finally said my name?" he giggled, and for a moment you thought you saw a tail wagging behind him.
Mikey thought nothing would some more perfect coming from you when you called him 'Mikey' as everyone else does. but the newfound excitement and joy he felt upon hearing you say his given name, can't compare to the joy he felt before.
"Say it again, properly this time" he demanded, and who were you to deny him that satisfaction when he look so happy and bright, waiting in anticipation for you to say his given name and not just the usual nickname the others call him.
"Manjiro" you chuckled and there it was again, that skip on his heart that he'll definitely be addicted to. though he prefers to be called by his nickname, it's not bad to be called by his given name every once in a while.

Daddy’s Girl
Dean Winchester & daughter!reader
Synopsis: your life growing up as Dean’s daughter (ignores cannon)
Tumblr media
You were born of Dean’s short-lived relationship with Lisa. When he was forced to leave his family behind to keep them safe, he was also forced to take you with him. He’d wanted to leave you, to keep you safe, but with Lisa and Ben’s memories wiped of him, you got wiped with him.
“I’m sorry,” Castiel said as Dean held you in his arms. “There’s no way to erase you without erasing her, too.”
Despite how much Dean wanted to keep you safe, he couldn’t find it in himself to regret how things turned out.
Sam pursed his lips, and Dean couldn’t hold back his laugh when he spotted his brother covered in broccoli.
You started giggling when you noticed your father’s smile, but Dean clamped his mouth shut when he saw you laughing.
“Hey now,” he scolded, trying desperately to look stern despite still being able to see the broccoli in Sam’s hair. “Don’t throw food.”
“Is yucky!” You whined, kicking your feet.
Dean gave you his signature ‘dad glare’ and you gave him the puppy eyes that he was convinced Sammy taught you just to drive him nuts.
Neither of you were willing to give in, far too stubborn for anyone’s good. Finally, Sam broke the awkward silence.
“How about we try a new veggie?”
“What are you watching?”
Dean tore his eyes away from the screen to see Sam standing in the doorway.
“Saw, why?”
Sam scoffed, “Do you think she’s old enough for that?” He gestured to five-year-old you, curled up in your dad’s arms.
“She’s out like a light, she has no clue what’s going on,” Dean assured him.
“So what, she’s your new stuffed animal?” Sam chuckled.
“It’s called parenting, Sammy. Now shut up, you’re gonna wake her up.”
“Daddy, look!”
Dean rubbed his hands over his face, closing the lore book in front of him when you came bounding into the war room.
“Hey baby, what’s up?” He asked, his voice thick with exhaustion as he lifted you into his lap.
“I maked the Impala,” you grinned, showing off a pencil sketch of Baby colored in with a black crayon. “Uncle Sammy only helped a little.”
Dean could tell from the detail of the drawing that Sam helped more than a little, but he didn’t care.
“This is great!” He praised. “Baby would be so proud, looks almost as good as her.”
You giggled. “Can I hang it on the fridge?”
“I think it’d be a crime if we didn’t,” Dean insisted, standing up with you in his arms so he could carry you to the kitchen.
“Dad!”
Dean staggered back in surprise when ten-year-old you launched yourself into his arms the moment he stepped into the bunker.
“Hey kid,” he chuckled, but his smile dropped when he noticed your strangled breaths, and how tightly you were clinging to him. “You ok? We weren’t gone that lon-“
“Someone’s in the bunker,” you whispered, and Dean now also noticed that you were shaking.
“What?” He demanded, lowering you to the ground and grabbing his gun with one hand, keeping his other hand on your shoulder protectively.
“I-I heard footsteps,” you stammered, still trying to catch your breath. “So I ran, and-and I was looking for a place to hide when you opened the door.”
“You’re sure it was footsteps?”
“I know what I heard!” Your stammer left you when your fear turned to annoyance.
“Ok, ok,” Dean soothed. “I believe you. Now, I want you to go and hide in my room, ok? Stay there, and don’t open the door unless it’s me, understand?”
“B-but…” you glanced around nervously, unwilling to let go of your father.
“I need you to do this,” Dean said. “I need you safe, ok? You’re gonna be fine.”
You nodded, but Dean’s jacket was still clenched between your fingers.
“C’mon now, go!” Dean gave your arm a gentle push, and as soon as the two of you were no longer touching you seemed spurned into action. You ran in the other direction, headed straight for your dad’s room.
Once the door was closed and locked behind you, you immediately went to sit on Dean’s bed, your arms wrapped around your knees as you tried hard to stop your trembling.
You assured yourself over and over again that your dad would take care of it; he’d get the intruder out, and it would all be ok. When you heard footsteps echoing through the hall, your heart lifted, sure that your dad was coming to get you.
But then the doorknob jiggled as someone tried to open it. It stopped, but still no knock came, no “hey, it’s me,” from Dean; nothing.
Until with a loud bang! the door flew free of its hinges.
You scrambled back with a cry of surprise, and your hand found something hard under Dean’s pillow. You snatched it up as the intruder—a tall man with blond hair and a dark suit—stalked towards you.
You lifted the object, surprised when you saw that it was Dean’s gun.
“St-stay back!” You warned. The man hesitated for only a second before continuing his advance towards you.
“You don’t have the guts,” he scoffed. He took one more step—he was only a couple of feet away—and reached out to grab you.
The gun kicked back in your hands as you fired, and you nearly dropped it. A look of morbid shock crossed the man’s face, but it only lasted for a brief second as he slumped to the ground at the side of Dean’s bed.
Your whole body was shaking. Your hands didn’t seem able to let go of the gun. You could feel blood on your face where it had splattered.
“Sweetheart?”
Your whole body flinched at the sound of your father’s voice. He was in the center of the room—you hadn’t even noticed him come in—and his hands were held out towards you.
“Sweetheart, give me the gun.”
Your hands went limp when Dean grabbed the gun. He tossed it onto his bed, his attention never leaving your face, which was turned towards the dead man on the floor.
“Hey, Y/N, look at me,” Dean demanded. Your eyes slowly found your father’s, afraid of what you might find there. But there was no anger, or judgment, not even surprise. There was only comfort, maybe a little worry.
“Let’s go,” Dean said, lifting you into his arms. When he saw you staring at the dead man, he cradled the back of your head in his hand and pushed your face against his shoulder as he carried you out of the room.
“I killed him.”
Your voice came out muffled against Dean’s shirt, and Dean’s heart constricted at the quaver in your voice.
“You didn’t do anything wrong,” he soothed, subconsciously rocking you in his arms like he used to do when you could barely crawl. “He was gonna hurt you, you defended yourself. You did nothing wrong.” Dean sighed. “I’m so sorry I wasn’t there. I didn’t want you to have to do that.”
“I killed somebody,” you said again, and Dean’s arms tightened around you. He knew he couldn’t talk you out of this; not yet, you were still in shock. So he’d do the only thing he could.
“It’s gonna be ok, baby,” he soothed. “I promise.”
“Where is that girl?”
“You lookin for Y/N?” Sam asked as Dean wandered around the bunker.
“Unless we’ve got another girl living here I don’t know about,” Dean shot back.
Sam just rolled his eyes.
“She’s in the library doing homework.”
“Again?” Dean shook his head. “I think I’ve let her spend too much time with you, she’s becoming quite the nerd.”
“Don’t look at me,” Sam chuckled. “I told her to take a break like an hour ago. That nerdy behavior is all her.”
“Alright, let’s go,” Dean closed the book in front of Sam. “You both need a break.”
“Ok,” Sam shrugged. “Good luck, she’s just as stubborn as you.”
“We’ll see.”
“Hey!” You yelped in surprise when your dad lifted you up and out of your chair, Sam watching from the doorway with a grin on his face.
“No more books, you two have spent too much time being nerds this week.”
“But I have a paper to write!”
“You mean that paper you told me is due in three weeks?”
“Well…”
“Uh huh,” Dean said. “You’ve got time, so take a break.”
“On one condition; we watch Lord of the Rings.”
“Sounds good to me,” Sam cut in.
“Oh come on,” Dean groaned. “Could you two be bigger nerds?”
“Don’t pretend that you don’t want to watch it,” you giggled, trying to squirm out of Dean’s hold since he still hadn’t put you down.
“I don’t remember asking for your input,” Dean huffed, setting you down on your bed and digging his fingers into your stomach. You squealed in surprise as your dad tickled you. “And I certainly didn’t ask for your sass!”
“Who-who do you thin-think taught it to me!” You giggled, squirming as Dean didn’t let up.
“Hey now!” Dean scoffed. “Now you’re just asking for it.”
Dean continued to scratch and poke at your sides, your stomach, and your neck until your face was bright red and your laughter was silent.
“Alright, let’s go,” Dean said as he let up, slinging you over his shoulder and making his way towards the Dean cave, Sam following behind.
“Yo-hou’re mean,” you giggled.
Dean just chuckled.
“Love you too, sweetheart.”

GYM (STAFF) CRUSH + RORONOA ZORO
getting a part-time job at your local gym during the summer sounded like a good idea. the guy you've been eyeing for months thought the same thing.
info: my submission to the help wanted! collab hosted by the @interstellar-inn!! its been sum time since i last wrote sum this big sob. wc 1.5k — warnings: gym talk, a gym goer is a bit of an weirdo towards reader, swearing || ko-fi
Tumblr media
if you focused enough, you could see the heat waves coming from the asphalt outside. the sun seemed unbearable—you felt bad for the people that left their cars in the parking lot—, but the air conditioner hitting you right in the back of your neck ensured you were comfortable. as you were typing away in the reception computer, pretending to do the spreadsheet the manager asked you to fill (before she simply left, the surfboard on top of her car a good clue to where she went), you lost yourself in the song playing on the loud speakers.
fortunately, you managed to put your playlist on that day. All the songs playing not only were the ones you listened to while working out, but also were your favorites to daydream with too. while you were softly dancing and shaking your head to the beats, you didn’t notice one of your coworkers approaching you.
the burly man rested his forearms against the counter, his gray eyes started to watch your movements and one of his eyebrows raised. you finally turned around, you wanted to get some documents to actually submit something to the spreadsheet, and jumped back, one of your hands coming to rest against your chest. your eyes locked into his cold ones, your cheeks immediately heating up. his eyes narrowed for a split second; if you weren’t staring at his face, that would’ve escaped you.
“dude! you scared me!” you took a deep breath, trying to ignore the heavy gaze staring at you.
“sorry,” he muttered, his deep voice making it sound almost like a growl. he placed a clipboard in front of you, the title ‘storage’ making you hum softly. “the inventory and stuff we need to buy.”
you nodded, thanking him quietly and smiling at him. the man didn’t smile back. he never did, anyway. he nodded and turned around, walking back inside the gym and leaving you with your inner turmoil. as you sighed loudly and turned to the computer again, you tried to focus on the work.
getting a summer job wasn’t a bad idea. as a college student, you could use some extra money for emergencies—even if you knew you would end up spending it anyway, it was still extra money. your local gym had some job openings and you, someone who went there everyday, thought it was a good idea to send an application. it was indeed a good idea, the job was easy, you could stay in a cool environment while the heat outside seemed to cook you alive, plus it paid you enough. the only problem was that he had the same idea.
roronoa zoro was your gym crush for a while. you were convinced he was everyone’s gym crush, though. throughout the couple of months since the first time you saw him—you still remember how your eyes widened seeing his broad back flexing during pull ups—, you noticed that you both went to the gym at the same time and, fortunately, sometimes your workout would match his. the longest interaction you two had, before starting to work together, was him asking if you were done with using a specific bench. you murmured a quick and embarrassed ‘yes’, almost tripping over your own feet in the process, and he just nodded, taking your place in the bench as you walked to your next exercise.
you thought that having to see you almost everyday would make him open up, but the green haired man always kept you at arms length, never letting you past the ‘we are coworkers’ wall. you sighed once again, frowning slightly and erasing another random line of letters you typed to look busy. a small cough and an ‘excuse me’ took your attention from the screen, from your thoughts as well, and you turned around, hoping to see zoro standing there. unfortunately, it was one of the guys that always caused some kind of trouble around the gym—your manager didn’t really care enough to kick him out or even give him a warning.
you put on your best customer service smile and blinked sweetly at him. “yes, sir? how may i help you?” you said, trying to not sound like you wanted him gone… which you did.
“can you change the music or something?” he said, placing his hands on the counter and leaning towards you, almost as if he was trying to intimidate you. you raised your eyebrows at his behavior and he carried on, not caring about your reaction. “i forgot my headphones, so i have to listen to what you guys play.”
the smile on your face faltered for a second. the urge to just tell him off, say that him forgetting his headphone wasn't your problem, overwhelmed you quickly; biting your tongue, you answered:
“unfortunately, there's nothing we can do. the playlist is selected by the staff and—”
“you're staff, you can change it then.” he cut you off and smirked, making you almost roll your eyes. “c'mon, this playlist fucking sucks. anything will be better.”
before any other word could escape his crusty lips, a voice you grew used to interjected into the conversation. “i like this playlist.”
you both turned to look at zoro and you bit your lower lip to hide a smile. your coworker was looking terrifying; his arms were crossed, his biceps and shoulders seemed like they were about to burst open the black sleeve of his shirt, and the absolute angry gaze he shot at the man—who was now cowering a little—made you almost feel bad for him.
“is there any problem, sir?” you placed a hand over your mouth, trying to hide your giggle in a subtle way. if you looked at zoro, you would see how the corner of his lips curve up for a moment.
the guy shook his head and put his hands up, slowly backing away from the counter and leaving through the front door. as soon as he left, you allowed a soft chuckle to escape your lips. before you could thank zoro, or call the other guy an asshole, the man in front of you murmured loud enough for you to hear:
“fuckin’ asshole.” he turned to look at you. a deep breath made his chest wave up and down, your eyes flicking from that movement back to his eyes. “you good?”
you nodded. the muscles on his jaw flexed and roronoa opened his lips slightly, as if he was about to say something, but he closed them again. you wish you could be inside his mind, the curiosity of what he wanted to say made you lean forward; you hoped it would make him want to say.
instead, he uncrossed his arms and rubbed the back of his head. “i will be in the back.”
you felt a little bit…disappointed. you hoped he would stay there and talk to you a little more. the situation you just went through was shitty, but it made him stand up for you. you wanted him to stay there, to use the situation as an excuse to be with you for the rest of your shift, but you just nodded.
“i— your buzz cut looks nice.” you blurted out of nowhere, making you want to slap yourself in the face. you prayed he wouldn't notice your embarrassment.
if he did, he didn't mention it. he just chuckled, a deep and husky sound that almost made you giggle again, and growled a ‘thanks’.
as you tried to settle back into your work, you couldn't shake off the small feeling that settled in the pit of your stomach. it wasn't necessarily bad, it just…annoyed you. having the man as your gym crush was already annoying, how would you work with him if you had a real crush? you felt your face heating up even more, but you were pulled away from your thoughts by zoro himself; not even five minutes after he left, he came back to the reception.
“actually…” he started, his eyebrows furrowing. “do you want to work out with me tomorrow?”
the way your eyes widened gave out your surprise, but you quickly answered. “su— sure!” you licked your lips—you were obvious to the way he followed the movement with his eyes and licked his own lips—and sighed. “but the manager did say that thing about ‘no workplace relationships’... not that this would be a relationship, i mean—”
“fuck the manager.” he growled, shutting you instantly. you smiled with joy at his audacity, you wanted to say the same out loud for a while. “see you at the same hour tomorrow, then?”
you nodded. “yeah. same hour.”
he nodded too and walked away, this time a big smirk—it was your first time seeing anything like that—stamped on his face. you scoffed. did you seriously let him defend you and be the one to take the first step?
well…at least that gave you a push to be the one to initiate a kiss.

It hadn't been long since you had gone through the trials to become a Jedi Knight. With the war in full swing, there was a need for knights more than ever, so while you didn't feel ready, you were able to pass.
You were given your first assignment almost immediately following your appointment. You were to accompany a squad of clones on their missions.
It was easier than being assigned to an entire battalion, but when you heard some of the other clones' comments about the squad you were assigned to, you began to feel anxious.
Clone Force 99 had a reputation of not following the rules and doing things their own way. They weren't like the clones you had gotten to know during your time as a padawan, and that intimidated you – not that you'd let anyone know.
On the day you were meant to meet them, you stood in wait on the landing platform in front of the Jedi temple. They were late. You sighed to yourself and did everything you could to avoid pacing. In fact, you could almost hear your former master's voice echoing in your head, telling you to be patient.
Finally, you saw their ship approach. It landed on the platform rather harshly but by now you were just ready to meet them, rather than criticize their flying ability.
When the four of them disembarked their ship, you had to do a double take. Not only did their reputation define them as unlike most clones, but so did their appearance.
You looked at each of them from right to left, starting at the tallest one.
"You must be the new general!" He said, his voice echoing across the platform.
"Oh no, I'm no general, just a jedi," you corrected. "What can I call you?"
He grinned, "Wrecker."
"Nice to meet you, Wrecker." You told him, then looked at the next one, the one with a tattoo covering half of his face.
"Hunter." He informed you before you could ask. "What should we call you? If you're not a general."
"You can call me by my name." You told him before providing them your name.
The next clone looked down at you with a sour expression on his face. A crosshair tattoo adorned his right eye, and a toothpick was slotted between his lips.
"And you are?" You asked.
"Crosshair."
He said nothing else, instead just stared at you before your attention shifted to the final clone.
"I'm Tech." He said before you could ask, adjusting the goggles he wore.
Your gaze lingered on him longer than you had intended, before you looked away, growing embarrassed.
It wasn't like you to be bashful, and yet looking at Tech seemed to erase any confidence you had. You didn't speak; all you could do was give him a small smile and a nod before Hunter spoke up again.
"Now that we've been introduced, I'm sure that you have questions."
"I've heard reports about your squad, how much of it is true?"
"Hah! All of it, I bet!" Wrecker said, a bit too enthusiastically.
"Depends on what you've heard." Hunter added.
"I have read the reports that come through regarding our squad. Most of them are accurate," Tech began, then held up his datapad to gesture to the reports he had available. "However, some disciplinary reports come through with slight embellishments. We do not start every fight."
"Usually finish them, though." Crosshair adds in with a shrug.
"Despite the reports, you will face no difficulty to fulfill your duties, and we will ensure your safety remains a priority."
You smiled at Tech's reassuring tone, and soon the others started boarding the ship once again.
"If that was your only question, c'mon up, we'll give you the tour." Hunter offered as he walked up the ramp. You followed after him with Tech following behind you.
– – –
Your first night in the Marauder was strange, and unfortunately, sleepless.
You could never fall asleep comfortably in a new place. You had this problem as long as you could remember. It was a hindrance on all the planets you visited with your master as a padawan, he had tried to teach you meditation techniques to help with insomnia, and you used them, but the unknown always kept you awake.
You used to joke about how it was residual anxiety from when you were first brought to the temple as a toddler, but the council was not very pleased when they heard that joke.
After giving up on your meditation, you decided to roam the ship silently. You exited your bunk and walked through the empty corridor, now much more quiet than it had been when you were first shown around. The only sound that could be heard was the hum of the engine and the muffled snores of one of the clones.
You walked toward the cockpit and the door wooshed open, revealing that you were not the only one still awake.
Tech turned around in the pilot's chair to see who was there, and he raised an eyebrow when he noticed it was you.
"It is late, you should be asleep." He chided.
"What about you?" You countered.
"I am often awake much later than the others, this is the best time to focus on any tasks I need to complete."
It sounded like he was hinting that he'd prefer to be alone right now, so you turned back toward the door.
"You do not have to leave, if you do not wish to."
You looked over your shoulder. "I thought you wanted silence?"
"Yes, however you are much more quiet than my brothers. You are welcome to stay."
A smile tugged at your lips, and you crossed the cockpit, sitting down in the co-pilot seat next to him. He was typing into his datapad, and there were open crates next to him.
"Inventory." He explained, noticing you raising your eyebrow. "I am just about finished."
After a few moments, he turned and closed the crate before standing up to put it back where it belonged.
When he sat back down in the chair, he swivelled the chair to face you.
"So, why are you still awake?"
You shrugged, "I've always had a hard time sleeping in new locations."
"Is that not difficult considering you are a jedi?"
"Only when I go to new planets. It's not like I never sleep, I'm just most comfortable with places I know."
"I suppose that makes sense. Eventually, you will get accustomed to the ship."
He turned back toward the console and began to tinker with some of the panels, unscrewing the plates and fixing the wiring beneath them.
You watched him as he worked. Your eyes trailing from his hands delicately holding the tools he needed, toward his arms; his armor had been discarded so you could see the way that his undersuit wrapped around his muscles– he looked much stronger without his armor, and eventually up to his face; his look of concentration behind the goggles he wore, his lips pressed in a firm line.
You were mesmerized watching him work. There was something about him that was so inviting and comforting. You wanted to get to know him better, but you weren't sure how that would be possible.
As you continued to watch him, you didn't notice yourself beginning to drift off to sleep in the co-pilot chair. The engine humming and the quiet whir of the hydrospanner must have lulled you into a place of comfort. Tech glanced over at you once, noticing your arm perched on the armrest, holding your face in your hand, your eyes closed, and your breathing steady.
He quietly said your name, checking if you had really fallen asleep, and when you didn't answer, he smiled slightly to himself before standing up. He gently scooped you into his arms and brought you back to your bunk.
– – –
Late nights spent with Tech had slowly become the norm during your time with Clone Force 99.
Even after you had gotten used to life on the Marauder, it had just become a habit to sit with Tech as he worked long after his brothers had gone to sleep.
Tech didn't question it, he seemed to enjoy being able to ramble on about his latest projects, even if he had to take a break from them on several occasions to bring you to your bed after you had fallen asleep in the chair next to him.
One evening, you had left your bunk and stopped at the caf machine before making your way to the cockpit.
You left a mug in front of Tech before sitting down next to him with yours in hand.
"Oh, thank you." He said, reaching out and eagerly sipping the hot beverage. He glanced over to you, noticing the mug in your hand. "You do not wish to be carried back to your bunk this evening?"
You felt your face heat up slightly. You were mortified when he told you about that, and the fact that it had happened multiple times, and it had never become less embarrassing. His teasing tone did not do well to ease your embarrassment.
"Really, I do not mind," He said, a smirk tugging at his lips.
You shook your head and took a drink from your cup without answering him.
Silence soon overtook the room. You looked out the viewport, watching the stars as they passed, and Tech continued drilling into a panel, fixing something that likely wasn't even malfunctioning to begin with.
He said your name, pulling you from your thoughts, and when you looked over at him, his focus remained with what he was working on.
"I have been wondering. Are you still uncomfortable being here?"
"What do you mean?"
"You had told me that you had trouble sleeping until you were comfortable, and you still spend most nights out here despite the time in which you have spent with us." He looked over at you now. His expression was new to you. His normal confident demeanor had seemed almost sad. There was something in his eyes that you couldn't quite place. "If you are not comfortable, you can request a transfer. None of us would be offended."
You offered him a reassuring smile. "I don't want to transfer, Tech. I'm comfortable here."
His eyebrows furrowed slightly. "You are?"
"Of course. Why do you think I fall asleep so easily out here? You make me feel comfortable and safe."
His head snapped back to what he was tinkering with, trying to hide his flushed face from you.
After a moment, he spoke again. "I see. I am glad for that, then. It would have been... regrettable if you had chose to leave."
You raised an eyebrow. "Why is that?"
His jaw clenched slightly. You could feel the tension as soon as you asked, but eventually, he sighed.
"I just meant that I would feel responsible if, after all this time, we did not make you feel welcome." His tone was resigned, and you knew there was something hiding behind it.
Part of you had hoped that what he was hiding was in line with what you had felt since the first time you had met him, and you figured now was as good a time as any to finally talk about it.
"Tech." You began. You could feel your heart pounding in your chest, but you did all you could yo avoid focusing on your anxieties. "I don't think either of us are very good at this, if I had to take a guess. But I... Enjoy spending time with you, I have ever since the first night I spent here. I would not choose to leave the squad, I wouldn't choose to leave you."
He stared at you wide-eyed. This may be the only time that you'd see Tech completely speechless.
In his silence, you stood from your chair, setting your mug down on the console and quietly stepping toward him.
You reached out a hand, gently resting it on his cheek and tilting his head up to look at you before you moved in and kissed him softly.
His hands hesitated before one of them held your free hand, squeezing it gently as he deepened the kiss.
You smirked at him. "Maybe it's a good thing that I was placed with your squad then. You don't follow rules either."
Before long, he broke the kiss but stared up at you, finally speaking, "I did not know you felt as such. I thought that the jedi had... rules to follow, that they could not..."

[Daddies in December] Haitani Ran
Out of all the Ran stories I've read, he is nothing like what I picture. So fair warning, my vision of Ran might be vulnerable, a little dirty, but hot as hell. This is super long, I spent all day yesterday and most of today on this.
Warning: angst, fluff & smut.
.
Haitani Ran knew he was a man of many things but being a father was not one of them.
His lifestyle did not have room for fatherhood.
No matter how many ways he looked at it, it would never work out.
It was in the best interest of him and Y/n to go their way regardless of Y/n’s protest of having hoped to make it work.
It will just not work.
She was never meant to mean something to him, let alone a child they both created by accident.
He could not deny the tiny joy he felt burning when he discovered her pregnancy but had to put out the flame immediately.
After ignoring calls and visits, Ran was left with the last resort.
It was in the heat of the moment when Y/n appeared at his club unexpectedly. Ran could see the shock in her eyes from across the room and he took the opportunity to whisper something into the woman beside him. She excitedly turned to him and he reached for her face, pressing his mouth to hers in a heated kiss.
It disgusted him to the core and the longest three seconds of his life. He pulled away and turned his heels, pulling the woman by her hand, and disappeared into the VIP hallway.
That was Y/n’s last straw.
Her calls and visits ceased.
No one and nothing would prepare him for a broken heart.
He was Haitani Ran, he had been shot at, stabbed, and beaten to almost death.
But the pain of Y/n erasing herself out of his life hurt more than all those things combined.
All he had left now was the memories they had in the past.
.
He felt no pain as his knuckles were busted and bloody from repeatedly plugging into the lifeless body he held by the collar.
He was just about to throw another blow when the man was saved by the ringing of the phone.
Releasing the man, Ran picked up his phone. “What?” he barked.
“She’s in labor.”
.
His thumb swiped over the image on his screen of the chubby sleeping infant.
A girl.
He was a father to a baby girl.
It took everything in him not to rush to the hospital she was at and burst into the room to pull them both into his arms.
Even though neither of them had spoken in months, Ran ensured she was taken care of from afar. It pissed him off that the money he sent her went untouched and knew Y/n purposedly refuses to use it to irk him.
The one thing she could not prevent him from doing was the man he hired to protect her and reporting back to him with her every move.
She had an ultrasound appointment today at 2:30. Results show that the gender of the baby is a girl.
At approximately 12:45 AM, she left for the nearest open convenience store and purchased a variety of snacks and junk food.
She had a breakdown watching Sailor Moon.
Ran flipped through the many photos he received from K. He didn’t know how the man was able to take some photos up close and as if he was there in person but he didn’t question the man’s skill. Ran paid him well and he expected nothing but the best.
He was still waiting to hear back from K about what Y/n had named his daughter.
His daughter.
Chuckling like a maniac, he reprimanded himself. What right did he have to claim her as his daughter when he abandoned them?
Ran quickly sat up and ignored the annoying voice in his head when he saw the three dots appear by K’s name.
K: she named your daughter Fuyumi. She has her mother’s last name.
Ran gave his message a thumbs up, acknowledging his message.
Why had he expected that Y/n would give their child his last name?
Reaching for his cigarettes, he was about to light one when he froze, remembering he quit because… he had not wanted to give his child and Y/n second-hand smoke.
Even if he was nowhere near them.
Grabbing the pack of cigarettes and lighter, he tossed it into the garbage.
Leaning back against his couch, he is once again, drowning in his own doing.
Mikey and Rindou have scolded him for making such a pathetic decision to end their relationship. He would never admit that hearing Mikey saying that he would never give up his woman regardless of his lifestyle.
But the damage was already done.
His phone dinged with another message.
Reaching over, he frowned when the notification was from K again, this time of an image.
He tapped on the image, waiting for it to load.
Ran sat up quickly, zooming in on the picture. His eyes scanned the document repeatedly.
For the first time, his heart warmed.
On the official documents of his daughter’s birth certificate, her middle name is listed as Haitani.
He didn’t realize he was smiling like a fool as he pressed down on the image with his thumb and hearted the photo.
.
His daughter was a splitting image of her mother and Ran thanked the Gods for it. The two things she inherited from him are his distinctive violet-hue eyes and blond hair. In some photos K sent her eyes sometimes changed, showing that she also inherited her mother’s blue eyes, sometimes a mixture of blue-violet.
Tapping the screen, he saved all these photos, adding them to the designated folder he created for his daughter.
His phone dinged and it was a message from Mikey, an image.
Ran’s eyes widened as he stood up abruptly, it was a photo of Mikey smiling broadly with his sixth-month-old daughter in his arms.
Mikey: She’s freaken cute, can I keep her?
.
Y/n didn’t fear Mikey as much as she should, considering he was a notorious gang leader many feared and the boss of your daughter’s father. She only met Mikey a few times and he treated her kindly.
Ran once said to her it was probably because she was the same age as his baby sister who passed away years ago.
She was surprised to see Mikey approach them at the park. Sensing fear from Mikey and his bodyguards, the other moms quickly gathered their children and took off.
Y/n pulled her daughter out of the baby swing and hugged her close. “Mikey.” She acknowledged, nodding her head at him.
He nodded in return, his eyes shifting to the baby in her arms. “Is she Ran’s?”
Y/n knew he knew the answer already, even if she did lie which she had no reason to, the color of her eyes and hair was a giveaway that she had Ran’s DNA running through her blood.
“Yes,” she answered quietly.
Mikey took a step closer and held out his arms, “is she picky? Can I hold her?”
“If you like, she is… a bit drooly.” Fuyumi stared at Mikey before he reached for her. She continued to stare at him, seeing a new face. “Her name is Fuyumi.” She wasn’t sure he heard her since he was having a staring contest with the baby.
“God!” Mikey snuggled her, “you’re so freaken cute. Thank goodness you look nothing like your dad.” He reached for his phone and looked at Y/n for approval, “can I send Ran a photo? So he knows what he’s missing out on?”
Y/n let out a hesitant laugh, “I’m sure Ran knows... he has someone following and protecting us and he sends Ran updates daily.”
“You know about K?” Mikey gasped, he looked at Fuyumi. “Do you know Uncle K?” He snaps a selfie with her. “Your dad is going to be so jealous that I got a photo with you before him.”
Y/n had a second change of heart but knew that Mikey had already sent the photo. She didn’t know how Ran would react.
Instantly, Mikey chuckled and looked at the baby in his arms, “that sounds awfully like your dad’s motorcycle…”
That’s when Y/n heard it, her head turning towards the sound of the roaring muffler. Sure enough, Ran’s motorcycle pulls up. Of course, he would know where Mikey is at all times in case he needed to get to Mikey at any time.
Y/n’s heart fluttered the moment he took off his helmet and their eyes connected even at a distance.
Ran stopped a few feet away from Mikey, eyes on his daughter. He swallowed the lump in his throat, unable to speak.
“Are you going to say hi to your daughter at all?” Mikey questioned, “I’ll take her if you don’t want her…” he smiled at Fuyumi, “I can be your da –“
“Mikey.” Ran snarl.
Mikey ignored his tone, continuing to talk to the baby. “As I was saying, I can be your daddy. I have blond hair – “
“We should get going,” Y/n intervenes, stepping forward to reach for her child. “It is almost time for her nap.” Y/n hugs her daughter close. She avoided looking at Ran as she muttered a goodbye, turning her heels towards the stroller.
.
She knew Ran was following them.
When she finally reached her apartment she whipped around to face him. Ran had his hands stuffed in his dress pants, looking handsome as ever in his black attire with his sleeves rolled up to his elbow. She cleared her throat and snapped, “you can go now.”
Instead of walking away, he walked towards her until he was in front of them. His eyes drop down to the sleeping baby in the stroller. “Can we talk?”
“No.” Y/n answered immediately. “I have nothing to say to you.”
“That’s fine, I have something to say to you though.”
She narrowed her eyes at him, “you had plenty of opportunities in the past to say something. It’s too late, excuse us.”
Ran was faster and blocked her from entering her apartment building. “We can do this the nice way, Y/n, or I can take you kicking and screaming, you pick.”
She flinched at his threat. Though he has never done anything to make her fear him that didn’t mean she didn’t harbor any fear for this man at all. She knew of some of the things he’s done and is responsible for, knew what he could do to anyone with the snap of his fingers.
.
Ran has only been in her apartment a handful of times. Most of the time, she was at his place.
Y/n was normally a clean and tidy person but her place was cluttered with toys and baby items.
He watched her carefully lift the baby out of the stroller, cooing gently and rocking her back to sleep but being disturbed, the baby began to fuss.
“It’s okay,” Y/n repeated quietly but the baby’s cry only increased. She looked at Ran before excusing herself, “let me go nurse her, I’ll be back.”
Ran nodded dumbfounded. His cheeks flushed as he imagined Y/n nursing their daughter, suckling from her tits just as he had once done.
Y/n returned with their daughter wide awake. Fuyumi stared intensely at Ran as he stood up from the couch and approached them. Being 6’2, he towered over the both of them put together. “She’s beautiful… like you.”
Ran was mesmerized staring into the same colored eyes as his own, his flesh, his DNA… his daughter.
Y/n cleared her throat, “talk.”
He had rehearsed what he would say to her the day he got the opportunity, and this was his one chance to explain himself with an ounce of hope that he could turn the tables. “I’m sorry,” he said genuinely. “I am sorry for my past actions, how it hurt not only you but our daughter as well.” He inhaled softly, “my actions hurt me too. But I can promise you, there has not been anyone. I had only kissed that woman that night to force you to end your connection with me and that was the stupidest decision I’ve ever made.”
“Yeah it was,” Y/n snapped, “I don’t need your apology now, neither does my daughter too.”
Her anger was expected, just as long as she didn’t hate him.
“I know you don’t need it, but I want to give it anyway. If you want to throw it away, that’s your decision.” He had to play his next card right. “Can –  I explain myself?”
She has never seen Ran vulnerable like this and she almost believes it’s genuine. “Fine, have a seat then,” she pointed to the spot he was sitting moments ago.
He listened obediently, watching her take a seat on the floor with their daughter. He wanted to sit near them but did not want to frustrate her. “It has always been you. As you know my job… my lifestyle isn’t exactly best fitted to become a father and I thought for the sake and safety of the both of you, it was the best decision to go our ways.” He placed both his palms on the coffee table. “That was another stupid decision and I regret it every single day. But there has never been anyone else, it’s only been you since the day I forced you to walk away.”
Y/n refused to make eye contact with him, only looking at her daughter and smiling at her.
Ran wasn’t sure she was even listening to him.
“Is that all?”
He shook his head, “no, I’ve been sending you money but you haven’t touched it and that made me frustrated so…” he swallowed the guilt. “I have someone secretly following you, he is tasked to protect you at all times, 24/7, and report to me about your daily activities… I’m sorry for invading your privacy and going behind your ba – “
“I know.”
“What?” his head snapped up, eyes wide as he stared into Y/n’s calm ones.
“I met him… K.”
His jaw dropped. “Mother fu –“ he stopped himself as his daughter turned her head to look at him right when he was about to swear. “I’m sorry, baby.” As if understanding him, she smiled brightly with a gummy smile. His heart nearly combusted.
“Don’t kill him,” Y/n looked at him with pleading eyes, “I caught him one day when I had pretended to have a stomachache. He was by my side instantly, confirming my suspicion. He didn’t reveal any information, but he answered my questions if I asked.” She looked away and reached for the toys her daughter was reaching for. “I had asked him not to tell you that I knew you assigned someone to watch over me. As much as I was hurt by you, it made me feel better knowing deep down, you cared even if it was a little bit.”
“Y/n…”
“So don’t kill him. He has become a friend to me.”
Ran wanted to kill him now knowing how close they’d become.
“Were you not curious how he was able to get such accurate details let alone photos of Fuyumi as if he was here in person?”
It all clicked in Ran’s head.
“I knew this guy was an expert at his job, just thought that this guy was just phenomenal at his job… only to discover he has become BFF with you.” His eyes drop to his daughter, “and my daughter too apparently.” He rests his elbow on his knees, covering his face. “God, I feel…” he sat up straight. “Y/n, I had all my shit planned out on what I want to tell you but I can’t remember sh – it. It. I can’t remember it now.” He stood up, walked around, and knelt before them, he grabbed Y/n by her shoulders. “Hit me all you want, be angry with me, and punish me for however long you want…” his hand shifts to cup her face. “Just don’t hate me and push me away.”
Y/n blinked dumbfoundedly, shocked at the Ran before her.
“I’ll do whatever you want, just… let me be part of your life again. And Yumi’s…” that was the name of his daughter’s photo album. “I may not have physically been there for you in the last months but K’s daily report made me feel as if I was. I will forever regret missing my daughter’s birth.”
Ran looked down when he felt something against his thigh. His daughter had pulled herself onto his lap. She looked up at him with curious eyes, almost admiring him. His gaze softened as he reached for her but froze, he looked up at Y/n, silently asking for permission.
“Yes, please…” Y/n had imagined if the day would come when Ran would hold their daughter.
Ran bit his lip, nervous, realizing he had never held a baby before, let alone been near one.
As if it was natural, he picked her up, holding her against his chest.
Y/n’s heart tightened watching them have a silent conversation. Ran’s smile softened as Fuyumi gently touched the Bonten insignia tattoo on his throat, her small fingers trying to grab at the design. A soft chuckle was elicited from Ran.
“You need to prove your worth to Yumi.”
Ran’s smile faded as he blinked at Y/n. “Yumi?” He repeated, “what… about you?”
Y/n broke eye contact, “you only need to work on your relationship with her.”
.
Ran visits his daughter almost every day and on the days that he could not, he would video-call her. He took pride in becoming one of her favorite humans. Her excitement when he walked through the door was all that Ran needed to make his day better.
“Hi Yumi!”
Hearing her father’s voice, the ten-month-old smiled brightly, flashing her solo tooth. She leaned against the coffee table, trying to reach for the TV controller that she loved more than her toys.
He picked up and spun her in the air, “did you have a good day?”
“Do you not see the bruise on the left side of her forehead?”
At Y/n’s words, Ran’s eyes widen seeing the new battle wound. “What did you fight today?”
“The TV stand and lost.”
“Losing is not in your blood, Yumi,” Ran scolded softly.
.
It was rare that Y/n would call him.
Especially when it was 3 AM.
“Y/n?”
“Ran, Yumi is running a fever and won’t go down. I – I need you to take us to the hospital.”
He was already pulling his pants on, “I’m on my way.”
Everything was a blur. He reached the hospital and barked for the nurses to look at his daughter. She was immediately taken away from Y/n’s arms and taken into a restricted area.
At that moment, Y/n turned to Ran, his arms wrapped tightly around her body. “It’ll be okay, she’ll be okay.”
.
Two days in the hospital passed by before they could finally head home. Yumi’s cheerful personality had fully returned.
During that time in the hospital, Ran stayed right beside them, only leaving to change and shower and would return. The first night, Yumi struggled and only slept well in the arms of her dad.
The image of Ran sleeping in the recliner with Yumi snoozing against his chest would forever be itched in Y/n’s mind.
“Home sweet home,” Ran sang, walking into the apartment. “Do you miss your toys?”
Y/n smiled, setting down their belongings. “Can you keep her busy while I put this stuff away?”
“Go for it,” Ran answered softly with a smile.
She returned fifteen minutes later and found that Ran had put Yumi down for her nap. She cuddles in the crook of Ran’s long arms.
Feeling her presence, he looked up and smiled and whispered, “she was playing when I noticed her head started to bob and she almost rolled over.”
Y/n smiled and whispered, “do you want to put her down?”
Slowly, Ran followed her to the nursery and set her down easily. When he turned around, Y/n was already gone from the room.
He found her in the living room, seated on the couch with her face covered in her hands. “Y/n?” When she looked up, her tear-streaked face had Ran kneeling in front of her in seconds. “What’s wrong? Why – why are crying?”
She surprised him when her arms wrapped around his neck, “I don’t know what to do without you.”
Ran sighed, relaxing in her embrace. He wrapped his arms around her waist. “It’s the same for me too, I don’t know what to do without you or Yumi.”
After a long pause, he couldn’t believe his ears when he heard her ask, “will you come back to us?”
He pulled away from her and gazed into her glossy eyes, he smiled, “I think the real question is, will you come back to me?” He has already stolen the heart of his daughter, he just needs to earn her heart this time around.
She choked back a sob and wiped her tears, smiling. “Yes, I’ll come back to you.” She cups his face before pressing her lips against his. “I hated you but I love you too much.”
“You can hate me just as long as you love me more,” he kissed her passionately, nipping her lip. “God, I love you too. I missed you so much… I never want to be apart from you or Yumi again…”
“I won’t let you go, there’s no turning back.”
“Done, I’m yours. Just as you are mine, forever.”
They stumbled into her bedroom, quickly shredding their clothes.
“Ran,” Y/n gasped, feeling him thrust into her. “God – I missed you…”
“I missed you too,” he murmured, slowly thrusting into her.
In silence, they both exchange soft gasps and moans, reminding one another why it’ll never work out with anyone else.
Their lips crashed against each other, making up for the lost time as their body continued to move in sync.
“Ran,” Y/n’s nails dug into his shoulder, “I’m so close… please… please let me cum…”
His lips pressed against her throat, teeth grazing against the skin. “Same – cum Y/n…”
Her legs wrapped tightly around his waist and her arms tightened around his neck, “ah – ha… Ran!”
His hips tremble as he cums, filling her womb.
Ran buried his face in the valley of her breasts, “I – I’m sorry… I forgot a condom…” It was Y/n’s laughter that he lifted his head, blinking at her in confusion.
She runs a hand through his lilac-streaked hair, “if you impregnate me again, please just be with me this time around.”
He tugs her wrist and presses a kiss to her palm. “Promise.”
E/n: Sweet daddy Ran is something else.

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Wanda’s Pov
I had just gotten home from a tiring mission that involved a lot of heavy lifting. Everything went fine but I had to pick up a lot of heavy things with my fingers and I know It may seem like nothing but not only does that take a lot out of me physically but mentally as well. All I wanted was to cuddle up with you. I had some making up to do after how early I left you this morning for said mission.
When I walked through the door of our apartment. I saw you lying on the sofa in the living room wearing my favorite burgundy hoodie with white and gray stripes on the sleeves. You also happened to have on my favorite gray sweatpants to match. You loved wearing my clothes, you said it made you feel closer to me which I thought was so utterly precious.
As I approached you I saw our pet cat (Someone should name the cat) jump off your lap to come and greet me. “Hi sweet girl, did you watch over your mama hmm,” I said bending down to pet the fluffy cat that by the looks of it had been given just one too many treats. I heard TV playing so I looked up to see that you were watching my favorite sitcom “The dick van dyke show.” Before we started dating you had no interest in sitcoms and said that they were too “cheesy” but with a lot of convincing, I got you to watch one episode with me and from then on you've been hooked. I might even go as far as to say you liked them more than me. When I walked closer towards you I saw you had dried tears running down your face.
My heart broke at the sight. You had always taken it hard when I had to leave you alone for anything. Whether that be a mission or just to go to the bathroom you hated when I left you by yourself; If you could be with me then you were and to be honest I had no problem with that. Deciding that I was no longer going to make you go through the torture of my skin not being on yours. I reach down and place a hand on your cheek with a soft kiss on your forehead. “Detka…detka love wake up im home.”
That was enough to wake you up. You were never a deep sleeper unless I was sleeping with you, you could sleep almost anything then. It was something about me being close to you that made you feel safe you once said that time I asked. You opened your eyes, squinting a little to adjust to the light.
As soon as you noticed that it was me, you immediately jumped up from your place on the sofa and wrapped your arms around my neck and legs around my waist. “You're home, I missed you!” You exclaimed a smile taking over your face, erasing any evidence of the tears that once took that smile's place. “Yes I am home and I missed you, more sweet girl,” I said while placing my arms under your thighs making sure you wouldn’t fall as I made my way over to sit in the chair that was in the corner by the TV. “How was the mission? Are you hurt or anything?” You asked while checking me over. “No no I'm fine don’t worry love, the mission went well. I'm tired but okay I promise.” I say holding out my pinky finger knowing that pinky promising would be the only way to ease your anxiety.
“What about you hm? How are you, what'd you do while I was gone?” I asked you to bring your head to my chest. “I didn’t do much. Just watched TV, took a nap, and waited for you.” You said looking up at me with your y/e/c eyes through your lashes. “Mm that sounds peaceful, how about we continue that minus the waiting for me of course after lunch? Have you eaten yet?” “No, I haven’t, I was trying to wait for you.” You reply. “Okay let's go have some lunch and then we’ll continue your amazing peaceful day. How does that sound?” I asked, looking down at you in my lap. You nodded up at me. “Sounds good.”
With that, I stand up off the chair with you still in my arms kola style not even thinking about having you let go knowing that would just upset you. It was a task making us lunch with you in my arms but not impossible. We make our way to the dining room table with you holding one plate and me holding the other.
I set you down in your usual seat that is straight across from mine. I picked up my fork ready to dig into the Caesar salads I prepared for lunch when I noticed you were pouting and not even attempting to start eating. “What’s wrong with love?” I asked you with patience in my voice. You look up with the face you do anytime you want something. “Can I sit in your lap and eat please?” I look at you with nothing but love on my face. “Of course, you can love to get over here,” I say while pushing my chair back to make room for you. You clamber in my lap already with your frown turned right side up making it into a smile digging into your lunch. When we finish lunch I get you off my lap so I can put our dishes in the sink to be washed later. I then grab your hand so that we can head upstairs to finish the rest of our day with cuddles.
When we get to our room I head off into the closet so that I can change into something more comfortable. While taking off my shirt, I feel you come up behind me and wrap your arms around my waist. “What are you doing lovely?” I ask, sounding muffled because of the shirt covering my face. “Um, I have an idea.” I hear you sound nervous. “Oh yeah and what’s that?” I ask while taking my shirt off completely. “Do you think we could cuddle naked? I just really wanna feel your skin on mine.” I look down at you and say. “I would love to cuddle naked with you.” We both walk over to the bed while taking off our clothes on the way. When we reach the bed we get under the covers. I bring you into my chest and within minutes you're asleep. I gently kiss your forehead “You will forever be my snuggle bug.” I say then drift off to sleep myself without a thought or worry.

Party wasn't that boring after all
Warnings: +18 content, NSFW, oral m receiving, virgin!rindou, fem!reader, alcohol use, Tenjiku!Rindou
Synopsis: From being bored at a party to giving Rindou his first head.
•*¨*•.¸¸☆*・゚•*¨*•.¸¸☆*・゚•*¨*•.¸¸☆*・•*¨*•.¸¸☆*・゚
It was almost 1.00 am.
The party was getting kinda boring, and so was I.
Some people were sitting and drinking, others were dancing in the middle of the room, and I saw some couples desperately kissing down the hallways.
I don't even know why I came here in the first place. That happens when i do what my friend says: "It's gonna be fun," she told me. Sure, she is having a lot of fun with that guy in some room of the house. It was obvious that she came here because of him, and now I was here all alone waiting for her to finish so we could go back home.
"What is this? a funeral?" said a blonde girl. It looks like she wasn't enjoying the party, neither.
"Yeah, what if we play something?" says other girl from the other side of the room.
"I like that idea. What about 'I never have I ever'?"
A bunch of people agrees with her. Well, at least I can do more than standing in a corner with a beer in my hand, wishing I was asleep in my comfy bed.
I sit between two already too drunk guys.
"Hey Rindou, come join us," the same blonde said to the guy sitting on the couch with his phone in one hand and a drink on the other. He was new in town, we have to include him.
He, with no desire to play, joins the round and sits right in front of me.
"Okay, everyone knows the game, but i'm gonna repeat the rules in case anybody doesn't. So, someone says something they have or have never done before, and anyone who has done it must drink."
"Well, who starts?" asks some guy.
There was a silence for a few seconds until a brave man said, "Ok, i'll go first."
Everyone stares at him with curiosity. "I never have I ever kissed with tongue."
You have to be kidding.
I lift my can of beer and bring it to my lips, looking at the rest of the players, everyone drinks, even that boy Rindou.
Some complained about the fact that it was an easy question.
Now is the blonde girl's turn. "I never have I ever got catched masturbating."
I remember that time when I was in my room, discovering my body, I thought I was home alone but then my mom opens the door, asking some stupid question I don't even remember, and see me with my hand between my thighs and my panties down at my knees, god I wish I could erase that memory from my mind.
Ashamed, I take another sip.
I feel an intense look on me, I look for it, and I find it's Rindou's, I hold his gaze until he looks away.
It's the turn of the guy sitting next to her. "I never have a I ever been arrested."
No one moves a muscle till a sigh is heard, and the blonde with galsses takes a short sip.
I'm a little surprised. I wasn't expecting it from the new guy.
An awkward silence is formed, I don't realize I was staring at him until someone called my name. Right, it's my turn.
"Umm, I never have I ever had sex" was the first thing that came to my mind, I heard some laughs at my question, and everybody drank except Rindou.
When he sees that everyone in the round drank, he does it as well, hesitating and thinking nobody noticed, oh but I did.
The game keeps going a couple of rounds. When we got bored, the host of the party turned up the music and the people went back to dancing a lot more drunk than before.
I stand up and make my way to the bathroom so I can retouch my makeup and get away from all the noise.
When I arrived, I knocked on the door, which was closed.
"Coming," says a deep voice from the other side.
A few minutes pass by, and then the door opens.
"Well, hi," I greet him with a smile on my face.
I would lie if I said I didn't find him attractive.
"Hi," he says, showing no emotion.
"So... you've been in jail?" was the first thing that crossed to mind, and I immediately regret asking when I see his face. He rolls his eyes, not wanting to talk about it, I get it.
"My name is y/n."
"I know," said in the same tone as before.
"I noticed you didn't drink with the sex question." Let's be honest. The fact that he was a virgin surprised me as much as it turned me on.
The light was too low, but I could still see his cheeks turning red.
"So? Where are you going with this?" he adjusted his glasses, nervous. "Wanna make fun of me or something?"
"No~, I was just wondering if you wanted to change that" straight to the point, no turns.
"W-what?" he says a little confused. Cute.
"Oh, come on, I've seen the way you were looking at me down there"
He falls silent, shocked. I get closer slowly.
Every step I take forward, he takes it backward. That's how we end up inside the bathroom. He stops when his hips bumped into the vanity. I get a little bit closer, just to make him more nervous.
"Can I kiss you?" I asked, consent first.
"Yes, please" he says. And I do as a said, with one hand I grab him by his jawline and the other goes to his hip. I approached to kiss him, and he lowered his head. The kiss starts sloppy and lazy. To warm him up, I grab his hands and guide them to my waist. He moans in the middle of the kiss, and I smile. He tightened me against his firm and tense body. I can feel his hard on pressing against my abdomen.
As time passes, he kisses me with more excitement. The kiss becomes passionate and wet. His tongue comes into play, asking for permission to enter in my mouth, which I consent, parting my lips so his tongue could find mine. I wrap my arms around his neck.
After a few minutes, I pull away. He doesn't want for the kiss to end and follows my lips still with his eyes closed.
I let out a soft laugh. That's when he opens his eyes with dilated pupils that I can see through his glasses.
I run my hand over his abdomen, up his chest, and grab his shoulders. I come closer and get on my tiptoes so my lips brush against his ear.
"Have you ever got head before?" I asked him, and I could swear I felt his dick throb.
Rindou just shakes his head with half-opened mouth a his eyes full with lust.
"You want to?"
"Uh-huh" he nods anxious.
I lick his earlobe, move to his neck where I left a soft kiss and he flinched. Rindou's breath quickened.
I get on my knees without breaking eye contact. Without wasting time, I unzip his pants and then pull them down to his ankles.
I rub his cock through his boxers and after that I take it out.
"Oh god," I sigh. "So big," I say to myself. Measures almost 8 inches.
I grab his dick with my hand that looks so small around it. Slowly, I go up and down his shaft with my fist.
"F-fuck, I'm s-sensitive," he says, nearly crying.
I bring my lips to his dick, going slow, I give a long lick from the base, not missing any pulsating vein, to the reddened tip, which I suck on it hard. I lift my gaze, looking at him in the eyes. He can barely keep them open.
"D-dont look at me like that."
I start to rub my clit through my panties, I could feel my arousal drenching them.
Could taste his precum on my tongue, I feel he is about to cum and I go faster on him.
"S-stop stop stop," he pushes me away.
"No~ please let me finish," I say with doe eyes, wanting him to cum in my mouth.
"Fuck it" he surprises me when he grabs my head with both hands and puts me back to work. Pushing his hips at a feral pace that I have to hold my breath so I won't choke.
"O-oh f-fuck, you're so good to me," he moans loud. I have to grab on his thighs, feeling a little dizzy.
"S-shit I'm gonna cum, gonna cum, gonna cum" he pushes me away again and I stick my tongue out. He gives a few pumps to his cock with a tight fist on it and let out a deep groan while he cums. I don't waste any drop and swallow all of it, maintaining eye contact.
I smiled at him, and then I opened my mouth to show him I swallowed it all.
"I said stop looking at me like that. Gonna make me hard again."
I go back to my feet and kiss him again desperately.
"Fuck me already."

Tumblr media
When did texting someone become so hard?
It has been exactly three days since Taehyung got to talk to you again. He offered to drive you home after your date failed to show up. You said yes. You two had a friendly conversation in his car. Like you were old friends, which you were. But were you? It’s complicated. For the first time in years, he heard your laugh and saw you smile just like in the photos he saw when cleaning up at your shared house. He remembered you waving at him with a soft smile on your lips before getting into your apartment building.
You also said you never changed your number and you would reach out. But he wants to update you about the small celebration the bakery will have later next week. He tried typing something but later erased it before he could even finish the first word. He doesn’t know what to type or how to begin a conversation. So he just typed a single character and hit the send button.
Tumblr media
It was past six in the evening. You were already in your PJs after a long day at work. Treating yourself with dumplings and beef fried rice from the nearest Chinese restaurant in your area, you let yourself indulge while your favorite sitcom plays on your TV screen.
“You’re not easy-going, but you’re passionate, and that’s good. And when you get upset about the little things, I think that I’m pretty good about making you feel better about that. And that’s good too. So, they can say that you’re high maintenance, but it’s okay because I like…maintaining you.”
You found yourself pursing your lips when your favorite character said that line. It was one of the quotes that stays in the back of your head almost every time. You were about to reach for the remote control to play it back again. But your phone, which you set into silent mode an hour ago, vibrated. Your eyebrows shoot up as you read who sent you a message.
From Jung Hoseok
Hi, YN. I really regret missing our date last time. Would you be willing to give me another chance with a cup of coffee this Friday? I know a great cafe around the city 🙂
The day after he failed to show up at the restaurant, you woke up to a text message from Hoseok apologizing again. You reassured him that you understood and he promised to make it up to you. You didn’t really expect anything from that and thought that he would just pass by like your past dates that Martha set up. So seeing him reaching out again was unexpected.
You smiled as you typed a reply.
To Jung Hoseok
Will there be tea? I don’t drink coffee.
You see those three dots immediately popping in, indicating that he’s typing. So you quickly typed in a follow-up message.
To Jung Hoseok
Just kidding! I’m okay with Friday. Around 5 PM?
He was quick to reply,
From Jung Hoseok
Okay. Should I pick you up?
You thought you would just feel pressured if he picked you up at your home. So you just offered an alternative.
To Jung Hoseok
We can just meet there :) Just send me the cafe’s location.
From Jung Hoseok
[location pin]
To Jung Hoseok
Thank you! See you this Friday then.
From Jung Hoseok
See you, YN!
That’s a date for Friday, which is a few days from now. Even though he reached out again, you thought of keeping your expectations low. Because it helps avoid disappointment. You probably learned after your last dates with those guys you met before.
You continued playing the episode you were watching. Not even five minutes later, your phone vibrated again. You thought Hoseok forgot something. But immediately after reading the contact name, you froze staring at your screen.
From Aaa Love
👋
Of course, you quickly recognized who it was. Suddenly, you felt a sense of nostalgia in your head after seeing that name for a long time. Years after keeping this contact hidden on your list, you totally forgot that you never changed his contact name even after the accident. You cannot even remember when you hid his name in your list. Maybe it was one of those nights you were drunk with friends and made some decisions.
Before replying, you renamed the contact.
To Kim Taehyung
Hi, Tae 🙂
While waiting for his reply, you recalled that night. You remembered feeling good entering your apartment even though your date didn’t show up. When Jisoo asked you how it went through a video chat, you said that the date didn’t happen.
“Then, why do you look happy?” she asked that time.
That’s when you snapped out of your daze, “D-Do I?”
“Yeah, you’ve been smiling ever since we got on this call.”
“Oh…” your lips formed a thin line before speaking again. “I… I saw an old friend in the same restaurant.”
The last time you and Jisoo really talked about Taehyung was still the time she showed up unexpectedly after her wedding. You cried, she cried.
“Really? Who?”
“Taehyung.”
You wait for her reaction and you gradually see her eyes widen.
“What? What is he doing there? Did you talk?” she asked with surprise in her tone.
“Apparently, he’s doing some business here. And yes, we talked. He offered to drive me home.” you shared.
“And?”
“It was nice.”
Your simple and short answer had Jisoo simply staring at you through the screen. It was like she was studying you. You knew she had a lot to say in her head based on her quiet reaction. But then, she just said,
“Okay.”
From Kim Taehyung
Hello, YN. Just making sure I have the right number here haha
Taehyung finally replied. You let the episode play in the background as you tap on your screen,
To Kim Taehyung
I told you I didn’t change it!
From Kim Taehyung
I know, I’m sorry hehe
Just by the text, you can imagine him awkwardly laughing as he says that. Before you can reply, another text popped in.
From Kim Taehyung
Btw the celebration will be in the bakeshop. Next Saturday, 2 PM.
From Kim Taehyung
It’s a late lunch event with friends and family. We’re hoping you can come 😊
Reading that, a smile formed on your lips. With you working at school, you are usually free on weekends.
To Kim Taehyung
Will do!
Tumblr media
“Can you put dinosaurs in it?”
“Of course, bud. Anything you like.”
Taehyung softly ruffled Jihoon’s hair, who remained focused on coloring his activity book. The little kid’s birthday is coming up soon and the preparations for it had begun. Since Jimin would be the one making the multi-layered birthday Jurassic-themed cake, Taehyung offered to make the cupcakes.
A couple of toys, specifically, dinosaurs, are all over the table that Jihoon and Taehyung occupy. And ever since he arrived at the shop this morning, the kid kept talking about his favorite animal. Being the best uncle that he is, Taehyung listens while being quietly amazed by how much Jihoon knows about dinosaurs.
“Ashley just sent a copy of the contract in our e-mail earlier. She wants us to review it first before finalizing.” Jimin spoke while placing an apple juice box on the table.
Jihoon scoots a little to accommodate his father sitting next to him. He stayed busy with his crayons.
“Have you read it?” Jimin asked.
Taehyung shakes his head, “I haven’t. I think I left my phone on silent while doing those lemon tarts.”
“Well, I think you should read it. They put something they probably forgot to mention before.” his friend noted.
His eyebrows draw together before reaching for his phone. Taehyung immediately clicked on the file sent to him from Ashley. He carefully read word by word written in the document. He thought everything was already mentioned in their online meeting days after he went to Incheon. Until he read one of the sections of the contract.
Staffing Arrangements
The bakery agrees to temporarily assign one of its capable bakers to work at the restaurant in Incheon for four weeks, beginning on the first day of offering the pastries on the menu of the restaurant. During this time, the assigned baker will head pastry production, equip training for restaurant staff, and guarantee regular quality control. The restaurant agrees to cover the entrusted baker's salary, expenses, and even housing if demanded.
After pausing for a few seconds, Taehyung scanned his eyes all over that part again. Just to make sure he understood it right. He looked back up to Jimin, who had his arms crossed over his chest while waiting for a reaction from him.
“So?”
“This means one of us had to stay here while the other had to manage around in Incheon.”
Tumblr media
September is usually dry and warmer in Incheon.
After living in this part of the country for around two years now, you already got better at predicting the weather and climate. But today, your predictions were proven wrong when you had to stay under a waiting shed while the harsh raindrops poured continuously. You were too confident that you left your umbrella at home.
4:12 PM
You looked down at your phone. It has been almost thirty minutes since you stood in this shed, waiting for your usual bus to arrive. But you don’t know why there have only been two buses that passed by. You were unable to get on any of those since both were packed, considering the unexpected rainfall. You tried booking a cab but there’s nothing around your area at the moment. Your friend, Aileen already left earlier with her husband while Martha offered to drive you home but you live almost twenty minutes away from her. So, you kindly rejected her offer. Again, you were too confident that you would be able to ride the bus quickly.
Puffing your cheeks, you began dialing someone’s number. He answered after the second ring.
“Hey, Hoseok…” you greeted.
He was quick to reply, “Hi, are you on your way? I’m driving to the cafe.”
“Yeah, uhm, I’m kinda running late for our date tonight.” you chuckled awkwardly, scratching the back of your head. “I’m sorry.”
“Oh, it’s okay. Everything alright?”
“Haha, yeah. Just waiting for a bus to stop by here the school. It’s raining like crazy today.” you mentioned.
“Yeah, it is… you know, I can pick you up if you want to.” he offered.
Your eyebrows lifted, “Really?”
“Of course, YN.”
“Okay, thank you so much!” you smiled, finally.
“No worries. I’m on my way.”
“Okay, take care,” you said before ending the call.
With your plans of getting ready pre-date at your home canceled, you sat on one of the benches in the shed and touched up yourself quickly. You reapplied your lipstick with your front camera as your mirror. You ran your hand through the stubborn flyaways of your hair before tying it into the easiest half-up, half-down hairstyle you know. You’re still in your usual work clothes, a statement T-shirt (with a friendly and maybe corny quote written on it and jeans. Originally, you would wear something cuter. But this one will do. Even though the cool breeze makes you wish you wore something warmer too.
And less than five minutes later, a black Audi stops right in front of the stop. Your legs bounced restlessly. The windows were tinted dark so you cannot really see who’s inside. But the door on the other side of the car opened and there, you recognized the man from the pictures on Martha’s phone. Almost like sunshine, his smile as he made his way to you made you smile too. Your fidgeting legs had already calmed down as he stopped in front of you.
“YN?” He asked since this was the first time you two really saw each other.
You nodded, “Hi. You’re Hoseok, right?”
Although you were at ease with his arrival, there was still an awkward tension between you two. But it tones down when you two chuckled.
“Yes, nice to meet you.” he smiled again. He quickly noticed you hugging yourself. “It’s cold. How about let’s get you inside?”
“Sounds good.” you agreed.
Joining him under his transparent umbrella, your shoulders brushed against each other, and you could feel his warmth beside you. He opened the car door for you while ensuring no raindrop would touch your skin. You mumbled a small ‘thank you’ when you finally got to sit inside. You watched as he made his way back to the driver’s side of the car.
“Are you okay? Everything’s fine?” he asked immediately.
“Yeah, thank you again for picking me up,” you replied.
“You’re welcome,” he replied before reaching for something from the backseat.
Your eyes widened when you saw what it was. It was like your eyes sparkled as he handed you the small bouquet of yellow tulips, tied with a matching gold ribbon.
“I’m really sorry for missing our date last time.” he apologized, watching you appreciate the flowers.
It has been so long since you received flowers. You cannot even remember when was the last time. So you cannot help but feel this funny feeling in your stomach while you look at the flowers. Especially since yellow tulips are your favorite.
“You didn’t have to. I understand why,” you spoke, tilting your head in his direction. Your voice was small and soft.
“Still, you waited for me alone in that restaurant. I cancelled last minute… Do you love it?”
“Of course, I love yellow tulips!” you exclaimed before taking in its subtle scent.
“I’m glad. I may or may not have asked Martha for help with those.” he chuckled.
Hoseok began driving while you find it more comfortable being around him. He has this infectious smile that brings more warmth in this rainy weather. It probably helps when he’s with patients.
“How long have you been waiting there?” he asked, starting up a conversation.
“Oh, you know, like half an hour.” you sneered at yourself. You hear him gasp. You chuckled, “To be fair, it is a rainy day. I can usually find a ride easily. I just didn’t expect that it would rain today.”
“It’s usually sunny at this time of the year,” he noted.
“It is. I was already waiting for the bus when the rain poured,” you told him.
“I thought you and Martha usually go home together?” he asked, looking from the road to you for a quick second.
“Sometimes. But I feel bad for making her drive past her house for like twenty minutes,” you revealed.
You tried offering to pay for her gas but she declined. Although she constantly assured you that it’s fine, you feel like an inconvenience, especially after a busy day at work. You are very aware it’s a you problem. But it’s just the way it is.
You shifted in your seat, “How about you? Did you have work today?”
He nods, “Ah, yes. I got off my shift earlier this day. Then went home to see my dog before dropping her off at my sister’s.”
“Oh, you have a dog?”
“Yeah, a senior dog but Mickey’s still the family’s baby.” he chuckled. “We take turns with her. Some days, she’s with me. Or my sister’s or my parents’.”
“So, you’re originally from here in Incheon?” you asked, curious when he mentioned his family.
He shakes his head, “No, we moved here when I was in high school. I left during college. Then, came back when I began working. I like staying close to my family. And you?”
“No, I moved here from Seoul two years ago.” you shared.
“And what about your family? They stayed there?” he asked.
“Nope, I’m an only child. My parents died years ago– Please, don’t say you’re sorry. It’s fine, it’s been so long.” you chuckled when you saw how his expression changed. “But I do have my Aunty Belle. She’s around the city too. She looked after me until I left to study in SNU.”
“You went to SNU too?” Hoseok exclaimed.
You beamed, “Yes– Wait, we’re here?”
He laughed, “Yeah.”
Distracted, you didn’t notice the car arriving in front of the cafe Hoseok talked about. He told you to wait for him, leaving the car with the umbrella. He opened the car door for you and helped you with the umbrella. He does the same thing when opening the cafe’s front door for you. And when a bell clangs when the door opens, you get reminded of your favorite bakeshop back in Seoul.
“I’ll be having iced americano and a slice of carrot cake. How ‘bout you?” Hoseok turned to you as you two stood in front of the staff.
“I’ll have green tea and banana muffins,” you answered.
After ordering, you two sat on one of the empty pearly white tables and chairs near the glass window while waiting. It was a well-lit place. It has a minimalist and clean aesthetic. Hoseok sat across you, tapping his fingers along to the music playing in the background.
“So, what made you agree to do this blind date?” you asked him.
“Well, I’ve been single for the last three months and I never really tried blind dating before so I said yes when Martha told me about you,” he answered.
“Well, I hope she said nice things.” you two chuckled.
“Don't worry, she did.” He assured you. “How about you?”
“Martha had been setting me up for blind dates these past few months because I’ve been single ever since I came here in Incheon. The last dates I went to were unsuccessful so she promised that this one was gonna be great. So I agreed for the last time.” you told him.
“And so far, how is this one going?” he asked cheekily.
You pretended to think for a second, humming as you rubbed your chin. He laughed.
“It’s going great. You get plus points for my favorite flowers.” you smiled.
“Even though I didn't show up last time?”
He seemed really apologetic about that. He brought it up again for the nth time even though you already told him countless times that it’s okay.
You puffed, “Hoseok, it's fine. I really do understand. I used to work at a hospital, things can get a little spontaneous. No worries about it.”
A staff member came with your orders. She carefully placed your drinks and food on your table. You can feel your shoulders relaxing as you feel the warmth of the tea on your tongue when you take a sip from the cup.
“How was it?”
You smiled, “Nice. Perfect for a rainy day. How did you find this place? I don't think I ever reached this part of the city.”
“This is the only open cafe I see whenever I get off from my shift very late at night. I love their coffee here.”
You nodded while taking a bite from the banana muffin you ordered. And you quickly recognized its difference from your usual banana muffin. You look at Hoseok who's enjoying his cake.
“How was it?” he asked, pointing his fork at your muffins.
“This feels a little dry and the texture’s a bit rough,” you whispered, not really wanting the nice lady at the cashier to hear you.
You don't want to be critical. But you just got used to having a soft and fluffy banana muffin or even bread with the right amount of sweetness in it.
He leaned a bit forward, mirroring you, “Really?”
“Yeah, seems like it had a lot of flour,” you added before offering him one of the muffins.
You watched him take a bite and chew on it. After gulping it down, you wait for his opinion.
“It is dry.” he nods before putting the muffin down. “You seem to know a lot about bread. Do you bake?”
No, but I know someone who put his heart out and is a perfectionist in baking.
Instead of saying that, you shake your head.
“Oh, no. But I do love a lot of bread and pastries. I just know friends who bake back in Seoul.”
Tumblr media
“Oh, I’m sorry. We probably didn't get to discuss that in the meeting we had.”
Taehyung, along with Jimin, sat at the same table since that morning. Jihoon’s mom already picked him up earlier and the shop was already sold out by 5 PM so they closed early. Now, they are just having a call with Ashley about the contract.
“So, it means that based here on the contract, you want one of us to stay there in Incheon to oversee the pastries.” Jimin clarified.
“Yes, we just want to make sure that the quality of the products will be the same as what you have there in Seoul. Also, we thought that it might be better for our crew members to personally learn about it from the baker himself.” Ashley explained through the call set in loudspeaker mode.
Jimin looked at Taehyung who nods with that. This time, Taehyung has a question.
“You said that there would be a salary?”
“Yes. There would be a separate salary for the baker who will be staying here with us for four weeks. And since traveling from Seoul to Incheon can be a hassle, if you want to, we can also provide temporary accommodation with complete furniture. My husband runs a condominium business here so the accommodation would be on one of his buildings.”
Both of the men’s jaws dropped with that information. Their eyes were wide as they met each other's gaze. They definitely didn't expect that information from her. They were unaware of how rich she was. They just know that she runs a great restaurant in Incheon.
Jimin cleared his dry throat, “Okay, thank you for clarifying it. But we hope you can still wait before we sign the contract since me and my friend still have to talk about it.”
“Sure, of course. Just reach out to us whatever your decision is.”
“Thank you. Have a great night.”
As soon as Jimin ended the call, the two exchanged looks.
“So?” Taehyung began.
Jimin shakes his head, “I can't. Jihoon just began going to school. You know what my co-parenting arrangements with his mom are.”
Taehyung nods. After learning about Jihoon’s existence, Jimin wanted to make up for those years he missed. He was hands-on in everything that his son takes part in. He is also helping Jihoon’s mom in looking after him since she is currently working in a nine-to-five job.
“It's fine with me. I went on vacation there once. It's nice there. Plus, we can split the salary.” He commented.
And he didn't really have any obligations here in Seoul. Unlike his best friend. It would be easier and better if he went. Jimin can manage the shop while taking care of Jihoon. Taehyung is flexible in working everywhere.
“It would also be nice to stay in a new place.”
Tumblr media
“No, but the living finances in Seoul are really more expensive than here.”
You don't sure how long has it been since you and Hoseok arrived here in the cafe. You already finished your tea while the ice on his drink has already melted. The only muffin left was half-eaten. The plate of his carrot cake was already on your after he let you finish it when he noticed that you liked it after giving you a taste.
“It is. That's also another reason why I came back here.” Hoseok exclaimed. “I can't stand living with another careless roommate again.”
You laughed when he referenced his bad roommate experience he told you earlier. Hoseok has been funny and nice ever since he picked you up today. He talked about Mickey, his life back in Seoul, and a little bit about his family.
“But you said you stayed in Seoul after graduating, right?” he recalled.
“Yes, I did.”
“How? Did you live alone?”
“At first, I became roommates with my best friend there, who’s also a nurse. That lasted for a couple of years... Then, I moved in with the guy I was dating at the time.” You told him.
“Like in his apartment?”
You shake your head, “We bought a house.”
His jaw dropped, “You bought a house? In Seoul?!”
“Yeah, we did some research and saved up for it starting from our first anniversary. Apparently, foreclosed properties are cheap there.” You shared it like a fact.
Taehyung was the first one to bring up the idea of living together a few weeks before your anniversary. After talking about it, you two did some research and went to a lot of open houses. Then, you found out about foreclosed properties. Taehyung and you looked in about four foreclosed houses before landing on the one you called home.
“What happened to the house after you broke up?” He asked.
You purse your lips, “He's living in it. But we agreed to talk about it soon.”
How soon is soon though?
“So it was a good breakup?”
“Yeah. I guess so.”
The last sentence was almost a whisper by the end. You cleared your throat as if something was stuck in it. It was your turn to ask.
“How about you? How was your last relationship?”
Hoseok leaned back on his chair, crossing his arm over his chest, “It was great for the most part. We’ve been together for only one year. I actually proposed to her.”
Your eyebrows scrunched together, “Really? What happened?”
“We had a lot of misunderstandings in the last months of our relationship. It can be about everything. But mostly, she gets mad whenever I have an emergency in the hospital and I understand that. So one day, we harshly broke up during a fight before I left for work.”
“So it's a bad breakup?”
“Yeah, a bit bitter.” He sneered. “But at least I don't share any property with her.”
It was a teasing remark to lighten up the mood. You grimaced and rolled your eyes. He laughed.
Tumblr media
“The lady was too kind to ask us to go,” you said as Hoseok drove.
The moment you and Hoseok realized that the rain had stopped and the sky was already dark, you two got up and left. Hoseok insisted on paying, even playfully threatening to throw your wallet away if you ever pulled it out of your pocket.
“I’m sure she doesn't mind. She gave us free cupcakes.” He replied, pointing to the box resting on your lap.
“Are you sure you don't want to take this?” you asked because he handed you the box as soon as the lady gave it.
“Yeah, just update me with your review about it. I'm interested to hear more about your thoughts.”
You bit your lip from hearing that, “Okay.”
After a few minutes of listening (and singing along) to songs that played in his stereo, you arrived in front of your building. Of course, Hoseok opened your door for you. He helped you with the bag you brought to school so you could carry the flowers and cupcakes.
“Should I help you to your apartment?” He asked while you slid your bag into your arm, struggling.
You gave up, letting him take your bag and the cupcakes, “Okay. Come in.”
You opened the door to your building and led the way to the stairs. He assured you that he was okay as you kept on looking back at him. And when you unlocked your apartment, you turned around.
"Do you want to go inside? Water, juice, or anything to drink?” You offered before putting the things on the counter near your door.
He smiled, “It's fine, I can't stay for too long. My next shift is at nine. I just want to make sure you'll make it to your door without dropping any of those.”
You looked down at your watch, “Oh my god. It’s already past eight. You should go! I should've taken a cab.”
“YN, it's okay! It's still early.” he chuckled. “Plus, I had a really great time talking with you.”
Your stomach flutters, looking at him. You noticed the same smile you saw earlier.
“I hope this isn't the last time we'll go out.”
You nodded, “Of course. Martha did it right this time.”
“How about next weekend? Sunday?” he asked.
“Sure, I’ll be back from Seoul by then.”
His eyebrows raised, “Really? I’m going to be in Seoul for a conference on Saturday. When are you coming there?”
“The same day! I’m going to visit some friends.”
“Maybe we can go there in Seoul together? So you don't have to commute.” He offered.
“That sounds good!” You agreed before looking down at your watch again. “But I think you should go now. I know you still have to do stuff before going to work.”
“Okay. Let's just talk about it later.”
“Okay. Thank you for the flowers and everything, Hoseok,” you state before leaning in to give a quick kiss on his cheek.
He smiles, “You're welcome, YN. Tonight was great.”
“Text me when you make it to the hospital. Drive safely! Good night.”  You said as he walked back.
“Good night, YN.” He waved before walking down the stairs.
You closed the door to your apartment before leaning your back on it, looking at the yellow tulips on the counter.
What a lovely night.

Tumblr media
Mornings have never really been your thing.
Waking up at the crack of dawn almost every morning never got any easier. Especially not when you’re sleeping next to a human heater in a freezing cold room. He just made it that much harder to get up and out of bed. Which, resulted in you having to wake up even earlier so that you have more time to actually wake up and get ready for the day.
However, today was unlike that.
The sunshine was peeking through his blinds and bathing your face softly in its warmth. Again, it did not help the act of waking up.
You stirred a little, stretching your arms out above you, and when you went to put them down your left hand collided with warm flesh. You sighed contently at the revelation that you were able to sleep in today. Though when you looked at the clock you realized ‘sleeping in’ was only eight thirty.
Still, that’s a little over three hours of extra sleep, which you were eternally grateful for.
Rolling over onto your side you wrapped both your hands around the sleeping boy next to you. He softly exhaled, returning the gesture by wrapping both arms around you, holding you close to his chest.
You loved mornings like this, they made you feel safe, content even. The ones where the sun was up before you, waking up in a tangle of limbs and sheets, with no early morning training, and really nothing to do until the later evening was refreshing.
You drew patterns and shapes on Cole’s back, softly prompting him to wake up. As much as you wanted him to be able to sleep in, you wanted to enjoy the early hours before afternoon patrol. Alas, your plan was working.
Cole shifted a little and groggily lifted one of his hands to rub the sleep from his eyes. You felt his exhale on the top of your head as his thumb drew circles on your arm.
“Morning,” he said, his voice still laced with sleep.
“Good morning,” you responded, peeking up at him.
“W’time is it?” He asked.
“Round eight thirty,” you answered. “You know that’s still kind of early, but Zanes is probably making breakfast right now.”
Cole hummed, “I could go for breakfast.”
“Me too,” you yawned. “Come on then, up and at em.”
Cole made a noise of protest when you detangled yourself from both him and the comforter.
Immediately your skin erupted in goosebumps from the lack of warmth that Cole provided. You visibly shivered, and he must’ve noticed because he wrapped his arms around your stomach pressing your back to his chest.
“You’re making getting up so much harder.” You accused, though against your better judgment you sank back against him.
“Just trying to be nice,” he laughed, pressing a soft kiss to the base of your neck.
“Yeah well you can be nice when we get out there,” you removed his hands despite his protests.
You swung your legs over the side of the bed, feet making contact with the cold hardwood flooring.
You raised your arms above your head, stretching your back in the process. Padding your way to Cole’s bathroom, you saw you already had some of your stuff in there. You picked up the toothbrush you kept in his room for days like this and brushed your teeth. Once you finished you looked up and saw Cole leaning against the doorframe through the mirror.
You gave him a playful glare. “Were you just watching me brush my teeth?” You asked him. “Because if you were, I ask that you erase it from your memory.”
“You’re always beautiful to me,” he said, wrapping you in a hug from behind. “Even if you’re spitting out toothpaste-”
“Alright,” you shoved him off as he started laughing. “You just had to ruin the moment. Brush your teeth, put some pants on, and let's go.”
“Fine,” he groaned. “Don’t leave without me though.”
“Wouldn’t dream of it,” you laughed pecking his cheek.
Then, you wandered back into his cozy bedroom. Most of the time you ended up in his room anyway. Usually you only went to your room for a change of clothes, and even right now you were only half the clothes you wore were yours. You were dressed in one of Cole’s AC/DC shirts and your own purple plaid pajama shorts.
As you heard the water running in the bathroom, you took the liberty of picking out what pants he was going to wear. You surfed through his drawer and saw your matching pjs–his black plaid pants.
“Here, these are for you.” You threw his pants at him as he exited the bathroom. “We’ll be matching.”
He shook his head laughing. “Alright, thanks.” He stepped into the clothing and slid them up over his boxers leaving just his chest bare. “Shall we?”
“We shall.” You grabbed his hand and led him out of his room and into the dining room.
Upon entering, you saw that the rest of the team was already there. Although Zane was nowhere to be seen, he was probably cooking.
“Morning everyone,” you greeted, taking a seat.
“Morning you two,” Lloyd responded, reading a comic book.
The others sent their good morning greetings as well.
Everyone was in the dining room, including the Sensei’s and Misako. Wu was reading the paper, and Garmadon and his wife hunched over old scrolls.
Kai scrolled on his phone, probably texting Skylor. No one really knew what was going on with them, you just hoped she’d agree to go out with him. He needed her in his life, someone to challenge his hotheadedness.
Nya and Jay were both working on a new robot. Now they were set in stone, both engineers and insanely smart, they were made for eachother. Nya worked on the actual design and exoskeleton while Jay worked on what looked like a motherboard, or some sort of tech thing he was good at.
The whole thing just screamed domestic household, when in reality that was far from the case.
Sure, you all loved and respected each other, but the monastery was not without chaos. Chaos you all knew too well. Either someone stole something, or ate the last of the cereal and put the empty box back in the pantry, or some ridiculous thing like that.
Shockingly, it was already almost nine and there were no incidents. However, you had a sneaking suspicion that something was bound to happen.
From on the table, Lloyds phone rang. Unlike usual, he quickly dropped his comic and replaced it with his phone. He read whatever was on the screen and smiled like a schoolgirl receiving a love letter.
You cast a suspicious glance at the boy who was pretty much everyone’s younger brother, then up at Cole to see if he thought anything of Lloyds behavior.
Obviously, checking your phone is usually a normal thing, but Lloyd never put down a comic for his phone. The only thing he ever used his phone for was texting and occasionally going on social media, and even then he rarely did that.
Cole didn't seem to think anything of the young Green Ninja’s new found involvement in his phone. He simply gazed down at where our fingers were interlocked and gently fiddled with our fingers.
“Sleep well?” Wu asked, not looking up from the paper. “I know Cole could sleep forever if given the chance, I’m glad he has you to pull him out of his slumber.”
Cole looked up from our fingers bashfully. “Not true Sensei,” he said.
Sensei Wu simply hummed, not very convinced. He turned the page of the paper, picked up his tea and took a sip.
“Actually,” Jay piped up, “it’s very true. You know before you guys started dating, on our days off he’d sleep until at least noon. Even then he didn’t even come out of his room till around one or two. He’s like a hibernating bear.”
You hid a giggle behind your free hand. Cole glared at you before his gaze moved onto his best friend. “Yes, thank you for that very vivid picture you’ve painted for us.”
“Happy to be of service,” the master of lightning winked, tweaking something on his circuit board.
Cole opened his mouth to retort when someone else entered the dining room– Zane.
“Would you guys help me carry the food inside?” He asked.
Instantly, everyone was on their feet, save for the elders. Everyone was starving, and the faster you got the food on the table the faster you could eat it.
Just as quickly, the banter and harmless insults started. You lost Cole’s hand in the process falling in line behind the boys next to Nya.
The two of you watched as they shoved, and poked innocent fun at each other. They were the most wholesome definition of ‘boys will be boys’. You gave Nya an adoring smile, which she returned.
Everybody each took a serving of food to bring back to the dining room. Thankfully, since there were seven of you, everyone was able to bring everything back in only one trip.
You were still shocked that there was this much food. Though, when you live in a house with five teenage boys who need to consume like 5,000 calories a day, the portions of meals got larger.
Once everything was set down, and everyone in their seats, Zane uncovered the foil keeping the plates warm.
Instantly, a bunch of delicious smells hit you at once: bacon, ham, pancakes, and potatoes in multiple forms. Your mouth instantly watered, as did everyone else's. Everybody took turns grabbing at food, and thanking Zane for keeping you all fed.
You started eating immediately after until you couldn't see the bottom of the plate anymore. Soon, the table fell into easy conversation, and the sound of utensils scraping against plates followed.
You heard the ping of Lloyd’s phone again. Looking up from your food and saw his eyes glued to his phone, comic book discarded off to the side. You listened carefully, his heart rate had subtly increased, and the blood pressure in his face began to rise.
You wondered what, or maybe who was making him smile like that. Not that you’re complaining–Lloyd deserved to be happy, and you hoped whoever he was texting kept making him smile.
Before you could dwell more on it, you felt a soft hand drawing featherlight circles on your thigh. Looking over you saw that the hand belonged to Cole.
“Very clingy this morning,” you stated.
“That a bad thing?” He asked, though you both know the answer to that.
“Of course not,” you smiled, pecking his cheek.
A disgusted snort came from across the table.
“You two are so sappy, it’s like watching an old married couple interact.” Kai said through a mouthful of bacon.
Like he would know what it’s like to be in a committed relationship. He had fawned over Skylor when you’d first met her at the tournament of elements. And yet after all that flirting he still hasn’t asked her out. He claims to be the most charming and charismatic, but he never really owns up to that title.
“Don’t worry,” you said through bites of food, “I’m sure once you finally man up and ask out Sky you’ll be doing the same thing.”
He threw a small piece of bacon at you, and the table burst into soft laughter. Yeah, some mornings were the worst, but ones like these weren’t so bad.

Aizawa x student!reader - safe with me
Tumblr media
Pulling your sleeves down, you glanced at your fellow student then back to the ground.
“Do you know how we’re going to beat him?” Todoroki asked.
You shook your head.
“Your quirk allows you to manifest wings and electricity right?”
You quickly nodded your head.
“Perfect, we can use that, I’ll keep using my quirk and you use yours, but only the lightening, let me know if it starts acting weird.”
You nodded again.
When Todoroki began running you ran after him, focusing on the black lightening that was surrounding your arms.
Most likely you would be Aizawa’s first target, if he could erase your quirks and trap you it would be easier for him to get to Todoroki.
He knew that you excelled in long distance combat, that you had precision over your electricity, so it would make sense.
“When we’re close, we split up, I’ll distract him and you fly straight for the exit.”
“Right…” you mumbled.
You guys kept running, and the moment that you were close, you ran down a different street.
With a small snap your wings manifested behind you, and you jumped into the air, immediately taking flight.
You glanced down to see Todoroki fighting with the teacher, and you wanted to give him a fighting shot as well, so you aimed your lighting at Aizawa.
Except when it came to the discharge you panicked, firing just to the side of him instead as an almost warning shot.
Todoroki used this as his chance to get away, and you dived down to reach him, holding your hand out as he reached his hand up.
You had control, then you suddenly lost it.
You began a free fall towards the ground.
You screamed in pain as your wings were forcefully removed from your back.
“(Y/N)!”
Todoroki jumped, catching your before you could crash into the ground and the force sent you both tumbling across the street.
Pushing yourself to the side, you sat on your knees, body trembling with pain as you took a few deep breaths to try and push it behind you.
“You’re bleeding.” He said quietly.
Todoroki reached out, and you pushed his hand away, slowly sitting up.
“Keep going…”
He nodded his head.
You weren’t one to insist on things, everybody knew that, so this was important to you, and he wasn’t going to take that away from you.
Grabbing your hand, he pulled your back.
“Can you get your wings back?”
You shook your head.
“No, it’ll be too much. I still have my electricity though.”
“I have an idea, can you control the voltage?”
You nodded your head and listened carefully to him.
Aizawa had heard your shout if pain, and he hadn’t actually meant to erase your quirk, he knew that it was dangerous, but out of reflex when he heard you he looked.
He was trying to find wherever you had gone, which is what lead him directly to the trap that you and Todoroki had set for him.
When you saw the teacher coming closer, you stood in front of Todoroki to protect him from the teachers quirk.
He froze the ground, then melted the ice so it was water, then he stood in front of you, and you placed your hands on the ground.
Lightening covered the water, and the moment Aizawa landed on it he was stunned.
It wasn’t enough to do any damage to him, merely render him incapacitated, and Todoroki acted quickly to cuff the teacher.
When it was announced that you two had passed, you quickly turned around and left the arena.
“Will (Y/N) please reported to Recovery Girl for an assessment of their injuries.” Nezu announced.
You listened to the announcement, but you didn’t follow what you were told.
You changed out of your hero costume, into your gym clothes and made your way home instead.
You didn’t want anybody looking at your back, you could handle it on your own.
Standing in front of your bathroom mirror, you looked over your shoulder as you activated your electricity quirk.
The black lightening crawled across your back, almost acting as stitches to bring the wound together, the heat burning the skin together.
It hurt a little, but you had done it plenty of times before and you had the scars to prove it.
Once it was sealed together you walked into your room and pulled on a hoodie, making your way to the kitchen to begin making your dinner.
Your phone was buzzing with missed calls and texts from your worried classmates.
Washing your hands, you made your way over to it to see the school has tried ti call you as well.
Muting your phone, you went back to cooking, just about to sit down to eat when your doorbell went, and you got back up.
Walking over you unlocked it and pulled it open.
“You were supposed to see recovery girl.”
You didn’t reply, and you went to close the door, only to be stopped by the teacher blocking you from closing the door.
“Not so fast. You still need to be looked at.”
You shook your head, and walked away, deciding if he was going to come in or stand there was up to him.
Walking back to the table you sat back down, and he walked over with recovery girl.
“You seem to be doing fine for somebody who serious back injuries.” She said.
You nodded your head.
“However I still need to have a look, so stop being so stubborn.”
She walked around, and you jumped up, turning to face her so she couldn’t look at your back.
“(Y/N) we’re not messing around, this is serious. We have to look at your back.”
You shook your head again.
He sighed, looking over at you, then to recovery girl.
“If that’s the case then you must be kept under observation for your own well-being. Are your parents home?”
You shook your head again.
“I’ll stay until they get back, thank you recovery girl, Nezu is still outside”
“Very well.”
She padded away, and you unsurely studied your teacher.
He could tell you didn’t trust him to go near you, you were scared and unsure.
You had never been the most confident of students, and he was hoping the final exam would’ve changed that for you, but it had somehow made it worse.
Aizawa pointed to your dinner, then he walked over to sit down on the couch.
“Eat. How long until your parents come home?”
You slowly walked over to the table, sitting back down, ignoring his question as you quietly ate your dinner.
Aizawa looked around the mostly bare apartment, you didn’t have much personal affects, if any.
There was no signs of any adult living there with you, he had only counted two other doors on his way into the living room, if he was right one would be a bedroom, the other a bathroom.
There wouldn’t be any room for anybody else to live there with you.
“Do you live alone (Y/N)?” He asked.
You nodded your head.
“Is there a reason for this?”
Again you nodded your head, not looking up from your dinner.
“You did well in the final exam today, a lot of people would have stopped after being hurt like that, you didn’t, you wanted to help your teammate win.”
You stayed quiet.
He sighed, getting up and he walked over to the table, pulling out the chair opposite you and he sat down.
“I wasn’t supposed to use my quirk on you, when I heard you moving I instinctively looked over, when I realised what I had done I deactivated my quirk.”
You stopped eating, pushing your food away from you.
“Is your back alright? I know that forcefully removing your wings is extremely painful for you.”
You sat quietly.
“I need you to tell me if your back is still bleeding (Y/N), and don’t lie to me, because we saw your suit, we saw the blood and Todoroki explained the injury to us.”
“It’s fixed…”
He furrowed his brows a little bit.
“Did you do that?” He asked.
You nodded your head.
“Is that part of one of your quirks?”
You gave a small shrug.
“I need you to understand that I would never intentionally harm you, I was hoping the final exam would be a chance to increase your confidence in yourself. I never meant to cause you injury, and I am sorry.”
You looked at him shock, never had you heard him apologise for anything and it seemed out of character for him, yet he seemed sincere.
You looked away.
“It’s fine…”
He nodded his head, deciding he wouldn’t push the subject any further.
“Do you mind if we talk about your living situation?”
You shrugged a little bit.
You were shutting down on him again.
“Hey, hey you’re not in trouble. I never came here to tell you off. It’s my job to make sure you’re safe.”
You nervously looked away.
“Are you safe?”
When you didn’t reply that gave him all the information he needed.
He had been building this information up since the staff of school, about your confidence, your fear of everything, your reluctance to use your quirks.
Aizawa had a pretty good idea of what was going on, and this was only confirming his suspicions.
“(Y/N)?”
You glanced at him.
“You’re safe with me.” He said softly.
You were so timid and scared, clearly you had been hurt and let down time and time again, but here you were, trying to be a hero so you could save other people, and that was something to admire.
He just needed to show you have to be confident in yourself, and show you that you’re safe from whatever you’ve been running front

cw: selfship-coded. part 2 of a sort to this meet-ugly. reader is a doctor and knows nami from her past.
“So what you mean to tell me right now is that you’re calling me when the medicine floor is full to bursting to admit a… reindeer to the hospital?”
You keep your voice neutral and professional as you talk through the transponder snail, who has picked up the characteristic protruding ears of one of your closest friends and coworkers.
“It’s complicated.”
You grimace.
“I’m not a vet, bestie, and neither are you.”
Your friend pauses on the phone for a moment, and you can tell the full force of the ridiculousness of the situation has finally hit him, but there was desperation in his voice, so you bite your lip, waiting for his response before you agree to go see his patient. Hopefully, it won’t take too long, you think, given that you’re alone managing the unit for the rest of the day.
Out of kindness, you sent your intern home early about an hour ago, thinking that today would shape up to be a quiet Sunday, possibly a piss poor decision. Things are still relaxed however, and as you gather up your things to leave the workroom, you listen intently to the rest of your friend’s report before you formally take a look at the purported animal patient.
“Its friends say that it apparently has a more human form, even if it looks the way it does today?”
Human form? “You think it’s Zoan Devil Fruit maybe?”
You’re marching down the stairs, almost tripping on the last two, when he replies, “Typically they revert to their human forms when they’re sick though, this looks like the opposite.”
“Humans are animals, too, I guess,” you muse. He doesn’t answer immediately, and you hear a sudden commotion in the background.
“Shit, gotta go,” he offers and he’s immediately off, and you watch the Transponder Snail stop responding. Setting it down at a nurse’s station in the emergency department, you locate the bay you were told to check in and find a bunch of people huddled, but not resuscitating, a few nurses clearly idling and chatting.
Pushing through gently until you can introduce yourself, you give your name,
“Hi, I’m Dr. ___”-
And before you can even pull back the curtain, the first person you see is not the reindeer that is sprawled out, eyes closed but still breathing with a steady, stable rhythm, but one of the most memorable people from your childhood’s striking tangerine hair, and you lose your breath temporarily.
“No fucking way,” she says, rising, and you, also shocked, in her all the memories of the past you try so hard to erase in your day to day, rushing back, until she throws her arms around you, and you throw your arms back around her.
She’s supposed to be in disguise, and later she’ll admit to you that it’s because she has a terribly large bounty on her head, but you don’t forget a face, especially around the eyes.
Even if it’s been years and years.
Sniffling, you pull away and thank her, before turning your attention to the bonafide reindeer - admittedly the cutest one you’ve ever seen - with a high fever sitting in front of you.
“Hey, Nami… tell me everything you know about him,” you say, your voice warm and thankful. “And let’s catch up later.”
“You know, part of me always wondered what became of you.” Nami states, once the three of you have been situated in a proper hospital room, an IV drip started by a somewhat reluctant nurse while other floor nurses and staff peer curiously through the window. You smooth the wrinkles in your scrubs and smile at her again, taking in the fact that the last time you saw each other you were just on the verge of turning 14, and you’d been trying to help her store a load of jewels she’d swiped from a jewelry store.
It was the second to last time you ever used your Devil Fruit powers for wrongdoing, and you try not to think about the true last time.
“I didn’t really imagine you’d become a doctor after all that,” Nami teases.
“It’s in my blood apparently,” is your simple response, one that warrants elaboration in the future. You tap the tubing of the IV and take another look at the young deer-man before you, who Nami says is named Chopper, pressing a finger to his calf to check for leg swelling briefly, then look back at her. “What are you doing here?”
“I’m a pirate now.”
You blink.
“I thought you hated pirates.” Your voice has softened into a whisper.
Nami smiles, the kind that seems to hold back a story that is far too grand to share all at once.
“And I thought you were a drug smuggler,” she says, with a wink. Your mouth opens and closes for a moment, and you say nothing else. Now is not the time really to explain how you got out of that situation, the least of all reasons because there could be prying eyes.
Changing the subject quickly, and also due to curiosity, you sit down ahead of her and ask for her to share to avoid having to spill your own dirty laundry, and your scheme works, as Nami recounts her years since the two of you parted ways and the pirate crew she’s grown to know and love.
And you hear one name more frequently than all the rest.
You take care of Chopper for three days and match a few more names to faces - Sanji, who somehow manages to toe the line of sexual harassment with all the nurses but never actually tips over it and Usopp who you wish would talk less and listen more. You have to admit that there’s a charm to the two of them that complements Nami well, even if she seems to be yelling at them half the time, and your talks with Chopper during rounding are fascinating as soon as he gets better. After the initial shock of a talking animal, you find that he is highly intelligent (probably more so than you), very susceptible to praise and also very kind.
Linking the four together is that same quality, kindness.
“Don’t you think maybe you’re trusting me a bit too much?” you muse, your thumb running the rim of a cocktail while Nami sips on her own drink, and Chopper a glass of freshly squeezed juice. “You do have insane bounties on your heads and I might not be the same person you met years ago.”
“I doubt you’ve changed,” Nami says somewhat confidently. She looks around at the tavern, and with the lack of wanted posters on the walls anywhere and the relative reclusiveness of this town, her guard is down. She leans in. “Unless you’ve set us up already, and in that case perhaps I’d have to kill you.”
There’s a short pause, and the two of you burst into laughter, even if Chopper for a moment looks between the two of you with a mild concern.
“I’m glad you came with me today though, because I haven’t been here in a week since there’s a weird guy I’ve been trying to avoid here and I was starting to miss the food.”
Nami’s eyebrows raise.
“Oh, what does he look like?”
“Like average height, dressed like it’s summertime, and-” you pause and duck.
Speak of the devil.
“Ugh, he’s here,” you whisper from practically under the table. Nami takes a look back, and to your horror she waves.
And her illustrious captain and your meet ugly collide into one person with a big wide smile.
“Great to see you again!”
It finally occurs to you that the names were the same - Luffy.

Since day one
Tumblr media
Summary: There’s always been feelings lingering around between Y/n and Trent, and suddenly one night changes everything for the two best friends.
Fluff
﹋﹋﹋﹋﹋﹋﹋﹋﹋﹋﹋﹋﹋﹋﹋﹋﹋﹋﹋﹋﹋
He never meant to make you cry, until he did. You stared at the raindrops on the car window whilst Trent tried to talk to you, but you just heard muffles of his voice. You tried your best to erase the memory of him kissing her, but it kept replaying in your head. You didn’t want to go back to his house, he didn’t even know that you witnessed the kiss.
He was confused, he asked and asked many times but received no answer. He wondered what he did wrong. Was it something he said? No.
Trent didn’t know he broke your heart tonight.
“Y/n talk to me, what’s wrong?” He asked once again. He looked over at you and searched for your eyes but he failed.
The worst thing about it is that you’re not even allowed to get this hurt. You were friends.
He can do whatever he wants and so do you. But your heart longs for him. To him you’re just his absolute best friend. But for you, he’s everything you’ve ever dreamed of. The sweetest boy you’ve ever known, and oh how much love you have for him that he doesn’t know.
“Can you just drop me off at my apartment?” You spoke up for once.
“Sure, you’re not gonna tell me what’s going on anyways.” Trent angrily said as he parked in your driveway.
Usually you two stay in the car talking before you leave, but this time you didn’t. You slammed the door and he drove off.
You got inside and dropped all your things on the floor, tired and wanted nothing more than to sleep.
Trent: You left me with no explanation at all
You left him on read, not bothered to answer him after what happened tonight. You felt bad, he didn’t deserve to be ignored like that, but you couldn’t help how you felt.
You laid awake in your bed, unable to fall asleep. And you wished that you could wake up in the morning and forget what happened but that would be impossible.
You opened your phone and saw a missed call from Trent, it was late as well so he must be up at this hour like you.
He called again.
“Hello? You there Y/n?” He started.
“It’s late why are you calling me T?” You implored as you got up from your bed then into your kitchen to grab a glass of water.
”Why’d you mean why did are you calling me? I’m worried about you.” He said and you sat down by your couch.
“There’s nothing to worry about Trent.” You firmly confirmed. But he didn’t listen, he never does.
“You’re my best friend Y/n, I know something’s wrong. Did something happen at the party?”
“Best friend.”
You wanted to cry, to rant out all of your feelings. Yes of course something happened at the party, your heart got broken, and he didn’t even realise it. Did he even think about you when he kissed that girl?
There was always this lingering feeling between the two of you. That you liked each other maybe more than friends. But then why did he kiss her? Was he lying about how he felt about you all the time? Was it was just like a game to him?
A while ago he confessed his feelings, and so did you. It was just something that happened and afterwards it didn’t lead to anything.
You found yourself waiting like a fool for him.
“I’ll be at yours in 10.” Trent insisted and you didn’t get to speak before he hung up.
Great, you tought.
It didn’t take long until Trent arrived at your apartment, you got up from your couch to open the door for him. You immediately met his brown eyes and smelled his familiar perfume.
“I just want to talk.” He started and walked with you to your couch.
“There’s nothing to talk about Trent.” You said, avoiding his gaze on you.
“Don’t shut me out, let me help you.” He sighed as he took your hand but you declined his touch.
“No.” You said almost in a whisper.
“She was really pretty.” You began, you didn’t hesitate to bring it up although you knew that it would probably hurt you if Trent was about to explain it.
“I’m sorry, who?” He inquired as he furrowed his eyebrows.
“The girl you kissed.” You revealed as you watched his face expression change.
“Look,” He says. “I know I should’ve probably told you before, that I was seeing someone.” He shared.
Trent wanted to tell you all the time, but he knew that he couldn’t do that to you. It would hurt him too but he didn’t know why exactly.
In the time you and Trent has been friends he never once had a girlfriend. And now you haven’t given much a thought to the fact that he might actually want one. Because you knew that he was interested in you, he always have been. He’s just not good to explain his feelings, afraid that the feeling isn’t mutual even though he knows it is.
“Alright, okay.” You answered and forced a smile.
“I’m sorry I should’ve mentioned it earlier.”
“It’s not that serious anyway Y/n.” Trent went on, still unable to figure out why you are upset.
“And do you love her?” You bluntly asked and faced your head down, afraid that you’ll cry and that Trent will notice.
“Y/n, why do you care?” He questioned and you felt tears running down your cheeks.
“I don’t know maybe because we both know well that we have feelings for each other?” You snapped and looked him in the eyes.
“Don’t look at me like that.” Trent sniffled with glossy eyes, allowing his tears to run down his cheeks.
“I really like you Y/n,I really do. I just didn’t want to ruin our friendship.” He continued confessed as you walked away from him into your room. Trent followed you and watched as you walked back and forth, figuring out what to say.
“Then why did you kiss her Trent?” You said and stopped to look at him.
“I don’t know, it was stupid of me. And no Y/n I don’t love her because..” He explained then paused.
“Because?” You pushed.
“Because you’re like the only girl I’ve ever loved really.” Trent continued and you didn’t believe what you were hearing.
“H-how long?” You stuttered, and inside you wondered how long he’s kept this from you.
“Since day one.” Trent proclaimed and took a step forward closer to you. He knew that you were shocked, and he doesn’t know how long he’s been blaming himself from keeping this from you.
You decided to close the gap between your lips. Trent placed his hands on your waist and you wrapped your arms around his neck. You’ve been dreaming of this moment since you were a teenager, falling in love with him for the first time.
It’s always been on the tip of your tongue, but you always stop yourself from saying it and tell yourself that it’s not the right time or something else. But when Trent kisses you like he do and confesses his feelings for you, you can’t help to admit that you love him. More than a best friend.
“Trent, I think I love you.” You whispered and he smiled against your lips, leaning in for a kiss again.
Trent’s shoulders relaxed as soon as he heard you say ‘I love you’. It was like everything in his life had fallen into place now that he got the girl of his dreams.
“Can you stay the night with me?” You asked him and Trent nodded in response, then you two immediately dozed off in your bed.
You found it funny how fell asleep with the boy who broke your heart only for him to win it back a few hours later.
The both of you loved each other unconditionally, since day one.

Soulmates? Yeah, right, pft. - Ch. 17
When you turn sixteen, and your soulmate's name doesn’t appear anywhere on your body that you can find, you figure you had to be the only person on the planet who didn’t have one. Most of the town shuns you, so you stick close to family. Your Aunt Ellen raised you after your parents died in a car crash when you were two, but what happens when the Winchesters return to town and buried secrets begin to come to light?
Pairing: Mechanic Dean Winchester x OC Reader/You
Word Count: 3541
Warnings: Angst, suspense, emotional situations, Fluff. (You will need the tissues for this one.) Dean being a sweetheart.
A/N: This is my non-Supernatural fic I'm attempting. Please let me know what you think, as I always love hearing from my readers.
----------------------------------------- Chapter 17
Dean carried you up the steps and into the house, the warmth of his body and the steady sound of his heartbeat providing a sense of safety and comfort. You leaned your head against his shoulder, closing your eyes as you savored the moment.
He’s safe.
Inside the house, everyone was gathered in the main room. The moment they saw you in Dean’s arms, a wave of worry swept over them. Dean gave them a reassuring smile, though Ellen immediately rushed over to the two of you, her face a mixture of relief and concern. She looked down, taking in the sight of your wrists, as well as the cuts and scrapes on your feet.
“Oh, sweetie,” she breathed out, her voice filled with sympathy and relief. “I’m so glad you’re back.”.
“I’m okay, Aunt Ellen,” you tried to reassure her, and the others. You were there, so were they, and Dean was safe, and that was enough for you at the moment.
Crowley, ever the strategist, motioned for one of the servants. " Fetch the medical supplies,” he instructed calmly, his eyes assessing the situation. “Let’s get those wounds cleaned up.”
Dean carried you into one of the sitting rooms, gently setting you down on one of the couches. The others followed closely, a sense of shared relief and concern hanging in the air.
Sam stepped forward, a look of regret on his face. “I hate to do this, Y/N, but I have to take pictures, for the case,” he said apologetically, pulling out his phone.
You nodded, understanding the necessity. “It’s okay, Sam. Whatever will put that family behind bars at this point, I’m willing to help with.”
Just then, the servant returned with a slew of first-aid supplies, carefully setting them on the table. Without hesitation, Dean started tending to your wounds, his movements gentle, yet focused. As he cleaned and bandaged your wrists, you couldn’t help but feel grateful for the care and support surrounding you.
Your focus was more on Dean, though. You could see the tension in his jaw, the way his eyes flickered with worry every time he touched your skin. It was almost as if you could feel the weight of his guilt pressing down on you, too. Even as Sam took the photos for the case, the room and others seemed to blur and fade away, leaving only the two of you in that moment.
What is the last piece he hasn’t told me yet? Why isn’t he guarding his emotions like he used to?
When Sam finally finished, Dean shifted his focus to your feet, his hands steady as he gently cleaned each scrape. The alcohol was cold, and the sting of it against your skin made you wince. Still, there was something comforting about the way he worked—careful, precise, as if he was trying to erase every trace of pain you had endured.
His touch reminded you of all the times he had taken care of your mark, and a small smile crept onto your lips despite everything. You watched him intently, trying to piece together the whirlwind of emotions that had been building since Meg had rescued you. You didn’t even notice everyone else leave the room as you focused on the man tending to your wounds.
“What’s going on in that pretty little head of yours?” Dean’s voice was soft, almost hesitant, as he gently dabbed another scrape along the edge of your foot. You could hear the weariness in his words, but the raw emotion beneath them—the worry, the regret—you felt it.
“Just wondering what changed,” you replied quietly, still watching him. “Why you’re letting your guard down,”
Dean sighed heavily, his breath shaky. The guilt he had been carrying seemed to grow heavier, pulling him down, but he knew he couldn’t avoid the truth much longer. “I thought I lost you,” he admitted, his voice barely more than a whisper. The vulnerability in his tone sent a chill through you. You had never seen him like this—so open, so raw.
You blinked, your heart catching in your throat. You’d spent months keeping things between the two of you strictly friendly, even though deep down, you knew it was more than that. Your heart had quietly slipped away, and somewhere along the line, you had fallen in love with him. But that unspoken fear had always lingered in the back of your mind: what if his name wasn’t the one meant to show up on you?
“I told you,” Dean whispered, lifting his gaze to meet yours. The intensity in his green eyes made your breath hitch. “I know you’re my soulmate.” Goosebumps pricked along your skin, and you felt yourself freeze, caught between the longing and the fear. It was like a storm of emotions crashed through you all at once—hope, dread, confusion. Hope had broken you too many times before, and even now, you didn’t want to let the spark ignite. Fear could be a tremendous motivator or a crippling monster.
Dean finished with your feet and lifted you again with the same ease he had before, carrying you down the hall. Your eyes remained on him as he walked, observing the lines of stress on his face, the sadness in his eyes, and the weight he seemed to carry on his shoulders.
He looks so lonely, sad.
When Dean finally stopped, you realized with a start that he hadn’t taken you to your room. Instead, he set you down on a bed in a different room altogether. Confused, you looked around before glancing up at him.
“Why didn’t you take me to my room?” you asked, your brow furrowed in puzzlement.
“It’s technically a crime scene right now,” Dean explained, closing the door. “The cops and FBI are in there, then they have to get your statement,” He finished as he sat down next to you on the bed.
You hadn’t considered that. The thought of your room being treated as a crime scene or that you’d have to tell anyone the details of what had happened. It made your stomach twist, a stark reminder of what had just happened. It also explained why Meg had stuck around longer than you’d expected.
“I didn’t see any cars outside when Meg brought me back,” you said, trying to make sense of the situation.
“They parked near one of Crowley’s side entrances,” Dean replied, but his thoughts were clearly elsewhere. His gaze shifted to the floor, as though he was wrestling with something much bigger than just logistics.
There was a weight between you now—something unsaid, lingering in the air. It wasn’t the first time you’d felt it, but this time, it was far more intense, like you were feeling him. You could see it in his eyes, and his body language. Whatever he had to tell you, it was clearly deeper than the things he’d already shared with you, and it had been gnawing at him for a long time.
And the fear of what it could be… gnawed at you too. Gingerly, you reached out and placed your hand on his forearm, a small but deliberate gesture meant to comfort him, even though your own heart was tangled in knots. Something inside of you had shifted during the short time you were held captive. The entire time you were tied to that chair, your thoughts hadn’t been on yourself or what they might do to you. No. All you could think about was Dean—whether he was safe, whether they had gotten to him too.
You wanted to tell him that you wouldn’t get mad or be upset, but deep down, that wasn’t a promise you could make. Your emotions were raw, too close to the surface, but you pushed them down, trying to focus on the man next to you—the man who had been your rock these past three months.
“Dean, please just tell me,” you whispered, your voice carrying the weight of your vulnerability. “I might need time to process it, but I need to know.”
Your eyes searched his face, pleading for the truth, for the one thing he was still holding back. You could see how hard he was struggling, the way his shoulders tensed under the weight of whatever it was he hadn’t told you. He seemed to be carrying a burden so heavy it was crushing him, and you couldn’t stand to see him like this—so broken, so defeated. It was a stark contrast to the man you’d spent the last three months living with while hiding in the bunker.
Dean’s chest tightened at your words, at the gentle pressure of your hand on his arm. He wanted to tell you, to just get it out, but the fear of losing you—of seeing disappointment or anger in your eyes—it was almost paralyzing. It was like every nightmare he’d ever had about losing someone he loved was playing out in real time, and he was the tipping point.
He felt like everything was riding on the one thing he hadn’t told you and that, somehow, you’d hate him for keeping it from you. Dean felt your fear as if it was his own. He recognized the way it tugged at his soul, as it had before, on far too many occasions. He couldn’t even bring himself to look at you, with as guilty as he felt.
“You’ll hate me…” he murmured, his gaze fixed on the floor as if somehow the words he needed would appear there.
Something in you had changed, and this was the moment you realized it. It was almost as if you’d been living with the color drained out of everything before. You literally felt how heavy this was for him, how afraid he was you really would hate him, and how guilty he felt for not telling you sooner.
Scooting closer to him on the bed, you leaned your head on his shoulder, gently rubbing circles on his forearm with your thumb. “No matter what you tell me or what it is, I could never hate you, Dean. I might get upset or angry and need to process it, but I’d never hate you for it,” you explained softly.
Dean took another shaky breath, setting his hand over yours. Your closeness and soft words calming his nerves as he let your emotions move through him. The way you were trying to reassure him despite the turmoil he knew you were feeling made his heart hope, even briefly. “I hadn’t wanted to tell you this, not with everything you’ve already been through,” he began quietly, his voice still thick with emotion as he stared at the floor.
You stayed quiet, your focus entirely on soothing the turmoil Dean was clearly battling. The absence of his usual smile, the one that always seemed to lighten the mood, almost breaking your heart. “Because you’re an empath… if you chose to believe that I was your soulmate…” he continued, still heavy with worry. It sounded so unfair in his head, no matter how he worded it. “If you trusted me…”
When he went quiet again, you gave his arm a gentle squeeze. His emotions were almost overwhelming for you to feel, and you had no clue how to ease his pain. “I do trust you,” you replied softly, though you couldn’t quite grasp why he was so fixated on trust.
Dean shifted slightly, turning to face you more fully, mentally telling himself that you needed to know this before your birthday tomorrow. The way you looked at him—so sweet, so trusting, almost innocent—brought a small, fleeting smile to his lips. Despite never admitting it aloud, he knew he loved you from the very beginning. When he gently cupped your cheek in his hand, and you leaned into his touch, your eyes fluttering closed with that comforting smile on your lips, all he wanted to do was pull you into his arms and never let go.
“I know you trust me, but that’s not the kind of trust I’m talking about,” his voice softened, but the weight of his words brought a tightness through your chest, causing you to meet his gaze. “I mean to trust that I’m your soulmate,” he whispered, wanting nothing more than to kiss you and show you what you meant to him.
The missing piece…
Dean’s confession lingered in the air, and your mind raced to connect all the pieces of information you had. Yeah, your life had been a sort of trainwreck, but this wasn’t something you were expecting him to say. He’d become your best friend in a short amount of time, and the way he had always been there to comfort you and literally read you like a book had your mind going a million miles a minute.
You felt his worry, his fear that his words would cause you to pull away from him. So, you leaned closer. His touch soothed you, even if you were terrified to trust anyone that much. Before you could respond, he spoke again.
“I also know that hope has only hurt you,” he whispered, his voice cracking despite his efforts to remain strong. You saw the glistening of unshed tears in his eyes that he refused to let fall. “I know what I’m asking of you, and that’s why I hadn’t wanted to tell you.”
It was too much for you. This was the man who had been your rock for the last three months, who had always been smiling and would say something ridiculously funny to lighten the mood and make you smile. And now, here he was, breaking in front of you, needing more than just comfort. You wanted to let yourself trust him in the way he was asking.
Dean’s hand was warm against your cheek, grounding you in the moment. His thumb brushed lightly over your skin, a gentle, almost absent-minded gesture that spoke volumes about how he felt. Taking a shaky breath, you made a choice—a deliberate choice—to let him in, to let yourself feel the emotions you’d been too scared to share with anyone but your journal.
“If I could choose anyone to be my soulmate, I’d choose you, every time,” you whispered, your voice trembling as a tear slipped down your cheek. Your emotions crashed over you in waves, mixing with his in a way that felt both terrifying and right.
Dean’s restraint finally broke. He couldn’t hold back any longer. His hand slid from your cheek to the back of your head as he pulled you closer, his lips finding yours in a kiss that was both desperate and tender. It was a kiss that spoke of everything he’d been holding back, of the depth of his love and the fear of losing you.
The kiss deepened, and for a moment, the world around you faded away, leaving only the two of you. It was as if time had slowed, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the warmth and passion that flowed between you. You could feel his heart pounding in sync with yours, the connection between you slowly healing and growing stronger.
Neither of you noticed the rising sun outside, its light casting a soft, golden glow through the curtains. The room felt surreal, almost magical, as if this moment was suspended in time, just for the two of you. When you finally pulled back, breathless, you rested your forehead against his, your eyes still closed as you savored the closeness. The weight of what had just happened settled over you both, but instead of fear, you felt a sense of calm—a peace in your soul you hadn’t even realized was possible.
It would have been nice to just bask in the moment with each other and let everything in the world melt away, but that wasn’t how reality worked. Reality has a way of intruding, even on moments like this. A knock on the door broke the spell, the sudden sound jolting you both back to the present. The door opened before you could react, and a man in a police uniform stepped into the room, followed closely by Sam, Crowley, two other officers, a medical examiner, and Ellen.
“Y/N Y/L/N, we need to get your statement,” the officer stated, his tone all business, as if unaware or simply indifferent to the moment he had interrupted.
You turned to face the group, feeling the warmth of Dean’s hand still on your back, grounding you amidst the sudden influx of people. Ellen moved quickly to your other side, sitting on the bed and wrapping a protective arm around your shoulders. Her presence brought a mix of emotions that weren’t your own—worry, relief, and that fierce protectiveness she always had when it came to you. You felt her emotions, and it was an odd sensation, as you knew they weren’t yours.
This is gonna take some getting used to, you thought, taking a slow, deep breath. Dean’s hand on your lower back was like an anchor, helping you stay calm as the medical examiner knelt in front of you and began removing the bandages to check your wounds. The slight sting as he worked was a reminder of the ordeal you’d been through, but Dean’s steady presence kept you grounded.
As the examiner worked, one of the officers began asking you questions, and another scribbled down your answers. Sam and Crowley, being your lawyers, stood close by, ready to step in if you needed them. Their reassuring presence reminded you that you weren’t alone, even as you dredged up the painful memories.
The questions were hard to answer, each one forcing you to relive the nightmare, to recount details you’d rather forget that had happened mere hours ago. The medical examiner finished just as you were wrapping up your statement, carefully rebandaging the wounds on your wrists and feet.
“Thank you, Miss Y/L/N,” the initial officer said as he gathered his notes, his tone softening slightly as he acknowledged the difficulty of what you’d just done. One by one, the others filed out, leaving just Sam, Dean, and Ellen with you.
Ellen pulled you into a gentle hug, pressing a kiss to your forehead. “You did good, sweetie,” she whispered before she followed the men out, leaving you with the brothers.
Dean immediately wrapped you in his arms, his embrace gentle yet firm, like he was trying to shield you from the world. His hand moved in slow circles on your back, a calming rhythm that helped you focus on your breathing, on the here and now. The comfort of it allowed you to take slow, deep breaths and melt into him, your arms tightening around his waist as you let the tension slowly drain away.
“You want some coffee, Y/N,” Sam asked softly while also having a silent conversation with his brother. He’d seen your collarbone when he’d walked into the room; they all had.
You hummed at the thought of the warm, soothing liquid but were also conflicted with wanting to curl up and sleep in Dean’s arms. Knowing he probably wasn’t going to be able to sleep, you decided to opt for the coffee. “Sure,” you murmured, letting out a content breath.
“Bring her down when she’s ready. The cops should be leaving soon,” Sam told Dean, and you could feel some of his emotions—concern, worry, and he was on edge.
Dean only nodded before Sam stood and left the two of you alone again. Having you in his arms, feeling the connection between the two of you stronger now than it had ever been before, sent a wave of relief through his body. It had been one thing to hold you close in the bunker when you two were watching a movie or even on the nights you had nightmares. Then, it always felt like there was a wall that kept him from feeling you on the level he knew was possible.
“I’m okay,” you whispered, giving him a gentle squeeze, feeling that hint of worry in him again.
He chuckled, “So now you get to read me like a book, huh?” he asked a bit playfully, grateful you were in his arms.
That made you giggle, thinking back on all the times he always seemed to just know what you were going through. “Is that what it was like, back at the bunker?” you asked, moving only enough so you could meet his gaze.
The smile that found its way to Dean’s lips brought a warmth to your soul, finally seeing that little sparkle in his eyes again. He tucked a strand of hair behind your ear, letting his hand slowly drift down to your shoulder, then your arm. “Something like that,” he chuckled softly, letting himself finally relax.
You hadn’t even noticed how your mark no longer bothered you in any way. You were too focused on the new sensation of feeling him and feeling the peace in your soul where there had once been only emptiness and pain. It had already been a long day, and it was far from over; the clock on the nightstand read seven-thirty-seven in the morning.
