I saw your post about your Nuzi headcanons and I have to say THEY ARE ADORABLE!

But it got me thinking, do you have any Vuzi headcanons?

I don't why but I've become obsessed with them in the past while and I wanted to know if you had any ideas for them since you made that incredible Vuzi comic a while back.

but yesss id love to take a swing at writing down my subconsciously decided vuzi headcanons too XD so lessee-

Some Vuzi Headcanons i got òvó:

This version being for AFTER everything is over with and V is ALIVE //or I'm going for Liam's neck personally//- but whether she's with N too or not is for your own interpretation, cuz for ME personally she gets with Uzi AFTER N and Uzi were already a thing together-

Starting a bit similar to the previous HCs, unlike with N, Uzi and V looooooooooooove calling eachother names- ranging from pet names to petty insults, they very hardly call each other their actual names lmao; and Uzi is probably the ONLY person that could get to call V pet names or flirt with her and get away unscathed- V has very little tolerance for anyone else. when actually trying to be intimate or flirty- Uzi loves calling V "Kitty" [cliche i know] and its one of the more acceptable pet names that V allows, but sometimes Uzi goes for pet names to actually make V blush and feel flustered, and those are usually from Uzis more compassionate side since V is allergic to romance apparently 🙄. calling V things like "my pretty", "gorgeous", "you wild thing"- drives V up the wall and she's stuck between wanting to bite Uzi's face off or rip her own off- and likewise when V wants to fluster Uzi she has her own range of heat fueled pet names like "baby bat/batsy", "cutie", "my little snacc"- and overall their job is to try and drive eachother insane lmao. less romantic names on both their sides would be=> [Uzi]: fatty, insufferable nutcase, dumb boob// [V]: shorty, edgy toaster, lil freakshow- and etc etc. TLDR: names.... they call eachother alot of names. that's it lmao.

They have a more avoidant relationship, where N and Uzi would seek comfort in one another, Uzi and V realize when the other isn't feeling well they need space to let off steam and trust one another enough that the other will come to them when they are ready. this isn't the most perfect way to deal with things given they are usually on a time crunch and need to get over their traumas quickly, but in the end they both know they are there for eachother when it matters the most.

teasing.... they do alot of that- although one would argue that V is the only one winning here 😭. V would not let the subject of Uzi being short go- if there's any moment that she could make the joke, she will not let the opportunity pass- anything relating to flustering or embarrassing Uzi absolutely goes- its not uncommon for N to walk in on the two fighting while V is just laughing and cooing at the other that she's just a cute lil baby while Uzi is trying her best to strangle the other without actually harming her. but then Uzi says that V is just a big dumb boob cuz that's all she could see from her pov and N is desperately trying to keep himself from laughing in the background-

V loves picking up Uzi.... that's it... she would never admit it out loud, but holding Uzi up, whether on her back or holding her from the front and feeling Uzi cling to her for support gives her immense internal joy, even if she doesn't show it in her expression. she often prefers picking Uzi up when they make out and this works in both their favors too cuz Uzi loves being taller lmao.

V wouldn't admit it but she is terrified of Uzi getting angry. like actually, genuinely, furiously LIVID level of angry Uzi is enough to make V curl her tail between her legs and just step away slowly. and Uzi.... when Uzi is mad, she talks sickeningly sweet to V. that's how V knows its time to fucking RUN or PERISH.

V is a lot more traumatized than N from Cyn's influence. during her comatosed state she can still vividly remember all the things Cyn had done to her in her mindspace, the same way N got to see all of his own mangled bodies in his own headspace, but unlike N she remembered all of it, hence why she turned into a neurological murder bot. So while she is with the others shes often scared opening up emotionally, and to fix this Uzi tries to force her for some cuddle times. don't get me wrong sometimes both N and Uzi have to literally WRESTLE V til she no longer has energy to fight back just to drag her in the cuddle pile. she usually doesn't talk much and even more rarely breaks down into crying but she's secretly grateful of having Uzi to sometimes force her into things she should do more often in order to heal, and one of those is learning to trust again.

V and Uzi have sparring sessions every now and then- tho sometimes V fights dirty- if you catch my drift lmao- and Uzi is weak for that shit, sadly 😔 Uzi finds herself contemplating her life choices when V is constantly giving her new kinks to consider smhhhh. it doesnt help that V doesnt treat Uzi as weak or breakable, she goes all out and Uzi is thankful to her about it. tho N would not touch this particular catfight between two wild ladies with a 100ft pole- [which would probably be the distance he's standing and watching from...just in case...]

funny enough most of their arguments end with makeout sessions. N cant tell if this is their way of flirting from the start or their way of making up after a fight....

V is secretly protective of Uzi, not interfering when Uzi is dealing with someone but standing a few steps behind her, brandishing her claws just in case, to send an obvious message.

V is absolutely rough when trying to be intimate. Uzi needs lots of energy to heal from bite marks but they always make sure the other is comfortable about it. but when Uzi is soft and gentle with her and focuses on being reassuring and loving towards her, V's a flustered incoherent mess-

despite being the more avoidant one, V is usually the one who initiates any intimacy- [mostly because Uzi is too short or busy or embarrassed to do so 🙄] and when she gets needy, Uzi feels internally giddy as though a cat has chosen her or something-

Uzi likes to ask V sometimes of any HAPPY memories she had back at the mansion.

• I like making plot alot too. And would love aus ones based off the former world building or other. Like examples: Modern,Sifi, Fantasy, medieval times, Greek mythology based,etc as long it's not too gorey like characters can get hurt but like over explaining in gorey detail. Not that people would usually do that with glee but you never know.

And I like even just coming up with the ideas together, or even just hearing your ideas. Which can be based on other medias concept but doesn't have to be exact. Because I find it's funner like kinda finding the story as we go too.

• I did one glee au where it was like some characters of glee were ghosts in a haunted house, and others were human and Blaine was a person who could see ghosts. He had to try to help them with there unfinished business of what kept there spirits there in that building. I love being super creative with these characters.

• So yeah I like being creative, and I enjoy drawing off of the source material too. Because even if we're not really drawing off canon for backstory I still want them to feel like them, even if it's kinda a bit are own take on the character. And yes I'm cool being other characters in the glee universe as side characters, if you do too. I just am only comfortable with Sam or Blaine as my main.

DROS CH3 Part 3 First Impressions

Ooh... the Tumblr post with a link to the doc says this one's a little longer than usual... Now that sounds like fun! :D Let's see!

Noah: It’s–

Kennedy: Don’t talk to them. That’s what the showrunners want." Oh dear, Kennedy's really doubling down on their theories, huh?

"Aidan: Whatever. I can leave, if you want me to.

Davis: Wh– there’s no reason to. Just because Kennedy is ordering us around doesn’t mean we have to listen. I’m surprised you’re so willing to go along with it, Aidan. You’re usually much more… resistant.

Kennedy: Usually? In the sense that you know each other usually?" Okay, first: Davis, Aidan's more on the camp of not bothering with anything annoying more so than actively defying any and all perceived slights against him, it makes sense he wouldn't want to deal with Kennedy. Two, Kennedy come on xD

"Ellis: Seriously, is there something in the air today? Is that the real motive? ‘Cause I feel like it’s not in Kennedy’s nature to settle so hard on one particular idea.

I look at Kennedy.

Ellis: “What if the showrunners want you to think that you shouldn’t be talking to the people they’ve made you believe are the mastermind and traitor?” Isn’t that what you’d normally be saying right about now?

Kennedy: The showrunners would want me to think that I can’t pin anyone down. They want paranoia to run rampant. I’ve targeted the correct choices, so moving forwards without doubt is the most important thing." It's true that Kennedy can sometimes get pretty stubborn on certain theories, though. Evidenced by how he's acting here lol.

"Paris: Speaking of which… I heard a little rule about the Customer Service Desk. Care to explain who returned the gun again, Aidan?

Aidan: Like I said, I did.

Paris: Well, I think everyone here should know that, even in the case of anonymous purchases, only the person who requested the item can return it. So, that means that Aidan’s either lying about returning it, or he checked it out in the first place~" Oh oh, right. This is not gonna do Aidan any favors in the mastermind defense case lmao.

"Aidan: Yeah, okay. Say what you want, I really don’t care.

Davis: Aidan?? You know that if you say stuff like that, they’re going to believe that you still have it, right…?

Aidan: And?

Davis: …You don’t.

Aidan: And how do you know that?

Davis: I… believe you when you say you don’t?

Aidan: I’m not saying anything." Okay now Aidan's not making any sense! What even is his angle anymore? I guess he doesn't want people to put together that someone else must have asked for the gun, and get paranoid over it, but I can't tell if that's really the case or if Aidan's just fed up with refuting arguments or something else entirely!

"Paris: It means that he’s someone we can’t fully trust, anyways. And honestly, the more Davis defends Aidan, no matter what he says or does, the more he’s starting to look guilty, too~

Vivi: Do we actually have to accuse people like this, though? There are plenty of other ways to outsmart the killing game…

Taylor: “The best way forward is to pursue multiple plans at once. If we can figure out each and every possible way to win and work on all of them at once, we’ll be enough steps ahead of the mastermind to actually escape!”" Paris hopping on the Aidan attack train? Vivi going against Kennedy's idea? Things are heating up! Also who is Taylor meant to be making an impression of here? I don't know xD

"Noah: It… makes some sense, I guess. And it’s kinda nice to know more about the situation…" As Ellis brings up in narration right after, yeah you don't know shit, you're just speculating. Noah might just be seeking comfort wherever he can find it, though, which makes sense.

"Paris: How’re you doing today?

Ellis: …Worse.

Paris: Sorry to hear that. Maybe try the Spa?

Jeff: Maybe try somewhere that’s not here.

Ellis: Hmph. I’ll hand out postcards next meal: “wish you weren’t here.”" Wow, Ellis is in a mood today! You love to see it! xD

"I’d much rather give people the opportunity to watch the gorgeous Ellis Ortiz apply sunscreen in a bikini!

Because I’m still intending on meeting up with Vanessa, who lives on the Third Floor, I go there to wait. The lower dorm area is also more… trafficked, so to speak. More potential for more eyes on me!" There's no one here and Ellis still isn't missing one! Truly, he does not relent!

"Davis: You aren’t giving me much to work with. I’m trying to defend you, but when you shut me down, I don’t know how to–

Aidan: I never asked you to defend me. You realize you’re just adding fuel to the fire, right? If you give them nothing, they’ll shut up eventually. By defending me, you’re just convincing them there’s more to it.

Davis: Are you sure? Because Paris chimed in today, and that made things worse. You’ve seen at the Trials, people are pretty prone to suspecting the most suspicious person until it’s disproved…

Aidan: Okay, then let people be suspicious of me! I don’t care. And you shouldn’t either." Yeah Aidan not giving a fuck is starting to really become a problem. You can't just "ignore and move on" your way out of every situation my guy. And poor Davis, he's really trying but it ain't working lol.

"Then again… if they don’t realize I’m here, I might learn something I wouldn’t have otherwise. If they really are the mastermind and traitor, and they don’t think they’re being listened to, there’s no reason for them to lie to each other." Okay wow. Seems like Ellis' own conspiracy theorist tendencies are still at play, even with one of Kennedy's more out there guesses lol.

"Davis: Is it… really such a problem that I care about you…?

Aidan: Why? I’m the suspicious loner who might have a gun on him and also might be the mastermind. Shouldn’t you, I don’t know, ignore me like everyone else? Decide that there are better people to spend your time with? Stop caring so much about someone who doesn’t care what happens? [...]

Aidan: Whatever. It’s your problem if you want to defend me. But, I’m telling you now, it’s a better idea for you to just let me sink my own ship." Hell yeah, elaboration on Aidan's mindset! Seems like he's decided he's unsalvageable and won't allow anyone to try and shake him from that idea. A classic case of "caring about your life is pretty hard and he's scared to try", perhaps? I wonder how he came to have such a mindset...

"I really thought they’d be on the same page in one way or another! But, like, not in a way that requires me to have any faith in these chumps– that’d be ridiculous." On the other corner, someone is having issues of their own with admitting they care about things lol.

"Davis: I’m… not sure exactly how to feel. I know that Kennedy’s wrong, but I don’t have a way to prove it, and I don’t know how to convince everyone to just… move on.

Ellis: Heh. You think it’d freak Kennedy out if you gave up?

Davis: Maybe…? I don’t know that fighting back is going to do much good. But, giving up and letting Kennedy run the show doesn’t feel great, either…

Ellis: Yeah, can’t disagree with that one." Davis going through it right now, holy hell.

"Ellis: So you did notice my swimsuit! Isn’t it worthy of some praise?!

Davis: Of course I noticed, you’re right there. It looks nice on you.

Ellis: Thank you. Jeez, what does it take to get some attention around here…?

I blink.

Ellis: Well, uh. Not in the way you’ve been getting it.

Davis: Unfortunately, that’s what everyone’s pretty fixated on at the moment. Myself included, I guess.

Ellis: Maybe you can distract ‘em with something else.

Davis: Such as?

Ellis: Uh… let’s see, what would distract me?

Davis: I’m not showing up to breakfast in a swimsuit." Okay these two are really funny together xD Needed that levity with all the shit that's currently hitting the fan lmao.

"Mark: Oh, hey. Are you guys heading to the Pool?

Vanessa: Yeah! Wanna join?

Mark: I probably won’t swim or anything, but I’ll keep you guys company." Interesting trio forming here, and with Jeff very possibly being at the Pool too, this might turn into a very unusual quartet lol.

"The three of us walk across the bridge to the Pool, where Jeff surprisingly isn’t." Or not! Hope he's not dead! (I doubt it but y'know, early kills are possible, especially with someone whose absence wouldn't raise too many eyebrows, so).

"Or maybe he’s dead." I swear to fucking god I hadn't read this far ahead before I wrote the other thing. The evidence that me and Ellis are the same keeps mounting xD

"Vanessa: Yeah, I kinda figured. You look a little silly in, like, a vest and everything at the poolside.

Ellis: Jeez, Vanessa. If I didn’t know better, I’d think that you were trying to get Mark to take off their clothes." Lmao.

"Mark: I can take my gloves off, if that’s a problem…?" I have wondered if there's anything plot relevant under those gloves, a la Kirigiri. I assume Mark would have noticed when they first showered, so I imagine either no or it's not something Mark would ask other people about (aka something like a scar as opposed to a tattoo a la Fenrir). My guess is on "nothing important under there" for now, though.

"Mark: Thanks, but at least for now, I’m fine just talking to you guys.

Vanessa: Aw, that’s sweet! I like talking to you, too.

Ellis: Thirded. It’s nice to have a break from crazytown over there." How sweet indeed! :D

"Mark pops back up above the water, sputtering a little.

Ellis: Oh, shit, do they not remember how to swim?" Oh that's a problem! Of all the things not to remember! Also, I doubt we're gonna have two drowning deaths, but it still worries me we're setting that up as a possibility :p

"Mark: Sorry about that, I…

They seem pretty shellshocked.

Ellis: Did you hit your head?

Mark: No, I’m fine…" ... Was it a memory? Did Mark have bad experiences with drowning and this caused that to surface? (pun not intended).

"Ellis: Could water have been involved in Mark losing their memories…?" Oh for the love of-

"Ellis: Hmm. It’s also true that Robert and Grace’s deaths were both… y’know, like that. And Mark didn’t seem, like, specifically worried about it.

Could it be the surprise, then? The specific location in which they were hit? Or am I just totally off base?" Maybe, though I'm more leaning on the fact Mark experienced it firsthand here that really caused that, since the other two cases were things happening to other people.

"I hope that falling into the pool didn’t damage Mark’s memories by, like, re-traumatizing them. But, they still responded to their killing-game-chosen name. So, they probably haven’t forgotten anything from the past two weeks, right?" Hopefully!

"Davis: I’m glad you had fun. I’m alright, though obviously with everything that’s been going on, it’s a little… hectic.

Harper: Yes, I… can see why that would be the case. I really do wish things weren’t quite so hostile…" Harper's so nice... Good for ver!

"Harper: Yes, from what I’ve seen, it seems that most people are siding with Kennedy and Paris on the topic. That isn’t particularly shocking from those like Taylor and Vivi, but I am a bit surprised that Noah and Vanessa seem to agree with them as well." Dear god it's getting bad. Whoever dies this chapter, I imagine it's gonna cause a pretty large upheaval, with tensions this high.

"Davis: Honestly, for Vanessa and Noah, I assume that may be why they’re supporting Kennedy. It’s probably nice to be safe from suspicion, innocent or not, right?" I hadn't considered that, but it's very true...

"Paris: Hey Harper, Ellis; how’s it going~?

Harper: I’m doing alright…

Noah: That’s good to hear…!

Ellis: …

Davis: ...Hi?" Wow. I don't even have anything to say to that. Just wow.

"Paris: Yeah, so, we wanted to tell you guys that Kennedy says we’re still not talking to Aidan and Davis. Right, Noah?

Harper: Noah?

Noah: …I mean, it’s really not… that big of a deal, right…?" Bro??? It's getting critical out here.

"Paris: But, if the mastermind and traitor are part of the killing game because it’s a Resort attraction, it stands to reason that they’re fan favorites, right?

Huh? But, I’m the fan favorite.

Paris: It’ll probably bore the crowd if we ignore them long enough. Thus, we win!" This is... an angle lol. I've seen the whole idea of boring the audience in other places, but doing it by specifically avoiding those two is a hell of a plan to be sure. And don't worry Ellis, you're one of this fan's favorites! Aidan and Davis and kinda everyone else too but y'know that's besides the point.

"Paris: But it makes sense to try, right? I mean, imagine if someone dies in, like, a couple of weeks because you let this thing go on. You’d feel terrible, wouldn’t you?

Harper: …

Davis: It’s not like it would be Harper’s fault.

Paris: It’s the fault of whoever lets this killing game go on when we could end it. If that’s Harper, it’s Harper." Holy hell the guilt tripping is crazy. Also ha! You failed, Paris! Davis talked and you answered, thereby violating your own rule. He he >:)

"Noah: Harper, it’s–

Paris: Noah.

Noah: …" ??? Is Paris in her corruption arc? Is this finally the chapter where my constant suspicion of her pays off, or am I just as off base as ever? In any case, how much interesting stuff can happen in one chapter???

"Harper: …If that’s the case, perhaps it’s best I take my leave entirely.

Harper stands up, taking ver plate with ver.

Harper: Have a nice meal, all of you." Wow! Harper laying down the law! Hell yeah!

"Noah: Yeah… ‘cause, it’ll all be okay in the end…! Once we get out of this place, everything will start being right again." That is... some faith you have there, Noah! People's mental health is deteriorating left, right and center here!

"On one hand, I’m a little disappointed that Paris didn’t realize that I was ignoring her in the same way that she was ignoring Davis. I was totally gonna pull a whole, “oh, Paris, didn’t notice you there! I guess we should all take another look at who’s at the table and make sure we aren’t forgetting anybody.” But, on the other hand, I’m still kind of afraid of Paris and her social capital." I also didn't realize that was Ellis' strategy there, but yeah. Paris is becoming a hell of a problem. Are her and Kennedy shaping up to be this chapter's victims?

"Maybe it’s for the best that I leave Davis to sink on his own ship. I know Aidan was the one analogizing himself, but really, I think Davis is the ship, and Aidan is the anchor." Yeah, that's Ellis for ya'. And the ship metaphor is going crazy lol.

[Mark 3rd FTE Start] Hell yeah! FTE!

"Thankfully, Mark looks alright– it seems they recovered from their dip in the Pool earlier today. I don’t know if I should bring it up or not.

[2 lines later]

Ellis: Ooh, so where do you want to go for that? Straight to the Gym, or would you rather go for a run outside? Or, you could always do some laps in the… um." Wow you really fucked that one up didn't you? xD Immediately accidentally almost brought up the pool lmao.

"Ellis: Eh, not really. I’m by no means a jock, but I do like the look working out gives you. So, I exercise sometimes, but running sucks. I usually do other stuff.

Mark: Do you have a favorite?

Ellis: Hmm… well, it’s not exactly a workout, but yoga is fun." Wow... Ellis characterization... always welcome!

"Mark: I didn’t mean to try to figure out a talent. I just meant, then we have something to do while we keep talking." Aww :D

"Mark: Still, even if I wasn’t Ultimate at anything, I still must’ve been doing something, right? Like… what did you do before you got into the party scene?

Ellis: …Well, I was the same old me, obviously.

Mark: But, what did you like to do? Or, did you have a favorite subject in school? That sort of thing.

Ellis: Pff, imagine caring about school. Maybe you don’t remember this, Mark, but school sucks. Especially American public schools.

Ellis: …" Wow we really hate talking about the past don't we? xD

"Ellis: I liked… I dunno, Spanish, I guess? Some of my family members speak Spanish, so I came in there with a bit of an advantage. And, in my free time, I… windowshopped at the mall? Played video games on a busted old console? Got roped into painting my grandfather’s fence?" Ellis lore!!! And the crowd goes wild!!!

"Mark: Is it a bad memory?

Ellis: Is a puzzle piece from Puzzle A bad to pick up when you’re trying to put together Puzzle B? The Ellis Ortiz of the past is incompatible with the Ellis Ortiz of today, is all.

They look over at me.

Mark: …Do you really think so?

Mark and Ellis are getting to be such good friends (or romantic partners for the more ship inclined). Really hoping all those Mark!Survivor guesses turn out to be right with the way this is going! And the Ellis of the past, before his grandfather’s dying gift or his first taste of what money can buy you, probably wouldn’t last a day in either of those arenas. Probably wouldn’t have lasted long in this arena, either. After all, look at what happened to Ro–" For a moment I was wondering who the fuck "Ro" was, but I'm pretty sure it's meant to be "Robert." So Ellis basically considers the old themselves to be a "normie", which makes sense. I guess she already doesn't have the best self-esteem, if her bravado and constant second guessing of herself are anything to go by, so she must have really hated her life before all that. Fascinating stuff... Ellis is awesome :O

"Harper: I understand your plan’s appeal, Kennedy, but if we narrow our lenses even further watching over Aidan and Davis specifically, it would become even easier for a different mastermind and traitor combination to get away with whatever they pleased." Jeff: Can you please just shut up about this already?!" Wow! Even fucking Jeff is taking up arms on this bullshit! This might be one of my favorite parts in all of DROS so far just because of how much conflict there is with everyone here :D

[Jeff pops off] Holy hell they really went in! From calling bs on the logic of the "bore the audience to cancellation" plan, and the very idea that Aidan and Davis are mm and traitor to begin with, there's some great points made here! Awesome of Jeff to get a moment like this, he's dealt with a lot of shit this entire killing game xD

"Vivi: …I think Jeff’s right, you know? Like, I didn’t really love this whole thing either. Even if we still think Aidan and Davis are suspicious, we don’t need to go full-on surveillance mode, right?" Vivi joining the Aidan-Davis defense squad! Hell yeah. Love that she doesn't just blindly follow Kennedy, even with how much she usually sticks up for them.

"Kennedy: …Fine. We won’t watch them all the time. But they’re definitely still at the top of my watchlist." And it's cool that Kennedy's not completely unreasonable, even when she's still being extremely unreasonable.

"Harper: Still, I’d feel awful if the staff’s hard work went to waste…

Ellis: Uh… they are still employees of the mastermind, y’know…

Harper: I suppose. Still, it does mean that they’re probably being ordered to do these sorts of things." Leave it to Harper to feel bad for the Staff lol. Though to an extent I get it; especially without the context of the full extent of the Tragedy, it's normal to wonder what the hell is in it for them.

"Harper: Yes, though I suppose that’s my issue. I should be taking more of a stance, in line with what I believe to be true.

And what you believe to be true is…?" Good question! I mean, I'm pretty sure Harper is more on the side of "leave Aidan and Davis alone", but still. Ve doesn't really talk about ver beliefs too much, pretty non-confrontational.

"Harper: I suppose “believing” a side isn’t quite the right way to put it. What I believe is that this conflict is needless and we should be putting suspicions aside to work towards a solution. But, it’s difficult to convince some of the others of that, especially if I don’t express myself clearly enough…" Yeah that makes sense.

"Paris: The mirrors and clothes back here are, like, totally perfect! Honestly, it’d be a great place to do a makeover.

Taylor: Yeah, definitely…" Hey you two! How's it going?

"Oh man, we didn’t say anything that Paris could use as dirt on us later, right…?" I think Harper's real opinions might count, but it's not horrible I think?

"Taylor: Hey. Don’t be too loud, I don’t want Paris to listen to me right now." ...? Interesting development, Taylor being all secretive around Paris.

"Taylor: I get the sense that high-conflict environments are what Paris thrives in, but it’s really draining. Everyone’s so high strung all the time, and I sometimes want to just tell everyone to be quiet about it, but I know she’ll get mad at me…" Man, everyone is having issues, huh? I struggle to think of many conflicts in other stories like this that feel like the entire cast has an unique and interesting opinion on the issue, it's genuinely impressive. It's so cool... :O As for Taylor specifically, I get why they feel like this, it's a pretty rough situation for them.

"Taylor: Hey, Paris, can I talk to you about something?

Taylor: “Yeah, totally! What’s up?”

Taylor: Well, we wanted to say that we feel like everyone’s making a big conflict out of nothing, and it’s getting tiring. Can we maybe stop it?

Taylor: “Oh, don’t worry about it, Tay! I’m sure everything’ll blow over soon. Trust me, I’ve got it covered~”

They roll their eyes.

Taylor: And that’d be the end of that." You know, when they listed all the possible ways that bringing up the issue with Paris would go, I thought about how it made sense that Taylor was confident in predicting how others would react to a given situation because of their talent, but seeing it in action really is something else damn.

"Taylor: “If you feel strongly about this, it would be best for you to voice your opinion as well. It might bring you ease. After all, if we all feel similarly, isn’t the only course of action to speak out about it?”

Harper: …Yes, I… suppose that’s true…

Ellis: Oof, using ver own voice against ver. Brutal." Yikes. Well, at least Taylor's been staying away from the dead voices for a while, so there's and improvement there! I guess lol.

"I wonder how much Kennedy and Paris are aware of the trouble brewing underneath their seemingly solid support. Then again, if they got Jeff of all people to act up, they must know that something has gone horribly wrong." That's what I'm saying! Yeah, I hope they dial it back a bit, for their sake if nothing else lmao.

"... I decide to finally hit up the Spa. And, because Mark said that they had interest in checking it out, too, I invite them along." I thought this was gonna be another FTE for a moment, but apparently not! Interesting...

"After our relaxation period is over, Mark and I head back to our individual rooms before dinner." Oh okay, I guess the spa scene is done now! What xD

"Taylor: I still feel like any policy we have against them will just make things tense, right? It’s not really helping…

Jeff: Besides, if we let you keep it up, you’re going to start suggesting we lock down everyone to make the game unentertaining. I’m not dealing with that." And there's why Jeff was taking so much offense to that, I guess! Well, I imagine he was already getting bothered by the situation in general, but it makes sense if he stepped in mainly because he was worried about how Kennedy's ideas could impact his freedom.

"Kennedy: I’m not forcing anyone to agree with me.

Taylor: That’s… true, but you interrupt us when we try talking to the two of them, right?

Kennedy: I’m following what I think is the best course of action. It’s within your powers to ignore me." Kennedy's mindset is pretty fun here. They're essentially absolving themselves of causing harm by asserting that the others' actions are entirely on them. And while she's not completely wrong there, the logic's obviously a bit faulty. Kennedy is the one who brought up the ideas, he has some responsibility in the others following them no matter how much he denies it. And while they're obviously confident they're doing the right thing, the fact that they're still hiding behind the fact that they're not technically forcing anyone to do anything does show they're still being cautious, as they probably consider accounting for the possibility that they're wrong to be a good idea no matter how unlikely they think it is. God I love Kennedy <3

"Jeff: Yeah. I said it, and now I’m being roped into talking about it again. Even if I stand by what I said, that doesn’t mean I want to linger on it." Makes sense Jeff's already wanting to absentee their way out of the issue lol.

"I stick around in the Buffet for longer than normal tonight, mostly ‘cause I’m not sure exactly where I left things off with Mark. We went to the Spa together earlier today, so it’s not like we’re on bad terms. But not being on bad terms doesn’t necessarily mean that Mark wants to hang out for the third night in a row.

Should I send them a message? Should I go to the Foyer and expect that they’ll be there? Or did me inviting them to the Spa already count as our hang out sesh for the day, and I should just head to my room?" I mean surely they should be thrilled to spend any amount of time with the oh so awesome Ellis Ortiz, no, Ellis? It's always fun to see just how much he doesn't actually have the confidence in himself he pretends he has lmao.

"Ellis: Good evening, guapo." Callback to the Spanish thing, I love it.

"Mark fiddles with their gloves." Hm... Why you fiddling with those? Is there something plot relevant under those, Mark? Õ_o (/silly)

"Mark: That’s probably good. The more people start speaking up, the less one-sided our breakfasts will probably become." And here's Mark's opinion on the issue of the moment! I mean it was inferrable but still.

"Mark: I didn’t really have anything exactly planned for tonight. I guess… the main other talent category I came up with was ones based on identity or personality." You know I wondered for a moment what exactly they meant by that, and then I remembered this killing game has things like "Contrarian" and "Normie" and yeah now it makes sense xp

"Ellis: It could be more vague than that. More like… Ultimate Analyst, or something. Although, thinking about it, that sounds kinda OP…" Ha! Reference :)

"Mark: Other than that, one of the things I’ve done the most here is talking to you.

Essek experiments with Ashton's dunamancy. Said experiments make Ashton horny. They try to hide it.

Luddleston never disappoints when it comes to writing Very Hot smut and this is no exception. Also the dunamancy stuff going on is very interesting and is a very fun companion to the horiness and sex for those of us who enjoy that kind of thing XD

BLACKIE

This is Blackie, submitter's little one-eyed wonder. He lost his eye to glaucoma quite a few years ago, but he's doing a lot better now, and still likes to play with his sister, Artemis. His name is Blackie because that's what the shelter named him and submitter's family couldn't agree on a new name for him so it stuck, but submitter themselves call him 'Big Boi' because of just how massive he is. He was once very timid, but with time and love and patience he is now a certified lap cat who will come right up to strangers to demand pets. He has a wonderful squeaky meow and when he purrs it sounds like two cats purring at once. He likes to have people watch him eat and he will guide submitter's mom over to the couch and make her lay down just so he can sleep in her lap. Also, when he lays on his back, he covers his belly with his tail. Pictured is him in his signature polite boi sitting pose

Truth be told, I'm running out of propaganda. If he make it to the next round, I'm gonna try my darnedest to capture his meows on video, which I haven't been able to do before because he sees me coming with the camera and starts purring XD

Very rarely, when he gets the zoomies, he'll laugh. Like "huhuhuheueheHUEHEUE" kinda laugh.

I like to let him sniff human food/whatever I'm holding just to make sure he feels included (still doesn't like anything but pizza crumbs). But he has gagged on pickled ginger, banana, and CBD rub. He always gets really embarrassed when he gags tho

Ever since I got a job, he has been following me to bed and jumping on my chest to get the pets that he now lacks during the day.

If he sees you getting out the cat brush, he''ll lead you over to where he wants to be brushed.

On that note, when I had hurt my leg one time, Blackie saw that I wasn't leaning down to pet him and instead lead me over to the couch to have me sit down to pet him. He kept that up for a couple months once he saw how relieved it made me.

Assorted Blackie facts:

A brave man when it comes to thunderstorms. But the vacuum? His mortal enemy.

The friendliest cat at the shelter. But the staff forced me to pick him up and hold him to get a picture and he got terrified and peed on me.

We think, based on how he acts, that he may have grown up in a home with dogs. But the mark on his ear is one done by our local neuter and release program, so we don't know if he was a stray, an outside cat, etc. But he's one of the friendliest cats I've ever met.

Will go up to his sister and put his head down to get it licked. But as soon as she goes to lick him and flattens his ears and raises a paw like he's gonna hit her. Sometimes they fight and sometimes they just walk away. We don't think he's trying to trick her because he acts genuinely confused throughout this process.

Sometimes he uses his back paw to scratch the back of his front leg when he's sitting down and it's so cute <3

These are old photos from when I used to hold a camera down and snap a photo when they leaned in to sniff the lens.

Blackie is our older cat and is such a gentleman. He is eager to love, he does the quickest slow blinks I've ever seen from a cat. He has a two-layered purr, it literally sounds like a cat purring as popcorn is being made in the background. He lost his eye to glaucoma when he was younger but he runs around and plays and teases his sister Artemis like a kitten. And his eyebrow whiskers grew down over his missing eye! He's not a big fan of people food but he has a fondness for pizza crumbs (NOT the crust. Just the crumbs off the plate when you're done eating the pizza). He walks like he's gingerly stepping through flowers and he's so gentle that the one time I overstimulated him and he wanted to bite me, he just shoved his closed mouth against my hand. He has a super long tongue and if you scratch the right spot between his shoulder blades he will lick the air. He's my precious boy who started out so scared but he's so brave and social and happy now just typing this out makes me wanna cry and go give him scritchies.

I mostly have no shame at all, but there are a few scenes lol... Most of them yet unpublished, and most of them from the IWJFaF au XD (Which is probably why the smidge of embarrassment rests on them, because that one is a tad personal lol)

🥺 Is there a certain type of moment or common interaction between your characters that never fails to put you in your feels?

I answered this one for Jess earlier, but whenever a character washes the other's hair, I just... Yeah the feels are a lot then XD

🤡 What's a line, scene, or exchange you've written that made you laugh?

Also answered this one for Jess, so I'll find a different one lol... This is a fun one XD

😈 Has there been a point in a story where you did something just to be playfully mean to your readers?

I answered this one for Em, and the answer is YES... Actually I think there's probably more than one now that I think about it, but the biggest is probably still separating Bini XD

Sometimes! @whorejolras Beta'd the first few chapters of BtB for me last year, and I that's probably one of only two instances I've had a beta reader

🛒 What are some common things you incorporate in your fics? Themes, feels, scenes, imagery, etc.

OUGH... I like exploring disability, especially with Joly (Sorry Joly, I've put you through the wringer recently with IWJFaF), and also sickfics are probably a big theme with me XD

...I've been into the drowning imagery a bit too lately ngl, I think I've used it in at least two recent fics, and with a OC for a writing competition

🎢 Which of your fics would you call your wildest ride?

For me or the reader? XD

For me it was probably one I have upcoming that... It doesn't have a name yet but it'll be posted on the 16th of July. I thought it was almost done at like 2k words... IT WAS NOT DONE. It's 5.7k words

For the reader... Hmm... Probably Beyond the Barricade, because that one jumps POVs every chapter, and some of them are MUCH more excited than the others XD (looking at you Combeferre...). I've also got a good amount of twists I have planned out, that I'm excited for

I use the Quill App, Google Docs, and occasionally Ellipsus! I want to use Ellipsus more, but I also have been using the others for so long my brain is struggling to change over XD

I... I actually don't know. I've been writing stories since I was about four, and I don't have memories that far back XD

What got me into writing Les Mis fanfic though, I do remember. I'd just gotten into the fandom, and was chatting with an author on their fic on A03, and offhandedly mentioned I'd maybe like to write fic someday after I got to know the characters a little better, and they encouraged me to just go for it... and it turns out that little push was all I needed. It's been three years now, and I look back on my first fics like "Ohhh that's not at all in character", but I'm glad I wrote them, because idk if I would have ever actually started if I hadn't then.

💌 How do you feel about comments and feedback?

I LOVE IT :D I will yap for ages about any of my fics, and have been known to get into conversations in the comment section of Ao3 XD (Although, fair warning that I am NOT good at keeping up with comments at the moment, but I still love them, and will get to them eventually XD)

❌ What's a trope you will never write?

Hmmm, I don't actually know. I'm willing to try most everything at least once, so I can't say for certain there's something I won't ever write, but right now, a safe bet is probably any smut trope

💲 Would you ever open commissions?

Probably not XD. I've found that I'm NOT good at staying on top of commissioned anything, and then I feel bad that it's taking longer than planned, so... yeah...

I do occasionally take prompt requests though! With the disclaimer that it might be... Ages before it's actually done

........Yeah. If it's canon era, you'll probably find me researching all throughout the writing process, unless it's a subject I know off the top of my head, and then I STILL check my info XD

....Even modern au fics get researched sometimes, because I have NO idea what some modern things are XD (And also, sickfic stuff.. I spend a lot of time researching illness too)

Beyond the Barricade! It's also my longest fic, which is probably why it's so high up on the list lol

Sometimes!! Not super often, but if I'm doing a prompt list, or sometimes the Holiday Exchange, I'll write one based on a holiday. I think my favorite one I've written though is Combeferre and Prouvaire; Ghostbusters Extraordinaire, which is Halloween inspired, where the two mentioned go ghost hunting XD... and then it's sequel too, that I can't help but mention because I also love the shenanigans in there, Ghostbusting- Les Amis Style

Not that I can think of, no. Maybe sometime though XD I'm definitely hoping someone would with BtB, but I also... Yap about that one incessantly, so I've probably spoiled 95% of the major plot points lmao

I usually fly by the seat of my pants, especially for oneshots (which is why I'm always so shocked when they end up going longer than I thought they would XD), but I do occasionally outline fics, especially longer fics. I know my Turnchetta fic was somewhat outlined, and most of BtB is outlined as well... Well... Until SOME CHARACTERS (Looking at you, Joly and Combeferre) decided to digress lol

YAY :D OK.

One of the fics currently in my drafts (a wip only in the fact that it hasn't been posted), is about Enjolras dealing with emetophobia, (I've alluded to this headcanon in a few other fics, but never really explored it until this one) which, I think you already know I struggle with, from when we watch stuff, but if not, there you go lol

And I've just had a great time with that one, because it turns out it's REALLY theraputic to put all those feelings onto Enjolras (SORRY ENJOLRAS), and just like, put them down in writing if that makes sense XD.

Reading through it right now, it feels a little choppy, but I do like that, because that's how my thoughts feel when everything is going on... I might rework a few parts before posting though, but we'll see.

🤗 What advice would you give to new fanfic writers that are just getting started?

Hmmm, probably to just write, and not worry about perfection, or if it's too short or too long or stuff like that. There's always time to improve on the writing, but you won't if you don't actually write it in the first place!

And also don't be scared to write something that's completely for yourself and post it too (I say this as a bit of a hypocrite), but there's almost certainly someone else out there who will want to read it... I actually just got a comment on one of my fics a few months ago saying how glad the reader was that it existed, and I think that totally changed my whole perspective on writing (even though I've felt that way about fics I've read before, it's a whole different thing to see someone else feel that way about your fic), because this was a fic that I wrote because I wanted to see it, and almost didn't post it, but now I'm glad I got talked into it... Annddd now Emile is getting sappy again, darn it I'll stop rambling here XD And, there's ALWAYS the anonymous option on ao3 too, for those fics you want to post, but don't want connected to your name (or, only want a few people to know who wrote it)

Depends! Some are done within a few hours, and some take months, depending on my motivation, and if I actually work on them. On average though, I'd say anywhere from 1-3 days depending on how long it ends up being (In context, when I write, I usually write 1-3k words in a day, with the most I've gotten being about 5k)

🤯 What's a genre you struggle with as a writer (ex. romance, action, etc.)?

Probably romance, or horror. I really want to try writing a horror themed fic, but I also don't know where to even start. XD

I did try with the Ghostbusting fics, but I think those turned out a bit more goofy than scary lmao

💔 Is there a fic of yours that broke your heart?

What is sleep when you have a baby? I cried while writing this one... It's probably the only one that's really gotten me, especially with Marius angst

to start with, your looks could deceive most people. some would assume that you're just a cute, regular girl roaming down the streets, when in fact, you weren't.

so this leads to some guys ( or so ) flirting and trying to make a move on you. as disgusting as you find them, you had to agree in a oh-so-sweet manner, giving them a certain location as to where to find you.

of course, when they arrived there expecting for some sort of a 'date' with you, they're receiving their dead end instead.

guys like that don't deserve any mercy, or that's how you have it personally set within your own mind. ( totally not projecting )

but also i think since you can't just carry a gun with you all the time, you instead carry some sort of a small switchblade.

i imagined that you, despite your quite young age ( maybe around 16-17 or so ), are able to manage your own restaurant, to which originally was owned by your father, who is a drug dealer of some sort. your mother is unknown.

because of how successful your father's business is with the drugs, you became the main target of the ones who planned to take down your father.

due to how busy he is, he wasn't that close to you. so you were left to fend mostly by your own.

he did train you a bit for some time, but eventually, he let a certain Kazakh professional assassin; Blanca to train you instead.

and i feel like Blanca lowkey wants to go a bit softer at you during training, and of course, you didn't want any of that honestly. your relationship with him is pretty alright, and you both pretty much respected each other at some point.

and there you met Ash himself, when Blanca was also assigned to train him by Dino Golzine.

okay so, i'd like to think that at first, you and Ash are quite skeptical towards one another. not being too familiar still.

but that changes over time, of course.

it started by that one, random sunny day; you and Ash accidentally arrived early at the private training grounds where Blanca was supposed to train you both.

the two of you ended up conversing with each other-- Ash being the one who possibly initiates the convo first.

perhaps it started with a compliment. maybe the brand new shoes that you're wearing? the view; weather? or even just random small talks. it's still an effort nonetheless.

you're highly aware of the current reputation he holds as the gang leader of the city. it doesn't faze you much, as long as he remains nice to you.

and because of this, you sometimes do heard about Dino himself. back then, you didn't really pay any mind, but did recall that one time where your father said that he did some sort of a drug business with him etc..

but by the way he is regarded, you feel downright disgusted. selfish, ruthless even. but is well aware not someone to be provoked on.

so despite all of that, you remain well-mannered in a way. for the time being, that is. ( unless something or he crosses the line )

but i can't deny the fact that i imagined that you might be finding yourself doing the side-eye at him while he speaks with others; even having the urge to throw some insults or sarcastic remarks at him. but refrain from doing so just yet.

you hate him so so much because of what he did to Ash too.

overall, you despised people like Dino for existing on the surface of the Earth.

Shorter seemed like he would probably flirt with you at times, but you just laughed it off because it's like a normal thing now.

but Ash def isn't impressed.

knowing how long you and Ash have been training with each other, he silently grew fond and protective of you, despite you can handle yourself fine. i mean, you did manage a whole restaurant by yourself, after all.

oh and yes, Eiji's a precious boy!! you would 1000000% get along with him! <3

but be careful when hanging out around Eiji every so often; Ash might've steal you away from him. ( totally not jealous at all )

also, random but i can see Ash is the type of guy to let his arm rest around your shoulders; doesn't matter while you're sitting or even standing. he would still do it out of habit.

i couldn't think of a proper confession or anything further romance related rn, but he will 1000000% take you out for a ride on his bike pretty often, especially during late nights <33

stargazing together?? heck yes!!

sometimes you just wanted to join Ash in whatever mission thingy or stuff he has to do or so; and of course, he would agree, but still deep down worried about your safety in general. ( maybe at some times, he would straight up refuse your offer. )

was reading through your claudes tag and came across this tag "at this point we’re only missing petruccio and we will have all the auditore siblings x desmond headcanons XD" and it made me think of an au where desmond is reborn around the same time as petruccio is born so they become childhood friends after they hit it off after tthye "coincidentally" meet on one of petruccio's rare days out

so they grow up together with desmond feeling guilty about using petruccio to get closer to petruccio's family not realizing that he's started thinking of them as petruccio's family instead of ezio's and that his motivation has shifted to saving petruccio instead of sparing ezio the pain of seeing his family die

meanwhile petruccio has a puppy crush on desmond forever because desmond while protective of him doesn't coddle him like his family does and also being very understanding about changing plans because of petruccio's disability like "oh we had planned to play outside today but now you're not feeling up to it that's cool lets go play cards, or read together, or play whatever board games existed in renaissance italy"

side tangent had the thought of desmond apprenticing to a woodcarver so that he could learn how to make some of the few board games he can remember from the future to play with petruccio

also i feel like demond would have to have petruccio's crush pointed out to him a la white aster before he has his oh oh moment probably by one of petruccio's siblings letting something slip by accident

With this ask, Desmond now have the complete set XD

Okay, let’s talk about this childhood friends-to-lover setup for Petruccio and Desmond!

Why not just make Desmond be reborn as the son of a carpenter? That would give Desmond easy access to what can be considered as ‘trash’ and he could just start trying to carve it because he keeps on talking about board games he remembered playing and Petruccio always looked interested in playing them but then Desmond would remember that they wouldn’t be invented until later on.

We can even make Desmond’s father a descendant of the Vikings so he could teach Desmond how to carve out his first Orlog set so Desmond would have something to practice on.

From there, Desmond could start bringing his own board games to play with Petruccio.

So in this scenario, Desmond would have played lots of board games. Maybe one of his coworkers in Bad Weather liked board games and would invite his coworkers to play during the weekend or something and Desmond enjoyed it because it felt like he was connecting with people without lying about who he was.

In this situation, I think it would be funny if Desmond making board games he remember to play with Petruccio would lead to Leonardo discovering him as a genius ‘game maker’.

How?

Because a lot of the board games Desmond remembered needed more than two players (although Petruccio does love Patchwork and they play that a lot) so the other Auditore siblings (and sometimes their parents) get roped in to play with them as well.

The Auditores are competitive kids and even Petruccio shows his fangs during this time (even if the main reason why Petruccio is being competitive is because he doesn’t want to lose in front of Desmond and, really, the three try their best to support their youngest brother's puppy love but their thirst for victory superseded any familial love they feel for one another).

So Leonardo gets roped in to the weekly (biweekly? Triweekly?) board game night and he sees all of the many board games Desmond had made and he starts to interview him about them and Desmond tries to answer all of them, admitting that a lot of the board games are actually versions 2 or 3 because he had to tweak the game balance (since he didn’t remember all the rules) a lot of times which embarrasses him. This only makes Leonardo think highly of him because admitting that it’s not perfect meant that Desmond strives to keep upgrading his work.

Leonardo’s sudden interest in Desmond makes Petruccio jealous though and he already had to be make peace with how Desmond seem to be ‘like’ Ezio (in Desmond’s defense… he’s bias to Ezio thanks to his life as Desmond Miles).

But he can’t do anything because Leonardo is a friend of the family and a loyal friend for that matter and…

Well…

Leonardo was also trying to help Petruccio try to get Desmond’s attention.

It all comes to a boil when in one of the more stressful board games (I’m thinking maybe Nemesis or maybe even Werewolves/Blood on the Clocktower), someone (probably Claudia?) calls out Petruccio’s actions as less of him playing to win but playing to make sure Desmond wins and that’s cheating because he can’t let his love for Desmond be the reason why he’s willing to lose the game and drag everybody with him.

And everyone just grows quiet…

And Petruccio runs away.

While Desmond’s just sitting there, having his own “Oh my god, he loves me! Why didn’t I see that? Oh Jesus Christ, I’m so dumb! Why didn’t I notice it???” and “Do I… Do I love Petruccio??? Have I fallen for him without realizing it???” breakdown on the inside while he just looked at the board game blankly.

This would happen when Desmond and Petruccio reached like maybe 18 or 19 (so yeah, no Auditore execution event because Desmond had been busy).

Leonardo would actually be the one to talk to Desmond and he would talk about how the real reason why he fell in love with Desmond’s board games (which they’re working on selling soon) was because it was made with love.

Each carving done by the same pair of hands each time…

Each stories engraved in the board…

Each rules to ensure fairness…

Desmond wasn’t just making them for fun.

They had always been a labor of love.

But the question then becomes…

Who was Desmond thinking of when he was making all of these board games?

And Desmond just stares at Leonardo before he goes, “Thank you.”

Leonardo just smiles back as he asks, “I’m not the one who needs to hear the truth about these board games now, am I, Desmond?”

“Yeah…” Desmond stands as he agrees, “I should… I need to talk to Petruccio.”

Leonardo nods and watches as Desmond rushes back to Palazzo Auditore.

Ah… young love…

this ask has been sitting in my inbox for fucking AGES because i could not find the words to express myself. it genuinely required more thought than d's viva piñata ask (which, pt 2 to that soon). god i fucking LOVE when you guys hit me with the "so tell me about this niche interest of yours" IT MAKES ME CRAZY /POS anyway, for those of you who are new here or don't know the context, origami angel is the reason my long fic seasons (tagged) exists. i got back into them and sdv at a similar time and genuinely bro, i cannot separate the two. i recommend reading this post for further context. it'll help you understand why this ask means so much to me hehe

gonna start off strong here with second best friend. if we're talking sambastian as a ship, this is perhaps THE sambastian song. maybe not the way everyone writes them, but paired with the fact i write abby and seb to be best friends before sam came around, i think it fits. abby is seb's rock and i can only imagine sam just feels there sometimes. not that he's less of seb's friend than abby is, but he feels different since he has feelings for him. he doesn't just want to be his second best friend, he wants to be his boyfriend.

the song really does feel like sam trying his hardest to impress seb, doing stupid shit in the process, and never really getting anywhere. i've read plenty of sambastian fics like this and even in some of the things i write he goes out of his way to be noticed in a way sebastian dismisses in one way or another.

it's also a really "trying to get over you" kind of song. not perfect for seasons since it takes place after they've all graduated high school, but i can see in other instances sam being very fond of seb growing up and thinking back on it when seb's got another partner, when he's just had a break up, etc. etc. like he wishes he were seb's, but seb's always got someone else.

there's also the idea that seb's partners might also be his best friends. his best friend and his partner, so sam always feels second to whoever seb is dating at the time. you can really spin this song and the concepts a number of ways for sambastian XD

not origami angel, but similar to second best friend so i wanted to include it here. this song is just a sam song. it's about him and farmer. if you listen to it i think it's pretty self explanatory. sam is the lead, abby and seb are his two best friends, the subject is farmer.

i mentioned this briefly in my 'context' post, but this can really swing either way when it comes to sam and seb. i think it perfectly describes their friendship but i can also see it as something sam writes about seb, for seb, and just hopes he doesn't think too much about it.

if you just look at the lyrics (some of which i've copied below) you can see exactly what i mean. you could not pay me to believe sam has not busted down seb's door late at night when seb's having a rough time with work or a depressive episode and forced him to take a night drive. maybe there were even times seb reached out asking for one and no matter what time it was sam would be up and ready to sneak out his house to go be there for sebastian.

the first two verses are great, but this one in particular is so them:

lots of somewhere city songs on here because i think the entire album is so... them but we're only gonna talk about three in particular.

this one is a bit less specific, but i do think if you want to dive into shipping territory it really can work for them. i dunno i just feel like even conceptually, telling someone they're the answer to several if not all of your problems is like... REALLY SWEET. maybe that's weird? but i do think that despite everything, sam's still there, he still wants seb around, loves him, etc. they're both fucked up in their own way but being friends/lovers is healing for them.

sebastian hates himself, we all know this. the way he treats let's say, maru, is in part a reflection of how he views himself. he doesn't think he's enough for people despite the things he does. like he has a whole ass stable (enough) job and people don't take it seriously. that fucks a person up. but also, i write him as someone who might try to do better and not enjoy all the shocked comments people make about him "never being the one to do" something. and to try and be better and maybe fail, still make mistakes. so i can see sam writing this song to remind him that things will be okay and despite what everyone might say he sees sebastian for who he truly is beneath all the stress he endures and his problems. and that he doesn't have to go out of his way to be someone else (like getting a new job) just to please other people. he's okay being him.

self-destruct is a really sebastian song. i cannot make it any more clear than the lyrics do. it's so anxiety ridden, so full of self doubt. the fact it's called self-destruct is even better because i just feel like he's the kinda guy to ruin all kinds of relationships he has by assuming the worst of people. but he doesn't mean to and that alone haunts him.

i think i have said this ONCE and to maybe TWO PEOPLE but this song is chronically sam. it's not perfect but the way i see it is almost like a heavily covered up song about how sam feels about kent being away at war and being responsible for both his mom and especially vincent.

i'm particularly fond of these lines:

But the man in the doorway, he always had better plans 'Cause an idle mind is the fault of idle hands And you can't break the boy to forge a better man

i just... i don't know. i feel like when kent left for the last time (which i hc to be while sam was still in high school; i mess with the tl a bit) he told sam that he had to step up and be the man of the house now. i don't think he meant anything malicious by it but i do think he was worried he would never come back home and almost wanted to prepare sam for it. but he waited until the last minute to say this, right when he was heading out, and it really was the moment when the last of sam's childhood was ripped from right up underneath him.

no matter what sam wants to be he knows he first has to be there for his family. i'm sure he also desperately wants to move back to the city, maybe even go with sebastian so he at least has a friend, but he knows he can't disappoint his dad or leave his mom and brother behind. he has to support them any way he can, whether it be emotionally, monetarily, or something else. is he a better person because of these circumstances? debatable. i think it's just leaving him with long term trauma he buries beneath a smile so he doesn't fall apart.

this is a little random of a song to associate with sebastian but i really do think it fits and it's one of two songs that i cannot help but attach to him. it's just so moody and mopey and it feels raw in the sense it's honest. i don't think sebastian realizes people do actually love and care for him. i think he defaults to thinking everyone hates him or thinks poorly of him because he perceives himself as the worst person to ever exist. a lot of his problems are self assigned, self destructive like i said. at times these feelings almost make him want to give up and on the off chance someone does say something outright awful about him it's only reinforcing how he feels. it makes him not want to be around anyone anymore, why he isolates himself in his room and only goes out when it's quiet or finds a quiet place to smoke.

i dunno this is just something you have to listen to, the instrumentals for me are as important as the lyrics.

this song. guys. this SONG is a lyrical masterpiece. it's fast and messy and at times heart wrenching and there are SO many lines that feel very sebastian to me. my favorite has to be the bit about socially teething and i actually use that phrase as the title to the first chapter of seasons. it's perfect, it's him, and i cannot convey to you in words. you just have to listen to it. also it's the second song i cannot help associate with him, right up there with worm food

So, I got tagged by @hyperions-light a while ago and whoops, wasn't able to answer back then due to a persistant hedache that's been making life miserable. But, I finally managed to get my thoughts in order, so I may as well try to write something for this, huh? I guess I'll fill it out for my current WiP, The Viscount's Bride.

What is the main lesson of your story?

Uh, I'm not entirely sure? The story's still in its early phases, and basically started from a "I just want to make these two fall in love" kind of deal. But so far it's looking like there's at least a little "don't judge a book by it's cover" in there. (Trite, I know, but I haven't written fic or really analyzed writing since 2018, so please give me some grace. <3)

What did you use as inspiration for your world building?

Well, it's a Dragon Age fanfic so uh, it's just the Dragon Age setting in general for the world building. But in terms of the actual story, it started with a bit of East of the Sun, West of the Moon (very, VERY early on) and I discovered while I was actually writing that I was subconsciously drawing on the anime My Happy Marriage. I'm obviously not trying to copy that anime or anything but there is definitely a good deal of inspiration.

Also I've been spending more time than I expected researching life in the Tudor era (since Thedas seems to be closer to Renaissance than "medieval" really, but it's not a one-to-one thing). There's nothing quite like stopping in the middle of a writing session to go research historical bedding or hierarchies of servants in a noble/royal household. And I'd be remiss if I didn't mention getting some inspiration from @curious-happenstance's "Do You Like My Dress? It Has Pockets" fic, which got me excited about diving into putting historical details into my work. (It's a very sweet story, I recommend it!)

What is your MC trying to achieve, and what are you, the writer, trying to achieve with them? So you want to inspire others, teach forgiveness, or help them grow as a person?

I guess in a way I have two protagonists since I do occasionally switch into Varric's POV, so I'll deal with both. Varric quite simply is trying to keep his friends safe while also not being blackmailed into marrying someone he doesn't know. Darvia on the other hand is mostly just trying to not piss anyone off and get herself killed (and also not end up saddled with providing for her crappy parents again.)

How many chapters is your story going to have?

However many it takes to get through this! More than four, but probably less than 100. XD Unless something has gone intensely wrong, that is.

Is it fanfiction or original content? Where do you plan to post it?

It's fanfiction, obviously. I'm definitely planning on posting it on AO3, though other sites are unknown yet. I don't feel like figuring out my old ff.net account again and idk if it would do any numbers on tumblr since most of my posts here do very poorly.

When did you start writing?

Oh god. That's like asking when I started breathing. I know I have school journals from at least 4th grade of my fledgeling attempts at writing, if not even before then. I've been fascinated with stories my whole life and I don't think that will ever stop, though often my own brain gets in the way. (Not sure if it's executive functioning issues or just good old fashioned laziness but it's somewhere in there.)

Do you have any words of encouragement for fellow writers of writeblr?

READ BOOKS. I'm serious. Fanfic is great but sometimes grabbing an actually published, edited book is going to help get those brain wrinkles started again. And challenge yourself with those books sometimes too--you'd be surprised at how much technique you can learn just from reading something that's actually at your reading level or a bit higher. (Aka, as tempting as it is to just read YA forever, sometimes you need something with a bit more meat on it. Like finding a classic that interests you.) Most of all, experience stories of all kinds. Whether it's a good TV show or a comic book or what have you, there's always that wonderful chance it will spark some inspiration that leads to creating something amazing!

Sleep Mode (Without the Buttons)

Happy (late TvT) birthday to @starrysupercell! I wrote a Barley x Ash ficlet for my wonderful tumblr pal, but it's a bit short for ao3, so I figured I'd post it here!

Context: I have a little story brewing in my head, about Barley accidentally making a wish around Gene and becoming human for a bit! This is the first time he ever goes to sleep as a human. (I might post more about human Barley sometime in the future, but for now, this is all I have XD).

Ash knows what it's like to share a bed with a warm body.

Several warm bodies, even, what with the way his parents crammed him and his siblings into one room back when he was a wee lad.

But none of them were Barley.

And none of them were as fidgety as Barley.

"Bon?" he finally says as Barley rolls over for the fourth time in just as many minutes. "If ye ain't comfy I can sleep on the couch."

"Ah, no. It's fine," comes the hushed reply. From the sound of Barley's voice, he's facing away from him again.

Ash gives a non-committal hum in response, sliding an arm under his pillow as he gets settled again.

"I just feel like I'm doing it wrong."

"Hn?" It takes a moment for his bleary mind to process. "...Sleepin'?"

"Yes! I don't know what I could be missing. I'm worn out from the workday, I'm wearing comfortable sleepwear, I've even been trying to close my eyes and keep still." Ash feels a shift in the bed as Barley adjusts himself. "But I still don't feel any closer to falling asleep."

"Yeah? Well—" Ash stifles a yawn. "You're nae doin' anythin' wrong, f'that's all yer worried aboot."

"No?"

"No. Sometimes ye just dinnae fall asleep." Ash sighs.

"Oh," Barley whispers. "That's..."

"Bloody annoyin'? A pain in the arse?" He snorts.

"I was going to say inconvenient. But I suppose you're correct as well," Barley chuckles quietly.

"Hm."

The two of them fall silent for a moment.

"Is that something that happens to you often?" Barley pipes up again.

"Hm?"

"Not being able to sleep."

"Ah. Well." It's something Ash is all too familiar with. "Depends on how ye mean it. Sometimes I dinnae sleep till late coz I have more mess t'clean up than usual. Sometimes I dinnae sleep coz I just can't. Like you, right now. So, somewhat, I guess."

"Oh."

Ash can't tell what Barley's thinking. "S'not terrible. I make do with what I get."

"I suppose you do."

"...Mm." The bed creaks as Ash rolls over to stare at the ceiling. "But don't use me as an example of how ye should be taking care of yerself. I'm a terrible example."

Barley doesn't respond.

Ash turns his head.

In the darkness, he can just barely make out the outline of Barley's narrow shoulders.

If Ash really looked, he'd probably be able to see them rise and fall as he breathes. He'd probably be able to feel it, if he pressed a hand against his back. But the warmth settling under the covers with them is already more than enough, so Ash looks away, and settles for pulling his sheets a bit snugger around himself.

"You're not so terrible," Barley says, just as Ash thinks the conversation must have ended. "It's not as simple as I thought it'd be."

Ash blinks. "...Falling asleep?"

"Taking care of yourself, I mean. Being human at all is— it's—" Barley seems to cut himself off. "I'm sorry, I must be keeping you up, maybe I should move to the couch instead—"

"Bon."

Barley stops.

"C'mere." Ash rolls over, scooting over to loop his arms around his waist and pull him close. Barley makes a soft, surprised noise as he does. "S'this alright, Bon?"

He shifts a bit, but settles quick.

"Um, I— this... yes. Yes, more than alright."

Ash feels a hand cover his.

"Mm. Good." Barley smells like his soap. It suits him, because everything does. "Bein' human's a right chore sometimes. But it's not so bad. We're good at chores, you n' I."

"...We are, aren't we?" This close, Ash can hear the smile in his voice.

"We are," he affirms. "Now stop thinkin' so hard. I can hear it from out here."

That gets a snicker out of Barley, and Ash can feel the tension bleed from his shoulders as he finally relaxes.

"You ask the impossible of me, dear," Barley sighs. "But for you I will try. Goodnight, Ash."

"G'night, Bon. Sleep well."

I just wanted to say that I'm in love (and a bit jealous haha) with your style. It's so pretty and unique! Your hoods are gorgeous and your sims even more! (may i ask you what technique do you use to make them? Pooklet's? Face templates? A lot of sliders?)

I jumped around a lot between maxis-match, semi realistic, etc. trying to find something i liked (and i still feel i didn't quite found something i like 100%) and I'm in awe of how you made something that doesn't look like ts4 nor ts2 but a so cool and pretty in between!!!

(also a disclaimer because I'm a tiny ball of anxiety: this is no shade to anyone who likes other styles, i find them pretty awesome in other people's games, they just look a bit boring on mine. The sims is about having fun and everyone deserves to play it as they like!)

(disclaimer at the beginning of the post, my keyboard is dying since half a year and i'm putting aside the moment to replace it, but after this post, I think I'm gonna make my mind soon lol. So sorry for any misspeling - you can get double nn, no n, no m, no c, double cc, no c and many other surprises - i tried to fix everything but I could miss something xd).

I've restarted my hood 5 times I think before I got it to my recent version. I'm terrified every time through most of the process, it doesn't come easily to me xD.

Also ofc, everyone can have whatever aesthetics they like - the sims is the perfect series to express that.

With my sims it really depends. I mostly make a sim that I really like and then use it as a base for other sims, but not always. Sometimes I make a sim that I think looks quite unique but it's still missing somethig when it comes to features and makeup face details. During those moments I just open up my body shop sometime later or the next day and try to tweak this sim, sometimes it's more than once. And other times I end up liking the idk 3rd attempt but i still keep going since i want to make more similair sims, and also it's tiring to start the process from the beginning every time xD.

sry for the baldness xD - i deleted the wip hair conversion files they had and now i can't never change their hairstyles lol, idk how i did it for those two last sims seriously.

As you can see, all those sims have this maxis chain necklace, which means that I started the process using the same base sim and it just evolved into many differet results lol.

Other times I'm editing some maxis face templates to make them more my style (it's really fun!)

I also made one of my sims face into face template to make the rest of the family. I didn't want their faces to be - mouth: mom; eyes: dad; nose: mom - just a mix of both and adding something extra to make them a little more unique. Kinda pookleted their faces with two face templates.

I just really like this face. It can look either goofy or good xD.

I sometimes get inspired by images of some real life ppl (models, actors). When I'm really out of ideas I'm also dowloading sims made by others and use them as a base - just tweaking their features to be my style, mostly it's about face proportions and replacing the cc they used to the one I have. There is muuuch more examples that I could give but a lot of times it's just a result of tweaking some sims a couple of times xD.

Also due to the fact that i make my sims in body shop, idk how their faces will look whit face expressions. I was always using my sims to create previews for my cc conversions so I'm also testing them that way and if something looks too off - I'm just going back to body shop to fix that.

I think I've developed my style around the clay hair conversions that I've made - I wanted the sims in my previews to go well together with clay hair. I remember that I've picked the hair first, THEN sculpted my sims faces. There just werent that many to choose from at 1st.

I don't really use face templates - I have some, but I don't use them much - i think the proportions on faces of my sims are the closest to the maxis sims 🤔. I like their sharp features so when I'm stuck with making a sim, I'm using the pooklet method with those maxis templates but only a tiiiny bit - like 10-20% and only on those parts of the faces that I want to tweak a little more. After that I'm going back to editing the face myself.

(also a lil bonus of my sim from 2017, the only older picture that i have, i found it recently by accident and i think this is the only time when it's kinda in-context to post it 🤣).

its time, im in my charon era

ive made my first three rpg horror games :DDD

there's three because two of them are parodies and then there's one actual legit one

all three are in authentic charon game format: rpg maker 2000, similar art style, similar horror premise, short story

i did it for the aesthetic OKAY

⚠️ Before venturing into any of my works, please heed my disclaimer/rules;; I don't want obstructive people engaging with me or my works ⚠️

✿ warning: running these games is a gamble because rpg maker 2000 is old software that windows is trying to assassinate (i cant even run it on my computer sometimes, i have to use a virtual machine or the game editor lol) so i apologize if it doesn't work ✿

the readme has troubleshooting solutions, and easyrpg exists to combat this, but it's not perfect. for example, it changes the text a little bit, which ruins the aesthetic

if ur like me and u care about the aesthetic a lot, then use a virtual machine, otherwise if you have a laptop and not a hardcore gaming pc, the game will probably run fine.

(the one time that having low quality graphics is good xD)

Quite a bunch of them are related to our latest comic about Riddle and his mom, some are related to our previous replies, and some are just about the characters in general.

But before I start I wanted to note one thing: I’m probably going to start skipping some asks, and I’m sorry for that. I always try to answer everyone, but it’s getting more difficult for me to keep up, especially when writing replies where I don’t really have much to say. I’m not saying that you should stop: we read everything and appreciate you sharing your thoughts about characters with us; but please keep in mind that I might not reply. Like I’ve mentioned, me writing replies takes one (sometimes up to two) hour per day, and since I’m an artist, not a writer, it’s especially exhausting for me mentally lol I’m sorry about that.

Unfortunately I haven’t seen that one, but I’m glad it exists! After experiencing ch1 and seeing Riddle being so down and kind of anxious about returning home during winter break, it’s impossible not to get a “GO DO SOMETHING TREY TELL HER TELL HER” kind of thought. Or “MURDER HER”, it depends lol

Yeah that makes sense, the prosecutors of this franchise just can’t do their job without doing something funky lol But what I love is the fact that it’s completely useless, be it a regular collar or a magical one, so basically it’s just a petty way to humiliate Ace because he is being annoying.

Idia is absolutely aware of all of these things and they absolutely surround him, and he is probably far less innocent than the game allows him to be lol But whether he really loves playing hentai dating games and buys erotic doujins depends on a story we’re telling in posts and drawings. Sometimes it fits better for him to be totally into all this stuff and be that gross otaku trope (with body-pillows, waifu-mousepads and kinks that are absolutely vile), sometimes it fits him better to just be aware of all that but not necessarily do it actively.

I guess the “default” state for us it that he has seen and actively read/played some stuff, so he is aware! But then again, he also seems like someone who wouldn’t want to see any smut with his precious waifus lol

We also don’t really headcanon characters’ sexualities, so I can’t really answer that question, sorry :( Whoever we ship them with, that’s their sexuality. So I guess they’re all gay lol

You’re not stupid, Anon! It’s inmon (lewd crest, womb tattoo), basically a hentai trope. I don’t know if there are any strict rules about these tattoos, but in doujins that I’ve seen they’re usually used to make a character having it uncontrollably horny lol “Stupid and eager to breed” kind of horny. So I guess it really is a curse of sorts. But sometimes a succubus-type character could have it.
