(mgv) also purring is mostly subconscious but if someone realizes they're purring when they don't mean to they can stop it without issue. the 'desire' may still be there but most adults can ignore it. quieting purrs is one of those things kids learn as they grow up and go to school. purring or rumbling (all omegas can purr, and 30% of alphas can purr while the rest can only rumble) in public is an annoyance at worst. like playing music on a bus without headphones
