a thing that will stick with me from tenderfoot tactics is that in the last leg of the game the spirits will start showing their hand in their encounters with you. while they were always a bit antagonistic towards tangerine and their party, in the end they openly question vanquishing the fog. it questions the relationship between spirits and goblins, which up until that point was shown to be symbiotic. maybe i need to venture out and do more of their second encounters to see it explored more, bc that seemed to be really interesting
