Fell in Love
spencer reid x gn!reader
summary: you hadn't expected your friend spencer to be home from his most recent case yet, let alone passed out on your couch
warnings: confessions, kissing, fluff, no use of y/n
word count: 1.5k
The moment the key hit the lock of your front door, you practically felt a weight fall off your shoulders. You had been working all day and there was nothing you wanted more than to change into your pyjamas and watch tv for the rest of the night.
Once inside your apartment, you shut the door, instantly dropping your bag to the floor and your keys onto the table. Your shoes were kicked off and your jacket was strewn across a random chair in a matter of seconds and you were ready to run into your bedroom.
But, as you passed by the living room, you caught a glimpse of someone sleeping on your couch, shoes and coat still on.
Really, you should have been a bit more startled by the sight of someone in your home, considering you lived alone, but you were all too familiar with Spencer's habit of dropping by unannounced.
You stopped in your tracks, walking around to the front of the couch and called his name.
"Spencer" you were met with an annoyed groan as he flipped onto his other side.
"Spencer" you called again, louder, shoving his shoulder slightly. No response.
"Dr. Spencer Reid" you practically yelled right into his ear and you watched him jump this time, turning to face you again.
"I gave you a key for emergencies" you scolded, watching as he sat up and groggily rubbed the sleep from his eyes.
"I'm sorry" he sounded overly sincere "I didn't want to go home."
Then you realised that this wasn't just his regular habit of dropping in whenever he was bored, he needed comfort. You knew all to well the toll his job took on him, with everything thatâs happened to him you were surprised he was able to hold up as well as he did.
âOh Spencerâ you half-whispered, sitting down on the couch right beside him, shoulder practically pressed against his. âDo you wanna talk about it?â.
âNot really, I just need to get my mind off everythingâ he sat up a bit straighter, facing you now.
You nodded in response.
âIs that new?â his gaze was suddenly fixated on your wrist as he reached down to your new watch.
âIt isâ you told him, lifting up your arm to show off the item adorned with a silver band.
âDid you get it in a pawn shop?â he seemed to be doing a pretty good job at distracting himself now, taking interest in random things like he always did.
âHow did you know?â you laughed slightly, bringing your arm back down to your side.
âItâs Cartierâ he explained âI know you wouldnât be able to afford a new one, they range from four thousand to hundreds of thousands of dollarsâ.
âWowâ you feigned offence.
âI didnât mean it like that, I just know you wouldnât spend that kind of money, even when you treat yourselfâ he almost panickingly explained himself but you still felt a little proud at him knowing things about you. You hated spending a lot of money on yourself and you wanted to treat yourself, hence the new item in your collection.
âDid you know that Cartier was the first healer to use platinum in jewellery making? And they popularised the wristwatch in 1904, itâs really quite interestingâ
âI didnât, Reidâ you joked. âDo you want some food? I got groceries yesterday so I could make you anything you wantâ.
âIâm okayâ he sighed slightly âIâm just tiredâ
âYou can sleep in my bed, no reason you should be hurting your back on the couch"
"No its okay, I don't want to put you out. I'm fine out here, really."
"I'm not going planning on going to bed for a while, at least go in there and get some rest, okay?"
He simply nodded his head and got up to go to your bedroom, calling out a goodnight as he approached the door.
You spent a few hours lounging about, mindlessly watching Friends reruns to procrastinate anything that actually needed to be done. Eventually though, the tiredness caught up to you and you decided to camp out on the couch for the night.
You cracked open your bedroom door and the small amount of light that flooded in from the hall presented Spencer completely out of it in your bed, his white shirt half unbuttoned and his trousers twisted around him while the rest of his clothes were piled on the floor beside him.
You smiled to yourself as you went to grab a spare pillow and blanket from your wardrobe, preparing to set yourself up on the couch for the night.
As you went to leave the room once again, you heard him sleepily call your name.
"Yeah?" you turned around to him again, seeing him adjust himself slightly.
âDo you want the your bed back?â He began to sit up, the rustling sound of the duvet filling the air.
âYou can stay there, donât worry about itâ there was a silence then, you could tell he was about to say something, but he was struggling to get it to slip past his lips.
"Could you stay with me, please" he looked away bashfully "just for a bitâ. You couldnât see his face, but you knew he was giving you a puppy-dog look, eyes wide and lip practically quivering.
âOf courseâ you dumped everything that was in your hands onto the end of the bed and crawled up beside Spencer.
Without another word, you pressed yourself up right against him, grabbing his hand with yours and smoothing your thumb over the back of his hand. Just the few moments of silence with you sitting there had done Spencer some good, he had already felt himself calming down, and some of his recent anxieties melting away.
The quiet didnât last long though before Spencer was saying your name again. âCan I tell you something?â
You turned your head to look at him, your eyes finally adjusting to the dark so you could see all of his emotions bleeding through his expressions. You nodded your head, humming slightly to urge him on.
âI really appreciate you, a lotâ he hesitated slightly, searching for the words to use next.
âI appreciate you too Spenceâ you requited.
âNo, Iâm thankful for everything you do. You have always been there when I need you, you always know exactly what to say to me, you care about me. And I truly hope you can say the same about meâ
âOf course I canâ
âI need you in my life more than you could ever knowâ he continued âyouâre the most important person to me in the whole world, I donât know what Iâd do without you.â
You looked at him, almost flabbergasted, not knowing what to say that would truly encapsulate how much you cared about him, how happy you were that he appreciated you.
âI like youâ he paused âI love you, so muchâ his words were powerful, they rung in the air as they travelled towards your ears.
âLove?â you repeated, questioning his use of the word. You were no stranger to platonic love but his previous confessions had you questioning the intention of his last sentence.
âI love you, I want to be able to call you mine. I want to come home to you every day, to spend every minute I can with you, to have a future where youâre the centre of all my plans.â
You were practically stumped, the emotions you were feeling rendering your mouth useless.
âIf you donât feel the same way-â he suddenly became incredibly panicked, spitting out as many words as he could to explain himself before you could cut him off.
âSpencerâ you took a deep breathe âI love you tooâ it was a much shorter confession than his, but you didnât need to say anything more to him, the confirmation was all he needed.
In the time it took you to blink, your faces were centimetres apart. And then his lips were on yours.
Your body felt like it lit up on that moment, the feeling of his lips on yours waking the butterflies in your stomach. You wasted no time tangling your fingers into his hair and lightly tugging at the roots as his hands slid around your waist, softly massaging your flesh.
It was gentle, his tongue softly slipping into your mouth as you let him do what he wanted, let him take the control.
The kiss was short though, as sleep had began to take over both of you. You mutually pulled away, silently agreeing to lie down, cuddling into one another.
With one more peck on the lips, you rested your head on his chest and closed your eyes.
There was plenty of time to talk it out, to figure out everything between each other, but for now all you needed was the feeling of one another pressed together and the feeling of mutual admiration.

INFINITY â F. READER x GOJO SATORU
When was the last time you slept? You couldn't tell, but Satoru was determined to get you to rest.
cw: slightly angsty if you squint, just idiots in love unable to communicate properly, death mentioned (the usual jjk content) â 1,3k words
a/n: i'm going through my wips, finishing them finally and posting, don't mind me â„
âWhen was the last time you slept?â
Satoruâs soft voice entered your mind and brought it back to reality. You were exhausted, having no sleep for few days already. Your eyes felt heavy, your mind was foggy and as you tried to push through the fatigue, you struggled to concentrate on even the simplest tasks. Everything felt like itâs taking twice as much effort as usual and more and more often you were catching yourself at making silly mistakes that you wouldnât normally do. It was probably the fact you were standing at the little kitchen unit in the hotel room you share with Gojo for the mission, and the cup you were trying to fill with water overflown already.
âShit,â you cussed quietly, putting down the kettle and grabbing the roll of paper towels, knocking a bottle while you reached next to it. Of course it was open and another portion of liquid spilled all over the counter and the floor.
âHey, whoa, Iâll deal with it,â the strongest was quick to take everything from your hands, smiling in amusement at the soft groan that escaped your mouth. âSo? When did you sleep last time?â
âI donât remember,â you grumbled, pinching the bridge of your nose. The job you had been assigned was taking everything from you and it wasnât because it was hard. It really wasnât much above the ordinary and your partner turns every task into a childâs play, but it was the unpredictability of the curses you were targeting that made you go without sleep for a week already. You had at most four hours of rest, broken into short naps when you just passed out and now, you were awake for 43 hours straight. It was taking a toll on your mind and body, the fatigue was like a weight on your shoulders, making your movements sluggish and your thoughts slow.
You sighed, rubbing your eyes aggressively, a desperate attempt to wipe away the foggy haze from your sight. Itâs been some time since you donât see clearly anymore, your brain was pulling tricks on you and though you couldnât blame it for that, you also wished it to keep up for just a little longer
âGo to sleep,â Gojo told you, wiping away the water that you spilled all over the kitchen area. âIâll deal with anything that might pop up,â he reassured, though his tone was everything but caring. He was teasing you, his playful nature and smugness fronting in his behavior as always. He wasnât bothered by the mission, he was doing his job flawlessly and frankly, you were sent with him only to make sure people around are safe because Satoru has a habit of not caring too much about casualties.
âYou know I canât do that,â a groan from you only made the man chuckle. You were in the middle of war â it felt like it, at least â there was a plague of curses, most of them reaching first grade, day after day appearing in bigger quantities and it was straight up way too dangerous to let yourself to drift away. Last time you managed to close your eyes for a little longer than an hour, one of the demons broke into the hotel you were staying in and nearly killed you. It seemed like they were just waiting for the right moment to attack, when your guard is down and youâre vulnerable and you knew that once you fall asleep, youâre not going to wake up on time. Even if Gojo was volunteering to fight, you were convinced the moment heâd step away from you, youâd be dead. And that was the last position on your wishlist.
âI told you Iâll take care of the curses while youâre sleeping, donât be so dense,â the strongest just shrugged, seemingly unbothered but the grin was ghosting over his lips, making you wish you could wipe it off his stupid handsome face. While you were suffering, Satoru was sleeping just fine, not caring about a thing because he didnât need to care about being in danger when he always had a nice, protective layer of damn infinity around himself. The world could be burning and not a single spark would reach his sleeping form. Rest was a luxury he was able to afford during this mission and sadly, you couldnât because once youâre not awake and ready to protect yourself, youâll be swiped off the board.
âWhy would you even bother, huh?â You snapped, not sparing him a look while you approached the window. The streets seemed oddly calm, now as dark as the sky above them, and you wished it would stay normal for the next hours so you would have one less thing to deal with during the night time.
Truth is, the very fact of sharing a job with Gojo is a curse in itself, one impossible to exorcise and it was taking every bit of professionalism that you had in you to just push through it. Your relation with the honored one is difficult. Itâs complicated and straight up unpleasant, it seemed like you were stuck in an endless cycle of bickering. Every conversation seemed to turn into an argument, and every disagreement seemed to escalate into a full-blown fight. It was exhausting, emotionally and mentally, it was straining but no matter how many times you tried, you couldnât manage to break the pattern and instead, you just kept going around in circles. The words you spoke to each other were getting increasingly cutting and the anger was growing with each passing day. Even when you did manage to reach a solution, it was always a matter of time before another conflict would arise and youâd be back to square one. It was as if you were trapped in a maze, with no clear path to a peaceful co-existence and that was enough reason for you to be convinced that Gojo would be the last person on earth worrying about your well-being.
âI donât want you to die on me because of the lack of sleep, come one,â he shrugged, throwing away the wet paper towels and joining you near the window. âRest, Iâll stay awake.â
âIâll get myself a coffee,â you said, not convinced at all. Truth is, only few times you allowed yourself to pass out was when Satoru was awake, because you wouldnât dare to close your eyes when he was sleeping himself, but you couldnât trust him. And youâd feel horrible if you made him stay awake just so you can sleep.
âNo, seriously, no coffee for you,â he grabbed you by the wrist and pulled towards the bed.
âGojo, do you not understandââ
âShhh,â he hushed, manhandling you onto the mattress, forcing your shoes off and gathering the covers to tuck you in as if you were a child.
âI hate youâŠâ Was all you could mumble. It was a torture. The soft pillows underneath your head and warm comforter were so perfect, so inviting for you to just let yourself drift off. You wished to let the heavy eyelids down, to give your eyes the rest they need and allow your brain to reset and clear. You felt like your body was betraying you, the exhaustion was seeping into your bones, making it impossible to move.
âYeah, yeah,â to your surprise, Gojo pushed his own boots off as well and in a moment he was in bed with you, sharing sheets and pulling you towards himself. âNow, here. You are now inside my infinity. Youâre safe, sleep.â
Infinity. It felt safe, suddenly, but was it because of infinity or the man that now had his arms wrapped around you? You couldnât tell and frankly, you couldnât speak either, so you just hummed something in response as the sleep has taken you away.

Imaginary (Girl)Friend
Leah Williamson x Reader
Word Count: 1.3k
[WOSO Masterlist]
You never talk about Leah.Â
Sheâs your best friend, your better half, the first person you think to tell anything to. But you still never talk about Leah.Â
You donât talk about the fact that the two of you grew up together. Or that she prefers the crust cut off her plain ham sandwiches. Or how she stays up late just to call you even after playing a late night game away from home.Â
You never talk about Leah because no one knew who she was. To you, sheâs the most amazing person you know, the only person youâll ever give your heart to. To everyone else, sheâs simply another nameless face on another football team.Â
And then the Euros happened.
The Euros happened, England won, and everyone started noticing Leah.
Itâs hard at first. To watch your normally shy girlfriend have to shoulder the constant attention from both fans and media alike, to go from unknown to stopped every five seconds for a picture. Where Leah once held your hand while strolling on Sunday walks now became group outlettings lest you manage to secure an indoor date somewhere secluded.
Leah didnât want you being dragged to national attention with her, and after watching the toll it took on her, you meekly agreed. While Leah became a professional footballer, you went to college, got a job, and now work a normal 9 to 5. Being famous for any reason, let alone dating someone famous, was something you never had an interest in.
So no, you donât talk about Leah the footballer.
Leah the girlfriend however⊠you talk about her quite too much.Â
But your friends always let you gush your heart out about the girl whoâs had your heart since you were teenagers.
Itâs friends like these that you treasure. They never push too hard, understanding when you skirt around bringing your girlfriend out to public events with large crowds. A couple of them are newer to the group, friends from work, but still respectful all the same.
Some of you even formed a recreational futsal team, just something to do after work once a week. Itâs fun, getting to use some of those football skills youâve acquired through your childhood playing on youth teams.Â
Todayâs one of those days. After wrapping up the last of your paperwork, you all pile into a car and make your way to the community center.Â
The first half goes by quickly, not really memorable in any way. Â
Youâre taking a quick water break during half-time when one of your friends suddenly stiffens.Â
âHoly shit.â
You look up to see her eyes widen at a spot over your shoulder.Â
âWhat?â you ask, alarmed, trying to see what sheâs looking at. But two hands on your shoulder stops you quickly, jerking you right back to face her.
âDonât look, but I think a couple of the Lionesses are sitting in the bleachers, watching our game.â
You almost trip ripping yourself out of her grip, doing the exact opposite of what she just said.
Sure enough, you can spot the Three Best Friends huddled near the back of the bleachers, baseball caps and hoodies on as if that combo would actually help someone go incognito.
Almost as if she can feel your gaze, Leahâs face brightens, resting scowl turning into a grin as she waves at you. Before you can so much as react, a hand on your arm spins you back around.
âOh my god, what are we going to do? I donât want to embarrass myself in front of the Leah Williamson, Keira Walsh, and Georgia Stanway!â
You snort, gently shaking her hands off. âFirst off, itâs just rec futsal. If we lose itâs nothing that life ending. Also, we can always blame it on the court if we play poorly.â
She doesnât look convinced, but the whistle from the ref calls before you can convince her some more.Â
Taking your spot on the court again, you canât help but feel a bit giddy. With the constant attention and numerous commitments clogging up your girlfriendâs schedule, itâs been a while since Leahâs come to one of your games.Â
And so what if you end up showing off a little bit? Your girlfriend is here watching and youâre only human.
By the time the game ends, your team is up by six, four scored by you.
âGod damn, we should try to invite the Lionesses out every week if youâre going to ball out like that when theyâre here,â Riley jokingly complains, laughing when you shove her back playfully.
âSpeaking of the LionessesâŠâ
Spinning around you see your girlfriend and her friends starting their descent down to the court. You skip to meet them halfway, ignoring the awestruck looks coming from all around.Â
Leah gives you a quick hug before pulling back, mindful of prying eyes.Â
âLeah! What are you doing here?â
âJust wanted to surprise my girl,â she mumbles, cheeks burning bright red as she instinctively pulls her cap down tighter on her head. âThatâs okay right? I just havenât seen you play live in a while and I--â
âOf course itâs fine.â Your cheeks are starting to hurt a bit by how wide youâre smiling.
You turn quickly to her two friends by her side.Â
âHappy to see you guys too! Thanks for coming out.â
Georgia and Keira exchange devilish grins before each throwing an arm around your shoulders.Â
âWe wouldâve come out to a match sooner if lovergirl over here hadnât gatekeeped when your games were.â
Keira nods dramatically. âIt was like pulling teeth with this one, trying to convince her to let us tag along today. Youâd almost think she wanted us to forget she had a girlfriend.â
Leah rolls her eyes at the accusations. âA). I wasnât gatekeeping. B). It was like pulling teeth today --- you wouldnât give me a moment of peace until I agreed. And C). If I wanted you to forget I had a girlfriend, we wouldnât be here having this conversation.â
âPshh, as if you could make us forget our favorite Milton Keynes native. Weâd choose her in the divorce,â Georgia quips, ignoring the eyebrow Leah raises her way.
Before the three of them can get in a shoving match, you suddenly remember your friends that youâve left behind.
âWait, let me introduce you guys to my teammates.â
Your friends look shell-shocked, eyes darting between you and the little posse of professional footballers youâve amassed around you when you return.Â
âGuys, this is my girlfriend Leah and her two friends.â
Thereâs a moment of stunned silence. Then a whispered, âwhy are you introducing three Lionesses to us as if you have dinner together on the regular?â Riley honestly looks like sheâs about to pass out, but you decide to humor her a bit.
âBecause I do? Keira and G come down sometimes during breaks, and I do live with Leah. SoâŠâÂ
Your explanation seems pretty straightforward to you, but if anything, it only makes things more confusing for your friends. Â
They exchange looks with each other before Riley cautiously asks, âYou were being serious about that?â
Itâs your turn to be confused, face scrunching up. âWhat do you mean?â
âWell you kept talking about your mysterious girlfriend Leah without ever introducing us to herâŠâ
âOr showing us a picture,â another voice adds on, trying to be helpful.
âWe just kinda assumed Leah wasnât real,â Riley finishes off lamely.
You roll your eyes, elbowing your girlfriend when you feel Leah snort next to you.
She recovers quickly, giving your friends a smile. âWell rest assured, the girlfriend is very much real. Itâs nice to meet you guys, Iâm Leah.â

đ€
Donât focus on the pain, donât focus on the pain she repeated over and over again in her head from under the safety of the soft cool cotton comforter as if it would keep away the pounding pain, protect her from it.Â
It would not.Â
Even with the house dead silent, the fan on for a little noise and all the black out curtains drawn that her boyfriend insisted he buy when he learned about her diagnosis from childhood- she knew relief would not find her. She shifted trying to readjust and find a more comfortable position to lay in, the little pocket above her head letting much needed cool air into her little bubble.Â
She knew a few weeks ago she should have reached out to her neurologist but sheâd just been so busy it kept slipping her mind and the aspirin had been holding her over but this? no this one was a monster and it was full peak right now. It started almost a day ago after the LA screening for The Bikeriders and had not gone away.
It didnât help that they also just got back from the UK press tour. All the flying, the red carpets, the flashing lights and noise was starting to take its toll. Recently her boyfriend of just a little over a year revealed to her how much he enjoyed having her accompany him and how he loves sharing those moment with her. Hence all the traveling sheâd done recently at his side.Â
They still believed in healthy space but they truly enjoyed being together as much as they could.Â
Usually sheâd fly out every 2 or so weeks to wherever he was since her job was more flexible, their relationship was long distance since she was still living in New York. Which theyâd also discussed changing that status but they both agreed to iron out the plans once the tour was over and he had a few weeks of down time. They figured the actual move would happen after he filmed in NY the end of summer. Knowing summer was her favorite time to be home, ever the thoughtful boyfriend.Â
Though she was nervous to tell her family. They adored Austin but theyâre a very close family and not seeing them everyday would take a lot of time to adjust to but it was important at this point in their relationship to actually be together. He even mentioned heâd love to look for a New York apartment which she had thought was unnecessary they could just stay with any of her family members when they visited until he reminded her she wouldnât want her family to know she was his pretty girl who got cock drunk and loud when he fuck her stupid. Yes their own place was necessary.Â
She felt a sharp pain at her temple and groaned. It was like her brain was telling her to stop thinking about all the stress and think about the pain she was in, which she didnât want to do either honestly. She wish she could sleep it off but it was impossible.Â
She flipped her pillow to the cool side and once again tried to empty her brain. Deep breaths girl deep breaths, the pain isnât forever.Â
She heard the front door slam shut up, which made her curl up even more in a fetal position and the deep smooth voice of her favorite person calling out to her. That voice was her favorite in the whole world but right now she needed silence. She had hoped the migraine would have been over by the time he got back but she wasnât so lucky. Now she would have to face the music.
She had been telling him the past couple weeks it was just little headaches nothing serious, he knew she got migraines but hadnât experienced any with her so far. The past 2 years she hadnât needed to be medicated, the doctor couldnât tell her why they suddenly stoped and why she was only getting little headaches every once in a while. This is why she was so unprepared and completely out of her medication she hadnât needed in so long; she truly thought they had finally stopped for good.Â
She couldnât have been more wrong with the pain that was throbbing in her head. The front of her skull a constant ache and the back at the base of her skull and neck a wicked throbbing. The pain in her neck and shoulders unbearable even right between her eyes a sharp pain. She felt like she was dying. The fatigue of the attack her body was under was starting to catch up to her. She was trying to hold back the tears but the sound of boots pounding up the stairs along with the call of baby had her on the verge of a tearful melt down.Â
She wanted to avoid the conversation that would surely come after this, when he would witness her in a peak migraine state. She felt horrible because she knew heâd feel like it was his fault for encouraging her to come with him to all the press events but it wasnât his fault.Â
She was an adult and she should have addressed this weeks ago with him and her doctor when the headaches started and not try to hide it to avoid worrying him.Â
She should have been honest and though she has no reason to be she was scared to tell him.  She was scared he may think she wasnât able to handle this kind of life. What if he wanted someone who didnât need to recharge so often? Or someone who could just do anything with him at anytime not be laying in a bed sometimes for more then a day in pain and grumpy. Someone who couldnât be touched in this state or be the prefect girlfriend.Â
She also knew she sounded ridiculous that wasnât who Austin was but it didnât stop the insecurity she had about her migraines and how they held her back from life sometimes. Held her back from being fully emerged into his lifestyle. The guilt wrecked her.Â
She knew she was mostly feeling insecure about her migraines because of those comments. She wasnât normally insecure but recently she had read some comments which usually donât bother her, about her and Austinâs relationship and how unhappy she looked being on press tour and if she was so unhappy why not just leave so he could be with someone who was happier with him. Those people obviously ignored the photos that were not taking at events that showed how happy they were but not knowing or they probably didnât care she couldnât be happier than she was, she was just suffering from more frequent migraines.Â
So of course theyâd focus on the bad, not all the fans but some. A lot of fans, who she felt were real fans could simply see how happy Austin seemed again. She knew how that felt, she met Austin as a fan and all his relationships and flings after Vanessa seemed lackluster and without any real connection, so she got it. But some of the comments were really getting to her at this moment. Especially the ones about how he looked happier with Kaia (which she knew was a lie from hell, she heard all about that relationship from Austin, his last ex) and then the ones about Vanessa looking happy ALL the time, which was funny because Austin spoke to her about their relationship also and if fans only knew it wasnât always perfect, yes they loved each other but still there was a lot of hurt in that relationship for Austin.Â
Then when those things would pop up sheâd think what sheâd say to her mans exâs if she ever met them or if sheâd just ignore them.Â
Her head throbbed hard from all the unnecessary thinking and stress she was bringing onto herself, things she normal never paid any mind when the bedroom door swung open.Â
Baby? He called again, steps coming to a slow stop halfway into the room when she assumed he noticed the state of the room; all the curtains drawn, the TV and lights all off, no noise but the fan she placed near the bed even though the central air was on and the pile of blankets on the bed covering her balled up body. Not a single part of her visible as she quickly stuck her hand out the air pocket at by her head careful to not let any light in and weakly waved at him. She could hardly speak let alone move her head to acknowledge him anymore.Â
âBaby you still in bed? Itâs 10â He asked as he walked closer, not that he cared it was just unusual for her and caused a bit of concern to form in the pit of stomach.Â
He watched the head or heâs assuming area of the blanket shake in a yes motion. Even with the black out curtains there was still just enough light to make out everything in the room.Â
âBaby whatâs wrongâ he asked in a soft voice from the edge of the bed, his hand running gently up and down some part of her body under the blanket. Her body coiled away from his touch. He tried to shake away the slight sting it caused him.
âuh migraineâ she whispered weakly, if he wasnât mistaken he could hear the underlying embarrassment in her tone. What could she be embarrassed about?Â
âOh shit baby, you need anything? Anything I can do?â He genuinely asked in gentler tone, though she couldnât see how his eyes soften knowing she was probably in an immense amount of pain.Â
He felt useless.Â
âUh no, just gotta be left alone for a whileâ this time there wasnât any embarrassment in her tone just guilt.Â
Austin tried to school his own face and tone of disappointment. He know he couldnât do anything truly to make it go way but he wanted to help, wanted to be there for her like sheâd been there for him on all his overwhelming days and nights from filming and traveling. His sweet girl deserved that. Then he thought back to this one thing heâd came across when he was reading online about migraines when she first told him she got them pretty frequently in the past. He quickly dismissed that idea, a slight blush creeping up his neck, he felt a little embarrassed himself for even thinking to suggest that, who says that to their partner Austin? He thought. She clearly needed to be alone.Â
âOk Iâm just head downstairs then, call me if you need anythingâ Â
He took another moment eyeing her blanket fortress before turning and slowly heading Towards their bedroom door.
âAustin?â He heard her call shyly, her voice still muffled from the layers covering her.
âYea?â His own tone was laced with curiosity.
âUhâŠthereâŠthere is one thing you could probably do for meâŠif you donât mind..if you do itâs ok-âÂ
He was quick to be at her side, slipping out his shoes, ready for whatever. His stomach burned a little thinking she may ask what he thought of just briefly a moment ago.
âAnythingâÂ
He watched her baby blue fresh set of nails slip from under the blanket and her hand reaching out for his. His own large hand was in hers before he even registered it moving. She tugged him lightly, his body following gently. He was careful not to touch her as he laid next to her, his chest near where her head was, he remembered her saying how she didnât like to be touched when she was having an episode, everything felt more intense and for some reason it usually amplified the pain.Â
âCan I use your hand for a while?â She asked shyly still under the safety of the blankets, he could hear her clearer through the hole she left at the top.Â
He felt guilty at the blood that rushed his cock.
âOf courseâ He said squeezing the right hand that held his left one.Â
He allowed her to maneuver his hand so that his left hand was under her head, she placed his fingers at the base of her skull, thumb on one side and his fore finger and pointer finger on the left side.
âCan you keep your fingers like this and apply as much pressure as you can? This are some of my pain points and the right kind of pressure can ease the pain a little, usually I tie a scarf but it isnât always helpfulâ she mumbled weakly.Â
He was confused.Â
âOh ok..I..I thought-âÂ
This wasnât something he read, though he seen something about heat compress. He was confused because he thought she was going to ask for his hand to give her an orgasm. That was something interesting that he had came across. It said it didnât work for everyone hence why he was slightly embarrassed to suggest it, he didnât want her to think he was only thinking with his dick.Â
He applied the pressure anyway, happy to help anyway he could.
âIs that good baby?â
âYou can press a bit harderâÂ
He did as she said, feeling her body adjust just the tiniest bit next to him. A soft sigh leaving her lips.
She soft voice thanked him. He hummed a response, his own body adjusting slightly to get more comfortable.  He would lay here as long as she needed.
After a few minutes of comfortable silence, she called his name.
âYea?â He asked feeling more tired himself than what he thought he was when he got home.
âWhat were you going to say? When I asked for your hand?â She replied softly voice full of the need for sleep.
His felt that fire and a blush come back. He chuckled to himself. Now was good as anytime to confess his unconventional suggest and figure out if it was something helpful to her or if it was something she even heard of before.Â
âUh..I..I had been reading about migraines when you first told me you got them, trying to understand them better-â He was cut off by a whimper she made, a pitiful sound of endearment. He knew what she was thinking, she was taken back by his willingness to be there for her however he could and that meant trying to understand what she would be going through. He kept going. âAnd I was reading how orgasms can sometimes help temporarily, but I didnât want you to think I was just thinking with my dickâ he concluded softly. Feeling better about just getting it out and in the open, it didnât feel so dirty anymore, like he was taking advantage somehow. He knew her better than to think she would think that but it didnât stop his insecurities about the topic.Â
He felt her body stilled.
shit was she mad at him? He felt the slight unease creep into his stomach and his insecurities intensify at the thought that she would be mad at him for suggesting such a thing when he noticed her right hand slip from under the covers.Â
Her soft palm facing up and open in a silent question and permission, are you still willing? And of course you can touch me.Â
He let go of the breath he didnât know he was holding and gave her his right hand, her soft fingers gently pulled his under the covers, her forearm resting ontop of his own as she slipped his hand under hers to be guided where he couldnât see. Once his rough fingers tips ghosted over her wet pussy he didnât need anymore guidance, he knew her too well, maybe better than she knew herself.Â
She gasped at the first touch and her hand left his to grip his forearm, as heâd started to explore her wet folds.
âHow are you this wet already sweet girl? Hmm? Just canât help yourself around daddy?â Austin questioned softly from above her, awe clear in his voice. He stayed laid on his left side, careful his body other than his hands didnât touch her.Â
âFuckâ she groaned quietly from under the blankets. âGuess my body always needs you daddyâ she moaned out. He groaned as his fingers applied more pressure and speed.Â
He felt the twitch in cock as she coated his fingers and moaned softly and weakly. His fingers switching between slow and quick. He was so painfully hard. He had to stay focus this was about her but how could he when her tight wet warm pussy was calling him? Begging for him. Her body was hardly moving just her hips grinding slowly into him.
Even fully covered by a ton of blankets he was still completely in-tune with her body. He didnât need to see her face though he wished he could to kiss her soft lips, to know the pleasure he was giving her, to know she was close.Â
He blindly felt the warmth and wetness of her pussy driving into his hand slowly chasing the pleasure he was somehow able to provide in this state.
âCum for me pretty girl, take itâ he groaned lowly.
She moaned out, she sounded so exhausted and pitiful but he could tell she wanted this, needed it and he was more than happy to give it to her.Â
She squealed softly as she rocked against his hand, her body exploding and the sweetness of her drenching his fingers, her face seeking the comfort of his embrace under the blanket, he moved over slightly as his left hand still pressed to the pain points guided her, help her her blanket covered forehead lay against his chest. Her hips kept rocking slowly chasing the feeling.
âThere you go babyâ his husky voice praised even with a migraine she was still his good girl. So wet and warm and tight for him.
Moments passed with his fingers still cupping her warm sticky folds and the other still applying the pressure she required, neither hand moved as he felt her drift of to sleep, her body finally relaxing from the endorphins of her orgasm.Â
Austin woke to the press of a soft warm body slightly on top of his and light kisses and licks against his neck. He stirred and tried to adjust his eyesight to the darkness that had over taking the room. It must be late.
âHey babyâ her voice sounded softly, her lips suddenly near his own. She kissed his plump mouth, pecking kisses over and over. She sounded a lot better.
His arms moved to embrace her, pulling her further ontop of him and as close as he could get her.Â
âHey babyâ he replied his eyes seeking hers. The dimmed light from the hallway allowed him to finally see her. Though he didnât physically see her face earlier, he knew she looked more well rested than she had in the past day or two. Her eyes had a fatigue to them but he was sure that would clear up from the migraine once she got some more rest. All and all she almost looked back to her normal self.Â
Her hand snaked up his chest to cup his face.
âThank you, for everythingâ she told him a little emotionally.
He brought his lips to her for a passionate kiss, before laying his foreheads on hers.
âYou donât ever have to thank me, Iâm yours, thatâs what Iâm here for, to take care of youâ he whispered against her lips.
She pecked his again.Â
âAnd Iâm still going to say thank youâ she mumbled.
He pinched her side playfully as she laughed and pushed at him.
They just gazed at one another and she had to blink to stop the tears. She had woke to Austin on his back, her body against his. She had unconsciously sought his while she slept as the tension faded from her body and to her surprise his hand was still gripping the back of her head. The pressure had loosed when he eventually fell asleep but his hand was still there nonetheless. She didnât think she could love the man more and here she was slipping further in the ocean that was Austin and some how she was learning she could breathe underwater. He was everything to her.
âI have a surprise for you sweet boyâ she said smiling at him like he hung the moon and sheâd die on that hill that he did.
Austinâs chest ached in a good way. He never wanted this to end. Couldnât imagine it being any other way. Everything that had failed for him relationship wise lead him to this moment with her. He was better for it.Â
âHmm, whatâs that?âÂ
She nodded her head to the side of him and thatâs when he noticed the en-suite bathroom door open and the soft glow of candles burning. The scent of oils and salts hitting him. He quickly turned back to her.
âWh-âÂ
âYou were knocked out and I wanted to return the loveâÂ
âYou little sneakâ he accused tickling her sides.
She was quick to scramble away from his hold and climb over him getting to her feet and out of his grasp when his hands followed her as she head toward the bathroom.
She stopped short of the door as she pulled her oversize graphic shirt over her head.Â
âI would do that you know, sometimes, never with men though, I hated being touched during my migraines but when it was really bad and I had the energy I would do it myself to help ease the painâ she spoke from the doorway to the bathroom, the soft light surrounding her body, giving a even more beautiful glow to her brown skin. âI didnât think it would ever work from someone elseâs hand, not too sure what that means handsomeâ she smirked.
So she had done that before he thought but just never with man, no man had ever made her comfortable enough to try let alone achieve bringing her relief. Austin felt those butterflies in this stomach again, he felt a sense a pride swell in his chest. His cock was even stirring again. Thatâs exactly who he wanted to be for her, the man that gave what she needed, what others couldnât, he wanted to be the one no other man could compare to. He wanted to be her all.
She smirked at him almost as if she could read his every thought and she could because they mirror her own and how she felt about him.
âLets go loverboy, itâs time for the real showâÂ

Just Friends // Stiles Stilinski
Pairing: Stiles Stilinski x Fem!Reader
WC:1.7k
Summary: Stiles is struggling after being controlled by the Nogitsune, and he turns to you for help. But little does he know, it will turn your friendship into so much more. Takes place after season 3. (Allison isn't dead!!!)
Warnings: Swearing, angsty as fuck, sad Stiles, kissing, implied smut if you squint?, PTSD.
A/N: HI GUYS!!! I really like this fic and ofc I hope y'all will too! This is my first time writing about Stiles and I think I did pretty well! As always, enjoy!! And comments and reblogs are appreciated. P.S. lmk if y'all want me to do a part 2 where they tell their friends (Scott's reaction hee hee) - Claire âĄ
After Stiles was released from the control of the Nogitsune, things seemed to go back to normal. Well, at least thatâs what one would think from the outside.
The series of events had taken a severe toll on Stilesâs mental health, and even though he did a good job of hiding it, you were the one person who seemed to know what he needed.
It all started about a week after everything happened, it was the middle of the night and you were jolted awake by the sound of your phone buzzing by your head.
You were about to hit decline but then you saw it was Stiles and feelings of worry began to stir within you.
You quickly answered, rubbing the sleep out of your eyes as you forced yourself awake.
"Stiles, is everything okay?"
"Yeah...well not really. I hate to ask, but do you think you could drive over to my house. I just really don't want to be alone right now." Stiles's voice was groggy, and laced with exhaustion. The fact alone that he was asking you this made you immediately agree.
You hopped out of bed, not bothering to change out of your pajamas, slipped on your slippers, and you were on your way.
Your house wasn't far from Stiles's, about a five minute drive with no traffic.
You lived directly in the middle of him and Scott, being only a short distance from each. The close proximity was the main reason the three of you had stayed so close throughout your school years.
"Friends", that's all you and Stiles had ever been. Although, neither of you could deny the chemistry between the two of you, risking your friendship never seemed worth it.
It was on this night that all that would begin to change.
When you arrived at Stiles's house, he had left the door unlocked for you so you wouldn't have to fumble around with the spare key in the dark.
You found Stiles laying on his bed, staring blankly at the ceiling. He looked lost in thought, his eyes rimmed with dark circles. It hurt seeing him look so drastically different from the Stiles you knew, and you wanted to do whatever you could to help.
You laid down next to him, your body facing his.
"Hey..." Stiles began, still staring at the ceiling.
"Stiles, what's going on? You know you can trust me with anything right?"
"Yeah...It's just a lot to put into words." Stiles's voice cracked, which told you that he was fighting tears.
You sat up and stiles copied the movement. You were now both facing each other, sitting legs crossed on his bed. You pushed aside the unspoken vow between the two of you and placed his hands in yours. Stiles's breath hitched, and you could tell he was avoiding eye contact with you.
"Take all the time you need, I'll listen to every word." you said softly.
"I know everyone thinks I'm doing okay, but I can't even function. I can't sleep without having nightmares. I can't eat or do anything without remembering all the awful stuff he made me do. I didn't know who else to tell except you. Scott has his own set of issues, and you're the only person I trust like this."
Stiles began to ramble, and your heart broke as he did. How had you not noticed earlier? Yes, it had only been a week, but you knew Stiles better than anyone. You felt like an awful best friend.
"I'm so tired, I just want to feel normal again." He could no longer hold back the tears, the dam broke and Stiles became a sobbing mess.
You pulled him into your arms with no hesitation, which only made Stiles want to cry.
"No, no I'm going to get your clothes all wet." Stiles protested trying to pull away, but you wouldn't let him.
"A few tears never hurt anyone." You said.
At that Stiles let himself fall into you, his body going limp with exhaustion. You tried not to cry along with him, wiping your burning eyes to prevent the tears.
"It'll be okay." You whispered as Stiles's sobs turned into sniffles. He finally looked up, his cheeks wet from the tears that had escaped his puffy eyes.
You did the only thing you could think of and gave him two kisses, one peck on each cheek. Stiles lips turned up in a small smile, his cheeks still turning red despite his current state.
"I think the first thing we need to do is get you to bed." You smiled, pushing Stiles's messy hair back.
He looks at you and nods without moving from your arms. You lean back on his bed, pulling him with you. You positioned yourself to where Stiles was resting on top of your body, his head pressed to your chest. You kept your arms wrapped around him, squeezing his body in an attempt to comfort him.
As you were settling down you heard Stiles whisper your name softly.
"Yeah?"
"Promise you'll wake me up if I'm having a nightmare?"
"I promise." You replied as you reached down and laced your fingers with his.
Stiles gave you a half-hearted smile in response, his puffy eyes glazed over from fatigue.
"Thank you." Stiles murmured, fighting sleep.
"Shhh." Was your only response as you traced your fingers along his back.
"I love you." It was an incoherent whisper, so much that you couldn't be sure of his words. But something told you you had heard correctly.
By the time you went to reciprocate the statement, the room was filled with Stiles's muffled snores.
You sighed and proceeded to fall asleep yourself.
Stiles slept through the night for the first time in weeks.
After that the trajectory of your relationship began to shift.
From holding Stiles's hand to remind him that everything was okay when you were with your friends, to staying up all night listening to him talk.
You rarely got to sleep at home anymore, but you didn't mind. You weren't far if you needed something, and it helped Stiles get a good night's sleep. Yet he would still apologize every time. "I'm sorry to bother you again.", "I promise this is the last time.", when in reality you were definitely okay with an excuse to spend more time with him.
You had become his anchor to reality, and Stiles could feel things beginning to look up with every day that passed.
Your friends picked up on it too.
"So, are you and Stiles together, or..." Lydia and Allison asked when they managed to corner you at your locker one day. It was a question you didn't know how to answer. Eventually landing on, 'it's complicated.'
"What's going on with you and Stiles, I'm starting to feel like a third wheel when we're together." It was a joke, but there was certainly some truth behind it.
You laughed it off and changed the subject, but didn't forget the comment that night when you and Stiles laid in each other's arms drifting off to sleep.
Surprisingly, it wasn't you who finally brought it up, but Stiles.
It was a Friday night, and the two of you were at your house instead of his.
"Shit, I forgot clothes to change into." Stiles said as he fumbled through his backpack.
"It's all good, I have a spare pair of clothes in my drawer for you." You replied, pointing to the dresser.
Stiles smiled and laughed, holding eye contact with you for perhaps a moment too long.
"You take care of so much for me, sometimes I feel like you're my wife." It was a casual statement, but it put you at a loss for words.
You laughed awkwardly, failing to come up with a reply.
Stiles could very clearly read your emotions, he pushed the drawer shut and walked back over to sit next to you.
You tried to calm yourself, but your heart wouldn't stop beating at what felt like an unhealthy pace.
"You're my best friend..." Stiles began, taking your clammy hands in his.
"You've done so much for me in the past few weeks, just like a best friend should; but I can't help thinking that this feels like something more."
You felt as if the world stopped. You knew this conversation would come, but definitely not now. Your brain seemed to stop producing thoughts.
"Please tell me I'm not imagining all of this. I know this is a lot at once, but Y/N I love you." Stiles's voice shook from the overwhelming nerves.
"I love you too." You spoke for the first time in minutes, it felt amazing after you had heard it fall from his lips that first night you spent together.
Stiles's eyes gazed into yours, and suddenly the feeling of just your hands touching wasn't enough.
You reached over and grabbed Stiles face, finally closing the gap between the two of you.
You pulled Stiles down as you did, his body landing on top of you sinking into the kiss.
You tugged on his hair lightly, pulling him as close to you as humanly possible. Stiles fell deeper into the kiss, locking your hands together and pressing your body further into the soft mattress.
After a few minutes of pure bliss you broke apart. The air that filled your lungs was both a blessing and a curse. You needed to breathe, but the absence of his touch only made you want him more.
Stiles hovered over you, the sound of his heavy breathing was the only thing you could hear over your own beating heart.
"So I take it you're not just my best friend anymore?" Stiles giggled, pressing his forehead gently against yours.
"Nope."
You gave a sly smile before pulling Stiles down by his shirt and connecting your lips once more.

guilty as sin
You're a dedicated nurse who loves their job even when it means taking care of stubborn, battle-worn pro-heroes (or maybe especially then). Aizawa Shouta x gn!reader. Set between S6 & S7. Fluff, slight angst with comfort. SFW, 2k words.
The sterile scent of antiseptic fills the air as you walk down the pristine white hallways of Central Hospital. The raid against the Paranormal Liberation Front had left the medical facility overcrowded, understaffed, and bustling with activity. You yourself had been working tirelessly for the last 24 hours straight to care for the numerous injured heroes and civilians.Â
Exhaustion weighed heavily on your shoulders, your feet dragging slightly with each step. Your shift was supposed to have ended hours ago, and you were more than ready to clock out and get some much-needed rest. However, there was just one patient left to see.
You knock at the door.Â
"Good morning," you greet the man lying down on the bed. You don't have the strength to muster a smile, but that's okay. He doesn't seem to either.Â
Instead, he gives you a familiar nod. "Good morning."
He was a brooding, reserved man of a few words. With dark hair and even darker eyes - well, eye, the other being wrapped in bandages - he looked more tired than you some days. You can't fault him for that though. You knew he had been at the front lines of the battle that day and had paid a heavy price for it.Â
He sits up as you come closer, approaching his bedside. The room is quiet, save for the soft beeping of the machines monitoring his vitals.
"How are you feeling today?"
He shrugs. "I've been better. I've been worse."
"I can see that," you nod, noting the way his complexion is less pale and his hair less unruly today compared to the past week. You open the blinds for him, warm light streaming into the dim room. âMore sunlight ought to be good for you.â
âMhm,â is all he says, blinking up at the bright, blue sky out the window.Â
You take that as your cue to go about your usual tasks silently, adjusting his IV, checking his bandages, writing down his vitals.Â
Then, out of the blue, he says, âYouâve been working long hours lately. You should get some rest.âÂ
"Believe me, I will. Just as soon as you're taken care of first."
"I'm fine,â he responds in a clipped, dismissive tone of voice.
âFine or not, it's my job to make sure youâre comfortable and healing properly. You went through a lot, losing an eye and a leg. Frankly, Iâm not sure we should go through with discharging you tomorrow.â
He heaves a tired sigh, âLike I said, Iâve been better, but Iâve been worse, too.âÂ
Frowning, you sit down on the bedside chair and take a moment to look at him. Despite his stoic facade, you can see the toll all those years of being a hero have taken on him, especially the past few weeks. The dark circles under his remaining eye, the weary lines and scars etched into his face. The worried, pained look that lingers even when he's trying to relax.Â
"You know, it's okay to admit that you're not feeling great. From what I've been told, it seems like you've been through hell and back."
He shrugs again, leaning back against the pillows with a wince that he tries to hide. "It comes with the job. If anyone deserves your concern, it's my students."
âIt must be hard, seeing them fight in a war. Theyâre just children, after all.â
He nods grimly, his mouth a tight line. "And because of thisâ" he touches the bandages covering his eye "âmy quirk is pretty much useless now, especially on the villains weâre up against.â
He doesn't say it, but you can hear it in the tightness of his voice, his clenched jaw, his hands fisting the bedsheet. You know what he really means: âI'm useless now."
You want to reach out to touch him, maybe place your hand atop his, but you're not sure if he'd welcome such a gesture, especially from someone he's only known for a short time. You settle for a few sympathetic words instead, folding your hands in your lap.Â
"Aizawa-san, do you honestly think your quirk is the only thing that makes you a hero? You've done so much for your students, for so many people. You're a mentor and a role model to these kids. I'm sure they trust and look up to you more because of this, not less.â
He looks at you for a long moment, that same unreadable expression on his face.
"I appreciate that, but it doesnât change the fact that I canât protect them the way I used to."
"Maybe not, but even without your quirk, you have your experience, your wisdom, and a heart that cares deeply for them. That's more than enough."
Instead of responding, he stares silently up at the ceiling. You don't push him, resigning to let the moment simply stretch out. After all, this is the most you've ever talked to him the whole week.
As he gets lost in his thoughts, you find yourself mentally tracing the contours of his face, where the sunlight bathes his skin in a soft, warm glow. It accentuates the strong lines of his jaw, his nose. Softens the look in his dark eyes.Â
You take a quiet breath, surprised by the fluttering sensation in your chest. It's an odd time and place to notice something like this, but you canât deny there's a certain rugged handsomeness to him.
You shift your weight, feeling a little self-conscious about your own thoughts. Itâs unprofessional, you chide yourself, to think of a patient this way. But the inexplicable attraction you feel for the man before you is unmistakeable.
Aizawa turns slightly, catching you off guard as his eyes meet yours. When he finally speaks again, his voice is softer, almost contemplative.Â
âIt's strange. There was a time in my life when I wouldn't have cared what happened to me in the line of duty, whether I lived or died. But now...I want to live for those kids. My kids.â
You manage a wobbly smile even as your heart aches at his words. "Your students are lucky to have someone who cares about them so much."
âYou remind me of them a little bit.â He lets out a low chuckle, the sound rumbling softly in the quiet room. âDetermined, stubborn, always insisting on helping.â
âIs that a good thing or a bad thing?â You ask, tilting your head to the side.
The corner of his lips quirk up, and the realization that he might actually be teasing you sends your heart aflutter.Â
âMostly good,â he murmurs. âA little bit troublesome for me though.â
âYeah?â You bite back a smirk. âYouâve been a bit troublesome for me, too, you know.â
He raises an eyebrow, leaning back against the pillows. âIs that so? And how do you propose I make it up to you, then?â
Maybe itâs the huskiness of his voice, the quiet intensity of his gaze, or the faint smile tugging at his lips, but something about him in this moment makes your stomach freefall. And youâre suddenly overcome with the urge to kiss him, passionately and spontaneously, as if afraid to see sense.Â
You know you shouldn't indulge this, should put a stop to this train of thought before it gains too much momentum. Youâre thankful you manage to keep your voice steady despite the rush of blood pounding in your ears.Â
âWell, Aizawa-san, you could start by taking me out to dinner. Dealing with a patient as stubborn as you has its price, you know.â
He doesnât say anything for a moment, and you wonder if youâve made a terrible mistake. But then his gaze flickers down to your lips before meeting your eyes again, and you feel your breath hitch. He tilts his head, his expression thoughtful yet guarded, as if trying to read between the lines of your playfulness.
âI suppose,â he concedes softly. âBut you might find that Iâm not as interesting as you think, Y/N. Iâm just a man who cares about the people in his life and does what he can to protect them.â
"That's exactly what I like about you.â Your voice drops to a whisper, your hand lightly brushing against his.
He groans softly, and you feel a blush rise to your cheeks at the sound. He rubs his hand down his face, seemingly weighing his options.Â
Itâs not too late, you assure yourself in a rush of anxious thoughts. You havenât crossed any lines you canât go back on, havenât overstepped the delicate boundary between patient and nurse, between flirtation and something more.Â
âWill you let me kiss you at the end of the date?â
Oh.
The line is a dot now.
You swallow hard and â heart pounding in your chest, everything else spinning dizzyingly out of focus â you rush forward to close the distance between you, pressing your lips urgently against his.Â
The spark you felt before intensifies into an electrifying current now, racing down your spine as he tangles one hand in your hair and another holds you by the nape. He tilts your head back to kiss you deeper, his lips hungrily exploring yours, and you feel drunk on the pleasure of his touch, the intoxicating scent of his skin and his aftershave.
The softness of his lips contrasts with the roughness of his stubble, sending shivers of delight coursing through you. His mouth is warm and inviting, and you lose yourself in the sensation of his kiss, the way he breathes you in, the quiet sighs of pleasure that escape both of you.Â
Your mind spins with the realization of how much youâve wanted this and how many ill-advised daydreams youâve had of him these past few weeks. When you finally break apart for air, you keep your forehead pressed against his, feeling the warmth of his skin against yours. The sound of your blood rushing in your ears drowns out the rhythmic beeping of the machines around you, and for a moment, the world feels narrowed down to just the two of you.
âI-Iâm sorry,â Your breath comes in ragged gasps. Your fingers gingerly touch your lips, which are pursed in surprise. âThat was reckless of me. I shouldnât have.â
Aizawa blinks at you, his dark eyes wide and dazed, like heâs trying to process what just happened. He licks his lips, a gesture that sends a fresh wave of warmth through your body.
âDo youâŠâ His voice is husky, tinged with uncertainty. âDo you regret it?â
âNo, of course not,â you say quickly, shaking your head. âI only regret not doing it at a better time.â
His eyes widen slightly in surprise before softening, the tension in his shoulders seemingly melting away.Â
"Good," he murmurs, reaching for you, his thumb cradling your jaw and tracing small, soothing circles on your skin. âBecause Iâd like to do it againââ
He presses a soft, lingering kiss to your cheek.
âAnd againââ
He brushes his lips teasingly against yours, feather-light and promising of more.
âAnd again.â
The admission sends a thrill through you, a rush of joy and excitement that makes your pulse quicken. "All the more reason to look forward to dinner, I suppose. After you get better, that is."
He chuckles softly. "Shouldn't be a problem, seeing as how I have an excellent nurse taking care of me."
"Mmmhm. Speaking of, is there anything else I can do to make youâŠmore comfortable before I leave?â You can't help but ask, a playful lilt in your voice.
He captures your lips in a delicate kiss, so sweet and tender, like a dream barely skimming the surface of reality. You've finally calmed down enough to hear the sound of his heart rising, betrayed by the loudening beep of the machine. His hand trails down your arm and he laces his fingers with yours, smiling against your lips.Â
âI can think of a few things.â

authors note! IM SORRY FOR BEING MIA college was kicking my ass (still is) and iâm trying my hardest not to crash out but here is an angsty fic :D
this is also heavily inspired by she wouldnât be gone by blake shelton IK IK country music sue me it is unfortunately part of my roots so yes here she is
âiâm sick of this caitlin!â
you two had been going back and forth for a while about this, both too stubborn to admit who was in the right and who was in the wrong.
itâd been two months since caitlin went first pick in the wnba draft. two months of caitlin continuously forgetting about your date nights, two months of caitlin lagging hours on end and then eventually responding to your messages with one word replies, two months of wondering if caitlin would be home from practice at a decent hour or if youâd go to sleep in a cold, empty bed.
two. fucking. months.
of course, you understood the fact that caitlinâs job required almost all of her undivided attention and you were extremely proud of her and all her accomplishments.
but being second priority to her job was taking a toll on your mental health.
you were tired of being alone all the time. the sacrifices you made, picking up everything and moving to indiana with caitlin to be with her, felt pretty fruitless when you had barely seen her in your own apartment.
caitlinâs response came low at first as she rubbed her temples, âwhat do you want me to do?â and then she repeated it louder, throwing her arms up in frustration, âwhat do you want me to do?!â
âi want you to be here! youâre never here anymore, caitlin! iâm alone ALL THE TIME now!â
âthatâs not fair. iâm doing this for us! forâ for you!â
you shook your head, pointing an accusatory finger at her. âno. no. not for me. this is what you wanted! you wanted this! i didnâtââ
âi didnât ask you to move to indiana with me!â
the statement felt like a slap to the face. caitlin, of all people, knew how hard of a decision it was to move to indiana. to be away from your family. your sister, your parents.
caitlin never pressured you into it, of course. she was insistent that if you had decided to stay in iowa, youâd make long distance work. but when you ultimately decided to stay with, whom you thought was the love of your life, caitlin couldnât of been more happier.
the two of your popped a bottle of champagne in celebration and spent the night talking, laughing, planning your futures together.
a bittersweet memory that seemed so distant at the moment.
as you narrowed your eyes, you felt a tear roll down your cheek, followed by three or two more. âyou know what, caitlin? youâre right. you didnât ask. but it was a sacrifice i was willing to make for you!â
âyouâre not the only one making sacrificesââ
the mere start of the sentence had you letting out a laugh, putting your hands behind your head as you paced back and forth. âyouâre not listening.â
âi am listeningââ
âno! youâre hearing me but youâre not listening to me!â
silence fell upon the two of you, both contemplating your next words because you both knew you guys were pretty close to crossing lines that couldnât be uncrossed.
you placed your hands on the counter, leaning on it while hanging your head low, letting the tears drop onto the floor. âi canât do this anymore,â you finally let out in a small whisper, but it hit caitlin in the gut. âi donât want a life where i spend more time waiting for you than being with you.â
âyou donât mean that. please baby, stop.â caitlinâs warm hands were suddenly around your waist, leaning her head on your shoulder and kissing softly. âletâs just go to bed, yeah? i promise, i promise things will be different, okay? iâll make more of an effort. iâll try and get home on time for dinner. i know things arenât easy right now, but i canât lose you. weâll figure it out, iâllâ iâll try harder. okay?â
but even when those words eased your mind a little, you both knew the promise wouldnât be kept.
so it wasnât really a shock to you when you sat at the dinner table, candles lit and your meal sitting in front of you with the empty chair across from you.
you cooked caitlinâs favorite meal, wore her favorite set underneath your clothes that was her favorite color. you looked at the clock, and when it read 10:30, you scoffed.
you were fed up. you were well over your boiling point.
and, so, when caitlin entered your guysâ apartment at midnight, her heart ached a little at the sight of your untouched meals at the table, and candle she assumed was lit at one point.
she rubbed a hand over her face, quickly walking to your shared room. then she froze in her spot.
your side of the room was empty. from your nightstand being stripped of its decorations, to your side of the closet being completely empty.
the suitcases you used for when you guys planned vacations were gone. along her your toothbrush, makeup, hair products, basically everything that made your shared apartment shared was gone.
caitlin wasted no time picking up her phone and clicking your contact, holding the phone to her ear. she anxiously waited, suddenly feeling as if her whole life was falling apart.
voicemail. she tried seven more times. all went straight to voicemail.
her mind immediately went straight to denial, there was no way you picked up and left, right? you always said you would, but caitlin never believed you. never truly believed you.
or maybe she just didnât listen to you.
she snatched her keys from the table, leaving the apartment and shutting the door loudly behind her. she bet all her money that her neighbors hated her.
thatâs how she ended up in her car, speeding down the highway on a rainy night, frantically calling all of your shared friends.
she started with your mom, driving down the road at 90 miles an hour and switching lanes like an absolute maniac. sheâd gotten honked at at least four times already.
âcaitlin.â your mom greeted, though judging by her cold and and distant tone, and her use of caitlinâs full name instead of cait, caitlin could tell the news had no doubt got back to her.
âdo you know where she is, mrs. l/n?â her question came right off the bat, figuring she had no time to waste in finding you.
your momâs answer was quiet. and caitlin learned your families habits quickly enough to know that when she went quiet, she was lying. âpleaseââ
âiâm afraid i canât speak with you now, goodbye caitlin.â
then the line went dead.
with her left hand on the steering wheel, she punched the middle with her right and threw her head back.
her next call was kate because you three all had been very close throughout your iowa college years. kate always understood you in a way that made caitlin jealous.
and for a while, she she was a topic of argument in your relationship because caitlin constantly needed reassurance that she was the one you wanted.
there was clearly a rift in caitlin and kateâs friendship after, but after the move to indiana, they seemed to be mending their friendship. until now.
kate answered on the first ring with a hard question. âwhatâd you do, clark?â
âkate, iâ i fucked up. sheâs gone. i donât know where she went. her stuffâs gone, her clothes are gone, sheâs gone.â
âdamn it, caitlin. you always do this shitâ you drove her away, again.â
âdo you know where she is?â caitlin demanded, arriving to her first destination.
âno.â
âyouâre lying.â
âno iâm notââ
âi shouldâve figured you wouldnât help me find her. youâve always been pathetically in love with her, ever since college.â caitlin scoffed out bitterly.
âcaitlinââ
âknow what? no. youâve always been on her side, since day one. i canât even do this right nowââ
âyouâre frustrated with yourself, about driving y/n away, so your picking a fight with me.â kate spoke calmly, fueling caitlinâs anger.
âdonât fucking psycho analyze me, right now martin.â with that she abruptly ended the call, getting out of the car and walking into the ice cream shop the both of you loved dearly.
after that, she went to your favorite coffee shop, after that, nalyssaâs apartment, then aliyahâs, then the hotel near your apartment.
she held her face in her hands, finally letting the sobs ripple through her. she suddenly realized how under appreciated your voice was. she was forgetting how sweet it was, how beautiful it was when you hummed her to sleep.
she was forgetting your voice already.
and she realized that she shouldâve fought harder. shouldâve told you how much she loved you, cherished you, needed you.
maybe, just maybe, if she had done that, you wouldnât be gone.
safe to say caitlin didnât find you that night, and no one told her where you mightâve went.

Girl pls pls write stripper reader and Spencer where she thinks he would never date her bc sheâs a stripper and just a sprinkle of angst with lots of comforting fluff and Spencer reassuring
thank u for requesting! ⥠fem, 1.5k
cw mentioned past domestic/workplace abuse, unhealthy eating habits
Someone broke into my apartment. 9:14AM
Spencer reads the message under the table but forgoes discretion when he registers what it says and who it's from. He excuses himself from the round table, something he isn't even sure he's allowed to do, and hurries out onto the landing.Â
You answer on the second dial. "Hey, did you see my text?" you ask.Â
"Are you okay?" He squeezes his phone.Â
"I'm not sure. I'm fine, but my lock is busted and the door won't stay shut."Â
"Where are you?"Â
If you're surprised that he's steamrolling, you don't show it. Spencer leaves work to meet you at the coffee shop you've chosen for refuge, your eyes tired, a small bag of your most important possessions hanging on a slumped shoulder. He hugs you straight away.Â
"I'm fine," you say into his neck.Â
He hugs you tighter. "That's good," he says, feeling useless, fingers stroking little paths into your shoulders. He pictured the worst from your text, and seeing you in person is the only true mitigator. You'll talk down bruises and black eyes âyou have in the past.Â
He pulls the story from you as you walk back to his apartment, shoulder to shoulder in the cold street. "It was open when I got home, the door, but I did what you asked me to."Â
"You didn't go in?" he confirms proudly.Â
"Not at first."Â
"You really won't call the police?"Â
"I texted you."Â
Spencer takes the strap of your bag from you and throws it over his own. "I'm not that kind of cop. I'm not really a cop at all."Â
"No, you're a fed, which is worse. The girls at work told me to stay away from you." You wipe under your eyes sluggishly. Sleep clings to you like a shadow trailing behind you, ever-present.Â
He puts his hand behind your back, worried you'll fall up the steps to his apartment building. "They think I'll what, extort you?"Â
You shake your head, something sad in the slow side to side. "Girls like me have no business around guys like you."Â
"You probably get too much business from guys like me."Â
You laugh, but you both know it's not what you meant. Spencers noticed it more and more lately, nothing so obvious until now, this dead set belief you hold that he's one type of person and you're another. He gets that your work isn't what you wanted for yourself when you were growing up. He knows it isn't easy, even on your 'good' nights. It takes a toll to be seen as you are, nothing left private. But you've always said you liked stripping as much as anyone should like their job. "It's a job," you'd said, having barely known him, tired and hungry, curled up on his couch with nowhere else to go. "Only the luckiest get to really enjoy work. S'why it's called work."Â
He'd hoped, perhaps in a self-absorbed way, that having more support might make you feel better about yourself; he wanted his friendship to give you some confidence, basically. Before you met Spencer there was no one else you could depend on. It's why you stayed working for a man who broke your wrist until Spencer weaselled his way into your life and made you a bed in his living room for the time it took to get you out. His credentials helped, of course, but you survived it because you're resilient. You're awesome. You've done everything you can with what you have and you don't think it's enough.Â
You and Spencer take the elevator to his floor, and for the twenty seconds it takes to get there, you let your cheek rest on his shoulder. He's just about to drop his head on top of yours when the doors open, and the slice of quiet you'd both savoured slips like sand between his fingers.Â
"I can go back and get some of your stuff," he offers, guiding you the short walk to his door. He passes you the key rather than struggle with the lock himself.Â
Your hand shakes as you push down the handle. "There's nothing worth going back for."Â
"Don't say that, you have all your clothes there, your couch. You have things. I'll take my car."Â
"You hate driving."Â
"I'd hate someone robbing you even more."Â
"Robbing me again," you correct, holding the door for him.Â
You didn't have anything worth the trouble, it seems. You keep your savings in a locked box hidden in the bathroom that they couldn't find, and though your apartment is clean and bigger than the one you lived in before Spencer met you, it's mostly empty. You don't have a TV, you're not a collector. They took the radio off of the refrigerator, your microwave oven, and a box of cosmetic jewellery worth chapel change.Â
"But it's your stuff. You deserve to have stuff." Spencer drops your bag gently and his with less care by the door.Â
"It's only until the locksmith can come tomorrow," you say with a yawn. "Let the junkies lavish in my stuff for the next twenty hours."Â
"That's not a problem for you?"Â
"I don't have the luxury of that being a problem for me, Spence. What am I supposed to do? The locksmith can't comeâ"Â
"There are a hundred locksmiths."Â
"Not that I can afford." You shrug out of your jacket. "Spence, listen to me. It's okay. I can't ask you to do that, anyways. You've done more than enough for me already," you say, sitting on the couch. You perch for a moment like you're trying to be polite until fatigue overtakes you, and you sink into the cushions with a relieved sigh.Â
Spencer crosses the space between you and kneels by your feet to untie your shoelaces.Â
"Don't do that," you mumble, hand over your mouth as a second yawn in as many minutes catches you.Â
"Why not?" He slips your shoes off, letting his hand rest on your ankle. "Wanna watch that weird cooking showâ"Â
"Why aren't you at work?"Â
He climbs onto the couch next to you, unafraid to sit shoulder to shoulder. "You were having an emergency."Â
You rub your face with both hand. "I knew I shouldn't have called you. You can't just leave work because of me, Spencer, what if you get in trouble?"Â
"Someone I care about needed my help, and Hotch understands that." Spencer puts on his big boy pants with a wince. "Do you get that?"Â
"I don't really⊠I don'tâŠ" You falter. "We're never going to work. You'll neverâŠ"Â
"I'll never what?" he asks insistently, voice lilting up with a little incredulity. He can't help it.
You refuse to answer, turning your face from his.Â
Spencer knows what you're going to say. He's bad with girls but he's good at recognising human emotion; he sees the same insecurity in himself as he does in you. He knows the feeling.Â
You're not right, is the thing.Â
Spencer would kiss you if he thought that would change your mind. But tired as you are, angry with yourself, defeated, he knows it's not a good idea. He takes your hand instead, sewing your fingers together with a deliberate slowness. He brings his other hand to them and strokes the back of your index finger with his thumb, careful not to disrupt your press on nails. He knows they have a tendency to come off with too much pressure, and you're always losing your glue.Â
"If they really need me to go, they'll call me. But I'm staying here." His thumb moves down to your knuckle. You have little calluses and cuts and bruises everywhere from dancing. He's seen the contusions that line your thighs on a semi permanent basis. "When was the last time you had something to eat?"
"Spencer," you murmur.Â
"Let me take care of you, please," he says, hand curling around your wrist with extreme gentleness. "You need to eat. You need to sleep. Let me worry about everything else for once, I want to."Â
You still don't look at him, but you sink down an inch at a time until your cheek is on his shoulder again, like it had been in the elevator. Hesitant, you wrap your arm around his stomach.Â
"I'm so stupid," you say.Â
He wonders if that's a placeholder for what you really want to say. You think so little of yourself sometimes, but it's like you've told him before. Not everyone has the luxury of enjoying their job.Â
"You're amazing." Spencer feels like he's on fire everywhere that your skin touches him. Is he saying the right things? "You are. You're the only person who doesn't see that."Â
"The only person here, maybe."Â
"You should always be here, then. With me. That way I can remind you."Â
You sound more like yourself when you answer, though tiredness lines every word, "Thank you, Spencer. I don't deserve you."Â
"Yes, you do."
Spencer rubs your hand until you fall asleep, and then he buys you a new toaster oven on his phone, and an industrial security lock. He doesn't know what it'll take to convince you that you deserve him, you deserve better, but he's gonna try.Â
He presses his cheek to your temple and focuses on the softness of your skin where it touches his. Â

My heart hurts so bad for Aziraphale because I can honestly just relate to him so, so, so much.
(not putting this one under a cut so warning season 2 ahead, I'll tag it at the bottom too)
Aziraphale says, "Nothing lasts forever," but I don't believe for a second he doesn't wish that it did.
He WANTS things to go back to how they used to be. He WANTS the seraphic Crowley squealing with joy as he cranks up the universal machine and sets the stars aflame. He WANTS there to be no sides, he WANTS to believe in the idea of the host united, he WANTS to go back before Crowley got himself in trouble by asking questions. He wants, I think, to be in that moment of creation and adoration forever.
Change seems to frighten him. There's an aspect of uncertainty. There's an element of chaos, the loss of control. I understand this deeply. And what the Metatron offered him was just that: certainty, control, the ability to dictate his own narrative.
I used to be in a toxic job. On top of it, I had intense anxiety and other undiagnosed neurodivergencies that made it even harder to fit in and understand the untold rules I was supposed to follow to get along. When I first got there, it wasn't so bad -- perhaps I was, like Aziraphale, also a bit idealistic. Then there were some changes that brought instability, significant more anxiety, and a lot of nights spent agonizing over my lack of control over it all.
My friends and significant other tried to convince me to leave, but I didn't want to. I didn't know what else was out there. I didn't know if it would be worse. I didn't know what kind of stability it would have.
Then my manager left, so that spot opened up. I had worked there for a long time, and honestly, I never saw myself going into management. I didn't think I could. I wasn't sure I even wanted to. All of that extra stress, on me? Not to mention, getting FURTHER into the job that was taking a massive toll on me? But then...
Then I would have control. Then I could run things the way *I* had always thought they should run. I wouldn't need to worry about who would replace my manager and whether my life would be a living hell -- I would make it what I wanted it to be. Upper management was really pushing for it, so I applied.
To make a long story short: I don't think it went very well. I didn't have the support I needed. I didn't have the emotional skills I needed. I think I did my best, but I'm not fond of those times. At the time, I was SURE that I wanted to move up even more, I was SURE this would make it all better. I thought this was what I REALLY wanted.
But that's not what I needed. What I needed was to get out, and eventually I did. Even as ready as I was to leave, it was absolutely agonizing. I could barely stand to handle the unknown. I was going to work together with my spouse, actually, and I was so excited for that, but I still... I still was upset and worried sick over the dramatic change that would befall my life, after I had made the decision to leave.
That's where I can relate to Aziraphale. I wonder what would've happened if, before I had actually left for good, the head honchos had come up to me and said, "We want to keep you -- how about we offer you (an even higher position)?" -- would I have said no, or would I have wanted to make a difference?
Funny, I said exactly that, too. That's almost why I didn't change jobs in the first place. I said, "But I feel like I'm really making a difference with what I'm doing now." But what pushed me over the edge was realizing that none of that mattered to them, it was all about THEIR control of ME, not the other way around.
I'm so intensely curious to see what happens with Aziraphale next, but I'm sure he will learn what Crowley understands: nothing lasts forever, and sometimes it's good that it doesn't -- even if sometimes we wish it did.

itadori yuuji is great with kids.
he has as much energy as them, so heâll run around with them constantly, which helps when you want to put them to bed early. heâll take part in any game or creative imagination the kid has conjured up.
a tea party? okay, heâll be the king. oh, heâs getting a call from elmo? he takes the the small toy phone into his hands and has a full on conversation with him. and lastly, he loves just picking them up into his arms and airplaning them around the house.
itâs why when you first saw him interact with kids, you couldnât help but almost tear up at the sight. itâs like him and the kid would match each others energy, bouncing off the walls together. and you didnât miss the way the kid would automatically smile and reach their grabby hands up for him as soon as you two entered.
and when you looked at yuuji, you just knew, he would be a perfect dad.
maybe you two were too young to even be thinking about that. kids thinking about having kids is crazy. but you didnât want kids now of course, but when you were older. you guys kinda had your future planned out for each other. you can call it cute, wholesome, or optimistic. but either way, you knew you wanted to spend your life with itadori yuuji.
but can people really blame you? living in a world full of curses and being a sorcerer meant that any moment could be your last, every breath could be your last, and every smile could be your last.
thatâs why whenever you and yuuji were together, youâd spend it like it was your last.
you were already head over heels for him, but seeing him be so playfulâŠso innocent with not just kids, but with you, it struck a chord in your heart in a repetitive thrum. and you found yourself constantly wanting that same melody to played.
you guys were kids, but with what you did for a living, you were forced to act anything but. which is why you loved these kind of moments. the moments where you can do simple teenager things, you know, actually act your age.
the mental and physical toll of being a sorcerer was hard on you both, especially yuuji. and it was your job to hold him up whenever he fell down.
âboy or girl?â
he looks up from his milkshake, eyes landing in your own as you sit across from him. the comforting diner offering a sense of peacefulness. he mulls over your words before answering. âeither.â
an eye roll. âno, pick. if you had to choose one, boy or girl?â
âand what is the context of this situation?â his head tilts in that adorable way you love, pink hair ruffled after he runs a hand through it.
âchildren.â you say.
he stills for a moment, eyes just locked with yours. the silence is deafening, but not tense. itâs like heâs trying to decide if youâre being serious or not. because in all honesty, he had no idea you wanted kids. which is a little ironic since you talked about your future all the time, and kids just found themselves drawn towards him whenever you guys hung out with your side of the family. but, for some reason, having kids of his own one day felt odd, felt strange.
his lips purse and eyes travel to the ceiling. âi guess, if i had to pick, maybeâŠ.a girl?â
your head tilts. ânot a boy?â
âwell, i wouldnât care. i would love them equally.â
âbut you want a girl.â
âiâd want anything, as long as i get to have it with you.â he looks at you again, dopey smile on his face. âif it was a girl, iâd have two precious girls in my life. if it was a boy, iâd have a little warrior.â
you smile back. âthe girl canât be a warrior too?â
âsheâll be my precious warrior.â he says, hand reaching across the table to find yours, fingers interlacing like its second nature. âjust like you.â
and god does he always know what to say to get your cheeks red, embarrassed. âand what if i want a boy?â
his thumbs rubs across the back of your palm, sliding the milkshake over to you, to which you sip from. âthen weâll have both.â
âhow can you be sure weâll have both?â
âiâm not, but anything is possible with you.â
your eyebrow raises playfully. âyouâre really sweet today, huh?â
his eyes roll and he scoffs. âbaby please, iâm always sweet.â
and well, heâs right. heâs always sweet, always thoughtful, always perfect when it came to you. you loved him so much, it felt like you couldnât ever love anything more than him.
but years later, that all changes when you two first see the sonograms. how can you love something youâve never even seen, touched, felt? but thatâs what a parental love is all about, isnât it?
you instantly feel protective, like you want to shield them from the cruelness of this world. like youâll do anything for them, includingâŠ.dying. however sometimes, you canât protect them.
itadoriâs world stops, shatters and crumbles as he hears the news. he doesnât even feel his legs moving but suddenly, heâs no longer in the comfort of your guysâ home, but in the hospital. the nurses and security are nothing compared to his strength, the strength of a father, and the strength of a husband.
itâs almost insulting, or comical. after everything you two have been through, one would think a sorcerer would die from fighting a curse, not from a drunk driver.
burying people has never been a foreign concept to him. but you know what is?
burying three people all in one casket. his wife and unborn twins. a boy and a girl.

It'll be okay.
Pairings: Emily Prentiss x reader.
Warnings: Mentions of COVID.
Summary: Emily Prentiss was known to always taking care of her team, taking full responsibility of everything, taking the blame, making sure they were okay, etc. But, it was true that she never let anyone know the hard time she was having, that was until y/n entered her life.
A/n: This was requested by anon, and gotta say I dunno if this is even good but I wrote what I felt was right. Itâs angst with comfort and fluffđ I added some backstory cause why nooooot? I mostly based this on the first episode, and maybe after the season ends, I'll do a better one, but I believe this was good enough for now haha. Our baby really does need some comfort and a goddamn breakđ„č I also did not proof read this, I never do until it's too late haha, so my apologies. Hope you guys enjoy this, leave comments, hearts, whatever you like and reblog so this gets some loveđ«¶đ»
*not my gif*
COVID had definitely taken a toll on the BAU, not only had the world stopped but a lot of things had happened then. People died, people left, the world entirely changed, and there was no stopping, no one could actually stop it. Emily Prentiss had tried to make it work, to make things a little easier as she tried to focus on her job every single day, drowning in paperwork, zoom meetings, not being able to freely do what they were so used on doing, it had been a hard year. Not only that, but the fact that her breakup had been so messy, but that was the least of all the other things she was going through. Emily thought it couldnât have gone worse, but then y/n was very present in her life. It was funny the day where it all had gone down.
It was the end of the most painful and difficult year, 2021 was about to arrive, just a week for the so awaited new year. And it so happened that on Christmas day, Emily had gotten COVID. She was in complete denial of being sick, more so because she needed to work, and she also had nothing to help her with the undeniable symptoms; the unbearable headache and body ache, the obvious fever, the terrible cold that her body felt, the stupid and annoying coughing and the stupid stuffed nose. Yes, there was no denial she was sick, but of course she wouldnât admit how bad it was. But that didnât stop y/n from going into action and deciding to go to Emily. Emily had been on the phone with her a few hours earlier, and when y/n noticed how bad this had gotten, she couldnât stop herself from getting everything she needed and off to Emilyâs house she was.
âWhatâŠon earth are you doing h-here.â Emily was interrupted with a cough, her hand soon landing on her chest as she felt the horrible pain as she coughed.
âIâm here to take care of you. Go to the living room, need to keep our distance.â Y/n said softly as she adjusted her face mask, getting a bottle of spray out.
Emily furrowed her brows but went ahead to the living room, soon enough grabbing a face mask and turning back to look at y/n. âIâm fine, you donât have to stay here.â
âOh, but I do. Weâre close to get the vaccine, I cannot have you stopping at the hospital just because you were too stubborn to accept that youâre really sick.â Y/n sprayed the whole area where Emily had just been, and then turned to look at her with a raised brow. âOkay, hereâs what weâll do. You stay in your room, Iâll sleep on the couch, you can only use your room and bathroom. Iâll be bringing you food and medication, already talked to a doctor. If we donât see any progress, weâll have to go to the hospital, which I hope, youâll cooperate, Prentiss.â
Emily just stared at her, a bit surprised on how y/n had become so bossy, but she also couldnât blame her, knowing perfectly well that sheâd probably die on her own. âGot it. I will.â
Y/n nodded. âGood, now Iâll go disinfect your room first. You stay here while I do that, no touching anything anymore. Though, I will clean here too.â
Emily couldnât help the small smile that spread through her face as she nodded, thankful that the face mask was covering it. âGot it boss.â
Y/n grinned softly as she nodded. âGood, Iâll be right back. Bed stuff?â
âCloset, second drawer, and the blankets are on top.â
Emily would be lying if she said she wasnât happy to have y/n here. Ever since y/n joined the team, somehow, they had become inseparable, even if she tried to get her to work with the whole team, before she even thought about it, she was already saying that y/n would go with her, and of course, that didnât go unnoticed by Tara, JJ and Penelope, but they never mentioned anything, even more when Emily ended up with a boyfriend. That of course till this day, Emily thought so much about how she had forced herself to actually like someone just so she wouldnât feel so alone. But the one person she had actually wantedâŠhad been y/n. And now having her here, willing to take care of her even if she knew there was a risk that she could get sick, it was everything for Emily.
Emily slowly opened her eyes as she heard her door opening. She looked up and smiled softly as she noticed y/n walking in with a tray of food. âHey. Did I sleep a lot?â
Y/n looked at Emily and smiled, carefully putting the tray of food on the nightstand. âFor like an hour and a half. Itâs good that youâre sleeping.â She grabbed the thermometer and placed it on Emilyâs forehead. She sighed relieved and offered a small smile. âItâs coming down, finally.â
Emily smiled. âAnd the headache is not as bad.â
âNo, Prentiss. I will not leave, itâs good youâre getting better but no way Iâm leaving in the next few days.â Y/n raised her brow as she placed back the thermometer in its place.
âI was not going to say anything about that.â Emily chuckled softly. âJustâŠthank you.â She smiled softly as she sat on her bed.
Y/n nodded softly. âYou welcome.â She smiled as she looked at Emily. âSoâŠI ordered some groceries for tomorrow, weâll have our own Christmas celebration.â
Emilyâs heart stopped for a moment, her eyes widening. âOh myâŠtomorrow is Christmas! Y/n, you shouldnât be here. Iâm sure you have-â
âAh, stop.â Y/n grinned softly. âI have nothing to do, and I wouldnât want to spend my Christmas any differently. What better way to celebrate it than with a sick Emily Prentiss? Such a great gift.â She chuckled softly as she grabbed the tray and placed it on Emilyâs legs.
Emilyâs heart swelled as she stared at y/n, a small smile on her face. âIf you say so.â
âI do say so.â Y/n smiled softly. âEat that, Iâll bring your medication.â
Emily watched her leave and her smile widened even more. All these years, she had been taking care of herself, not letting anyone in because she knew how thatâd end up. She had never liked to be taken care of, but she loved to make sure that her loved ones were always good taken care of. So now, y/n doing all of thisâŠit made her realize that maybe, just maybeâŠshe did feel the same way.
********************
Emily groaned softly as she stretched, slowly opening her eyes to the sound of a groan and then a small whisper. As she looked up, rubbing the sleep away from her eyes, she furrowed her brows as she noticed y/n moving a small table and placing it in the middle of the door. She tilted her head in curiosity as a small, silly smile spread across her face. âWhat are you doing?â
Y/n looked up at Emily and smiled, her cheeks turning slightly red. âOh uhâŠmoving a table?â
âAndâŠleaving it right in the middle of the door?â Emily raised her brow.
âOkay donât laugh butâŠI thought this could be a way for us to have Christmas lunch together.â
Emilyâs face softened as she stared at her, her cheeks turning red and not for the fever. She grinned softly. âCharming.â
âI tend to be.â Y/n grinned softly. âGrab your chair and Iâll bring the food.â
Emily smiled softly and did just as she was told, grabbing the chair that was just might the closet and sitting down in front of the table. She smiled softly as y/n came back with a chair for herself and started brought Emily her plate already with food and her drink. They ate together and right after they talked about everything but work, laughing as they told old stories about themselves and even some stories with the team. Y/n was fascinated just listening to Emily talk, loving that she had chosen the idea of spending Christmas with her, and that Emily had allowed her to take care of her. As for Emily, even if she was tired, she was enjoying every moment she was spending with y/n. As she watched her talk, she kept wondering in her mind if she was right or she was wrong about her suspicions, smiling softly without even noticing.
Y/n furrowed her brows and tilted her head as she stared at Emily. âWhat?â She hugged a chuckle.
âWhat?â Emily snapped out of her trance. âOh! No, nothing. Iâm sorry.â
Y/n chuckled. âYou should get back to bed and sleep, Iâll clean up and wake you up for your pills.â
âWait!â Emily coughed, grabbing her glass of water, and taking a deep breath afterwards. âI uhâŠhave a question.â
âYes?â
Emily took a deep breath, feeling her body still pretty much aching and getting all warm. âWhy are you doing this?â
Y/n furrowed her brows again. âIâŠbecause I didnât want you to be alone, Em.â
âIs that the only reason?â Emily raised her brow, a small smile on her face.
Y/n tilted her head as she smiled shyly, looking down at her glass. âWellâŠI donât wanna get fired after what I have to say.â
âWhich is?â
âYouâre a profiler, Em. Isnât it obvious?â Y/n blushed slightly as she looked back at her. âIâŠcare a lot about you. Which meansâŠthat I like youâŠa lot.â She whispered softly as she nibbled on her lip.
Emily smiled softly as she nodded, tilting her head. âAnd youâre also a profiler, y/n. Isnât it obvious?â
Y/nâs eyes widened slightly as she stared at Emily. âWaitâŠare you serious?â
âIf I wasnât sick and this table wasnât in the middle of us, Iâd be kissing you right now.â Emily smirked softly.
Y/nâs lips parted slightly as she stared at Emily, a soft smile tugging at the corner of her lips. âIs the fever making you talk?â
Emily laughed softly, coughing afterwards, and placing her hand on her chest. âNo, noâŠIâmâŠIâm serious.â She smiled.
âWeâre gonna check back once youâre not sick.â Y/n grinned. âBut for nowâŠthis could be considered our first date.â
âAnd Iâd like to take you in a second dateâŠnext year.â Emily joking as she grinned.
Y/n rolled her eyes playfully. âYouâre so funny, Prentiss. But I accept.â She smiled softly.
Emily laughed softly as she nodded, feeling her heart beating faster as y/n kept staring at her with that beautiful smile on her face. After all, there was something good out of this pandemic.
********************
It wasnât new that y/n saw Emily drowning in work, not after all the changed that the BAU had over the years. Having JJ back had at least eased things, but Rossi losing his wife, not having Penelope around, a whole new case that fell into their lap, Bailey not helping at all, Emily was losing her mind. But once she had most of her team back, including Penelope, things didnât seem to be so badâŠuntil they were, again. Y/n always had her eyes on Emily, the entire time, they both had promised that their relationship wouldnât interfere with work, it wouldnât change the way they worked, and it also wouldnât stop them, meaning that things would stay just like they were before. Of course, the team was now aware of their relationship, and they were happy that at least, there was something to look forward to -Penelope joking that she was already planning the weddingâŠthey believed she was joking-.
But once the whole âGold Starâ started, y/n noticed how Emily just kept getting home late, trying to drown herself in work and compensate for what had happened. She had tried her best to be there for her and let Emily know that it had not been her fault, and that she had done what she and the team had thought was right. Emily tried to hide everything that she was feeling to not let y/n and the team figure out that she was having a hard time, but y/n knew better, she could now see through Emily, but she also knew not to push her. Even if it killed her to know that Emily was having a hard time.
âHey, so whereâs Emily? Thought sheâd be here.â JJ snapped y/n out of her trance, making her look up at her while JJ offered a small smile.
âOhâŠshe had uhâŠshe had something to do.â Y/n tried her best to smile but they knew better.
âWork, huh? She feelsâŠguilty about Bailey?â Tara asked as she turned to look at y/n.
Y/n sighed softly as she nodded. âI donât know what to do.â
âWe know Emily. Thereâs not much we can do if she doesnât want to talk.â Tara said softly as she placed her hand on y/nâs shoulder.
âBut Iâm her girlfriend. I meanâŠI should at leastâŠI donât know. Try harder?â Y/n shrugged. âI just want Emily to know that Iâm hereâŠâ
JJ sighed softly. âWell, Iâm sure she knows, sheâs justâŠtrying to deal with her stuff.â
Y/n nodded softly as she looked back at JJ, smiling softly. She felt her phone vibrating and got it out of her pocket, furrowing her brows as she saw Emilyâs text. Soon enough she was saying goodbye to everyone and then heading back to the office. It felt a little weird to be here so late, the whole office was silent and almost dark, Emilyâs office was the only one that had its light on. Y/n took a deep breath as she noticed Emily walking around her office and then stopping by the window. She wanted to support her in every possible way, but she was also afraid that Emily was overworking herself and that didnât sit right with her. She slowly walked to Emilyâs office and leaned against the doorframe, trying her best to smile as Emily turned to look at her.
âHey you.â Y/n smiled softly.
Emily offered a smile in return. âIâm sorry I made you leave Penelopeâs birthday.â
âI was going to anyway.â Y/n shrugged. âWhatâs going on?â
Emily sighed softly. âWe need to talk.â
Y/n felt her heart drop for a moment as she stared at Emily. She could only nod, not trusting her voice as she felt her body slightly trembling as she waited for Emily to say anything at all, but instead, she walked to y/n, grabbed her hand, and kissed it softly, offering a smile as she pulled y/n with her. Soon enough, they were on the ceiling, Emily had sat down and had pulled out a box of cigarettes, catching y/n off guard for a moment, but also keeping in mind how incredibly hot it was to see her smoke. Seriously, y/nâŠnot the time. She crossed her arms and listened to everything Emily had to say, and again, she felt helpless as she listened to Emily, wanting nothing more than to be able to fix all this with a snap of her finger and be able to take Emily anywhere so she could relax.
âWell, youâve been doing your homework.â Y/n teased as she walked closer to Emily and grabbed the cigarette putting it in her mouth before she returned it to Emily.
Emily scoffed. âWellâŠwe need to get to the end of this.â
Y/n nodded, sighing softly, and looked away for a moment. âSoâŠyou think heâs government trained or something?â
âHeâs definitely too proficient to be self-taught.â
âAnd thatâs why theyâre keeping it a secret.â Y/n tilted her head as she looked back at Emily. âI know that youâve been overprotective after what happenedâŠbut we need to let the team know about this. You know that working together, weâll get it done.â
Emily sighed softly as she nodded. âI know.â She nibbled on her lip for a moment as she looked at y/n. âBabyâŠI need you to promise me that whatever we do here, I need you to be safe. We see what he doesâŠwhat has happened so far. I cannotâŠâ her voice cracked for a moment, looking down at the floor as she put back the cigarette in her mouth.
Y/n sighed softly as she walked to Emily, positioning herself in between her legs and placing her hands on her cheeks, tilting her head up so their eyes locked. âI will promise you that if you promise me the same.â She smiled softly. âEm, I need you to take a break too. Youâve barely been home, youâve barely been sleeping. I will make the promise if you promise me youâll also take care of yourself.â
Emily took a deep breath, moving her free hand to y/nâs hips, offering a small smile. âAlright. I will.â
Y/n smiled softly as she leaned down to kiss Emilyâs forehead. âYouâre stubborn, Prentiss. If I donât take care of you, you wonât.â
âThatâs why I have you. Couldnât have it any other way.â Emily chuckled softly, leaning up slightly to kiss her lips while she put out the cigarette.
Y/n smiled against her lips. âI know I should be forbidding you from smoking butâŠdid you know you look extremely hot smoking?â
Emily chuckled softly as she wrapped her arms around her waist, pulling her closer. âNo but thank you.â She grinned.
Y/n rolled her eyes playfully and then leaned down to kiss her lips again. âLetâs go call Garcia.â
********************
Y/n could only stare at Emily while everyone else talking, giving their thoughts about the video they had just watched. she couldnât really concentrate on what they were even talking about, part of her was trying to comprehend everything, work with them, say anything at all, but her mind was entirely focused on Emily. The moment Rossi and Emily had walked into the office, she could tell that there was something wrong with Emily; the way she stared at them, the way she talked, her eyes seemedâŠlost. She tried to keep up with everything, every now and then feeling JJâs eyes on her, even Taraâs, but her eyes were only focused on Emily.
âEm?â Y/n asked softly as they all left the room, walking to Emily and taking her hand. âAre you alright?â
Emily looked back at her and furrowed her brows. âYes. Why are you asking?â
Y/n tilted her head slightly as she raised her brow. âThat was not nothing. What you and Rossi sawâŠand youâŠyou donât look okay.â
Emily shrugged. âItâs part of the job, isnât it?â
Y/n sighed softly. âEmily, I-â
âRight now, we need to focus on this case. We might have something important here. I know I promised, but we also promised we wouldnât change the way we work here. Right now, weâre at work, and we need to focus on that.â Emily said softly but firmly, not wanting to sound rude or harsh, but the way she looked at y/n, with stress and frustration, made y/nâs insides turn.
Y/n nodded softly as she let go of Emilyâs hand. âRight.â
Emily only nodded before she left, leaving y/n standing there, not knowing what to do or say. She knew working together wouldnât be the easiest thing ever, but she couldnât help it, and Emily couldnât blame her for worrying. Y/n had stayed behind with JJ at the office, she had tried to brush it off and focus on their main task. But again, once they came back, y/n noticed it again, she noticed the way Emily rubbed her temple and went straight to her office. She didnât say anything, she stayed with JJ as she let Emily have a minute. She was right, they had made it clear things wouldnât change, and so far, it had worked out, and she was not about to stress Emily more.
********************
Y/n closed the door behind her and sighed softly as she locked it, standing there staring at it as she took a deep breath before she turned to walk to their room. Emily was already sitting on the bed, taking off her shoes. Y/n said nothing, walking to the bed and also sitting down and doing the same as Emily. Silence surrounded them for a moment for a while, y/n knew it was stupid that Emilyâs words had hit her the way they did, but she couldnât help it, she knew that if it was the other way around, Emily wouldnât drop it until y/n accepted that Emily was right, but in this case, which was not even an option.
But then she heard a soft groan coming from Emily, and as she turned, she noticed Emilyâs head in her hands, and y/n was back to feeling worried. She stood up slowly and walked around the bed, kneeling right in front of Emily, and positioning herself in between her legs, her hands on top of Emilyâs as she leaned her head against Emilyâs.
âEmâŠâ Y/n whispered softly.
âIâm exhausted.â Emily breathed out, her voice cracking slightly. âI donât know whatâs going on, nothing seems right, everything seems to be against us, to be against me. Itâs like they want me to resign so badly, they wantâŠthey want the BAU to disappear. I donât know what they want from me, I cannot just drop this, not after everything weâve been through.â She said quietly as she felt her eyes getting teary, not being able to look up at y/n. âTheyâre making us get involved with a fucking serial killer. What has gotten into their minds?! What are they hiding?!â
Y/n wrapped her arms around her, only being able to hold Emily tightly as she started sobbing. Emily knew that she was overworking herself, that she was doing too much, she was obsessing too much, but there was no chance to back down, she couldnât just let it happen, she couldnât let them win. But she felt soâŠheavy. Everything hurt, her head felt like exploding, her chest felt heavy, she had felt the usual anxiety creep in her body, she felt worse than she had years ago. She sobbed quietly as she felt y/n tightening her embrace, Emily suddenly wrapping her arms around y/nâs neck, feeling bad for the weird position they were in, but needing y/n to hold her so badly, sheâd worry about the position later.
âI canât just drop this.â Emily whispered as she buried her face on y/nâs neck, tears streaming down her cheeks.
âI know. And we wonât drop it. Iâll be by your side.â Y/n whispered softly.
âIâm sorry Iâm so stubbornâŠâ
Y/n shook her head, smiling softly as she turned to kiss the side of her head. âBut youâre mine. You can be as stubborn as you want.â
Emily chuckled softly as she pulled away, looking into y/nâs eyes. âIâm sorry that Iâve been drowning myself in this case.â
Y/n sighed softly. âI donât blame you, Emily.â She rubbed Emilyâs back softly as she leaned in and kissed her forehead. âI just donât want you falling sick for so much stress. I donât want you to get stuck in this to the point where you canât notice that youâre putting everything and youâre putting yourself in danger.â She said softly as she looked into Emilyâs eyes. âIâm just worried about you.â
Emily nodded as she let out a shaky breath. âI know. I wonât keep anything else from you, I promise. AndâŠIâll come to you when itâs too much.â
Y/n nodded as she smiled. âEmâŠbaby, look at me.â She ran her fingers through her hair as Emily locked her eyes on hers. âIâm here for you, no matter what. The good and the bad, youâre not a burden to me, okay? I love you. And youâre not alone.â
Emilyâs eyes filled with tears as her face softened, her body slightly trembling as she finally gave up and let tiredness take over her. She took a deep shaky breath, nodding her head as more tears rolled down her cheeks. Y/n rapidly wrapped her into another tight hug, letting Emily bury her face on her neck and sob as much as she needed. They stayed like that for a while, y/n rubbing her back and whispering sweet nothings while Emily cried. It was becoming too much, and Emily knew this wasnât even the half of it and there was so much more to come, but for now, for now she had y/n, she was present in this moment. Y/n gave her the space to break and make her feel like she deserved to have this sort of moment even if they still made her feel weak, but she knew her lover would never judge her, not like she had been judged before. After a moment, she finally felt like she had gotten everything out, slowly moving back but resting her forehead against y/nâs, not wanting to be away.
âThank youâŠâ Emily whispered softly.
âWhy are you thanking me?â
âBecause you always take care of me even if you donât have to.â Emily smiled through her tears.
Y/n smiled softly pulling away just enough to wipe her tears and stroke her cheek. âAnd Iâll be here to do it over and over again. If I risked my life with COVID, why not now?â She grinned a little.
Emily rolled her eyes playfully. âWell, it kept you in my apartment for a whole month. Not my fault you were so eager to kiss me.â She teased back.
Y/n gasped softly. âIn my defense, you were supposed to be out of risk, and also, I couldnât help it when I had you right in front of me. We had become girlfriends, and I hadnât even kissed you yet.â
âThatâs true.â Emily chuckled softly as she leaned in and kissed her forehead. âAnd I got to take care of you.â
Y/n nodded. âWeâve got each otherâs back. You take care of me, and I take care of you.â She smiled softly.
Emily smiled and nodded softly. âYes.â She rested her forehead against y/nâs once again. âI love you.â
âAnd I love you.â Y/n smiled softly and sighed softly as she closed her eyes for a moment. After a while, she moved to kiss Emilyâs nose and offer another smile. âCâmon, letâs take a bath together. Iâll bring some wine and snacks.â
Emily smiled softly and nodded. âSounds like a plan.â
Y/n nodded before she got up, but as she was about to leave, Emily pulled her back to her, making her turn back to Emily who was now standing. âYes?â
Emily smiled softly as she shook her head. âNothing.â She placed her hand on y/nâs neck and brought their lips together into a tender kiss. âI love you.â She whispered softly against her lips.
Y/n giggled. âI love you too.â She whispered back and kissed her lips one more time before she walked out of the room.
Emily knew there was still a very long way, she had no idea what they were getting into, a lot of stress was coming their way, but she knew that as soon as she walked into their house, sheâd be able to leave that stress behind at least for a while. This little bubble they had created for themselves was everything to Emily, and what got her to keep going. And that was all she needed.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Sorry," the large man says as he approaches you "I got held up by this strange guy asking if I wanted to play cards or something on my way here... Hm? You haven't started interviewing our president yet, have you? Don't forget to lower the mic stand a bit."
You blink up at him in surprise, and suppress an eye roll. You can't help it, everything about him was giving... the same vibe you see in the old capital era movies, the frat boy types. Still, you respond cordially enough "Huh? Oh you mean the reporter lady from earlier? No she left already, I'm the new part timer." You say confidently, deciding you'll end this conversation quickly if you looked sufficiently assertive. The work site was plenty noisy too, surely he'll get annoyed from talking out here soon enough.
The man's hand was on its way to the back of his head, his eyes trained away from you before he halts and looks back "A new part timer? Who the hell hired you?"
"I hired myself." You say simply.
"Ha, you hired yourself? Really now? And who made you think you were qualified enough to work here?"
You don't bother giving your real reasons "The field of construction calls for me." Is what you say instead.
"Calls for you, huh?" To your surprise , the man takes your words seriously, and you notice a name tag that introduces him as Senior Staff and On Site Project Manager Anton Ivanov. Wow, what a mouthful, no wonder he seems to know who exactly does and doesn't work here.
"You look like a runt... Can you handle the job? Do you even know how to tell apart a Gauging trowel from a Margin trowel?"
You blink owlishly back at him, startled out of your thoughts "A what now?"
"Exactly my point! How about I test you, then? First, go get me a torque wrench."
"Ahaha" you laugh awkwardly "Uh yup! I totally know what that is!" Why is there no connection in this place? I need to Google this! You panic internally.
"Oh really? Well then go get one. It's right by the tool box in the west warehouse." He points at said building "I'll be waiting here."
You quickly turn away before he sees your expression descend into panic "Mhm, be right back boss man!"
"Hah, what's with that look?... Wait... Hey! Come back here!"
You ignore him and use your small frame to your advantage and easily weave through construction workers left and right, most of them admittedly much bigger than you. Still, you disappear into the crowd and easily loose anyone trying to stop you. Once you make it to the warehouse, you go ask someone on duty about the tool, and find a bear gentleman squinting at a clipboard.
"Excuse me sir." You interrupt politely "The project manager sent me to grab a tool for him, can you tell me where-" you pause. What did he call it again? You stare at the fellow in front of you as he stares back. Once it became apparent you weren't going to finish the sentence any time soon, he points at a collection of crates in one section of the warehouse
"I'm busy so help yourself kid." He says, then leaves before you can correct him about you not being a kid.
Welp.
You go look though the crates, hoping any of them would be marked or named, and while some of them are, most of those are in Russian.
You don't speak Russian.
You sigh, and decide nothing will get done if you keep standing here, so you grab a random heavy tool, and lug it back to Anton, who surprisingly did wait for you where he said he would.
"I'm back! Did you miss me?" You pant from the exertion, trying to hide the toll this is taking on you with jest "Is- is this it?"
Anton looks dumbfounded for a moment before speaking "...That's a welder's mask, kid. The kind bear Thirens use."
You look down "So that's what the glass part is for... Hey I'm not a kid! You're just way too tall!"
Anton smirks, amused with your response "You're not a kid, huh? Then how old are you, shorty?"
You look away. "Hmph. You should never ask a lady about her age! It's improper!" You dodge the question. You may be an adult, but there's a non zero chance that once you show him your ID he thinks you're presenting him with a fake one and kick you out immediately. You'd rather not give him the chance. "So how do I go about properly signing up to join Belobog Heavy Industries anyway?"
Anton chuckles, seemingly getting a kick out of this "Ha! It's funny that a shorty like you can call herself a lady. You're barely at half my height. Anyways, if you wanna work here, I'll have to assess your experience and qualifications first."
You are certainly not looking forward to that.
"... Isn't there someone else that can do that...? Maybe someone I don't have to crane my neck all the way up just to look at their face?" You sweat drop.
Anton laughs, thoroughly enjoying this situation "Nope, not a chance. You're stuck with me, shorty. Now, quit complaining and tell me what you can do with those tiny arms of yours."
You crouch down and grab a random rock, then stack a few more on top of it. Once done you stand back up and point at your creation. "Construction...?"
Anton raises an eyebrow, looking the most baffled you've seen him all day, and that's saying something. He stares at your attempt before he lets out a disbelieving laugh "Construction? You call that... whatever it is, construction? I'm not sure if I should be impressed, concerned, or just downright baffled."
You don't hesitate "Which one's more likely to get me hired?"
"Anton crosses his arms, looking you up and down as he seriously consideres your question. His earnestness is starting to get to you.
"Hm, I suppose I'd be impressed, because it takes a lot of audacity to call that thing construction. So I'm going to give you a chance."
He grins slightly.
"Spend the day around the site today but don't go past any yellow lines without permission. If you still want to join us afterwards, come find me and my bro at the end of the day at my office. We'll discuss your new position in the company then, shorty."
You can't help it, caught off guard by his genuine offer, you let out a huge, surprised smile, no sarcasm or barbs in sight "Wait really?!"
You can vaguely tell Anton is taken aback by your response, but he quickly covers it up with a smirk "Of course. It'd be fun to have someone so short around here to tease, it's not like I can mess with the president after all." He says jokingly.
At your resulting glare, he chuckles and ruffles your hair with his large hand.
For a second, you feel dumbfounded at the overly familiar act, but you quickly regain your composure and push his hand away "Sorry head pats are reserved for friendship level 8 or higher."
"Oh? 8 or higher, huh? That's a pretty high number. I guess I'll have to work my way up to earn the privelage then.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As the work day comes to a close, you make your way to Anton's office, directed by the scowling red head girl that often came to check on you throughout the day. She awkwardly waves off your genuine thanks.
I guess everyone here looks scary but is actually nice? You wonder.
"Hey there, shorty." Anton perks up from his slumped position as he sees you come in. You notice his desk and seat appear comically small when compared to his size, it doesn't help that the office room is rather cramped. "Did you have a fun day of "construction" today?"
You sigh "I tried to help, but everyone kept telling me I'd just get in the way." You say as you unceremoniously drop in a guest chair by his wooden desk "Please hurry up and give me an official position at the company."
Anton's smirk softens as he sees your dejected expression.
"Heh, I can see you really want to fit in here, huh? My bro and I really appreciate that kind of spirit. Alright, I'll do you a favor and give you an official position."
He seems to think for a moment before speaking "How about you become the company's official short stack? We do lack a mascot."
Your eye twitches involuntarily "My dude you are giving my fist an erection. Are you trying to get socked in the face?"
Anton doubles over his desk laughing, a full body laugh with his shoulders shaking and his mouth gasping for air. Well it was a very good line wasn't it? You inwardly give yourself a pat on the back for causing that reaction. Finally when the bursts of laughter subside and he can actually breathe again, the taller male leans down and gets close to your face with his signature smirk on.
"Ha! I'd like to see you try. Besides, you're too short to land a proper punch, anyway."
Anton's smirk fades into a more serious expression this time as he considers your question. He taps his chin in thought.
You deadpan. Bro cannot be acting all nonchalant after he almost went into cardiac arrest from your joke "Back on topic," you say impatiently "any real positions I can fill up?"
He looks you up and down for what feels like the millionth time this day, before speaking "If I'm being honest, the only jobs you could fit would probably be serving food at the cafeteria or maybe assisting in office work, hardly something that would feel like construction work."
"Hmm, let's see..."
You try not to pout "But just today I saw a girl shorter and definitely younger then me, she was working hands on and-"
"The president," Anton interrupts "has many years of experience, she also may not look it to your untrained eyes but she has a lot of practical muscles that make up for her size disadvantage."
You blanch That was the President?! I'd been calling her girlie-pop all day! I think I even called her pookie once?!
Suddenly, all the strange looks the staff were throwing you throughout the day made a lot more sense.
"That said..." Anton brings you back out of your thoughts "How about we start you off as an assistant? I'll have you work under me, and I'll show you the ropes around here, it would also count as a training period. If you prove yourself competent, I'll consider promoting you to an official position."
Your eyes gain a shine to them at the offer he went of his way to give, and you feel a bit remorseful at all the attitude you've been giving him "Wait, wouldn't that be troublesome for you?"
Anton shrugs lightly, that smirk returning to his face.
"Troublesome? Nah, I'd get a kick out of having a pipsqueak like you following me around. And who knows, maybe you can learn a thing or two from a professional like me." He says, pointing proudly at his chest.
You deadpan yet again. "I take back the good thoughts I started having of you, what was I thinking?" You tell him as you shake your head in mock despair.
Anton laughs at your blunt response, clearly enjoying the banter. "Ha! There's Shorty's short temper kicking in again. Come on, don't be so uptight . I'm just messin' with ya."
He grins widely, clearly finding this whole situation amusing. He then playfully ruffles your hair with his hand.
You push his hand away again "My head isn't for patting unless you're level 8 friendship I said!"
Anton laughs good naturedly, and obediently removes his hand.
"Ha! Still going on about that friendship level thing? Fine, I'll keep my hands to myself for now. But just know, I have plenty of other ways to bother you, Shorty."
"I've known you for only one day and yet I don't doubt that one bit."
Anton crosses his arms and leans against the nearby wall, looking down at you.
Still, you can't resist messing with him right back, so you get up and walk away "Nevermind I'll go see if the convenience store down the street is still hiring-"
"Oh, you have no idea. Stick around, shorty, and you'll see what I mean. You haven't experienced true torment yet." His voice has a teasing quality to it and you can tell he puts extra care in making that obvious to compensate for his naturally intimidating size and face.
Anton quickly scrambles off the wall and grabs your arm, halting your retreat "Oh no you don't. You're not getting out of this that easily." He smirks, as if he wasn't floundering less then a second ago. His grip on your arm is gentle yet unrelenting "You're stuck with me, Shorty. You already accepted the job as my assistant, remember? You can't back out now."
You sigh dramatically, and hear as Anton laughs at your theatrics. You then remember the two of you haven't properly introduced yourselves to each other yet "I guess I have to be a woman of my word." You say in mock reluctance as he lets go of your arm "It's a little late, but my name is Y/n by the way, L/n Y/n. What's yours?"
His smirk slowly fades into a genuine smile "Oh, we never did properly introduce ourselves, huh? Hah, guess we were so busy bickering we forgot about the formalities." He extends his hand for a handshake "Name's Anton Ivanov. Remember that, ok Shorty?"
You grasp his hand, his grip strong and sturdy "Like I said, my name's Y/n. Since we're on the more serious topics, is there a contract I need to sign or am I in a trial period for now?"
Anton shakes your hand gently before responding, seemingly very aware of how much bigger his hand is as it is engulfs yours. If you didn't know better you'd think he's nervous to accidentally hurt you. "Yeah trial period's a fitting name, and no contract signings just yet. We'll see how you do working under me before we worry about paperwork. So, Shorty, are you ready to get started as my assistant?"
"How early does the work day start here?" You ask, forcefully dragging your eyes away after they started staring at his chest a bit too long. You can't help it tho! It's more comfortable for your neck to stare at that region!
Anton scratches his chin thoughtfully, considering your question and blissfully unaware of your internal turmoil.
"Hmm, work usually starts around 6 in the morning. We like to get an early start here at Belobog. Why do you ask?"
You gulp "Wow, bright and early with the sunrise huh?"
Anton valiantly tries to suppress a chuckle at your reaction. He fails, but you suppose it's the effort that counts.
"Yep, bright and early. We don't like to waste time around here. And hey, don't worry about adjusting to the early hours, you'll get used to it soon enough, shorty."
"I sure hope so." You sweat drop, then your eyes drift to the arm sized device strapped to his arm. "Is that the main tool you use?" You motion with your chin towards the machine he still has strapped to his arm despite the work day being already over.
Anton follows your gaze, and he brightens considerably at your question. "This is my bro, it's a pile driver." He says seriously, and it doesn't take long to realize he's not joking.
He grins, looking down at his arm-mounted weapon affectionately "My bro and I go way back, and it got my back in both work and combat." He says proudly.
"I guess you could say it is, in a way, like family. It's been with me through a lot."
He pats the pile driver, a fond look in his eyes.
Your eyes soften "Well, can't wait to see you and your bro in action once I officially start!" You exclaim, mentally cataloguing the pile driver as Anton's Emotional Support Companion in you head.
"So, I hear Belobog Industries has dorms for all staff members, are newbies like me included or do I need to find my own lodgings around here?" You change the subject, because while you didn't mind hearing more about Anton and getting to know him better, you did still have an objectif in coming here "I wanna know if I'll need to make moving arrangement soon."
Anton's grin widens at your enthusiasm and what he reads as genuine interest in the company.
"Ha! That eager to get in on the action, huh?" he guesses "You're going to fit right in here."
He pats your head lightly, and you're starting to understand it's meant to be a playful gesture rather than a condescending or even teasing one.
"And don't worry about lodging. We provide dorms for all staff members, including newbies like you. You don't need to worry about finding a place to stay."
"Well that's convenient," you say as you bat his arm away, almost by reflex now "I guess I better go get my stuff sorted by tomorrow then." You say as you shift to get going, before a loud bang outside Anton's office door startles you both, and a tall woman comes barreling in.
"Anton!" She all but shouts "I got it! I cracked the code uncle Khors left behind!"
Next to you, Anton is initially startled by the sudden entrance, but he soon regains his composure. He throws a look at you, as if making sure you're not scared off by the taller woman's antics, then turns back to her, his face a mixture of surprise and curiosity.
"Grace? You cracked the code? That's great, but we need to tell the president before you -"
But this Grace person is no longer listening, as her attention is now in on you "Huh, I didn't know it was bring your kid to work day? Wait who's kid is this?"
You deadpan "For the last time. I'm an adult."
At your claim, she looks you up and down and it's quite obvious she doesn't believe you. "A highschooler maybe." She murmurs under her breath.
Anton quickly interjects before she can say more, and you can hear the hint of annoyance in his voice as he speaks "Grace, Y/n's not a high schooler..."
You finally sigh and take out your ID card, at least Anton seemed to believe you so you didn't think he'd take it for a fake ID.
"Oh you poor thing!" The woman says after thoroughly comparing your face to the image on the card "who malnourished you?"
"I'm not malnourished." You say with a tired sigh, but it's not like you can explain your situation, so you don't think you come off as very believable.
Anton gives Grace a sarcastic look as she tries to save her mistake. He rolls his eyes, but a small smile still forms on his face.
"Well!" Grace says "Whatever you two are discussing can wait, let's get her to the cafeteria before it closes, someone is in desperate need of a big meal-" At Anton's warning look, Grace amends "Uhh that person being Anton! A bear sized fellow like him definitely needs to eat lots!"
"Nice save there, Grace. Real subtle."
I don't know what these two's relationship is, but they seem close. You wonder internally.
And as Anton glances at you, it seems he misreads your pondering expression as one of doubt about yourself because he says: "Don't you worry, Shorty. You're fine. I've met actual malnourished people, and trust me, you're in the clear."
...why is he such a green flag?! You have to admit to yourself it'd be quite the shame if he is dating Grace.
"But it's true that we're all hungry" Anton continues while nodding "Grace is right, and let me tell you, the cafeteria food here is really good. I wouldn't want you to miss out on it, shorty."
You nod back, liking the idea "Alrighty then, please lead the way." You go for a polite voice but at Grace's giggle you wonder if you over did it.
Anton grins and gestures for both of you to follow him.
"Aight, I'll show you the way to the cafeteria."
He starts walking and motions for you and Grace to fall in step beside him.
Grace starts telling you both all about the mysterious code the former president of Belobog Industries had left behind, and while fairly sure the information should remain confidential, it wasn't like you could stop the woman on her tirade, you notice Anton doesn't even try.
Then again, they probably think I haven't a single clue of what she's talking about.
As the three of you near what you assume is the cafeteria, Grace stops dead in her tracks. "Oh gosh I'm so sorry, I know I was the one that suggested coming here but I just got an alert and I need to go back and check on my children!" Grace exclaims showing a notification with a warning symbol for an icon. By children, you figure she's talking about machines or software code.
Anton hardly looks surprised. He shakes his head "Hah, typical Grace. Don't worry about it, we can grab food ourselves. You go take care of your babies."
Anton pats her on the shoulder reassuringly "Just make sure to eat something later, okay?"
Grace nods, and you expect her to hurry off towards her workstation but instead she moves to your side and whispers in your ear "My intuition tells me you're a good person, so good luck, I'm rooting for you!" And as you blink in surprise, the woman is already rushing off. You realize that at some point you'd made the judgement she was wholly focused on her mechanic creations and had little attention to her surroundings, but that had to be untrue. She read the situation in seconds and seems to be setting you two up on a date of sorts.
Anton on the other hand watched the entire exchange with one eyebrow raised.
As Grace runs off towards her creations, he turns back to you with a slightly quizzical look.
"What'd she whisper to you?"
You give him a sly smile "Wouldn't you like to know?"
Anton gives you a playful glare in return and crosses his arms "Oh, now you're just teasing me. Come on, spill the beans Shorty. Let me in on the secret."
You skip ahead and push the cafeteria double doors open "Oh wow this place smells great, it's suddenly making me feel so hungry! We better get some food quick!"
Behind you, you hear the taller male let out a hearty chuckle at your unsubtle change of topic "A convenient case of selective hearing, huh? Okay, I'll let it slide for now."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After filling your trays with food the two of you choose somewhere to sit, and with the cafeteria mostly empty it was like you had the whole place to yourselves.
Time to satisfy our empty stomachs.
Or so you thought.
You barely get to sit down before Anton gets a call, and he immediately gets up to take it. You wonder for a few seconds if it would be rude or not to start eating without him, however the call doesn't take that long.
"Sorry about that." Anton says, but when you look up to face him it's like looking at a different person. His attention is still on his phone and the set of his shoulders is stiff, but most of all, his smile is nowhere to be found "Something came up, you can start without me and uh- I'll be right back."
He's gone before you can get a word in edgewise.
Well, now you've been subjected to the inconvenience of eating alone in a cafeteria. At least it's mostly empty. You take exactly two bites of your delicious burger (it seems he was right about the food in this place) before you're interrupted, by Grace again this time.
"Hey! You're Anton's girlfriend!"
You almost choke-
"Where did he go- I think I messed up and I need his help before Sweet Pea finds out!"
Wow... Where do I even start with this one...
You decide to go with the basics "I'm not his girlfriend. I don't know someone called him away I think. Why are you afraid of a vegetable finding out about your mistake...?"
"So he's not here? Oh no." The woman turns on her heel and leaves.
You don't hesitate and follow after her, you'd rather not have to sit alone in a cafeteria, you just hope no one will put away your food while you're gone.
The real problem tho, is how much taller and faster she was. By the time you make it to the double doors you have no clue which direction she went in.
I think she went this way last time?
You pick a direction and at some point the smoke alarms start beeping in the halls, and you hear footsteps somewhere in the building rushing to and fro. Sure enough, you find yourself in a technician's lab at the end of the route. The only problem is, Grace is not here.
You walk in.
It doesn't take long to figure out what was causing a commotion, as the smoke alarm was beeping on and off above a smoking machine component. You step closer and take a look.
Hmm I'm not familiar with this model, but...
Your head turns towards the computer setup on the desk, warning and error messages flashing on the monitor. You sit down and crack your knuckles.
Let's give this a go.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Anton comes back to the cafeteria, finding you right where he left you.
"Heyo Shorty, sorry that took a while, wha- you're not eating yet?"
"Ah- I nibbled at the burger a bit, but I didn't wanna start without you so..." You lie smoothly.
"What the- I told you you could start," Anton says plopping into his seat "now I feel bad for making you wait so long." He says with a- is that a kicked puppy face? You didn't even know it was possible on him.
You instantly start feeling bad "Oh no worries, I didn't even feel the time pass!" I was fairly occupied anyways "Oh! I heard a lot of noise out there, what was going on?" You smoothly switch subjects, grabbing a hold of your burger and taking a bite.
"Hn? Oh yeah, the smoke alarm was ringing in multiple branches but there wasn't a fire in any of them, the system was pranking us I guess." He stabs his steak and starts cutting it "I tried to go back right after but Grace came to find me cuz something was acting up, so I go on a detour to her lab, we got there and whatever she needed a hand with just righted itself so I hurried back." He takes a bite of meet and waits till he's swallowed it to continue "You sure I didn't take too long?"
You smile "Really it's fine, it wasn't that long at all."
For the first seven to ten minutes of you two sitting together again, you both give your undivided attention to your food filled trays. Finally, after devouring an entire burger you break the silence "I'm gonna be honest with you, Anton, I had you all wrong when I first saw you this morning." You say between mouthfuls of fries, keeping one hand in front of your mouth whenever there's food in it and you need to talk.
Anton grins at your admission, taking a sip of his drink before replying "Hah, yeah, I can tell. You were giving me the eye roll of all eye rolls this morning. I take it you've changed your opinion of me now then?"
"Well, you have a very imposing build and with your resting scowl face I thought you'd be... Well nevermind, turns out you're someone who helps those in need... you also got a nice laugh." You end softly.
You hear a utensil drop, and you look up to see Anton's fork fell onto his steak, but more interesting was the deer caught in headlights look he was giving you.
Just as fast as it comes however he pushes it away, regaining his composure in record speed "Ha! I can see why you thought that. I do have a bit of a mean mug when I'm not smiling, though I've been told my laugh sounds like a bear's roar, so the nice laugh bit is definitely a first!" He grins at you, and you wonder if the lighting is playing tricks on you because you think there's some light redness at the top of his cheekbones. He then continues "But you're right, I do try to be helpful and kind, especially to those in need. And I'd like to think my sense of humor isn't half bad either."
You're not sure how to respond to that, the man has been nothing but forthcoming and honest with you all day while you've been... not.
Instead, you glance at the wall clock and say "I think I need to head out soon." As you clean off the last of your fries. "I came here for a job interview but I somehow ended up meeting you and uh- I really enjoyed it! I just wouldn't wanna walk back home too late in the dark y'know?"
"Anton looks at the time on his phone and nods in understanding."
"Yeah, it is getting late. It's not safe to walk around at night, especially for short stuff like you. I don't want you getting lost between the cracks in the sidewalk or something." He gives you a playful smirk.
You go to reply, deadpan tone and expression at the ready when he interrupts you.
"But... if you want, I could always give you a ride home. I have a company car parked nearby."
You hesitate " ...you already payed for the meal, which I'll totally pay you back for by the way! So I don't want to trouble you more..."
Anton shakes his head and waves off your concerns "Nah, don't worry about it. It's just a meal, it's no trouble at all. And don't worry about paying me back either, consider it a welcome to the company gift." He grins, then leans in closer, lowering his voice conspiratorially "Besides, you wouldn't be troubling me. It's my pleasure to help you out, Shorty."
You sweat drop "What's the point of me giving you my name if you'll just keep calling me that?"
Anton chuckles at your reaction, clearly enjoying teasing you "Oh, lighten up a bit. I like giving nicknames to people. It's a nice way to bond, y'know? Besides, it's kind of fitting, don't you think? Given your, uh, petite stature."
You glance at his emptied out tray, the mountains of food he'd heaped onto it already gone "Well, the bonding experience can wait till tomorrow, if you're done, shall we get going?"
Anton leans back in his chair, patting his stomach with a satisfied smile "Yeah, I'm all done. Let's hit the road." He stands up and stretches, then motions for you to follow him "Come on, Shorty. Let's get you home safe and sound."
You follow after him "Tell me honestly, Anton." You say as he grabs his tray to place it on the racks nearby, when you go to grab yours he beats you to it and smoothly takes that one as well, stacking it on his.
"I could've carried that!" You whine.
Anton's infuriatingly attractive grin makes another appearance "Oh, I know you could've carried it. But I'm just being a gentleman, shorty. Can't have you doing all the hard work before you even start tomorrow, you'll get even tinier!" He ends, his tone is teasing as usual but his eyes softened up considerably, and the look he's giving you has your insides turning to mush.
You flush. "Uh- as I was saying, are you maybe a bear in disguise? Because you just cleaned off a mountain of food alone."
Anton laughs at your flushed expression and your playful accusation, the way he's keeping his composure somehow just feels unfair, though you guess for someone working in construction keeping his cool would be a must.
"Ha! Bear in disguise, huh?" He replies "Nah, I'm just a guy with an appetite. You know, working here, I need the extra energy." Then his grin turns cocky "Plus, it takes a lot of food to fuel all this muscle." He gives a playful flex, showing off his bicep with a smirk.
You give a playful eye roll "Oh wow, and you're so humble too!" You say flatly "What a catch wow!"
Anton lets out a hearty laugh at your sarcastic remark and gives you a playful salute "Oh, you know it. I'm the total package. Good looks, charm, wit, and the appetite to match." He grins, clearly enjoying the banter, which you've come to enjoy as well.
"But I'll have you know, there are quite a few women here who think so too."
You deadpan "Good for you. Give me there number, I'll help set you up."
Anton chuckles, then scratches his chin in mock thoughtfulness, then his expression turns into a grin and he gives you a playful nudge.
"But why would I need their number when I've got yours, Shorty?"
You blink "Huh? But I never gave my number...?"
"Yeah, not yet you didn't, but I have good intuition. Call it a sixth sense." He taps his temple with a wink. And it's telling me a certain cute Shorty is interested."
You flush harder "Well your sixth sense must be malfunctioning this time." You say walking ahead, trying to keep him from seeing your beat red face. Unfortunately, with how much taller he is, he catches up by the next second.
When he's by your side, he wastes no time laughing at your flushed face "Hah, you're forgetting who you're dealing with, Shorty. These long legs of mine give me an unfair advantage."
You don't reply.
"And are you sure my sixth sense is malfunctioning this time? Cuz you're lookin' real flustered."
"You're imagining things, maybe it's time to visit the eye doctor?" You huff.
"Oh? Is that so? Hm, maybe my eyes aren't as sharp as they used to be. Let me have a closer look, just in case."
He places one hand on your shoulder to halt your walk and leans in closer, making a show of examining your face.
Your eyes go wider then your older sister's saucers "Hmm strange, I'm getting a clear view of your rosy cheeks right now, and my sixth sense is telling me it's not from the cold."
You consider how to get the upper hand in this situation, but with your muddled mind it gets a bit tricky. You end up going with the first thing that comes to mind "You're right, it's from the heat, it's really getting hot in hear for some reason-" You start, before realizing belatedly how suggestive that sounded "Uh- wait no-" You flush further.
Anton grins at your unintentional innuendo, and raises an eyebrow, playing along "Oh really? Getting hot in here, hm?" He looks around, feigning innocence "Huh, seems like a comfortable temperature to me. Maybe it's just you, Shorty."
You cover your tomato colored face with your arms "Oh enough already, you win so just stop!"
Anton laughs and puts his hands up in mock surrender "Alright, alright, I'll stop. Can't have the cute shorty overheating on me now, can I?" in a quieter, more gentle tone, he adds, "But seriously, your blush is adorable."
You groan "Anton!"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Anton pulls up outside your house in the company car and turns to you with a smile "Here we are, shorty. Home sweet home."
You nod "Thank you, and sorry for the trouble."
Anton shakes his head and waves off your apologies "No trouble at all, I enjoyed the company. Besides, I couldn't just let you walk home alone in the dark." He grins, then adds in a playful tone, "Especially not when you're such a cute Shorty."
You deadpan "Don't make me take it back." You consider something then say "Give me your phone for a sec."
Anton raises an eyebrow, but obediently hands you his phone "Sure, but why do you need it? You gonna put your number in without me asking?"
"Nice try. I'll give you my Inter Knot contact for work stuff. You're not high level enough to get my number yet."
"High enough level, huh? Am I just a lowly level one in your eyes right now?"
Not looking up from your typing you reply "You made it all the way up to level three on day one, Congrats! But your nickname for me is shorty, I don't know how to feel about that yet."
Anton laughs, seemingly amused by your rating system for him "Only level three? Damn, I was hoping for a higher rank. But you're right, the nickname 'Shorty' might be deducting some points."
He grins, then adds with a wink, "Maybe if I find a better nickname, I'll rank up higher in your eyes... or maybe I'll just keep calling you 'Shorty' just to annoy you."
You deadpan "Well that would be very in character for you wouldn't it?" You say handing him back the phone.
Anton takes it back with a smirk, clearly unrepentant for his nickname choice "Hah, you know me so well already, Shorty. I gotta admit, your deadpan face is just too fun to tease." He leans in closer, unable to resist poking at you further "Besides, the way you turn all tomato-red whenever you're flustered is just priceless."
You push his face back with your hand "Goodnight Anton, see you tomorrow." You say as you unlock the cat door and head out.
"Haha, goodnight, Shorty. Get some rest. Sweet dreams."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
And as you lock the car door and leave, Anton checks his phone, leaving the Inter Knot app to check the CCTV footage he has access to. The one that clearly shows you entering and leaving Grace's lab. He barely mumbles out "Till tomorrow then... Y/n. Hopefully I'll figure out what you're really up to soon."

Snap Out of It
Austin Butler x reader
Warnings - angst, fluff, soft!Austin aka normal Austin
Word count - 1877
a/n - request: âThe reader works from home and is really stressed and starting to fall back into depression and Austin comforting her. Austin finds her crying when he comes home because she is overwhelmedâ - I wrote this on my phone since Iâm out of town and it was kinda terrible. Also I visited Elvisâ house and saw Austinâs little exhibit, enjoy :)
You were getting more and more anxious with every passing day. Earlier this month you had auditioned for a role, and you were told that you would receive an answer by the end of the month. Ever since the audition, the first thing you would do each morning would check your emails and your messages for a response, but you were met with nothing.
To be honest, you really needed this job. This is the first role youâve auditioned for in over a year, and getting the job would help bring you out of your current funk. You spend your days working from home, except for the days you have to go out in town for meetings, and being at home all the time is taking a toll on you.
For months Austin had been gone to film for a new movie and he had just come back recently. You watch as Austin leaves to go to the gym or meet up with friends, and each time he would ask you to join him and tell you to leave your work for later, but you were never in the mood.
You could see the disappointment on his face when you would decline his offers, but he wouldnât say anything or push you.
Now, you were standing in the bathroom trying to wipe the tears from your eyes and clear your face before Austin came back home from dinner. Your face was red and your eyes were swollen â you just looked a complete mess.
You grab a washcloth and hold it under cold water to use on your eyes. This has started to become a recurring task, and somehow you felt like you were lying to Austin by doing this and acting like nothing is wrong.
After holding the washcloth over your eyes for a couple minutes, you lower your hands to examine your face in the mirror, only to see Austin standing in the doorway through the reflection in the mirror.
The look on his face breaks you, and for a second you feel like youâre going to start crying again.
Austinâs eyebrows are furrowed and he has this gentle look on his face. Heâs still in his dress pants and buttoned down from dinner with his sleeves rolled above his elbows. You look away, not ready to look him in the eye and not really wanting to talk about it, but you already know heâs going to pry it out of you.
âYouâre back early,â you say, trying to change the subject, even though itâs obviously not going to work. He was home early, though. He wasnât supposed to be back for another hour.
What you donât know is that he left early because he didnât want to leave you home alone too long. He wouldnât tell you that, though, because he knows how quilty you would feel.
When he got home, he noticed the house was a little too quiet, so he went looking around for you. He heard sniffles as he entered the bedroom, and thatâs when he found you in the bathroom trying to clear your face.
Heâs noticed the depletion of your mental health, but heâs been waiting for you to say something to him. He hates that itâs gotten to the point, and he can't help but feel like itâs his fault.
You set the towel down on the countertop, and play with the cloth to continue avoiding his gaze. You wait for him to say something, but nothing comes.
Itâs silent for a moment â you not being ready to talk, and him not knowing what to say. Then, you hear the shuffling of his socks on the bathroom tile coming closer to you.
Austin grabs your hips to turn you towards him, and when you donât move, he makes his grip more firm. You finally give in to face him, looking up at him with your red eyes, though the swelling has gone down from the cold washcloth.
He holds your face in his hands as he stares down at you. Your eyes move to the side to look at anything but him. He wraps his arms around you as he pulls you into his chest, not caring about his nice shirt getting soaked, and thatâs when you break down again.
He gently shushes you as your cries get more intense and your body shakes. When you start to quiet down is when Austin opens his mouth.
âI know you donât want to, but I need you to tell me whatâs going on. Iâve been waiting for you to come to me because I didnât want to pry, but baby if youâre breaking down like this, you need to let it out. If you didnât want to tell me, then at least talk to someone,â he pleads as he soothes you by rubbing your back.
You pull away from his chest with his arms still around you. Using the back of your hands, you wipe your eyes and sniffle to try and clear your stuffy nose. You feel bad for the wet spot you left on his shirt.
âI justâŠI donât know. I feel like such a failure because all I do is wake up, get on my laptop, sleep, and repeat. And I feel like Iâm in the way because youâre out working, and each time you come back home, Iâm still in the same spot you left me in. Iâve been a killjoy for you and Iâve been taking up space, and youâve just had to deal with me all these months and Iâm so, so, sorry. I-,â
âStop, stop, stop,â Austin says softly as he cuts off your rambling, bringing his hands back to your face. âYou have nothing to be sorry for, so donât apologize.â
âBut I-,â you begin to say, but Austin cuts you off again. Tears gather in your waterline once again, but they donât fall.
âNo, Iâm serious. Donât apologize. Youâre not a failure, I donât ever want you to say that or think that about yourself because itâs not true. You think every actor is booked everyday of the year? Theyâre not. All actors take breaks, and they do it because they need to. Shit happens. And you havenât been a killjoy or taking up space, this place is yours as much as it is mine.â
His eyes donât leave yours once throughout the whole speech. His heart breaks at the sight in front of him. Austin hates to see you cry.
âI want to take a break. I didnât need to take a break. I did this to myself,â you tell him.
âWho cares. You donât need to feel like you always need to have something going on. No oneâs pressuring you to do anything â Iâm not, and neither is the world. I'll always be on your side, and I will always be here for you because I love you. I need you to know that,â Austin tells you with a sad smile. He desperately needs you to know that youâre loved. âDo you know that?â
You nod in response to his question, but he shakes his head.
âI need to hear you say it.â
âYes, I know,â you mumble, but Austin accepts it.
âAnd donât you ever forget it. Also, I wouldn't care if you never moved again and left a dent in the mattress, as long as youâre here for me when I get home thatâs all that matters to me,â he jokes, and you canât help but let out a small laugh. âThereâs that smile.â
You give him a shove, and he just laughs. Austin moves his hands down to gather your hand in each of his.
âHave you heard back from that role you auditioned for?â He asks hopefully, his eyebrows raised and his tone still soft.
âNope,â you shake your head as you let out a gloomy sigh.
âWell you still have until the end of the month,â he tells you as he playfully begins to swing your hands in his.
âAt least one of us is optimistic,â you tell him as you look down.
âOne of us has to be,âhe says as he brings one of your hands up to his mouth for him to kiss the back of it.
The next morning, you wake up with a headache, the one that always comes when youâve been crying. You stay in bed, not quite ready to get up and face the day. Although the talk you had with Austin did make you feel better, you still have that voice in the back of your head.
Austin rolls over to see you staring at the ceiling. He wraps an arm around your waist as he scoots closer to you, studying your face. You look over at him once you feel his touch and give him a small smile.
âHow ya feeling?â He asks you as he lifts the bottom of your shirt a little to reach the skin on your waist and begins to caress the skin.
âPretty good,â you say genuinely.
âYou know, you could just stay here in bed with me. I donât have anything to do today,â he tells you as he moves his hand over your stomach to lightly tickle the skin there.
You laugh at the feeling. âI would love to, but I have a couple things to do and some emails to send.â
Austin groans as you slowly crawl out of bed away from his touch, and you just smile.
You brush your teeth and clean yourself up before you head to Austinâs office where you do most of your work. As youâre walking down the hallway towards the room you feel your phone vibrate in your hand.
You thought it was just a regular notification, so you raise your hand to quickly glance at your phone before going to put your hand back down by your side, but you stop yourself halfway.
A message had caught your eye. Your manager had messaged you saying:
- Check your email NOW!
Youâre frozen for a second before picking up the pace to the office. Once you reach the desk, you donât even bother to take a seat as you type in the password to your laptop.
All you need to see are the words âwe are happy to offer you the roleâ before you let out an excited scream. Finally. You can finally stop stressing, get out of the house, and continue what you love doing.
Austin comes running into the room after your outburst and meets you with a confused face. âWhatâs wrong?â he asks, but once he sees the huge grin on face, he raises his eyebrows and a smile appears on his own lips. âDid you get it?â
You nod happily as you jump up and down, and Austin mirrors your actions with his toothbrush still in his mouth.
As he brings you in for a hug, he says, âIâm so proud of you, I knew you would get it.â
âNo you didnât,â you tell him as he squeezes you.
âYes, I did. I knew you would get it because you're amazing and talented and smarter than me and-.â
âAustin,â you laugh as you cut him off, âenough.â

So you heard it all before
Falling in and out of trust
Trying to rekindle us
Only to lose yourself
But I wonât let me lose you
And I wonât let us just fade away
These past few weeks I have been at an all time low mentally. Itâs been getting harder and harder to pull myself out of bed and get stuff done. I hated this feeling because it destroyed my life outside of my head.
At first Matt was understanding and even tried to help me, but this wasnât something he could help me with. This was my own battle. I had to try and fix myself. I hated to put this on him and his brothers because I didnât want them to stop what they were doing for me.
I often removed myself from them, focusing on myself when I got like this. They always checked up on me, but I made it clear I was okay on my own.
Most days I would wake up and shower and just sit in bed for hours staring at a wall or scrolling on my phone. Often forgetting to eat or drink water. At first they tried to help me, but then they went on with their lives doing what they needed to do, and I didnât mind. That was until Matt started getting upset
I was once again sitting in Mattâs bed today in complete darkness curled up in a ball looking at the wall just thinking. Itâs crazy how fast time goes when youâre not paying attention. Suddenly the door opened the lights flickered on causing me to squint
âHave you gotten up at all today?â Matt asked bluntly
âI haveâ I said in a whisper
âAre you just going to sit in bed everyday and mope around?â He asked opening his closet to change his outfit
âIâm not moping mattâ I said not even looking over at him
âYes you are, Iâm trying to get you to get up and go out, see some light, and all you can do is lay around and stare at the wallâ he said scoffing at me
âYouâre being a dickâ I said to him
âIâm not Iâm being honest, and you clearly donât like honestyâ he said looking through his closet
âIâm going through something right now, and Iâm really struggling to feel better, so you coming in here and barking at me isnât helpingâ I said to him
âSo get up, like force yourself up and letâs go do something. We can go for a ride or to the boardwalk or even to eatâŠ.just somethingâ he said
âI donât want to get up okay, you donât get itâ I said back
âI do get it. Do you know how many days I wake up and I want to roll over and stay in my room, but I canât because I actually have a job to do and content to createâ he replied back
I turned over completely appalled at his words
âActually have a job? We both have the same fucking job you fucking assholeâ I said looking at him
âWell look whoâs putting in the work and who isnâtâ he said looking over at me
âYouâre such a fucking piece of shit when you want to beâ I said rolling my eyes
âI tried to be there for you, but this has been going on for so long, and itâs exhausting trying to help youâ he replied slipping his shirt on
âNo one fucking asked you to help me I said I got it on my own. Iâm so fucking sorry my depression is taking such a toll on youâ I said getting up from the bed
âItâs upsetting to just see you lay here and waste your days awayâ he said looking over at me
âCanât you see?âŠ..YOU JUST DONT GET ITâ I yelled the last part at him
Opening his door and walking out slamming the door behind me. I was fuming and I needed to get out of the house immediately.
I grabbed my purse and my car keys from the table
âHey you okay?â Nick asked me as I walked into the living room
âYeah Iâm fine your brothers being a dickâ I said
âClassic Mattâ Chris responded
âWhere are you going?â Matt suddenly asked from the kitchen
âIâm leavingâ I said with my back to him
âThis is what it took for you to get up? Was an argument? Itâs shocking how upset you get over small thingsâ he responded
âMatt shut the fuck upâ Chris said to him
âIâm not mad Iâm disappointed that you of all people are acting this way towards meâ I said finally looking over at him
âI was just trying to help youâ he said
âWhatever Iâm goingâ I said turning to walk down the stairs
âWhere?â Matt asked
âAway from you. I need space from youâ I said
With that I walked down the stairs and hopped into my car deciding to drive back to my apartment. Once I got home I decided to shower and listen to music while I cooked something for myself
I loved Matt but his communication skills were horrible. Itâs crazy that this small argument put some drive into me to start doing stuff. I was filled with so much anger and hurt from Matt. This was not who he was, and I wasnât sure if he was going through something himself, or if I was genuinely making him upset.
I allowed myself to hurt and cry in the comfort of my own home. Scared that this would cause our relationship to end, but also scared that it could be something I wanted too.
I slept it off that day, and hadnât spoken to Matt in three days. I would text Nick and Chris letting them know I was okay, and that I wasnât too sure what I wanted to do as far as our relationship.
Another three days went by, and it was a good week now since I last saw Matt. Around the fifth day he started to call me, but I ignored his calls, truly needing this time to think.
On the eighth day I felt better, and I really missed Matt. I wanted to make things up to him and make things right. I decided to go on a small shopping spree for him and write him a cute letter attached to a new stuffed animal I got him.
After shopping I decided to head over to the triplets house letting Nick know Iâd be over shortly. He left the door unlocked for me. I made my way to their front door letting myself in.
âHi guysâ I said walking up the stairs
âHeyyy youâre backâ Chris said
âI amâ I said giggling
âAre you feeling any better?â Nick asked me
âI feel much better. I think I just really needed those last days to think about everything and figure out what I wanted to doâ I responded
âAre you breaking up with his bitch ass?â Chris asked laughing
âNo I came to apologize to himâ I said
âApologize to him? You didnât do anything wrongâ Nick said
âI feel like I shut him out and I lacked communication with him, and thatâs why I want to say sorryâ I told him
âAww okayâ Nick said
âHeâs in his roomâ Chris said
I nodded and walked over to Mattâs room, opening the door to see him lying on his bed scrolling through his phone.
âMattâ I said shutting the door behind me
âBabyâ he said getting off the bed and coming over to kiss and hug me
âI missed youâ I said kissing him again
âI missed you tooâ he said looking down at me
âI brought you gifts to say Iâm sorryâ I said smiling at him
âOh yeah?â He said nodding at me
I gave him the stuffed animal and the bags of stuff. He walked over to his bed placing the stuffed animal on his bed and sitting down to look in the bags
He pulled out shirts and beanies and a new necklace
âWhyâd you get me this?â He said his mood suddenly changing
âWell to say Iâm sorry for not talking to youâ I said
âYou sit around moping and then suddenly you feel better to go shopping? This is all so expensive, why'd you waste your money?â He said looking at me
âWhat? Iâm confused right nowâ I said shaking my head
âYou donât talk to me, but you think buying me expensive stuff is going to fix us?â He said
âMatt, are you joking? I came here to apologize to you for not opening up to you and taking your advice. I wanted to spoil you with my hard earned money, and this is how you treat me?â I said scoffing
âI just wanted you to talk to me not do this shitâ he said putting the stuff back in his bag
âI donât know what happened to you Matt, and Iâm sorry if youâre going through your own issues right now, but this is not youâ I said shaking my head
âIâm fineâ he said sternly
âYouâre clearly not youâre snapping at me for no reasonâ I said
âIâm not snappingâ he said
âYou know what Matt. If you donât want to be with me just say that, okay? Iâm over this! Iâm leavingâ I said walking out of his room
I walked to the living room and Nick stopped me
âWhatâs going on?â He said reading my demeanor
âI donât know whatâs going on with your brother but thatâs not the guy I fell in love withâ I said clenching my jaw
âWhatâs wrong with this kid?â Chris suddenly said
âI donât know, but Iâm over it. Iâm leavingâ I said huffing out a breath
I left their house and headed back to my place. Even more angry than our first initial fight. Why was he being such a fucking dick?
Nicks POV
âMatt what the fuck is wrong with you?â I asked him
âNothings wrongâ Matt said scoffing
âYouâre being a complete fucking dick to Y/N, and she didnât do anything to youâ I responded back
âShe just makes me upset sometimes with how she does thingâ he said back
âSo then like an adult you use your words. You donât just lash out like a childâ I told him
âI didnât lash out like a childâ he said getting upset
âYes you did, and you get upset easily. You need to figure your shit out, or sheâs going to leave you, and I wouldnât be shocked if she didâ I told him
âYou know what fuck youâ he said and stomped to his room
Matt had sat on his bed running his hands through his hair looking down at the bags of clothes Y/N had got him. He let out a sigh and leaned back, suddenly landing on a stuffed animal and hearing a crunch of paper
He furrowed his brows and reached behind him, he pulled the stuffed animal out, and saw a note attached to the front. It read Matt with a heart next to his name.
Matt opened the envelope and pulled the letter out. He began to read and his facial features softened
To my beautiful boy,
Iâm sorry if Iâve done anything to upset you, that's not what I intended. Iâve been struggling with my own depression, and itâs not something I want to put on you or your brothers because I know you go through so much daily. I appreciate you being there for me, and being my shoulder to cry on. I love you. Iâm sorry if youâre going through anything yourself, and I havenât given you the comfortability or time to express yourself. You havenât been the same these past few weeks, and I hope itâs not something Iâve done. I care for you and I worry for you, and even though your words hurt me the other day I can not hold it against you. Deep down I know youâre fighting your own demons, but I just want you to talk to me. Our communication has been awful lately, and Iâm not sure why. Please know that Iâm always here for you no matter what. Rain or shine Iâll be there for you my love. I just want us to be how we used to be happy and in love. I love you with my whole heart Matthew!
Sincerely,
Your biggest fan
Matt immediately shot up, his heart falling to his stomach. Immediately he felt the guilt and disgust wash over him. How could he be so mean and awful to you? You have been there for him through thick and thin. You were his rock and he was treating you horribly
Matt jumped up immediately grabbing his keys, and running out to head over to you. In a hurry he walked down the stairs shouting to his brothers heâd be back home soon.
He got in the car and immediately started his way over to you. How could he hurt his baby? His number one in life. He was so hurt he couldnât even focus on anything else. About 20 minutes later he arrived to your apartment complex, walking up to your floor and knocking on your door
You opened the door with saddened eyes, and a confused look on your face.
âYouâre my everything. I have never wanted anything more in life than you. I have been the worst boyfriend to you during a time where you needed my support the most. You didnât deserve to be spoken to the way you were. And for that I can not forgive myself for. I was a piece of shit and you tried to be understanding. If you no longer see a future with me because of how I acted I completely understand thatâ Matt said looking me in the eyes
âMatt? IâŠ.â I couldnât even form a sentence I was shocked
âI love you, and if you donât want to see me right now I get that. I will give you space and I will leaveâ he said turning on his heels to walk away
âMatt waitâ I called out to him which caused him to turn back around
âYou were a piece of shit and the things you said were awful, but that doesnât mean I donât want to be with you. I know deep down you're struggling with your own issues, and if you donât want to talk about them thatâs fine, but just know communication is key, and it goes both waysâ I said looking at him
âIâm sorry. Iâm so fucking sorryâ he said letting his head hang
âItâs okay Matt, come inâ I said pulling him in to my apartment
âItâs not okay. I was horrible to you and I donât deserve youâ he said sitting down
âDonât speak like that. We deserve each other, you just have a hard time communicating, and I understand thatâ I said walking over to him
âItâs just seeing you so hurt and depressed made me so angry because I couldnt bare to see my baby struggling and not feeling like you were able to come and talk to me. It hurt me, and instead of talking to you about it I let that hurt turn into angerâ he said
âIâm sorry for completely shutting you out of my life for those past few weeks. It wasnât right, and that was a time I needed you the most and I just pushed you so far awayâ I told him
âI promise to communicate with you about how I feel so we can work everything out, I donât want to fight with youâ he said pulling me into him
âAnd I donât want to fight with you either Matthew. I love youâ I said smiling at him
âI love you tooâ he said letting a tear fall from his eye
âDonât cry my love itâs okayâ I said pulling him into me
Matt completely broke down in my arms
âItâs not okay I hurt you and I canât live with the fact that I said such awful things to youâ he said in sobs
âThis will make us stronger as a couple okay, we now know how to go about our issues without it boiling overâ I said petting the back of his head
âIâm sorryâŠ.im so fucking sorryâ he said pulling away and looking at me
âItâs okay, I love you okayâ I said wiping his eyes and looking at him
âI love you tooâ he responded
I pulled Matt in and kissed him. It was a deep passionate kiss. A kiss that we so badly needed.
Matt laid in my arms the whole night as we spoke to each other. Talking about our feelings and how we wanted to change. He listened to every word I said carefully and I did the same
Matt was my ride or die, and I could not live without him.
The End

(UPDATE: As of October 1st, my washing machine is working, but the other stuff still applies)
Hey guys.
I really hate asking for help here, but this is important.
So. My washing machine broke, and I can't do laundry.
Laundromats cost money, and in terms of money, my family and I aren't doing so hot. Money is tight and going to laundromats is going to make it even tighter. And if I can't afford the laundromat, I'll have no clean clothes to wear.
My aunt likely isn't going to do anything to help, and she'll just blame my mom for it like she does with everything bad that happens.
Even if the washer was working fine, I'm on a time limit. My aunt wants to have a room for her granddaughter (my cousin's daughter), and that means one of us is going to have to leave or be forced to leave.
I've been doing this program (that I can't go in the specifics of because I don't want to doxx myself) that will help me get a job in the future, but it's at least 10 sessions, Monday to Friday, and I'm only on session 3.
And even then it's gonna take a bit for me to actually get a job.
I want to get out of my house and move somewhere that isn't this.
The house hasn't been tended to by my aunt, and she refuses to do anything about it.
My mom is disabled and can't fix it. Even if she was capable, my aunt should have to be the one to help the house not turn to shit, because my aunt owns the house.
Living here has been an absolute nightmare. For 4 years now, I have had to endure my sibling falling through the floor and getting their leg stuck, me falling down the stairs into literal sewage, using entire bins to collect rainwater from the roof, one of the cats getting an infection from his wart (that had been getting worse each day and she did NOTHING), dealing with fruit flies and roaches multiple times, stepping in cat shit regularly, and having to hear the dogs whine and bark because one has their fur falling out and has a rash because he's allergic to the dog food he eats and the other has severe hip problems due to being in cages 24/7.
The only reason why my family is even here in the first place is due to us not being able to afford living where we lived before, and my aunt took us in.
I've tried to make things work, to find the positive side of things, but living here has taken a toll on my health.
The only source of income my family has at the moment is child support and food stamps.
I almost never ask for help, especially not online, but my family could really use the money.
I do commissions, and my cash app is $AriAnimates79.
If you want to commission me or even donate, it's be much appreciated.
I have a bigger audience here on this blog, although I'll be reblogging it to my others as well.
Anything helps, even reblogging.
Thanks in advance.

To those who don't know, I took a mini break this week. The election really got to me, more than I thought it would, and I was taking spiritual damage from the world collectively grieving. I haven't mastered blocking that shit out đ€Ł
Between my call center job, my family, and everything else in my life, my brain went on a hard chill. Im doing what I need to survive. Which is staying the hell off my phone.
And yknow what, it has really helped. My emotions are starting to level out now that I can pick out what's actually mine.
Maybe I'll update this week, maybe I still need to chill, who knows.
Rest is important yall đđđ
And as a friendly reminder, demanding pt 2 to any of my works is the opposite of motivation yall think it is. Especially if it's your first time commenting. You may be new to my blog, and if so, welcome đ but while it's hard to infer tone, my sensitive ass interprets it as youre not really appreciating the work. I'm not a machine. It seems like I'm cranking these out and im not. It takes a huge emotional toll to write these fics. And I aint had it this week.
Do you have to comment and reblog to enjoy my work? No. I will never ask you to do something you're too shy to do. I juss want folks to have fun on my blog. But I promise, telling me what you liked about the fic will 200% motivate me to write more.
This isn't directed at anyone. Juss a heads up for the new folks.
