Since I won't have the chance to draw the Dragon Outfits soon, I want to share my "Other Sega" series!
Tumblr media
This was the first one I made more than a year ago of them as Samba and Salsa. It really was just a random idea.
Tumblr media
These two are from two different franchises, with Blaze having a Burning Rangers fit, which is a random game about firefighters with a banger theme. Marine, on the other hand, is wearing the main fit for Amazing Island, which is a game about making a bunch of silly monsters.

And last but not least, since Silver already had this Nights costume, I thought it would be nice to make a matching Shadow Reala to go along with it.

5 years
Charlie wakes up after a five-year coma. Commander Sky, and a surprising savior.
When Charlie woke up, she felt as if she’d slept for weeks, but figured it had only been a few days. Sitting up actually had been a challenge, and she’d swayed a bit as she stood up. ‘Get a grip, Charlie,’ she thought to herself. She made her way out of the room and down the hall, holding onto the wall for support. “What the hell is wrong with me?” she thought.
Somehow she made it to the rec room, where Bridge and Boom were playing a game of chess. Both nearly fell out of their chairs when they saw Charlie.
“Did I make that much noise coming in here?” Charlie asked as she managed to dizzily plop down on a nearby couch.
“Well-” Boom started to say.
“Um, no, but we were just really into the game! That’s all!” Bridge babbled. He didn’t have the heart to tell her, at least not yet.
“I’d offer to play the winner, but everything looks kind of blurry right now,” Charlie murmured.
At that moment, one Commander Sky Tate walked by, and stopped. He nearly had a heart attack when he saw Charlie, and crossed the room to where she was sitting in two or three strides. He tried to keep his voice calm and said, gently, “Charlie, are you all right?”
“Hm?” Charlie looked up at him. “Oh hey Tate. Nice outfit. New uniform? I’m fine I guess, but my limbs feel like lead, and everything’s a little blurry. I feel like I’ve slept for weeks, but it has to have only been a few days, right?”
Near them, Bridge coughed, and Sky glared at him before turning back to Charlie. “You shouldn’t be out of bed just yet. But I’m glad to see you’re awake. C’mon, I’ll help you.”
“Aw, but Tate...” Charlie whined.
“Can you even stand up right now?” Sky countered. “Now come on.” His tone didn’t leave room for argument. He’d help her to her feet, and then put an arm around her waist as they walked. “It’s not too far.”
Charlie didn’t want to admit it, but she had to lean on him a lot going back. “So what’s with the uniform, and how come Bridge and Boom looked like they’d seen a ghost when I walked in?”
“Charlie, I don’t know how to tell you this, but-you’ve been in a coma for five years.”
“What?” Charlie stopped, and might have fainted if Sky hadn’t caught her. They stood face to face now. “How could it be-”
“Do you remember what happened?” He asked. “That day?”
Charlie frowned. “I remember landing and the others going on ahead...and then I heard screaming. When I caught up, I realized the others...were firing on civilians. So I didn’t even think about it-I fired on on them to draw their fire. And then they started firing on me, and it turned into a shootout and the rest kind of blurred. At some point I became conscious of someone else there, but I didn’t see who. I remember saying something about getting back home to warn everyone, but-that’s all I remember.”
Sky nodded. “Your reports match the reports we got from your former teammates, what footage we got, and witnesses,” he said. “You don’t know how you got home?”
“No. Did I crash down in a blaze of glory?” she asked.
Sky laughed. “No, not exactly. Someone brought you back. It was-well, c’mon, I need to sit down for this.” He ushered her along, and once she was back in the bed in the medbay, he pulled up a chair beside her.
“So?” she asked.
“It was my dad,” He said, shaking his head. “We...we couldn’t believe it. I thought it was a trick of the eyes, or someone playing a trick. Even when he took off his helmet, I thought-” He shook his head. “But as he talked, somehow I knew it was him. He said he’d been with you, protecting you, and when I asked how, he reminded me of the ranger code. That’s when I knew it was him.”
“Damn,” Charlie said. “I can’t believe it was-did he say anything else?”
“Only what you said, about coming back to warn everyone. He also suggested we study training sessions of A Squad to learn their tactics, which we did. He told us there were survivors, but he didn’t know how many. Later investigation by High Command proved that all the civilians survived. You’re a hero, Charlie.”
Charlie shook her head. “No I’m not. I just went on instinct is all. If it hadn’t been for your dad and those impact chips I wore, I’d be a goner.”
“What impact chips?”
“Some prototype impact protection chips made by Cadet Scott...she made 5, one for each of us...but I knew how the others were. They’d laugh in the face of a lower ranking cadet and fail to see how one could help them-so I took them all.”
“Wait, you’re telling me you tested the impact armor prototype?” Sky blinked. “No wonder it works so well. It’s part of our ranger arsenal now. Cadet Scott works in the lab with Boom now, by the way.”
“I didn’t see any harm in testing it,” Charlie replied. “Besides, we were going into a hornet’s nest anyway, and if there was a chance something else could help, I was going to take it.”
“Well, now I know to contact Crueger at High Command and see that she gets a commendation for that. You already got yours when my dad brought you back. He disappeared right after bringing you back and talking to us, by the way-my dad, that is.”
“I see and-wait, Crueger is high commander now? Then who’s commander here?”
“You’re looking at him.” Sky gave her a lopsided grin.
“Oh god, I’ll have to call you ‘sir’ now,” Charlie groaned. But she was grinning.
“Afraid so,” he replied, chuckling.  “But right now, I want you to take it easy. If you walk around, I want somebody with you till you’re stronger.”
“Aye aye, captain,” she replied, giving him a little salute.
“Smartass,” he muttered. But he was laughing.
