1 and 10 for hallows me blorbo <3
1: What was the first element of your OC that you remember considering (name, appearance, backstory, etc.)?
Choosing to play an Eladrin was a pretty spur-of-the-moment decision (I was going to play a Firbolg Spores Druid named Ravarona, who was a backup character I had during Memento Mori's campaign if he ever died, but changed my mind on the spot) so I'm not going to count that, so other than that I'd say her first, last, and child name! Her middle name came later. I rolled for a random child name (since Hallows was only 69 at the time of the campaign. Nice.) But since I couldn't picture Traki as a long term thing I decided that she declared adulthood early and changed it. I took one look at the book picture and thought "hey that looks like Halloween" and so I named her Hallows and that was it for the name thing lmao. I could go on about her original concept but I've already rambled enough here lmao.
2: If they have an LI, how much of their character is tailored to be compatible to that person?
Surprisingly, none! Hallows and Esvele actually didn't like each other much at all during the course of the campaign; I don't know if the DM planned for her to be a love interest from the start or if she was just supposed to be an acquaintance, but originally my DM just picked a random noble out of the list and had her be the one to show up welcoming us to Waterdeep. The main interactions during the campaign was more of a mutual "I'm only pretending to like you because I can get something out of this partnership but really I think you're a fucking freak", where Esvele put up with Hallows for the sake of trying to get a fresh connection with other nobility who don't know about her family's past "controversies" (can't think of a better word right now but pretty much every Rosznar is an absolute garbage human being), and Hallows was using her connection with Esvele to get a foot in the door with the other nobles in town to try to bring the Naïlo Royalty back into prominence, starting with her since she knows her father tried and failed to. It was only after the campaign ended that we found out they both had secret identities and a history of lawbreaking and the DM and I decided post-campaign that it'd be cool to expand upon that connection of "you found out about my secret identity so now I can't get rid of you or you'll out me to the law but also now that we're stuck together we're really not that different are we" outside of the game. Most art I make of them is when they're like, past all that and are much MUCH more chill with each other, but for a LONG time there was a lot of tension with each other and they didn't exactly like each other very much lmao.
#asks#Hallows#Esvele#worldbulding#<- kind of. this isn't like feywild politics or geography like usual but it is character history i don't post about as often so it counts#WORLDBUILDING#goddamn can't spell my own tag

Naïlo is the type of guy that runs first into the battle, not knowing what the heck he should do, but with a big smirk on his face. He'll probably end up trying to charm the enemy, no matter their gender or species.
He's definitely the first one to gamble all the coin out of a man's pockets once they're in a tavern. And the first person in the party to get laid, even before the adventure of the campaign has started.
