12 and 17 for the dice asks!
12: Show us your fave d20 oooh that’s tough ugh. i still have a huge soft spot for my normal human designs baby, since it was my first handmade die. i’m still so in love with the colours!

17: Free for all! Tell us anything about your dice, your characters, or a game you’ve played, or shout out a dice maker don’t get me started i’ll do all of the above jsdgbsjdgjsg uuuuuuh i guess i’ll talk about the last session i dmed! i was dming for my roommates, who were both first-time players. character creation was fun bc they both wanted to be sorcerers and while i’m totally down to play an oops-all-sorcerers session at some point, a oneshot with a fairly inexperienced dm and 2 first-time players really wasn’t the right time for it. one of them stuck with her sorcerer, a half-elf named hope naïlo. she ended up freaking out a bit in their first battle because she realized she didn’t have any cantrips that’d do damage but her sleep spell came in super handy lol. the other one decided playing a monk would be fun and thus our kenku, toktoktok, was born (hatched?). she rolled an 18 when we rolled for stats and applied it to her dex and so her dex is 20 and she’s ridiculously op in that respect so i had to rein her in a bit lol. her name is technically pronounced as the sound of someone like. making an “o” with their mouth and slapping their cheeks 3 times but the wizard who sent them on their quest had known her for a while and just called her tok. their mission was to go retrieve the last dragon egg, and the session was more roleplay-heavy than combat-heavy since they were just getting introduced to the game. we had so much fun and they want a followup session!!
thank you for the ask!! <3

1 and 10 for hallows me blorbo <3
1: What was the first element of your OC that you remember considering (name, appearance, backstory, etc.)?
Choosing to play an Eladrin was a pretty spur-of-the-moment decision (I was going to play a Firbolg Spores Druid named Ravarona, who was a backup character I had during Memento Mori's campaign if he ever died, but changed my mind on the spot) so I'm not going to count that, so other than that I'd say her first, last, and child name! Her middle name came later. I rolled for a random child name (since Hallows was only 69 at the time of the campaign. Nice.) But since I couldn't picture Traki as a long term thing I decided that she declared adulthood early and changed it. I took one look at the book picture and thought "hey that looks like Halloween" and so I named her Hallows and that was it for the name thing lmao. I could go on about her original concept but I've already rambled enough here lmao.
2: If they have an LI, how much of their character is tailored to be compatible to that person?
Surprisingly, none! Hallows and Esvele actually didn't like each other much at all during the course of the campaign; I don't know if the DM planned for her to be a love interest from the start or if she was just supposed to be an acquaintance, but originally my DM just picked a random noble out of the list and had her be the one to show up welcoming us to Waterdeep. The main interactions during the campaign was more of a mutual "I'm only pretending to like you because I can get something out of this partnership but really I think you're a fucking freak", where Esvele put up with Hallows for the sake of trying to get a fresh connection with other nobility who don't know about her family's past "controversies" (can't think of a better word right now but pretty much every Rosznar is an absolute garbage human being), and Hallows was using her connection with Esvele to get a foot in the door with the other nobles in town to try to bring the Naïlo Royalty back into prominence, starting with her since she knows her father tried and failed to. It was only after the campaign ended that we found out they both had secret identities and a history of lawbreaking and the DM and I decided post-campaign that it'd be cool to expand upon that connection of "you found out about my secret identity so now I can't get rid of you or you'll out me to the law but also now that we're stuck together we're really not that different are we" outside of the game. Most art I make of them is when they're like, past all that and are much MUCH more chill with each other, but for a LONG time there was a lot of tension with each other and they didn't exactly like each other very much lmao.

MYTH AND LIGHT UNDER THE DARK
SESSION 1:  Stupid Freaking Ogres
Well. Haha! Our first session was definitely an adventure- Lots of near death experiences~
The Adventurers:
Rael Naïlo: Elf, Warlock
Aravae: Half-Elf, Bard
Mal [Malkane]: Tiefling, Thief
Torgga: Dwarf, Fighter
Torvin: Dragonborn, Ranger
Lingkh [Lingkhtaz]: Tiefling, Paladin
It begins like most great adventures begin- in a tavern! Stevo's tavern! We all come seeking Ara the bard. Lots of talking lots of talking, I make friends with an Awesome looking tiefling named Mal- she’s pretty cool and has black black eyes and red skin and white hair (sort of freaky, sort of intriguing) but it doesn’t faze me! Because I’m a friendly elf that adventures for a living and like to make friends (or do I...?? hehe). Anywho~ although the paladin (he doesn’t look like a tiefling, at least not to us yet) doesn’t exactly like the tiefling and dragonborn peeps- we all decide to go on an adventure together to the underdark! Aravae has a map to a place called New Mithrum, and that’s where we’re going.
We spend a day buying supplies and all because just the journey to NM is probably going to take 5 days. I’m not sure why but I had such a hard time figuring out all the math, but just so you know: 5 WATERSKINS = 1 GOLD and that will last for 2 1/2 days. Took me forever to get that through my brain~~ lol. We also went to a pawn shop type thing in the nearby Gnome village and I bought the “Book of Ancient Riddles” because I totally failed a riddle thing once and I do not plan on doing that again. ALSO, some previous adventurers made an appearance; Norda and Quelenna! Apparently Ara and Lenna were not as close as I thought they were, but they didn’t exacty part on good terms...but Norda is our fave and we love her.
Next day! We go back into the dark abyss under the Gnomish library and we find the hidden door and then the elevator to the underdark~~~ YYAASS. Maybe. Hehe! We’re in a crazy room that smells awful and has got poop everywhere- smells awful. And then we find OGRES. Huge ugly looking things~ And there are strange prisons in the ground full of prisoners (obvi) and mushrooms and lo and behold- one of the prisoners is TORGGA. A drunk-sleeping dwarf that we are going to rescue while we fight off two ogres. You wanna know how the fight went, it was awful, bad and craaaaazy. Ogres don’t like to die, they’ve got ‘layers’ I guess you could say (hehe Shrek). THEY TOOK SO LONG TO DIE. While we fought our Dragonborn friend nearly died ...maybe 3 or 4 times, and the Paladin almost died at least 3 times as well! It was a struggle and this session went on for more than 5 hours~~~ haha! BUT we succeeded and hopefully in the next session we can actually get Torgga out and continue on in our quest. Happy Day!
*ALSO: I really need to master my spells and stuff because they were doing me no kind of good whatsover~ the only helpful thing was to use one of my reaction spells; die to save everyone else and myself~~ not my favorite thing, but it did work!

Naïlo is the type of guy that runs first into the battle, not knowing what the heck he should do, but with a big smirk on his face. He'll probably end up trying to charm the enemy, no matter their gender or species.
He's definitely the first one to gamble all the coin out of a man's pockets once they're in a tavern. And the first person in the party to get laid, even before the adventure of the campaign has started.
