this month's monthly f/f discourse on twitter just made me sad but now im thinking. how is there meant to be change in attitude if the people who are up in arms monthly over this.... don't want to lead by example? they just want to make hot take posts and scathing critiques of "misogyny" but they aren't doing the leg work associated with fandom by, well, writing fic. like, no one wants to be lectured in a leisure space but they don't want to get the ball rolling by inventing tags because.... its cringe??? then why do you care??? or because theres no engagement??? yeah no shit, but that's not unique to f/f ships

i imagine its because at the end of the day, feeling superior over other people through tweets is much easier and much more addicting than staring at a blank google doc trying to remember what the word your thinking of is
