Born to the prestigious Byrne family, Elsie grew up very privileged. For centuries, the Byrnes have been one of the most respected Irish pureblood families. Relying on her familial wealth, Elsie has big plans for her future. She's not terribly concerned with school, as she sees herself making an impact on the wizarding world as a whole, outside of the walls of Hogwarts. Although she spent much of her first year at school as a quiet girl, she very quickly became THE Hogwarts it girl. Boys want her, other girls want to be her friend, but she hardly has the time for any of them. On the surface, she may seem like a shallow mean girl, but she just has no patience for people who slow her down. She often uses her status as the most popular girl in her year to keep things in order, and to knock down those who are actually mean.
