It’s weird, because my parents are basically perfect (of course they have flaws, but in general), but some of my favorite fanfiction or stories are about bad parents who make up with their kids, or parents who through circumstances entirely out of their control weren’t around, just… any story that shows how parents truly care for their children just busts my heart open and makes it bleed everywhere, and I can’t explain why. It just hits something in me.
