It's that time again where I want to write a faerie horror story because I'm filled with spite at all the fae romance where they're just. basically feudal Twilight vampires
#i only want my faeries scary and incomprehensible#thinking about how people call the kingkiller chronicle problematic because of felurian#as if the entire thing about her wasnt that she's a predator in every sense of the word#but at the same time she's like. playing. and humans are just too fragile to last as playthings#and why should she care? she's ancient and powerful and human lives are the blink of an eye to her#she's fully written to not adhere to mortal rules (fae rules though. those are important)#meanwhile rice sand could just as well be a toxic niceguy sensitive soul (tm) billionaire. like he could be christian grey just immortal#that's! not! compelling! just make them human or even elves but let faeries be otherworldly pleaseee
