My return to ACOLL posting!

Hello there everyone, and welcome back to...well, it says so on the tin! For those unaware, I've been off Tumblr for a little while now, mostly to focus on writing and updating my biggest Miraculous fic to date! A Case of Ladybug Luck! Now, now, I know what you're gonna say. "I have no idea what you're talking about", so allow me to enlighten you! Have you ever wanted a fake death AU inspired by Nine Lives and Cut My Life to Pieces? Welp you've got it here! And yes I am shamelessly self-promoting instead of ranting, but I genuinely love how this AU is turning out and want to share with everybody! So...do you guys like angst? Becuse I do! And I like character drama too! So please, follow me to the fic where Marinette f*cking dies (allegedly), Adrien is a bigger furry than half of canon, Chloe gets a more realistic character arc, Lila is a psychopath, and everybody needs a therapist!

It is...uh, worth mentioning that this AU is...over 283,000 words long and...we're only half done. And yes, the reason I'm posting is because I want to rant about it! Expect snippets, discussions (anon asks are open btw) and also ranting about characters! Seriously the amount of psychoanalisis Gabriel has been through in this fic is downright criminal. For me. Because I have research to do! Listen the point is that I have twenty seven pages of character analysis notes in my drafts and those have to go *somewhere!*

In conclusion, I plan to rant about this AU. A lot. So if you could do me a favor and check it out at least to see if it's your cup of tea, I'd be really happy! Now if you'll excuse me, I need to go and frantically look for my most recent notes on Eminath! For- unrelated reasons! I'll see you all soon, but until then, Stay Miraculous!

Ok here's the next entry in what I think I'm going to refer to as the "hero's Burden AU." I'm going to try and divide the idea into sections to help me organize my thoughts and help make things easier to digest. But two notes first before I begin: 1) this idea is free for anyone to use if they feel like it. While I like to think I'd be able to sit down and write this fully one day, my life is too chaotic right now to commit to it and I'd like to see what people think about it even if it's little ideas. 2) this is mostly for you cap, feel free to let me know if I'm spamming the inbox too much or like overhearing or something. I don't want to bother anyone becuase I'm rambling or posting where I shouldn't or something. I know you'll probably think it's fine but you know *shrugs* anxiety...

Okay on to the actual topic which is I want to start with the villains and what their motivations are as well as how they'll actually be antagonizing Paris.

To begin here's each members motivations as well as their miraculous match. First is Gabriel who lost Emile to a tragic accident and kind of disillusioned himself with reality in his grief. He's become obsessed with the idea that he can change anything for the better and he turns to the miraculous and the spell book (I'll expand on this further down) to do so. His miraculous is the fox. Part of this is becuase his experience as a designer makes him much more able to create illusions of how he wants reality to look like. This is kind of the other part of his choice in that he kind of looses himself in the falsehood of his vision. He can't accept the loss he's experienced becuase he's GOING TO fix things. Emile is never gone, just out of reach in his mind.

Nathalie shares a motivation with Gabriel but leans more on how focused she is on the discord it's caused in those she cares about. She misses Emile a lot but she's more worried about how far gone Gabriel is and how that's affecting Adrien in the progress. She considers them her family too and she'll to anything to give them back that stability and peace, hence the choice to weild the ladybug. Her fault is that I. Her pursuit is in bringing back the order that existed before rather than adapting to change.

Gorilla gets a lot of back story here. Essentially Gorilla was always known for protecting people. He used to be a decorated officer on the force with a wonderful daughter waiting for him at home. Unfortunately a criminal manages to pin a murder on him and not only gets the Gorilla sent to prison, but his only daughter gets put into the foster system. He spends years inside with only the thought of seeing his daughter again holding him together. Unfortunately even though he gets out a few years early do to good behavior (he became practically mute inside.) he finds out that he can't regain custody of his daughter as she's already been adopted by another family. Eventually he ends up working for the Argestes since they're the only ones willing to look over his record. When they eventually offer him the turtle with the promise that he can both get his daughter and protect everyone he cares about, he joins their cause. He has less fault with his miraculous and it's more about who she's choosing to punish/protect.

Next I'm thinking Ms. Medeleiev (wow that's a tough one to remember the spelling). She gets an expanded back story too in that she's a former renown scientist with a huge focus on the environment. She sees the damage done to the earth and she sees the very real doomsday clock that will happen if things aren't taken seriously. One day she used her research to challange a massive company responsible for a horrific amount of pollution but instead the company somehow managed to forge documents to completely shatter her reputation. Becoming a science teacher was the best she could do after that. The villain team see her as someone willing to do what must be done to "save the world" and so, while she stubbornly hates the fact that magic is somehow real and is desperate to break it down into a science she can understand, she joins them. Her miraculous is the black cat so that she can show the world what kind of destruction is waiting for them if the world doesn't wise up. Her fault is that she used chaos and destruction for fear when, in truth, death and chaos are the tools meant to pave the way for the new.

Now finally it's the Bee which is kind of where I ran out of steam. I've been trying to think of others that i would be willing to turn to the more darkside but still have some shred of morals. Instead I decided to go with someone who could probably follow a more traditional villain mindset and likely serve as a corrupting influence to the villain team since honestly the idea is that these are people who are trying to do good but in like the worst way possible. They kind of need that push to stop them from questioning themselves and keep them on their path. Someone to show that despite redemption and redeeming qualities being very important topics in this potential AU, that some people are honestly genuinely selfish and are likely driven more by fear than any real positive desire. That's why I went with Audrey for the Bee. She's someone that the villains think is easily manipulated but instead is slowly corrupting them. Audrey is driven by a deep fear of time itself. Aging, decay, and loss of legacy are what drive her. She wants a world where beauty is eternal and so is she. That's how her use of the bee is twisted. Freezing everything eternally with no chance for change or growth becuse there's fear that those changes won't be for the better.

Okay this is getting long but we're almost there. The last part is an explanation of how they go about their plans and how they can stay a threat despite having static miraculous. Remember the spell book? That's the key to their plan. The miraculous make them strong but the spell book is what let's them take action. Gabriel in his studying of the spell book has discovered that he can actually cast powerfull spells if he uses pages of the book itself as the power sources since its filled with leftover magic from past guardians. So essentially he figured out what he wants to do, rips a page of the book out and fills it with desired spell and so begins the plan. The heroes, in order to save the day, have to capture the page itself since it needs to be at the center of whatever its doing. Capturing the page and breaking the spell also reverts the world back to the way it was before it was cast. So over time the more pages they use, the less spells they can cast, and the more pages the heroes can collect, and thus the heroes start learning more and more from the information they gather. (also to make sure things aren't too easy for the heroes, the pages loose their magic after the spell so while the heroes learn more about magic and the miraculous from the pages they collect, they can't just turn around and start casting their own spells.)

Okay heres the final part. I want to end this segment with an example of what one of their plans/spells would do. As a spinoff of stormy weather, Ms. Medeleiev would use a spell to cast a super storm in the city as an example of the kind of damage global warming can have on the weather and that that if the world wants to prevent this disaster from happening then the heroes must turn over their miraculous.

I think it’s worth to write about it, because this is one of those days to remember. This day, 7th January I met KITT and Knight Rider for the first time. For now, it’s actually 11 years! How it happened? It wasn’t a spectacular one. I just saw radomly an announcement in my local TV channel about Knight Rider 2008. It was in 2010. Besides, foreign Knight Rider titles are similar to “The fantastic car” or something just like that. But in Poland, we call Knight Rider (classic and reboot) “Nieustraszony”, what literally is translated to “The Fearless”. (Technically it shouldn’t be translated, because it’s a proper noun, but anyways). It seemed to be a interesting one, so I decided to watch it. It was the best decision in my life. I fell in love with Knight 3000. I loved his futuristic features, his look and he could talk! (Me 9 y/o kiddo). Besides, for me he was so a realistic one and I wanted to meet him. Well, I loved literally everything. After that, I was growing up with Knight Rider, never leaving me. Even when I was taking a break from it for a while. I still remember when KR08 came back on TV on my birthday. The best present for a fan! Then, I wanted more and more KI3T. I haven’t met such a TV series what affected and stayed with me for such a long time like Knight Rider! And during another Web researches about Knight Rider, I met some fantastic people 8 years ago who introduced me to Classic KR. Oh, is there another Knight Rider? Cool! I saw Knight Rider Polska website in which are the most dedicated fans to the series. And I met KI2T. I liked how he looked, because he seemed to be so cool handsome! But, because of 80s aesthetics was harder to convince myself to classic series. In fact, I watched it 6 years ago for the first time, but technically I didin’t let a chance Knight 2000 to love him more. I prefered high advanced technology and touch screens, hah. And Kilmer’s voice, lel. Also, thanks to that people I could see KR08 reboot wasn’t a perfect one. I saw how many mistakes it had. Poorly made CGI, too less Classic KR, less developped personality than in KI2T and more. In fact, I was defending Knight 3000 becuse “Hey guys, don’t offend him so much! He is not so bad! Just look how cool he is!” Believe me, I saw so many fans arguments about which KITT is better or series - Classic or reboot. I don’t mean about Team Knight Rider and Knight Rider 2000. Then, it took me some time to understand why Classic KR is more appreciated by fans. In fact, loving KR 08 gave me a thing that I was alone in the fandom, and I technically called it “dead”. But deep inside, I needed something more. And solve a problem and questions what I had.  Then, I met here and there some people who revealed what I needed to know. But I wish I could thank a girl here in that smoll fandom, because I understood thanks to her. (Hey, if you read it, you know how much I owe you and I am so thankful for you! I hope we will talk more!) I gave a chance Classic KR and it was an aonther one fantastic decision. It shook me how KI2T behaved! For the first episode (Knight of the Phoenix) seemed KITT will have a fantastic personality and is packed with it! I wanted more. I loved every season. I love KITT trolling people with his existence. How he is sassy all the time, being an geltleman, I loved his comments, meeting with animals, how he is around kids, everything! And I loved FLAG family. Grandpa Devon and Dad of FLAG, Bonnie (I find her beautiful), April (maybe less, but still she wasn’t a bad person), goofy Michael and Reginald! I loved how well planned the series was and being more focused on relationship between AI car and man. That’s so beautiful. Thanks to it I love more and more this series. After all, I am still suprised how long I love Knight Rider. The answer what explains it very well is one of my friends in KR:PL web server:

To be honest, I still love KR 08, because thanks to it I am in the fandom, but personally, I love classic KITT more. KI3T isn’t a bad character. He just met a wrong time to appear on TV.

dear diary,

jisoo told me to write something like diary, because it could help me?? im tired of all what is happening so, im going to write here, ok? can i? i geuss your choice doesn’t matter - i’m gonna do like i want to. so my pain at left side of stomach is now more frequent, and i was at doctor! but it was year ago, i had blood test, research and nothing. doctor said that it can be nervous pains. so now, after 1 year since then, i’ve talked with uncle and when i told him, that this pains are when i’m stressed he became serious and said that i should go to psychologist, so i told my mother. i love her, i really do, but she doesn’t know me well. she was mad that i told her about this, you know? but when she thinks about this she agreed. i’m gonna go next thursday. i’m kinda scared, what should i tell her? i have never been at this kind of doctor before.. 

  by the way, me and jisoo are so so close, and i’m very happy that i have person like this by my side. i love her as mi sister. but i’m worry about her - she has anorexia. i can’t look at her, how weak she is. she can walk, but lately she dropped the brush. i don’t know, she goes to psychologist, but this all is really complicated. i hope she gonna be better. you know, she is only person who listen to me and my problems, oh sorry there is also one person - chan. he is like my second best friend after jisoo. 

 chan and me talk a lot. sometimes we facetiming each other, he always makes me happy, like no other guy did. i mean, i like him, but not like love! it’s impossible to me! 

 also, last few days was messed up. i cried for three days at least. first was friday - elementary school gratuade, exactly 8th class. i really hate this school and people also teachers from there. it was really hard time for me and my mother knew. she was with my during that day. when its end, we had to go to office for our document to new school. and she asked “jane, why are you not smiling?” and i reply “no, im just happy that finally i end this school.” she looked at me like she wants to kill me. maybe i said it too loud? i don’t know, but i know no one pays attention.

 then when we were at the car it’s all started. she was yelling at me; you think you are above everyone; you are cocky; maybe there is something wrong with you not them; maybe because of you, you don’t have friends; everyone were smiling, just you not; and other shit. it’s hurt. really. she does it quite often. of course there were river going down my cheeks. she scared me sometimes and she is the only person who can make me cry that much. but i still love her.

 then was sunday. my dad yelled at me, because i didn’t want to go somewhere with grandpa. i told him it’s not my father, it’s his and then he was yelling at me. he did it that way that i was crying about hour and i was shaking and couldn’t calm down. he made me upset really often.

 then monday. it was the sacrament of confirmation. it took 4 hours and we were going really fast to come back home and when we arrived at home i got call from my cousine. she told that she with my aunt and uncle were there for me and they sounded really sad. i started crying, becuse they were there with me, and they didn’t have to, so it’s makes my heart soft and i started blaming myself. my mother was mad at me, because she doesn’t like them?? something like that and about week she didn’t talk with me. so yeah, it started like that.

 life is messed up sometimes, sure?

 but i had chan next to me always. jisoo advice me and listen to me, when chan did the same and make me happy. i am really happy that i have them. ah, i wrote too much haha

Well they established that different lands, time goes by differently? It's why Belle aged so quickly and Emma and Killian's child hadn't even been born yet?

They actually never established that for real. The time Cora spent in Wonderland, as well as Jefferson didn’t alter the time on his own realm. Same as any other realm except for Neverland, where time doesn’t pass within but it does without, or the Dark Realm, where time passes faster (just not much faster). The problem is that Once Upon a Time writers and creators, liked to work with numbers, and always the same numbers: 28, 7, etcetc. 

So, Hope wasn’t born because the curse that Drizella cast sent them to the past within the land Storybrooke was, as proven when Robin and Alice travel in the finale and find that Henry just graduated the day before, or Henry calling himself within the previous (i think it was the previous) episode and precisely telling himself to leave. The fact that HEnry left Storybrooke to the New Enchantd Forest is in itself a paradox, which is why, once the last curse is cast on the finale, Wish!Henry is there and adult Henry with his family, because the kid Henry is making it possible. 

Bella and Rumple technically have a long life in our mind because we have the imagery of people dying of old age at a really old age. But that’s because we have medicine and whatnot. Belle and Rumple live travelling around. HEnce the scene of Rumple trying to get rid of the Dagger is set 10 years after the season 6 finale (because Gideon is 10 years old), whereas Gideon leaving is early twenties (Since he’s going to an academy, this is an asumption but i doubt he’d be much older) and they’re living in the library of scrolls. 

Library of Scrolls is a location. It appears in the fourth episode of the seventh season. The Library of Scrolls is a big library where Belle, Mr. Gold and Gideon research information about how to free Mr. Gold from the darkness. However, it is not known if Belle and Mr. Gold actually own it.

Belle continues to age normally, and there’s been several years after they left in the first place, not after Gideon left them. Because when Belle dies, Gideon, same actor, is present. Gideon can’t be more than 32at the time (basic assumption). 

At the same time, Henry is 34 or so when Lucy is 6 years old, because 28 is the year that is set at Henry arriving. So here they are coming with maths problems due to the need of recastin henry with an older actor (since Jared left the show or wanted to leave it more prominently rather than being in it for every episode).

Anyhow, is hard to keep up with it but basically: the time didn’t pass differently, it’s just by the time Hope is around a year old the last scene takes place, several months after the curse was cast. It is hard to know if becuse of how the curse was cast, they chose to pick up Emma pregnant because originally, Emma wasn’t going to have Hope in the inale to begin with so if we follow the actual time line: Emma was not pregnant when the curse took Storybrooke and united all the Realms (Including, btw, DRizella and Anastasia who are not seen but technically should be there, as well as the Evil Queen as she was also there, Phillip or Aurora and everyone who was left behind because Regina took everyone). But since they wanted to end the show with Hope which is the motor of the series, they took that little time bubble thing that puts Emma being weeks pregnant when Henry meets Ella onto the not so pregnant Emma because Henry was meant to not be that way.

So going back to Gothel which was the primary problem: technically Gothel was in the New Enchanted Forest, as she delved there and only there. Rapunzel is from there, after all. So is the witch in the divination Ball. And every character that is not from Wish Realm nor Storybrooke’s curse. The state of “before this land lost its magic��� was probably an understatement because, technically, the land should’ve lost its magic openly in the Renaissance, (and the Renaissance are theclothes those characters are wearing in that flashback) but that’s not 1000 years before the events of the show, but 600 at much (since the Renaissance begins in Italy in mid 1400 (or the quattrocento), because technically Hyperion Heights curse is set in 2020 (Henry being 18 when he leaves Storybrooke, while being born in 2001)  It should be a different land then, as if we count the 2020 year as beginning of Henry’s own story and sum up the adventures he had with Jack as an still teenager, then meeting Ella because before meeting Ella he had been world jumping assumingly (otherwise recasting with a much older actor makes 0 sense),  which should be around 15-20 more years. The events in the New Enchanted Forest before the curse should be set in 2040 within Storybrook standards so still very much far from 1000 years and when Emma and Regina meet him again in there and iti ss revealed that Emma is pregnant, they both noticed how much he had grown up. 

Further more, in the moment Alice and Robin travel, Robin in Zelena’s car is 6 years old. That’s why the beginning says 6 years after when Lucy knocks on the door. Because for Storybrooke events only 6 have passed, but in reality muuuuch more has.

Eitherway, That’s why Gothel can’t be from the Land without Magic. If Seraphina was at least 1000 years old she wouldn’t be wearing a blue pompous dress like because this is Renaissance clothing. And this is a Renaissance building. Impossible for it to be the time it should be for 1000 years of difference within the Land Without Magic. Unless she comes from a different, very different realm without magic. Lastly, but not least, they travel through a portal. Which implies that it actually happens in a whooole different realm.

So she might be a 1000 years older, but from a different land. Landing a 1000 years into the past of the New Enchanted Forest events rather than the Land Without Magic. Making Gothel Mother Nature, surely, and a nymph, but not from our world, but a different land, and Seraphina a witch fromt hat world, as magic seems a weird talent in that earth as well.

Alright @felorteguimiguez since you wanted me to “reply” to your “constructive criticism” here we go. Buckle your seat belt, children, we’re going for a ride.

+ Honestly, this is ... not very good. the story turns Lila into a deceitful person for no reason, ingorando that his parents are probably negligent and that they are divorced (just look for the name of the mother of lilay and you will notice something in his last name), makes Marinette even more in a Mary Sue of what she already is and everything is summed up "to lie is bad, Marinette was right, Lila was wrong, all of Solciana and only Lila learns something in a *part 2 becuse i did not know the* limit bad way". There is no development in Marittene THAT STILL DOES NOT LEARN FROM THE VOLPINE EPISODE and everything that is solved magically. I like how Rose begins to suspect clear Remember, this is just a constructive criticism

In response to this post for those wondering

Alright, let’s get started because we have a lot to unpack here. 

So, you’ve told me that you’ve seen Catalyst, so my first question is did you watch it with your eyes open? It’s pretty bold of you to claim that I turned Lila into a “deceitful person for no reason” when in fact, canon did that from the moment she was introduced. Now, you argue that her parents are “probably negligent” or divorced because “look at her mom’s last name” or some shit, but let’s analyze this situation with our eyes open, mmkay?

Man, that mom sure gives no fucks about her daughter. Saying that she’s worried about all of these akumatizations and that she’s gonna try to do something about it so her daughter can feel safe and go back to school. I mean it’s really top notch parental negligence if you ask me.

Look how much apathy there is in the way she lovingly kisses her hair.

God, what selfish mom puts lunch in the fridge for their child so that they have something to eat while their parent has to be away? I mean, my loving mother just made me fix something myself when she had to work. What does she think Lila is so stupid she can’t fix herself a sandwich so she has to do it for her? The gall of that woman. 

In case you haven’t caught on, I’m being sarcastic. 

Cause I don’t buy into your idea that Lila is neglected because nothing in this scene supports that. Sure, her mom might be busy with work, but she clearly pays attention to Lila and does her best to take care of her, Lila is just really good at lying hence why she has gotten away with her shit for so long. Which truthfully, her whole situation doesn’t make sense because how in the hell has she gotten away with not going to school for several months? Especially if the principal has been trying to contact them and been unsuccessful? I’ll tell you why: 

You bring up her mother’s last name, but I invite you do to your research before spouting ignorance.

Her mother doesn’t have a name. The animators just got lazy and reused a character model. So, no, you can’t prove that her parents are divorced just because we don’t see her dad and her mom has a “different last name.” We don’t see a lot of people’s parents in this show. Does that mean that Rose doesn’t have parents? Or Nino? Nathaniel? Kim? Max? Marc? Is everyone just an orphan just because their parents don’t appear on screen? Do people only exist when you can see them? 

Also I invite you to read this analysis on why the term Mary Sue is bullshit, and then I encourage you to remove it from your vocabulary. And if we’re going to complain about Marinette “not getting development” since Volpina umm

Let’s take a look at what Marinette says in this scene in Frozer, shall we?

“Actually, girls I don’t think I want to cancel. Adrien really needs me, and if he wants my advice then why not? Afterall, it’s not an issue, and I’m definitely not jealous because there’s nothing between us.”

What lesson are you referring here to that Marinette hasn’t learned since Volpina? Jealousy certainly isn’t an issue anymore. So are you referring to her not being fond of liars? As if that’s somehow a lesson that she should learn? What lesson has she not learned since Volpina? She tried to apologize to Lila for yelling at her, but Lila refused to forgive her. Marinette is constantly apologizing for things that aren’t even her fault and taking the blame for things and learning lessons for other people. ALWAYS. 

And she is the furthest thing from perfect. She gets hot-headed, she lashes out, she says things on impulse, time and time again she makes mistakes and then tries to fix them. God forbid someone else have to learn a lesson for once. Because, yes, Lila should learn to stop lying. She should have to tell the truth because her lies have reached an unhealthy level. She has literally locked herself in her house for months, lying to her mother about the school being closed, lying to her classmates and saying that she’s traveling, and for what? Canon never expresses a logical reason other than “she hates Ladybug.” 

So does that make Marinette a “Mary Sue” just because she’s good at some stuff? And by some stuff I mean, video games and sewing? Because that’s kind of the only things that she’s been canonically shown to be good at? Oh no, god forbid that a character have hobbies. Honestly, if you’re going to criticize Marinette for being good a two whole things, maybe we should take some shots at Adrien for being good at l i t e r a l l y everything. Fencing, Chinese, basketball, lacrosse, piano, physics, poetry, being an oblivious fucking idiot. (I say that with love, Adrien) I guess I’m just a little confused as to what classifies Marinette as a “Mary Sue.”

I also find it bold of you to point out that “everything gets fixed magically” when that is literally the e n t i r e  f u c k i n g  p r e m i s e of this show. You know how much shit gets glossed over in this show for the sake of time? The post you are “constructively critiquing” was literally a thought that I had this morning that I decided to type up and post. It isn’t 100% fleshed out. It lacks a lot of details that would get added in later if I decided to write it, which since you like it so much, I might just fucking write it. It wasn’t meant to be some holy grail of writing meant to solve all of the world’s problems, it was literally just a casual idea that came to me. God forbid I post my fanfic ideas on my fanfic blog.

Just a bit of life advice, but generally speaking, unless someone asks you for criticism then keep it to yourself. If someone is just out here trying to have a good time then let them have a good time. as this pandemic continues in all around the world because of the novel coronavirus (COVID19), countries are forced to take drastic measures to prevent the further spreading of the virus, countries like China the United States Italy the United Kingdom and of course Iraq

most of these countries started applying curfews and total shutdown of most institutes from schools and colleges to sports event and movies and music.

and also Quarantine

where people must remain in their houses and never leave unless its for food or an emergency.

like in Italy where people cant leave their apartments or go to the rooftops.

streets and alleies are empty and people are forced to stay in their houses no matter what,

where now you feel like you are a prisoner in your own home, trapped with everyone you know and things you own and suddenly your large 5 bedrooms house start to feel like a prison sell and your 1 bedroom apartment starts to feel like a broken elevator and you are trapped in it with nowhere to go in between floors.

what you can do now is limited by what you have as entertainment and what ways you can make that time goes by fast or make the most out of it.

most people in these countries have internet and great cellular network, and other forms of entertainment.

they can work from home and still make a living.

they can watch anything or read anything online.

they can buy things and have them delivered online.

they can watch youtube and post videos and pictures online.

and they can take classes and study

Yes you heard me right, the electricity is off as it does not work, you cant see, you cant have AC or heat, you cant turn on the fan or tv. and the fridge will not give you cold water. and also means that the internet will go off as well becuse the network is heavenly a dependent on the electricity.

the loseing of electricity. so we have backup generators to help us in the hours where the main grid is down. but we dont really have anything to backup the internet or support it,

in most days its fine, both the electricity and the internet are relatively fine, but now as most of the population of Iraq are staying at home and consuming a lot of energy, there is a heavy load on the network, we are straining the grid and stretching it thin, thinner than it already is.

and if suffer more from this pandemic as the summer is coming and we have to deal with the heat (123f-50°c) through out 6 months, Im afraid that the network will collapse and we wouldn't be abale to properly fix it and maintain it and times like these.

what I do most of the times when both the internet and electricity cuf off is

I write a lot, like Im doing right now

and I read a lot

I go on the roof as most houses here have rooftops you can breath and gaze on the sunsets or sunrise

I can clean the house and do what I can to prevent this virus from further spreading

I can workout and train and make most of my time productive.

I can wash dishes.

and other things to keep me busy if I already done most of my routine.

but that is speaking about me strictly, here in Basra people cant really just accept that they need to be quarantined because of a virus, so they break it and they walk in the town and they shop in crowded markets that are unsanitized and unsanitary, and you have to forgive them because of what they suffered throughout the years and how much they know death and how they are not afraid of it, not yet at least.
