SERIOUSLY THOUGH

why does he have an unusable staff?? (everything about his arc is so meticulously planned & symbolic that bifrost always felt a little odd, a little misplaced as a last minute piece of loot that the devs were sprinkling throughout the engame levels)

but then why bifrost of all staves? why not a S-rank lance or axe instead? he's kinda underwhelming gameplay/strength-wise as a boss, it'd be a perfect place to slap an overpowered weapon on him like sumeragi to inflate the difficulty.

BUT THEN YOU THINK ABOUT WHAT IT DOES

and literally his entire reason for existence for the last .... what, two-three decades? how some of the dead have a very close meaning to him.

and if anankos had remotely implied there was a way to bring them back as temptation (to your fantastic point about the DLC), there is literally nothing that he would not do to move heaven and earth to bring them back .....
