Every Part of me - Tom Holland smut
The one where you and Tom are ex-lovers
Warnings: smut, kinda dubcon? but maybe not really (Tom just steps in and makes sexual decisions without discussing previously with the reader, but she accepts it wholeheartedly), slight degradation (Tom calls the reader cockslut and greedy little whore and dumb little baby, but I think that’s it), face fucking that causes slight asphyxiation, breeding kink, rough sex, dirty talk, spanking and the likes
A/N: Day 2 of Kinktober! Today’s prompts were face fucking and breeding kink with Tom Holland. Hope you guys like it! And thanks for everyone who has sent me messages about my accident, I’m actually feeling a lot better, although still in huge pain.
Y/N’s P.O.V.
I knew he’d been watching ever since I stepped foot in the set. To be fair, I couldn’t say I wouldn’t do the same. It hadn’t been much over a month since we decided to call it quits, and despite knowing it was for the best, it didn’t change the fact that my body still felt perfectly tuned to him and his gaze, the way he’d lick his lips after his eyes caught mine. So I tried not to look, knowing it wouldn’t make much of a difference in the end.
At least my job was quick and easy and despite knowing he’d be around, we weren’t expected to be in a scene together. Still, two weeks felt fourteen days too long and the day before I was expected to leave, the exhaustion of being on the edge all the time had caught up with me. I was scared, constantly tense about the possibility that I’d find myself standing too close to him and one whiff of his cologne would make me lose all the control I was struggling to hold onto.
I couldn’t even predict what would happen, I just know it wouldn’t be good. Not for our intentions to stay away from each other. So that’s why when Anthony and Robert asked if I wanted to go out for drinks, to celebrate my last night on set, I politely refused, explaining how utterly drained of all energy I felt. Thankfully, they conceded, leaving me alone to sleep this last night before I could go back to the comfort of my own house. I guess the fact that they knew about our break up helped a bit. Robert had looked at me with kind eyes that let me know he was understanding of my situation.
Nonetheless, as soon as I got into my room, I grabbed a bottle of wine and unscrewed it, determined to finish it tonight. Perhaps the buzz would help me sleep, but what I needed the most, however, was a distraction, and since a night out with friends wasn’t possible, I decided to give myself a night of relaxation.
As I poured myself my first glass, I stripped down to nothing, leaving my clothes on the floor as I opted to put on one of the silk robes the hotel offered. Nothing says solo party like semi-nudity. Besides, I was planning on jumping in the tub any minute now.
My idea, however, was cut short by a strong knock on my bedroom’s door.
Raising an eyebrow, I approached the door cautiously. I wasn’t expecting anyone and I hadn’t even called for a meal yet. Another knock resonated and I sighed, quickening my step to open the door to the stranger.
“Tom.” The word came out more as a whisper than anything else. He, on the other hand,  didn’t say a word. Instead, his eyes gazed hauntingly into mine with an intensity I hadn’t ever seen before. “What are you doing here?” I asked when I felt enough courage to break the silence, but my voice came out weak and hesitant. I hated myself for that. I wanted to sound strong, enthusiastic, even. Not like someone who missed the weight of his body over mine.
The same thought must have been in his head because at last, his eyes broke our connection to travel the extent of my body. Self-conscious, I tried to better adjust the robe around me, hoping to hide more of my skin from his view.
It didn’t take a genius to see that he didn’t like that.
Tom’s P.O.V.
Seeing Y/N wearing only a robe, not even a foot away from me, after only dealing with memories of her scent, was too much and yet everything I needed at that moment. I could smell her now. That vanilla body wash she always took with her wherever she’d go, lilies and wine. I guess she’d been drinking.
Maybe that’s why her lips were so red.
I wanted to lick it off of her, kiss her until she lost all the air in her lungs, bite her luscious lips until they were red for a completely different reason.
I subconsciously licked mine, eyes still fixated on her mouth before looking down to admire the skin that was available for me to look at.
She fixed her robe, trying to hide more from me.
I didn’t like that.
Before I could even realize what I was doing, I was pushing her inside the room, slamming the door behind us. To every step I gave in her direction, she gave one to distance her body from mine, but I was having none of it. I quickened my movements until I was able to wrap an arm around her lower back and pull her to me, my lips immediately finding hers.
It was like heaven and hell all at once. God, I knew I’d missed her taste, but having it in my lips again, being able to explore the inside of her mouth with my tongue brought me such a powerful exhilaration that I felt like my knees would buckle at any second.
Still, I couldn’t separate myself from her. Not even when she tried to push me away, to end our kiss - no doubt struggling with the memories of that terrible night when we decided to call it quits. But I was done going through the same reel again and again. I didn’t want to remember her anymore. I wanted her right here, with me.
So I chased her away, making sure our lips stayed connected until she had nowhere to run anymore. Pressed up against the wall, I had all the control I’d been wanting over her now. So I deepened our kiss, burying one of my hands on her hair so I could force her head back to accept my eager tongue, and when I was finally able to do so, my other hand pulled on the string of her robe until it fell open and I had all of her body exposed to me.
“Tom…” She managed to gasp as she struggled against my hold on her, but I was having none of it.
“Shut up,” I warned her, already prying her lower lips open with my index and ring finger as I inserted my middle one on her weeping hole. “Fuck.” The chuckle that I gave held no humor, only a mocking tone that I hardly recognized as mine. “For someone who’s so resistant to my touch you sure are wet, sweetheart.”
Perhaps I was still angry at her. Maybe that’s why I felt this overwhelming need to be mean, to make sure that she did just what I wanted. Perhaps then she’d know how I’d felt ever since that night.
She stopped struggling then, accepting my invasion of her space as I took her mouth on mine again, pressing her against the wall as I fucked her with a single finger, before adding another and another.
I could feel her struggling to accept me, the thickness of the three digits stretching her open and I had to laugh. “I can see you haven’t been properly fucked since I was last inside this little pussy, huh?” I teased, and she only whined in response, moving her hips to thrust back against my hand. “Gotta prepare you, love…” Kissing her, I made sure to leave a few bruises on her neck when I left her lips, my fingers never stopping their movements inside of her. “Gotta make sure you’ll be able to accept my cock in here again.”
Maybe it was what I said, maybe it was the fact that I finally relented and started to rub on her clit with my thumb, but I had her cumming around me in seconds, making me grin darkly as I continued to fuck her through her orgasm.
“Such a dumb little baby, thinking you could leave me. Saying all of those things and leaving me to pick up the pieces of my heart. Well, let’s see how you speak now, with my cock in your mouth.”
I pushed her on her knees and immediately she was reaching out for my jeans, but I slapped her hands away. “You get what I give you, nothing more. Now sit back and wait for my cock like a good girl.”
The sight of her with her bottom lip sticking out, those cute puppy eyes appearing from under her eyelashes made my heart grow twice its size. How did I think I could live without her? How did she so easily give up on me, leaving me behind after one single fight?
The ambers of anger rose high again, and I grabbed her hair in my fist, pulling her to meet my erect member. “Suck it up, little whore.” I allowed her to do as she pleased for a little while, albeit keeping my grip on her hair, relishing in the feeling of her talented tongue and warm mouth. But the feeling of despair was still threatening to cut me open, and before long I pulled her away by her hair.
“Open your mouth,” I barked. “Leave it open. I’m gonna fuck your face.” She didn’t fight as I pulled her on my dick until her lips were touching my navel, my cock hitting the back of her throat.
Y/N’s P.O.V.
It took every bit of concentration I had to control my urge to gag around his cock, but I knew by the way he looked down at me that it was a battle I was destined to fail. He wanted me to hurt. He needed to see the tears in my eyes as he constricted my need for air, and I could allow him this release.
Despite our break-up, I still trusted him with my life.
So I relaxed against him, allowing him to do as he wished as he guided my movements through his grip in my hair, and I found some new appreciation by the way I was a sputtering, whiny mess, tears and spit running on my face just like he wished to see.
“Fuck yes,” he groaned, throwing his head back in pleasure. “Take it. Take this fucking cock like the greedy little whore you are for me.” I couldn’t even find it in myself to care about the degrading nature of his comments, not when they were making me so wet I could feel it dripping down my thighs.
We’d never fucked like this before, but god, were we missing out. I was so aroused by our activities that I couldn’t wait anymore, I needed another release soon. So one of my hands ended up between my legs, while the other rested on one of his thighs, just for support.
At first, he was so wrapped up in the pleasure I was giving him that he didn’t even notice, but when I moaned around his cock after a particular tug in my hair that made my finger slip inside of myself, he opened his eyes to look down at me, finding me halfway through an orgasm already.
“You’re such a cockslut, aren’t you? Already gave you an orgasm, but the second my cock is in your mouth, you need another one.” I obviously couldn’t answer, but he didn’t really want a response, from the way he pulled his dick from between my lips with a pop before pulling me up by my hair and dragging me to bed.
“You’re not gonna cum if it’s not me giving you the pleasure, sweetheart.” It was the first time in the night he called me by one of the pet names he used when we were still dating, and even if the tone was still slightly colder and bossier than I was used to, I felt myself melting at the memories that it brought me, leaving me putty in his hands.
He was then free to easily manipulate my body how he saw fit, which was on my hands and knees, my head pushed down against the hotel’s mattress. “Fuck, I missed this ass,” he commented just before slapping me hard, making me yelp. The sound must have entertained him because he did it again and again until I was shaking from the ardor and dripping down on the bed from arousal.
And then he pushed into me, releasing one of those breathless little moans that I loved to hear and that I’d missed so much, and it felt like I’d blacked out for a second. Having him inside of me was everything I had been dreaming of for the last couple of weeks, and now that I was struggling to accept his thickness, it felt like the only thing in my mind was Tom, how Tom’s hands felt as he rubbed them all over my back before wrapping my hair around them again, the feeling of his thighs hitting the back of mine, the sound of his balls slapping my clit with each powerful thrust he gave.
It was enough to have screaming out his name with zero regards for the other people on this hotel floor. “Fuck yes, baby, let them know who’s fucking you this good.” There was no way anyone staying close to us didn’t know, and I could only pray none of our co-stars would be around to tease us about it.
Suddenly, just when I was about to reach that peak again, he pulled out, easily manhandling me onto my bed as he held my ankles spread out for me. I moaned out loud when I felt him spit on my pussy before he pushed into me again, immediately getting back into the same rhythm as before.
“I want to see your face when you cum again,” he whispered hotly in my ear, making me whimper as I pulled him closer to me, my sensitive nipples rubbing against his chest. It didn’t take me long to get back to the same state as before, and the second he sucked on my earlobe, I came all around him, hearing him curse against my ear.
When I opened my eyes after calming down again, I realized he’d been waiting for me, predatory gaze glued on mine as he found a way to pound me even harder against the mattress, so roughly bumping against my uterus that it almost hurt.
“I’m gonna cum,” he suddenly announced, still looking deep into my eyes, and all of a sudden, I was shaken awake from my reverie by the realization that we’d been fucking raw this entire time. But before I could even come up with something to say about it, he beat me to it, adding, “I’m gonna cum inside of you. I’ll fuck a baby into you. This way you won’t be able to walk out on me ever again.”
Just as he oh-so-casually mentioned his plans for our future, I felt him spill into me for the first time, the warm feeling eliciting another small orgasm that left me trembling in his hands as he continued to softly thrust into me, like he didn’t want to leave and let any of his cum escape my pussy.
“I mean it,” he randomly interrupted my attempt to gather my breath, still panting himself, still very much nested inside of me. When I raised an eyebrow in question, he simply shook his head before leaning down to drop his body weight over mine, just like I’d been dreaming about. “I want you forever. I’m not letting you go again. Baby or no baby.”
Snorting, I hugged him to me, relishing on the smell of his cologne as I hid my face in the crook of his neck. “We still have a lot to talk about, Tom… but it’s safe to say that I feel the same way.”

A Thing About Silver (Part 1)
Tumblr media
Din Djarin x Reader x Cobb Vanth
Reader is really horny and Mando refuses to give into her prompts. She takes comfort from Cobb before returning to Din.
Warnings: Smut, cream pies, jealous!Mando, unprotected sex, fingering, oral sex, mentions of masturbation, dirty talk, degradation, rough sex. Minor psychological break, this turned out more fucked up than intended. Angst. Rejection.
...
You'd felt the sexual frustration for months now. And not just a couple. It was going on nine months. Nine! And stuffing your fingers up inside you in the dark of your bunk before Mando came into the room was far from satisfactory. The desperate and quick orgasms were becoming even less powerful, making you chase multiples only to find a lack luster completion. And recently you'd even resorted to when he was there. You'd listen for his quiet breathing and pray to all the gods that he was long since passed out.
It felt like your cunt hadn't stopped aching for months. The whole time you'd thrown flirty comments at Mando. At first he ignored them. But the things you said went from cute little flirts to filthy fucking language. Especially when he joined in, throwing random comments in it. You shiver every time you think of him saying ‘Now is not the time to stare at me so you can think of me in your bunk later.” You’d given him a naughty grin as he told you to hand him a tool on your other side while he worked on a panel inside the ship. His quips were getting better.
There was something about being in that little bo-dunk strip in the dessert that reminded you just how thirsty you were. What you wouldn't give to gulp down (not even his at this point) some thick cock.
Ugh. Even the thought made you internally cringe.
You were getting desperate.
And then the Marshall walked in.
Your heart stuttered automatically in your chest. Hard. Dirty thoughts of getting railed by not one, but two Mandalorians had your brain short circuiting. Oh, filth oozed from you.
And then he removed his helmet and you speed ran the five stages of grief. Just as acceptance rolled in, Mando demanded he 'take it off or that he would.' It was low and threatening and made you nearly lose your mind even thought his intent was murder and not some western style three-way. Nonetheless, it would steamroll your dreams nightly.
You didn't expect Vanth to charm you the way he had. You suppose it was his silver hair and pearly grin at work with your dry spell because normally you had a thing for mocha skin and soulful brown eyes.
Now, the deep ache had reached not just between your legs but deep in your belly. There was a monster hooked in your cervix and you needed something to beat it to death in there. Fuck were you getting desperate.
Almost an entire week of Vanth flirting with you and Mando barely acknowledging it. Like it didn't matter. Oh, did that make you boil. And here, celebrating back in the town for killing that godforsaken sand dragon, you were about to spill over. Especially when Vanth smirks at you from across the bar, a lift to one of his brows, questioning your next move.
You hadn't given him an inch on the mission. Not a smile or a blush. Just kept your mouth shut and glanced to Mando who'd plainly ignore it.
You didn't know if he didn't see Vanth as competition or if he just didn't care. You reach back for your drink on the bar, ready to throw one back in attempt to burn our the flames between your legs. A flash of silver catches your eye.
Glancing over, you see Mando striding over from the door.
"Room is ready. Go get some sleep. We leave early." He orders.
With liquid courage in your system, you glare at him and turn back to your drink. You motion for the bar keep to refill you. "Are you going to be joining me? Or are you going to leave me high and dry again?" You manage out the growl.
He stares at you in silence and you face him, giving a question lift to your eyebrows, a lack of anything other than blatant distaste in your features.
"You're drunk." He decides.
"Getting there." You snap and take a slow sip of your drink, eyeing the tinted visor on his face.
He watches as you twist your body toward Vanth again and lean against the bar. He's calmly watching the exchange between you both from across the loud room.
"Tell you what, you give me one good dance to the next song and I'll go back to the room with you right now." He doesn't budge.
"No," is his only answer. You shake your head and scoff.
"Fine," you reply.
"I'll leave you here if you're not up tomorrow at sunrise." He threatens. Honestly you're more surprised he's not mushing you back toward the ship as you speak.
"If you don't stop me, I'm going to dance with Vanth." He's quite once more. You allow your head to lazily loll back towards the Mandalorian. He's stiff as a board and so quiet you decide to continue with your liquid courage. "Tell me 'no' and I won't fuck him. Tell me you'll take me back to the room and bruise my cervix right now and I won't go seek him out to do it instead." Mando turns to look toward Vanth now. You see his fists tighten, the leather stretching tight across his knuckles.
"Say no," you prompt again. The air is filling with the bustle of the space around you but it stills between the three of you, like lightning about to hit. You straighten to your full height and step close, hovering within inches of his space. You lower your voice to honeyed whisper. "Take me back to the room, Din." His head twitches your way, but barely. "Use me like a whore. I just need to feel something. Something other than my own damn hands or my fucking pillow, please just say no." Give me hope.
He remains silent and watches Vanth. His body is turned towards you, but his head is directed at the Marshall. You wish you could get a read on him but for the life of you, you can't. He just remains silent.
Finger tips brush your arm, bare ones. You hadn't realized Vanth had slid across the small bar to your side. "Hey, sweetheart," he purrs down into your ear. You glance over at him. "You've got such a tense face, come dance with me, break loose of Mando." He urges with a wink and a grin.
He was hesitant to flirt with you at first, but the more he did it and the lack of either parties protest leave him gaining confidence. You and Mando were dancing around each other, gaging the reaction of the other. He never stepped in between. Even now you were watching him. He just remained silent and stared at Vanth. You wish you could read his mind, understand what the fuck is running through it.
After a long still moment you twist toward Vanth. "Are you going to be able to keep up, old man?" You reply. Surprise and excitement flash across his face as Mando's head now swivels at you.
"I help you take down a sand dragon and you think I can't handle a dance?" His hand returns to your arm. Hard finger tips trace feather-light down the sensitive underside of your arm and ghost over your wrist. Your heart stutters in your chest when he firmly intertwines your fingers and gives a gentle tug.
Still, the suit of armor doesn't say a word as you're dragged away. A pain fills you chest. You throw your drink back and drop the glass onto a near by table you pass. A new song comes on, more up beat and you push Mando out of your head as much as you can. You don't need the painof rejection dampening your mood. Not when your so close to getting your legs lifted to your shoulders.
Vanth can dance, you soon realize. He's gracefully zipping you around to the beat and you're actually having fun within a minute of starting. It's a fantastic distraction. And so are his hands.
They start up high, the middle of your back, barely touching you, clasped with yours. And by the third song, when there's a heard of bodies also moving around you, he starts to wander. The hand holding yours falls to your hip, pulling you flush against him. Your eyes dart for a moment. Beskar watches you from the bar still, now sitting. Watching.
"So, before I continue trying to coax you away," the voice in your ear startles you as you both sway to a slower tempo, "am I going to be shot with a blaster by Mando?"
It cracks a smile on your face and you giggle at the thought. "Not what you want to hear, but I've been throwing myself at him for months and not a damn thing's happened," you reply.
"Too bad he took the armor," he replies. Your eyes widened at the thought he was proposing. You sink against his chest, staring up into his crystal blue eyes.
"That might stir up some psychological issues for me, Vanth," you say with a flirty giggle. He grins.
"Damn, you've got the most stunning smile," he murmurs and suddenly his hand is coming up to cup your face and tuck your hair behind your ear.
More than anything you want it to be Mando touching you like that, telling you he loves your smile. It makes you ache. You do the only logical thing you can think of.
You push it deep down, bottling it up with the rest of your emotions.
Closing your eyes, you sink your face against his hand, lifting a hand from his chest to cup it against your face. When you open your eyes you are startled to find Mando standing behind him and let out a squeak.
"What?" You snap sourly as Vanth twists.
Mando's hand is clenched tightly at his side. "It's on the north side of the village."
"It's two places down from me," Vanth offers with a sugar sweet grin. "I'll make sure see gets back." That... that is the reaction you wanted Mando to have when Vanth flirted. Instead, now your twisted in the latter's arms.
Mando looks at you again, then heaves a sigh and leaves.
You fight the urge to follow him. Instead, you continue to dance with Vanth, pushing your hips into his and building up that urge you've been wrestling with for months.
It's the feel of his mouth pressing down on your neck. That's all it takes for you to throw credits down on the bar and drag him out. The moment the cool night air hits you, he's pressing you up against the side of the building and tasting you. There's teeth and tongue. Arousal is burning you up.
Vanth has you both shuffling around the side of the bar and against the side of it before he's sliding a hand into your underwear and you breathe a gasp of relief. You want to sob at the feeling of him filling your cunt so easily with two fingers. His face crumbles in delight.
"Fuck, look how wet you are," he groans. "Come on, let's go back to mine. I'll eat you out, okay?" He coaxes while rolling his fingers in and out of your sopping pussy slowly. Like your not bracing against the wall and rocking desperately onto his fingers. Like you aren't gasping for the dry air as you would be if you had ran a marathon. He'd barely touched you and it felt so kriffing good that there was a heat burning through you like no other.
The feel of his hand where you so desperately need it and his blunt promise to make you cum has you clamping tightly on his fingers. You mewl out a quiet please, so desperate for this not to stop. Nothing had felt so good in so long. You always had to rush and his fingers were thicker than yours, could reach better.
Thankfully he's so mesmerized by your reaction he keeps up his good work. It's not even ten seconds before heat fills your belly and your hands snatch his forearm, holding it in place and leaning your forehead on his shoulder. "C-close," you manage to warn when the palm of his hand pressed down on your clit.
His eyebrows shoot up as his other hand tilts your head back to look at your face. "Already? You poor thing. You're wound up tighter than a-" he doesn't get to finish his thought because you're fisting hands in his shirt when he fingers you slower, but pushes harder up into your front wall. You give a broken cry, tucking your head into your chest and pushing back onto his hand as you completely come undone.
It's the best orgasm you've had in months, leaving Vanth grinning down on you with dark eyes. Your legs wobble beneath you. "Oh, you poor thing. Mando's been edging you for far too long." He breathes before ghosting his mouth over your neck. Your head rolled back exposes it and you whimper as he presses his fingers a few more times into the spongy sweet spot inside.
Its only when someone stumbles loudly from the entrance of the bar that he drags his fingers out, leaving you aching and unbearably empty.
He pulls you into his side, and if anyone saw they'd probably call you drunk. Your a ragdoll from coming off your orgasm. It was hard to focus your eyes as he supports you. The both of you give soft chuckles in response.
"My place?" He prompts.
"Aye, Marshall." He steadies you before the two of you meander the short distance of the street. There aren't many buildings. Its more of a village than a town. No matter where you stood in it, you could see the edges. When you step up onto the front porch you turn to glance around, a flash of silver making itself known.
Silver? Mando. Two buildings down, the last one on this stretch, across the street sat the Mandalorian. The light glowed from the open door behind him, warm and inviting.
I wanna go home, the intrusive thought rang in your head. A pitifully small voice urging you to head down to the porch steps that Din perched, cleaning his rifle, on.
The post orgasm clarity was hitting you. You felt sleepy. Exhausted. You could head in, lay down beside the child and drift to sleep until your partner woke you and dragged you to the next planet. Sleep off the alcohol.
Din glances up, pausing and staring right at you. You step his way, hesitating at the end of Vanth's porch. The man behind you opened his door and turn toward you. But you were too caught up in Mando's reaction. He watched you.
Just tell me 'no', Din. You internally begged. If he'd so much as gestured you back to him you would leap from the porch and race back to him. Instead he went back to polishing the barrel.
Spite fills you and you turn toward Vanth. He gives you a gentle questioning gaze before gesturing you into the dark. You step through, feeling the heat of your anger rising again.
"Are you sure, sweetheart?" Is the words he speaks when the door closes. "Don't think I'm above sleeping with a woman so she can get her revenge. You can use me however your heart desires." He says, flipping the light on.
"Leave the light off and kiss me. Roughly. I'm angry." You admit. He raises a single brow before brushing his fingers over the light on the wall and turning it back off.
"Rough?" He rasps, striding forward to cup your face. "Can I cum in you?"
The question short circuits your brain, negating any anger or reason for your anger at the request. "Oh, fuck. Please?" You squeak and he grasps your face in his hands, bruising your lips with his. His mouth tastes like spotchka and his teeth are eager to bite.
He kisses over your jaw as his hands drop to drag your body back against his. He's an effective amnesia to your poor broken heart. His hands feel good as they tug at clothing. You don't quite register doing the same. Not when his teeth are nipping at your neck and speeding up your heart rate.
Dank ferrik, it felt good to grind your stimulated groin over his with less fabric in the way. You both gasp into the night.
You push away the guilt that nubbed up in your mind. No. He rejected you. Din rejected every advance. You had no reason to feel guilt.
Still it lingers in the corner. Watching through a tinted visor and looming.
Cobb tilts you back onto the bed, groaning deeply into your shoulder. "Do you want to cum again, first?"
"N-no, just, just put it in," you groan. "Just wanna feel full." It earns you a shaky groan of approval.
Without warning he grips your hips and flips you onto your stomach. A sharp smack lands on your ass, letting you moan softly. He sits upright, lining up with you in the dark.
You whimper when you feel his cock rub once over you before he's aligned. Then he sinks in and that delicious stretch has you gasping as he slides home. There is a drawn moment where you both soak up that initial cure of need. Then he sets a fast pace, drilling deeply.
A hand closes on the back of your neck, tightening.
"Are you enjoying this?" Din's modulated voice asks in your ear, mockingly. He's not actually there of course, only serving to piss you off more. Because you know how much better it'd feel if it was him splitting your ass in two.
You brace against the bed. Pushing back harder and moaning. It makes the hand twist around your throat and jerk you back against Cobb. The change in position makes you whimper. You reach back for hair, guiding his mouth to yours.
Cobb seems to understand that the roughness is urging him to kick up his own. His hand on you hip snatches one of your breasts to squeeze. You break away to whimper and catch more silver.
"Do you think I'll be here every time you fuck someone now?" The Din-Delusion taunts as he lounges on the pillows comfortably. You were definitely going to have a psychological break after this one night stand.
He's so annoying that even the delicious grunts that rise from your new lover is hard to focus on.
"Harder." You rasp. You're tossed to the bed as Vanth crawls across you.
"You can call his name if it makes you feel better," he rumbles as he sinks back into your cervix with a hard thrust. His fingers dig into your thighs.
"Call it out," Not-Din chuckles. "Cry my name loud enough I can hear it across the street. Maybe that'll spur me on." It's dripping with so much sarcasm as your head nearly knocks into his leg that isn't actually there.
"No," you snarl at the figment of your guilty conscience. You sink your teeth into his shoulder and cry out when his hips canter harder into you. You claw at his back, earning happy groans and him twitching inside you.
"Yeah, probably a better idea. If you call put my name I might think your in trouble and shoot the bastard."
"I'm gonna fuck you a-again. Cl-close."
"Cum in me, Vanth!" you cry louder than intended. His hand tangles roughly in your hair, exposing your throat to new assault. Fuck, you'll ache tomorrow, you hope.
"That's it, baby girl," Not-Din coos. "Louder, maybe that'll make me respect you enough to see you as more than just a kid. Maybe I'll see you in sexual manner."
Vanth's hips stutter as he spills inside of you. He pants against your neck for a moment and then draws back to flash you with a dazzling smile, even in the dark. "It'll take me a minute to recharge. Can I go down on you?"
It makes you blink in surprise, even Not-Din tilts his helmet with curiosity at the sweaty man on top of you.
"You... you just came in me though..." you protest weakly.
"So, it's mine." He drops down to snatch a nipple into his mouth, delighted.
You give a moan. "Ye-yeah, knock yourself out, Vanth." He drags you to the edge of the bed to throw your legs over his shoulders. It feels so lewd to have him lapping so hungerly at you while his own cum spilled out of you.
"Filthy girl, aren't you?" Din growls out, moving around behind Vanth to watch casually. Why did that turn you on? Having the Mandalorian watching as another man devoured you. You liked it, when the man between your legs moaned against your sex.
He was decent at it. Obviously doing it more for himself at this point than for you. But between the sexual frustration that had been building for months and the overstimulation, it wasn't taking very long to bring you to a second orgasm.
All the while Not-Din leaned back and watch, taunting you and mocking you. "You really said let's throw it all away for a fuck." That line got you.
Vanth was lapping at your oversensitive clit, pulling the hood back and relishing the sobs of pleasure. But it wasn't just a sob of pleasure. Tears rolled over your temples and into your hair as your legs quake. Your chest ached as you begged him not to stop, hoping another orgasm might drown out the despair that this wasn't the man you wanted.
He was a poor substitute to reconcile your hurt feelings. You regret it already, as you knew you would. But that doesn't stop you from screwing him for a few more hours.
Eventually all is quiet, the both of you lying in the dark, catching your breath and coming down from your highs. And you watched as the vision of Din faded, feeling more empty now than you had before. "Thanks," you murmur into the dark and sit up before exhaustion fully takes you.
"Hey," he calls into the dark, the only light trickling in from the port window. "I know heart break is absolutely soul crushing, but there will be others. I promise. Someday it won't hurt so bad." You flinch when a hand brushes down your spine.
Self hatred seeped from you with the finishings Cobb left in you. "I'm gonna go," you manage, standing on sore legs to collect your clothes.
"Alright."
There's nothing but the shuffle of clothes as you get dressed. That was the last thing either of you spoke to each other before you stepped out onto the porch and into the cool night air.

Getting Off Scott-Free
Pairs: Scott Lang x Reader
Words: 1954
Summary: After a long day of work, you get home to find that Scott is hiding something from you.
Warnings: None that I can think of
Notes: Left completely gender-neutral. Writing for Scott was hella fun, he is a huge goof. I knew I would like it but didn’t think I would enjoy it this much.
I am wanting to challenge myself by using the same prompt with different fandoms and try to make it as unique as possible.
I found this writing prompt @witterprompts and went with it. The original prompt is below.
“Against my better judgment, I've decided to keep you around.”
    Dating Scott Lang was an interesting experience. He could be a dummy but in the best way possible. You met Scott when he came to your place of work, trying to apply for a job. The thing was Scott completely botched his interview because he was too busy trying to impress you. He made you laugh, and he was attractive. So when he got denied the job because of his silly behavior, you asked him out to make up for it. During that date, you both hit it off and continued seeing each other. Your life had become more eventful and fun since Scott had walked into it.  After dating him for a few months and getting to know Scott, you asked him to move in. He agreed. It may have seemed quick, but he was sweet. You’d also be lying if you said you weren’t motivated by the fact that Scott living with you put him one step closer to being able to see Cassie. You had grown to love Scott, so it was a win-win situation.
When Scott became Ant-Man, you didn’t know right away. However, it didn’t take long for Scott to tell you. He tried to hide it, but he was terrible about lying about this kind of thing to people he was close to. It was a shock that a goof like Scott had become a superhero, but he was doing good. Scott helped with that whole situation with Pym Tech, and he enjoyed it. So you were fine with it and helped keep his secret.
It had been a long day at work. You were tired and looking forward to going home and relaxing. You pulled into your driveway. Parking the car before grabbing your work bag and leaving the vehicle. As you walk up to the door, you pull out your keys. You unlock the door before stepping in. It was quiet for a second. As soon as you closed the door behind you, Scott practically skids down the hallway. He comes around the corner to greet you, “Hey there, today has been totally uneventful and completely boring.” Scott glance to the side. He was talking so fast it was suspicious.
    On top of that, now that you had a chance to get a good look at Scott, you could see what he was wearing. Scott had on a robe and looked disheveled, that wasn’t unusual. It was the fact that he had tried to cover up the clothes he usually wore under the Ant-Man suit with the robe. You make a face at him, “Sure it was…” You try to walk around him, only for Scott to start herding you into the kitchen. You cross your arms, “I want to go change my clothes.” Scott laughs and grabs your hand, dragging you into the kitchen. Scott starts talking again, “Why would you want to change? You look amazing in those clothes?” When you’re both standing in the kitchen, you try to question Scott. He interrupts you, “You must be starving, I know I am. Come on, let’s have dinner.” Scott smiles at you as he backs up, using his body to block the doorway. You huff, getting frustrated, “What are you doing?” Typically his odd behavior was cute. You didn’t mind messing around. But you were tired and at least wanted to get out of these clothes. Scott keeps glancing behind him, down the hall towards the bedroom. “Let’s make dinner together when was the last time we did that?” Scott pauses before looking back at you, “Why don’t we to that anymore?” You find yourself chuckling as you roll your eyes, “Cause the last meal we cooked together ended up ruined because we got distracted ‘fooling around.’ ” Scott makes an exaggerated ‘sexy’ face walking towards you. He wiggles his eyebrows at you as he talks, “Again I ask, Why don’t we do that anymore?” When Scott reaches you, his hands go right to your ass. He squeezes both handfuls of your ass, “Honk, Honk.”
    You try to keep a serious look on your face. It doesn't take long for you to easily crack a smile. Trying not to be distracted, you avoid looking at Scott’s face. As an extra measure, you cross your arms to help keep some distance between you and him. Scott, however, is persistent and starts giving you rabid kisses all over your face. You wiggle around as you begin to chuckle. Finally giving in you wrap your arms around Scott’s neck and give him a kiss on the lips. Scott gives your rear another squeeze, “If I didn’t know any better, I would think you have the hots for me.” You chuckle and tease, “You wish.” You kiss Scott again. When Scott starts kissing you back, you get an idea. You let yourself enjoying making out with Scott for a few minutes. Once you can’t stand the feeling of being in your work clothes any longer, you put your plan into motion. As you keep kissing Scott, you slowly rotate the two of you. Until your the one who has your back to the doorway. You break the kiss. Scott immediately starts pouting, “Hey…” You chuckle and back up a little. You wink at Scott, “Can you close your eyes while I get more comfortable?” A huge grin slides onto Scott’s face. He rapidly nods before closing his eyes.
    You didn’t know how long Scott would actually keep his eyes closed. So you quietly exited the kitchen. As you make your way down the hallway, you keep an eye out for whatever Scott was trying to hide from you. About halfway down the hall, you hear Scott in the kitchen, “Tricking me like that is against the Geneva Convention, you know.” You call back over your shoulder, “It is not.” You hear Scott coming up behind you as he talks, “Well, its at least illegal. Paxton will totally back me up on that.” You laugh reaching your bedroom door, “I’ll be sure to ask him the next time he and Maggie drop Cassie off.” Scott grabs your arm and tries to worm his way in between you and the bedroom door. You gently push him aside. Scott gives up, getting a guilty look on his face, “Don’t be mad, okay?” You give him a look as you grab your doorknob, “Why would I…” Before you could finish your question, you get your answer. The door immediately falls into your bedroom, revealing what Scott was trying to hide.
Your bedroom door was no longer attached to the wall. Parts of the door frame were still attached to the hinges of the door. As soon as you let go of the doorknob, the door falls on to the bedroom floor. That wasn’t the only thing. The bedroom wall right across from the entrance has a huge chunk of wall missing. This was the last thing you wanted to come home to. You were at a loss for words. You step over the broken door and try to see if anything else was broken. Luckily it seems just the door and hole in the wall were the only issues. It had been a long day. You were too tired to deal with this right now. Scott stays right outside the room, watching you. You turn to look to glare at him, not saying anything. Scott holds his hands up in surrender, “I can fix it” Scott looks at the hole in the wall, “Probably…” He gives you an unsure smile.  You just start heading into the bathroom, leaving a trail of dirty clothes behind you.
The shower gave you some time to relax. You cleaned yourself off. Then stayed under the water for a little while longer to let the hot water keep pelting you. When the water started to turn cold, you ended your shower. Wrapping a towel around your body, you stepped out of the shower. As you walked into the bedroom, you noticed your trail of dirty clothes was gone. Before you could think about that too much, you saw something else. There were chunks of the wall all over the floor, including wall dust covering everything nearby. Which would have included your bed, but the sheets were missing. You walk over to your dresser and start pulling out clothes. After changing into comfortable clothes, you go to look for Scott.
    You don’t have to look far. Scott is still standing right outside your door, looking like a sad puppy. You weren't exactly mad at him, more annoyed than anything. You sigh, “Where did you put our sheets?” Scott motions, “In the dyer, I wanted to try to get them washed before you got back home… I put your clothes in the washer too.” Scott gives you a small smile. He was trying so hard you couldn’t stay upset with him. You finally smile back at him. Scott perks up when he sees you are officially not mad at him. You look around at the damage, trying to figure out how to fix it. You look back up to Scott, “So what happened?” Scott chuckles and rubs the back of his neck, “Well, see… I was doing some practice runs in the Ant-Man suit and…” Scott shifts on his feet and avoids eye contact, “I may or may not have gotten distracted and ended up taking out the door when I sized up, and then I couldn’t slow down and took out the wall.” Scott smiles at you and shrugs, “But you got no real proof I did anything.” You start laughing, “Why did you need to practice here?” Scott thinks for a second, “Well… I like it here, and I need to stay on top of my game?” Scott says it more as a question than an answer. You shake your head as you chuckle, “Let’s set something up in the basement… So more of the walls don’t get broken.” You grab the door off the ground and drag it into the hallway.
    You sit down and start picking up the bigger pieces of the wall off the ground. Scott joins you. As he picks up a few pieces, he asks, “So… You’re not going to kick me out or anything?” You decide to tease him, “Well, I’ve been thinking…” You look up at Scott. Scott looks a bit worried. You wink at him to show him your teasing, “Against my better judgment, I've decided to keep you around.” Scott lets out a dramatic sigh of relief, “Thank goodness… I don't know if anyone else would tolerate me.” You laugh as you finish getting all the pieces of rubble into a pile, “Welp, I more than just tolerate you. I love you.” Scott stands up, bringing back a trash bag, “You love me.” Scott says it in a sing-song teasing tone. You roll your eyes, chuckling, “I know, how silly of me to love you.” Scott holds open the trash bag, “Might be a shock to you, but I love you too.” You start to put the wall chunks in the trash, “I would have never guessed.” You chuckle as you go back to cleaning up. Once all the rubble is in the garbage, you stand up, “We just need to get that hole patched before this weekend so Cassie can come over.” Scott nods looking at the hole in the wall, “Where to start?” You think for a second, looking over the damage. You look down at the dust-covered floor, “Think the ants could at least help us finish cleaning up?” Scott grins and runs to the closet, shouting over his shoulder. “As long as you don’t tell Pym.”

dirty secrets, d.d.
words: 2213
prompt: alcohol gives you a big mouth, especially when it comes to confessing to David your deepest desires.
disclaimer: smutty smut. desperate.
The music was playing loud and the neon signs were the only source of light besides the moonlight in David’s yard. It’s been a while since we had a party at David’s and not some random club, so this was nice.
Same protocol: Zane absolutely shit-faced, closely followed by a shirtless dancing Heath. Scotty, Todd and Jeff being loud, laughing, drinking. People were dancing in and out of the house. David was filming, as usual, but unlike other parties he had a couple of drinks.
I was heavily drunk, grabbing onto Natalie while we danced to pop songs, singing our hearts out. We were joined by Carly and Erin, making a whole circle of girls dancing. Soon enough, David appeared out of nowhere and captured our fun. After taking a couple of shots, David was satisfied.
“This was great, you guys looked incredible,” He commented, laughing and checking the footage, but I don’t think any of the girls actually heard him but me. The music was way too loud and we were all too drunk to pay attention to anything.
I was needing another drink, not wanting the high from the alcohol to dissipate. Not thinking further, I grabbed David’s hand and pulled him to the kitchen, laughing.
“What?! (Y/N), what are you doing?” David followed me, slightly confused, but mostly curious.
“Come oooon, Dobrik! Let’s have one drink together, you only drink with the guys.” I walked around the kitchen center to grab two cups and make us a drink. “I think after all we’ve been through I deserve one drink with you, don’t you think?”
David laughed and fixed his messy and slightly sweaty brown hair. “Look at you emotionally blackmailing me for a drink.” He leaned in over the balcony, watching me.
“Is it working?” I looked at him with a sassy grin on my lips.
“Yes.” We bought laughed immediately.
“Good.” I hand him his cup. He looks inside and then at me. “Don’t worry, I know your levels of lightweight, it’s not strong.”
David smiled and lifted his cup to make a toast. “To friends who blackmail you into doing crazy things,”
I raised my cup to touch his. “Cheers,” I laughed and we both drank.
Something about David always intrigued me. I did find him really attractive, but even after him and Liza broke up, he always felt unreachable. Even with all the jokes in the vlogs about having sex with Todd or Jeff, I never actually did anything with any of my friends, not wanting to ruin something good.
But tonight… The alcohol changed my mind.
“You should grab your camera and ask me anything,” I laughed at David after drinking a little bit. “I’m so drunk I’ll probably answer all your juicy questions.”
A spark of an idea shined through his brown eyes. I could hear the gears turning inside his brain. Didn’t take more than a second for him to turn the Canon on and point it at me.
“So, you’ll answer any juicy questions?” David smiled at me.
“Wow, that has to be the quickest you’d ever turned that camera on,” I laughed and sat up on the counter. “Sure, hit me. I’m way too drunk to care.” I smiled to the camera and raised my cup.
“Great, okay.” David stopped for a second to think of a good question. “Have you ever slept with Todd?”
I choked on my drink, laughing. “Wasting no time, are you? Uh… No, I did not. Not by lack of opportunity, may I add, but because I didn’t really want to.”
“Why not?” David was confused. “Don’t you find him attractive?”
“Of course I find him attractive! Have you looked at his face lately?” I pointed out of the house, laughing. “I just didn’t really want to risk it being awkward. I don’t know…” I shrugged.
David accepted my answer. “What about Jeff?”
“What about him?” You were distracted swirling the liquid in your cup. “Oh, no I have not slept with him but yes I do find him very very hot.” I did emphasize my words a little bit.
David was focused on the viewfinder of his camera, “Would you sleep with Corinna?”
I looked up at him immediately, laughing. “What the fuck David!” He laughed with me. “Of course I would, are you kidding me? I love her so much.”
David stopped for a second and looked at me over the camera, stunned by my answer. “Really?”
“Yeah! I’m not usually into girls but Corinna just gets to me, I don’t know.” I shrugged again, looking away, thinking. “You could join us if you want.” I looked at him and he choked.
“What?!” He started laughing, nervously.
I finished my whole drink at once, jumping off the counter. “You heard me.” I laughed, fixing my hair and biting my bottom lip. I was so drunk. “It would be fun. Besides, the main reason I wouldn’t really have sex with any of our friends is because deep down you’re the one I wanted to get down on.”
I basically stated that to myself, not to David. I would’ve never told him something like that with a sober mind, for sure.
“You know what’s so funny about it? You’re so clueless!” I laughed to myself. “All the jokes you make about me fucking Todd or Jeff… And you wouldn’t even notice all the times I kept staring at you. Really, I think I lost count of all the times I’ve imagined fucking your brains out.”
I didn’t even noticed the fact that the camera was pointed to the ground and David was just blatantly staring at me, mouth open, shocked. He looked back at the yard and everybody was outside dancing or talking, not one soul inside the house. With a mindless motion, he turned off the recording and put the camera on the counter.
“I mean… Sober me is subtle, sure. I would touch you every chance I’d get, without it turning into something creepy, of course. It was torture, really, when I would rather just suck your…”
In less than a second, David took me by the neck and kissed me desperately. That was completely unexpected, since David never showed any kind of attraction towards me before. His lips were soft on mine, but his desire was a flame rising. David entwined his fingers in my hair, pulling me closer to his body, pressing me against the counter. Soon enough, he stopped the kiss, staring back at me, scared. “I’m sorry… I… shouldn’t have…”
I touched his face with both of my hands and kissed him again, shutting him up. It was just as desperate, dangerous. We knew if anyone saw us, hell would break loose. I stopped the kiss for a second, barely even opening my eyes. “Take me out of here.” I whispered.
David gave a quick glance back to the yard, grabbed my hand and we ran towards his room. The second I got inside, he closed the door and locked. I couldn’t wait any longer, so I pushed him against the door, kissing him again. My hands were in his hair, bringing him to me. I licked his lips, he opened his mouth to me as we intensified the kiss.
His hands were all over my body, feeling me, pulling me closer. We took a few steps into the room together, but quickly he managed to press me against the wall. Taking one of my legs up, pressing more of his body on me, making sure I was feeling how hard he was already. Our tongues were hungry for each other, we wouldn’t stop kissing if our lives depended on it.
I reached for his hoodie and took it off of him, then I got my crop top off, giving him a full view of my black-lace bra. David took a moment to look at my boobs, taking a deep breath. “Fuck, they’re perfect.” Before I could even say anything, he took one in his hand and started kissing the other. I managed to open my bra for him, earning a satisfied moan when there was no more fabric in the way of him and my boobs. Licking and even biting, he was having the time of his life.
I took the opportunity to feel him over his black jeans, rock hard. I opened his pants, taking him out, stroking and feeling his cock in my hand. He moaned as I would start jerking him off a little faster. “Let me have some fun too”.
Looking at me for a second, I bit his lower lip. Took his hand on mine and walked over to his bed. I kneeled in front of him, taking down his pants and underwear. “You have no idea how many times I’ve wanted to do this.” I told him, right before licking his shaft from bottom to top, taking the tip on my lips and pressing softly against it.
“Holy fuck, (Y/N),” David took my hair into a messy ponytail and kept staring at me, standing tall in front of me. I took him all in and slowly took him out of my mouth. “Oh fuck, god. You’re so good… Fuck me, this is… fuck.”
Not even able to form full sentences, I looked up at him, loving all of his expressions of  pleasure, trying so hard to keep it together. He tried to keep his eyes open to look at me, shirtless, sucking his dick, but the whole sensations from it was too much. “Holy shit… Stop, stop stop stop… Or I’m gonna… fuck”
The struggle in his voice was making me so wet. David helped me get up and pulled me to another kiss, but a harder one this time. Still kissing me, he put me in bed, took his pants off completely and then his black t-shirt. Leaning over me, he took my jeans and panties off, quickly looking into his drawer for a condom. He opened the package with his mouth, skillfully sliding it through his dick. He made his way over in the bed, being on top of me. I took his necklace in my hand and pulled him closer to kiss me again.
He took the opportunity to feel me. “Oh my god, you’re so wet,” David sighed between kisses, sliding his fingers through my clit. He pushed two fingers inside of me, making me moan, then focused his kisses on my jawline and then my neck. “You’re so fucking hot,”
“David… Oh god,” I pulled his hair. His fingers inside of me were making me insane, but I wanted more. “I want you to fuck me, hard. David, please.”
He looked back at me, taking his fingers off of me and giving me to suck on them, which I did, immediately. He growled to the sight of me sucking his fingers, taking a deep breath to control himself not to cum right there. “Say it again…”
“Fuck me, David. I want you inside of me,” I said, giving his fingers one last lick.
Not wasting another second, he adjusted himself into my entrance and slid right in, one shot. I closed my eyes, moaning his name. “(Y/N), look at me, don’t close your eyes.” David said, as he started pounding into me, going harder and harder, gradually. Just the feeling of him inside of me, his sweaty messy hair, his lips swollen and the hungry way he would look at me, was too much to handle. I kept moaning his name, he started kissing and biting my neck, whispering curses of pleasure.
It didn’t take long for both of us, so desperate and frantic, to finish off. I came first, hard, moaning his name loud. He started to thrust faster, quickly reaching his orgasm too, riding it off with slower thrusts.
Completely exhausted, David lied on top of me for a second. I closed my eyes, but caressed his hair with one of my hands, while the other one would softly run all over his back. He let out a soft moan, liking that.
Soon enough, he got up, took out the condom and came back to bed, pulling me close and holding tight. Kissing my shoulder softly, then kissing my lips a couple of times. After a second, David laughed.
“What?” I wondered, looking at him and caressing his hair.
“You said you lost count of all the times you’ve imagined fucking my brains out,” David mentioned, looking back at me. “If you only knew how many boners I had to hide when you were around and did simple things like biting or licking your lips, or when you wore that goddamn blue summer dress.”
That took me by surprise. “Oh? Well… I still have that dress.” You bit your lower lip, shrugging.
“Fuck, okay, don’t say that. You’ll make me hard again.” David laughed and hid his face on my shoulder.
Before I could say anything, we heard loud thumps to David’s door. We froze.
“David?!” Someone yelled, seemed to be Natalie. “Are you in there?” We heard some random mumbling. “Have you seen (Y/N)? We can’t find her anywhere!”
We looked at each other. Fuck. How the hell are we gonna get out of this one?

idk if someone send you that request but it obviously matches Armin: 43, 42 & 52
42. “Just let me finish this/this level and I swear I’ll go down on you until you cum at least three times.” & 43. “If I have to stop what I’m doing, you won’t be able to walk for the next week.” & 52. “I’m not jealous! It’s just…you’re mine!”
I’m sorry honey this took me only what… four/five months? 😅 hope it was worth the wait.
I needed something quick and dirty with UL Armin and I remembered this prompt request. I know there’s probably only 3 people here who may be interested in this, so @itsmymindspeaking and @fuckyalllifes this is for us 😂
.
I chugged my drink in one go, a little dizziness coming to my head. I had spent good part of the night drinking and I was feeling just a little tipsy. It wasn’t like I was bored, I was out with my friends after all, but I wasn’t having the time of my life either.
I looked at Alexy and Morgan kissing passionately without a care in the world, and then at Rosa and Leigh, looking at each other with a complicity that anyone would’ve envied.
Then I looked at the empty seat right next to me.
“Is everything all right, Candy?” Rosa asked, sensing my discomfort. “It’s about Armin, isn’t it? Where is he, anyway? It feels like I haven’t seen him in ages.”
“Where do you think?” I replied without managing to hide the annoyance from my voice. “In his dorm room of course. He’s been holed up in there since the beginning of spring break.”
“Wait… he’s not… no it can’t be… is he spending the holidays playing video games 24/7?”
“Of course he is!” Alexy replied before I’d time to say anything. He must’ve caught our conversation between one kiss and the next. “Yesterday morning I left him sitting in front of the tv playing that stupid co-op game he likes so much, and that’s exactly where I found him this evening before we came here. I’m not even surprised, I gave up on him years ago.” He turned back in his seat, looking at Morgan adoringly. “Luckily, I don’t have to suffer through the night because of his constant jabbering with his geek friends, I’ve found a more comfortable accommodation. If I’m kept up all night is for completely different and more pleasurable reasons.”
After those words he started kissing Morgan again, abandoning the rest of the conversation.
“Well,” Rosa went on, “this isn’t right. You can’t let him take you for granted, Candy. Do something!”
“Like what?”
“I don’t know… try to make him jealous.”
“Ha! You know that won’t work. He’s the least possessive person on the face of the Earth.” I replied a little defeated.
“Then remind him what he’s missing out on by spending the whole time in front of a screen instead of his girlfriend!”
“Meaning? You know that I won’t be able to tempt him with a date. The times we go out, he does it just to please me, if it were for him we would spend the whole day in his room playing games. And don’t get me wrong, I love playing with him, it’s just that sometimes I need more, like…” I hesitated, “I don’t know, I feel like a spoiled child just saying this but… sometimes I just want his undivided attention.”
“Then take it!”
“How?”
She looked at me like I was stupid.
“You’re a woman, it’s not that hard to figure out. Do I need to check your underwear like in high school?”
“There’s no need. But… are you suggesting using my body to beg him for attention? Isn’t it a little too desperate?” I asked biting my lip nervously.
“Aren’t you? Desperate?” she replied ironically. “Look, it’s not that big of deal, really. Even I… you know how Leigh can get sometimes,” she looked at him queuing at the bar to get us a refill. “He’s so passionate about his work. Sometimes I need to remind him to take a break,” she laughed.
“Mmm…” I replied evasively. Her words weren’t completely unreasonable. I was a strong, modern woman, if I wanted something, I just had to take it. I’m a woman hear me roar and all that…
Maybe… maybe it wasn’t such a bad idea after all.
 “Be careful…  On your right! No! Fuck! It’s a grenade!”
I was leaning against the doorframe as I stared at my boyfriend, willing him to take notice of me. He was sitting down on the floor, back against the bed, wearing only his boxer shorts and a t-shirt. Controller in his hands, his eyes fixed on the big screen in front of him. I could hear the muffled voices of his teammates coming from the headphones he was wearing.
I’d let myself in thanks to my spare keys ten minutes ago, and since then I’d been waiting for him to strike a conversation with me. A distracted “Hi babe,” was everything that I’d gotten so far.
I thought again about Rosa’s suggestion. Was I really going to do this? Yes, yes I was. It was time to send the message through.
I started from my shoes, removing one at the time, then it was my t-shirt’s turn. I thought it was going to take longer for him to take notice of what was going on, but he must’ve caught the garment dropping to the floor with the corner of his eye, because he sent me a quick glance, surprised, and asked, “what are you doing, babe?”
“Just making myself comfortable,” I replied, as my hands went to the zip of my jeans.
I continued undressing seemingly without a care in the world, and he kept playing, but I could tell he wasn’t as focused as he’d been before. He kept throwing quick glances my way whenever he had a chance.
Soon enough I was left in just my underwear, but I didn’t stop, and went for the clasp of my bra.
“Fuck!” he cried out, he’d clearly messed up something in the game the moment my bra had come off and he’d stared at my breasts one second too long. I could hear irate voices coming from his headphones. “Just let me finish this level and I swear I’ll go down on you until you cum at least three times,” he said in an almost pleading voice.
I simply shook my head as with slow, calculating movements, I slipped my fingers under the hem of my panties and let them fall to the floor.
A horse groan came directly from his throat. “If I have to stop what I’m doing, you won’t be able to walk for the next week.” He tried to sound authoritative, failing miserably. “Please…”
“Keep playing, Armin.” I said walking towards him.
Without giving him any time to realise what I was about to do, I kneeled on the floor and forced my way between his arms, straddling him.
“Candy,” he cried out a little panicked, his hands almost losing their grip on the controller, “what…”
“Shhh…” I whispered in his ear. “Keep playing, not a sound, otherwise your friends are going to figure out something is going on.”
After these words, I started languidly kissing his neck. From the stiffness of his body, around which I was completely enveloped, I knew he was shocked and didn’t know exactly what to do. His shallow breaths were also an indication of his nervousness, and if the angry voices I could hear yelling at him from his headphones weren’t indication enough of the fact that he was pretty distracted, only half concentrating on the game, the hard length pressing against my core would’ve definitely been a telling hint.
“Fuck!” he groaned the moment I lowered the hem of his boxer briefs and took him in my hand. A couple of short, tentative strokes.
“MadHatter what the hell!” I heard someone yelling, and I knew Armin was finding more and more difficult to concentrate. Without wasting any more time, I lowered myself onto him, filling me to the hilt.
“Shhh…” I whispered again, as he started making a series of unintelligible sounds. “Don’t even think about muting the mic. Eyes on that screen and play, I know how important it is to you.”
I started riding him slowly, almost excruciatingly slow. I knew I was making him go completely crazy. My hands where at each side of his head, holding the bed frame. No other parts of our bodies were touching, except for our cores, and my nipples rubbing against his still clothed chest, every time I moved up and down.
“Candy… Fuck… I can’t… this is too hot…”
I knew he’d dropped the controller the moment I felt both of his hands on my ass, as he started guiding my movements faster and deeper. The irate protests of his teammates coming from the headphones signalled he’d just left out of the blue in the middle of the game. Everyone was probably getting slaughtered by the other team, but he didn’t seem to care. He took my lips with his and gave me a hungry, mind-blowing kiss.
Our movements got wilder, the pace almost brutal, punishing. I was throwing all my anger into it and, at the same time, he was taking everything and demanding even more, his fingers probably leaving ten small bruises on the skin of my ass cheeks. I was sure we would either pass out soon due to lack of oxygen or seriously hurt ourselves.
A few minutes later, when he took one of my nipples in his mouth and sucked it roughly, I came completely undone, crying out his name as he spent himself inside me.
“I don’t know what I did to make you so angry,” he said after a while, as we both caught our breaths, “but I should probably do it more often.”
“Or maybe you should just pay me some fucking attention,” I retorted. “Instead of playing with your online friends all the time. And then, maybe, you would get fucked senseless more often.”
He moved his head so that now he was looking at me in the eye with his signature jokester smile. “Are you jealous, babe?”
I grabbed his hair, pulling maybe a little more roughly than necessary. “I’m not jealous! It’s just…you’re mine!”
“That, I am.” Without losing his hold on me, he got up and threw me onto the bed.
“Armin what the…”
“I told you, didn’t I? If I had to stop playing, you wouldn’t be able to walk for a week.” He cheekily, replied as he took off his t-shirt and underwear and joined me on the bed.
He didn’t go back online until the end of spring break.

Strange Fates - 2
Tumblr media
Chapter Two: Hello There
Pairing: Eventual Mikaelson bros x Soulmate! Reader
Warnings: nope.
A/N: And so it begins.
***
You didn’t get a chance to call anyone the next morning before you received a text from Cami telling you Marcel had already talked to Jackson. He and his wife would be stopping by around 10 to talk to you. If that wouldn’t work, all you had to do was call. You blinked at the message for a moment before texting back a quick thank you. You weren’t used to people doing things for you. Especially without wanting something in return. Cami was good people.
You glanced at the time and poured yourself a mug of coffee. You carried it into the bedroom with you so you could get dressed before your visitors arrived. You didn’t put much thought into your clothing other than making sure it was something you wouldn’t mind getting dirty. Once the contractors left, you had work of your own to do. After dressing in the first pair of jeans and t-shirt you found, you wandered back out to the kitchen. You’d just refreshed your coffee when there was a knock at the door.
You opened it to find a couple on your doorstep that had to be Jackson and Haley. They both had dark hair and eyes. He was slightly taller than her and had a light beard. They made a lovely couple, that was for sure. “Jackson and Haley Kenner. We own Crescent Moon Contracting.”
You shook both of their hands before stepping back to let them in. “It’s nice to meet you. Come on in.”
They exchanged a look before stepping into the house. “Thank you. Just so you know, you should be careful who you invite into your house around here,” Haley warned.
“Haley,” Jackson chastised before looking at you. “Sorry.”
You pursed your lips. “No, it’s fine. Always good advice no matter where you live. You never know what you might be inviting in. I have my own way of keeping out unwanted guests though.”
You could see the questions burning in their gazes and sipped at your coffee to hide your smirk. Suddenly, you remembered your manners. “I’m sorry. Would either of you like something to drink?”
“No, we’re good. Marcel said you needed some help with some painting?” Jackson prompted.
“We normally don’t do small jobs, but Marcel and Cami said you could really use the help.” Irritation threaded through the woman’s voice.
“Haley,” Jackson all but growled. She huffed and crossed her arms over her chest as he turned his attention back to you. He shook his head slightly. “Sorry again.”
You didn’t even try to hide your smile this time. Their interaction was amusing and it was evident to see they cared for each other. “It’s fine and while I do have some painting to do, that’s just a small part of what I need done both here and at my shop.”
He tilted his head. “Shop?”
“I bought a building not far from here to turn into a bookstore. I’m planning something a little different. Even for New Orleans.” Your grandfather had owned his store for nearly forty years. When he died, it all went to you but you had no desire to stay in that town. So, you closed it up. You packed each book yourself and were amazed at some of the things you’d found buried in his stacks. You’d also obtained a couple of estate collections you hadn’t even had time to catalog yet. You couldn’t wait to get everything the way you wanted it and start setting up the store.
“Great. Let’s get started,” Jackson said as he pulled out a notebook and pencil.
You nodded and began to lead them through the house. It didn’t take you long to point out what needed to be painted and what light fixtures and shelves needed to be installed along with some more extensive work in the kitchen and bathrooms. They hadn’t been updated in decades.
“If you don’t mind me saying, you seem incredibly well-versed in what needs to be done to get the result you’re after,” he said as you finished in the kitchen.
You huffed a laugh. “My grandfather always was a handyman. He taught me everything he knew. I could do most of the work myself but it would take forever and I’m impatient. Plus, the store is a whole separate project and the mere thought of trying to do both at the same time had me pulling my hair out.”
“Honestly, you’ll probably feel that way even with someone else doing the work. Renovations are stressful either way,” Haley said. She had relaxed considerably as you went through the house. Now, she was smiling. You wondered if all strangers made her uncomfortable at first, or if it was just you. Or perhaps all the dollar signs she saw as you added to the list had loosened her up.
“Oh, trust me. I know. Should we go see the shop?” you asked.
“Sounds good,” Jackson said. They waited for you to grab the keys and lock up the house. “Do we need to take the truck?”
You shook your head. “It’s only a few blocks away. We might as well walk.”
They fell into step behind you and let you lead the way.
When you’d gotten about a block from the house, Haley cleared her throat. “If you don’t mind me asking, how exactly do you know Marcel and Cami? I haven’t heard them mention you before.”
You couldn’t keep the grin from your face. “That would probably be because I just met them last night. Cami and I bonded.”
Haley snorted. “Bonded. That sounds like Cami, all right.”
In a few minutes you were in front of the building that would be your store. The windows were soaped up so no one could see inside. You unlocked everything and motioned for them to go in before you.
“I know this building. It used to be a voodoo shop,” Haley said. Your brows shot up in surprise. When she saw the look on your face, she waved her hand through the air. “Not a real one, of course. Just a tourist thing. They had some pretty jewelry.”
She’d be surprised to find out just how much of what the former tenants did was real magic, you thought. You had to do a pretty thorough cleansing when you bought the place.
“Wow,” Jackson breathed.
You turned to find him running his hand along one of the large oak shelves you’d brought with you. “My grandfather built those. I couldn’t bear to leave them behind. As you can see, they need some repair and rejuvenation. I’d like to us them as a starting point for the rest of the space.”
He looked around the space and nodded as if picturing it in his head. “How many shelves are you going to want total?”
“Oh, here,” you said and walked over to the counter to grab a piece of paper. It was a complete layout of how you wanted the main room to look including measurements and counter space. You handed it over to him and he whistled through his teeth.
“You are making my job easy, Y/N. I wish all our clients were as sure about what they wanted as you are.”
“That just means you can work faster, right?” You laughed.
“Actually, it does,” Haley agreed.
You pointed to the paper. “On the back is what I need done in the back room and upstairs as well. It’s not nearly as extensive.”
Jackson flipped the paper over, his eyes scanning over your work. “Is that a stove?” he asked.
You nodded. “With a double oven. I wrote the make and model number down for you on the side there.”
“This is great,” Haley said, peering at the paper from beside him. “Give us a couple of days and we’ll write up an estimate and get it to you.”
“When do you think you’d be able to start?” You bit your lip as you awaited the response. It was unlikely they had an opening right now but you could hope.
The two of them exchanged a look. “Let me make a couple of calls, and I’ll let you know. We can move some things around maybe and we have some extra crew we could call in.”
“That would be great.” And it would, but you’d try not to get your hopes up.
The three of you stepped outside and they moved across the street to look over the front of the building while you locked up. It was in desperate need of a paintjob as well.
When you turned, you found another man stood with them. The three of them were talking, occasionally glancing toward your building. Your mouth instantly went dry as you ran your gaze over the new arrival. Holy shit. He was stunning. You couldn’t think of another word really. He was dressed in a well-tailored suit. Every strand of his dark hair was neatly in place and he held himself with a confidence you rarely saw. He had his hands in his pockets and rocked on his feet as he laughed at something Jackson said.
Realizing you were staring, you turned your attention to your contractors as you walked across to join them. Jackson’s attention was on the other man but Haley was smirking while shooting glances between you and the stranger. Evidently, you’d been caught ogling her friend. Great.
She smacked her husband’s arm with the back of her hand. “Jackson, introduce Elijah to our new client.”
Your face heated and you hoped no one noticed your embarrassment. “Thanks, Haley,” you said with a tight smile. You were almost positive you heard her giggle.
The man’s lips twisted into a half-grin as he offered his hand. “Yes, I’m sorry to have distracted them from your meeting. I had been meaning to call and couldn’t pass up the opportunity to talk to them. I am Elijah Mikaelson. And who might you be?”
“Y/N Y/L/N.” You took his offered hand and gasped as heat flared under the skin on your wrist. Your gaze darted to your joined hands. The three dots of his soulmate mark were visible where they rested near his thumb. The lines to finish it appeared literally in front of your eyes.
Your gaze darted back to his face to find his attention locked on your hands as well. When he looked up, he grinned. “Well, hello there.”

I plugged away on my laptop while she sat in front of me with her new phone in front of her face. She had been organizing her contacts, helping me answer e-mails and misusing her time to look at videos of kittens, distracting me occasionally.
 "Look at this guy, Henry. He's playing the piano," she held the screen up to my face and I smiled.
 "That's not what your new phone is for," I told her only to get a glimpse of the pout on her face when she realized I was right.
 She wasn't finished toying with me though, far from it. She never was quite finished with teasing me and the next time I looked up at her, I was stunned to see her knees open, showcasing to me that she had forgotten a piece of her wardrobe. A shot of blood careened down to my groin and I was thankful for the laptop placement.
 "Why do you do this to me?" I asked, trying to push out the thought of spreading those luscious pussy lips with the tip of my cock. I couldn't take the distraction.
 "Do what?" A coy smile spread over her mouth.
 I leaned over, half-closing the laptop so I could hiss at her. "Where is your underwear, young lady?"
 "I must have forgotten them back at the hotel. Are you going to spank me, sir?"
 The shivers running through me were violent. God, she was the living embodiment of every sexual fantasy I had ever known. I couldn't turn away for a moment before she was doing something so mind-numbingly hot on purpose or not. But seeing her there, flashing me her pussy, sending me texts telling me how wet she was, receiving snaps from her in the bathroom with her breasts pulled out of her blouse.
 When we get to the hotel, I'm going to need some cock.
 She giggled at her phone screen and tossed me a suggestive glance. I shook my head, trying to rid myself of the terribly embarrassing hard-on she had elicited.
 I didn't think that she would be able to honour our agreement of absolutely no PDA, but she impressed me again and only went after me when we were safely behind closed doors. She grabbed my wrists and placed my hands on her chest. The moment I got ahold of her, I pulled her close and helped her feel how I ached for her.
 Her ass bent over on the bed, her face looking back with expectation, the way she reached back and spread herself open for me-- I was sick for it all.
 "Mr. Deaver, won't you fill up my pussy with that nice, big cock? Please?"
 How could I ever fucking say no to that whorish drawl, the way she glistened and invited me in, wiggling her hips and displaying herself for my temptation? The answer was quite simple; I couldn't.
 "I can never get enough of that cum, daddy. Please. Fill my pussy."
 Something had to have happened to her at some point in time. I'd never met anyone as nymphomaniacal as she. How could one person need that much sexual gratification? And it's not like once was ever enough. She only let a few minutes pass by before she was pawing at my groin again.
 "Woman... You're going to have me busting ghost loads. Give me a little bit to recoup my sperm count," I had to still her hand from rubbing at me.
 "Will you eat my pussy then?"
 "Mm, god. Of course."

See You Better
Summary: Buddy glances at Peter briefly. “He’s very dramatic, don’t you think? A fever and a cough and he’s got us all gathered around like it’s his deathbed.”
Pairings: Peter Nureyev/Juno Steel Word Count: 3.5k Warnings: one minor reference to past abusive relationship, and slight PTSD (looking at you, Miasma)  AO3 link: https://archiveofourown.org/works/23766886
A/N: Thanks @pigeon-pigeoff from tumblr for the sickfic prompt. It’s taken like, ten years, I’m the actual worst, but also I thought I had covid, got tested, and ended up having strep. So. It’s been a Week. This is like, 30% sickfic, 90% Nureyev Being Dramatic
“You got this Mistah Ransom!” Rita shoots the taller man two exaggerated thumbs up.
Her stage whisper is about as quiet as a Tunguskan siren.
It’s the middle of the goddamn night, and Peter Nureyev is standing outside his… coworker’s bedroom door. When he glances at the tray of food he’s balancing, there’s orange snack dust on his silk pajamas.
His nice silk pajamas. How in Jupiter’s moons did he end up here?
***
The short answer is that Juno is a child.
The slightly extended answer is that Juno is a child who refuses to take care of himself, and somehow that translated to the detective’s former secretary tapping quietly on Nureyev’s door at some ungodly morning hour.
He considered, for one glorious moment, slipping his eye mask back down and pretending to be asleep. Whatever it was could most likely wait until morning, and he needed a full face of makeup coupled with some strong tea to face--
File it away. Tying the sash of his robe as he walked, he crossed the small room and slid his cabin door open with one eyebrow raised.
“Rita, is there something I could assist you--” He began with a slightly concerned tone (Rita had yet to approach him one-on-one, and he assumed that she held similar suspicions to the rest of the crew) but she was already off at a fast-paced whisper (for Rita, a regular volume a bit hoarser than her normal speaking voice).
“Mistah Ransom! I couldn’t wake anyone else up ya see, ‘cause Miss Vespa’s with Miss Buddy, and Miss Buddy said I ain’t allowed to wake her up before five anymore unless something’s on fire--”
“A wise injunction,” Peter muttered.
“--and I thought a settin’ something a little on fire, just a tiny bit, ‘cause it’s the boss, and this’s an emergency, but then I said, boundaries are important Rita--”
Peter went to sweep a hand dramatically down his face, then remembered his eyeliner, then remembered it’s the middle of the night and he’s not actually wearing eyeliner, and ended up fluttering his hand exasperatedly around his head.
“Perhaps you could tell me exactly why you’re here so we can both get back to our beauty sleep?”
 “Right! Well you know Mistah Steel’s been feelin’ sick,” she began, and Peter’s eyebrows drew together imperceptibly. As Rita began describing the food she’s been bringing him, returned uneaten, Peter nodded along and cast his mind over the past forty-eight hours.
Juno can’t be that ill, he would have noticed... Wouldn’t he?
Suddenly it’s difficult to tell how much Peter has written off when it comes to the new, softer version of the man he once knew. Juno had always been intelligent without even trying, confident, quick on his feet. Beautiful. Distracting. So when Peter woke up alone That Morning, he had to put Juno Steel in a box. A tiny, inconsequential box, where Juno was nothing special, and Peter could get out of bed in the morning.
It became increasingly difficult to keep Juno inside of the box when the real thing was living only two doors down, but Peter realized his desperate attempts to minimize the detective had made him ridiculously impartial.
When Peter could no longer pretend Juno was simply a bumbling fool, he chalked up the coffee spills, the small stumbles, and the misjudged distances to his missing eye.
The fatigue, the heavy clothing even in the sweltering climate of their last mission, the heat of Juno’s skin when he was playing drunk in front of their mark yesterday, and the way he leaned a bit heavier on the thief than he usually would-- it hadn’t occurred to Nureyev that none of these things could be attributed to loss of depth perception.
Peter frowned.
“--and you ain’t never sleepin’ much anyways, and the boss listens to you more than anyone else. Except me of course! And Captain Buddy. And when Vespa’s got her knife out she’s real intimidatin’--”
Listens to… Peter tucked the thought away quickly. For consideration in the very, very distant future. “I understand your concern, Rita. If Juno is refusing to take care of himself however, there’s not much we can--”
“Oh please, Mistah Ransom!” Rita cut in desperately, her eyes shining with… were those tears? “I’ve been real patient, but he told me he was feelin’ real strange just an hour ago and asked if I could get him some water and now he’s not answerin’ his door, and I could get it open myself, but what if it’s aliens, like in that one program, Aliens on a Spaceship--”
Peter pinched the bridge of his nose.
The detective was likely sleeping off a bad cold and thinking little of the chaos he wreaked. He wasn’t worried... but Rita didn’t deserve this stress, and she probably wouldn’t be able to rest properly without an invesitagion...
“All right! I’m uncertain what you imagine I’ll be able to accomplish that you cannot, but if it will reassure you, I will… what exactly is it that you propose?”
Sleep was but a fleeting dream on the Carte Blanche, it seemed.
Rita broke into a face-splitting grin and latched one hand onto his wrist. The tears, he noticed, had miraculously gone.
***
Now, Nureyev is shifting awkwardly outside Juno’s door, balancing a tray of food in one hand and his pride in the other. He hears some shuffling from inside the small room and taps lightly on the aluminum panel.
Despite what he attempted to tell Rita, the thief is certain Juno will answer the door for him, no matter the hour.
“Juno, it’s me. Are you awake?”
...Which is why he’s surprised to hear silence in response to his greeting. He almost knocks again, but his pride won’t let him.
A child.
“Juno, I think we’d all like to get some rest, and Rita is incredibly concerned about your well-being. If you could at least--” he’s cut off by a loud thump that almost startles him enough to flinch.
Rita jumps about a foot in the air. “Boss?!”
That’s it. Peter simultaneously sets the tray down hard and pulls a thin blade from the pocket of his robe to prize the door open.
At first glance the room is empty, but Peter’s already inside, skimming his eyes across the muddle of dirty clothes and dishes. Where, where, where…
There. The bathroom door is open, and Juno is puddled on the floor, still. (Again.) Peter’s chest clenches and he’s momentarily back in Miasma’s chambers, faced with a series of impossible decisions. No, no, no .
He can’t breath, Rita is saying something and pushing past him but there’s a ringing in his ears, and he’s frozen, useless, selfish, how did he miss this--
Someone bumps into him and Peter swings around to see… Jet?
Peter’s idol has gently shouldered him out of the way and is making his way towards Juno. “I’ll get him to the medbay so Vespa can check him over.”
The medbay? Peter’s brain is scrambling to catch up, to categorize the way Rita is calmly kneeling by Juno’s prostrate form, chattering quietly, and Jet is stooping to scoop Juno’s body up like a child, when Juno… groans?
Peter’s frozen as scenes from the past play out over reality. Juno bleeding, Juno screaming.
“M’ okay, just cold,” he complains, pushing weakly at Jet’s arms.
“That is because you have a fever and did not allow Vespa to treat you when you should have.”
“Boss?”
“I’m fine, Rita, I just tripped,” he fights to keep his eye open and fails, muttering, “I’m so goddamn tired.”
The words building behind Peter’s teeth burst out. “Fever? What are you--” he tries again, “How did you?” Fails again.
Jet shoots a curious look at Peter’s wild hair, his mismatched slippers, the expression lingering on his face before Peter quickly clears it. The large man cocks his head.
“The ship has thin walls, and neither of you have been particularly quiet. I alerted Vespa that we would most likely need her medical skills, and then arrived to offer my assistance.”
Rita tugs on Peter’s robe. “Mistah Ransom? Thanks for your help tonight, you can get your rest now. Ol’ Rita’s got it under control!” With that, she plods after Jet’s receding figure, leaving Peter in the doorway, still holding his knife and feeling useless. He flicks it closed.
A fever.
For a second, he had thought… well.
The adrenaline hits afterwards, like it always does, and Peter picks up the discarded food tray with shaking hands. He has every intention of taking it to the kitchen and then slipping back to his room (Juno doesn’t need him), but his feet start carrying him in the opposite direction, towards the medbay, instead.
After all, Rita subsists off of salmon snacks, they might need some real food. And Jet is kind, but lacking bedside manner. Besides, Juno and Vespa don’t get along very well, and what if Juno says something in his fever-addled state that sets her off?
Best to check in, if only briefly. Thoroughness is important in his line of work.
Upon nearing the medbay however, he’s faced with a choice.
“In or out?” Buddy is leaning in the doorway, watching a growling Vespa try to place a hydration patch on Juno’s arm.
“Lie still!”
“I don’t remember asking for your help!” Juno’s barbed retorts are less sharp than usual, his eye clenched against the light, but Peter relaxes a bit. Vespa does not.
“If you don’t pipe down, you’re going to need more help than I can give you!”
Buddy glances at Peter briefly. “Not being able to admit weakness can become a weakness itself.” The captain sounds disapproving, but a slight smile touches her lips. “He’s very dramatic, don’t you think? A fever and a cough and he’s got us all gathered around like it’s his deathbed.”
“In,” Peter decides, “I’m going in.”
“Tell Vespa I’ll meet her back in bed when she’s finished. Good night, darling.” In a sweep of colorful satin, she’s gone.
He places the tray of food on a small end table. Jet is nowhere to be seen, but Rita is watching streams on her comm from a chair pushed against the foot of Juno’s bed. Peter drags a chair beside her and sits.
Despite her earlier dismissal, Rita doesn’t look surprised to see him. Without looking away from her screen, she holds her bag of salmon snacks towards Peter. He takes one. It isn’t terrible.
Vespa has finished wrestling with Juno and is thrusting her equipment back into the cabinets with a bit more force than necessary.
Over her shoulder, she intones, “Looks like he might live,” and jerks her thumb towards a box on the wall, “unfortunately. Call me if his fever gets over forty again. The box will beep. Might be loopy between doses, suppressant is heavy, it’ll only release every six hours.”
And then there were three.
Juno is restless, somewhere between waking and sleep for the next couple hours. When he starts speaking under his breath, Peter leans closer to listen, and Juno rolls to face him. He cracks his eye open and Peter’s heart jumps...
“You... shouldn’t be here.”
And drops. Of course Juno doesn’t want him here. He made his apology, but the Juno Steel who fell for a lonely thief with too many names has grown up. Changed.
“Rita?”
“Yeah, boss?”
Peter turns to go, until, “Rita… when I fell. When I… in my room, I thought I saw Ransom.”
And he couldn’t move if he tried. Rita reaches for Juno’s hand. “Yeah Boss, he’s right there!”
“No, he can’t be, I fucked up… I fucked things up so badly Rita.”
“Nope, he’s definitely right over there Boss.” Peter turns to see a distressed look cross Juno’s face.
“Rita, he’s gotta get out of here! Make him leave, you both have gotta get out…” he trails off, his eyebrows pulling together. He’s flipping through time so quickly, Peter isn’t sure where each scene ends and the next begins.
“Outta where? I think the meds have got you all turned in circles, Mistah Steel.”
He sounds more uncertain now, growing fainter. “I can take it, I can keep going if I know he’s safe, if you’re safe--”
“But we are safe, Boss.”
“I don’t… I can’t remember. But Rita,” his voice grows urgent again, “please, you can’t let him see me like this! I wanted,” he’s quiet for a long time. So long, Peter thinks he might have fallen asleep.
But as he softly approaches the bedside, Juno finds his words.
“I wanted him to see me better.”
Peter reaches Rita’s side feeling a strange tightness in his throat. She looks almost motherly as she pats Juno’s hand.
“I think he does, Boss.” With that, she raises her eyebrows at Nureyev (aside from her hacking skills, he never thought of Rita as particularly intimidating until that moment), grabs her snacks and comms unit, and tells Peter she’s going to get some water.
She doesn’t return for the rest of the night.
Peter is left with a softly snoring Juno and no idea what to do with his hands. He takes a seat and rests his fingers as close as he dares to the detective’s curls.
“I do. I do see you better, Juno,” he whispers.
***
Juno wakes up an hour before the next dose, shivering and trying to pull Peter’s arm over him. It almost gives Peter a heart attack.
He pulls a blanket from a nearby bed as soon as he can extract his arm. Grabs a second one for good measure. His arm is burning from where it came into contact with Juno, and for a moment he remembers another night, arm flung haphazardly around the detective, skin burning.
He resigns himself to a sleepless night.
Two hours later, he’s woken by Juno kicking and flailing under the now-sweaty pile of blankets.
As he smoothes a damp washcloth over Juno’s forehead, Juno mutters, “No wait, Diamond, I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I shouldn’t’ve come home,” And oh the temptation to ask. Juno is feverish and lost in a past he’s locked away. As badly as he wants to unlock that past and spread it out before him in neatly ordered files that might give him an inkling of what makes up Juno, of who he’s supposed to be around this new Juno…
But he knows Juno would never forgive him if he took advantage now. So he is silent, stroking the cloth on Juno’s forehead. Biting his tongue.
When Vespa enters the medbay early the next morning, she wakes Peter with a snort. Somehow even her smugness is aggressive. After extracting his arm (again, damn it) from Juno’s vice-like grip, he wraps his robe a bit tighter and stalks out of the room, head held high even as he feels his cheeks burning.
***
“Over my dead body!”
“That can be arranged!”
Peter hesitates outside the medbay door, not sure he wants to walk straight into the crossfire. He’s managed to avoid Vespa and Juno’s battleground all day, but Buddy wouldn’t let that stand.
“I’m not taking your goddamn poison, Vespa!”
“Aw, I’m sorry, did I hurt your fragile little feelings? Would you like Ransom back?”
“What’s that supposed to mean?”
“Your boyfriend was in here playing nursemaid all night,” Vespa growled, suspicion creeping into her voice. “Ya know, I’m starting to recall that neither of you ever did elaborate on where you know each other from.”
So Juno didn’t remember last night. He spluttered for a moment, but recovered enough to weakly retort, “Right, which you would know because… aw, Vespa, were you in here all night? I didn’t know you cared.”
“I couldn’t care less , I only know because--” Peter decided this was an opportune moment to interrupt. High excitement, bad for healing.
“Vespa! Tea, there you are, I brought a tray, is there anything else I could get for you?”
Juno was propped up, pale but coherent, and Vespa was standing over him, fists clenched. She whirled on Peter. “I don’t recall asking you for--”
“Excellent! I’ll leave it over here for your return. Buddy sent me with dinner for our patient, but would love to see you in the dining room. I trust that would be agreeable to you?”
For a moment Peter worried she might stay and argue, but with an exasperated “ fine ”, she turned heel and stalked off.
Faced with direct eye contact from a lucid Juno, Peter suddenly wished he hadn’t set the food down so fast. He needed something to do with his hands.
Juno broke the silence first, letting his head fall back on the pillows behind it. “Tell Buddy I can get my own dinner, you don’t have to trouble yourselves.”
Peter studied the detective. “It’s no trouble, Juno. You had us all worried,” he said quietly.
Juno scoffed. “I needed some whiskey and a good night’s rest, that’s all.”
“Rita was very concerned--”
This time Juno let out a derisive laugh. “Rita’s also very concerned about Greta Glamour and whether she’ll survive the robot ghost apocalypse next season. No offense, but she’s not the pinnacle of practicality.”
Peter knew Juno was being difficult on purpose. He knew he was embarrassed and picking a fight. He rose to the bait anyway, voice rising with each word. “You passed out on your bathroom floor because you couldn’t keep yourself upright! Jet had to carry you to that bed! Your fever was so high it was burning through your body and shutting it down--”
Juno cut him off.
“I don’t understand why you’re so upset with me!” His voice became harsher. “No one wants to see you when you’re sick! No one likes you like that! It’s disgusting, it’s something you take care of privately, and why are you looking at me like that?”
Peter tried to keep his face neutral, but he felt his anger dissipating as quickly as it had come. It was obvious Juno was repeating someone else’s words. He felt a tug in his gut. Before he could come up with a response, however, Juno was talking again.
“God, Nureyev, I’m sorry, I completely went off at you. When,” he clears his throat and the words come out in a rush, “when I got sick in Hyperion, I just drank. Until I couldn’t feel it anymore. You’re right though, this was my bad.”
Peter moved to sit gingerly on the side of the bed. “No, Juno. It wasn’t your bad, or anyone’s bad. We all get sick.” He rested his hand on what he hoped was the general area of Juno’s knee. “We want to help because we care about you even when you aren’t at your best,” he caught Juno’s eye. “You don’t have to isolate yourself.”
Peter can’t help but feel a bit smug when he sees a deep blush rising up Juno’s throat. “Well I-- that’s-- thanks, I guess,” he grumbles. “But I’m going to get you sick too if you stay in here too long.”
“I think we passed that threshold last night, Juno dear.” He can’t keep the flirtation out of his voice any longer. It slips over him like a comfortable gown, hiding all his insecurities and doubts.
“What,” the detective deadpans.
“Speaking of,” Peter grows slightly more serious, “I wouldn’t hold a lady to the words she says while she’s in the throes of a fever, but you were apologizing. To someone, last night, quite distraught.”
Juno doesn’t break eye contact. His mouth opens a few times, as if he’s trying to shovel the right words out but they’re too heavy. At least for right now. The way he’s looking at Peter feels like a confession in itself as he says slowly, “Must’ve been delirious.”
“Well, the past is the past, and I say we drink to the future. Well, I’ll drink my tea, and you can drink the lovely medicine Vespa so kindly located for you.”
“Don’t push it, Ransom.”
“Or,” Peter stands to retrieve a bottle from the tray he brought in.
“Is that from Buddy’s private stash? You sly dog.” Juno lifts the alcohol appreciatively. The container is about a quarter full.
“Vespa’s, actually. I thought you deserved a bit of celebration since you missed the post-heist dinner last night.”
“Dangerous game, Nureyev. A toast?”
Peter lifts his teacup and says mildly, “To your health.”
Juno finishes half the bottle in a gulp and immediately begins spluttering. He rounds on Peter.
“Did you put medicine in a whiskey bottle?!”
“All the dishes were in the wash.”
“This isn’t a dish. This is trash.” The detective scowls deeply.
Peter only shrugs. “Rita saves them for something.”
“Rita--” Juno stops. Lets out a strange chuckle. Peter doesn’t inquire further, but the corner of his lips quirk upwards when he sees Juno sneak another sip and complain, “Vespa doesn’t even drink, damn it.”
I do see you better.

Tumblr media
There once was a bitter sweet man and they called him Lemon Boy He was growing in my garden and I pulled him out by his hair like a weed But like weeds do he only came and grew back again So I figured this time I might as well let him be
“God, I’m not looking forward to going back to my desk.”
A light frown appears at Bishop’s griping, and when you turn to look at her, you seeing she’s close to pouting. The sight makes you smirk. “Since when have you become such a workphobe? You never complain,” is your teasing response.
Ellie just gives you a sideways glance. “It’s not the work, it’s that new agent. Torres?” She looks to you for affirmation, and when you nod, she just huffs. “He’s almost...rude, you know? I asked him if he wanted a chair to sit down, because he’s been standing all day. You know what he said? He said, and I quote, ‘I don’t do desks.’ Like, who does he think he is?”
Your eyes turn away from Bishop, watching the silver walls of the elevator. And honestly, you could see where she was coming from. Nick Torres has only been here for a short time, and he’s already rubbing people the wrong way. You heard a couple agents complaining in the break room, as well. Did the whole building dislike him?
Not you, at least. “Well, he’s been undercover for a long time, Ellie. You should expect him to be a little rough around the edges.”
She just hums a little, finger tapping against her coffee cup as the elevator slows to a stop. “Yeah, well, he’s not undercover anymore. So he should learn that we’re all a team here,” Bishop continues, and once the doors open, she walks out.
You follow with a soft roll of your eyes. Out of everybody, you didn’t expect Ellie to be so harsh about a fellow agent, as grumpy as he may be.
As you follow Ellie out and to the bullpen, you can see Nick still standing in front of the plasma, reading over files that could just as easily come up on his computer screen. That fact isn’t missed by Ellie, and she throws a look over her shoulder because of it.
Has Nick been standing there the entire time you’ve been gone? You didn’t put it past him; he was weird about a lot of things.
But you put on smile on your face regardless, turning into the bullpen and walking right up to the newest agent. His eyes flicker over as you approach; not unfriendly, but still held back. It’s a look you recognize in Gibbs, oddly enough. “I brought you some coffee,” you tell him brightly, lifting the cup tray a little higher.
Nick blinks in surprise, and he turns his body to face you. “Uh, you didn’t have to do that. I could’ve gotten it myself,” he responds. But Nick takes one of the cups anyway, taking the top off to smell it.
“I was already at the diner, so why not?”
Admittedly, it’s a little difficult to keep up the friendly front when Nick still seems unimpressed. As if bringing him coffee was the same as walking on your hands. And you were about to cut your losses and sit down before he starts nodding his appreciation. “Well, thanks for that. I don’t like leaving too often; the guards always give me dirty looks.”
“Dirty looks, huh?” You scoff at his words, feeling emboldened by the tiny smirk that comes over his face. “I think you’re just seeing things.”
“Or I’m just hyper vigilant. It comes with the job.”
You just hum a little, giving Nick a disbelieving squint before moving past him to your desk. “Well, just tell me if that’s how you like your coffee or not. Next time I go, I’ll know just what to get.” You set your own coffee down and look up to the fellow agent, giving a light smile when he turns around.
Nick doesn’t reply right away. He shifts his weights, looks over his shoulder to Bishop, who stopped listening. Clears his throat a little before speaks his mind. “Listen, I appreciate the coffee and all. And it was nice of you to get it, but you don’t have to go memorizing my coffee order. I’m not gonna be sticking around that long.”
Your eyebrows furrow a bit, the smile replaced with a look of confusion. It was odd, how insistent Torres was about pushing away potential friends. So what if this situation was only temporary? That didn’t mean he couldn’t make a couple friends first.
Before you get a chance to respond, Gibbs and McGee walk back into the bullpen, and it gave Nick the perfect excuse to turn away and focus on the work again.
Though, you watched as he took sips of the coffee. How his nose wrinkled at the sharp taste, but still drinking it because he needed the caffeine boost. So you learned that, next time, Nick likes his coffee to be a little sweeter.
-
Lemon Boy and me started to get along together I helped him plant his seeds and we’d mow the lawn in bad weather It’s actually pretty easy being nice to a bitter boy like him So I got myself a citrus friend
You should’ve taken a job somewhere in the South. It was like Gibbs never felt the cold, even if it was below freezing. If he wasn’t cold, then nobody else was allowed to complain.
It was difficult to hold the camera with painfully-numb fingers. It was even harder to try and act professional at a crime scene when a bunch of civilians were staring. Watching you try to suppress the harsh shivers so you can actually take photos of the crime scene.
Looking up to Ellie and McGee, you’ve never been more jealous of them. More specifically, jealous of their thick NCIS coats, designed to warm even the most cold-sensitive agents. Jealous that they remembered to bring them, while you were stuck with a normal agency jacket that did nothing to insulate your heat.
And you must have been giving the two agents a pretty mean look, because Nick’s voice is humorous when he pads up. “Feeling a little chilly?”
“Shut it, Torres,” you snap right back, moving that mean look to the newest agent.
He’s hit with it full-force, and even though Nick takes a step back from such an intense glare, his wide grin doesn’t let up. Figures you’d have to be suffering in subzero temperatures to get Nick to smile like this. “I was just making an observation. Forget your jacket back at the office?”
You huff, creating a billow of steam that showcases your irritation. “No, I left it in the car because I love getting hypothermia at a stupid crime scene.”
Nick doesn’t reply to your sarcasm. Figures it isn’t worth pissing you off a little more than he already has. “Well, if you hurry up with those pictures, we can wrap things up and get back to the toasty warm office,” he says, voice light to further tease you.
And it works, because Nick feels your hard glare on the back of his head as he walks away.
Good riddance, anyway. You didn’t need another distraction, even if your face was suddenly a little less numb than it was just a minute before. Regardless, Nick is right; the sooner the scene is processed, the quicker you can get to warmth.
So you push your focus into getting shots of the evidence, the body, that bloody boot print that Abby will be able to get lots of information from. It seems like the killer could’ve been a man, from the sheer size of the print. It was a safe bet, anyway. A man you wouldn’t want to face alone because he’d probably just snap you in half.
You were so lost in thought, considering all the other pieces of evidence found, that you didn’t even notice Nick’s return until he was poking your shoulder. “What?” You ask briskly, head whipping up, prepared to bite a couple more harsh comments at him. Now was not the time to tease about your forgotten jacket.
But instead of a cocky grin, Nick’s face is obstructed by a coffee cup. You see the steam rising from the hot liquid inside; beautifully thick steam that immediately tapered your frustration. “I owed you a coffee,” Nick says.
Instantly, you reach for it. Clutching it with both hands to warm your fingers. Dipping your face in close so the steam warms your numb face. And when you take a small sip, the coffee seems to spread over all your frozen limbs. The feeling prompts a smile, and you notice Nick’s spine straighten up a bit. “Thanks,” you reply brightly. “This is exactly what I needed.”
He blinks once, shrugging a shoulder as he steps away to continue his own work. “Well, you shouldn’t have to freeze just because you’re forgetful.”
You’re too grateful for the coffee to comment on that last bit.
-
But soon his bitter sweet started to rub off on me You’d think smelling like lemon zest would be pretty neat I found out that my friends are more of the savoury type And they weren’t too keen on compromising with a nice lemon pie
It’s been a while since somebody was able to make Gibbs’ hackles rise the way Nick has.
Tension crackled like lightning between the two of them, staring at each other in a silent stand-off of will. You and McGee can’t do more than watch with wide eyes as Gibbs gives the order for Nick to stay in the office, at his desk, before stalking out of the bullpen toward the elevator.
Nick’s face is contorted with anger, eyebrows low with hot eyes and stiff muscles. He turns to the two of you with a shake of his head. “Is he always so-”
“Careful, Torres,” McGee warns lightly. “Gibbs has ways of overhearing when we talk about him.”
The newest agent gives a light snort, arms crossing over his chest. “Who does he think he is, keeping me chained to my desk? I’m so much more useful out there, in the field.”
You and McGee share a little sideways glance before he heaves a sigh, stepping closer to Nick. “If I’m being honest, I agree with him.” Nick’s eyes sharpen at McGee’s words, his weight shifting, about to respond but he isn’t quick enough. “Sometimes, you can be a little reckless. We have rules that we have to follow, and the sooner you learn that, the better,” McGee continues. You’re surprised at the stern tone in his voice while confronting the bull-faced Torres.
For a moment, he’s silent. Glowering at McGee, as if he wanted to say something, but obviously thought better of it. Instead, he moves past the both of you to leave the bullpen, not even sparing you a glance. And you watch him disappear behind the corner towards the break room.
That’s when you finally let out the breath you’ve been holding, shoulders slacking while looking to Tim. “I hope he doesn’t get into fights with Gibbs anymore. I don’t think I can take the stress,” you tell him, voice light to try to ease the tension.
But McGee’s face is still serious as he nods. “Maybe I should go talk to him...”
“No, I’ll do it.” He looks a bit surprised at your offer; he figured talking Nick down would be a chore you wouldn’t want. But you just offer him a light smile while padding off.
If you were being honest, you’re pretty sure Nick would listen to you.
The break room is empty, except for the angry agent leaning up against the counter with his arms crossed. Staring at the ground until you come into view. And you might not know Nick as well as you wanted to, but even you can see the slightest change in his eyes. Not so hot with anger. Just a little more welcoming.
“I guess Tim sent you in here to talk to me, huh?”
Your head shakes at his question, sitting at the table and looking up at him. “No, I came by myself. Wanted to see if you were okay.”
Nick gives a light huff, eyes averting away. “Why wouldn’t I be? I’ve faced a lot more guys a lot scarier than Gibbs,” he says flatly.
That was hard to believe, but you’re not about to pop his bubble. “Well, I’ve worked with him for a long time now. And I know how tough he can be. He might say things he doesn’t mean, or things he knows will motive you, but-”
“Are you trying to make me feel better?”
His question stops you, blinking once in confusion before giving a light shrug. “Is it not working?” You ask him.
Nick doesn’t reply right away; he’s just watching you. Considering your words before the smallest smile stretches over his lips. And you weren’t expecting him to smile so soon after an argument with Gibbs. You were fully expecting him to be licking his wounds for the rest of the day. But no, he’s smiling with damn softer eyes than he had before. “You don’t have to try to make me feel better. I appreciate you checking up on me, though.”
You’re not inclined to believe Nick. Sure, he was an easy-going guy. It took a lot for something to really get under his skin. But was a short talk with you really all it took for him to feel better?
Evidently, it was. Because Nick pushed himself off the counter with his head motions towards the squadroom. “C’mon, you heard Gibbs - we got work to do.”
Sure, maybe you didn’t fully believe that Nick was alright. But at least he was smiling, so that was good enough until later.
-
So Lemon Boy and me, we just gotta get along together I’ll help him plant his seeds and we’ll mow the lawn in bad weather It’s actually pretty easy being nice to a bitter boy like him So I got myself a citrus friend
It’s been a while since Nick was in a hospital this big. He wasn’t used to twenty floors and two cafeterias and a thousand gift shops. And he was a little too proud to admit that he needed to stop and ask a nurse for directions back to your room.
And he wasn’t sure why, but Nick felt his pace at a brisk walk all the way back. It’s not like you were in any real danger; just a flesh wound from an unlucky stray bullet. The doctors didn’t expect you to stay for more than a few hours. Tonight, at the most. That’s why the team went right back to work.
All except for him. Nick feigned his reason for staying as you needing a ride home. Sure Abby could’ve been the taxi, right? Or even Palmer?
Nah, Nick didn’t like the idea of leaving you in a hospital. Flesh wound or not.
And he’s relieved to have finally found your door. He pushes it open, head peaking inside to see you typing away on your phone. And the sight makes Nick frown. “Hey, shouldn’t you be relaxing? I know you’re texting Bishop about the case.”
The surprised look that appears tells Nick all he needs to know about your intent. And yet, you lie. “I wasn’t. I was, uh, asking Abby if she knew my nurse. She usually knows the names of the nurses here, in case any one of us gets hurt really bad.”
Nick looked like he was about to argue your explanation, but knowing Abby, that was probably completely true. So he sticks with wearing a doubtful expression while coming up to your bedside. “Right, well, I was walking around - stretching my legs - and I passed this stupid little gift shop. Saw something that might make you feel better,” he says, bringing his hand out from behind his back.
He sets down a little stuffed bear on the table beside your bed. Black fur, shining eyes, cute round ears. And between its paws is a heart that has ‘You Are Bear-y Sweet!’ stitched into it. All around, the kind of gift you’d find just about anywhere. It probably didn’t cost more than three dollars.
But Nick was right; it made you feel better. He watches your face break into a wide grin, reaching out with your good arm to pick it up and inspect it even closer. “It’s very cute, Nick. Thank you,” you tell him, giving the other agent a warm look before pointing it back to the bear.
He nods, about to say something else before his phone starts ringing. He answers it, and you’re able to piece together what the conversation is about; the team must’ve had some kind of break-through, and needed him.
When Nick hangs up, you’re immediately straightening up, giving him your undivided attention. “What’s up?”
“Uh, nothing too serious,” he answers. Giving you too much information might not be a good idea. It was hard enough getting you to relax, as it is. “I gotta go.”
You nod lightly, a little disappointed he was leaving, but that’s the job. “Well, come back tomorrow, okay?”
He blinks once at your request, like he wasn’t expecting it. But really, it worked out pretty damn well that you asked him - offering to come back tomorrow wasn’t his style, anyway. “Yeah, sure,” Nick replies. Keep it short and simple. Flash a smile.
At that, he turns and makes his way to the door. Keeping as cool as possible until he was outside, and that’s when he’ll admit to himself that he’s blushing.
And you saw all of that; the pseudo-coolness that Nick always likes to put out there. You didn’t have the heart to bring up that he’s the one who promised to drive you home. Because it made your heart monitor beep a little quicker, knowing he got all bashful.

The first time we fucked, Taehyung and I bit purple stars into the other’s skin and called it art. He liked to hold onto the sentiment, even months afterwards, whispering sweet nothings about masterpieces into my ears, but I had dropped saccharine words in favor of the unmarked truth: we had sex because we had nothing better to do in the middle of the night when we couldn’t sleep, and neither of us had ever cared enough to love anybody, and maybe I liked having someone to see me as anything other than a monster once in a while.
I didn’t want to go home, didn’t want to spend the night thrashing in my bed and throwing off the covers and pacing the floor, so I spent the night thrashing in Taehyung’s bed instead, my thoughts disintegrating into hazy nothings when his head was between my thighs. That’s what this was. Not art, but nothing, and in light of the vast somethings of the past two days, I needed nothing. One of the best parts about Taehyung was that he didn’t bother with unbearable what’s wrong’s and what can I do’s. He didn’t care what was wrong, and he knew what to do. I showed the same kindness in the moments he showed up at my door asking for another masterpiece. My problem with Jungkook had always been asking, knowing, feeling too much, so I fixed that mistake with Taehyung. No asking, no knowing, no feeling.
We never cuddled afterwards, too good for or too afraid of affectionate embraces, so we’d stare at the ceiling or a wall to catch our breath and stayed there when our lungs were full again. Sometimes he offered me a drink. I usually said no, because one drink would turn into four and I would be in no state to drive myself home and sometimes even Taehyung’s room was too heavy with silence or with the heat of his body next to mine, so I had to be able to leave at a moment’s notice. He never asked, never cared, if I was staying or not, and was doubtfully ever surprised when he fell asleep with me next to him and woke to an empty bed.
But this time, when he offered a shot of whiskey on ice, I asked him to bring the whole bottle. He blinked at me, slow and lazily curious, but drew out of bed without a word, bringing back two glasses and a bottle from Scotland, only the world’s finest. He probably picked it up on one of the world travels I had sent him on.
I downed my first drink in seconds, fire tickling the back of my throat with a scraping claw. Taehyung’s bedroom walls, like those in my office, were covered in stolen artwork, without even a dirty little fingerprint as proof that they had ever belonged to anyone but him.
“I like that one.” I gestured at a painting above his TV, a Japanese work depicting frothing waves and fogged-over mountains in the distance. I felt like I was about to be drawn under, spat back out, thrown against the sides of cliffs. “Hokusai, right?”
“Hiroshige,” he corrected me with a mumble against the rim of his glass. I poured myself another drink. “I didn’t know you were such a fan of whiskey.”
“Depends on the night,” I answered. For once, I was glad for the conversation. For every moment Taehyung and I weren’t having sex, Jungkook crept back into my thoughts, so the additional distraction was welcome. Looking at Taehyung did half the job, though. He was still nude, reclined against his headboard with a sheen of sweat on his body and a vein protruding from his neck. Sometimes my chest swelled with pride that I got to sleep with him, that in all his ethereal poise he chose to come to my door at night, chose to share priceless bottles of whiskey with me.
I wonder what sleeping with Jungkook would be—fuck. I stopped myself midway through the thought, taking another sip from my glass and dying to think of a conversation starter.
“Who would you die for?” I asked, too suddenly, like when a pianist presses the wrong key and the whole audience jolts, but Taehyung barely flinched.
“Well, the Min Clan, obviously. That’s kind of my job—to die for you, if ever the need arises.” He swirled his glass, ice clinking together, as cold as his voice. There was no passion in his words, only unquestioned duty and complete acceptance of his role in life.
“Outside of that,” I meant, not sure what I was looking for, and by the way Taehyung looked at me, he wasn’t sure, either. His eyes were asking about the unprecedented conversation, wondering what was so different about me tonight compared to every other night. “Like…is there anyone you would die for who you’re not obligated to?”
He finished his drink while mulling the question over, then sat the glass over on his nightstand with a small shake of his head. “No, I don’t think so. Why?”
“Just wondering,” I said. One of the paintings on the wall reminded me unerringly of Jungkook, a boy with too big and too dreamy eyes that were ready to consume the stars. I looked away, but a moment too late, with those eyes still burning on my skin. “What’s something you couldn’t live with? Something where you’d rather die than endure it?”
“Betrayal, I suppose. I couldn’t imagine being disloyal to the syndicate, and then expecting to go forward as if I hadn’t done it.” His voice was so mechanical, like a machine just doing its job, and I wasn’t sure if he actually meant it or if he was only trying to impress his boss.
“I agree,” I said, wincing at the lie while another sip of whiskey burned its way down, setting nerve endings in my chest on fire until the sensation reached my toes. “Do you wanna fuck again?”
Tumblr media
I lingered outside Yoongi’s office while he was with Jungkook, finding half a dozen excuses to pass by his door, but I hardly heard a word of their murmured conversation punctuated by silence. I shouldn’t have been there, leaving myself vulnerable to lingering and curious eyes. Jungkook wouldn’t have wanted me there anyway. After I pulled off the murder for him and he was tattooed, our relationship would return to the way it had been for years. The way it should be. And yet it took all my willpower not to press my ear against Yoongi’s closed door. All I asked was that Jungkook wouldn’t go back on his promise.
By the time Yoongi came by, I had returned to my desk, pretending that I had been immersed in work since morning. I was behind on today’s workload and bound to stay after-hours, but Yoongi hadn’t stopped in to ask about any of that. He was there to tell me what I had been waiting all day to hear.
“Well?” I prompted. Yoongi liked to linger in suspense, examining the art on the walls and running a finger along the bookshelves to see if they needed dusting before coming up to my desk and having a seat at the edge, as if there weren’t two chairs a couple feet away. “Good news or bad news?”
“That’s relative,” he said. I raised my eyebrows, prompting him to go on. “Besides, it would be good news for us either way. Either we’ve gotten rid of a disloyal man or recruited a loyal one.”
I stared at my brother, knowing this was where we differed. Ripping the bandage off versus toying with prey before finishing the job. “Which is it, then?”
Yoongi rapped his knuckles on my desk, straightened a framed photograph of the two of us and our parents from years ago. My fingers twitched impatiently. “Start writing up that assignment,” he said, quick and short, exactly what I had been waiting for.
My heart lurched into my throat, a shot of relief straight into my veins, but I maintained the crease between my brows and the straight line of my mouth. “He’ll be joining us, then?” I clarified.
“He’ll need some work, once he’s recruited. I’ll have Namjoon keep an eye on him, try to help him along quicker, but he seemed eager to go after his father’s killer, so he must’ve come to his senses about whatever doubts he was having.” Yoongi treated doubts like a dirty word. No room for doubt or hesitation in a world that would kill you in your moments of fumbling for certainty.
“I suppose you were right to have faith in him. I’ll have his assignment ready by the end of the week to hand over.” My stomach churned at how easily I lied to my own brother. We had been trained in how to get away with a lie, but never to each other, only to the enemy. Forgive me, I silently prayed to my father’s ghost.
“Take your time. After his assignment, I told him we would reconnect him with his mother and brother, so they can decide for themselves whether he’s anything like his father.”
“He’s not,” I said, peering back at my stack of papers left to do. Yoongi would need to leave soon if I wanted to have any of it done by the evening. “He seems to have no interest in drinking or prostitutes, at least. Just wants a wife and kids.”
Yoongi laughed. Somewhere along the way, I missed the punchline and stared at him dumbly. “That’s not what word on the street says. He lives in the same area as a lot of our soldiers, and one of them must’ve seen some hooker going into his apartment last night.”
I kept myself from flushing deep crimson, gritting my teeth together in a forced smile. “Huh,” I said, pretending to be surprised. I would’ve liked to put some sense back into whoever thought I was a hooker, but asking too much would give me away. “I guess he’s enjoying the bachelor’s life while he’s young, then.”
“Must be.” Yoongi shook his head, chuckling one last time before rising to his feet. “I’ve got a few more things to get done. You tell me if you need anything, alright?”
He was always doing that, always filling the role of the big brother perfectly, willing to fill in for me anytime I needed it, or drop anything to bring me a lunch that I wanted. He told me I was the best second in command he could ask for, just like generations of Min siblings or Min cousins who had filled our shoes. I wondered if I was the first to commit treason, the first to break the long line of pristine loyalty.
“Will do.” I forced a tight-lipped smile, waving to him on his way out the door, thus resuming my hours of incomplete work.
I messaged Taehyung sometime during the early evening, telling him not to expect me. He was headed for Germany in the morning, and had asked if I would pay him a visit before he left for four days. I had said yes before I fell so far behind, but maybe it was for the best not to see him so soon after stepping over our usual line with last night’s questions and too much whiskey. He stopped me after my fourth glass, and despite my resistance then, I was glad for it now.
I handed off various tasks. Drug smuggling jobs for Seokjin’s subordinates, casino operations for Namjoon’s lot. Jungkook would soon be part of them, but I forced myself to continue forward well past dinnertime, withholding thoughts about Jungkook. We had passed step one. That was all that mattered, and I shouldn’t have to worry about him again until it was time for step two.
Or so I thought.
Jungkook appeared at my threshold just as the last traces of sun were disappearing, casting the world in dark shadow. I had looked up to turn on my lamp and found him, silently watching, although he couldn’t have been there longer than a minute or two.
“What’re you doing here?” I asked, dry, the same way I had spoken to him two days ago. I tried to forget the way I had buckled to my knees in front of him less than twenty-four hours before. “It’s past office hours.”
“You’re still here,” he pointed out from his spot, seeming to have no intention of coming in unless I explicitly said so.
“Something came up earlier, and I fell a little behind on work. Just trying to catch up.” I twirled my pen in my fingertips, eyeing him, wondering whether or not to invite him in. “Now. What’re you doing here?”
“I was in the area for dinner, meeting with Namjoon since it looks like we’ll be working together soon. I walked by the building and…I don’t know. Sometimes I come by the offices after everything’s locked up, just to walk the empty halls. I saw your door open and thought I’d see what’s going on.” He sounded like a kid checking on a classmate, like when we were kids checking on one another, asking about homework or whether the other wanted to go to the playground before dinner.
“Work’s going on.” I neither dismissed him nor welcomed him in, unsure of which I would rather do. I was almost done, ready to leave and go home and do the same thing again in the morning. “Congratulations, though, on getting to work with Namjoon. He’ll train you well. You might be just like him in a few years.”
“That’s the plan.”
We both fell silent, anticipated the other’s next move with bated breath while counting the heartbeats that passed in between. I wondered if his was synced with mine, if our heartbeats had become irrevocably intertwined when we still loved each other.
“Do you want me to leave?” He gripped the engraved doorframe as if trying to anchor himself there.
“I don’t know,” I admitted. “Are you just going to tell me more about how we aren’t going to be friends in the future and how everything now doesn’t matter enough?”
“Not if you don’t want me to.” There was a slight tug at the corner of his lip, just a glimmer of humor in his voice that somehow took me off edge. “Can I come in?”
“I suppose,” I conceded, and he sat where he had two days ago. I felt like so much more time had passed, probably because the people we were forty-eight hours ago didn’t exist anymore. We were traitors, and I wasn’t even sure if Jungkook cared or knew what that meant.
“You’re staring,” he said. I realized he was right and returned my attention to the papers in front of me. I was losing hope in the idea that I might finish tonight, which meant I’d have to stay overtime the next day as well.
When it had been a while since either of us said anything, and I scribbled my signature at the bottom of a page, I decided to try my hand. “A soldier who lives near you saw me last night, apparently.”
“What?” I could almost feel Jungkook’s pulse quicken as he leaned forward in his seat. “Someone knew you were there? Did Yoongi hear about it?”
“They didn’t know it was me, specifically.” I shook my head, allowing him to relax again. “They thought I was a hooker.”
For a moment he looked offended, like he was wondering who could possibly mistake him for the type of man to give money for sex, like he was trying so hard not to be his father and his reputation was already being muddied. But after a moment his features softened again, and in his eyes appeared a glint of mischief.
“I told you the wig was tacky.”
I melted, just a little, all of our sins momentarily washing away in favor of a world where we could laugh about the secrets between us. I believed, for all of a couple seconds, that we would be okay, before I remembered the eyes in the walls watching us, scrutinizing every move.
“While you’re here, maybe we should outline some of the details of your assignment.” My voice regained its former rigidity. Jungkook’s smile disappeared in the same moment.
“But…I thought it would be a few days before I had to worry about that.” He tugged on the tie around his neck, loosening it so he could breathe easier. He didn’t want to talk about death, even if he wasn’t the one blotting out another man’s life.
“You’re here now, and the sooner the better. Park Clan is surely waiting for your next move.”
Every event in the syndicate was one move in a centuries’ long chess match. Min Clan versus Park Clan, with occasional disturbances by third parties, but none big enough to turn the match in another’s favor. The upper hand traded off here and there, but neither side ever had a strong enough hold over the other to end the game. Right now, Jungkook was a vital piece, and taking him out was a priority. Not for the sake of turning the tables, but for revenge.
“Why didn’t it just end?” Jungkook muttered. Although he already made his choice, and I mine, he wasn’t finished with his ever expanding list of why why why’s. “The point of my father’s joining the mafia was protection from Parks. They killed him. They got what they wanted. Eventually, they’ll probably get to me, too.”
“His life was prolonged twenty-five years. It’s a risk we all take,” I reasoned, although reason was a tactic he hardly listened to. “Once the Parks have been disgraced by one member of a family, that person’s entire family is at stake. They want to stop the bloodline and keep its descendants from ever becoming anything.”
“It doesn’t make sense how a man commits a crime and his entire family deserves to die.” Jungkook narrowed his eyes, like his displeasure of the world would change the way it revolved on its axis.
“If you spend your life trying to find out why people do the things they do, you’ll drive yourself mad. They’re vermin. They care about maximum profit and maximum destruction. Accepting the truth is hard, but you at least have to know these things.”
“That I’ll spend my entire life running?”
“Running from the truth and running from the enemy,” I said, my brevity making him wince, but he had to know. That was his life.
“Can we talk about the assignment tomorrow, please?” he asked, lowering his gaze. His meeting with Namjoon must’ve put it in his head that he was already on his way to working in the business, ignoring the inevitable task ahead. I had already made his life as easy as I could, and still he cast his eyes away from me.
“Fine. Is there something you’d rather talk about?” I implored.
“Could we go somewhere else?”
I raised my eyebrows. “Why?”
“Well.” He searched around him scanning the art-filled walls, covered in painted faces he didn’t recognize and hadn’t learned to appreciate. What hobbies had he taken up, I suddenly wondered, in the years when we hadn’t spoken? We hardly talked about anything outside of the mafia in our early teenage years, and by the time we developed our own interests, we didn’t speak much at all.
“Having so many faces watching is a little…eerie,” he continued. I remembered the decor of his apartment, in that there wasn’t much to remember, nothing to indicate his interests.
“You’re going to have to get used to it. These faces aren’t even real,” I reprimanded but gathered my papers into a neat pile and clipped them together, setting the stack in a tray and making the mental note to return to my incomplete tasks first-thing in the morning.
Funny, how he wasn’t used to eyes being on him. His usual jobs required a low profile, sure, but hundreds of our own members and surely hundreds of Park Clan had watched him at his father’s funeral. Running a casino wasn’t a faceless job, either, especially since the job meant having at least twenty employees to lead, and knowing how to put on a charming face for customers and other men in the business was paramount. Jungkook would have to familiarize himself with the heavy eyes of pressure and scrutiny, or all of his dreams would dissolve into ashen nothings.
And yet, I stood because he didn’t like the centuries’ old watercolor and acrylic faces staring him from the walls. Maybe it was their emotion. Staring mafia members in the eye was like looking into ice most of the time, cold and dead. Maybe it was easier to look into the unfeeling eyes of the living than the treacherous expressions of art. Or perhaps he knew that he was just like them, a tragedy in the making, and he couldnt bear the reminder.
“We could grab a drink,” Jungkook offered, copying my movements as he stood and grabbed his belongings. I trailed a step behind him walking out of the room, shutting off my lamp and locking the door.
“No, thanks,” I said, stepping into the dimly lit hall. In my opinion, this was far more eerie than my office: shadowed halls anyone could be lurking through at night, but for whatever reason, Jungkook found solace in wandering it after hours. “I had enough to drink last night.”
“Last night?” he asked, and I gritted my teeth. “You weren’t drunk at my apartment, were you?”
“You think I’d drive over if I had an ounce of alcohol?” I snorted, defiant, but shrunk back into shame at the thought of telling the truth. He already knew about Taehyung. A lot of people did—even Yoongi, regrettably—but admitting that I sought out sex and alcohol as solace for my problems sounded too much like his father.
“So you went home and got drunk?” Jungkook pressed no less, and I tried to find the judgement in his eyes through the dark.
“I went to Taehyung’s and got drunk,” I said in a thin whisper. It had taken two steps out of my office for me to forget who I was, and I straightened up once I realized I couldn’t be weak, not even in front of Jungkook. We weren’t friends. He made sure to tell me.
“And you stayed the night with him?” Jungkook clarified.
I nodded. “I did.”
There were conflicting tides in his expression, calm seas and uproarious oceans coming to mind. “As long as you didn’t drive, then,” he said. “As long as you were safe.”
I wanted to ask. Why didn’t he glower at me for doing the same things he hated in his father? Maybe it was the fact that I wasn’t paying for sex, or that I wasn’t cheating on anyone, but there was a glimmer of recognition in him despite his collected exterior. He had made the connection, just hadn’t manifested it into an argument.
Then I realized. He hadn’t been thinking of his father at all, but mine. He only wanted me safe, protected. Who I was with didn’t matter. Even if Jungkook hated Taehyung, he was content, as long as I felt security in whoever’s arms I found myself in. Perhaps it wasn’t a good time to mention that Taehyung wasn’t one for holding me, that he probably had enough trouble holding himself together.
I wondered, suddenly, what the inside of Jungkook’s arms would be like, and remembered the brief thought from last night when I had cut myself off before I could think too much about sleeping with him.
“Every day and always, right?”
My meandering train of thought stopped short, and I blinked up at him, solid and real in front of me and suddenly I wondered if I should take him up on the offer for drinks. He wouldn’t have much, not with his discontentment towards his father’s actions, but maybe a glass or two to soften the hard edges of our minds.
But maybe I liked his edges jagged, liked his sober thoughts.
“Right,” I agreed. I would never let him go. My pinky would be pried from his only after we were long dead, even if we weren’t friends, even if the cold reminder of treason sat forever on my chest.
“What do you do, Kook?” I hadn’t called him by his nickname in years. Lifetimes, even, when I used to refuse to call him anything else. He got mad once whenever we were preteens, saying that he was too old and the name was childish, but I was hard-headed by that age and didn’t back down. I phased into calling him Jungkook when we were around sixteen, and Kook disappeared in its entirety soon after.
“I…smuggle drugs and steal things. What?” A crease formed between his eyebrows. “You know what I do for a living.”
“I know what you do for a living,” I echoed, “but what do you do to feel alive? You’ve had it pretty easy with the number of jobs we’ve given you, so what about your free time?” He clearly hadn’t spent it with family, or at bars and clubs. He wasn’t even very close with many of our soldiers. Most of his childhood had been with me and Taehyung, and I didn’t think he ever replaced us.
“I…drive around a lot, I guess, trying to find some new things.” He nodded for us to keep walking, so I did, my footsteps matching his down the hall. It amazed me how we were still so in sync, but I let him keep talking. “I think that’s why I started coming here at night sometimes. It’s quick to drive to. Other times I’ll go to a 24-hour diner and just watch people, or talk to the waitress if she’s pretty.
“Sometimes I leave the city limits, so I don’t have to think so hard about who I am. No one notices if you leave to the countryside for a day. My father never did, and you never did, so…” He shrugged, like being alone came easily to him, or he was just pretending that it did. “I’ve made friends with a lot of farmers over the years, as weird as it sounds, but as soon as I get close to them I stop visiting. I never wanted to risk their lives, you know? But they never knew who I was. I told them I was just a college student. Sometimes they’d ask if I had a girlfriend at school, and sometimes I’d say yes.”
He would never be able to have serious friendships outside of the syndicate, and if he tried, he would expose them to potential threats from the Parks, and Jungkook wouldn’t do that to an innocent. None of us would, but Jungkook especially. I pitied him, just a little, for inventing personas of himself to farmers, hoping one day he would get to be the boy he said he was. But I was a little jealous, too, that somewhere in the world, in the hearts of rural farmers, he was someone else. Meanwhile I was always who I was.
“If I told them I had a girlfriend, they would demand pictures. The first time, I panicked and showed them a picture of you, and I accidentally made a habit of it. A few people I met said you look like a natural-born leader. Very proud. I would say we were both studying business but that you were much better with people than I was. ”
Or maybe I was someone else, too. Somewhere I was the business-student girlfriend of a business-student Jungkook, without the mafia tagline that I had been unerringly labeled with since birth.
“That’s…crazy,” was all I could think to say once I realized he was waiting for a reaction.
“Are you mad?”
“No, no.” I pulled on my earring, and I hoped he didn’t notice. The small act returned a sliver of my clarity. “Good crazy, not bad. That there are people out there who think you’re someone completely different, and that I’m someone completely different. It’s a good thing you leave them, though, as much as it hurts to.”
“Burning the old bridges builds new ones. I vary the background a little, once in a while, but I leave the city less than I used to, and I probably won’t be able to often once I’m initiated.”
“It’s too dangerous.” I nodded, proud of him for showing a sense of duty. No putting himself or others in harms way. Always being ready at a moment’s call.
“What else?” I prompted. “I learn as much as I can about art when I have the time. What do you do?”
“I’ve taught myself to dance over the past three or four years, and I think I’m half-decent,” he said, and I gave him the kind of side-eye that asked for further explanation. “Not, like, ballroom dancing or ballet. Think hip-hop.”
“How’d you get into that, though?” There certainly hadn’t been any dancer in him when we were young. We were both graceless fools, dizzying ourselves and falling onto the living room floor.
“One time Taehyung and I went to this underground show when we were fifteen, maybe sixteen. It was towards the end of when we were friends. You were in trouble, I think—”
“I was never in trouble.” I shoved his arm, and he stumbled just slightly. He used to be so much bigger than me when we were kids that he’d never go anywhere when I pushed him, and he was still stronger than me, but I had grown enough to be able to hold my own.
“Well you were busy, then,” he said, giving a gentle shove back. “Anyway, Taehyung and I went to this show, and the rappers were alright, but you should’ve seen the people dancing there. The crowd went as nuts for a couple of random kids on the street having a dance-off as they did for the actual performers. And they made it look so effortless. I forgot about it for a while, but once you and Taehyung weren’t in my life anymore and I had a ridiculous amount of time on my hands, I started dancing horribly in my dad’s basement and then dancing mediocrely in my apartment.”
“You’ll have to show me sometime.” I half-expected him to be a complete dunce, half-expected him to look like a professional. He had a dancer’s body, I considered, before pushing thoughts of his body to the back of my mind again.
“Please, no. I’ve never actually had an audience,” he said, embarrassed, but there was a light chuckle in his throat.
“I don’t care. I’ll be your first audience member. Promise me.” I reached out my pinky, almost on instinct, and he slowed his pace just to ponder the offer, like he was reminding himself how to make a pinky promise. We hadn’t done it in so long, not even when we swore ourselves into secrecy.
“Whenever we were kids,” he started into another tangent, not ignoring my extended pinky but using his time carefully while he had my undivided attention, “Taehyung and I used to argue when you weren’t around. We would fight over which one of us was going to marry you someday. Neither of us really knew what we were saying, but I used to get angry because the marriage was all about prestige to him. He would be marrying the queen, so he would have all the power and opulence of a king.”
“What about you? Why’d you want to marry me?” I dared ask, my pulse in my throat and my pinky curling subconsciously back into my fist.
“Because I always heard that you’re supposed to marry the person you care about more than anything in the world, and you were that person for as far back as I could remember.”
I blinked, because it’s all I could do. The rest of me froze, suspended in wait. “What’s that have to do with a pinky promise about dancing for me?”
“When he walks into a room, you look at him like he’s a masterpiece, like he’s the most beautiful thing you’ve ever seen. You have for years, ever since the three of us became the two of you.”
I wanted to rush him to the point, but the ache in my chest was almost too addicting, and I was scared that it wouldn’t come back once it was gone, that this ache was for Jungkook and he would never again look at me the way he was.
“Promise me,” —He raised his hand, holding his pinky just an inch away from mine— “Promise me you don’t love him.”
Jungkook was right about all his claims. Taehyung was the most beautiful person I had ever seen, a walking masterpiece among men, belonging among the paintings on my wall, but no masterpiece was ever enough before I was wanting more a few weeks later. I asked tirelessly for new art once the same faces had been staring at me for so long, and none appeased me. None of their eyes stilled me the way Jungkook’s did.
He wasn’t a masterpiece. He was only a boy, and that was all I wanted of him.
I twined my pinky with Jungkook’s, the easiest promise I ever made.

Dirty Little Secret (Who Has To Know?) Part 2
A/N: Due to high demand I guess? I honestly never expected that so many people would be into this much less want more parts to it, so thank you to all of you!
Words: 4.1k
Pairing: Shawn/Reader
Warning: Smut
Tumblr media
Weeks passed. Months passed. It was never mentioned again. No one found out about it. It really stayed your dirty little secret, much to your relief. The only thing that really changed was that they became even more protective of you. The second some guy approached you one of them immediately appeared out of nowhere, effectively cockblocking you. Every. Single. Time. It drove you insane- and that’s what made it even more amusing to them.
Sometimes flirty little grins and winks were thrown back and forth between you, but that was it. Sometimes the casual and friendly touches lingered longer than strictly necessary, but they never turned suggestive. You never got the feeling either one of them was trying to initiate something. And you also never did.
Until Shawn did.
"Shawn," you sighed, annoyance clear in your voice as you pinched the bridge of your nose. "Would you please just give me 5 more minutes of your undivided attention?" you pleaded, a huff escaping his lips as he focused on his MacBook again- you desperately hoped that he still had the document open you had sent him. "Listen, I'm not a fan of doing this either. But you were the one who promised me that we'd do this now instead of this morning because you wanted to sleep in."
He sighed and stayed quiet, prompting you to continue going over his schedule with him. The frown on his face didn't disappear, his jaw clenched which gave him a look like he couldn't be any more bothered by your presence.
"And… that's it," you eventually finished after a couple more minutes.
"Finally," he sighed and tilted his head back against the headrest of the armchair, not seeing the way you rolled your eyes.
"Yeah, you're finally getting rid of me," you muttered under your breath while grabbing your laptop and getting up.
But he heard it and quickly scrambled to get up while you were already on your way to the door, his hand wrapping around your wrist and gently tugging you back so you looked at him again. "You know that's not- that's not what I was trying to say."
"But it doesn't seem like you're happy that I'm here either," you shrugged, your gaze not meeting his as you nibbled on your bottom lip.
He inhaled deeply. "It's actually the exact opposite of that," he admitted, his heart racing in his chest.
"Shawn," you sighed, not getting what he was trying to hint at as you looked up to him, "let's face it. I know you pretty well by now after having been your PA for so long, yeah? And I can tell when you just want to be alone."
"But I don't," he whispered and slowly stepped closer, his fingertips slowly tracing over your arms while he looked down on you with an expression in his eyes that had your heart skipping a beat. Your eyes widened as you finally got the hint.
You swallowed heavily. "You do remember that we swore it would stay a one time thing?" you reminded him, your voice nothing more than a whisper like you were scared that someone would hear you.
A small smirk tugged at the corner of his lips while he reached for your laptop, quickly placing it aside and you didn't put up a fight. "Hmmm, but didn't we just swear that the threesome would stay a one time thing?" he mumbled, a coy smile playing on his lips. "No one ever said anything about some nice one on one time, right?" he added in a low and raspy murmur while he leaned down to you, his lips peppering tender and yet teasing kisses over your neck.
You gasped, the feeling of his lips on your skin bringing back so many memories of that night. You were limp in his arms as he wrapped them around you and tugged you closer. "Shawn… You know you can't get attached to me, right?"
"Mmmm, I know," he cooed and gently nibbled on your earlobe while his hands started to roam your back, "we're just having a bit of fun, honey. You can't tell me that you've gotten any since that night."
You didn't want to admit it, but having his hands on you in a simple way like this already drove you insane. Swallowing heavily, you bit your bottom lip and forced yourself not to get distracted by his touches. "It's not like I had a chance with all the cockblocking you and Cez did these last few weeks," you complained, his low chuckle filling the room.
Placing a kiss right below your earlobe, he let his lips linger before they curved into a grin. "Can you blame us for not wanting to share you with some random guy who could never make you feel as good as we did?" he rasped against your ear, sending a chill down your spine while you reached up to grasp his upper arms like you needed to stabilize yourself.
"That's very cocky of you," you mumbled, the tip of his nose playfully rubbing against yours as he rested his forehead against yours.
His hands moved up to cup your face, one of his thumbs catching your bottom lip and lightly tugging on it. "Tell me it's not true," he breathed, tilting his head to pepper soft little pecks over your cheeks and along your jaw. Your nails lightly dug into his upper arms while you stayed quiet, a rush of confidence filling his chest. "Tell me, honey," he whispered and found the sensitive spot on your neck where he started to suck on your skin. The thought of leaving a mark behind that the entire team would see tomorrow was way too tempting to pass on.
You wrapped your arms around his neck, your fingers tangling into his hair while his hands moved down to your waist again, keeping you flush against him. "Shawn…"
The desire in your voice had his blood rushing south immediately, his teeth lightly digging into your neck and drawing a hiss from you while your spine arched under his fingers. "Tell me you want this," he whispered against your skin, a hickey visible right where his lips still touched your neck, "tell me you also haven't been able to forget about that night." He bit his bottom lip as he swallowed heavily, his head lifting to look at you with blown eyes. "Tell me you also haven't been able to forget about the kiss we shared."
You knew exactly what kiss he was talking about. The very first kiss of the many that had followed in the early morning hours, when Cez had been soundly asleep behind you as Shawn's lips had found yours. The gentle touch of his soft and slightly wet lips against yours, his fingertips just lightly touching your jaw while his tongue had slowly brushed past your lips for just a quick moment.
Your eyes fell shut. "I can't forget about it," you admitted in a quiet whisper, your breath hitching in your throat as he placed the lightest kiss on the corner of your mouth.
"Look at me, honey," he murmured, his lips ghosting over yours. You didn't even hesitate to open your eyes, looking up into the brown eyes that held the same lust they had that night. "Do you? Do you still think about it?"
You knew you couldn't deny it. Shawn knew you too well and he was scarily good at reading you like an open book. Also, you knew that he would've never started any of this if he wasn't absolutely confident about it. "Yes," you breathed, your eyes falling closed again as he finally captured your lips in a tender kiss. You gasped against his lips and arched your back, his hands squeezing your waist before he wrapped his arms around you in a tight embrace.
You didn't even gasp in surprise as he gently pushed you backwards and made you stumble, knowing exactly that he would always be there to catch you. His tongue eagerly explored your mouth as he blindly guided you over to the bed, taking a few uncoordinated steps through the room before he reached down to grasp the back of your thighs. Your lips disconnected as he lifted you off the ground in a swift move, your legs automatically wrapping around his waist while your head tilted down to kiss along his neck.
"God, baby," he mumbled, his knees digging into the mattress as he crawled on the bed and bent over to carefully lay you down. The way you looked up to him with those dark eyes after he had carefully laid you down on the bed had him swallowing heavily, the realization that he had you all to himself this time making him more excited than it should. "Do you even know how desperate I am for you?" he groaned quietly.
The way you mischievously grinned at him made his length twitch, keeping one hand in his hair while the other slowly traced down his chest, the feeling of your nails through the fabric of his T-shirt giving him goosebumps. "How desperate?" you whispered, a challenging expression written in your eyes.
Bracing a hand beside your head, he kept his eyes on you as he blindly reached for your hand on his stomach to slowly guide it further down, seeing the way your eyes filled with excitement and having to hold back a grin himself. You bit your bottom lip as he brought your hand to a stop on his crotch, his eyelids fluttering as you immediately palmed his hard cock through his jeans. "How desperate?" he repeated, his voice cracking for a short moment as you applied the perfect amount of pressure. "So desperate that I haven't been able to forget about you since that night," he murmured, his heart skipping a beat as you moved to unbutton and unzip his jeans. "So fucking desperate that I actually caught myself moaning your name when I jerked off. Every single time," he told you, grinning as you released a quiet whimper. The feeling of your hand shoving under his jeans to tease him over his boxers instead had him momentarily distracted. "It's so hard to forget how good you felt," he murmured with a quiet groan, his hips bucking into your touch.
He wanted to chuckle as you pulled your hand out from under his jeans to quickly tug his T-shirt off, your fingers immediately eagerly exploring his bare skin.
Straightening his spine so he kneeled between your legs, he watched with darkened eyes as you sat up and pushed the waistband of his jeans and boxers down with a seductive grin on your lips. He tightly bit his bottom lip as his length sprung free and you immediately wrapped your hand around his base, giving him no warning before you already leaned in. His loud groan filled the hotel room as your lips wrapped around his flushed tip, collecting the drop of precum by brushing your tongue over his slit before you took him in deeper. "Oh my- fuck, baby," he whimpered and gently brushed your hair back, cupping the side of your head as you pulled back to pay more attention to his sensitive tip.
His head tilted back and his eyes fell closed as he completely concentrated on the way you used your mouth just perfectly on him, somehow knowing all the spots to lick to drive him absolutely insane. Moving a hand to cup the back of your head, he didn’t have any intentions with the motion, but apparently it was a sign for you.
He immediately noticed the way you put your hands on his thighs and how you parted your lips a bit more around him. Looking down on you, he met your blown eyes as you patiently waited while he hesitated. His breath hitched in his throat as he slowly moved his hips forward, your throat relaxing around him and taking him deeper until your nose touched the perfectly trimmed pubic hair. He mumbled your name under his breath over and over as he slowly started to fuck your mouth, his eyes stuck on you, complete fascination written in them. "Fuck, you're so good to me," he sighed, his fingers tangling into your hair at the back of your head.
He was so captivated watching you take all of him that he barely noticed his high approaching until it was almost too late. "Okay, fuck. Stop," he chuckled breathlessly and reluctantly pulled his hips back, immediately missing the warmth of your mouth around him. The way you looked up to him with slightly watery eyes and wet lips made him want to just thrust back into your mouth, but he forced himself to sit back on his heels.
His hands gently combed through your hair while you brought your hand up to wipe the spit off your chin, a grin spreading over both of your faces. "Next time I want to finish that," you told him. His heart skipped a beat at the thought that you actually wanted to do this again, his features softening as he looked at you with fond eyes. But then you shook your head. "Oh no, Mendes. Don't go all Bambi eyes on me now."
He chuckled, slowly nodding his head as he got up. "Noted," he grinned and stepped over to the suitcase to quickly dig a condom out of one of the inside pockets before he approached the bed again. Tossing the little square on the mattress beside you, he watched as you pulled your T-shirt off while he pushed his jeans and boxers off and kicked them aside.
Letting yourself fall back so you laid flat on your back, you undid your jeans and wriggled out of them while he grabbed the bottom of them and swiftly tugged the denim off your legs. "This," he murmured while he crawled back above you, a finger hooking into the waistband of your thong that matched to your bra, "looks stunning on you."
A blush spread over your cheeks, your hands reaching for him as he settled above you and nudged your legs apart with his knees. His lips met yours in a soft kiss that turned passionate within seconds, his hands slowly tracing over your thighs before he guided them around his hips. You smiled into the kiss as you lightly lifted your hips off the bed so you rubbed your core against his rock hard length and felt one of his palms immediately cup your butt like he wanted to help you.
You released a contented sigh as he pulled back to instead kiss down your neck to your chest, your hands in his hair again as he kissed down the valley between your breasts while he brought a hand between your legs. The way he rubbed your clit through the fabric had you quietly moaning his name, a groan rumbling in his chest as he noticed that you had soaked through your thong already. "Mmmmh, Shawn," you hummed and rocked your hips against his hand, feeling the way he smiled against your chest.
He was so much smoother than you had expected as he took your thong off, his lips finding yours again while his fingers started to slowly explore. You moaned into his mouth as the pad of his finger touched your clit in such a light touch that you would’ve never expected that it would feel good, but it made you tremble beneath him. And you couldn't stop yourself from harshly tugging on his hair as he slowly pushed two of his fingers into you, his lips disconnecting from yours as he gasped while you squirmed beneath him, your back arching off the bed.
His head dipped down to place a trail of soft kisses down your chest again, over your stomach before your eyes widened and you scrambled to tug him back up, his fingers moving inside of you in the most sensual and perfect way you had ever experienced. "What's wrong?" he breathed and looked down on you with concerned eyes, already about to pull his fingers out of you as you gave him a warm smile.
"Nothing. Everything is perfect. But I'll come in less than a minute if you go down on me now," you told him, a grin spreading over his lips that got even bigger as he crooked his fingers and got a gasp from you.
"That sounds like a challenge I should accept," he chuckled, but he could see that you were silently begging him to continue instead. Finding your lips in a few more kisses, he kept moving his fingers in all the right ways before he slowly pulled them out. "You really want this?" he whispered and leaned his forehead against yours, a smile spreading over your lips as you moved your hands from his hair to instead cup his face.
Tilting your head, you captured his lips in a kiss that he didn't hesitate to return, letting you take the lead as you slowly licked into his mouth while his hands started to trace over your sides. "I really want this," you told him, your voice barely above a whisper.
Placing a few more kisses over your jaw, he slowly hooked a finger around the clasp at the front of your bra between the cups. "Made it easy for me, baby?" he grinned and fumbled with the clasp for a second- his cheeks turning rosy immediately- before he got it undone. You wanted to tease him for it, but you kept your mouth shut as he tugged the bra off your body, an expression on his face like Christmas had come around earlier this year.
His gaze just briefly met yours before he leaned down, placing two or three kisses over your boobs before he opened his mouth against your skin- just to blow a raspberry on your chest. "Shawn!" you laughed and squirmed beneath him, your hands tugging on his hair as you tried to pull him back, "you're such a child!"
"I'm sorry," he giggled, "it was way too tempting not to do it."
You raised an eyebrow at him. "You're not sorry at all."
"You're right. That was a lie. I'm not," he responded with a shrug and a sheepish grin, his hands settling on your sides as he looked down on you with loving and carefree eyes. "Did I ruin the mood with that?"
"Maybe just a little," you grinned. "But you could always try to bring the mood back."
Biting his bottom lip to hold back the smirk, he reached over to the side to grasp the condom, wasting no time to rip the wrapper open and getting it out before he skillfully rolled it over himself. His chest pressed against yours as he leaned over you, his lips finding yours again. You weren't sure if it was possible to get addicted to kisses, but if it was, then you could totally see yourself getting addicted to his. And of course he managed to bring the mood back in no time by simply kissing you, your hands soon greedily grasping at his waist as you tried to somehow give him the signal to get on with it without having to stop kissing him.
He reached for your hands, his fingers lacing through yours while he stretched your arms up, resting your intertwined hands on the pillow while he shifted, your surprised moan muffled into his mouth as his cock pushed against your clit. His hips slowly moved so his length slid back and forth between your folds, your hands squeezing his as he gave you a perfect friction against your clit.
It only took a shift of his hips and a little tilt of yours for him to easily slide into you, his lips pulling away from yours to instead rest them against your jaw where he panted against your skin while slowly pushing in deeper. You quietly moaned his name and dug your nails into the back of his hands as he let you feel every inch of himself, your heaving chest arching and your legs spreading further apart. He squeezed your hands as his hips bumped against yours and he stopped moving, reveling in the way your walls hugged him so perfectly.
Moving to rest his forehead against yours, he took a deep breath, his eyes closed. "Did you miss me?" he whispered and slowly forced his eyes open to meet your dilated ones. It wasn't cocky. The longing written in his eyes was a clear sign that he had missed you like this.
You didn't hesitate to nod. "So much," you breathed and let your eyes fall closed as he slowly pulled back.
He stopped with only his tip still inside of you and placed two soft kisses on your cheek. "Look at me, baby," he whispered, "please look at me."
He didn't need to wait for long before you opened your eyes again. The way pure pleasure filled your features as he moved back into you with a smooth thrust was something he never wanted to forget again, so convinced that this would be the only thing he would think of while getting off for probably a long time. "Fuck, Shawn," you whimpered and shifted your hips beneath him, creating a better angle that allowed him to thrust just a bit deeper into you.
As much as he wanted to pound you into the mattress and have you screaming his name, he forced himself to take this slow. He had sworn to himself- a couple of days after the threesome when he had found himself all alone in his hotel room with his hand wrapped around himself- that he would take his time with you if he ever got the chance to have you like this again. And that was exactly what he did.
The atmosphere in the room was sensual as he made sweet love to you, both your and his moans and whimpers quiet like you were scared of ruining the mood by making a too loud sound. But you didn't feel like you needed to cry out his name for him to know that you were absolutely enjoying this. He knew.
It took a long time for you to come, but when you did it was drawn-out. The way he continued with the gentle and deep thrusts had you clenching around him over and over again while you whimpered his name so many times, the feeling combined with the sounds you made pushing him so much closer to his orgasm.
His hands squeezed yours and his face pushed against the side of your neck as he reached his high, his thrusts turning a bit sloppy as he quietly moaned before he stilled deep inside of you, his length twitching a few more times. He slowly relaxed on top of you with a deep sigh and moved his hips to pull out of you, his head lifting to look at you.
Your cheeks were beautifully flushed and your chest was moving with the quick breaths that left your parted lips, a small smile spreading over your lips as you met his satisfied and slightly exhausted eyes. Leaning in, he captured your lips in a chaste kiss while he released your hands, your arms immediately moving to wrap around his neck. A hand placed on the back of his head while the other held on to his shoulder, neither of you ready to pop the afterglow bubble yet.
But eventually the sticky condom clinging to his softening length became a little bit too uncomfortable. Pulling away from you, he placed another soft kiss on your jaw before he pushed himself up on shaky arms and climbed off the bed, leaving an unwanted cold behind.
He was back within seconds though, quickly joining you again and laying down beside you, pulling your relaxed body against his while he kissed you again. And again. And again.
You knew that all of this was dangerous territory, but at the same time you felt so safe and content wrapped up in his arms while he stole soft kisses from you that you couldn't bring yourself to pull away to get dressed and leave. "Stay with me tonight?" he whispered between kisses.
You knew you shouldn't. But you also knew that you couldn't forgive yourself for the heartbroken look in his eyes if you left.

Club Immortality
Rating: T
Pairing: Havolina/Jean Havoc x Rebecca Catalina
Disclaimer: I don’t own Fullmetal Alchemist.
Word Count: 2696
Title: Club Immortality
Description: Havolina One Shot – modern au
Rebecca and Riza are having a girl’s night at Central’s hottest club, Club Immortality, to celebrate Rebecca’s new job. Things get interesting when Rebecca’s phone goes missing and she enlists one of the bouncers to help her find it.
A/N: A very old request by both @random-rave and @royaigarbage. #13 - “I could kiss you right now!” from these prompts.
ffn || ao3
Rebecca
I take another sip of my drink and throw my head back, my hips swaying in time with the deep bass. The music is loud, the alcohol is strong, and the lighting is low—exactly perfect conditions for a night out. There are bodies everywhere because the club is packed, but I don’t care. I’m here to drink and to dance.
I steal a look to the edge of the room where Riza is still sitting at the bar. She’s supposed to be celebrating with me, but she’s still on her first drink. I wave to her, but she shakes her head. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised that she’s over this scene since she spends so much time here, considering her boyfriend is the owner, but I can’t let that stop me from having some fun.
The song changes, and a smoke machine releases thick clouds from the ceiling, obstructing my view of her. Turning to the crowd, I lose myself in the moment, my body moving on its own. I make eye contact with a criminally attractive hot guy a few feet away and he moves closer, his large body crowding mine as the loud beat vibrates through us. I feel a trickle of sweat drip down my temple, and I reach up to lift my hair off my neck.
The guy’s hand finds my hip, holding me closer. I bite my lip and look to the ceiling. His head leans down until his nose brushes my exposed ear. I gasp, shutting my eyes as his tongue runs along the column of my neck.
“You taste like sex,” he rumbles into my ear. “I want it.”
I shake my head and playfully shove him, turning my back. His hand moves with me, sliding around to my pelvis, moving up my ribs. I lean my head back onto his shoulder and sway with him, my fingers running up his neck.
“Wanna get out of here?” he asks loudly to be heard over the music.
“Not yet,” I answer somewhat truthfully.
I don’t plan on leaving with him at all. I’m here with Riza, after all. Right now, I’m just having a little fun.
“If you say so.”
His hands go to my hips, pulling me back against him. I gasp at the feel of his boner against my ass. I frown and roll my eyes before reaching behind me and sliding my hand down between us. He grunts as I palm him over his pants, using the distraction to turn to face him again. With my hand still on his crotch, I lean up and shout in his ear.
“I’ll let you know when I want this, got it?”
He grins devilishly, and I suppress another eye roll, his hands sliding around my back. I let him fist my hair as I trail my fingers up and down his chest. After another song, I use my empty drink as an excuse to leave the floor. When I make it back to Riza, I feel sticky and out of breath.
“You okay?”
“Just a little overheated,” I gasp with a smile, fanning myself with my hand as I slide onto the stool beside her.
And a little aroused. I knew I wasn’t taking Hot Guy home tonight, but that doesn’t mean what he was doing to me wasn’t effective as hell at making me wet.
“You looked like you were about to be arrested for public indecency,” Riza chimes in.
“This is a private club,” I remind her. “As the owner’s girlfriend you should know that.”
“That doesn’t make it a sex club,” she points out, sipping her drink. “And I really don’t love the idea of having to explain to Roy why my best friend got thrown out for having anonymous sex on the dance floor.”
“Calm your tits, Riza. Sex with that guy was never on the table.”
“He didn’t seem to know that.”
“Yeah, well…he didn’t need to.” I shrug.
“Hey, what time is it?” she asks suddenly. “We can’t stay out too late. I need to check on Hayate, and you have work in the morning.”
“Oh, let me check.”
It wouldn’t do for me to finally get the P.A. position I wanted only for me to fuck up and lose it by being late on my first day. Sliding the hem of my dress up my thigh, I reach for my phone in the lace holster I’m wearing except…
“Hey, have you seen my phone?” I turn back to Riza and scan the floor around where we’re standing.
“What?” she frowns. “I thought you had it.”
“So, did I.” I show her my empty thigh band, and she blinks.
“Where did you have it last?”
I reach up and lift my hair off my neck with both hands, still scanning the ground. “I don’t know. Out there I guess.”
I look out into the sea of grinding, rolling, sweating bodies as the music swells around us. This isn’t good.
“Do you think he took it?”
“What?” I frown.
“That guy, the one you were all over. Do you think he could’ve taken your phone?”
I blink and suddenly remember his fingers trailing up my thigh while his teeth nipped at my ear. I wasn’t even thinking about my phone, but now…
“I think so, maybe.” I nod. “I’m not sure, but how do we find him anyway?”
There’s no way I’ll be able to track him down inside that throng.
“We could try calling it?” she suggests, handing me her phone.
I start to pick my name off of her favorites when I stop.
“He took it on purpose. Why would he answer it now?”
“Maybe he’s trying to get your attention?”
I roll my eyes and call my phone. If he is trying to get my attention, this is a stupid way to do it.
“Straight to voicemail,” I mutter darkly, handing the phone back to her. “Shit.”
“Okay, come with me. I have an idea.”
I don’t bother asking what it is, because anything she can think of is better than the pile of nothing I have to offer.
God. I would get my phone stolen by a hot guy the night before I start my new job, but, in my defense, I didn’t think “criminally attractive” meant he was actually a criminal!
Riza leads us to the far side of the dance floor where private booths are set up on a roped-off platform for priority guests. There are bouncers standing by to make sure only guests with VIP access gain entry. Of course, her boyfriend. Why didn’t I think of that? Though I’m not sure what he’s going to do, exactly.
“Which booth is he in?” I ask her as we get closer.
“What?” She frowns at me.
“Your boyfriend. Which one?”
“Oh, no,” she stops near one of the entrances. “Roy isn’t here. He didn’t want to steal your thunder tonight, so he’s working from home.”
“What?” I blink at her, momentarily distracted from the panic of having my phone stolen. “What does ‘working from home’ even look like for a rich night club owner?”
“Drinking whiskey and watching HBO, I assume,” she mutters. “I’ll find out after we get your phone back.”
“Right.” I nod. “So…what are we doing over here then?”
“Havoc,” she says loudly to the bouncer beside her. “This is my friend, Rebecca.” She signals toward me, and I step closer.
Holy shit. Bouncer Guy is HOT. Like, I wasn’t really paying attention before because, well, phone stolen by a literally criminally hot guy, but whoa. Not only does he have hair exactly my preferred shade of golden blonde and a jaw line that could cut diamonds, but he is ripped. Like, his entire torso—chest, shoulders, arms—is positively Herculean, and his black shirt does nothing to hide it, which is probably good since he’s supposed to be muscle here.
“Um, hi,” I semi-shout over the pounding bass when I realize they’re both staring at me, waiting for me to say something. “Havoc,” I add, shifting my weight.
“Jean.” He grins, and I let out a tiny gasp when I feel a spasm between my legs. “What can I do for you ladies?”
A thousand dirty responses flash through my mind at his question. Luckily, I don’t say any of them.
“An asshole stole my phone,” I tell him loudly.
His eyebrows rise and he turns to look at Riza, crossing his arms.
“What happened?”
“She was dancing.” Riza throws a hand out toward the pulsating crush of people. “He came up to her; they danced together, and at some point, he snatched her phone.”
He looks back over at me, his eyes traveling up…and then back down. Another spasm. Damn his stupidly blue eyes. They can see straight through me.
“Where?” he asks suddenly, still looking me over.
I blink.
“What?”
“Where was your phone?”
I feel my cheeks go slightly pink, but I try to ignore it.
“Here.” I thrust out my leg and slide the fabric of my dress up, revealing in the empty holster.
“Aha…” he says slowly, meeting my eyes. “And you didn’t notice it?”
“We were kind of…physical while we were dancing,” I explain as I stand and adjust my hem. “Anyway, can you help me?”
“Maybe. Follow me.”
Jean leads us away from the noise to an almost invisible door on the back wall. It leads to a hallway, which has other doors, one of which leads to a security office of some kind. Jean ducks inside and pulls out a chair in front of a computer screen and waves for me to sit down.
“Look through this footage and tell me when you see your guy.”
Leaning over me from behind, he pulls up the cameras from the front door and starts replaying it from the beginning of the night.
“I’m gonna call Roy really quick,” Riza says suddenly. “I’ll be back.”
She slips out the door, and Jean leans down more, his arm brushing my cheek as he shifts the mouse.
“Anything yet?”
“No, not—wait! That’s him! That’s the hot guy!”
I point to the dark man on the screen.
“Really?” he asks with more than a hint of surprise. “You’re sure?”
“Yeah. Of course.”
“So that’s your type then?” he mutters, with an annoying amount of judgement. “Circle sunglasses and a fur-lined vest?”
“What? No!” I crane my neck to glare at him. “Shut up. Who asked you anyway?”
He laughs softly, and I feel like growling. It’s not like he was wearing the glasses and vest when we were dancing. If we were, I clearly wouldn’t have been into it. Ugh.
“Move over, sweetheart.”
I open my mouth to tell him not to call me “sweetheart” when he shoves my rolling chair aside and starts doing things to the computer. When he stands up, he grabs my hand and pulls me to my feet.
“I sent his face out to all of our guys. If anyone sees him, they’ll hold him, so if he hasn’t already left the building, we can probably get your phone back.”
“Really?” I whisper. “You can?”
“Sure.” His pocket vibrates, and I watch him slide out a slim black phone. “Looks like we caught him already. Let’s go.”
Taking my hand again, he leads us back to the main room and around to the bar.
Where Not-So-Hot Guy is sitting, waiting for a drink.
“Excuse me, are you–”
“Give me my phone, jerk,” I interrupt from behind Jean.
“I’m sorry,” Not-So-Hot Guy grins slowly. “What was that?”
“Mr. Rice?” Jean asks, moving in front of me. “It seems this young lady lost her phone earlier. She seems to think you might have located it.”
The guy pretends to think and gives his head a small shake before raising a finger to his lips.
“Hmm. I don’t remember finding a phone. Sorry, but I don’t think I can help you.”
“I know you have it,” I hiss.
“Just hand over the phone, and I won’t have the owner eighty-six you for life,” Riza moves up beside Havoc and crosses her arms.
Not-So-Hot Guy whistles low as he appraises her.
“I’m not really sure you’re in a position to make such a threat, but damn you look fine doing it.”
“As his girlfriend, I think I’m in a pretty good position.”
“Oh, you’re Mustang’s girl?” his eyes glint. “Care to share what other positions he puts you in?”
Riza tenses, and Jean steps forward.
“I think that’s enough. Before I escort you out, I’m going to have to search you.”
“Search me?” Jerkface stands up, a sneer twisting his features. “I don’t think that’s legal.”
“Legal or not it’s policy to prevent guests from being robbed, so unless you care to produce that phone now, I–”
“Just hand it over, creep.” I step out from behind Jean and glare at the guy. “Why do you want it so badly anyway?”
“Oh, did you say a phone?” he feigns realization. “I found one of those earlier. Actually, I was just about to give it to this nice bartender here.”
His eyes are seething behind his false smile as he pulls my phone out of his pocket. I snatch it, and move away from him, checking to make sure it’s all right.
“See, that wasn’t so hard,” Jean smirks at him. “But since you insulted Ms. Hawkeye, I’m afraid I’m going to have to have Breda escort you out.”
“What? That’s bullshit! I gave her damn phone back–”
The stout bartender comes around and grabs the guy by the scruff of his collar and starts dragging him to the door. When he’s gone, Riza’s phone rings. She walks away to answer it, leaving me alone with Jean.
“Is everything there?” he asks over my shoulder.
“What? Oh, yes.” I hold up my phone. “God. I have no idea what I would do without this thing. Seriously, I could kiss you right now!”
He blinks, and I feel heat rush into my face.
“Not that I—I didn’t mean–”
“Hey, if you’re offering,” he interrupts, lowering his head to mine, “I’m not going to stop you.”
I stare at him, unable to formulate a response to that.
“I’ll take that as a ‘no,’ for now,” he grins slowly.
“What?” I whisper.
His grin spreads wider, and I reach up to put a hand on my chest where my heart is tripping wildly.
“Here’s my number,” he goes on, pulling a business card out of his pocket. “Feel free to call me anytime.” He pauses and meets my eyes before finishing, “Becca.”
“Okay, yeah.” I swallow and nod. “I will.”
“I’ll be looking forward to it.”
He walks away before I can say anything else, and I’m startled by Riza touching my shoulder. How long was I staring after him? It feels like I forgot how to breathe.
“Ready to go?”
“I think so.” I tuck my phone and the business card back into my thigh holster.
She looks past me, and then studies my face.
“You and Jean seemed to be flirting pretty heavily.”
“What? No,” I lie lamely. “That was–”
“You’re right,” she breaks in. “It was more of light seduction than flirting.”
I blink at her, but she grins, and pulls me toward the door.
“Come on. You have work tomorrow, and Hayate is waiting for me. Plus, I know you’re dying to get home so you can text Jean something naughty.”
I start to tell her I wasn’t going to do that, but the look she’s giving me says not to bother. She knows me too well, and yes. Maybe I was considering texting Jean, but he gave me his number, so he probably won’t mind.
When we reach the entrance, I look back and scan for him. I spot him for a split second, and I could swear he winked with that stupidly sexy grin on his face.
Yeah. I’m definitely going to text him when I get home. Luckily, he got me my phone back, so I can.

Denmark/Nyo!Netherlands, modern jobs AU - Mr. Østergaard teaches literature, yet he finds himself in art class with a very interesting model. | approximately 2790 words, rating T | Written for @neddenweek 2019, prompt was ‘work/jobs’ | Also available on Ao3
————————
Maartje van der Velden = nyo!Netherlands Mathias Østergaard = Denmark
————————
ii. work/jobs
When Mathias arrives at school, the first thing he does besides getting himself a cup of coffee is check his schedule. One of the pros of teaching is that his schedule is usually the same each week and he knows what to expect, but one of its cons is that because his schedule isn’t filled to the brim with classes, he sometimes has to pick up classes of his ill colleagues. The school has a policy of not unnecessarily cancelling classes and today just happens to be one of the days he has to stand in for the usual art teacher in his usually free morning.
Sighing to himself, he’s quick to down his coffee in one go despite its scalding heat. The Dane pops a piece of gum in his mouth, the taste of mint teasing his taste buds. He’s well aware of the fact that his students don’t like the scent of coffee early in the morning and frankly, he doesn’t like coffee breath either. Mathias gathers his things and leaves for the art classroom well before the bell rings so he can check around for a programme.
Upon unlocking the classroom, the teacher is greeted with a programme written on the whiteboard, as well as a multitude of artworks by famous artists decorating the walls. Today’s date indicates that all senior year classes will be doing live model drawing. Crap. He hopes the teacher at least left some kind of note or whatever in case of illness. Unfortunately for him, Feliciano was never very thorough when it came to informing his colleagues and the note Mathias finds on the teacher’s desk only reads ‘The students know what to do, please welcome make my model feel welcome!’. Running a hand through blonde tresses, he lets himself sink in the chair behind the desk, head banging against the desk in slight annoyance. He’s never had to stand in for an art teacher, what’s he supposed to do now? He supposes he can just let the students do their thing.
Mathias groans to himself, not noticing the person entering the classroom as he pinches the bridge of his nose. He needs more coffee, preferably extra strong, because it’s too early. The sound of a throat being cleared catches him off guard and the blond almost falls out of his desk chair. “Jesus!” He exclaims, a hand dramatically clutching at his chest when sapphires meet emeralds. The Dane finds himself staring into the eyes of a tall woman with long, dirty blonde hair tied in a braid. He doesn’t recognise her, but somehow her face seems familiar with its high cheekbones and sharp gaze that could kill someone with just one glance. Despite the resting bitch face, Mathias can’t deny that she is beautiful; the grace with which she moves captivating him in more senses than one, even if it’s as simple as brushing a strand of hair behind her ear.
“Sorry, I didn’t mean to startle you.” Her voice is nothing like he expects it to be, it’s rough around the edges and yet still sounds like what velvet feels on his skin. For a moment Mathias is at a loss of words. Where he usually has something witty to remark or just a cheerful comment, he’s gasping like a fish out of water, both shocked and surprised like a deer caught in the headlights. “I--” He inhales sharply, blinking twice before he is finally able to find his voice again. Whatever spell this woman has cast on him slowly wearing off. “It’s quite alright! I’m sorry, I wasn’t expecting you to be…” He trails off, looking her over once again. “Well, this beautiful,” he continues, awkwardly rubbing the back of his neck as he chuckles. The compliment earns him a roll of her eyes as the woman shucks off her coat, revealing loose fitting clothing. “Probably to make it easier on herself to undress,” Mathias thinks to himself, quickly looking at his watch to distract himself from her. They still have about ten minutes before the bell rings and the class will be filled with seniors who’ll barely keep it in their pants, even if she’s a stranger. Now that he thinks about it, Feliciano never did write down who the model was and he himself hadn’t even so much as introduced himself either.
Realising his mistake, Mathias is quick to hold out his hand to her, small grin pulling at the corners of his lips. “How rude of me, I didn’t even introduce myself,” he chuckles, grin growing wider when one of her delicate hands slides into his own more calloused hand. “I’m Mathias Østergaard, I teach literature, but Feliciano is ill so I’ve been assigned his class this period.” The mention of the subject he teaches seems to pique the woman’s interest. “Maartje van der Velden. You’re already aware of why I’m here.” The way her name rolls off her tongue makes him wonder how his name would sound from her lips.
“Well, miss Van der Velden, I have absolutely no clue what I’m doing or what I’m supposed to do, but if I can be of any help, please let me know.” Mathias doesn’t beat around the bush, he isn’t too well-versed when it comes to other arts besides literary art and while he does want to impress the lady in front of him, he doubts lying about being knowledgeable on the subject will get him anywhere. The stern expression with what he’d been greeted with grows soft and a small smile curls the corners of Maartje’s lips. “Feliciano didn’t leave you much to go on, did he?” With a shake of her head, she reaches for the note the art teacher left on his desk. “Typical. I guess you don’t really have to do anything then. Except make me feel welcome.” Mathias isn’t sure if he’s hearing a teasing undertone in her voice, his eyes narrowing slightly at her as he tries to read the woman. “I think I can manage that. In fact,” he pauses, checking his watch again to see how much time they have left. A little over five minutes, he could probably get both of them something to drink before the class comes in. There’s a coffee machine down the hall for the very, very addicted teachers; there are plenty of those running around, including his best friend Lukas.
“How do you feel about nasty dishwater coffee from a machine?” There it is, that Danish charm he prides himself on and it seems that despite the obvious attempts at not wanting to react much, that charm is also getting to Maartje. “Coffee is coffee. I’m not gonna look a gift horse in the mouth,” she answers, attempting to hide another smile. Mathias thinks that she probably isn’t someone who smiles a lot and his chest swells with pride at that thought. “Great! I’m gonna get you your coffee then, if any students come in before the bell rings, could you tell them I’ll be right there? How do you take your coffee?” Maartje nods in response, answering with a simple ‘black’ and the Dane soon finds himself leaving the classroom to get both of them a drink. On his way out he gets rid of the gum in his mouth, favouring drinking shitty coffee with Feliciano’s choice of model; a fine choice, he thinks of both.
When Mathias returns with two steaming cups of coffee a few minutes later, some of Feliciano’s students have already arrived and taken their place in the classroom, setting up their easels. It seems that they’re already aware of what they have to do. Mathias grins as he enters the room, giving the students a cheery “Good morning!” before he makes his way back to the woman who is hopefully waiting on him with her coffee. He makes it back just in time, the bell ringing as he passes over the carton cup to Maartje, the class filling up with students as he does so. “Here you go,” he beams, taking a sip from his own cup. Of course it tastes like shit. Maartje makes a face after she’s taken a sip. “You weren’t kidding about the coffee being terrible,” she grunts in disgust, making Mathias laugh at her reaction. He still has some time to talk to her as the students settle down, too busy with their own conversation to pay attention to their teacher’s flirtations. “Well, I’ll be ‘teaching’ Feliciano’s students until third period, after that there’s a half an hour break. If you want, I could make you some proper coffee,” he explains with a wink, hoping that she wouldn’t mind spending some more time with him. She ponders on her options for a second, appearing like she’s thinking hard on the options laid out before her. “You know what, I’ll let you know then,” she replies, a mischievous glint in her eyes. If Mathias didn’t already think of her as practically oozing sex on legs, he definitely did now. “Alright then. I guess I best start class then.”
And so Mathias starts class, introducing himself and his lovely assistant for these next three periods. Meanwhile, Maartje toes off her shoes, getting ready to strip out of her clothes and take place on the stool placed in the middle of the classroom, surrounded by the easels and students.
“If I’m correct you all know what you’re supposed to do, mister Vargas didn’t leave me any instructions and since I’m really only surveilling this class, please continue with your assignments. Keep in mind that miss Van der Velden is here for you guys to practice for the upcoming exams, so take this as serious as you would mister Vargas’ teaching instead.” There’s a chorus of noise coming from the students before they go about their work, Mathias himself working on checking his own students’ essays and grading them. Occasionally he glances at the model sitting on the stool in just her underwear, his gaze lingering longer than needed. He can’t help but be remotely jealous of his students, wishing that back when he took art class he had Maartje as a model. Every once in a while the Dane glances at her, sometimes catching her gaze, to which she quickly averts hers when he smiles at her. He isn’t sure if he can see a faint blush crawl on her cheeks, but he’s fairly sure that the interest he has in her is mutual to some degree if her reactions are anything to go by.
Halfway through their second period, Mathias announces to the class that they’re allowed to stretch their legs for five minutes and grab something to drink. He knows that having to concentrate for nearly three periods straight is actually too much to ask teenagers and honestly, he wonders what idiot thought it a wise idea to place that many periods of the same class after each other. Some of the students are ready to practically dash out of the classroom, others are less bothered by staying in. During those five minutes that they’re allowed to leave, the teacher walks around the classroom, admiring the work his students made with the various materials they’re allowed to use. He doesn’t notice that Maartje has gotten up from her spot, digging through her bag for a bottle of water and a vest she keeps in there to keep herself warm during the short break. Only when he finishes his round around the classroom and has complimented his students does he go back to her, knowing that he’s still got a few minutes left until they continue their work again. “So, have you made up your mind yet?”
Maartje slowly blinks her eyes, like a satisfied cat as she takes a sip from her water. She perches herself on one of the free tables near Mathias’ desk, crossing her long legs. Honestly, the Dane is doing his best not to let his gaze wander from her feet up to her hips, following the voluptuous lines of her body. He doesn’t know whether she knows just how alluring and attractive she is. “Hmm…” She hums, her expression neutral, no hint of an answer visible. Usually Mathias is pretty good at reading people, but Maartje is a mystery he hopes he can unravel if she gives him the chance. “I have, but I’ll let you know once we’re done here,” she answers him with a nonchalant shrug of her shoulders. “You only have to wait another period and a half, I’m sure you can handle that.” And though he wants a straight answer from Maartje, the woman already has him wrapped around her finger and if it means he has to wait, then he will. “I still have enough essays to check, so I won’t get bored waiting.” And boy, is he glad he does. With that, Maartje slides off the table, her bottle and vest tucked back in her bag. She sits down on the stool again, resuming her previous pose, but not without playfully winking at Mathias. Mathias thinks he’s back in high school all over again, breath hitching in his throat and slacks a little tighter than before.
The wait is dreadfully boring even with the amount of work Mathias has. He manages to finish all of his essays fifteen minutes before time and at that point the students have also started to become restless. They’re talking amongst each other again, no longer focused on their work or just looking at their phones. It’s making the teacher wonder how exactly Feliciano is even able to keep his class going for three periods straight. He supposes the German teacher who’s also the mentor of this class probably had some say in it and the Italian probably told him about his class. Mathias sighs, checking his watch before he shoves his paperwork in his bag. He clears his throat as he gets up from his seat, moving so he’s standing in front of the desk and can lean back against it after he’s gotten the class’ attention.
“Alright, we’ve only got fifteen minutes left before the break starts. I’m noticing most of you have finished your work or at least deemed it enough for now,” he starts, his hands finding their way in his pockets. “Three periods of art is quite a lot, so I’m going to-- Daniel, let me finish first.” He’s interrupted by one of the students who instantly wants to ask if they’re allowed to leave. A lazy grin plays on his lips and Mathias pushes himself off the desk. “I want you all to thank miss Van der Velden for taking her time to be here for you.” Without much thought he snaps his fingers at a student making a comment about the woman probably getting paid for this gig. While this isn’t usually how he’d correct a student, Mathias is quite tired of reading and he really wants that coffee he promised Maartje-- if she wants to join him. “After you’ve done that, you may clean up and leave for break.”
There’s a cheer from the class and they instantly go to cleaning up. They’re faster than he expects them to be and within five minutes the class is back in its previous state, students dashing out of the room after a quick goodbye and occasional thank you. Mathias shakes his head, turning his gaze to Maartje who’s gotten dressed again. “Not even a proper thank you, if it’s anything, I want to thank you for your time,” he chuckles, bag on his shoulder. “It’s fine. They’re teenagers, I wasn’t expecting it anyway. Plus, the kid was right. I do get paid for this.” There’s a smirk playing on Maartje’s lips as she ties her shoelaces. “So, about that coffee. I hope your coffee is as good as you say it is and that mouth of yours isn’t just there to look pretty.” Mathias perks up, cheeks heating up at the comment tossed at him. Pretty and a sharp tongue on her, something he likes more than he wants to admit to himself. “Oh, it’s definitely not just there to look pretty, if you know what I mean.” He winks at her and this time it’s her turn to have her cheeks flush a pretty pink at the innuendo. “Well then… I guess I’d like that coffee then.” She chews on her bottom lip for a second, eyeing the door before flicking her gaze back to meet azure eyes. “And I’d definitely like to find out whether that mouth isn’t just there to look pretty.” Mathias thinks this is perhaps the best day in his entire career. “It’s a date then.”

~~~
(Y/N)'s POV
I dragged myself out of bed and downstairs to the dining room where my younger adoptive brothers; Dick and Jason were along with my adoptive father; Bruce,
"Morning all" I yawned as I sat down,
"Lazy as ever, I see. Glad to know somethings don't change" Dick commented, I narrowed my eyes at him,
"Yeah not everyone wants to suddenly grow a mullet and wear feathers as a costume" I retort making Jason snicker,
"Well-"
"Enough. You're both old enough to stop this childish arguing" Bruce interrupted Dick, I smirked before Alfred set my breakfast in front of me,
"Thanks Alfred" I say before tucking into it,
"Today, Miss (Y/N) I will be teaching you how to drive" Alfred announced, my eyes widened as I swallowed my mouthful
"What?!" I exclaimed alongside my brothers,
"After your breakfast, I will be taking you out, for you to learn how to drive" Alfred repeated, I nodded and finished my plate before running up to my room, washing and changing into some clothes before making my way back down, I approached Alfred who was stood at the garage door.
***
After the lesson, which to Alfred's amazement I managed to pick up quite quickly,
"So, how did she do?" Bruce asked as he came down the stairs,
"Exceptionally well, sir. I'll presume she will be ready to pass in another couple of lessons" Alfred informed making me smile
"I'm glad to hear. Well I must be off. Business calls. Wally's here with Dick and Jason's in his room. You're in charge" Bruce informed as he left with Alfred following, I made my way down to the Cave, where Wally and Dick were
"Bruce says I'm in charge" I stated to Dick making him groan,
"I don't need a babysitter!" He snapped, I gave him a warning glare
"I didn't say I was your babysitter. I was just alerting you that I'm in charge" I snap back as I leaned on the railing looking down at him,
"How are you not thrilled?!" Wally exclaimed as he appeared next to me, "(Y/N)'s way less stricter than Bruce. You'll be able to get away with so much stuff" He continues as he wrapped an arm over my shoulders, "And a massive plus is that's she super hot" he complimented sending me a wink, Dick groaned as I rolled my eyes,
"Thanks Wally. Just behave" I say before leaving the Cave and making my way to Jason's room, I knocked on the door
"Yeah?!" He called from inside,
"Bruce and Alfred are out. You want to bake?" I asked as I popped my head around the door, a smile appeared on his face as he ran towards me, grabbed my hand and lead me down to the kitchen making me laugh.
***
I sighed as I arrived at an abandoned garage, or what was abandoned, it now was occupied by my car, I went inside and smiled as I turned on the lights and pulled back the cover revealing my beauty, I climbed inside and revved the engine to life, the large garage door opened and I drove out before closing the doors and making my way to the race meet up. I arrived and people made a pathway for me to park up and get out,
"Ah there you are. I thought you weren't going to turn up" Nico commented as he made his way over to me, I chuckled and clasped hands with him and gave him a 'bro-hug'
"What can I say? I like to make an entrance" I smirk as I leaned against the bonnet of my car, everyone was talking and examining engines while we waited for the clear on the roads, before people began to panic and leave making me raise an eyebrow,
"It's Batman! Scatter!" Someone yelled making my eyes widened as I climbed into my car, I sighed and picked up my radio,
"Nico, I'm gonna keep Batman distracted make sure everyone gets out" I ordered,
"Copy that (Y/N). Good luck" he replied before I revved my engine and pulled out of my spot and drove towards the Batmobile, I stopped a couple metres away from it blocking its path from going any further, once the last car exited the alleyway I placed my car into reverse,
"Let's see what you've got Bruce" I smirked before backing out of the alley, spinning on to the main road and quickly getting into first and driving away, moving up the gears when necessary, I checked my rear view mirror to see the Batmobile following, I chuckled and made a quick left followed by an immediate right and then speeding down the road, I pressed for my garage door to open just as I turned on to the street, I spun into the garage and shut off the engine as the door closed, I removed the keys from the ignition and climbed out of the car, I hummed as I stood at my work bench, staring at my beauty before covering it up and leaving the garage.
***
"That street driver was something else" I overheard Jason say as I woke up, I groaned as I stretched and climbed out of bed,
"Whatever you say Jason" Dick dismissed as he entered his room as I exited mine, Jason punched his door
"I'm not lying! You're such a Dick!" He snapped, I chuckled
"Hey Jay, what you yelling at?" I asked gaining his attention, he came over to me
"When Bruce and I were on patrol last night there was a street racer that managed to get away from us in the Batmobile" he explained, my eyes widened
"Really? I thought the Batmobile was the fastest vehicle in Gotham" I say as I let him into my room,
"I did to! We obviously thought wrong but then again the driver seemed to know how to drive exceptionally well and knew the streets" he stated, I hummed
"Curious" I commented, he nodded.
***
I was leaning against my bonnet as three large engines came to a stop making me raise an eyebrow as Nico ran over to me
"These Japanese guys want a race with you" He informed, I hummed and followed him over to the Japanese guys, three men stood in front of their cars as women surrounded them,
"You wanted to race me?" I asked as I folded my arms looking at each of them, "Yes. You took the pink slip to our boss' car. We want to win it back" One of them replied, I hummed
"You're gonna have to specify which pink slip it was. I've taken a lot" I smirked, "The Black Bugatti" Another answered,
"Oh that one...yeah you can all race me for it. But what do I get when I win?" I chuckled,
"Trust us, you're not going to win" One said making the other two chuckle, I hummed
"A free race...its extremely rare that I do them but...since I'm feeling extra generous today I'll allow it" I answered they all smirked and glanced at each other giving affirmative nods,
"Hey the roads are clear!" Someone announced making the four of us get into our cars and drive to the start line, as the line girl stood in the middle undoing her neck scarf,
"You ready?" She asked we all revved our engines in response, "Ready...Set...Go!" She yelled and we all took off, myself immediately getting into first, I chuckled as I turned the corner on to the largest straight stretch road, I raised an eyebrow as the Japanese got level with me then one used their NOs boost to get in front of me,
"Way too early" I comment before the back of my car was knocked making me swerve slightly, I shook my head "Dirty racers" I growled before I was knocked again sending me slightly off course, luckily I managed to regain control, and catch up quite easily, "This isn't a race this is a f*cking assassination attempt" I stated as I knocked again, I growled as I picked up my speed to catch up with the guy in front, we came up to the corner for the next street and as I drifted into it, the two cars from behind both went on the inside of me, clipping the front and back of my car before I blacked out.
***
"Where am I?" I groaned as I held my head waking up to bright lights, an annoying buzzing sound caught my attention as I looked to my left and saw a middle aged woman pressing her alarm,
"What is it Mrs Holiday?" A nurse asked as she came in, Mrs Holiday pointed to me making me raise an eyebrow as the nurse looked at me,
"Holy...I'll be just a second Miss Wayne" the nurse said before disappearing, a doctor followed by two nurses entered the room and came over to me,
"Hello Miss Wayne, it's a relief to see that you're finally awake" the doctor greeted,
"What do you mean finally awake? Who are you and where am I?" I questioned,
"My Name is Doctor Hellen Olive and you're in Gotham hospital after a hit and run which placed you in a coma for three years" She introduced, I raised an eyebrow
"What do you mean hit and run?" I asked, they all gave each other a worried look
"I'll explain more later but for now I need to check you over. Alright?" Doctor Olive states, I slowly nodded and she began examining me
***
"(Y/N), thank god you're awake" A middle aged male exclaimed as he entered the room with a young male and a boy, with Doctor Olive following close behind
"I'm sorry, who are you?" I asked, they all looked to Doctor Olive,
"She seems to have a serious case of amnesia and cannot remember anything. I'm sure it'll come back to her eventually but for now take it easy feeding her information again" Doctor Olive explained, they all exchanged a look and nodded,
"Is she alright to come home?" The middle aged male asked, she nodded
"Yes. I'll go get the papers for you. She'll have to come up for regular checkups for the next couple months" She said before disappearing, he cleared his throat turning to me,
"I'm Bruce Wayne, your adoptive father. And these are your adoptive brothers; Dick and Tim" Bruce introduced, I nodded.
***
I had been 'home' for a week and everyone has been treating me like fragile glass, I was also told that I had another adoptive brother, Jason, who was killed in a tragic accident, I made my way down for breakfast where the rest of the family was,
"Morning all" I greeted as I sat down, Alfred placed my plate in front of me and I began eating before a blur of yellow cane through the room and there stood a young ginger male,
"I came as soon as I heard! Why didn't you tell me dude!?" The ginger exclaimed to Dick,
"Wally, she doesn't know!" Dick snapped, Wally looked towards me
"Oh sorry. I'm Wally by the way. Also known as Kid flash" he greeted, I nodded
"Hello. And what don't I know?" I asked Dick, raising an eyebrow, he looked towards Bruce making me let out a sigh of annoyance, "I won't ask again. What don't I know?" I growled, Bruce sighed as he rose up from his seat,
"It'll be easier just to show you" he spoke before leading us all to the grandfather clock, he placed in a time and the door opened revealing the entrance to a cave, we all walked in and I gasped,
"Your Batman..." I trailed off, he nodded, "Did I...? Before the accident" I asked, he shook his head,
"No you refused. You're excuse was that someone needed to be the face of the Wayne name while we all disappeared somewhere" he replied, I chuckled
"That sounds about right...and Jason, it wasn't a tragic accident was it? It was this line of...work" I asserted, he nodded
"You were in your coma for 3 months when it happened" Bruce commented before something appeared on the computer, he sighed "This is going to need all three. Wally, keep (Y/N) company" Bruce ordered.
***
"What are you doing?" Wally asked as he entered the garage, I lifted my head out of the hood of the car wiping my hands on an old towel,
"Fixing up the car" I replied as he approached me,
"Fixing it? But it wasn't broken..." he trailed off, I smirked
"It was too slow for me" I commented making him chuckle,
"Well talking of being slow, would you care to come to dinner with me?" He asked, I raised an eyebrow
"What's that got to do with being slow?" I chuckled,
"Well, I liked you a lot before your accident and I acted too fast on my feelings. So technically I get another shot at this so I'm going slow" he explained rubbing the back of his neck,
"I thought slow wasn't apart of your dictionary" I chuckled as a small smile appeared on my face, he let out a nervous laugh as he shrugged, "I'd love to Wally. Let me get showered and changed then we can go" I say making a large smile beam on his face as he pulled me into a hug,
"I promise you won't regret this" he asserted letting me go.
***
I sighed as I looked towards Tim as he watched Dick and Bruce on the computer, he had to skip out on patrolling because of this Red Hood figure as he had a hatred to him and almost killed him on several occasions,
"Hey babe, what's up?" Wally asked as he planted a kiss on my cheek, I smiled
"I'm worried for Tim...he seems down a lot because of this Red Hood" I replied, he sighed
"Would you like me to try talking to him? Try lighten his mood" he offered, I looked towards him,
"You'd do that?" I asked, he nodded
"Anything for you" he smiled, I returned the smile and gave him a quick peck on the lips,
"Thank you" I say before disappearing upstairs, I headed towards the garage and got into my car, I took off and tracked Bruce and Dick to their location, I hummed as I saw the Batwing overhead the roads as it chased a blue Impala, I wired my radio to connect to the radio line, I followed the Impala into the tunnel which Bruce couldn't follow into,
"Don't worry B. I've got him" I spoke over the radio,
"(Y/N)?! What are you doing? This is dangerous!" He exclaimed, I sighed,
"He's too fast for you, give up while you still can" Dick commented, I chuckled,
"Well its a good thing I'm faster" I replied before putting the radio back and catching up to the Impala,
"(Y/N), it's the Red Hood. Stand down!" Bruce demanded, I rolled my eyes as I continued my pursuit, Red Hood took a quick right down a side track off the tunnel, I followed and was on his tail, I rammed into the back of him,
This isn't a race this is a f*cking assassination attempt
My own voice rang through my head making me raise an eyebrow before we got back on to the streets so I got level with him, he went left a bit before ramming into the side of me making me loose control completely and flipped multiple times, I landed on my wheels and my breathing rate was increased a lot, as my knuckles had turned white from gripping on to the steering wheel too hard, I sighed but the Impala pulled up next to me and the Red Hood got out with a pistol in his hand, he came over to me,
*Flashback*
I got knocked again, I growled as I picked up my speed to catch up with the guy in front, we came up to the corner for the next street and as I drifted into it, the two cars from behind both went on the inside of me, clipping the front and back of my car, I tumble rolled down the wrong road, the screeching of tires came towards me as I stopped, I groaned as fought the concussion, as the three Japanese guys approached
"I guess you won't be winning anytime soon" One said before I blacked out.
*End of Flashback*
I glared up to the Red Hood,
"If you're going to kill me make it quick and make sure you finish me off, the last assassination didn't go to plan" I growled, he seemed to freeze up so I unclipped my seat belt and pushed the car door open as I climbed out, squaring up to him, "What's wrong? Didn't expect a girl to drive so good?" I scoffed,
"You're awake..." he trailed off making me raise an eyebrow
"What gave that away? The fact I'm walking and talking or-" I was cut off as he pulled me into a hug, stunning me,
"Alright who the hell are you?" I demanded shoving him backwards, he sighed and removed his helmet making my eyes widen, "Jason...but you're dead" I stated, he shrugged and placed the helmet on again,
"Was. When did you get out of your coma?" He asked,
"I was in it for three years. Woke up about six months ago" I answered before I noticed the Batwing in the distance, heading towards us, "Get in the car. Now" I demanded as I climbed into the Impala,
"Why are you driving?" He asked as he got in,
"You remember that street racer that got away from you?" I asked as I revved the engine, he nodded "I'm about to show you who it was" I replied before setting off,
"You've just-"
"If you dare say I've missed a turn shut your mouth. I've done these streets countless times. Plus I'm taking you to my garage" I snap cutting him off. We arrived at my garage and I got out locking the doors,
"Wait, why are you helping me?" Jason asked as he removed his helmet, I shrugged
"You're my little brother..." I trailed off, he hummed and it fell quiet, "Wait...what happened to my car that I crashed in?" I asked, he raised an eyebrow
"What car? You were found in the road. It was a presumed hit and run" he answered,
"Japanese bastards" I growled slamming my hand on the desk, I sighed "Anyway you should be alright to hideout here. I'm the only one who knows about it" I say as I went to leave but he tackled me with a hug, I smiled and returned it,
"Thank you..." he trailed off, I pulled away and cupped his cheek before pressing a kiss on to his forehead,
"It's good to have you back Jay" I smiled before leaving.
***
I arrived home and was tackled by a hug from Wally, I sighed and returned it as a smile crept onto my face,
"I was so worried when Bruce found your car smashed up. I thought the Red Hood took you as a hostage" he confessed as he pulled away, I cupped his face
"I'm fine Wally. In fact I'm better than fine. I remember everything" I state as Alfred, Bruce, Dick and Tim came up from the Cave,
"What?" Bruce asked,
"I remember everything that happened before my accident. So if you excuse me, I need to a little investigating" I commented before leaving for the Cave, I sat at the computer and placed a hard drive in and began to copy the whole software onto it.
***
"Hey Jay. I come with Alfred's cooking" I call out as I entered the garage, I set the food on the desk along with my laptop,
"Alfred's cooking? Thank you" he said taking a portion of it and leaning against the desk as I sat down and opened my laptop connecting the hard drive, "What you doing?" He asked as he peered down at the screen,
"Trying to find the assholes who put me in that coma" I replied as I typed in the date and rough time of the accident,
"Bruce already tried..." he trailed off as I brought up the video footage of the race,
"And down this road...boom. There I go" I commented as I watched me fall unconscious, the three Japanese guys removed me from the car, dumping me on the pathway before hooking my car up to two of their's and driving away, a couple minutes later Nico pulled up with a couple other local drivers and put me in his car before taking me away,
"Shit...it wasn't a hit and run. It was an attempted murder" Jason stated, I hummed
"Yup. And if they've still got my car then I can track them..." I trailed off as I typed the tracking code into the laptop, I located them to a scrapyard making my eyes widen, "If my baby's been put to scrap I'll kill them" I growled as I picked up the laptop along with the keys to the Impala, which I'd been upgrading slightly, "You coming?" I asked Jason, he smirked before climbing into the car. We arrived at the scrapyard and I spotted my car so I hopped out and approached it, I felt the hood and the engine was still warm making me raise an eyebrow, I grabbed a pistol from the back of my pants as I headed towards the drivers seat, the keys were still in the ignition, I heard engines in the distance,
"Jason get out. Now" I ordered, he drove out of the scrapyard just as five cars pulled up, I hid next to my car,
"What do you mean it started beeping?! It's not a bomb you idiots!" A male yelled, I smirked and peered over the bonnet to see the same Japanese guys alongside an older male and three bodyguards, "This is one of my most prized possessions and I'll not have some silly beeping make me loose it" The older male stated, I hummed and cocked my gun before standing up and aiming at them,
"It's mine as well" I stated gaining their attention, "That beeping you heard was me tracking you. Did you really think that I wouldn't place a tracker in my own car?" I questioned,
"Idiots! I thought you said you killed her!" The older male exclaimed, I chuckled
"No, they just placed me in a coma for three years" I mused before the three bodyguards were shot at as Jason pulled back into the scrapyard,
"What?! What's going on?!" The elderly man yelled,
"A little something I like to call revenge" Jason answered as he climbed out of his Impala, I hummed
"And I'm wanting to know why you wanted me dead" I growled approaching the elderly man as Jason dealt with the 3 that almost killed me,
"I owned these streets before you came and showed us up! You took our best driver down and our best car! Only to scrap it!" He yelled, I glared at him as I pinned him against one of the cars,
"It was your drivers fault! He was so cocky that he bet his pink slip! I scrap all the cars I win so I can help street kids out!" I snarled, I pushed the pistol under his chin, "But that's more difficult when there's assholes like yourself in the world thinking they're higher than anyone else" I hinted, his eyes widened in fear as I removed the safety off the pistol and cocked it,
"You kill me, my family will come for you!" He threatened, I chuckled
"Let them because I'll be waiting to put a bullet in their brains" I stated before pulling the trigger letting the bullet off, he fell limp against the car so I let go of him and he dropped to the floor.
***
"We don't kill!" Bruce roared making me roll my eyes as I stood up,
"That was years ago! And correction, you're crusader family doesn't! I'm just a citizen! So when the police find evidence allow them to arrest me!" I snapped back squaring up to him,
"You killed someone?" Wally asked from the door frame, I mentally cursed,
"Wally..." I trailed off but he vanished, I sighed turning to Bruce, "You've forgiven Jason multiple times...why am I different?" I asked, he sighed
"You're the only one who wasn't supposed to fall into this darkness" he replied, I scoffed
"Darkness? Let me show you something" I said mentioning him to follow, I lead him into the Cave and over to the computer, I pulled up the footage of my first ever street race, then another race and finally the assassination attempt, "As you can see Bruce, I've been in the darkness for a while...I've just been good at hiding it" I stated, he stared at the computer before turning to me and pulling me into a hug,
"I'm sorry..." he trailed off pulling away, "Go talk to Wally, I'll handle this" he said giving me a reassuring smile, I gave a weak one in return before going to find Wally.
***
I slowly approached Wally who was stood on the pier,
"Do you hate me?" I asked announcing my presence, he turned to face me with confusion,
"Hate you? Why would I hate you?" He asked,
"I killed someone...it's against the hero rules" I replied, he sighed and engulfed me into a hug,
"I can never hate you. I don't care that you killed someone. It's a one off thing, I hope. And I love you so much that I can easily look past it" he replied, I smiled and held him tight, burying my face into his chest, "Look at me a moment" he pleaded, I did so and he gently kissed me "I love you so much, it scares me" he confessed, I pulled him back into a kiss, we broke apart and rest our foreheads against each other,
"I love you too, Wally. So much I don't know what I'd do without you" I replied, he smiled and pulled away before getting on to one knee making me gasp,
"I was going to do this on our anniversary but I feel like now is a more appropriate time. (Y/N), would you make me the happiest man and marry me?" He asked holding out a ring, I nodded
"Of course" I answered, he slipped the ring on before picking me up giving me a passionate kiss, we broke apart,
"So who's family are we telling first?" He asked,
"Mine. Hardest first" I answered, he groaned making me laugh.
Summary: It’s one of the hottest days of the year and even the high tech AC in the Avengers Tower can’t help you beat the heat. Deciding to go down to the pool you realize that the weather isn’t the only hot thing you’ll be experiencing today.
Tumblr media
You were done with the heat. It was 104 degrees outside and even though the tower was fully air conditioned you could still feel it. The sweat dripping down your back and arms was making your skin unbearably sticky and all you wanted to do was dump a bucket of ice down your tank top.
While being a quick way to cool down, it was also very messy; and knowing you, you would probably slip on the inevitable puddle of water that would be on the floor. So instead, you rummaged through a few of your drawers until you found your favorite black bikini. Shedding your clothes, you put it on and threw a short dress over it so you wouldn’t be walking through the tower in practically just your underwear.
Once out of your room, you made your way through the empty sitting room to get to the elevator. Most of the team were out on a mission, and it was just you, Bruce, and Bucky in the tower. You were hoping that this meant that you would get the pool all to yourself since Dr. Banner was probably down in his lab, and you didn’t actually know if Bucky’s arm was waterproof. Knowing Shuri though, it probably was.
You wouldn’t really mind if Bucky was at the pool. The two of you had been getting closer since most nights you were the reason he slept for more than 3 hours at a time. You were able to manipulate a person’s mind in any way you wanted. You offered to help Bucky with his nightmares after you found him in the kitchen at three in the morning for the fourth night in a row. These days, every night before bed you would go into to Bucky’s room to block out the nightmares. It would take you around half an hour but sometimes you would get to talking and before you knew it you had been sitting in his bed with him for hours. This lead to you developing an embarrassingly large crush on him.
The elevator dinged, awakening you from your thoughts and letting you know you had made it to the fitness floor of the Avengers Tower. You walk through the doors to the room with the pool in it and you see that Bucky had the same idea you did to beat the heat. He was in the pool swimming laps and you could see his back muscles rippling through the water from across the room. Just as you’re setting your bag down on one of the lounge chairs, Bucky spots you and swims over, leaning half of his body out of the water. Dirty thoughts run through your head but you push them to the side as Bucky begins to talk.
“Y/N! I thought you were on the mission with everyone else?” He asks.
“Nope, they didn’t really need me for this one so I decided to stay here and relax for a while but this heatwave is killing me.” You reply while joining Bucky in the water. “This is so much better than my bedroom, it was like a sauna in there.”
“Hey, you wanna race?” He suggests with a glint in his eyes that you only see when he’s talking about his time with Steve in the 40s before the war.
“You’re on old man,” you tease already taking off. “Try and catch me if you can!”
“You’re gonna regret that Y/N!” He replies before diving behind you.
You spent the rest of the day like this, messing around in the pool, free of any and all responsibilities. It was getting late though, so the two of you decided to go up to the kitchen to grab some dinner and then watch a movie before bed.
“Let’s go up to our rooms, get changed, and then meet down in the kitchen to get snacks together,” you suggest on the walk to the elevator that would take you up to the section of the tower where you and the other Avengers spent most of your time.
“Sounds like a plan. See you in a few minutes,” returns Bucky as you both step out of the elevator onto the living floor.
After changing into your favorite pajama shorts and tank top you go down to the kitchen and see that Bucky beat you down. He’s standing with his back to you, wearing only a pair of light grey sweatpants, his wet hair pulled back into a low bun. Again you feel yourself melting but this time it isn’t because of the heat.
“Hey Buck,” you call from the kitchen entrance.
“Doll, can you come over here and help me microwave this popcorn? I can’t seem to figure it out.” He asks while fiddling with the little plastic packet.
“Yeah of course, it’s probably not too good of an idea to get your metal arm too close to the microwave anyway. We don’t want to blow up the kitchen.” You take the popcorn from Bucky and start up the microwave while he goes through the cabinets and pulls out a variety of different types of candy for you guys to eat during the movie.
“We’re gonna have to work out extra hard tomorrow morning to make up for all this sugar we’re eating doll.”
“Come on Buck,” you whine. “With all the exercise we did in the pool today I think we deserve a break.” You’re still very aware that you have a half naked Bucky standing in front of you. At the pool it was easier to forget since you had the water to distract you, but now it was all you could think about.
Together you walk towards the screening room where you let Bucky pick the movie. ‘Would it kill you to put a shirt on?’ You think to yourself while getting settled on the couch.
“Why Y/N? Am I distracting you?” He quips with a smirk
“Shit. Did I say that out loud?”
“Yeah Doll, you did, but seriously am I distracting you?”
You know he’s teasing you but instead of teasing back, all of your feelings decide to spill out of your mouth in possibly the most embarrassing word vomit ever.
“Yes Bucky you are distracting me because for some reason you feel the need to walk around half naked when I know you have a closet full of perfectly good shirts up in your room. You distract me all the fucking time whether you try or not and I hate it because I like you so fucking much but you don’t see me like that and I don’t want to ruin anything even though I probably just did so if you need me I will probably be drowning myself in the Pacific Ocean which isn’t even close by so like good luck getting to me!” You blurt out before jumping off the couch, turning on your heels and running out of the room.
Unfortunately, or fortunately as you think later, Bucky being the super soldier he was, caught up to you in the kitchen and grabbed your arm turning you around to face him. Before you can say anything he lifts your face up in his hands and kisses you like he’s been drowning and you were his only source of oxygen. Melting into the kiss, you pull his long hair out of the bun and run your fingers through it while he lifts you up onto the counter while never removing his lips from yours. Weeks of sexual tension had been leading up to this one moment and it was just as satisfying and passionate as you both expected it to be.
You’re the one who ultimately breaks the kiss, needing to come up for air, but you don’t move too far, resting your forehead against his so your lips are just barely touching.
“Hi,” he whispers
“Hey,” you whisper back
“I really like you too by the way. Didn’t know if you could tell,” he says referring to what was probably the best kiss you’ve ever had.
“Bucky?”
“Yeah Y/N?”
“What happens now?”
“I ask you on a date. You say yes. I ask you to be my girlfriend. You also say yes. Then one day I ask you to marry me and we make a bunch of little Buckys and Y/Ns and live happily ever after.”
“How about we just start with that date for now,” you giggle into his lips, leaning in for another kiss that he happily returns.
Nobody can ever be sure of what the future holds for them, but what you both knew that day was that whatever did happen you would face together because if nothing else, you had each other and in the end that was more than enough.
