You realize that Surge has just... lost her motivation?

She was screaming about destroying the world when she first got the Dynamo Cage, but at this point she's just being casual about fueling her power addiction. She doesn’t mention being “superior” to Sonic. She doesn’t mention Starline. Because it doesn’t matter to her anymore.

Her and Kit just hollowly stare at each other before confronting Sonic and Tails, in an utterly emotionally broken state. 

Look at them. They don't even want this. Any of this. They don't care about it at all.

Ian has literally said his view on this is that Surge can't let go of her hate, because it is literally her only identity. If she stands down in front of Sonic, if she gives up fighting him, she is an empty shell with no meaning and no purpose. And the same goes for Kit leaving Surge’s side. He is literally nothing without her.

At this point, their only motivation is spite. They just don't want Sonic to win.

And walking away, letting go, trying to find a new life, responding to what's happened to them in literally any healthy way, is what Sonic told them to do, ergo, it counts as Sonic winning.

After issue 56, regardless of Surge’s mental state, regardless of the fate of the Dynamo Cage, regardless of the status of the duo’s relationship, whichever way all this unfolds, I AM NOT GOING TO BE OKAY.

Where's the line drawn between being a student and being a worker? cause currently I feel more like an unpaid worker but I have a horrible feeling any complaint would be left with "Its experience"

Week 8 is here! This redraw was really fun because I got to focus more on shading, which has quickly become my favorite stage of drawing. Thanks for all the love on these! Can't believe there are only 4 more episodes til the end of season 1

for months I have been unreasonably excited about doing Autumn Things but now that autumn is actually almost here I realize I neglected to consider the fact when you’re a student Autumn Things primarily consist of The Horrors

had a moment of profound frustration looking at bougie winter gear, because i want a fleece that is plastic-free if possible & am in a position to get relatively expensive winter clothes as long as i am confident that i will keep & use them for a long time. anyway came across one which is cream trimmed with elaborate woven bands, described as "nordic," and got mad—those decorative woven bands aren't vaguely nordic, they're specifically saami; sapmi weavers have had to struggle to preserve these traditions in the face of ongoing repression by nordic governments. just absolutely infuriating but not particularly surprising that a vegan, earth-friendly clothing company is so comfortable using indigenous aesthetics without indigenous connections

The first verse based on how Steve sees Eddie, trying to use his old tactics of playing hard to get when Eddie asks him round to watch the movie he rents from family video. Thinking that if he plays his cards right he might finally get Eddie’s attention. Unsure of how to go about it any other way but absolutely knows with certainty that nobody else is going to compare to the strange and endearing guy who’s had Steve’s attention for far longer than either of them realise.

(But the thing is Dustin told Eddie all of the flirting advice Steve tried to pass on. So when Steve changes his initial ‘no’ to an ‘alright’ with a smirk eddie thinks and hopes and prays he might be in with a chance)

The second verse is Eddie watching steve at work and day to day. Completely unsure of how to take the ex-mr popular, convinced that he’s flirting with everybody that comes into his vicinity and it’s either through mercy or for his sins that Eddie is catching the strays. In two minds about what dustin said, is this part of Steve’s game or is it real? But this time when Eddie gets lost in those spiralling thoughts, Steve grabs his hand and smiles at him. Eddie’s flurry of doubt stops and all he sees is the contradiction of Steve with his neck scar and polo shirts.
