Nanami was gone. Your husband, the love of your life and the father of your sons was no longer.

It's been a week since the funeral and you haven't slept properly; you'd just stare blank at the walls, feed Yuji and choso; your two years old and one years old, then lay in bed or on couch and put your sons to bed then stay up all night unable to sleep. The one hour sleep you get are always interrupted by never ending nightmare. You haven't eaten a proper meal since the funeral.

You were staring at the wall sitting beside your bed on the floor when your phone rang, "Hello?" You answered hearing your voice for the first time in a week was surprising to yourself. "Hey, Gorgeous, its Satoru, how are you? Did I wake you up?"

"No, I just woke up an hour ago," Lie. "The lawyer needs to hand you the will he hasn't been able to reach your house number, so he called the numbers from the emergency contact, mine." You rubbed your head, "Sorry, i forgot to put the landlines back. Yeah, I uh, where is he?"

"He said he'd be able to stop by this afternoon if you are okay with that?"

You hummed, "Yes, I will be home. Thank you, Satoru."

"Gorgeous, are you okay?" No one has asked you this since the funeral and you bit your lips before bursting into tears not even bothering to shut the phone as you sobbed your heart out with the phone thrown beside you and Gojo calling for you but your head was blank as you cried for what seemed like hours before you heard the front door unlocked and rushed footsteps made their way to the upstairs bedroom.

It was Gojo, "Oh, sweetie" He sat next to you as you cried. Gojo rubbed your back trying to calm you down but he knew nothing to say that will ease your pain. You just got married three years ago and just had a two kids together and he would never be able to see them grow; that killed you from inside and not even four years in your marriage and your husband was gone; Your dear husband kento Nanami was no longer there for you. You felt alone.

Hearing the cries of Yuji made you flinch from where you sat and Gojo immediately placed his hands on your shoulder, "I'll get him, don't worry, just sit here don't move so fast you might get dizzy." Without another word Satoru left your room to get Yuji as you sat there still sobbing, he came back with Yuji sniffling in his arms and pouting holding back tears, while your two years old; Choso also woke up because of Yuji's cries "he's bit pouty aren't you? You little bug." Satoru was always good with kids especially Yuji and Choso, and he loved both of your kids dearly. Carefully he sat beside you while Choso half asleep made his way into your arms and falling asleep as you held onto your eldest close to your chest, "he misses him so much, Satoru." You said looking down at your little sleepy boy; Choso, he would often stand near the doorway waiting for his dad to come since the funeral, because he would always wait for Nanami to get home and greet him by the door, and now he couldn't understand why he's daddy won't come back.

Before Satoru could say a word the bell rang, "must be the lawyer," you said before getting up Choso in your arms.

“ How long Satoru ?” Suguru awaited his answer. Part of him wishing he was wrong and the other part trying not to crash out. Beforehand, Suguru asked Maya if she noticed Satoru’s longing gazes.

Of course she did. Yet, she ignored him. Paid him dust, kept it cordial and chalked it up to a man who probably didn’t have the proper love and care at home.

And with that Suguru felt like he needed to confront his best friend. Even if he wanted to cry.

“ You’re sitting there in silence and I’m asking you Satoru..how long have you been in love with MY girlfriend.” He said.

“ Since you met her. 5 years ago.” Satoru said softly.

Suguru froze.

“ You’ve been in love with Maya…for 5 years? And you said nothing? When were you going to tell me Satoru ? When a curse took my life ? When you’d comfort her at my funeral ? When Shoko cuts me open ?” He said in a panic.

Satoru was silent again.

“ Answer Me !”

Suguru clenched his fists. “ You’re the strongest. You’re Satoru Gojo. The pride of the Gojo clan, with 2 legendary techniques. It places you above everyone else naturally. I’m 2nd to you, you know that right ? It’s hard to not live in your shadow and as your best friend I don’t complain, I want you to shine and grow. Be who the world needs you to be. But sometimes you’re nothing more than a spoiled rich kid who has never been told no, that grew into an overgrown man child. “

Suguru took a breather, then continued.

“ We’re close, I don’t think I’ve been closer to anyone else in my life. You’re my brother Satoru. I get it we share things but what was the end game here? Think we’d share Maya ? “

Suguru pinches the bridge of his nose. Suddenly picturing his girlfriend. “ She’s uncomfortable now.” He said softly. “ She feels strange. Do you know she’s already uncomfortable being here as is ? She’s in a foreign country, is not a sorcerer, looks nothing like anyone here ! You’ve heard me vent about her family not accepting us or her longing to move back to America. What the hell were you thinking ?”

Satoru took off his glasses. Cerulean eyes lined with tears. “ I have no desire to go after her. I don’t know what my endgame is. But since we’re being honest I don’t know how to move on…not sure if I can. It sounds inconsiderate even insane but she looks at me like I’m just Satoru. Like I’m just me. I love her the same way you —

Suguru furrowed his brows, he couldn’t believe his ears right now.

“ Watch it.”

Satoru sighed deeply. He placed his shades back on.

“ What I’m saying is I’m sorry, for all of this.”

Suguru shook his head and walked towards the door “ Stay away from us, especially HER for now. I won’t ask again. “ he said.

Satoru lowered his head in shame, he agreed. “ Okay Sug I hear you. I will, I understand man. “

And with that the 2 strongest left their friendship right there.

Suguru was long gone when Satoru spoke aloud. Wiping his tears he whispered to no one in particular “ God this is the worst day of my life.”

“SATORU GET IT THE FUCK AWAY FROM ME!”

You love your boyfriend, you really do, but it was times like these when you really asked yourself how you fell in love with him. Sure, he is a very prepossessing guy with a hot and cocky personality. He was strong too and protected you whether you needed it or not. He was also a fun guy to hang around, too childish for his own good, but he could get serious when he needed to be. He was caring too. He always made sure to buy you a little souvenir when he was away on missions. And he would always put your needs before his own.

But when he’s tormenting you with a spider because he thinks it’s funny, all your feelings are tossed out the window. You absolutely loathed him at the moment, and you started to reconsider your whole relationship.

“It’s just a tiny spider y/n. Don’t be a baby. It won’t hurt you.”

“How do you know it won’t? Did the spider tell you that?”

“Yes, as a matter of fact, it did. I can talk to it, and he says he likes you.”

“Bullshit. Now get it the hell away from me! Take it outside!” You kept walking away from Gojo who held the spider in his bare hands. But every time you took a step away from him, he took a step towards you. Granted, the spider was tiny, but you still feared it, even if it was the size of a pea. Spiders were creepy looking and not to mention ugly. Their 8 legs and bulging sets of eyes scared the living shit out of you. You could never fathom the idea of having a spider as a pet. Letting the damn thing crawl all over you, absolutely disgusting!

“Come on y/nnnnn, it’s so cute though! We should keep him as a pet. I’ll name him Nanami Jr.”

“No Gojo! Stop walking towards me you asshat! Take that damned thing outside, now!”

Gojo took another step towards you. Then another, then another big step until you were backed up against the wall. Your back and palms were flattened against the wall as Gojo stood a foot in front of you. Tears began to swell in your eyes, and you started to shake in terror. Gojo wasn’t backing off, instead he started to stretch out his hands, presenting the deadly creature to you. Thinking on your feet, you brought your knee up and kicked Gojo in the balls. Gojo hadn’t been using his infinity, so your knee actually collided with his junk which caused him to double over in pain. His hands immediately flew to his groin, causing him to drop the spider. Gojo went down on his knees as you watched the small bug fall to the floor. You screamed out as you jumped away. Gojo started to whimper in pain as you sprinted back to the living room, hiding behind the sofa.

“Serves you right asshole!” You shouted.

“Owww, okay, I’m sorry, but was that really necessary?”

“Absolutely it was! Now take the damn bug outside or I’ll knee you again!”

“There’s no need. You stepped on Nanami Jr. He’s dead now.” You felt your body relax and you let out content sigh as Gojo got onto his knees and gently picked up the spider. The amount of gentleness Gojo showed to that spider baffled you. He rose to his feet and walked to the front door.

“I’m going to hold a funeral and a proper burial for Nanami Jr. I assume you won’t be attending?”

“Absolutely not. I don’t have remorse for Nanami Jr. Fuck that spider.”

“You’re so mean y/n.” Gojo opened the door and walked out.

Good riddance to that spider.

okay brainrot aside &. expanding on my original ffxiv post from here, i've been playing ffxiv quite a lot even before starting this blog &. while i'd love to write my oc for it, i thought it'd be interesting to put megumi into a slightly happier universe ( though knowing me &. writing, i am no better than gege . . . )

none of his relationships change much from base jujutsu kaisen lore ⸻ still being adopted by gojo satoru, still being close to itadori & kugisaki. the only difference is in my interpretation ( &. due to my partner, who isn't really a tumblr or twitter roleplayer like me, being a sukuna roleplayer ) sukuna would be an ascian.

i still would need to iron out a lot of details but it takes time! also edit later to add megumi gposes here-

without further ado: SPOILER WARNING FOR EVERY EXPANSION! you have been warned! i've been extensively playing this game for the past 3 years &. have 4 ocs for this game so uh... let's say i have a special place for this games lore in my heart.

megumi is a trained summoner &. scholar : retaining the main powers of 10 shadows &. translating that into xiv wasn't difficult seeing that xiv literally has the classes for that. with that, it allows him to also adjust to a defense or offense class at hand. he gets to summon 2 carbuncles, his two shadow dogs in the form of carbuncles ⸻ though they are not stronger than a singular carbuncle &. can even fuse into one when needed. aether filled puppies is what yuji would describe them as. all his summons are based on the 10 shadows regardless of what eikons they are. ( garuda = nue // ifrit = piercing ox // titan = tiger funeral, we never learned what this one is so uh... might as well touch that one. this one is gonna need a lot of ironing out to translate into xiv. )

megumi is a veena viera : " raised " by his clan leader eldest in othard's mountain forest ranges after his mother had passed &. the father usually being gone after the mothers give birth to their little bunnies, megumi was given a feminine name by the viera clan leader. once figured out as a young boy, he was then sent out to train with an older viera man ; his birth father having seemingly disappeared . . . nobody is sure what happened with toji but nobody cared. a guy would come and replace him anyways.

even in XIV, mahoraga remains untamed until endwalker : it is just bahamut's power which megumi fears at first . . . the destructiveness of summoning such a strong spell make it unpredictable to him &. everyone around. megumi hasn't learned it &. will not learn it until endwalker. after seeing the tragedy of despair in garlemald, he finally unlocked the potential to summon in a fight or flight response &. use bahamut mahoraga for himself without causing self inflicted damage. however mahoraga is still a very destructive power that needs proper training which is why in dawntrail, he settles down to just learning about his summons further.

- I absolutely loved how you seemingly “humanized” S*ra by adding her brother into the story. It adds so much more depth than just being a hateful person towards her parents. Her only redeeming quality right now is that she cares about her siblings. However, she is so socially unaware it makes me want to cry. For fuck’s sake, you’re not the Queen, Her Majesty, but a lowly peasant and shouldn’t demand a literal funeral to be the stage for your drama.

- Toji came in clutch so much. I love that man. Yeah, get rid of the trash. We stan as always. No more comments for him. ✨Perfection✨, as expected.

- But Naoya.... BAHAHAHAAH he fools around with stupid women even though he hates it. Eula is not subtle at all and it’s unreal (she needs to get her nasty hands off of him). No wonder Naoya is so uncomfortable with that lady around. But omg - what will he do with S*ra as his “girlfriend?” (The poor lad, but this is also self-inflicted so I can’t feel proper sympathy for him). Which brings me onto the next point...

- GEN, MY GODDESS. S*ra really had the audacity to call her outfit simple when she showed up in tweed like she’s in Clueless or Peaky Blinders. Anyways, I hope Gen with all of her brains knows that something is up because why would Naoya ‘date’ someone like S*ra? Because S*ra is stanky. Frankly, I also believe that Gen knows when Toji is lying to cover stuff up. He ain’t slick, Gen knows all. I hope Gen ruins that snake’s life since she’s been hyped up so much and I can’t wait to see her at full power 😈

- I’m so happy that you’ve given Satoru a redemption arc in some aspects. I know you receive a lot of people complaining about how you control YOUR story. But I do appreciate it because we love character development. ESPECIALLY, with the mum. It genuinely brings me joy that he’s giving her a chance. It’s just another way of showing his growth as a person and how much he’s willing to try for Y/N; because I remember when Y/N wanted him to at least treat his mum with respect.

- I’m also very concerned for Y/N, not just for the fainting part but also because I don’t want her to give in to Satoru just yet? If that makes any sense?? You make me worry about her as if she’s real haha. While I love that she’s having small moments of happiness, like Satoru sticking up for her, I also now hope it’s not just the hormones messing with her lol. However, regarding her development, I really hope that Satoru helps Y/N by just keeping S*ra as humanly far away as possible. Plus, I’d love for her to design more clothes, because it’d be a great time for her to focus on what she loves.

- So, back to the pregnancy 👀 Istg, what if the baby is in danger now??? Like- I don’t want Y/N to bear the pain of losing a child, because I know how hard it can be on the body and mind. Also, I’d love to see how the baby influences the story (not even born yet and already plays a big role, so proud). Will the baby prompt Y/N to stay with Satoru? Or will it be all the more reason for her to divorce? Will this make Dadjo more pleased with his son because there’s an heir in the picture? He’s a sleaze, so most likely.

I actually really liked the moment Sera had with her brother. It made her seem more human and less like a delusional demon. LMA0. Also loved that this is how Gojo finds out about YN’s condition AND pregnancy because I just couldn’t see her finding the “right” time to tell him about her heart problems or pregnancy had she known about it. I feel like he’s happy about starting a family with YN but also super worried about how it’ll effect her health and if she’d even want to keep it (I feel like she would want to keep it but Gojo knows she wouldn’t be as happy as she should considering the state of their marriage) I also think he’d feel like she’s settling for him because of the child and not because she’s genuinely choosing him. Idk, Gojo seems like he truly understood why YN initially wanted the divorce in this chapter, his growth has been amazing and he’s been extremely vulnerable with YN lately, but I believe he knows a baby won’t fix their marriage and that a baby shouldn’t be the main reason YN stays. So I think I can picture him still trying to discuss the divorce with YN? Or like at least entertaining “a break” for her sake. I feel like YNs feelings about the pregnancy will be all over the place, and Gojo will just try to be reassuring about whatever YN decides. Either way I still very much want them to be end game. 💓🥺 I was born a hopeless romantic and I’m for sure going to die one. 🤣 Happy Gojo & his mom made up, and I hope Eula’s bitch ass gets caught up, I feel like the guilt is going to eat away at her son so he’ll slip up eventually & that’ll be her downfall. I wonder how YN is going to explain the whole divorce stuff to their families if she decides to stay? Naoya's a smart guy, he has to be suspecting something for him to have been even uncomfortable at the mention of Eula's name regardless of the setting. I'm sure he has worries that something might come out that could reveal him as a confidant to Eula as well as implicate his family's reputation.

I also just hated Eula so much this chapter. She has absolutely no right to be putting Gojo and Yuuta through this much turmoil just because of her selfish mistakes. Dadjo was already a POS, but having made it so that the dad wouldn't even spare his own son a chance to explain? It's cruel. Her entire act disgusts me. I hope Yuuta and caregiver can somehow bring Nana justice.

Also Sera's younger siblings 😭 They deserve the world. Sucks that Sera has to be the way that she is. Wish she would just pour her energy into the people who should matter more in her life.

Perhaps, dying in your sleep would be better than suffering in a hospital bed fighting for your life.

Is this foreshadowing? I'm scared 😭 You mentioned one last 3am scene that would be heartbreaking for Gojo.. or perhaps the child?

second, idk where to begin. but i’ll just mention the main points i rlly appreciated abt this chapter:

i just looove how you wrote sera’s pov esp when she got home. this entire chapter was a rollercoaster istg from sera appearing at the funeral home, to introducing herself to satoru’s mom, and toji intervening at the right moments (toji’s a godsend i swear, also when toji said that sera was naoya’s gf i cackled). but i really like how you wrote sera’s conversation with her brother. i went from hating sera in the funeral home scene to actually crying when she said that her siblings will always be her priority, and also when her brother said that when they’re grown up, sera will also be their priority 🥲 idk what else her role will be in the story, but i sincerely hope this is the turning point where she finally gives up on satoru and focuses her love on her siblings. she’s done many horrible things, and idk i may be too nice abt this lmao, but i genuinely think she deserves this love she’s getting from them. she deserves to be happy with them. it’s time for her to actually look around at what she has.

ok so next. what the hell was that plot twist 😭😭 that last part was just 📈📈📉📉📈📉📈📉📈📈📈 i knew that as soon as i saw the fluffy parts i shouldn’t have let my guard down!!! /j shsjsjkssk but fr tho this was like the most shocking way for us (and for satoru??) to find out abt everything, like the angina and the pregnancy???? i was fr NOT expecting the pregnancy (tho maybe a few weeks ago i did consider that y/n might end up preggo eventually). but like, we rlly found out at the exact same moment satoru found out abt y/n’s heart condition huh 😭 ngl it was an immersive experience bc like, damn this must be what satoru feels atm. whenever i read SN i try my best to be quiet bc my parents are up already by the time it’s posted but fuuuck i was screeching like a mad chicken at the last part 💀

hey guys i hope you don’t mind me compiling bc the messages have the same trail of thought. adding sera’s scene w her siblings was somehow cathartic for me bc i’ve always wanted to show her other side. as one reader pointed out, not all characters are black and white — they have layers which makes their characterization even more interesting. this doesn’t mean sera’s actions are forgivable tho but at least you can see that she’s still human. as for naoya, yes we love our master manipulator 💀 he’s been uncomfy around eula tho and that says a lot bc honestly naoya has always been able to control his emotions but not as much this time.

the funny thing about the fake marriage thing is that between all our friends they would never even actually think we’re together bc we’re both just too gay LMAO also yes... i’m rlly glad this is a safe space and that many can relate <3 i wish all closeted gays a good evening and i hope that they know that they are always loved and accepted even if it seems like they’re not.

i’m glad someone likes the idea of the role reversal btw <3 i personally loved satosugu’s whole thing in the manga and it made me pass out when gojo literally went “my soul rejects you” like okay we get it.. their dynamic is just so good and i want to go on a whole rant about how much i love them and how geto was truly the only one that could call him out and be considered his ‘equal’... also that part where geto goes “at least curse at me a little at the very end” while smiling hahaha. they’re in love your honor.

BUT AAAAAA. imagine if gojo had to kill rip!mc himself in this role reversal and like... i just imagine he had a very sad conversation with shoko asking her to basically not get rid of the body (like he did with geto). i feel like he’d blame himself and think that he actually cursed her? getwo did say he was only considerate in the most awkward moments so 😌.. I’M SORRY FOR THE ANGST BUT ITS SOOOOOOO <3 the prison realm gets activated and all gojo can think about is how he failed rip!mc and i imagine for the brief moment the body’s personality switches back rip!mc tears up bc gojo says “i’m sorry” and she knows he’s too proud to say that. hehe - 💫 anon

the part abt rip!mc regaining control of her body only for gojo to tell her im sorry....goodbye that actually hurts :D sdfjdsfnjhg OUCH

you know what’s even sadder??? rip!mc not being killed by gojo. she quits being a jujutsu sorcerer after riko’s death. gojo and geto and shoko keep their distance after she quits, especially gojo (otherwise he’d be showing up at her place every other day tbh), because they think she just needs time. like i’ve said before, after the amanai incident everyone just pretended rip!mc was okay when she really wasn’t okay. but she was insistent that they leave her alone, so they left it. mental health care in japan, especially back then??? horrible. so obviously none of them had the proper resources to fully acknowledge their trauma (and that’s on the adults!!!)

and then she dies. off screen. no fanfare or bravo just like nanami

soon yaga is telling them, fingers squeezing his temple, voice trembling that you’re dead. silence ensues afterwards as they try to digest the information. the cigarette falls out of shoko’s mouth. geto’s eyes are wide. gojo’s shock turns into fury within seconds, and not even geto knows if he’s mad at you, himself, or the world.
