i want to cut my hair again. like, undercut with shaved sides, kind of like these fabulous humans:

the only problem is convincing my parents that having short hair won't "turn me into a boy" (little do they know...)

my best bet is to bring it up to them, citing the summer heat (which is actually pretty true, it's really hot and my hair has so much volume) and the way I dislike my hair sticking to my face (it falls just below my ears). I could offer to go alone and pay for it myself, and then tell the hair stylist that I'm non-binary fluid and would like a hairstyle that reflected that.

This is my current hair, btw, but it's grown out a few centimeters since this pic was taken lol
